Have ordered from here many times over the years, the food is always great and it's a really nice, eclectic addition to the Sheen food scene. On one occasion (bearing in mind have ordered many times, each other time was delivered perfectly) we experienced a very minor issue with our order and they reacted immediately, going way above and beyond to put things right.

I have to be honest here: I used to go to a sandwich place as a kid with my grandpa when I holidayed there, in New York City. My husband and I both got the Ruben for dinner. It might have brought back sweet memories of my grandpa and our lovely sandwich lunches. They are simply that good. The wings were on par with chiles or apple bees, but better cooked and honestly, the owners are delightful people! Overall great restaurant and experience!

Since review they have upped their game*** Slaw served in a tiny sauce container you normally receive ketchup in - costing £2.15!!!! 1/2 kg Chicken wings that you could eat in one bite and we’re shrivelled beyond comprehension with no buffalo sauce and tasted like fish. Fries portion literally a handful in a bag. I like to support local restaurants which I know pickle & rye are, but sadly I have to pass when the quality and portions are unforgivable. Only redeeming factor that didn’t make me phone to ask for the food to be taken away and ask for a refund were the ribs they got a huge thumbs up, sauce and tenderness were excellent. Can’t help but think if we had ordered in the restaurant they wouldn’t dare send out such food or portions. Won’t be ordering again or supporting this local business anymore sadly.

What a little gem! This is a little cafe diner setup. We were about to order a deliveroo burgers from this place, but decided to stop by instead. Burgers are fantastic, service excellent and super friendly, nice choice of drinks, alcoholic or non. Great find, we'll be back.

Nice little simple down to earth restaurant/coffee shop. Deco inside is basic but this does not reflects on the high prices on the menu . I had their pancake and it was ok and average to what you get on London. Not to the American standard but hey, it will do . Service was with a smile and pretty quick. I personally would not rush back but if you are in Mortlake then try it out and see it for yourself.

I really had a craving for a Reuben and I didn't have the ingredients at home so headed down to Pickle & Rye to get my fix. Unfortunately, the Reuben was pretty bland. The salt beef was uninspiring and the expected tang from the sauerkraut was completely missing. It was massively disappointing. I couldn't even finish half before I gave up and put it in the recycling. Thankfully, I ordered a small portion of buffalo wings which was very tasty and went very well with the ranch that they supplied. I'll visit once more as I really want to try the ribs, so I'm hopeful that they'll be on par with the buffalo wings!

Great american-style/american-sized breakfast with buttermilk pancakes, bacon, maple syrup, fried potatoes, etc. The kids loved being able to add whipped cream and marshmallows to their pancakes (the latter I've never seen back home but fun nonetheless!)

I'm a fan of a big public affair as next as the next man who has been force-fed romantic comedies for the past few years, but there comes a time when you have to ask the pair to reign it in, in public at least, or take it to the next level. So while the capital's love affair with American food means you can barely move for another hip burger, shake or fried chicken joint, Pickle & Rye have gone down a slightly forgotten but more satisfying route of the great American sandwich. And what's more, they've done in a short walk from Mortlake station rather than Shoreditch. Like their food, it's all very refreshing. Pickle & Rye really does feel like a classic US neighbourhood joint. The deli has recently moved into a larger premises to increase seating and everybody who walks into the always-full shop is greeted with an enthusiastic "Hi, how are you doing?" In many cases, it's because they know the customers. If they don't, they probably will soon. It's impossible not to want to return. The star is naturally the Reuben on Rye - a behemoth of a salt beef sandwich - but the breakfast menu is equally delicious and if you can get over the word saladize, the salad versions of their sandwich menu are a tasty alternative if you're laying off the carbs. Put simply, this is a sandwich shop doing what a sandwich shop does best - great, filling food at a reasonable price. This is American expansionism (especially of the waist) at it's best and I, for one, would welcome further growth.

Enchanting place! been looking all over southwest London for decent pancakes that weren't the microwaved kind that some restaurants do. pickle and rye had great service, lovely attentive waiter called Alex. the portion sizes were good ;) always ask for extra maple syrup just in case.
