Reviews of Pho Saigon
I. C.
Ordered summer rolls. a beef pho, and beef vermicelli. Absolutely delicous ( see pics ) Only issue we had was that the chopsticks they gave us was the disposable wooden one and was too small for a giant bowls we had, not applicable, and made it difficult to eat. Not sure, maybe the pandemic had a role to playu in this. Wait staff were speaking Cantonese! my language :D

As indicated by the name: the house of the Pho. So stick to it. It is coming with all its vegetables and exotic herbs typical of the Vietnamese Pho. I've tried also as a starter the famous Bánh xèo and it was really good. For the rest, the beef meat is not the best and not so tender, and it is a kind of pity because the recipes are well executed with a lots of fragrance and taste. The staff is really friendly, helpfull and provides good advice.

This restaurant offers tasty Vietnamese dishes at affordable prices. During my visit I enjoyed a papaya salad and vermicelli in spicy soup. The salad was light and refreshing; the soup wasn’t as spicy as I would’ve liked but it was still very yummy.
T. K.
We ordered beef brisket and seafood pho, they were big portions and very tasty too. The service is friendly and prices are affordable.
I. A.
The taste of the "curry rice" was special. Located in a very accessible environment. The reception was warm and quite engaging. I will recommend anytime especially for a first timer.
B. D.
Food is good but they are rarely open when they advertise they are for sit down diners. You can't rely on them being open to eat in - I have tried to go back to eat here for more the 2 months & each day it changes all the time. They do a big take away/delivery business & aren't interested in sit down diners, they prefer not to clean up or even offer service, because when I did eat in the service was really bad. We were seated but then had to wait 20mins for menus, another 30mins before they took our order & then 30mins before we received just our drinks, 40mins before our first food dish came out & there were only 2 tables of customers!!

Stumbled across this place on Friday night just shortly before closing. The owners were friendly and welcoming.
We ordered chicken satay and crispy prawns for starters and they were both fresh made and so tasty.
We ordered prawn noodles as our main which was big enough to share between two people. That was OK but not as special as the starters.
Would definitely visit again.

A nice looking restaurant with good staff. I had the beef pho but I found out a bit too salty. The chilli and salt fried squid was done very well as we're the spring rolls. Sadly the papaya salad want as fresh and tasty as I was hoping for. Reasonable pricing.
A. D.
We went in for lunch the restaurant was quite busy.
We ordered the green mango salad and green papaya salad with the king prawn. It was absolutely fresh and delicious.
For the main I ordered a chicken fried rice which was tasty.
The restaurant is clean and spacious. The ambience in the restaurant is good.
The service is attentive but not overbearing.
We will definitely be coming back.

I think we found our favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the neighbourhood that is very affordable with large portions. The restaurant is relatively quiet on a Tuesday evening which meant we were seated and served promptly. I really like they're simple menu; It's actually colour-coded so you can quickly decipher appetizers, mains course and more. The menu had all of our Vietnamese favourited so it was easy to find what we wanted to eat. We ordered the wings and vegetable spring rolls as appetizers which were very delicious. We tried a rice and noodle dish for the main course which was also very well prepared. The servers were friendly and attentive and the bathrooms were nice and clean. We're looking forward to returning to try more of the menu. The only complaint is the very slippery chopsticks 😂 you can't really grab spring rolls with them.

This restaurant overwhelmed by the busyness due to the 50% off plan. Although we had a reservation, we had to queue outside for almost half an hour. There was one server/front-of-house for the entire restaurant floor which is definitely where all the waiting problems arose.
When we finally got a table and chose what we wanted, we then had to get the waiter’s attention which was a challenge. As she was so busy she gave us her notepad and pen for us to write down what we wanted, and then we spent another 5 mins getting her attention so she could take the note from us. After that we waited just over 30mins for our food to arrive, and the tap water we ordered never came.
This was my first time trying Vietnamese food and the sizzling chicken dish we ordered was great! The beef brisket pho was ok... the meat was surprisingly dry even though it was in a soup but I won’t say too much about the food until I have tried more Vietnamese food and make a comparison.
Overall, alright food but the service was awful due to a lack of staff. That one waitress was doing front of house AND managing the queue AND cleaning AND taking orders AND serving, all in a packed restaurant. Gave it 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because I feel like this place would be great if they weren’t so busy or if they had more waiting staff.
K. S.
Great food, amazing taste and good presentation. Went here for a meal with my wife and ordered two starters: chilli salt pepper tofu and spring rolls. Both were just incredibly delicious.
Mains was noodles and a side of garlic pak choi. We enjoyed thoroughly and were full after that.
Great vegetarian options and worth a visit or two.
Toilets are downstairs so might not be disabled friendly. Free parking outside after 7pm in loading bay.

This is a small restaurant in ealing and it is clean so far apart of the toilet check list were missing. However, it was clean on this occasion but it is mandatory to have one. The service is not really exclusive, as We were missing the politeness, kindness and friendliness. The staff are Chinese, Indian or Pakistani. No Vietnamese in the restaurant. Now to the main subject the food: surprisingly tasty. The whole Sea Bass in chilli for 18£ is really good as shown on pictures in my review. The beef in the betal leaves is tasty, but a bit too much fried.
M. F. F. S.
Totally recommended, real Vietnamese food, fresh, good portions, more than happy to come back
G. P.
I love this place. Very good Vietnamese food and drinks. I really enjoyed it. Waitress was very helpful and kind. We will definitely be back again. Thank you
S. O.
Really good food, we ordered chilli salt and pepper wings, squid and pork spring rolls for starter. The wings were tiny which was a bit disappointing and the spring rolls were filled with more noodles than pork which was a shame. Mains were a good size, all really enjoyable. Really friendly Staff, cheap and cheerful; will definitely be back.
K. D.
The food was tasty, however they really need some improvement on the service, one extra staff would make a difference
M. S.
Great food, especially the Pho. Friendly service. Would definitely visit again
M. R.
They don't have mushrooms broccoli or broccoli!!! Which is very disappointing when I asked for these vegetables to be added to the site fry.
I also.asked for a Bailey's (Irish) coffee as advertised on thr menu but when made they don't offer cream.
There is an abundance of beansprouts in the food. On the while the food is actually very tasty but I found the menu a bit limited. The decor is lovely and the people friendly. Chicken satay Came out delicious and hot but I won't be going back due to the lack of vegetables.
C. N.
Lovely restaurant! Good ambience and the food was absolutely sublime! Fantastic blend of flavors. Will definitely be going back!
A. M.
Really delicious squid starter! I've seen some photos online of other dishes so will be returning to try some more. I have the pork cutlet and rice main...however pork was on the dry side.
The lady was nice to let me eat when she had 20mins till closing time at lunch, so I appreciate her kindness ...will be sure to go back to eat the squid and try other delicious dishes!
C. F.
Great value and delicious Vietnamese food! I've eaten there a few times now, tried a few different dishes, and I've never been disappointed. The service is quite quick, and staff are also quite friendly and not overbearing.
A. W.
Pros :
Tasty and fresh food
Good variety of options
Prices are very reasonable
Good lunch deals
Cons:
Toilet was not working properly and was dirty
Beers are expensive compared to the rest of the meal
The food tasted very fresh and had lots of flavour, especially the pho. It came just about quick enough, we were starting to get worried and then it arrived, especially considering there were only two other tables occupied when we arrived.
The lunch menu is very reasonably priced, with a pho costing around £5.50.
J. M.
Absolutely wonderful staff and excellent food! They are fully set up to deal with restrictions as they stand and they are endlessly helpful. The food is also really very good and as someone who eats a lot of Vietnamese food, I think this place is one of the best. Highly recommended 👍
L. B.
Loved the food and service !! They serve complimentary rice crackers. Moderately priced across menu.
T. K.
First time here and no regrets. Starters and mains were full of flavor, fresh ingredients and not salty. The base sauce was very tasty. Highly recommend a visit
M. K.
Mango salad very good, beef noodles good as well. Pho I found lacking taste a bit.
G. R.
Awesome place with caring staff. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
P. L.
Very nice Vietnamese food! Great value and excellent service!
J. L.
Pho was ok the soup base can be a bit stronger in flavour. The spring roll was not what I expected - the Vietnamese fried rice paper roll, it was more of the chinese takeaway spring roll.
P. G.
Very good quality. A cut above the norm phone place. Good value lunch option where I has spicy ribs which were yum.
D. T.
Good food and attentive staff. Reasonable prices, would return again.
H. W.
After disinfecting our hands from the dispenser provided, we sat down near the window, close to the entrance which was quite ventilated. and ordered the food. We ordered two Pork Spring Rolls plus two Wok Fried Flat Noodles with King Prawns. The Rolls were fantastic, full of flavour and so were the noodles with tasty and fresh tender Prawns.
A. M.
I come here quite often - every time I want Vietnamese in Ealing, and most every time I'd like Asian too - I know it'll satisfy my cravings!
All the food here is delicious! The servings and prices are all reasonable ( the lunch deal without a doubt ), and the service is fast and kind.
s. w.
Janet is very helpful and sociable always enjoy the food in Ealing.
M. L.
Been working in Ealing for 5 years and been to pretty much every restaurant apart from this one. Was a business lunch and food, staff, service, ambience were all wonderful. It is streets ahead of the chains like Pho which is around the corner. Fresh, authentic cooking. Wish I had found this 5 years ago.
K. H.
I have only found a handful of Vietnamese restaurants that I really enjoy, so was happy to find a new one. Had the Chicken Satay, Grilled Pork, Green Mango Salad and spring rolls wrapped in the delicate rice paper(?). Everything tasted very distinct with many subtle exotic flavors exploding on my tongue. Good quality food and friendly service. Wonderful.
W. L.
I have a pretty high standard when it comes to food and their food are amazing. Price is fair too. Love their pho and fried rice.
P. C.
Absolutely delicious. Pho is amazing as expected, and other great dishes include the summer rolls, dumplings and chilli squid. Service is fast and to the point, food is the star of the show
L. T.
Lived in several places around the world with big Vietnamese communities and I struggle to find as good pho here in London, but pho Saigon fits the bill! Strongly recommend the pho, but I've tried several other grilled and noodle dishes and have always been more than satisfied.
J. M.
This restaurant did a great job. The food was gorgeous and they are simply doing things the right way. Been working in Ealing for 5 years and been to pretty much every restaurant apart from this one. It was okay - no problems but nothing special about the food or service
M. Y.
Good value for what you get. Quick. Nice lunch deals

Visited this place with my mum as she said the food was good, and it was tasty and authentic, but not as good but it was close to my mum's cooking. Prices were a bit more expensive then the chain pho place down the round but the portions were very generous. The owner and wait staff was also very welcoming.
P. P.
Great authentic Vietnamese restaurant, family run. Excellent range of delicious dishes, beautifully presented, in a tranquil setting (photos here of restaurant and food don't do it justice) Very reasonably priced, too. We had a great meal and will definitely be back. Give it a try!
n.
I visited Vietnam last year & I fell in love with the country. A part of that was the magnificent cuisine on offer. I got back to London & I found myself missing the food so I had no option but to find a Vietnamese restaurant to fill the void.
Fortunately I didn't have to travel very far to find this. In fact Pho Saigon was virtually on my doorstep!
If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine I cannot recommend Pho Saigon enough. The food is every bit as good as I experienced in Vietnam itself - all for a very reasonable price.
The ambience is also fantasic & the owner as well as the staff are attentive, very polite, welcoming & respectful.
I urge you to go & find this out for yourself!
V. F.
Had some take away from here for the first time. Nice food. Really yummy😋
L. B.
Lovely minimal theme to the restaurant, wait staff are the kind that remember your order and everything arrives promptly, but not suspiciously so! We had the summer rolls, pork spring rolls and salt and pepper squid for starters. Everything was fantastic, freshly cooked and well seasoned, the summer rolls were particularly lovely with a surprising addition of mint that we all enjoyed. The pho was beautiful! The stock on its own had a wonderful beefy flavour and the meat was soft and tender, my only criticism here is I would have liked more veggies on the side to add in. They had sriracha though so everything worked out OK. Will be back!
R. A. N.
One of my most favourite local restaurants for a delicious light meal. The Pho Ga chicken broth with oriental vegetables and fresh herbs is excellent. The helpings are generous and the prices are reasonable.
That is probably why it is one of the busiest and most popular restaurants in Ealing Broadway.
t. s.
Nice clean restaurant with a classy ambiance. Food comes quickly and is pretty good. The vegetarian selection is limited, but a solid 3 stars overall. Be aware there is a service charge here.
W. S.
have to confess I forgot just how good and consistent this place is. The food is always outstanding. And I am very fussy! The staff are also super friendly. Thank you for my amazing dinner. See you very soon ;)
S. H.
Absolutely amazing food for a good price. Everything tasted fresh and really flavourful. Service was great and attentive without being over-bearing. The salt and pepper chicken wings were incredible!
D. C.
Located centrally so relatively easy to find but could be mistaken for pho Vietnamese Street food, which is 5 mins walk from each other.
Food OK, can't say the best, the soup noodle bowl was tasteless. The starters however was good.
Price - I think it could be cheaper but still within acceptable tolerant around 20 pounds per head if you want a hearty meal.
Ambience is kind of non-existent as the lady keep the door open for 5 mins to cool the room then close it again but to us, I really don't know what's going on as we sit by the.door. General customers mind their own business.
Service - well, there's none, as there's one person running the whole place when we were there, she was stroppy when it started but got better during starter, then got worse when it's main course. Think they really need someone that dedicated to floor services, rather than someone who try to do everything, greet-service-bill, etc..
Suggest for improvement - get a dedicated servicing staff who know what good customer service means who lift the rating to five star easy. .!!!
D. B.
Really friendly and helpful service, interesting tangy and spicy flavours but not so keen on the tired rice or rice noodles. However on the current half price deal, eating here is a fantastic bargain and well worth a culinary adventure, if vietnamese food is new to you. (Have been twice.)
F. W.
Excellent food and big time portions.
E. C.
A jewel in Ealing Broadway!!
Superb food with great service. Highly recommend the Crunchy Mango Salad as a starter. The noodle soups are delicious too, packed with fresh ingredients and plenty of meat.
Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.
S. G.
Lovely evening at Pho Saigon. I heard good reviews about this place so decided to go along and try. We were not disappointed. The mango salad to start with was Beautiful , fresh and fragrant and went well with a cold glass of Chablis. Our main course we struggled to choose so had a little help from our smiley waitress - chicken curry which was like a masaman curry was light and very tasty. My husband had the mixed dish with pork, noodles and vegetables- the Pork was sooo tasty. I know what I will be having next time. We saw the restaurant fill up and was full when we left. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be going again.
A. R. F.
Amazing vietnamese in Ealing, the food was delicious! Special mention for the Mango salad with tofu, highly recommended.
Also, not to be missed: Sunmer rolls, wow! That sauce they put on the side is amazing, tastes different from any other sauce I've tried.
The wok with flat rice noodles and king prawns is really good too, large portion as well.
Last but not least, the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. This is something different compared to usual frappuccino stuff. The vietnamese is more sweet and ice chunks are larger. Would recommend if you like very sweet coffee (goes very well with spicy food too!)
Will definitely come back if I have the chance!
D. T.
Very friendly staff and quick service. Having lived in Vietnam for a year I can honestly say this is the most authentic Vietnamese that I've been to since returning home. Delicious food and great atmosphere - will be returning!
N. I.
Great food, reasonably priced, and very friendly service. Having tried a lot of London's Vietnamese restaurants, I'm a big fan of Pho Saigon as being one of the most authentic. Highly recommended!
N.
Atmosphere is good and so are staff but one staff member kept on pushing me to keep on buying, therefore one star off. And when one of my vegetarian family members ordered 'vegetarian spring rolls' ,they brought her duck spring rolls!
J. M.
Delicious authentic pho and friendly staff
A. C.
Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Pretty much on par with most other Vietnamese/Pho restaurants. At time of this review restaurant had food hygiene rating of 4.
A. P.
Beautiful little cafe ,amazing food and lovely staff . My vegan wife was spoilt for choice while I was able to enjoy a farmers meat sourbread sandwich and side salad . We definitely will be returning soon
a. g.
Amazing, amazing food and the waiter was really caring. Strongly recommend!
N. D.
Spend 3 months in Vietnam and the flavors here are totally authentic and with fresh ingredients and vegetables. The pho is great as is goi cuon rolls. Bun thit nuong grilled pork also fantastic. Super friendly Vietnamese staff who went to great length and even made an off the menu famous egg coffee for me. Must try place with excellent value for money food.
C. P.
Best Pho ever! If you want traditional, good, healthy Pho here is the place to go! Lovely staff and delicious food with big portions. 100% recommend :)
A. B.
Brilliant food. Very fresh ingredients. I had the Beef which was well cooked and very satisfying. The staff are very friendly and understand the menu, which is helpful. A great overall experience.
P. M. G.
Absolutely stunning food, delicious and intriguing starters, main courses are tasty and amazing. Very clean and hygienic, staff are amazingly friendly and polite - if you visiting Ealing and like Vietnamese food - must visit this place - strongly recommended!
F. T.
Best Vietnamese food in Ealing. Authentic food and cosy environment. The fried squid is a must-try and I loved the bún with chick satay that I had. Friendly staff and comfy atmosphere.

The first time I came here it was in an attempt to find somewhere special for my bus pass birthday. As soon as I saw the place I had a good feeling about it. It was clean, there were lovely fresh flowers and there was absolutely nothing creepy or fske about the decor. As soon as i started eating I decided that this was the perfect venue.
The atmosphere and food are both delicious: Van Nguyen, the proprietor and his stsff, really care abou tthe food and the diners are treated like guests.
Three weeks later nineteen of my friends and family feasted for three hours on sparklingly wonderful authentic Vietnamese cuisine. As I sm nearly vegetarian i wish Vsn would ptoduce a cook book. I hate cooking but for this food i eould havr a go.
S. R.
Good food, nice place.
A.
Good value for money however I do question the authenticity of the food as the spring rolls was not very Vietnamese style. Pho itself was tasty though.
M. J.
This was ace. The food is so fresh. Until this popped up on Google I had forgotten about it but will be going back soon. Really great flavours and decent value. Slightly off the main road so wander away from the broadway a little. You really should go.
C. W.
Modern Vietnamese with good variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Generous sized portions. Relaxed feel, staff are friendly and not over attentive.
K. A.
Friendly staff and good food! The pho is always good and they have several other options (vermacelli noodles are good in the summer). Always enjoy going.
M. L.
Excellent freshly prepared food with distinctive flavours. The calm setting seems like an escape from the noise outside and service is attentive. Highly recommended.
c. d.
Nice bridge to walk by or walk across but not a location to visit in its own right. No significant sites to be seen from the bridge except the massive refurb of Battersea Power Station. One of the lesser known bridges across the River Thames. The bridge connects Pimlico on the north bank with Vauxhall on the south bank,
R. P.
Excellent authentic Vietnamese cuisine - spiced to the individual pallete
J. S.
Fresh and tasty. I ordered a spicy soup and the patron hovered to check it wasn't too spicy for me. It hit the spot on a chilly day. Ultra clean and friendly place
M. H.
The food is delicious, really enjoyed the seafood pho, and the vermicelli bowl. The service is also fantastic and friendly. We'll definitely come back.
t. c.
Very tasty food, the interior is ok. Totally recommend this place for the food
P. F.
Quiet as you'd imagine, but the food was fresh, hot and amazingly flavourous. Not one to turn your nose up to for sure!
R. T.
Very authentic Vietnamese cuisine but they could do away with the catered dessert menu that ruins the overall effect. Excellent service.
k. 1.
Friendly people, good fast service and above all very delicious authentic Vietnamese food! Far better than anything you'd get in a chain.
N. I.
Excellent new restaurant... helpful staff who explain about the different dishes. Excellent value for money. Definitely go there!
