Highly recommended. They actually do good stuff here that tastes like stuff you get in the southern US. had the pulled pork sandwich and it was seriously like I was back in the states again. So i really recommend this place 5 out of 5!!!

Good vibes, hearty, good-sized portions. We must have gone during the last setting so I can't speak for the atmosphere. That said, we were all happy with our food. We booked well in advance, based around the reviews I could find and after visiting the website. As we were only in Camden Town for 1 night and not local to the area, we wanted a relaxed and informal meal for a corporate meal, party of 5 and were ideally looking for a local independent. The service from James was excellent, from start to finish, he was unique and attentive and seemed to actually have a passion for providing GREAT service, which is becoming more and more elusive to find! The food was very good. A simple, but really well executed menu, emphasis on great quality ingredients, cooked very well. The Burgers were some of the best any of us had tried and food is very reasonably priced - Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again!!! Nailed it.

I didn’t actually go to this one I went to the one at bank side, but I had my table waited by someone called James who usually works at Camden branch. His service was beyond excellent and made the whole experience even better. The foods great too .

My brother and I popped in for dinner before going to a concert. We were welcomed in a friendly fashion, seated and served in good time. My brother had the brisket burger I had the mac and cheese burger and we shared a plate of loaded fries. All were excellent, juicy and full of flavour. Update: just to be sure this place is good, I visited this place a second time. The wings - are RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. I also tried a simple cheeseburger and have to say it was in my top 5 burgers of all time. Why? The beef brisket is incredible. You know a burger is brilliant when you dare not put ketchup anywhere near it... Cos you Dare Not spoil the taste. Some have said the drinks are expensive... but if you stick to beer and wine - the prices are the same as most pubs and restaurants in the area - not crazy. If you’re thinking about it - stop thinking - GO!!!

Great staff, amazing starters- specifically the croquettes and buffalo wings, so delicious. The ribs are also fantastic, however the chicken burger was slightly dry, helped by buffalo sauce! generous selection of drinks, very reasonably priced menu, and overall a great little spot in Camden. Amazing food. Staff friendly. Had a short wait for a table as we hadn't booked but was seated in around 10 minutes on a Saturday lunchtime. Can't argue with that! Had the chili cheese fries starter which was the nicest chili I had ever had. Full of flavour. Main course I had the half a chicken. Again full of flavour and the bones just pulled out of the meat. Tasty beer as well. Couldn't find any fault with porky's. All round amazing experience

Been here twice now and had great food and service on both occasions. We had burgers last time which were cooked perfectly and so moist available with a variety of toppings. Prior visit we had more traditional BBQ again beautifully smoked meat and sauce with so much taste, good size portions so you should be set for the evening.

I just finished my meal here. Very impressed. I rarely eat American food when i am in Europe, since, franky, it usually isn't very good. But not this place. My St. Louis style ribs were to die for, as was the chicken dish I tasted. The side dishes were excellent as well. All for an incredibly decent price! And did I mention the beer? Several great American craft brews were on tap. I will be back!!

I've had many burgers in many cities and I can honestly say this was the best burger I've ever had. No joke. We had a festive special which included a pint and some fries for £12, unbelievable offer. Would definitely recommend this little diamond. Right in the middle of the Camden Market. Do not miss. Get some waffles too if you can!

Lovely Staff, nice atmosphere and a cool place to grab a drink and some food. I ordered the baby back ribs, and I'm a bit of a rib connoisseur - these were some tasty ribs! However! I've had better, they weren't as tender as I'd hoped, the meat was pretty tough and hadn't been slow cooked long enough or put in a hot smoker like truly authentic American style barbecue places would do. At the prices I paid here I expected better. I'd love to give them a second chance on these though. Also the cheaper house pilsner is pretty weak - pay the extra and choose something else unless it's happy hour.

Very authentic pulled pork! After spending 10 years in the south of the US, I've got to say this was better than so many BBQ places I've been to in the states! Try their habanero jam for that extra kick!

Fabulous place that really focuses on customer satisfaction. There was a slight misunderstanding with our order, and the manager did all on his hand to compensate and make us enjoy a fantastic dinner. Both mine and my wife's dishes were fantastic.st Louis ribs with burnt ends and sweet potato fries. Slaw and pickles also really tasty. Ribs full of flavour and big! Cocktails were well done too, my wife's a cocktail nut and she said they were excellent. Atmosphere was authentic and service spot on. My only (very minor) criticism would be my ribs could be a tad hotter, wife tells me they were warm enough so probably just a personal thing. This is miles better than the meal we had at the big easy btw

Looking around, for something to eat on a sunday. Then only to find out that they do a sunday offer for a cheese burger and fries for £5.95. They service was quick and prompt and there was no issues. Tried this restaurant on Saturday late afternoon, when was not busy at all. Staff is very attentive and helpful. There are outdoor seats with the transparent roof behind the restaurant, would be best for summer to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Personally love any pull pork sandwich very much. However, I am a bit disappointed with the pull pork here. Texture is nice but too salty overall. Also a bit over-priced. ( £10 for standard pull pork sandwich + sweet potato fires).

One of our favourite places for a coffee and a beer in Camden. We love the music and sitting outside watching the people go by. The staff are so friendly. The toilets are down a narrow stairs. Look out for the pig poster!

Stumbled accross Porky's this evening whilst looking for something to eat and so glad we did. Food was great, staff couldn't be more friendly and the post-lockdown draught beer hit the spot. Digital menus and social distancing in place so no need to worry if you're anxious about your first meal back out. Really hope to see this place busier following lockdown, they deserve it!

We went for a walk in Camden and found this restaurant after a client seated at the window gave us the ok sign and seemed really happy about the food. We weren't disappointed. The food was great (I tried a burger with mac'n'cheese - yeah they have that - which is a burger with pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and bacon), the music as well (really good music) and the staff was friendly. The only thing was the chips portion was too small so I had to order another one to share with my boyfriend.

When we came back to the table and the guys went to the toilet, the waitress came over and told us they hadn't paid enough. We paid what we said was owed and then after we left, we mentioned it to our partners who had actually paid the amount needed plus a 10% tip. The waitress being a sneak totally tainted the experience.

Food was really good! service was slow, although I believe that's mainly down to low staff levels. I think they tried their best for a busy Friday night. I was however annoyed you add a service charge to the bill as I think tipping should be up to the customer. we did question this but ended up paying to avoid an arguement. I think you should look into this as service charge isn't something I feel you should be pressured into giving it should be optional.

I cannot recommend Porky’s BBQ enough! As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a welcome smile from a friendly team. We were seated quickly, and our server was super helpful in recommending a few cocktails, some of the American beers, and a number of whiskeys (they have a really excellent selection of all of these drinks). I tried the homemade lemonade and the Hiver Honey beer. Both great. The food was delightful. I decided on one of Porky’s signature dishes, the Memphis Meaty Ribs, with a side of fries, which were delicious and tasted exactly like Memphis BBQ ribs should. My friends were equally happy with their burgers and pulled pork sandwiches. To top it off, I was given a free sundae on the house because we were there to celebrate my birthday! Thanks so much to the team at Porky's!

Food was mediocre, kitchen was slow. We waited for about half an hour for a table, and had our drinks and food order taken immediately. Server was very friendly, however. However, the nachos had "gaucomole" that was a horrible brown colour and bits were just chunks of rubbery unripe avocado. Not at all appetising to look at. The manager was apologetic and comped our drinks and replaced the nachos. Same thing, but the second plate was also burnt. Ok, whatever, on to main. This is the point where it was almost taking the piss. The table behind us changed groups twice (eaten, paid, left) during the period that we were waiting for mains. We had to get the manager to chase the kitchen and then we were missing things. We'd been there a while at that point so we just wolfed down our meals, paid minus the missing items and left. If it wasn't for how friendly staff were, it'd be a 1 star experience.

Considering I had been to Red Dog Saloon in Hoxton the week before, I didn't really have high hopes of Porky's exceeding my experience there. However, it did! First of all, the staff were great - really welcoming and friendly. I wa sthere with my daughter, so we were dining quite early and there were only a handful of people when we first turned up. However, the place was pleasingly busy (but not loud) by the time we left. The cocktails were AMAZING! They're worth going for alone! My daughter had the biggest ribs she had ever encountered in her life - complete with juicy tips. They were succulent and the sauce was great, although slightly too sweet for my liking. I went for the burger topped with pulled pork, bacon and cheese. The bacon couldn't have been crispier, the burger was a perfect medium rare, and the pulled pork was soft and juicy. Piggy heaven!

I have been recommending Porkys to many of my friends and they have love this place. The ribs are no average ribs, as they are so meaty. I suggest if you want to have a better chance of finishing the ribs then come with an empty stomach. Its definitely a man vs ribs! If you are not a ribs fan then the pulled pork served with a toasted bun is a good alternative. Both the ribs and the pulled pork is accompanied with house pickles, which helps open your appetite. But I actually think it will help to finish the meal. The pulled pork is not the best in London as some time I found it too dry for me. It has it's best and not so best at time. But if you are talking meaty ribs then Porky is the place. You can have the mains on their own. But it usually does not seem complete without sides. We shared a selection of sides and my favourite are the sweet potatoes fries. They are good alternative to the seasoned fries and some thing different. Another one of my favourite is their BBQ wings which is a warm up dish. I love the succulent chicken in the tasty BBQ sauce. I actually don't think a starter is needed before a main but if you do then share! Sharing food is the best way to dine!

Had a thank-you meal here with my son and my niece and her fiancé last Thursday. It was thoroughly enjoyable. We shared two starters: pulled pork croquettes and calamari - yummy. The two young men had the meaty ribs with bbq sauce, perfectly cooked, big, tender and juicy. I had the chilliburger and my niece the porky burger, both delicious. We shared the side dishes of creamed spinach, rice and beans, coleslaw and fried sweet potatoes. Yes, we had to ask for a second portion of fried sweet potatoes, but that was because we enjoyed them so much! The service was friendly and helpful. Would definitely consider going back.

Memphis called they asked to not be affiliated with porkys. The food was ok. It definitely wasn't Memphis bbq. It wasn't anything I'd call amazing. I'd called it ok chain bbq. I had the pulled pork mac n' cheese sandwich. It lacked in the Mac and cheese. Maybe a table spoon of Mac. The pulled pork was ok. I also had the burnt ends. They weren't burnt ends. They where chunks of meat in some sauce. Burnt ends actually have to be burnt. I gave three stars because the staff was pretty good and the food wasn't horrible. Just not Memphis bbq.

A low key rainy wednesday birthday meal. We are looking forward to soft fell of the bone meat and Hamburgers that make you wish you ordered two. It was not to be. SO Porkys is following in the steps of Bodeans (almost the same logo) and in the realms of North London eating establishments that try and have a limited menu but do it very well. So a limited menu but none of it done well. Pulled Pork - Tough, only the Sunday before i spent 10 hours cooking a Pork Pibil and was dissapointed it did not reach restuarant quality pulled pork. This didn't reach my home made quality pulled pork. Was a bit dry and needed a chew. Basically not good pulled pork. The Porkys Burger billed as a "pulled pork burger with crispy bacon" ok sounds good. It was a well done regular chunky mince burger with a slither of pulled pork on top and not crispy bacon. Just bacon. So next chips: £3 extra for a cup of chips is pretty standard these days (not in Bodeans) a little cup, was gone in 4 forks. We had to ask for more of which then they asked us about how many we got. I DUNNO, i don't care anymore can i go home ? Next up Creamed Spinach. More cream then spinach. Was almost a soup, i would argue it was a Spinached Cream. Also only one Lager on the menu, about 10 ales. 1 lager. ANYWAY. So a bit mediocre, basically if i was cooking this for a mate i would be apologising all the time.

Ive been meaning to sit in this nice little spot in the heart of camden for a long while but never got the chance. But today I did, the name Porkys makes you think its all pork and nothing else but I could not be more wrong. I had the pleasure of chatting to the manageress Alex who told me that they are in the process of adding to their menus, smoked chicken, Onion rings and Mac and cheese “yum” I honestly cant wait because after tasting the food today I am going to be a regular. Today I had ( Buffalo Wings with their famous hot sauce and served with celery and a blue cheese dip) I also had a Buffalo Chicken Burger Spicy buffalo sauce, jalapenos, and blue cheese. 2 free-range chicken thighs marinaded in butter milk and fried with spiced breadcrumbs, served in a bun with iceberg lettuce and homemade tomato relish. Buffolo Chicken Burger, wow delicious. I took the opportunity to try the (Kung Pao wings, covered in asian spicy BBQ sauce, coriander and crispy onions) I don't know why thought I could eat so much but I also had the fully loaded fries, be careful if you don’t like Pork because it come with it but Alex made sure she warned me so my serving was without the pork. The serving was amazing and I could not finish it alone. All of those flavours excited my tastebuds, it was truly delicious. The atmosphere in this branch is so very camden, beautifully laid out and spacious with plenty of space between tables. In the summer you can sit outside as the whole front opens out into the street, or for more privacy you can sit in the back in the well lit outside area. The bar has a great range and the staff make amazing cocktails. The staff are great and very attentive and friendly so you fell well looked after. All in all I really enjoyed the food and will be back with friends. How to get there, if you come out of Camden Town underground, turn right and walk towards the market, walk over the bridge and keep going and its opposite the entrance under the railway bridge.
