Reviews of Rabot London

Perfect place to start the day! Lovely breakfast with spectacular coffee. Our server was very accommodating and service overall was great. Highly suggest before browsing through Borough Market.
P. M.
Afternoon tea was incredible. Possibly the best we've ever had. So yummy!! Only knocked a star off because service after we got our food was very slow (gave up waiting to make a drinks order), but they did knock the drinks we had had off our bill to compensate.
M. J.
All the meals have a chocolate/cocoa ingredient. The mash potato is nice, but it didn’t taste too chocolaty. It’s a nice venue with good views over Borough Market.

We went to Rabot for a work event on their heated terrace. The service was very good and the dishes and wine selection were very refined. However, the terrasse was quite noisy at times

I initially booked this place when I thought they serve beef Wellington but the menu was showing beef Wellington as vegetarian dish. Nevertheless, the restaurant is filled with chocolate loving dishes! If you love chocolate then this probably a heaven place for you. My wife ordered scallop with white chocolate purée and I think that’s just divine and delicious. I ordered slow cooked roasted beef. Though I am not a fan of the braised meat kind of guy, didn’t enjoy it very much but I thought the white chocolate mashed potato was something special to go with it. They have lovely hot chocolate drinks here so be sure to try them! I came here for my anniversary and had a special writing over my dessert - I enjoyed the molten chocolate lava which I thought it’s something to die for!! So yummy! 😋 I had Marin who served me that day and really enjoyed his company through my meal. All the best and hopefully the restaurant will pick up more customers in near future post this pandemic.

me and my friend went today for lunch for the Christmas menu
£35 for 3 courses including 2 sides and 2 prosecco
well what can I say a truly amazing culinary experience 😍
everything tasted Devine and looked like a picture
the service was great too
this place should surely be a Michelin star
please give it a try
you wont be disappointed

One of the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had. Love the hot chocolate too. Nice roast too!

This was my third visit at Rabot and I can honestly say that it was great once again.
Loved the food and drinks and the service has been great. Marco was our waiter and he even remembered us from last time we were there as there was a misunderstanding with our booking. Back then he solved it all for us and he ensured this time we had a great experience. He suggested a wine for my fiancé to go with his main meal and he helped me to choose a cocktail.
Can’t wait to get back there and have another great meal.

Very friendly staff went here for drinks. Service was good, the waiter asked occasionally without being pushy. We are upstairs outside which can get a bit cold if your not under the heaters. However, great place to hangout and chat without blaring music to drown out conversation. Food was good and so where the drinks.

Brilliant afternoon tea for our anniversary. We booked with a BuyAGift voucher which was no problem at all. We were given a free glass of prosecco, afternoon tea and hot drink (we went for hot chocolate, how can you not!)
The food itself was lovely and really filled us up - struggled to finish. The only downside was we went on what felt like the hottest day of the year and sat on the terrace which is covered but open to the sun, so it got quite hot and by the end some of the chocolate items were melting! Could probably do with a few more umbrellas on the tables so they're all shaded in hot weather.
M. E.
Nice place to visit. Food was excellent especially the Desserts. Seating area is lovely especially outside on the 2nd floor. Love the drinks selection also. Most likely gonna take a trip down there again

Nice place and nice idea of having chocolate based food but didn't find it very tasty (not because of the chocolate). My beef was very dry and all the dishes were completely unsalted (I don't eat salty but here it was another level). There are no alcohol free cocktails and one of the desserts (trio mousse) ha a lower part so hard to break that it was flying everywhere. Also plate decorations were not my favourite but this is an extra. Food quality is very high, taste in my opinion much less.
C. V.
Enjoyable meal overall, the food was delicious and the service good until dessert. One of our party with a nut & seed allergy (discussed with staff before each course) ordered and was served a Black Forest gateau. The ingredients were double checked and after a lengthy wait, found to contain nuts which would have meant a life threatening situation for our guest.

We went here for Sunday lunch and it was amazing. This is a place of high quality and the chocolate infusions are very complementary. Excellent service and lovely ambiance. Would recommend.
J. a. R.
Really friendly staff who let me use the toilet earlier in the day. We then returned for a coffee but was taken a back by their extensive Hotel Chocolat menu. We had the millionaire shortbread and raspberry Bakewell alongside their chocolate milkshakes which were delicious. My partner said he'd wish he'd had a bigger one. The quality of the cream (mousse) and chocolate was lovely and not overpriced for the Hotel Chocolat brand.
M. K.
Loved this place. The food was amazing. Who knew that Chocolate and Chips would be my new favorite food.
The staff friendly and helpful. Sat on the Terrace which was comfortable. Definitely a place I will go to again.
S. A.
Warm, safe and certainly delicious, so good to be back at this delightful venue.
Staff pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive.
Try the porter. Try the sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel vodka. Try everything!
S. H.
Overall very good imaginative food, and ambience. Only criticism is my main of scallops needed an extra element to mop up all the wonderful sauce (celeriac or samphire for example). I ended up doing this with some mash from my friend's dish. Would go again though as want to try other dishes.
J. G.
Excellent food and service we made a mistake with our booking but the waiter accommodate us and let us have the set menu wich was amazing every dish was mouth watering and Bogdan the waiter went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.
Thankyou to the chef and the service from Bogdan amazing the service was more than five star
J. N.
This is my favourite restaurant! Every dish is made from chocolate. You will not be disappointed!
D. C.
Open during lockdown but only for takeaway. Be prepared for a queue outside. Delicious hot chocolate but the cup is only half filled. The other half is whipped cream and decorations. Great quality chocolate though. Regular size is already pretty filling. No need for the bigger size in my opinion.
E. G.
Many thanks Fabio for looking after us and your great recommendations on food and drinks!
The whole experience from start to and end was amazing!
Food presentation and quality is exceptional and for the price is great value for money.
We had dinner at terrace outside with a nice breeze and view over market.
Cocktails and rum presentation is something VERY special.
Definitely coming back again and letting other people know!
Best

Excellent service with good range of cacao infused cocktails…! Interesting twist on classic drinks , with a nice selection of wines.

Excellent time here. The food is absolutely wonderful. All of the menu has a coco theme from the St Lucia themed hotel chocolate. The quality of the food is very good. Service is excellent and friendly servers. Will definitely will return.
A. C. C.
Love the hot chocolate here. They make it with different types of chocolate, and I really enjoy the ones with the most cocoa. :)
Just managed to go back, this time for a full dinner, and it was delicious. Most dishes contained cocoa in some form or other, and they tasted great. Desserts were particularly delicious. Staff was very nice.

Our trip to Rabot 1745 was one of the most rewarding and well-worth experiences out I've had in a long time. I went for their breakfast menu at 11:30 on Saturday 24th October 2020.
The staff are very friendly, and attentive, but not in a nuisance sort of way.
The food was outstanding, there was a lot of attention to detail in its presentation, and the food tasted delicious.
The drinks fit the same description as the above, they looked beautiful and were very tasty! We ordered the Bloody Mary which I would definitely order again, and also some coffee which was also really great.
The ambience was also wonderful as it was outside and on a terrace that look onto Borough Market, it was peaceful and relaxing, but also had a buzzing atmosphere about it because of the market. The terrace was lovely and we weren't cold at all as there were also heaters.
The comms before my visit were also great via direct messaging Instagram as well.
I couldn't recommend Rabot 1745 anymore, please go!
S. T.
A lovely experience for me. The food was delicious and had a good amount to choose from. Highly recommend the tomato salad as a side dish.
The pork was well cooked and really tasty and the BAFTA mousse was absolutely divine.
Great service from the team, very engaging, know the menu and very attentive.
L.
Service was great, the food was lovely and presented really well. Seated on the outdoor terrace with views over Borough Market below
S. S.
Cool place with friendly staff for coffee. Went in 2019.
I have had coffee downstairs (2020) before but this was my first time in the restaurant. Service was friendly and the food was well presented and good. They have a good rum collection and lots of rum cocktails. This is a place that has attention to detail and does lots of things well. They have a 2-hour time limit on tables but they allowed us to stay for longer. I would recommend.
J. W.
If you're looking for good hot chocolate around the Tower Bridge area, this is the place for you! And remember to ask to add the cocoa whipped cream on top of your hot chocolate - it doesn't really taste like whipped cream, but more like a light chocolate mousse! Very delicious!
A. S.
Good food and drinks, but inconsistent service, esp. for Café takeaways.
When it gets really busy, the Baristas tend to lose track of orders and they don't always confirm who gets what, and as a result there's a good chance wrong orders get handed out and taken (which further complicates things).
Also, the quality of some of the beverages we've ordered vary from time to time, which is odd, since we order the same things most of the time.
Overall still worth visiting for the tasty drinks and food, but the occasional inconsistencies during busy stretches can be disappointing — hopefully that bit gets better over time.
D. L.
I was given a voucher for a dinner for 2 experience here so we were restricted to the set menu choices but even so, everything we had was really well presented and tasted great. The service and ambience was also top notch(even if our waiter looked like he was run off his feet).
I really enjoyed our evening and unlike some other places, didn't keep you waiting once you were 'done with' and ready to go.
S. G.
We didn’t really pick up on the flavours of the cacao nibs that ran though our dishes, which are the trade mark for the restaurant with their Hotel Chocolat tie in but that didn’t detract from the fabulous food.
Service was prompt and good.
The outside balcony offered a great vantage point for watching the hustle and bustle of Borough Market.
Would highly recommend.
K. T.
I had the fluffliest muffin Inhavr ever eaten in my life!! The white chocolate mash potato is divine! The hot chocolate is unmatched! Make sure you eat first and then visit the chocolate shop downstairs as your food receipt gives you 20% off at the shop!
H. K.
Had no idea Hotel Chocolat had a restaurant and that it was in the heart of Borough Market! Visited recently and this place is a gem - unusual menu, given the fact that there is a little bit of chocolate/ cacao in all of the dishes or dips, but it really works. We went as a party of 5 for dinner, and between us we ordered the scallops, beet wellington, beef, mac n cheese, and the burger, plus some sides to share (chips and mash). Everything was cooked beautifully and tasted amazing, although the beet Wellington was basically an entire beetroot wrapped in pastry, as opposed to being mixed with anything else before it was encased in the pastry. We also ordered desserts, which were all outstanding - we had the sticky toffee pudding, the chocolate fudge cake and the pear tart. Nothing to fault there. The drinks were great too. No mocktails on the menu, but they offered to turn one into a non-alcoholic one for one of us, so that was great too. A bit noisy because it overlooks Borough Market and you have the trains going past, but it wasn't an issue, and the view from our table on the terrace was nice. Overall, we loved it and will defo be coming back at some point.
l. k.
I cannot reccomend this place enough. The Sunday roast is amazing. Being a veggie I went for the beet Wellington and it did not disapoint. Everything was perfect, amazing veg gravy, vegetables cooked perfectly and mashed and roast potatoes that were delicious. The desert was also a delight. Really great service too and great value for money.
S. S.
Had the trio mousse selection which was nice, but I recommend the dark chocolate mousse than the supermilk. The supermilk was a more bitter for some reason and it was my mistake asking for 2 of those, preempting I would only like the milk chocolate mousse. Attention to detail is amazing, from the napkins to the interior
M. M.
Hot chocolate wasn't too good. Ambiance was nice. Might go again for food
R. G.
A delightful meal and superbly cooked highly recommended
N. K.
Strongly recommended! It has an interesting menu. All of its dishes contain cacao. Definitely worth a try.
There is an amazing terrace that is overlooking the borough market and is comfortable even during winter.
H. H.
Many people know about the cafe downstairs, but not so many know about the excellent restaurant hidden up the back stairs, with both an indoor section and an outdoor terrace above borough market (highly recommended for a Saturday lunchtime to literally rise above the bustle). Everything is influenced by cacao in some format and both the cocktails and food are incredible. Pricing is also very reasonable for a restaurant of this quality!
L. H.
Part of the Hotel Chocolate group. Great little cafe in heart of Borough Market (stone throw from London Bridge). Great atmosphere, friendly staff, cool chill music playing in background.
Fresh chocolate made on-site ...cocoa beans grinding on counter! Wonderful warm decor and tables.
Well made, beautifully presented coffee 😊❤️.
A little pricey £2.85 for small coffee, but guess you're paying for location and ambience. Warm and cosy (November)..also noticed AirCon units, a real bonus in heat of summer I'm sure! Would come again. Recommended 👍
P. I.
Wonderful food and intriguing use of chocolate in the dishes. Nice balance between fancy and fun (my sons of 13 and 16 loved it too). Highly recommended.
M. S.
We had sparking afternoon tea for two. The Prosecco was really nice and dry. The selection of cakes and sandwiches was nice and more than enough for two people. The sandwiches were tasty and light and I liked the fact that there was a few different ones. The scones were ok - the cinnamon one did not really taste of anything. The cheesecake was my favourite bit - it was very light texture and different from anything I have tried before. The coffee and tea are also very nice quality.
S. F.
Good food with a hotel chocolat twist (e.g. the white chocolate hollandaise and cacao nibs). Reasonably priced and food tastes great. Would say the portions are a little on the small side but that's often expected with quality!
M. T.
This place is brilliant for all food lovers, especially chocolate! My girlfriend took me here for the afternoon tea...it was unlike any other afternoon tea I have had before! Before they bring it out to you, they serve tea or coffee...as you do and then they being out some cocoa beans for you to try, very sour indeed but still something you would not normally experience. The food was so full of flavour and different textures and freshly made too! The little cakes I have to say were amazing. The staff are very helpful and happy and are always willing to help where they can. I would highly recommend this place and would love to go back too!
G. S.
Oh my god. Chocolate mashed potatoes. The meat just melted and everything we had was 20 out of 10. Will definitely go back and try the rest of the menu!
M. o. M. (. F. R.
Stopped here for a 70% dark chocolate chilled creamy drink. My oh my this was so nice! What a great treat!! The only disappointment I have is that I didn't realise when inside Rabot 1945 that they offered anything more than snacks and drinks (like a posh Starbucks). Now I review their website I read about so many delicious chocolate themed dishes and alcoholic drinks. Neither the staff or place seemed to promote that well enough! I missed out and will be back to explore but I do think your staff are underselling your whole unqiue and special experience!
K.
Went for dinner and food and service were both absolutely amazing. Yes it is a little pricey but worth the money - all of the food, mains, sides, desserts were perfect, interesting flavours with a great balance. Also great vegan options! 🌱 Really pleasantly surprised. Waiter was also great - super attentive and polite.
C. S.
Had a delicious afternoon tea, sat out on the terrace watching the bustle of borough market. Everything was very covid safe and staff were lovely. Really appreciated the delicious sandwiches which were such a change from the normal teas elsewhere. Will be back for more!
N. H.
This place looks like any other modern coffee shop in London.
If you look carefully, you will find a restaurant upstairs - and it is amazing.
I was told by a friend the restaurant is owned by Hotel Chocolat. I don't know if that is true, I wouldn't be surprised.
They put chocolate into everything, literally, everything.
White chocolate mash potato, was not overwhelming, sickly or rich, it was smooth, potatoy, fluffy and creamy.
Some of the starters are tiny but tasty. If you are hungry, for example don't bother with the scallops or pulled pork - regardless of how tasty everything, because it bloody well is!
I have the leek and feta pies, colleagues had the lamb and beef and everyone was silent, licking every crumb. Food is brilliant.
I would definitely be visiting this place again!
K. S.
I found that the afternoon tea was a little bit, Meh.
They paint a lovely picture of beautiful sandwiches, but they had barely any filling and it wasn't even to the edges. It sort of reminds me of them pastes you used to eat as a kid from a jar...I don't moan about anything really, but I found that the beginning of the afternoon tea was slap dash and not very flavourful,(other than the pea), it was a disappointing start.
The scones were gorgeous and I could have eaten so many, perfect.
Hot chocolate was great, but they will never be at fault with their hot chocolate.
I found the cheesecake too gelatinous, the cherry cake was very very good, but wasn't cut very well, for the price.
Service was good, the waiter was very attentive.
S. G.
Lovely food & service, cocktails very nice. Tried chocolate mash which sounded weird but was actually really nice. Recommend this place.
F.
Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the experience was incredible as well. Our waiter, Pavel, made our lunch an absolute delight, and went above and beyond when we mentioned it was my birthday. He suprised me with an beautifully decorated dessert, and 2 salted caramel vodka shots at the end of our meal. A great afternoon in Borough Market, and should definitely be a stop for any foodies visiting London. Many thanks to Pavel, as well as all the kitchen, bar, and waiting staff for providing an unforgettable meal!
S. A.
Great food. Great coffee.
B. G.
Really great and filling afternoon tea. They cater to many dietary requirements. I had gluten free and dairy free, and it was great. We had vegan and vegetarian in our group as well, and they got a great plate as well. Service very nice and kind. The bottomless tea /coffee / hot chocolate is really worth it.
H. M.
Absolutely love this place!! Have been to their restaurant on a previous visit and it is delicious. We went on a Sunday this time and were hoping to order their trio of mousse but didn't realise their restaurant wasn't open on a Sunday. However they still had very tasty brownies and cakes and a great coffee selection. It is lovely to go as a treat as we live in Nottingham, but if we lived closer we would definitely go more often.
On a separate note, it was really nice to try out their hand soap and moisture in the toilets too, another great way for customers to test out their beauty range.
S. W.
Very tasty food and a really unique dining experience. Combinations you'd never think to try anywhere apart from here, and everything on the menu sounds delightful and intriguing. The waiter was lovely and helpful. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a different night out.
S.
Walked in for lunch on Saturday. Immediately seated upstairs overlooking the Borough Market stalls.
Food was ok. Perhaps more of an acquired taste. The waitress recommended the Slow Cooked Cacao Glazed Lamb Shank with saffron barley. It arrived with a side of thick chocolate sauce.
I passed on the sauce. The first few layers were naturally sweet but thereafter a little bland for my liking.
K. B.
Served by pleasant staffs, a takeaway aubergine curry & a pulled beef burger were very good. Can't wait to dine in!
a.
Delicious and inspired food with chocolate integrated into each dish very well. The white chocolate mash was more of a joke order but it turned out to be amazing. The waiting staff were helpful and knowledgeable on the history of cacao and made the experience that much more memorable.
M. M.
Came in for a quick snack. Rabot do an amazing breakfast - including eggs Benedict with a white chocolate hollandaise which is AMAZING! However, this is only Tuesday to Saturday, so I had to “make do” with a caramel brownie and a white chocolate latte instead.
Service was ok - not as personal as I would have liked - and my “drink in” latte was served in a paper cup (which wasn’t great, nor environmentally friendly). Latte also wasn’t hot, more ‘warm’; which wasn’t worth complaining about but was a little disappointing. Service is usually better than this, and it wasn’t busy, hence three stars.
M. M.
Superb
Fantastic service by staff this morning.
Fine cocktail menu.
Indulged in the white chocolate mojito.
Filled by the scallop and mussel with white chocolate mash.
Finished off with a rhubarb crumble texture were divine.
Located upstairs from the shop in a clean cool temperature . Seating quite comfortable .
Worth another trip again soon.
Highly recommend.
B. S.
I went for afternoon tea - they were great with allergies. They cater for all my gluten free needs! The sandwiches were great as were the cakes!!
J. H.
Great food, great service. Obviously lots of chocolate and chocolate related tastes. I challenge anyone to eat all of the mousse dessert though!
R. G.
Beautiful, atmospheric setting above Borough Market. Food was delicious- I had scallops to start, then hake (the flavour of the cauliflower was out of this world). Many dishes had hints of chocolate - this was never overpowering- just a lovely hint of flavour. Our waiter Marco was fantastic, honest and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.
M. R.
The terrace they have above the Borough Market is an excellent place for people-watching. The cocktails were very good! We liked the Yorkshire pudding appetizer with white chocolate mashed potatoes, but the beef was chewy... I'd have preferred they use a better cut of meat or cooked it longer/slower. For the entre: They only allowed me to order the hamburger well done for health reasons, so while it looks excellent as served, it was very dry and all of the flavour had been cooked our of it. I would recommend this place, but only for drinks and the atmosphere above the market.
J. K.
Service was great very relaxed and didn't felt rushed. Was a nice place to eat and enjoy some chocolate treats perfect upstairs dinning area away from everything with nice views.
G. O.
The white chocolate mash was delicious! Could smell the chocolate as soon as they put the food down.
I thought the food overall was pleasant but a bit over priced - for me anyway; the service was a bit slow. I went there to try the food as I love Hotel Chocolat, I have done it and don't think I would go back.
D. L.
We ordered the avocado and egg on sourdough and the smoothie bowl for breakfast. Both were absolutely delicious - full of flavoursome and quality ingredients. Given it's owned by Hotel Chocolat it was perhaps unsurprising to find plenty of hot (and cold) chocolate options as well as teas and coffees. We ate in the cafe, where there's a constant stream of customers, but we only had to wait a couple of minutes for a table to become free. The atmosphere was cosy, quite woody and rustic-looking, a great place to meet up with a friend. There was also a restaurant upstairs which opens for lunch (and breakfast on Saturdays) and would be more suited if there's more than a couple in a group.
R. B.
Amazing meal, the Hereford beef was delicious. Highly reccomend a visit. Brilliant service too.
M. “. P.
good service & delicious food and cocktails. The menu has a good variety of options for all diets, and the vegetarian dishes we had were delicious.
If you are easily bothered by noise then sit inside because the trains at london bridge go over the market and it can be noisy. If noise doesn't bother you then the outside seating is nice.
A. S.
Hidden gem in borough market. Very interesting menu with cacao mixed into everything. Little pricey but paying for the location. Amazing terrace if nice outside overlooking the market
ע. כ.
All the chocolate lovers-you have to go to this place . The best hot chocolate(70%) i have ever taste! waiting for the next visit frome israel to come again(:
S. E.
Nice view over Borough Market and delicious food ✨The Mousse trio is a must try✨
S. L.
Can confirm that this the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It's a little different too in that it's more like a chococino (chocolate cuppocino), which is not too rich but super chocolaty. We only tried the hot chocolate, but the food and bar menu looks so interesting, pretty much everything has cocoa as an ingredient. Must come back again soon!
R. M.
I was gifted a Sparkling Afternoon Tea for Two at Hotel Chocolat's Rabot 1745 in Borough Market via Buy a Gift and it did not disappoint! The sandwiches were delicious and the chocolate inspired desserts were divine. The scones were served warm with your traditional clotted cream and jam, but they also served it with chocolate ganache which was sublime! Hotel Chocolat's own branded prosecco topped everything off! Overall I was extremely impressed by how balanced everything was, and that it wasn't sickly or that there was too much chocolate which i tend to find with many chocolate inspired afternoon teas. If you don't fancy the afternoon tea then it's worth popping in for a glass of prosecco or an espresso martini, the setting is lovely!
L. P.
Lovely place to sit on the terrace. Food was pricey but tastes delicious especially the dessert s. Watch out for the added service charge on the bill. 12.5% a bit steep I thought.
J.
The chocolate coffees are all amazing.. if you like something not too sweet their dark chocolate coffee is just perfect. Hazelnut latte is also very good flavored. White chocolate ones are sweeter than others. A regular chocolate latte is at £3.75 but totally worth it.
You can also purchase some Hotel Chocolate chocolates here.

First time in London after lockdown, back to our favourite restaurant
Had the lunch menu best and the most tender steak I’ve had, we’ll be back soon.
A. M.
I tried the limited edition white chocolate & raspberry milkshake, was very good.
On a different occasion I also tried the milk hot chocolate, was excellent, they made it with real chocolate (melted) instead of powdered chocolate, really good stuff.
P. O.
Great restaurant in the heart of Borough market. British Cousine with a twist. Cacao is part of each recepies and it is sapiently used to enhance the dish, without being overwhelming. Portions are more generous than I expected and the staff is nice and friendly. Nice terrace upstairs with heating for the chilly evenings. Really enjoyed dining here.
N. F.
Great mocha and what is even better is the service and welcoming I get from Angelic ❤️
K. F.
Great breakfast in Rabot 1745 overlooking Borough Market. Staff really helpful making whole experience really enjoyable and of course topped up with some chocolate on way out😋
A. P.
Really nice food and service. The yorkshire pudding starter was lovely
O. P.
Good beef main course, lovely goats cheese starter, reallllly bad BAFTA dessert.
I can only assume by the name this was served at the BAFTAs, something tells me not all of the rich and powerful finished their desserts this year.
A. F. G.
If you want a break from the traffic of the people and have no clear decision on what to get in borough market, it’s always best to sit down and relax. Conveniently this cafe is right in the middle of it. The smell of cacao will draw you in. The hot drinks don’t disappoint even on summer days.
Ill have a cup of their hot chocolate any day.
D. w. D.
I love this place.... super yum food and every menu item has chocolate (cacao) in it. Always great quality and service too!
G. L.
I have been here a few times on a Sunday. It is always busy but the service is always good.
This time I had the Valentine's Love Potion. Which is very good!
T. D.
The waiter Marco was very attentive. Good socially distanced tables without feeling covid clinical. Food and drinks were very good. Lovely atmosphere of the market below. A respite from the hustle and bustle.
A. T.
Great hazelnut latte & hot spicy chocolate ☕ in a cosy atmosphere. Prices are a bit high but if you are a chocolate incondicional and searching for a place near Borough Market to warm in London cold winter❄ this is the place :) Be careful, the door of the shop does not close well as you can smell cigarette inside.

The food was absolutely delicious. Exceptional service from the staff, I have to mention one member in particular (I think Gabriella), brunette woman. She was so lovely and great with her recommendation of the molten lava dessert. She was very attentive and funny, made our experience impeccable. Thank you for the service, and the amazing food. Will definitely return!

Delicious could go just for dessert alone !

I was a bit disappointed this time. Had been there about 1 year ago and enjoyed the very elegant combination of ingredients. But this time it all tasted a bit more mundane. Couldn't make out any of the more creative chocolat / cocoa butter flavours at all. Most disappointing was the chocolatey dessert though. What they should do best one would think. The mousse came straight out of the too cold fridge, and the chocolate flavours weren't impressive at all. Service was friendly and quick enough but kitchen or service mixed up one of my side orders (from a not really large order). It was the correct one on the bill but they brought me the wrong one.

Food is good, not the best but its good. Cacao theme is interesting and gives a nice twist on classics... white chocolate mashed potatoes anyone. Staff are always friendly. Get seats indoors to watch the hilarity of people trying to find the toilets and EVERY ONE of them being redirected by the staff.
F. S.
amazing food!staff were 10 out of 10 very cosy.cant wait to go back
A. B.
We really enjoyed our meal, and were really impressed by how attentive the waiting staff were all the way through :)
M. C.
The service was friendly and helpful. The cocktails we had (a Praline, and a Salted Caramel soother) were AMAZING! We had very nice main courses - duck, and chicken. The desserts were stunning - Molten Lava cake, and Apricot tartlet. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely go back again. We hope they make it safely through to the other side of the Covid-19 chaos. Thanks for a lovely meal :-)
M. B.
We just went in for a quick pudding at lunchtime on my birthday today. The food was great, especially the lava cake. The waiter was nice and friendly and the service was prompt. Only slight negative is that the bathrooms have quite low light - very atmospheric but a bit difficult for those of us who are partially-sighted. Still a lovely experience though, will happily return.
R. F.
Loved it, great milky hot chocolate, good enviroment

The chocolate coffees are all amazing.. if you like something not too sweet their dark chocolate coffee is just perfect. Hazelnut latte is also very good flavored. White chocolate ones are sweeter than others. A regular chocolate latte is …

Good beef main course, lovely goats cheese starter, reallllly bad BAFTA dessert. …

Lovely food great attentive front of house, for a Friday very quiet plenty of room and attention to covid regulations.

Nice place, great coffee and customer service but it was served in a takeaway cup.

If you love chocolate and coffee... this is the place to be
N. K.
Interesting menu, great taste, and super friendly staff. The bathroom is also an interesting experience!
D. H.
Great location, fantastic food and lovely staff. The waiter was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend. Will be back soon.
J. W.
Would have given 5 star if the place wasn't so dusty. Food excellent. Pleasant staff.
A. C.
Interesting and tasty chocolate themed food made for a fun evening. Some things more chocolatey than others but an exciting array of different flavours. The cocktails were also very nice. Would recommend to any chocolate lovers looking for something a bit different.
J. T.
I've been curious about this place for a while. I couldn't quite imagine how chocolate would work in savoury food, but it was delicious! Really tasty food with great service. Will definitely be coming back for more.
M. Y.
Fantastic for drinks and a really interesting restaurant. All dishes have cacoa nibs included in them, but as these are raw chocolate it's not sweet, so it becomes a very interesting way to flavour the dishes they offer. Highly recommend as a delicious experience. Great for a date night.
N. G.
Lovely treat of hot chocolate, chocolate shake and cake.
S. A.
A lovely restaurant in the heart of borough market. Arrived earlier than our booking but the staff were more than happy to accommodate.
We were sat down and were offered our drinks with the menu. Fabio was our host for the evening. Right from the get go he provided a warm and friendly experience. Some light humor and the right level of attentiveness left us really pleased.
The food was very unusual with the mix of chocolate bases. Surprisingly it worked. The food was beautifully put together and full of flavour. The savoury with a touch of sweetness.
A big thank you to the staff especially Fabio. You made our evening.
J. F.
Food in the upstairs restaurant is chocolate based, interesting but didn't taste super good. I had a mac & cheese with cocoa nibs that was heavy and oily even for mac & cheese. It was just okay. Service is friendly and accommodating and I had a pleasant time here despite the food. The chocolate drinks in the shop are great, if a little expensive. However you can get their top quality chocolate bars and make your own hot chocolate at home, just like in the shop.
P. U.
One of the best hot chocolates I've tried. Velvety throughout with very little froth. On a warm sunny day they open the windows the width of the shop so you can sit at the bar by the windows and watch people shopping at Borough Market. Great way to spend a Saturday morning. Staff were far friendlier than those you get at the regular high street coffee shops too. Highly recommended.
P. C.
5 stars for food and location, 4 stars for the overall value, and 3 stars for some of the prices. £4 for a tiny bottle of coke? Come on! But it is an excellent place to meet up, overlooking Borough Market. Been for breakfast (great, if a tiny bit pricey) and lunch (same).
J. S.
I got the cacao dips and sourdough platter last night and it was great for sopping up the glass of wine. I particularly enjoyed the balsamic chocolate dip as it was similar to Nutella with slight balsamic undertones. Very intriguing. The cacao pesto was less appetizing but the cacao butter made up for it. The sourdough was lovely- crispy crusts with a pillow-soft interior.
S. S.
What an amazing concept. Excellent service. The mac and cheese was delicious, served in flaky pastry. All the dishes have some elements of cocoa bean included. Nice outdoor terrace overlooking the market. Got to try it
S. G.
Prices are a bit much, but boy is this place delicious. I've never met a dish or a drink here that I don't love. The salted caramel soother is to die for, and all the food is so delicious. The random retail section of Hotel Chocolat goods takes a way from the ambiance of the downstairs bar, but it's definitely a good place to bring a date or family member if you're looking to impress.
G. V.
I ordered salted caramel hot chocolate and it was absolutely amazing! It was perfect for sweets' lovers but still not way too sweet. They had great range of basic and unique flavors, such as hazelnut, so you would be able to find hot chocolate perfect for your taste.
L. O.
Smooth and silky hot chocolate. Fine quality, but even the 85% cacao version doesn't fully taste of real chocolate.
j. r.
Went to this restaurant last night. Service was amazing . Great waiter and even when booking they were so accommodating. Food was great. The Hereford beef and the pulled pork were exceptional. Atmosphere was very nice. Would definitely recommend for something different. ....Thank you for a lovely evening.
J.
Really pretty decor! Baby friendly and food was lovely
S. S.
We stumbled across this place whilst looking for a quick bite to eat. We were lucky enough to get a table outside as it was Friday night on a very warm summer evening! We had some bar snacks which were very tasty. The wine was definitely on the more expensive side but the staff were friendly and it's a great spot to sit and relax and people watch!
S. F.
It was a great experience. Went for Afternoon Tea for two and loved it. We went to their Borough Market store.
The service was excellent. All the items were very fresh. Alex was our server and he was very professional. I would really like to come again.
R. M.
The place consists of 2 floors, on the ground floor there is a bar and a shop and on the second one is a restaurant. Never thought that waiter can make a big difference when rating the restaurant, if not for him the rating would have been lover as they forgot to bring the chips that we have ordered. The food was delicious and we certainly had a perfect time while dining in the restaurant.
M. B.
Wonderfully creative use of cocoa in every item on the menu and even with the beers and cocktails. Great decor, fab music. Service reasonable for a busy Saturday, but no check backs, no offers for another drink, one offer for desert, but didn't get pushed out when we didn't order anything else.
N. M.
Had a fantastic meal here with great food, great drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. Everything has a chocolate twist, but never over powering. The bread selection comes with an amazing chocolate balsamic and white chocolate pesto. The desserts are the highlight. The BAFTA 2017 dessert was a true delight!
i. l.
Had a three course meal here while visiting London.... Excellent quality food ( The beef was absolutely delicious )and friendly helpful staff. Afternoon tea looked very nice to!! Only 5 minutes walk from The Shard. Would definitely recommend.
K. V.
Amazing cocktails and lovely bar staff, Grigory and Angelica really go above and beyond! Salted caramel soother is a must-try. A bit disappointed by the popcorn mussels, a week ago they were absolutely wonderful, crunchy and juicy at the same time. This week they were way too dry and a bit burnt... please bring them back the way they were! :)
M. L.
Amazing hot chocolate (be sure to ask for the chocolate whipped cream). I have not had anything else but the hot chocolate so this review is only for that. However, they make their own chocolate so I imagine everything else is very good also. I will try other things the next time I'm in London.
M. M.
It was an experience. Everything was good! The hot chocolate is limitless and there is a flavour for every taste. Our waiter Marco was very good. Very on top on things, professional and all staff wore masks properly and assured distance was respected between tables.
A. O.
The service is outstanding. We had a great time here.
S. S.
I get my coffee every morning
And yesterday for the first time I had a lovely breakfast in the terrace...
The staff and the food just made it special.
I highly recommend it if you are shopping in the market .
M. F.
10/10! Had dinner here with my SO and everything was perfect. If you’re a meat eater I would recommend Jacobs Ladder. The apple crumble is also a great choice for dessert. The customer service, ambience and food was great. We will be coming back.
X. R.
Just had an evening meal here through a Buy A Gift voucher my parents gave us. Food was absolutely beautiful and the service was about the friendliest I have ever experienced. Our waiter also sent us packing with a gift box of assorted chocolate goodies!
We will definitely return!
Ps. The salt marsh lamb. Oh my days!
J. K.
One of my favourite spots in London for a great coffee with cake or cocoa infused cocktails in the evening. It is chilled and cool and everything is super delicious. If you are a chocolate fan, you must try it. Highly recommend Hazelnut Latte with Coconut Milk.
D. P.
Came here for dessert. The hot chocolate rum drink was delicious and all the desserts we had were amazing. The terrace seating over looking brough market was really cool and we all had a great time.
R. B.
My friend and I had such a fun meal at Rabot1745. All the tables were full and it had a fun, lively atmosphere. Our waiter Fabio made our night though - he was hugely knowledgeable about the menus and made us feel special! Great restaurant, recommended.
A. C.
This review is based on my cafe experience. I have heard mixed opinions about their restaurant dishes but i never tried their main dishes myself so i cant really judge them on that.
The Rabot Estate is in a great location (away from the noise of the main street) with a very enticing open front design. The only disadvantage of their design is that it can get a bit cold if you sit at the front tables during the winter.
I have tried their normal hot chocolate, salted hot chocolate, coffee chocolate(mocha) and all of them are exceptional. I have also tried their chilli hot chocolate but i found the amount of chilli shadowing the great chocolate so i wont be taking that again.
Of course If you visit you must also treat yourself to the amazing crepes they make (both with dark & milk chocolate) and also try the brownies.
I heard they now opened a terrace so i will definitely going back during the summer to check it out & try the savory dishes.
M. M.
Went here recently with my family. It was so quiet and clean. Lovely staff very polite, food and drink were delicious, would def recommend!. Pricey but a nice treat!
p. m.
Chocolate nirvana may be a good expression. The chilli hot chocolate is the perfect balance of warm chocolate and spice. Here you can see chocolate being created before your eyes. Venture upstairs to the restaurant and enjoy delicious food made with various chocolate flavours and infusions. It is well to remember that pure unadulterated chocolate was traditionally used for its health benefits.
A. F.
We came here for afternoon tea. The staff were very helpful and attentive. I pre ordered a gluten free version. Not bad, but the sandwichs were all the same shop bought bread, unlike the normal version. But did not feel as though I was missing out. The best hot chocolate I have had in a long time.
J. M.
BEST BACON BAP Ever! Wow! it was amazing. Such friendly staff, and attention to detail. Loved the little bottle of water and cups with our coffee, lovely napkins and the sauce in the Bacon Bap was so tasty. A real must if you go to Borough Market. Will be back again soon. Thank you Rabot 1745.
A. S.
I'm a member of the Hotel Chocolat Tasting Club, so I get regular vouchers for Rabot which make it more affordable. I've been several times and the food is sometimes fabulous, sometimes only OK. This time my main course (hake) was fabulous, but my husband's starter was only OK. He had the Vegan Borough Garden which was lacking in substance & texture - could have done with some bread, or something. But, overall, it was good.
M. v. A.
I was thrilled about this new restaurant expansion of the Hotel Chocolat brand and it didn't disappoint!
The menu, although a bit pricier, infuses chocolate into sweet and savoury dishes in the most unexpected, exciting ways. It celebrate cocoa and chocolate is all its shapes and sizes -- as a true chocoholic, it's the perfect place for a decadent dinner.
The staff is also well-versed on the menu's offerings and origins, which adds an element of intrigue to the fine-dining fusion of flavours.
A. M.
Very special, different, distinguished that offers a selection of rich unusual flavours. Last time I was there I had a cocktail and some nibbles, staff were amazing and helpful, but I have to say, despite being a table service, I had to get up and get their attention on more than one occasion while the place was not busy. But still I’d give them 5 stars.
M. C.
Nice coffee and lovely baked foods.
The venue is fairly small, but fairly Comfortable. But, at the Peak crowds of the Borough Market, it can be exceptionally busy. The staff are friendly and do their best to manage the crowds.
J. P.
Must go location for chocolate lovers. Every dish infuses the savoury taste of Cacao Beans and they offer a shaker of extra on the table yo flavor your meal. Food is delicious but make sure to focus on the deserts. Several types of hot chocolate on offer and ask to taste a few so that you get your favorite.
L. R.
while there isn't technically a mocha on the menu, you can get any hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. I had the 70% hot chocolate (with a shot of espresso) and it was delicious!
R. B.
An excellent afternoon tea in a comfortable room with good friendly service. We were sitting directly under the bridge carrying the Charing Cross to London Bridge railway line but we were not aware of train movements. We sat inside but there is an external terrace, with heaters, overlooking the stalls of Borough Market.
K. G.
Great menu in the cafe, fantastic selection of baked goods to go alongside them. There's a Hotel Chocolat shop in the store too which adds to the temptation! Only drawbacks for me were the limited seating areas, and the downstairs bathroom wasn't tidy - would recommend going upstairs to the one in the restaurant.
D. H.
Great food. As part of hotel chocolat, there was a strong chocolate vibe to all the dishes. The white chocolate mash was superb. I also enjoyed the wine and justified it as I'd been having a bad day
D. Z.
A place to see and be seen. But what often happens in such restaurants, the ambitious menu and the actual servings do not match. This place has every right to be pretentious, but when they do, guests have also the right to demand the best culinary experience. In that sense the experience falls a bit flat and as such would recommend to take chances somewhere else.
A. M.
Absolutely delicious hot chocolate that's also highly instagrammable! Great chocolate desserts and really quirky interiors too, but the brownie was (surprisingly) rather disappointing. Avoid the brownies and you'll love it!!
D. J.
Heard great things about this place but we were slightly underwhelmed. Nothing wrong (other than the wait) but the food was ok, rather than good. That was until the desserts, which, to be fair, were stunning. The menu wording tries too hard to be different, but ends up a little confusing in places. Service was excellent, and it's a busy place, so maybe we're in the minority, but it didn't grab me like I hoped it would.
J. O.
Great food with a cacao twist. The roast chicken and fish were both cooked well and the chicken came with a beautiful jus. The lamb shanks and beef ribs were tasty though slightly dry. All had great flavour though and good wine recommendations from the waiter. The BAFTA dessert of choc mousse was fantastic, smooth and rich.
C. R.
Brilliant food and good service.
C. L.
Beautiful venue, great staff!
However very overpriced for what it is, the choice of food was very basic and the cocoa with the food doesn't exactly work for me personally. That being said the overall service and venue was great. Just the food and drink overpriced and average at best.
S. T.
Fantastic South American twist on the British Afternoon Tea. Exotic and flavoursome. My favourites were the creole chicken and pumpkin mayo sandwiches, The fresh baked scones and the strawberry and vanilla cheesecake 😋. The service was efficient and friendly to!
S. K.
This place is usually open late for drinks and serve a delicious Salted Caramel hot chocolate if you fancy something classic. It's smooth and creamy. The staff are all really really friendly too and get chatting to you! The hot chocolate flakes you can buy to take home.
H.
An ideal restaurant for a romantic date. Cosy decor with warm lighting and large outdoor balcony or large window above Borough Market, which allows you to gaze at passers by.
Waiter and waitress service was pleasant and welcoming who gave good recommendations about what to order.
Food was delicious especially the BAFTA dessert. The starters was a little bit meagre, but professionally cooked and delicious.
T. V.
A few years ago, it was an a amazing place with a working conch, and chocolatiers working front of you preparing amazing delicious chocolate. They served amazing coffees and cocktails, nowadays its just an average coffee shop and a restaurant, worth to visit but dont expect too much of it
V. W.
Amazing chocolate themed restaurant! Everything tasted great and was very creative. Especially suited for vegetarians :) Also great service and decent prices for the quality and london.
O. Y.
Delicious hot chocolate choices, cozy coffee shop downstairs with an elegant restaurant upstairs. The market section offers a variety of chocolate based products from alcoholic beverages to beauty products. A nice stop for desert after grabing a bite at the Borough Market.
M. P.
I just stopped by, with the family waiting outside, to pick two takeaways hot chocolates. Was served relatively quick and the drinks were nice.
W. B.
One of my favorite places when it.comes to coffee (or chocolate of course). Perfectly locate at Boroughs Market you can prepare yourself for the market tour or rest afterwards. Coffee is great, hot chocolate varieties even greater and service is extremely friendly.
R. L. (. o. R.
Sublime! If you want a fantastic meal with a twist this is the place for you. Every dish worth the price and staff are fantastic and will see to your requirements without question. 100% Reccomend the starter sharing platter & the bafta dessert. Don't forget to try the house prosecco too it's delish!
E. T.
Small cafe with delicious chocolate drinks and coffee. They have restaurant upstairs.
S. M.
Good food, great coffee and cozy design.
A. R.
Food was fantastic and cocoa themed cocktails were amazing too.
V. V.
We had afternoon tea; interesting sandwiches, though I don't think the salmon sandwiches actually constitute as sandwiches... one round of sarnies only. Scones were tasty.
Staff were friendly and went out of there way to help.
B. S.
Delicious hot chocolate made with actual melted chocolate pellets, not powdered. The 70% Classic is lovely and smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommended if you are a chocolate fan.
M. R.
Location is and service were lovely, food was a little lacking. Beef shin was a bit dry, burger was unimaginative and white chocolate mash is probably not a great combo. Molten lava cake for desert was very good.
F. D.
After booking a reservation via email I was excited to attend for my 30th birthday celebrations, only to find they hadn't booked the table after all and said it was my fault. Even though I showed them my email conversation! Luckily they managed to accommodate the 14 people party we had as we wouldn't have found anywhere else to eat. This slightly overshadowed the experience for me even though the staff were ok and the food was nice.
W. T.
Had a great time at Rabot - amazing and inventive food (try the white potato mash & the praline soothers are absolutely dreamy!), brilliant location and the service was fantastic. Was seated out onto the terrace and blankets were provided which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend!
S. H.
A winning concept and a good all-rounder.
The main show here is the subtly different restaurant upstairs, serving a range of cocoa inspired dishes in tasteful surroundings. It's not haute cuisine but it does work and there's enough variety in the menu to please the most picky of chocoholics.
The side show bar downstairs doesn't disappoint either and is, in fact, the real reason to come here. They mix an impressive cacophony of cocktails and serve a thoughtful selection of bottled beers and wine.
It's made all the better by looking across the road to The Globe and watching hundreds of suits scrabbling for the bar as you sip a Chenin Blanc and nibble a chunk of salted dark chocolate.
B. W.
Hotel Chocolat with a cafe and restaurant. It's a good start. Hot chocolate was terrific and £4 isn't too badly priced. The usual premium quality and super tasty chocolate goodies are available as well (though obviously not the same variety available as at a Hotel Chocolat store.)
M. E. T.
Lovely decor. Good cocktails but nothing mind blowing - maybe we have chosen the wrong cocktails. We found it overpriced for the experience we got. Been to other places in the same price range which serve exceptional cocktails.
M. B.
Our meal from the set menu was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful, suggesting things we may like and try e.g. the white chocholate mash which was simply delicious. Will definitely visit again.
R. R.
Good collection of hot and iced chocolate drinks. Had a 70% dark chilli chocolate, which wasn't as dark as i would've liked but wouldn't mind buying again!
S. Y.
Easily our favourite restaurant in London!
Rabbot is our go to restaurant for special and momentous occasions.
Great bar downstairs to start with delicious cocktails, and a calm elegant and relaxed restaurant upstairs with food that is always a feast for the culinary senses!
D. N.
Nice place, great coffee and customer service but it was served in a takeaway cup.
T. C.
Not sure it's possible to leave less than 5 stars for Rabot. The attention to detail, lovely staff, wonderful atmosphere, and of course the amazing food. I can't wait to visit it's big brother in St Lucia.
P. B.
Very attentive staff and an interesting menu where everyone was impressed with what they had, from the meat eating carnivore to the through and through vegetarian. They were also able (and appeared happy) to make thoughtful adjustments to suit dietary needs.
F. F.
Food was absolutely amazing!!! Wine was surprisingly exquisite (chocolate wine!!!) And the white chocolate mash was so good (I know it sounds weird but it was fantastic)
J. H.
Amazing food at reasonable (but certainly not cheap) price. Named for the cacao plantation owned by Hotel Chocolat, the menu is a mix of trational British foods with Caribbean influences. Many of the dishes use cacao as a spice in some way or another.
j. C.
Warm place for a Hot hot chocolate , especially in winter time. After making a journey through borough market, you can drop by here for a cup of hot chocolate or a coffee. Good selection of pastries, impressive interior, you can also buy Gin here.
A. H.
A very tasty chocolate inspired menu. The Pork Wellington was particularly good. Service was speedy and a nice location on the edge of Borough Market.
G. S.
Great to get back to an enjoyable meal with friends after so long.
Usual good service. Thanks
I. G.
Great restaurant at Borough Market. I visited with my wife and startes, main, salad and deset were all great. Our server, Marco was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Overall great experience. Not missed
C. D.
Wonderful invention! How chocolate could be an ingredient of every dish in this restaurant. Come and find out! Deliciously exuberant, tasty flavours. Not for everyone!
G. A.
Lovely food great attentive front of house, for a Friday very quiet plenty of room and attention to covid regulations.
C. E.
Nice cocktails, but very heavily biased towards the chocolate theme.
Insisted on table service, no ability to go to the bar to order, and everything goes on one bill, so better for couples than for groups.
T. S.
Just watching the chocolate churn around in the machine is enough for this place to get 5 stars. Who doesn't like chocolate? Radbot is the place for multiple types of chocolate drinks - perfect to warm up after getting some outdoor grub at Borough Market!
M.
This place is close to my work so I usually end up here! Lovely lovely cocktails and great food! I love the chocolate drinks and their coffee as well!
E. “. S.
Very friendly and professional staff and great coffee. They even letvme use the toilet for free.
L. V.
Nice friendly service. Their ice cream is made from jersey milk which has been infused in cacao nibs is ok on a hot day but I wouldn't say it's a must try.
S. B.
The best place for hot chocolate. Also serves great coffee so if Monmouth Coffee is your thing and has a long queue, come here instead. Staff are friendly and helpful too.
S. R.
Really like this place. Breakfast was really nice and the heating was great for outdoor seating
j. B.
Rabot 1745 the food on fantastic, the service friendly, informative and professional .
A. C.
Great service, fantastic food, reasonable pricing for the quality.would love to visit again
S. W.
Beautiful venue and amazing customer service. Alina and her team were a joy to work with, a flawless Christmas cocktail party! Many thanks, and I highly recommend!
M. M.
Chocolate, Coffee and a restaurant upstairs ...yumbles
A. D.
Great decor and lovely people watching spot. That said, for coffee go to Monmouth instead, and for the 7.50 they ask for poached eggs head over to the foodie stalls across for a full meal instead.
S. P.
Had afternoon tea here. Nothing special it is quite average. Got an offer through groupon. As a vegan and non alcoholic they did well to offer alternatives.
A. R.
Had a wonderful dining experience here on Valentine's Day. The set menu was exceptional and reasonably priced. Our waiter was knowledgeable and entertaining.
A. B.
Very nice food and good service, different dining experience.
T. M.
Simply the best hot chocolate in London. Plus the coffee is great and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Love it.
R. T.
4 stars for the food. Interesting chocolate inspired concoctions.
The staff however all seemed to be terribly miserable. I do appreciate service with a smile!! 1 star for the service.
J. P. T. A. M.
Always great for a tea or coffee and meeting someone after work in the area. Have to queue for what feels like ages though to get served if there are several people ordering.
M. D.
Amazing drinks made out of real cocoa beans. Surprisingly filling for a small drink. Beware you may need water after! It does dry out your mouth a lot.
V. Y.
Amazing cocktails, really friendly staff. Really enjoyed it.
L. M. P.
Great place for chocolate lovers. Hot chocolate with hazelnut was delicious, and the desert with 3 different Choco mousse is great.
A. Q.
The white chocolate mash is a must-try. Good selection of cocktails too. It's fun to sit out on the terrace which overlooks Borough Market.
A. L.
It's not bad chilli hot Chocolate but I've had better! More warming, more kick needed. I wanted to try more things but as it was counter service only so I simply didn't!
C. P.
Fabulous afternoon tea here
E. G.
Perfect for a coffee/tea and amazing chocolate. Love this place for a quick stop.
Usually busy but staff is usually quick.
W. C.
Lovely place, maybe the best in the borough market.
The atmosphere it’s amazing I really enjoy every single time that I’ve been here.
All the staff especially chris are very friendly.
F. L.
Amazing afternoon tea. Food was amazing, hot chocolate delicious and lovely bubbly. Service was fab too. Highly recommended.
V. M.
Excellent lunch menu served upstairs on the 1st floor. The restaurant is right next to the Borough Market. Recommended.
D. C.
Had very nice afternoon tea at RABOT after a visit to the Shard, we certainly made the right choice and we were treated very well, would love to visit again on next London trip, Many Thanks.
B.
One of the best places for brunch in Borough Market. The amazing view over the market is truly special
A. B.
A very nice treat. Very friendly service. The food was lovely I had the lamb and it melted! A bit of a novelty rather than a stable but would recommend for a special event.
S. W.
Very spacious and the coffee was great! The food was good, not the best I had but a fun twist with the chocolate 😊
M. W.
Pricey yes. Worth it yes.
J.
It's OK. Staff polite and friendly but the food is OK at best. The inclusion of chocolate and chocolate related bits in each dish is a gimmick that in no way contributes to raising it from ok
R. L.
Excellent food Excellent service can'twait to go back for afternoon tea in August
T. C.
One of the best meals I've ever eaten and reasonably priced too. Relaxed yet excellent, superb service, superb menu, nothing to criticise and everything to praise.
C. H.
The food was not as good as before. The food was cold when served. I asked for gluten free bread. You can tell that they actually got it from supermarket. The bread was cold too..
G. G.
Thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail and the Black Forest gateau. The service is impeccable too
L. H.
Had afternoon tea , bottomless cups of hot chocolate much appreciated sandwiches weren't great but cakes and sweets were lovely.
R. M.
Interesting menu. Great location.
M. O.
Had a good rum here and like the concept of pairing chocolate. I like dark chocolate but one of the samples almost took the roof pff my mouth
L. H.
Not quite what it used to be, sadly! Their hot chocolate is not as thick, silky and smooth as a couple of years ago! Bring back the old Rabot 1745!
T. U.
I went through Buyagift and had an amazing experience. Food was amazing, atmosphere was good and service was excellent. Our waiter Fabio went the extra mile and deserves recognition.
D. S.
If you are in Borough market and feel like a hot chocolate this is the place. But it is a wine and food place first and foremost. The hot chocolate is a bonus
D. M.
Amazing food. Rather expensive but worth every penny.
S. B.
Interesting and original menu and worked great for a celebratory business lunch. Not overly busy either. Overlooks Borough market which is a nice quirk. Would recommend a visit.

Popped in for a late night hot chocolate. Not disappointed with my choice of the salted caramel. Rich in flavor and a regular size was plenty.
C. O.
The coffee chocolate is my staple every morning. It's not rushed so you get the full flavour of the coffee and cocoa beans. You will be hooked.
M.
Only ever been here for hot chocolate but they are tasty and rich! Would give this place 5 stars but the staff have been rude on a few occasions.
C. B.
Always great for coffee or breakfast. Great location. Eat indoors or on balcony overlooking Borough Market. Helpful staff.
A. C.
Excellent chilli hot chocolate with cocoa whip, yumm! Great with coconut milk, vegan options available.
S. W.
Food was lovely, service could have been a bit more lively

Classic Hot Chocolate on Right and Hazelnut Hot Chocolate on Left. Delicious

If you love chocolate and coffee... this is the place to be
A. C.
I took a detour on my normal route to work for a power catch-up with friends. They do a mean caramel hot chocolate (longing for one now) and a chocoholic's dream - an artisanal chocolaterie gem.
S. F.
Nicely decorate, calm space (albeit with some train noise when the windows are open) with a short menu of well-cooked, interesting dishes featuring cacao in the seasoning.
F. T.
Pleasant design, cosy atmosphere and very good food. The location is very interesting as well, right on top of the Borough market!
L. J.
A very delicious hot chocolate, loved the milky one
A. H.
Love the chocolate themed menu, with cacao available in various starters, mains and cocktails
A. A.
Absolutely amazing birthday meal courtesy of the little sis. Gorgeous food lovely location. Deserves 10 stars
T. D.
A really interesting menu, and some genuinely great dishes, but let down by inconsistency and some disappointing mains (with insufficient servings and accompaniments). Beautifully presented and probably worth trying though.
c. e.
Delicious Caramel got chocolate, topped with a shot of rum. Great place for people watching in Borough Market.
J. A.
Delicious food (and not everything in a chocolate sauce as first feared), friendly staff and a pleasant setting. Also, some of the most interesting toilets you'll see.
C. K.
Amazing high tea, little expensive
V. I.
A great concept. I was quite concerned at the beginning about the combination, but in the end I have to say it was amazing. Great location, and if the weather is nice, they have an outdoor terrace on the upper floor.
C. T.
Had the nicest steak burger here - all dishes have cacao embedded in them which gives off a faint chocolatey flavour.
D. J.
The most amazing classic dairy free hot chocolate.. smooth rich and indulgent. This cafe is a real find
B.

I went to Rabot on 18/1/20 for a group party
Very good attentive service that goes above and beyond for you. Would recommend for group events.
L. O.
Staff could have been friendlier, but they were probably annoyed by our unfamiliarity with London coffee culture as American tourists!
T. A.
We are coming from Jamaica, so it was a pleasant surprise to find something with a flavour that resembles home. Ask for the mulled cocoa cider with Appleton estate rum, it is worth your pounds.
E. A.
Very interesting menu and flavours. Great location. Friendly service. Relatively small portions for the price. Worth checking out.
c. c.

Amazing 70% chocolate for my first winter. This place is really packed but I enjoyed their environment
M. K.
Food was ok but relatively expensive. Portions are not that big, I didn't feel full. Also the blinking lights inside are quite annoying.
Y. B.
Amazing location. Good food but service could be a little better and is sometimes a little crowded (but it is central London so not that surprised)
