Reviews of Prezzo Italian Restaurant London Northumberland Avenue

Amazing place very nice staff, Kasia
Our waiter was very quick and official know werry well menu and she care for us all the time. Thank you for good service and food.
K. M.
Very pleased with experience. Manager, I think her name is Valeria surprised me with her flawless personality and positive vibes and can do attitude. I also noticed team work in the restaurant. Another thing I would like to mention is level of hygiene. It’s always nice to sit behind clean table and to be treated well.
T. B.
Fantastic place, great location, impressive real tree placed inside. Valeria, the manager of Prezzo made us feel welcome from the first moment we walked in. The food was delicious, we have tried the festive meals. We were lucky enough to have Valeria serving us and felt special. Recommended!
R.
Food was good. Really enjoyed the desserts. Very adamant about having a booking even with the restaurant not being very busy. But I understand I suppose
M. M.
Great experience at this Prezzo for a pre-theatre lunch. Despite still being under Plan B COVID restrictions the restaurant was welcoming and the staff warm and friendly. The food was excellent, as was the service. Thank you for making our visit a very pleasant one. Would certainly recommend.
P. S.
Visited Prezzo for dinner before going to the Trafalgar Theatre around the corner.
All Covid-19 precautions in place, the staff were very polite, friendly and happy to serve.
We had burgers without buns (they'd run out 🤣) but it didn't really matter to me.
The food was still nice to eat though the portions were not overly generous it did the trick.
Two mains, two desserts, one 660ml bottle Peroni and one diet Coke was £47.50.
👍👍👍👍

A solid rating of 4, in the main due to the great service from our waitress. It's been a few years since we ate at Prezzo, preferring small local and family run establishments, but since we had a few Tesco vouchers to use up (yes there are a few places that still take them, on food only, not drinks) we thought we'd give Prezzo on Northumberland Avenue a try.
We arrived courtesy of Santander Cycles, our favoured mode of transport in London, with several docking stations conveniently situated nearby. Prezzo on Northumberland Avenue is a large spacious modern restaurant with the dining area on the ground floor and toilets in the basement. The restaurant is well laid out and the tables are spaced out for social distancing. And what we noticed was that after every table or dish served the mattress meticulously sanitised her hands ✋, which must have needed moisturising by the end of her shift, and her mask was worn properly, not hanging off the end of her chin as so many seem to do.
The Prezzo menu has also changed, with a good selection of gluten free and vegan dishes. Our daughter, who was with us, is gluten intolerant so the menu was great for her. The drinks arrived promptly followed by the garlic bread with mozzarella and garlic bread with caramelised onions, and then when we were ready our mains arrived. A gluten free spaghetti 🍝 for our daughter, a spaghetti carbonara for me and a freshly cooked piping hot lasagne for my wife. All too often lasagne dishes are microwaved, this certainly wasn't the case at Prezzo Northumberland Avenue.
We then finished with the sticky toffee pudding drizzled with fresh cream, shared of course, whilst our daughter had the gluten free cheesecake, which apparently was very good, drizzled with fresh blackberries.
So it was well worth another visit, so many changes since our last, with a new menu and service that was very good indeed 😀👍.

Not great too be honest. The waitress was wonderful Katherina. Just a shame my glass had thick lipstick on it and there was blue roll tissue in my food. Standards are not great.
R. V.
Had such a great experience here! Came for the frozen margaritas and ended up staying for a beautiful dinner. Service is great, super welcoming, and the food was incredible. Relatively expensive but absolutely worth it for what you get.
E. H.
The place is pricey but every dish is meticulously prepared. And the service is top notch. The Harissa Chicken bowl was to die for, so were the mezzes. Do try the Rosemary Lemonade here, never thought something as "normal" as lemonade could have such a fun twist.

Booked for a pre theatre dinner using a Meerkat Meals 2 for 1 offer. Nice atmosphere, laid back and friendly service, absolutely delicious crab & lobster ravioli. Considering this is a chain, food quality was excellent, especially the main course. Cheesecake and tiramisu a bit more run of the mill but still very good, just not exceptional unlike the main course which really was fab.And with the voucher it was seriously good value for money especially in central London.
H. L.
Pleasant atmosphere, not too busy when we visited, good service which was quick, shame the pizza base was soggy in the middle and the pasta only warm, both edible but have had better. Should have complained!
S. R. C.
Good olive and meatballs starters. Mains not up to Prezzos standard. Lobster and crab ravioli mainly tasted chilli peppers, chicken burned. Fries were good.
Staff were wearing masks.
N. A.
First time and not the last! Blown away by the friendly service (think our server was called laura) and nothing was too much trouble. Food was comforting and tasty and drinks menu caters for all occasions. Cant reccomend enough!
C. P.
Food was great. We had a set menu and we asked if we could change a couple of desserts which the lovely waitress went to check and agreed to do. Another waiter then turned up and again agreed to do it eventually but only if all of us gave excellent reviews. He manner was rude and abrupt and he was actually vile. His customer service was shocking trying to basically bribe us into good reviews.

23 June 2019 Prezzo was one of the best restaurant deals we found in London. The location was easy to find, the restaurant was very classy, the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was great! You can see our meals in the pictures as well as our final bill/reciept and a few shots of the restaurant itself and the menu pages. I recommend this place! The only reason for dropping one star is that their new appetizer/starter "pizza bites" are not as good as the could have been. The menu indicated they were stuffed with cheese and pizza sauce. But only barely. There is an opportunity to fill these bites up properly and make them live up to their name. They were "tasty" as bread bites... But hardly PIZZA bites as you would expect from the menu description. Other than that I recommend this restaurant!
N. B.
Friendly staff, tasty food, reasonable price and a great location. Even though there were 8 of us everything came quickly and at the same time.
C. P.
This was the very first restaurant we ate in while in London, we went in and got greeted with service extremely fast and although we didn’t have a reservation they still let us in. Awesome!
R. B.
Lovely pre theatre booking with the family. Had a lovely meal. Restaurant was very clean. Staff lovely and looked after us well. Only downside for this visit was that the fire alarm went off, thankfully towards the end of our stint. Apparently the building next door was the cause of the problem.
L.
Really great menu selection, and the portions were huge! The seafood special was good, albeit slightly overwhelming with how much salmon there was in addition to the crab and lobster ravioli. The pizza was huge and could definitely have fed 2 people. Only downside was the distance and condition of the bathroom.
R. Y.
Very accommodating for young children and families. Delicious food, friendly staff, great location and prices.
D. W.
Prezzos is one of the few places that can cater for my wife who has several food allergies. Rachel looked after us and our meal and drinks were excellent.
Y. P.
Loved the service and the food, unpretentious but of great quality. The wine selection is pretty decent. And the children’s menu is up to fairly high standards
C. K.
Gorgeous restaurant with modern decor. We arrived early for our booking, the waitress was not fazed at all and seated us. The table was clean and well laid out. Our food was delicious and served promptly. There was a great gluten free menu which is always appreciated. A very lovely restuarant with attentive staff!
S. B.
A very wet day and the restaurant was very busy. None the less, the lady who greeted us was very cheery and welcoming. We were seated as soon as a table became available and were served by a friendly and polite waiter.
Food was very good. Wine too!
Waiter was attentive and service was speedy.
Cannot fault.
S. P.
Speed of service for orders being taken and starters and mains being served was quick and the staff were great.
But. After that the pudding orders took along time to taken.
And the décor of the inside looked a little run down in places and one of the cubicles in the mens would not shut and the tapes seem to be hanging on.
J. P.
Great food, friendly staff and spacious. A bit on the noisy side due to the space! By the way they don't accept Eat Local Card to get 25% off according to our server despite the app saying they do.
K. W.
On a girlie weekend and booked this place months ago, what a little gem. Lovely ambience, great, helpful service and amazing food. Really worth it. Definitely recommend. Thanks
C. R.
Excellent cuisine. The menu is fantastic... there are far more options than in other restaurants. There were many locals waiting for pick-up, so this is definitely a place to visit!
h.
The pizza there is great and so is the ravioli (although you get a very small portion). The meatballs were good and the spaghetti was okay but overall great place with good food and very friendly staff.
T.
Had the 3 course meal special. Pizzas are a good size. Was very full by the finish.
B. d. B.
Good food, good service, perfect staff and the best of all bathroom is clean (thank you). Pasta was amazingly cooked and the dessert..... I have not words (you have to try the cheese cake)
S. L.
Thank goodness for Forces Discount!! It appears they want you in and out in half an hour. Our meal arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. The Spaghetti Carbonara was not even to the standard of an Asdas ready meal. The staff were polite and welcoming but the emphasis is on mass processing!!
S. G.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Was flavoursome and fresh. Staff were polite and very accommodating. Definitely going back 😋
M. W.
Nice and easy location, lovely wood pizza oven. Menu choices- so la la. Not much to choose from.
E. K.
Its an eatary not a restaurant... Stylish - yes, but too big to take a place in your heart. Service is weak - too little people and they don't manage to follow us all....we even waved and stand up to get attention of waiters. I'd do a better job if I serve myself....but food isn't bad. I'd even say good, considering it's not a real italian restaurant and a chain and also quite flexible if you want to change/add sometging in yiur dish. Wine selection has some room for improvement. Message to the owner: employ more people to serve such a big place!
J. M.
Absolutely incredible 100% recommend everything was amazing from the food to the service with a complimentary drink on arrival for our anniversary great experience
F. M. R.
Nice food, good prices and friendly people. The pastas are really good, the pizzas are just OK. Surprisingly not a turistic place. And the cocktails are amazing.
A. A.
Giant meatballs. 2 of them as a starter for £6.80. Tasty but not great value.
Lobster ravioli. Not bad but not good £14.90. Both were crazy hot in the centre suggesting they had been microwaved.
Very pleasant waitress.
C. H.
Great place for a delicious meal right off the square. Booking a table online is easy and the staff are helpful.
G. C.
Food ok not sure how authentic Italian can be. The pasta was a bit too salty, however my burger was spot on.
H. L.
Good food and speedy service despite being told there would be a 45 minute wait. Would recommend the sea bass. Thank you Prezzo guys.
D. G.
Visited here with a friend. Brilliant food and service. We were served by Refkie who was amazing and provided great service! Will definitely be returning.
P. S.
Food was very good. We will definitely go again very soon.
R. M. G.
Excellent waiter service. Good food.
R. G.
Very good pizza!!!
T. S.
Perfect location for Trafalgar Square, Somerset House, Covent Garden, Theatres and other locations near there, we chose this place as a near(ish) location to the theatres, it was still pretty close enough, Pride was on during our stay and the restaurant dealt well the the disruption it caused, right out side of the restaurant the council dumped a load of public portaloos which was a bit off putting. Food delivered pretty quickly but as I ordered risotto with prawns and salmon I was surprised, I had to have another portion made as the rice was terrible, still crunchy from being undercooked but it wouldn’t put me off from returning or make me give a bad review. Taste and quantity of ingredients like salmon and prawn were reasonable, staff were very good and would return.
S. R.
Had a lovely meal, all four of us enjoyed the food. Waiter's very friendly.
C. M.
Food was excellent and the staff were amazing, best Prezzo I have been to
C. W.
All good. You know what to expect so can't be disappointed.
C. G.
Lovely food very quick service and lovely staff restaurant itself very spacious good visit
A. I.
Great service. The pasta could do with much chicken. I ordered the Penne alla Rusticana. Nevertheless everything else was great.
N. S.
Warm welcome and fantastic service and food was excellent value for money, recommend this place to anyone.
L. C.
Very busy staff excellent. Delicious tasty food
J. R.
Tasty food, really great starters and friendly staff.
T. B.
Lovely pre show meal. Great food and service
D. R.
Most of our party of eight were very late due to M4 traffic from Windsor in rush hour, but the restaurant were very accommodating and let the two of us keep the table. When we had all arriveed the service was speedy and excellent and the food was great.
C. W.
Great place. Lovely food and friendly staff.

Valeria's service was outstanding! Thank you Prezzo team for an amazing experience👍👍👍
M. H.
Prezzo is always excellent value for money. Food is always fresh and tasty, the service is excellent. This location has a really nice open interior and well decorated.
R. N.
Very tasty burger, freshly cooked, friendly man serving.
O. A.
Very nice place, recommended.
Pasta, pizza and starters were all super.
Excellent service, kind and efficient.
Good atmosphere.
The menu is a bit lacking in vegetarian options and salads for us.
R.
Staff very friendly and attentive, we were not rushed nor were they slow in service, very appropriate gaps between starters, mains and dessert. The place is managed well, food is good too and portion sizes appropriate. Mocktails were great, thanks!
J. B.
Good but not very cozy place to stop by and have quick meal and drink.
I. W.
This is a typical branch of the Prezzo chain specialising in Italian style food. It is conveniently located close to Hyde Park and nicely decorated and laid out.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and professional and happy to help with choices. The menu is extensive with good options for all. Our meal was well prepared and presented and nicely cooked and tasty.
Facilities and toilets are modern, well maintained and spotlessly clean.
C.
The pasta carbonara was super good but the garlic bread however was pretty meh
A. j.
Nice place, delicious food and super friendly stuff!!
K. F.
Amazing portions with amazing service from the staff. Very friendly team.

G. Z.
Great food and really nice restaurant with friendly staff.
V. W.
Great food and service! Would highly recommend if you fancy an Italian. Our waiter was extremely attentive and I felt like a very valued customer. The interior of the restaurant is also extremely eye catching. Overall was very satisfied.
A. J. M.
Unless your journey into London has been planned, including where you are going to eat, then you will need somewhere to rest and eat after a while. This place is ideal for no fuss diners who want to be served as quickly as possible and be out just as quickly. It can be busy depending on the time of day and staff are reasonably fast at serving. The food is as expected for a fast food restaurant with a good variety of choices on the menu. Not a place to linger, so eat, drink, relieve and get back to your busy day. Enjoy.
W. L.
I was up in the Westminster area of London with my husband, for a meeting and we wanted to get a bite to eat before heading home. We know Prezzo's and we weren't disappointed with our first visit to this area's restaurant. Good service and good food. Went there around 5pm on a Monday and didn't need to book. Thank you.
Z. A.
Food is good, the service is a bit slow but it is understandable since it is so crowded
P. B.
Delicious pizza so many variations.
E. R. (.
Very cosy and friendly staff!
The service was very good, food came out on time and covid rules followed appropriately. Carbonara was really nice but far from the best I've ever had. Recommend!
R.
Standard Italian , fried squid was so so , mains nothing to praise or complain.
D. P.
I am a big fan of Prezzo in general. They offer great food (+ a decent range of gluten free) at a reasonable price. For central London this is ideal, however on my particular visit it was busy in comparison to Prezzo restaurants in my local areas so the service was slightly more rushed and the atmosphere less relaxed than I'm used to.
I. P.
One of the best sushi in London without breaking the bank
B. A.
Very friendly staff and great taste.
L. T.
Nice and accomodating staff.
Food was really nice, good choices of wine, prices reasonable.
Toilets feel like miles away to walk to though
H. P.
Had a great meal at Prezzo! It was one of these rare occasions where I just randomly try a restaurant I walk in front of. I looked ar the menu and saw some Carbonara pasta dish that got my attention.
But here's an interesting detail: before going in, looked up on Google Maps and ratings weren't great... so I crossed the street to look at another place, which was way more expensive and better rated. I figured this was silly, there was a dish I really wanted at Prezzo and the place was full, so how bad could it be? I'm glad I did as it was a very good Carbonara dish! The appetizer, the drink and the service were also great, so I'm glad I stuck to my first impression on that one!
A. O.
Popped in as a last minute thing.
Service wasn't with a smile from any of the staff. Presumably just a bad day, because the speed was also awful! The place was really very empty but you'd have thought the staff were overworked and super busy from how we were treated and the speed of service. Probably not always that bad, but I won't be back to chance it, there's other local prezzos where I've had better experiences (plus the others do accept the taste card) .
L.
We booked this as part of a Christmas present for our kids, so we went as a group of 10 using Redletter day and Buyagift vouchers. The set menu was fine, with sufficient choice, the location was great and the staff helpful but not trying to push us out. So we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and the company we were in. Would recommend.
T. B.
Staff is so excellent and the food is very delicious can’t recommend enough
k. s.
We booked a table for Saturday and downloaded the kids eat for £1 voucher offered for this restaurant at booking time, upon arriving the restaurant wasn't overly busy and the manager said they didn't accept any vouchers, due to their prime location, and it did state so in the terms and conditions (should have read it properly) (not sure why it let us download it but anyhow) we were offered a table booked by the manageress to the alternative Trafalgar square restaurant and given a name to speak to when we arrived, upon walking 4 kids across the square we were met with a queue and were told no booking was taking and they couldn't accommodate us. The manager also refused to get the person named for us to speak to stating it would upset her and she wouldn't be able to manage her tables.. I only wanted to talk to her not lynch her!! Annoyed and frustrated after an hour after our original booking with hungry kids, we went back to the first one at northumberland and were given a table straight away (they moved tables around in the restaurant to accommodate 8 people) and we were seen to and served quick efficiently and with a friendly waitress. The food was lovely, hot and served as quick as they possibly could, the service great and they even gave us a discount on our bill due to the trouble we had experienced. Thank you to all, a great team of people here. Highly recommend!
N. M.
Decent, popular Italian restaurant close to Trafalgar Square.
A.
The food is always amazing here. However the service? well that depends who works, waited 20 minutes for a waiter to coma and take our order as he was too busy talking to one of his colleagues in the bar. Although another visit was the opposite, this waiter was with us in no time, he was very friendly and helpful, I'd love to say who this is but i have no idea.
M. T.
This is one of the upmarket designed Prezzo and is quite spacious. I was greeted on arrival and treated like a VIP rather than just a customer. The food choice as presented on the menu is mouth-wateringly attractive.
Service was professional and the food excellent.
I was admirably served by Regi.
A. L.
Friendly, fast service. Reasonable prices and food was great.
p. h.
We were a large Christmas party and it overwhelmed them. Drinks orders were not taken at the same time as the other table. In fact we had to ask them to take our drinks orders. It did seem a bit chaotic at first but they eventually got into a rhythm.
C.
I ordered King Prawn and Carbonara.
Carbonara had no tastes at all.. This restaurant chains need to put more efforts on “flavor”. It tastes just meh. I was traveling London and this was disappointing. Restaurant is very clean and bathroom is also well organized. So 3 stars.
D. K. S. T.
It seems to have a really good and trained stuff the lady was really nice and considered all our order were earlier on the table than expected.
the food was really good !!
I will also say that i didn't have problems with it or the restaurant by itself
Loved it
A. C.
Not that great. The pepperoni were much more spicy than what is typical, with no warning given. A pasta with peas and pesto was overcooked and looked like something I could do at home. On the plus side, no +12.5% for small parties and reasonably quick service.
N. G.
fast service even thou the place was full.
the gravy of both of our pizza was not special wasn't tasty as much as we hoped.
around 12~ pound for a dish .
R. B. O.
We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The food was prepared very quickly and Bajram took amazing care of us. He explained everything well and made sure we had a good experience. Definitely will come back and thank you Bajram!!
N. N.
Prezzo Italian Restaurant is a bright spacious restaurant located in Trafalgar Square in London. The menu is extensive with pastas, pizza, salads and many other items. There are specials that include a glass of wine or soft drink. Worth a visit.
s. s.
Service was good and friendly and the location was great. The kids meals were good options, but the pizzas on the kids and the adults menu that we had were really plain and chewy. Just like most places, my pizza base is never cooked to crispy even when I ask for it...I didn't on this occasion, so it's my own fault. Kids desserts, usual ice cream, but with a rubbery effort of a banana and Nutella calzone. Incuttable by my child with a spoon, the only utensil provided.
Oh, and I asked for diet coke and was given a diet Pepsi. When I saw the bottle I pulled a face. The waitress knew the issue and happily swapped it for a 7up.
I ordered a side of pizza fries because I'm a cheese fiend. Wish I hadn't have bothered, they were wet. The cheese and pepperoni were good though.
I think the only real let down was the wet chips and undercooked dough. Other than that, I'd go again, just for a risotto or pasta dish next time.
S. “. H.
Service was very fast and the food was very nice! Went with the family and everyone enjoyed their meal! The waiter kept checking to see if we were happy and we certainly were!
A. C.
It was Amazing dinner out with lovely food made by Chef Hamza, very nice, positive and professional service from Seher. Thank you guys. Definitely I'll be back. Stay safe and Stay Positive !!!
J. S.
Clean, great food, excellent service. Odd to see a place quite so quiet on Friday evening but thats covid for ya!!
S. J.
Calzone was smaller than we had ever had in a Prezzo before, we ordered two and they were both different sizes 🤷♀️
Food was nice and served quickly, staff were polite.
E. H.
The calamari was amazing! Friendly staff
K. E.
Arrived for after theatre dinner and the staff could not have been more lovely. Great food and service reasonably priced. Only disappointment was that as an nhs worker Prezzo usually give a discount and it wasn't accepted at this store, not sure why...it's not a special Prezzo 😁
S. B.
Popped in yesterday for a quick drink. Came back today for more and our waitress Iza remembered our drinks preference from the day before. Very impressive considering how many people must come through the doors. She is a credit to the establishment.
J. R.
We made reservations to the restaurant across the street but even if we arrived 15mins before somehow they said they were closed so we crossed the street and found Prezzo where a tiny gentle girl welcomed us to enter even if the restaurant was almost closed.
We ate a cesar salad and a risotto, my wife told it was the best cesar salad she ate and my fughi risotto was just awesome, full of flavor.
The staff is really kind at all times and I hope to come back one more time before flying back home.
J. M. i. P.
Food is allright and service depending on who is your waiter. We got a woman who looked at us like look what the cat brought in when we asked this or that regarding the food. If you are around London with kids it is ok for a bite.
H. J.
Food was ok but service was slow. Restaurant was only half full so workload cannot excuse the slow service. Find this with other locations of Prezzo. The food is ok but there isn't much choice on the menu and am finding that it's becoming more of a pizza restaurant. Glad we had tesco vouchers to use as I wouldn't have been happy paying full price.
G. B.
Awesome Italian in the heart of London. We had a party of nine and we're sat quickly. Our party ordered a pizzas, pastas, breads, giant meatballs and everything was good.
N. T.
Good service and nice food.
P. L.
The drinks, food and service was good.
P. H.
A nice chain Italian. Tasty pasta dishes and deserts. Staff can be a little rushed at busy times but off peak they are quite quick at getting food out. There is another Prezzo just past Nelson's Column if this one is full.
S. S.
A good italian restaurant. I had the pork and beef ragu, which was very tasty. The bread and olive oil appetizer was delicious. Service was a little slow and clumsy, but we did have a very large party.
P. B.
Not bad for a take on italian, but not really good enough if you are after proper authentic italian food. servicre here is always good and the waiters are always friendly and willing to help. the menu changes on a regular occasion and means you never get stuck with the same thing each time
J. J.
It was alright. The raspberry sorbet was very good, but the main (lobster ravioli) was unspectacular and insufficient. Such is the way of so many chain restaurants.
J. R.
Slightly hidden from view as you come round onto Northumberland Avenue. It’s a Prezzo with Gluten Free menu options. Clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced.
K. G.
Excellent place to eat. Food was delicious and staff efficient and very friendly!
N. F.
Very tasty food!
B. P.
Their veg pasta is delicious!!
O. B.
Lovely friendly staff who found us a table at very short notice. Great customer service, especially the greek guy who made the effort to speak hebrew. Food was really nice. Well done presso.

The quality of food and service was as good as you would expect from most independent restaurants. I can't give it higher praise than that.

IThe ambiance and the vibe of the place is just right! Although it's a chain restaurant, The decor of this branch makes it a great place for going out on mid level budget
Y. T.
The food and the atmosphere were great but the staff should pay more attention the their customers. It's a good place but I don't think it gets the attention it deserves.
C. R.

Prezzo ("price" in Italian) is a chain of Italian restaurants in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The first restaurant opened on New Oxford Street, London in November 2000. There are now more than 200 branches across the country. It is part of Prezzo Holdings, which also operates the Chimichanga, Caffe Uno, MEXIco and Cleaver restaurant brands.
The first Prezzo restaurant was opened in central London by Jonathan Kaye, the company's chief executive, in 2000.[3] There are now[when?] more than 280 branches in the UK which includes 23 restaurants opened under both the Prezzo and Chimichanga brands in 2015. Prezzo opened its first restaurant in Ireland in February 2016. Prezzo commonly converts old buildings of architectural value from their old purposes into Prezzo restaurants,
xamples include an old cinema in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
The first owner of the Prezzo business, Jonathan Kaye, is the son of Reginald Kaye and nephew of Philip Kaye, both of whom have a background in the restaurant trade with the Golden Egg café chain in the 1960s and Italian restaurants Garfunkel's and Deep Pan Pizza, both now sold to Restaurant Group.[6] In 2008 Jonathan hired cousins Adam Kaye and Samuel Kaye (sons of Philip Kaye) to join Prezzo plc's board of directors.[7] Adam and Samuel founded Ask (restaurant) and Zizzi.
Prezzo donates a share of the profits raised from sales of selected dishes to the children's charity Fight for Life.
In 2011 the award-winning celebrity chef Aldo Zilli designed four pizzas which were added to the Prezzo menu under the name "V.I.Pizzas".
Private equity firm TPG took over the Prezzo business in 2015 when Jonathan Kaye moved to a non-executive role. In June 2015 Dirk Eller was appointed interim chief executive. Jon Hendry-Pickup will be joining Prezzo as chief executive in July 2016.
