What a fantastic Aladdin’s Cave of all things wholesome and vegan! And I’m not even a vegan… The galettes are wonderful and a perfect brunch alongside generous freshly made juices. Enjoy!

Great zero waste/refill shop as it has a big variety of stock. The food and coffee in the cafe is good too. However, it could be SO MUCH better if they stopped overfilling the cafe and shop with stuff. The cafe is now an uncomfortable squeeze because it’s full of cards and gifts. I wouldn’t even consider eating there again as there is no comfort in it. It’s the same in the shop, for some reason they have table to eat in there (a smaller one each time I’ve been back). It’s awkward. You feel like you are invading a diner’s personal space while they eat lunch and you browse. I always fear knocking stuff over as there is stuff everywhere! It’s overwhelming and unnecessary. It could be a brilliant cafe and shop with a better lay out and common sense!

An average review of 4.5 massively underestimates place. I’m not a vegan, hippie or a treehugger and very much love my steak. Wondered around Brixton with my hungry 6 year old daughter and she chose! Never knew of this place until my boss and his partner took me here. A truly amazing shop. All natural pure products, with a nice focus on reduced packaging. People are highly encouraged to bring their own containers for the items they wish to purchase. Not to worry if you don’t move paper bags are on hand too. Everything is in a self service manner and done by weight. The foot traffic in here was busy as was the coffee shop added onto the place. If natural simplistic and good whole food is your cup of tea visit Pipoca today. Don’t forget your containers.

I was a frequent visitor to the pop up at King's Cross and Pipoca galettes were one of the foods I missed most during lockdown. I finally had chance to have one again today at their proper home in Brixton and it was even better! Absolutely brilliant food in great portion sizes, even for a hungry person like me! Lovely little store and loads of tempting vegan products. The kind of place you could take a non-vegan to show them how healthy and yet awesomely fun vegan food can be.

Fusion French and Brazilian with a touch of Portuguese From 0-5 Food: 4.5 Service: 4.5 Environment: 5 Very cozy and comfortable with drying flowers hanging from the ceiling. The staff is very friendly and the food is to die for. If you never had a "feijoada" (the this a bean dish very common in Brazil and Portugal), specially made with black beans you are missing out on food. Pipoca serve this dish and also has a signature Gallete with black beans. I recommend! I thought this place was going to be good but wasn't expecting it to be so good My friend and I had a "jamming" Gallete each and divided a sweetie vegan for dessert. The jamming Gallete was absolutely amazing, with plantain, black beans, jack fruit, jalapenos (for a spicy kick) and a sauce that just kicked all of this together. The dessert, sweetie vegan, wasn't too sweet. The sweetness came from the fruit and nuts. If I have to put a flaw on it would be that it was a tad dry. Overall a lovely experience!

Decided to visit Pipoca after hearing good things online and from friends...and wasn't disappointed. Probably the tastiest vegan brunch I have had in a long time, felt real homemade, could taste all the elements in the hearty bean stew. Had the Mexican brunch (my partner had the equally delicious Brixton Brunch!) and we shared the Cassava chips. The staff were friendly and chatty, just lots of welcoming vibes...will 100% be returning to try other dishes on the menu! Steven.

Our first foray to a Vegan restaurant & as indicated by my rating a winner They do a great coffee (almond milk works better than expected with the Cappuccino which comes standard with a double shot 👍🏼) As it was baby steps went for a fairly unadventurous sweet crêpes. I had the one with caramelised apple, cinnamon, maple & pecan served with very surprisingly delicious ice cream ... got stuck on before the photo but did look appetising in the plate too. Chock full of beautifully caramelised apple and delicately spiced in a light fluffy gloriously gluten free galette 😋 Definitely going back to expand my vegan experience- Highly recommended.

Huge (somewhat intimidating) selection of bulk foods and zero waste options for the curious punter looking to reduce their impact on the earth. But where it really shines is the South American themed in house food menu, ranging from delicious tofu scramble bagels and hearty takes on the english breakfast to their famed crepes. An unmissable spot for a vegan breakfast in Brixton, and the staff are always lovely and attentive. Go for your weekly dried chickpea top-up, stay for the grub.

The food and store concept are very nice. It's not the first time I'm going and i love it. This time tought I think the staff member at the bulk store wasn't the most welcoming. Wasn't very patient with us and it look like whatever she was doing was more important than us. I've paid cash here before and that same day I've paid my breakfast with cash at the restaurant but this person told us that they only accept cash despite a sign saying they "prefer card" and we saying that we most probably have the right amount. Most probably she wasn't having a good day on this Sunday the 11th.

Glorious sweets!). Some is pricy but it's worth it. For me what shines is the refillable section with washing up liquid, washing powder and the like. Great to be able to be these things locally and environmentally consciously. I wish them every success.

Great little no waste vegan shop, with a great selection of plants and food. They have a peanut grinding machine that dispenses 100% pure peanut butter at a great value of 75p/100g and they even do a vegan pick and mix with foamy options! Visited after New Year and was pleased with our visit APART FROM the very rude woman who snapped at us when we ordered coffee. Yes, we get it that cows' milk is not part of your ethos, but there are more polite ways of letting us know! The coffee (+ oat milk) was good and the other staff friendly. Please think about how you speak to your customers or we may not return.

I’m not vegan. I’m knocking 50yrs and am a 6ft tall 15 stone ex rugby player. I went here slightly reluctantly as I’ve only little experience with vegan food and seem to have made all sorts of assumptions. I’m delighted to say that this place has completely blown me out of the water. I loved it. Great place. Great value for money. Fresh and delicious and I left not needing to eat any more. I recently stumbled across Pipoca and had to try it out. Went for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed the food. It's nice to see more vegan restaurants spring up that serve healthier food and don't simply try to imitate meat products. I am also super-impressed with the bulk-store next door. They have an amazing selection and I can see how I would be able to buy most non-perishable foods/goods from there going forward. So many herbs and teas as well. Really good vegan restaurant that has his own speciality, sweet & savoury crepes. They are all original and really tasty, I definitely advise to try them and maybe add some extra cheese that make them really comforting. The business also contains a zero waste shop where you can find anything from food to cleaning product. The whole thing in a really nice venue with a wonderful and nice staff. We haven't been at the restaurant so can only speak for the lovely sustainable shop - they have great sustainable products ranging from food to toiletries, which are hard to get in mainstream supermarkets, and prices are very fair. Definitely a nice little gem of this area.

Well there’s some lively reviews appearing here all of a sudden! Casting aside the unsubstantiated grumbles of some former employee and their Chicken Save associates, I am rating this restaurant based on the quality of the food and the overall customer experience. Pipoca scores five out of five on both counts. The food is delicious, the service is warm and welcoming and everything is very nicely priced. This is a gem of a place and highly recommended for anyone who loves good food, especially vegans, which is why I keep coming back again and again.

Food is pretty nice, but not on the cheap side at all! Considering it’s all plant based, it is fairly pricey! £10.50 for a breakfast and £7-8 for a pancake is a bit over the top to be honest, especially that the portions could be a bit bigger. The blonde waitress was very nice though.

Vegan food as come in leaps and bounds and Pipoca has some really delicious options. However, I have to say that my particular favourite is the peanut powder smoothie/shake which is so big and so thick. It's filling in it's own right! The other side offers package free produce and we often get dried fruit here.

What a lucky find. I don't usually go to Brixton Road, and was lucky enough that the TFL directions put me off the bus early, so I saw this as I was walking past. Decided to give it a go. Great little place. It felt a little disorganized, but I'm not sure what caused that, the drink came really quickly, and the crepe not long after. Packed full, my buckwheat pancake was delicious, and you can see it being prepared. Staff were friendly and polite. So why haven't I scored it a 5? 5 is over and above expectation. The crêpe was more than enough for me, but had an ENORMOUS amount of spinach and rocket, less in the way of mushrooms. I don't eat much, but if I had a bigger appetite I would have been a little disappointed that there wasn't more mushrooms. £9 for a pancake feels a bit expensive too. But, I will definitely go again. They also have a zero waste shop... Take pots and bags. Anything from sunflower seeds to dried mango, herbs and spices. This really did look reasonably priced.

A tasty recent edition to eating on Brixton Road, ideally located in the stretch between Kennington Park and Brixton Village. It's full vegan and they make a good menu of it, with Latin and Caribbean themes. A seat in the window, watching Brixton Road pass by is a good spot. Coffee decent too. Well, the people trying to get this place closed dwn are obviously not having much success. Went at 1 pm and it was absolutely heaving. Regardless, the two staff were both attentive and after waiting about 15 minutes to sit down (spent browsing the shop section) we got our menus, our orders in and our food within about another 10 minutes. Great, considering we were starting to think we might be in for a long wait. Even the pram-festooned table of yummy mummies discussing organic water and allergies who had ordered two meals between the 8 (including the babies) of them and who had clearly been there for a long time already didn't delay our food. And it was absolutely delicious. Tex-Mex pancake and a artichoke and olive filled galette were both scrummy; fresh ingredients, some of which I didn't recognise and lovely wrapping. Really looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Hopefully the other businesses in the block, which are a disgrace in general and couldn't care less about their shop fronts or the litter accumulating on front of them, will clean up their acts or get replaced. Brixton may be changing but some things are for the better. Fab little place.

Pipoca is what Brixton was in need. A restaurant with a family feel away from the food courts around the area. I was there on Thursday night having this delicious Pesto crepe (never seen anything like it). I am not Vegan myself but went with friends since I really enjoy vegetarian food regardless. The ambience was absolutely great. Made me feel at a small town in the country side where the restaurant is next to a old fashioned grocery store. What makes me sad is to see people or business that try unethically to destroy a restaurant's image and reputation. The Vegan community should consider these fake reviews such as Mr Aziz Salem and John S, which is clearly something arranged to damage Pipoca's reputation. The reviews are pretty similar and looks like they own a similar business. I bet those two have never been there! I have been seeing reviews on vegan places and it makes cringe to know that Vegans can be very judgmental and somehow fundamentalists. It feels like one can not do anything that is all animal related, as one would be classified as a criminal. I get the point of animal cruelty, but I am sure most of these people who are Vegans somehow impact on animals too. As an example: their place of work must have a seat with leather, the shoes the wear are made of leather, clothes, and so on. I believe in constructive criticism but the way Vegans behave makes me think that I should never even bother going to any Vegan related venue as I could be exorcised or brainwashed into it.
