Reviews of Quinns
J. W.
Quinns is a great pub. It has wonderful character, plays great music and is a must when I'm in the area.
R. S.
Nice decor, very good selection of bottled beers, decent selection of draught beer. Pleasant enough beer garden out the back.
I tend to be a fan of a rather run down pub, and this definitely meets that criteria. Looking at other comments on here, it looks like you should be weary in the publican...
J. B.
One of a few pubs with history and character left in Camden. Hidden away a little bit even though really central it's well worth seeking out. You'll get a seat usually and drinks are reasonably priced. You'll also be made to feel welcome. Don't let venues like this be the next one to be redeveloped into luxury apartments. Go and give them some trade and have a nice time in the process.
L. G.
Strongest Guinness pour in London. Captained by bar staff that know their onions and will make you feel like part of the family.
Guinness is a notch better than the famous Cow pub in Notting Hill, especially if Bartender Joel is serving it.
Always a destination in Camden, historical exterior.
R. A.
A lovely cosy pub that almost has a small town feel with a great mix of regulars and young people warming down from a night out.
M. N.
Fabulous Irish pub with friendly staff and calm atmosphere. Perfect for an evening pint!
M. S.
Proper pub. Good selection of Belgian bottles and a relaxed atmosphere in a spacious layout. Open late and has screens to watch sport. Only minor gripe is that they don't have a decent craft beer on tap, just macro brands. Not many of these places left in London, worth supporting before it's gone.
M. D.
Very welcoming and fun staff. Belgium beers as well great place
H. W.
Is this the longest bar in London? Having looked at the other contenders I really think it is. Friendly Irish pub with Dominic and Rachel making you feel welcome up until 2am in the morning! Great selection of German and Belgian beers as well as a selection of lagers.
S. H.
Great atmosphere, good value for money, served by Rachel and Joel, very helpful bar staff!
L. H.
One of the last remaining authentic local boozers away from the main tourist streams, full of regulars, a fantastic bar team and landlord and a great ever changing selection of very niche German and Belgian bottled beers
K. “. J.
Nice old style pub small seating area in front but large indoor space.
J.
Awesome, quiet pub in Camden. Decent prices for London, nice friendly staff, and most importantly you get a clover in your pint of Guinness, tell me where else you can get that (see picture). Scampi fries are a must (sounds weird but secretly awesome), also they serve Leffe (blonde) on draft - what more could you want?
T. G.
Don’t judge a book by its cover! Inside are the friendliest bar staff that were constantly looking after us . Great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Pleased we found this pub
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
N. W.
Pleasant and atmospheric establishment. located not far from home and it is very pleasing
D. C. P.
Best bar in Camden if not all of London. Brillaint landlords and staff, spacious comfy interior, and the best Guinness this side of the Irish sea. What more can one ask for?
L. D.
What a lovely find! Really liked the pub interior with wooden panels with glass. The pub had tables spaced out and was dog friendly! There was an excellent selection of beers and the landlord even gave some personal recommendations and was happy to advise on drink choices. We had to take stairs down to the toilets, however as it was late I was unable to check if there was an accessible toilet. In terms of covid security, the track and trace system was well set up and there were clear directions inside to follow and we received help from staff to find a table. We went for a couple of post-dinner drinks on a Friday evening and were happy to find this place. Will definitely look to return.
A. T. W.
Best OG, old school pub with great music and fantastic Guinness!
R. C. D.
Amazing bar with friendly staff and kind patrons.
S. C.
Unpretentious chill pub with a great selection of European beers.
P.
Good place, staff are friendly and welcoming. Always a good service
k. s.
I like this restaurant! They provide superb meals, their menu is decent, The chef in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I love very much eating all their dishes. The dishes are always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the customers is efficient. I often go to this place and I was never unsatisfied. I highly recommend it.
D. W.
Refurbished very smart and poular pub. Huge seating area outside. Good choice of drinks and reasonably priced. Very good atmoshphere
A. G.
Love this pub, big and spacious, often room to sit. Decent selection of Belgian beer and a friendly landlord. Have knocked a point off as the ale rarely rotates and is stale too often, although landlord is always happy to replace with no quibbles.
r. M.
Fantastic, warm, friendly welcoming pub just a few minutes walk from busy bustling Camden & Camden Town tube station. Brilliant service and hospitality from Dominic, Rachel and the team. Entertaining comedy night of established and up and coming comedians every second Thursday. Highly recommended.
L.
A gem of a pub ideally located between Camden and Kentish Town. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Pop your head inside and you will see a pub unlike any in the area. They just don't build pubs like this anymore. The craftsmanship is stunning, a real treat to be enjoyed. The beer and staff ain't half bad either! I can't remember the last time I saw Budwar on draft outside of Prague which was an unexpected surprise. Dominic is the type of landlord all pubs should have - welcoming, witty and entertaining. We went in to Quinn's by chance, next time will be by design. A real belter of a boozer.
N. W.
Had a great welcome back after over a year. Love you all. Best Guinness on the Camden/Kentish town border.
L. P.
Very good music, beer and fire place, in a calm enough place to be able to have a conversation
L. D.
Our local pub looking a bit old on the outside but hiding its treasures inside! Friendly staff and friendly local people regularly filling the tables
J. S.
Good selection of German and Belgium beer. Outside of the place looks shabby but when you walk in its very nice and reminds me of an typical Irish pub. Prices of beer are decent for the the price in Camden. Music is good in the pub. Staff are friendly-ish. Some staff seem a bit arrogant and irratible the day I went but maybe it was an off day for them.
J. K.
A bit dated but a great atmosphere loved the pretty fairy lights across the ceiling and windows
J. P.
Lovely place and a great selection of beers you wont find anywhere else in London. This place is good for big groups as it is a huge area. Kevin the owner is also very friendly and you will find his cat and dog walking around the pub on most nights.
F. N.
Proper old school local boozer. Don’t come here if you are looking for a shiny, clinical fake pub environment. Friendly staff and a great selection of beers, all fairly reasonably priced. We got 2 kriek boon and a double g and t for under 12 quid.
B. C.
Perfect pub, great staff and friendly atmosphere. Not too loud, but not too quiet. Great selection of beers.
A. H.
One of the best pubs in London, authentic and local! The quiz on tuesdays with Jonah is a staple of my week and the best I’ve eve been to.
D. J. B.
Love Quinns lovely pub nice people. 🤗🍾🥂
B. H.
Lovely people. Felt like home and they remembered my name as I left. One step of the tourist trail. Go!!!!
A. S.
Absolutely adore this pub. Rough around the edges, well run with friendly staff & a large variety of beer at a good price. Nice back garden, food & sports available (though didn’t partake myself) & a local pub atmosphere without being cliquey.
F. D.
Since the introduction of Pierre to the kitchen, the food on offer at this establishment is some of the best on offer in the whole of London. A fine wine list and a good selection of rare bottled beers makes this one of London's best all-round establishments.
Don't just take my word for it:
“A classic restaurant, driven by passion, knowledge and fierce attention to detail. If you haven’t been to Quinn’s yet, then I highly recommend you go.”
A.A. Gill - The Sunday Times
S. T.
Quinn’s is always a great place to go- it’s usually pretty chilled, with a good quiz on Tuesday evenings! If you’re nice to Rachel, she’ll give you some really disgusting bottled shots...
I. K.
Not many places in London that you can get German smoked beer. Basically it's an old school Irish boozer with plenty of room that's reinvented itself. A Great place for a drink.
J. M.
Lovely pub
J.
Great place for a few jars , recommended .
S. C.
This is really what a pub should be all about. It has good beer, coupled with an interesting belgian and other foreign selections. And it's always open. Such a refreshing to change that when one really needs just another pint or two, there's actually somewhere decent to get it. Despite the name, it's not really got any plastic Irish pub pretentions, usually has interesting people to talk at, and there's really not much to find fault with, except it's difficult to escape sober.
F. H.
Wonderful, traditional bar with a friendly bartender and great service. (and a dog!) Been going here for a long time and never once had a bad night. Summers are especially nice on the outdoor patio.
A. G.
Great staff, great selection of beers and spirits. Needs updating tho, outside could do with a paint job but all round nice pub 🍻
m. o.
Looking for a friendly, old school pub with real Irish touch and staff? The Quinns is the place! No fancy decor, hipsters or overpriced craft lager. Good selection of whiskey, in house dog and dry sense of humour in english and french
P. B.
I had an extraordinary experience in this spot. We liked the excellent atmosphere and the meals. The waiters were super attentive. I’m glad we finally managed to try this place.
D. M.
What do you expect? Having not spent much time in Ireland, this is what I imagine it to be. Paddys Night was a succession of Guinness and baileys while trying to play the instruments strung to the roof until my girlfriend fell over in front of everyone and was so embarrassed we had to go home. Aaah Quinns. You beauty.
R. C. H.
Don't be fooled by the atrociously shabby exterior. This is an adorable little gem. Filled with mahogany and stained glass, with a theatrical theme! And a theatrical land lady! Interesting regulars and usually very pleasant.
P. A.
Love the atmosphere here. Great Sunday sessions.
M.
Friendly Irish pub for locals, went with a big group and we had no issues, though service was slow (but pints were reasonably cheap for these ends)
a.
best beer and great atmosphere
M. T.
We enjoyed a good pint of Greene King IPA late at night here. Spacious and traditional surroundings!!
D. G.
Great bar. Friendly service and a huge choice of mainly bottled beers. Slightly arty/alternative/bohemian vibe, but still good fun.
B. V. M.
Genuine pub open until 2am on sat with space to sit down and many locals. Won't make a trip there but, if u are around the area and you want to find a place where you can talk and sit down, this is the place.
S. R.
This place is a hidden gem in Camden/Kentish Town. Back in the days before late licenses, this was one of the only places open until 1pm minimum every night. Old Man Quinn and his wife and sons have been here forever, serving up an astounding range of German and Belgian beers, as well as the usual Irish pub staples. Don't expect gastropub farye or anything like this - it's an old skool boozer and it is a great gezzas pub to meet with friends (big, never too busy) and get your drink on, especially in the winter months.
S. P.
Great spot for a bit of drinking day or night, freindly staff and great atmosphere, the decor is brill as well
N. N.
Some people call this place "institution" meaning an old traditional pub. Although in the heart of a trendy place this pub still preserve the English pub feel (& smell). Tourists, include this in your Camden pub crawl
P. M.
Scruffy Irish bar that exudes warmth and charm. Landlord Dominic and Rachel do a good job of maintaining the very special atmosphere in this Camden pub.
B.
Good value, great atmosphere, what more could you ask for?!
V. R.
Excellent food, very welcoming staff, constantly great atmosphere. They charge reasonable prices and the food quality is very good. Fantastic work.
B. L.
Nice bar with friendly setvice - sad to see not very busy as a good old fashioned pub - great back in the day ......
L. B. (.
Come for the the cheap Guinness and Scampi Fries. Stay for the warm fire, greco-roman architecture and long nights staring deep into the eyes (and soul) of the pub cat.
C. B.
The staff is very nice and helpful. Looks kind of run down, needs a bit of a clean, fresh new coat of paint and a little refurbishment.
A. L.
Great gaff. Good atmosphere. Reasonable prices.
m. f.
Most reasonably priced pint in Camden. Warm, friendly, great landlord.
E. B.
I used to come here every Saturday for two years, nice place with friendly mix of regulars and newcomers, the size means you can almost always find a table.
g. o.
A very sympatic pub. Perfect for look rugby matches. The boss it's top. 👍👍
F.
Despite the outward appearance, this place is open.
S.
Lovely shabby pub, really nice people. Would be happy going in on my own, and wouldn't say that about too many places...
A. N.
Undoubtedly the best pub in Camden, if you're looking to have a beer in peace. Great vibe and helpful staff
J. M.
A small selection of nice Belgian beers, otherwise a fairly quiet pub, good for large groups of people
S. H.
Terrific pub- very Irish, bar staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Huge choice of beers, ales and anything else you might want!
p. m.
Every time I'm in Kentish town London I go to this pub, grand Irish pub, food served, owners are great people
E. A.
Toilets are a bit naff but the pub itself is nice and there was good music
A. P.
Finally, Belgian beer at a reasonable price and a pub where you can actually hear your fellow man when they speak.
G. M.
Great pub. Good beers. Friendly staff and Landlord. Funds Quiz
W. G.
Good pub friendly bar staff but the seating needs to be re-upholstered.
S. v. A.
cool atmosphere, drink top, eat quite ok - like everything in london unreasonably expensive
R. B.
Nice environment, friendly staff and acceptable prices. But those toilets need a major update!
P. K.

A great chill place for a drink and a chat! Staff's great and friendly, other customers seem quite friendly, too. It IS an irish pub with exception that they do no longer do meals. Pub snacks like crisps and nuts are best you'll get. Adore the place, to be honest. Sort of "mom and pop" pub with a decent sized beer garden AND front tables, too.
And prices on drinks are cheapest or top 3 cheapest in camden.
K. W.
(Translated) wonderful place! very nice service, the female part of the bar very nice. I recommend it to everyone who wants to drink good and affordable beer. nice place with a nice atmosphere :)

(Translated) Typical London pub. Owners very attentive and friendly. Some nights you can play the Quizz, you can get to win £ 50 in alcohol. I liked it a lot, it's not big but it's not too small either, it has corners to be able to talk quietly. They let the dogs in so it's no wonder to see them.
