It’s near Trafalgar Square so quite busy place. But nice to have a cream tea after visiting museum.

Nice food, better than I thought ! Price around 50-70 per head for 2 course plus drink. Very good table service.
I like : the scallop starter ! Even the sauce is so tasty that we ordered more bread to clean the plate!
I don't like : the chips... Its just not tasty at all, I'm chips/ potato lover and it's very basic elements ! How can it be wrong !? so I decided only give them 4 stars.

Lovely place with an incredible view on the city.
The fixed menu is very decently priced compared to the a la carte. It was still around 50£/person without alcoholic drinks.
The tomato salad was delicious.
The trout very well cooked, I didn’t care much about the cucumbers but the sauce was delicious.
The Pavlova was to die for, highly recommend the desert.
I wish I could go back for afternoon tea it looked so good

The restaurant overlooks the rooftops of the gallery and we had a grand window view of Lord Nelson. The summer set menu was delightful. It’s a hidden gem but well worth booking ahead.

On top of Trafalgar Square above the National Portrait Gallery, great 'go to' place for afternoon tea. Good service, appropriate portions of good quality food well presented and of course, superlative rooftop views towards the Palace of Westminster and further afield.

The pre-theatre menu £23 for three courses, just excellent value for money as the food is really great. And consistently so, if you want a lovely place to go on a date, or somewhere with a little more ambiance when with friends, look no further.
The staff are always attentive but not intrusive
The dress code, because it is high up and you have rooftop views I like to dress more formally here, especially for the a la carte menu and afternoon tea, the pre-theatre and breakfast/brunch is far more relaxed. I hope you enjoy it.

An underrated gem of a restaurant that consistently serves good food and offers views of Trafalgar Square. I go to this restaurant on occasion when I want to unwind and enjoy a meal in an comfortable yet elegant setting.

Better than expected for a day at the gallery. However, if the view wasn't amazing, there wouldn't be anything particularly outstanding about this place. The kipper breakfast was lovely. But the view of Lord Nelson's column ..and elevated setting makes the place work.

Very pleasant place, with a beautiful view.
I recommend making a reservation if you want a table beside the window, otherwise it’s hard to find it even if you arrive early.
