Reviews of Randall & Aubin

Just the best. Love it. My kinda place. Casual but sophisticated. Amazing top top notch food. Great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back 😍😍😍
S. V.
Food was absolutely amazing! Goat Cheese salad was warm, wonderful and perfectly balanced. Scallops were seared to perfection, and the spinach/pea dish was wonderful. Definitely recommend! Also had a lichi Martini that was so good I had a second one. 🙂

We booked a table at Randall & Aubin for our wedding anniversary and requested a nice table if possible and were very happy when we were taken to the best table in the restaurant. The food and service were amazing and we will definitely be back again. We had the mixed oysters to start and were not disappointed, you should definitely try these!
So we were fortunate to be able to come back here again a few months later, and the food and service were just as good as the first time. We even managed to bag the same table after asking to move to it. Definitely worth the extra money for great food and service 😁

The vibe was excellent, the quality of the seafood...epic and the staff were great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It's the sort of place you would want to take your partner for a date night before the theatre. Aaaaaaaand they have a disco ball!
L. G.
This restaurant serves fresh seafood and fish. The atmosphere is out of this world, and the food is delicious and fresh! The people who work here really care about the level of hospitality and service. They are happy to serve you, explaining what the menu offers, wine recommendations etc. It's refreshing to find serving staff and the chefs act as "one team" as they create meals for the customers. The menu is varied, hint:
try the dish of the day. Desserts are creative and to die for. Amazing atmosphere and music. Thank you to Annie who served us on Saturday night. I'd definitely recommend dining at this restaurant. The best in Soho!!
J. R.
Brilliant! For me the place to have very fresh and very good fish .....
and in my opinion the best mayonnaise in London (tastes like my mom's one!).
G. T.
Cannot fault the vibes here, absolutely lovely staff and the general feeling in this place is so upbeat and cheerful - great place to go on a weekend (and of course they are LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️🌈)
Food was...disappointing. I’m giving them a 4/5 instead of a 3 because my boyfriend has been there a few times before and it looked like they were having a bad day.
- We had 3 mushy prawns on the platter that were not fresh.
- They had no Whelks which were supposed to come with the platter which was a shame.
- Whilst the service tone is lovely and welcoming, I did feel some staff were deliberately avoiding eye contact with me and we had to get out of our seat to grab the attention of our waitress.
- The cooked scallops were massively over salted, and the chef must have agreed as they kindly removed this dish from our bill.
Overall, despite the hiccups of the night we did have a lovely meal here, and I would definitely come back. Make sure you save room for dessert as well, the cherry bake well is to die for!
N.
The people there were lovely. Was literally the only place that had oysters last week in central London and that saved my birthday! The bloody Marys were also great!
M. S.
Beautiful French-style Restaurant with very friendly service and beautiful food from plat de mer to creme brulée. Quite some British surprises (Kipper croquettes, British cheeses instead of French, Port instead of Sauternes). Rather tightly packed and rather too loud music but otherwise super.
J. C.
This place is amazing, the food and the ambience is just incredible. We came a second time and the service was much much better - lovely warm staff. Highly recommend
S. D.
Amazing meal, friendly helpful staff... just so hard to choose only a few dishes!

Update 3.......I just can't stay away from here!!
Delightful evenings dining, food top notch as always.
Staff brilliant and now this restaurant is definitely in my top 5 to visit in London.
Menus are seasonal so what you see on reviews online might not necessarily be available on that evening.
Back again!!! Amazing quality as always, I really love this restaurant and definitely one of my favourites.
Cockles were the best I've ever tasted! Fresh, fat and juicy, had them served with oysters as a starter.
Excellent afternoon at the restaurant.
Delicious foods with some amazing shell fish, good quality wine and excellent service.
Staff polite, professional and attentive but not intrusive.
Great tasting seafood dishes prepared in a open kitchen.
delightful and funky atmosphere.
Definitely the place to go for fresh seafood in Soho! highly recommended and definitely with a visit.
K. M.
Fantastic fresh seafood, great wine list and lovely atmosphere. Look forward to going back soon.
K. C.
Food is amazing.....staff very friendly, and nice music, inside seating not what I expected but works well .
I. R.
Fresh and delicious seafood and great service. Of course a bit pricey, but it is Soho so it's expected. Quite loud music inside, but lovely outside area if you can get a seat there. Would recommend the oysters, the cocktail shrimp and the tuna.
N.
Great food and atmosphere. The service was great and the waiter was able to explain the dishes and give recommendations. We had oysters, mussels and risotto for starters and Bouillabaisse and crab for mains. I would highly recommend.
M. D. L. S.
I had a lovely evening! and the service provided by Antonio was outstanding! Definitely enjoyed and I will be coming back for more! Great oysters!
P. S.
A triumphant return to our favourite restaurant after 18 months or so. What a treat to be back with Ed Nicola and all the gang and to have such a fantastic time. The welcome was so warm and after excellent cocktails the starters - prawn cocktail and the scallop special - and the mains - tuna steak and skate wing special - were all superb, as could be judged by the empty plates. All washed down with an excellent Chenin Blanc from the Cape and a couple of glasses of champagne at the end. Wonderful from first to last and it won’t be 18 months until the next time!
M. F.
Super fresh seafood, but there was very little space sat against the wall to enjoy it. The service was courteous, albeit very slow. More of a bar with loud music that serves good seafood, than a restaurant.
F. R.
All members of staff are amazing! Immaculate service and superb food. Special mention to Annija and Robins who took care of us. We came as a group and received the warmest welcome. Management is amazing and every member of staff is accommodating; no problem to small no problem to large. I recommend everyone to come and try! The best value and quality for money you can find in Central London!
R. K.
Nice food and environment, but what really stands out is the service, far better than anything we've had recently.
Was served by Robinwho was really pleasent and knowledgeable, made us feel really valued!
Upon learning it was our first time trying oysters he got Susu (floor supervisor ) over to our table, she gave us a little 'tutorial' on how best to eat them which was lovely.
Overall a great experience!
N. R.
My favourite restaurant in London. Always popular. Fresh fish options daily and amazing cocktails with awesome atmosphere
J. G.
Giant fresh platters guilded in ice, slick tiled décor, cheeky wait staff and great tunes. This was the exact sort of seafood dining experience that we needed in our lives 😍
D. J.
Busy day when we arrived, but felt they really valued our custom . Impeccable customer service in a restaurant which consistently provides excellent seafood and a feel good ambiance wrapped round it!
M. R.
Great place for a meal. Enjoyed the music and atmosphere.
The waiters keep bringing us drinks without us requesting them which was not ideal as we had planned to swap our gin for wine on the first course but regardless we had a great meal.
The only negative thing was the whole lobster was very small and disappointing. However it was cooked to perfection.
Would recommend.
E. H.
One of my all time favourite restaurants in London!
Fresh seafood, great ambiance and lovely staff - would highly recommend if you are in Soho!
C. H.
First visit back in ten years. Atmosphere has slightly changed not as lively as I remember. The hot dishes my family had were very good but my cold seafood platter was indifferent. Watery small prawns and a small portion of crab which was sadly only the white meat. Oysters and the bulots were good but overall the seafood platter was overpriced.
Drinks expensive too.
R. K.
Good food and nice stuff! Highly recommended.
D. L.
Upbeat environment with lovely staff and really yummy seafood. From 6pm it definitely starts to get a bit busier and you may end up in a queue outside, but between the food and the environment it's worth the wait. Can certainly recommend either the scallops or the grilled squid. A great place for a date night (think close, cosy seating). Prices are also decent for the quality of food you're getting-- portion sizes are considerable enough if you're moderately hungry, otherwise ordering an additional side will definitely fill you up. 👌🏼
W. Y.
Had oysters and they were all fresh!! Had hot dishes, my Halibut dish and the seafood combo were extremely tasty!! I can’t skip mentioning my lovely server, she was extremely helpful and friendly!! Loved her service :)
A. d. F.
Great place which deserves to be checked out if you are in Soho and have some quids in your pocket you would like to spend.
As every place in Soho, is a bit pricey. However, the quality of the menu and the good service pay back. I would recommend it for small parties, as the sittings are mainly in shared bars.
We got astonished with the service, which unfortunately is not that usual in London lately.
The staff was fully aware of everything what has been happening in the room, every one has been kind, polite and taking care of everything with a smile and great professionalism.
From the first minute when we have been received till we left. Excellent experience service-wise.
The food was really good, flavoury and tasty. We have all enjoyed what we had.
The atmosphere was a little bit noiser than expected and sittings were too close, making our conversation mixing with the conversations of other customers.
Overall was a really good experience and would love to come back.
A. d. B.
Excellent seafood in the heart of Soho. Love the décor too and the service is generally very good. Our waitress told us off for moving the seafood platter support - not a big issue but customers need to be made to feel relaxed when they dine. The seating is a little too close plus I'm not a fan of bar stall but I would go again because the food is amazing.
a. t.
We had a great meal, and the atmosphere is good. Place needs a but of a clean though. Window area not too special. Blinds have fur coats on. We took photos but unfair to post public. Available to establishment on request
L. H.
We ordered a combination of four kinds of oysters, a queenie scallops, house mix bread and pink prawn for dinner. Also, a bottle of white wine. The seafood was so fresh and tasty!! Service was great and staff was so friendly. Really good atmosphere here.
I. F.
Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
D. T.
A great London eatery in the heart of Soho, serving fresh seafood.
The oysters and accompanying vinaigrettes were refreshing and moreish.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming.
Note - this restaurant is not the place for a quiet conversation. The atmosphere is buzzing, and quite loud. However, that's the whole point!
H. T.
Best french restaurant we have been to. French onion soup is amazing. Loads of seafood dishes on the menu.
M.
It's one of my favourite restaurants in London. Vibe is fantastic, music is great, service is usually good or excellent and drinks are amazing. The only downside is the seafood which can be full of sand more often than not.
A. N.
Great restaurant and lovely food. They got my order wrong but all is forgiven because of the food quality.
I had the lobster bisque as a starter (I ordered oysters in addition to it but they forgot or misunderstood). My partner got the mussels. The cream and wine sauce was a mite salty but really good.
For mains I had the pan seared tuna (medium rare). It was lovely. My partner had the catch of the day - roasted halibut with veggies and potatoes. It was really good.
We both had the lavendar lemonade which was nice. I think I will return.
P. M.
A wonderful dinning experience, we have been coming to this place for over 20 years now and it never disappoints.
Food was spot on and service was amazing.
l. k.
I have been here many times over the years and this time I was disappointed. We were crammed together and the waiters didn't wear face masks and stretched over us without any thought during these Covid times. Our waiter got our order wrong and then lied to us about why it was wrong (we weren't born yesterday!). An additional dish was bought to rectify the mistake but we were then charged for it! The discretionary service charge was added to bill without asking. Even the food wasn't as good. Won't be going back anytime soon.
B. G.
There's a reason this place has been around for so long. This lovely, clean French-style restaurant served excellent, fresh seafood. They were amenable to dietary requirements and the servers were friendly and created a joyous atmosphere.
I was so impressed with the standards of this restaurant when I saw one of the servers literally dusting the frames on the wall as part of her cleaning routine at the end of service. Definitely the place to go in soho for quality seafood without a gimmick.
M. D.
We went on a Sunday lunch time. It was relatively quiet, which was nice. Good, prompt service asking for drinks and etc. The manager is lovely but the guy who waited on us seemed moody. So that changed the atmosphere for us. The mains we ordered were good. The lobster was ofcourse the star of the show. The side dishes are very small. Dessert was a major disappointment. The chocolate roulade was heavily covered in a raspberry sauce that completely ruined the dish. Perhaps serving it on the side maybe a good change. The Crème brûlée and the lime tart was nothing to write home about. Overall, a mixed experience.
W. K.
Lovely ambient, lovely food and outstanding service. I can't say I have been overly impressed. The food has these french names that mean nothing to me and found difficult to figure out what is what. Is worth the experience but wouldn't be something that I will remember for long or that was so good that I will recommend to someone as outstanding.
S. Y.
My must-go small restaurant when in London - great atmosphere in the transformed old butchers' shop. Tasty food and drink, with fun and attentive service
Re-visited recently, and a was a little less impressed as some items forgotten off the order, and the staff seem quite noisy and distracted with their own singing and chatter. Just a bit slack, or maybe over-confident.
R. G.
Marvelous little find. Tiny but charming and the food was wonderful. Service was very friendly and the overall experience was great.
K. P.
Foods is so amazing, lovely service will back again soon.
P. T.
we went to RANDALL & AUBIN last Friday evening. we booked at 845pm we must be queueing until 915. no place available.
the place was packed we had a place for two.
we waited a lot to receive attention from waiters.
drinks came very slowly.
we had Poully fume and fried calamari, and 2 lobsters and chips
The food was good, but at the beginning, the service was not so quick and careful. Thank God the Polish waiter makes the difference ... was very focus and always smiling. Was very professional. He deserves this good review because he did the difference.
I will come back soon because I want to taste other dishes because is very close to my favorite pub.
I suggest dropping by 😋
M. M.
This place is fantastic! Delicious food, and amazing service. I can highly recommend it. It's a must. Thank you so much for a great experience.
N. B.
Went back again for a special lunch.. delicious, fresh food... the service was amazing too! Our day was made even more special by the waitress who brought against Creme Brulee for us, on the house!!
L. L.
For me it is a fantastic restaurant. It feels cosy and romantic with dimmed lights and flickering candles.
The smells coming out from that kitchen does something to my soul. Oh heaven's that plate of oysters! It did something to me that I couldn't possibly share it here. It tasted fresh, juicy and delicious.
I then ordered the lobster with chips for my main and every mouthful was like melting in your mouth deliciousness.
I have been there 4 times now and I will be going again and again.
The service was superb. It was very efficient with knowledgeable and friendly members of staff that were able to suggest and recommend things from the menu.
I. L.
I love this place. Wonderful seafood, uplifting music and friendly staff. If you are anywhere between around Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Sq check it out.
n.
Amazing food, everything we ordered was delicious and definitely worth the money! Very helpful/friendly service, we had a wonderful time!
K. R.
Great atmosphere, awesome food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Best dining experience we had in London. Enjoyed watching the chefs cook and thanking them for a great meal afterward.
C. W.
Absolutely great resturant they dont take bookings and the resturant was very busy. It has a very cool vibe and helpful staff. We had a 10 minute wait for a table and when we got one it was a little cramped. However the wait and the cramped seating was worth the quality of food. We shared crab cakes to start and they were amazing. For my main I had the cracked brown crab which came with a potato salad and my partner had the diver picked scallops. The meal was absolutely lovely and considering the quality well priced. Overall a great seafood resturant and I would recommend to anyone in London 5*
T. J.
Wow, seafood with a spectaculer atmosphere! Banging out funky house and serving amazing dishes! Dessert is fire too! No bookings in rhe evenings do he prepared to queue!
A. “. T. F.
Went here for my wife birthday. Good food. Reasonable price. Staff were very attentive and kind enough to play our wedding song during our time there!
A. C. C.
Excellent sea food, nice service. Loved the dessert: creme brûlée. A bit too cramped and noisy for my taste, though.
I. “. L.
The food is all absolutely delicious and fresh. The wait staff is very kind and efficient. Only problem is the incredibly loud music which makes it almost impossible to hear the person or people you are dining with.
G. P.
Good late lunch. Tasty food although portions may be small. Cocktail 🍸 wasn't good. Lovely and professional waitress.
A. A.
Pretty awesome seafood place tucked inside Soho. Was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere - the music was really good and it was perfectly lit. Had the sea bream which was excellent, complemented with contrasting flavours and perfectly soft potatoes. Would recommend on a weekend night before heading out - gets you in the mood!
S. G. O.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Can't wait to return.
A. M.
It was my first time and won't be my last. Delicious, well presented food and attentive friendly staff.
A. E.
Very popular and busy. Loud music in the background. No space to stand indoors while waiting for places to sit even when places reserved. Bar style tables with pillars holding the tables in place so a group of 4 people might not be able to see and speak to each other across the table (photo shows what I could see from my seat - not great). Service was fairly prompt and efficient for pre-theatre meal. Food was good. Manager did note the poor seating arrangement and offer a small discount (free dessert).
S. P.
We had a lovely time! Great seafood and nice ambiance, would definitely recommend this place!
R. T.
Truly a must visit if you're in the area ..
We celebrated our anniversary at the Soho eatery this January and the warm welcome allied to the superb kitchen fare made for an outstanding lunch experience ..
We were so taken by the exemplary hospitality that Valentine's Day sees us return once again ..
Huddle down by the windows front of house with one of the fine wines on offer and watch the world drift by ..
Highly recommended for ambiance, service, honest food and overall value.
L. C.
Best seafood I've had in years! Highly recommend. Ordered grilled garlic prawns.. Delicious. Very nice staff, great atmosphere. Eating dinner to an eclectic selection of music too. Will definitely book again.
i. h.
Food was very nice and the service was excellent. Today was our first experience and we'll definitely be back
g. b.
Nice seafood restaurant. A bit on expensive side but the food is really tasty. The staff is awesome and the atmosphere is nice.
T. O.
Nice but oyster and shellfish are lots of shells in side but very nice fresh seafood,
And staff are very nice
Y. S.
it is a little crammed place and may not be great for large group/social occasion but certainly great for intimate dinner for seafood lovers and couples
H. M.
Simply wonderful if you are a love of fresh seafood and good wines. Service is outstanding!
Great seating. Cool music....I could go on ...and on
d. l.
Food was great but there were only two wait staff in the whole restaurant on a Sunday night, so service was a bit slow.
C.
Amazing team Hannah, Carmen and the gentleman are all very kind and thoughtful!
It was my birthday so the team kindly added a birthday candle to my desert.
The food is really good, I had the lobster cooked in butter and a Judy Garland cocktail, both top!
I'm definitely coming back!
Thank you all.
J. A.
Really enjoyed my steak here (cooked to perfection) and the dessert (rhubarb bread and butter pudding was sublime) the service was a little disjointed at times, but friendly nonetheless :-)
E.
Best seafood in London! Fresh, tasty and delicately prepared. Service is nice too! Calamari, sea bass, crème brûlée.
p. d.
Glorious! Delicious, excellent seafood. A great atmosphere with staff that feel like a family. Always a joy go cone here.
a. t.
Fantastic food and lovely service. Great menu to share or just to indulge.
徐.
Pretty and cozy place. Tuna dishes is very delicious but not very clean in the Oyster
n.
Love this place so much that I’ve visited for several times. My favourite dish is Tuna Salad which is totally delicious!
S. C.
Wonderful, attentive staff but will small and on a hot day it was very hot inside. Pricing not too bad and menu whilst mostly seafood does have a few other options
S. G.
Best seafood place in London - exquisitely cooked food, great atmosphere, great location, great service if you get the right waiter (we literally relocated to a different area of the restaurant)
V. G.
We had an anniversary there and they made us feel very special, the seafood was first class and the staff were great and very reasonably priced,I would recommend this establishment.
C.
Cool place with great seafood and excellent service. Good buzz on the weekend with lively music.
F. M.
Very good service. Place is a small, but I had a good moment with my Friends.
S. T.
Nice food but need bigger portions, had the lobster and fries and a side of broccoli, had to get calamari and chips at the pub a couple of hours later
J. A.
Lovely dinner, brilliant service.
A perfect date night spot. Will very happily come back.
S. L.
High quality food and drinks. Great service too. Can be crowded and noisy, but that’s typical for SoHo.
T. L.
Had a lovely experience at this restaurant today , hadn't booked but was welcomed by a lovely guy at the door who found a table of two for us . We ordered a seafood platter and a couple of drinks, everything was great except for the mussels which were included on the platter they were gritty and dry but overall we enjoyed ourselves great service and food only gave 4 stars due to the mussels .
G. R.
Amazing food and such a good value ! Fresh seafood, best fish soup ! Fantastic service we love you Sousou !!!! Will be back for sure ! Love the vibe 🙂
E. H.
Very loud & lively environment (too loud). Too close to othersl guests. And we weren't a big fan of the risotto. Bread was great. Shrimp was delish; but not very filling.
S. M.
Loved the atmosphere, staff and especially high quality sea food. Absolutely delicious and will be coming back!
S. J.
Have just returned home from a wonderful evening with you.
Really good food and excellent service.
Many restaurants aspire to what we experienced but don't come up to scratch. Your food and excellent team made us happy!
Thank you
J. V.
Unfair to score lower because food quality, however you can't only offer cold shellfish. Something is not right (re: not sure king prawns can be served plenty of their eggs)
B. A.
Unfortunately the waitiers couldn't recommend us options that paired well or advise on the specials. As a result we felt like we missed what this restaurant is meant to be good for. Food was bland, flavours didn't compliment each other. Maybe next time but not sure if there will be ever again.
T. C.
Great food and fun, lively spot.
T. D.
Excellent local and international seafood. Friendly and professional staff in a refurbished butcher's shop. Comfortable and friendly.
S. C.
The only seafood place I would return to visit year after year. Have been a patron of R&A since '96 and they never disappoint.
Cozy seating, with great attentive service, albeit laid back hip vibes, not the place to go if you want a sterile, quiet establishment.
Major problem is choosing what to eat.
Long may Randall & Aubin continue!!.
m. w.
We love this place. Yes it's a little cramped (great for a first date ) but the food and wine list is amazing. Simple choices cooked to perfection. The seafood linguine is a favourite. The staff are super efficient and friendly. Don't be surprised if you have to wait outside for a timing but you'll be served drinks to ease the wait. Not too pricey considering the location. We always have a lovely time there.
l. f.
We have been going to R&A for 20 years and love the food, staff, music …. We love it all but last night the lobster risotto was off the scale .. just fabulous ❤️❤️ Thank you for another lovely evening ❤️
M.
Very nice food, lobster and main with tuna were fantastic. Cool funky music. Not for people that like a quiet restaurant
A. N.
This is the best fish bar in London. Not only that the food is amazing but the atmosphere is second to none. I could not recommend it any higher, shame i can only leave 5 stars as a review!
J. H.
Staff are AMAZING! So friendly, attentative and fun. A must go restaurant x
A. C.
One of the most iconic restaurants in London, and the food is still amazing 20 years later.
Relaxing atmosphere and great service.
S. L.
Really delicious food, I had the garlic prawns and chips. Service was slow BUT, it was the night before lockdown so they unexpectedly high demand and I was in a little rush but they were so polite and genuinely cared if we liked our food. Will definitely go again.
p.
Still a very favourite place to visit in central London.... Staff absolutely lovely and friendly and so very attentive... It's a must if you can get a table so strongly recommend you book before go....
H. F.
Great seafood. Fresh oysters. Love the outdoor seating. Friendly unpretentious staff. Warm and welcoming. Chicken is just about the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Great work guys. Will definitely be back 😃
W. Y.
Impressive food and music! The seafood platter is definitely recommended.
D. R.
Great food, had the mussels and garlic butter lobster both were great. Quite loud, but not excessively so, good music. Pricey, but reasonable for central London high quality sea food.
Not personally that bothered but COVID precautions were not great/non-existent. Difficult time for everyone, but other places are doing it much better.
M. P.
The fish is fresh and service is excellent! , but run out of clams already by late afternoon , shows supply issues..
A. R.
Excellent scallops and beef carpaccio in candle light. Very good vibe, good crowd and music.
C. W. V. H.
Enjoyed my classic boulbaisse dish at a table in the street

Love everything about it, delicious, fantastic chefs and a lovely ambience.
N. M.
Very nice atmosphere, great cocktails, food was fair, service is slow.
Overall, Recommended.
G. H.
Great restaurant with extremely efficient and friendly waitresses.
Z. (.
Our group of four dropped in for lunch on a busy Saturday. Staff was very charming and welcoming. drinks were served almost immediately – an experience we already had when we visited last time.
We loved watching the chefs preparing the food. The Spago chicken was absolutely delicious, just like the burgers and the Chicken Cesar Salad. We definitely can recommend this outstanding rotisserie.
S. H.
Friendly, attentive service and wonderful seafood. Pretty good value for central London too. The whole family are looking forward to the next meal!
A. K.
Read great things about this place and wasn’t disappointed, the service was on point throughout and very reasonably priced for seafood in London. Great if you’re a seafood lover, wasn’t necessarily a fan of the high seating, but that’s just a personal preference. The creme brûlée was creamy and absolutely beautiful!
C. L.
My first visit here having heard excellent things about it. Thoroughly excellent night. Food was delicious, great atmosphere And fantastic service. I would like to mention Anna in particular, she is an asset, exuding warmth, positivity and passion. I can’t wait to come back and introduce more of my friends to this gem. Thank you for a lovely evening all
K. T.
Friendly and accomodating staff. Special mention to Susu who has been very nice!
T. C.
First time eating here and we’ll certainly be making a second visit very soon. Loved the atmosphere – the lighting is just right, the music nicely in the background. The Christmas decorations were up which made it feel cozy.
Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Food was excellent – I had the Hake special which was cooked to perfection and my other half’s langoustine was fab too. We shared crab cakes for starters and a sticky toffee pudding – both great. Terrific bread as well!

I've been here a couple of times and each time they have nailed it. The staff could not have been more helpful and the food (although I only had the Bouillabaisse) was exceptional. I think it might well be my favourite fish restaurant of all time. If you can - GO!
R. G.
Awesome food. Loved the place.
Definitely recommended.
F. H.
Great service n delicious food. Nice pro pro. Could eat 5 lobsters TBH
O. R.
This is a classic - If you love your oysters and your seafood, the place to go in Soho. Vibrant, small venue, great service. For longstanding Londoners, a go to place...
D. H.
The freshest tastiest seafood you’ll find in London! Staff are highly professional and know their menu inside out. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Recommend the Hand picked Devon crab. Thanks so much!
L. W.
First visit, absolutely fantastic, both food and service the best I have experienced in a very long time. Will be back soon.
J. M.
Wonderful seafood and an amazing atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
S. B.
Highly recommended! This is one of my favourite Soho restaurants. Absolutely fantastic food with great daily specials and a sumptuous wines to match. Really friendly team providing quick and attentive service. Quirky and informal dining area that adds to the unique experience. I've been going for years and will continue to do so!
p. w.
A haven on a rain sodden visit. Seafood to die for served by knowledgeable and caring staff. Not cheap!
A. A.
Delicous food, good service. I love it
M. W.
Very crowded place (more seats and tables that the space allows). Don't order window seats - form your high bar stool you will be looking straight onto the eyes of people queuing outside (like 30cm away from your face).
Music gets louder and louder with time, so try to get there in the afternoon, not evening. Even if you ask to turn it down a bit you will hear it is the owners/ management idea. I am not going back.

We’ve been in London for 1 week and this was by far the best meal we have had. I had the lamb steak and it was incredible. Someone else had the Tuna which was equally as good. The staff was awesome. It was a fun atmosphere that our entire group enjoyed.
P. M.
One of the best restaurants in London, certainly the best seafood. Such a fantastic vibe, super friendly team working there and the food is awesome. Highly recommended. Their specials are always great too. Try their house champagne! You may have to queue but it is worth the wait.
N. S.
Great seafood, enormous portion! Excellent service!
T. N.
Visited here on a Friday night without a reservation. It was packed. The waiter kindly asked us to wait outside and if we wanted the heaters on or order drinks.
We waited 15 minutes before getting a seat. The place is quite small and has a good buzz. The menus are in frames on the wall. I chose the lobster with garlic butter and fries and my partner had the cod with chorizo and beans. The dishes was so good. Staff were very helpful with the menu and attentive. The only downside was the music, it was blaring out so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation with the person next to me.
W. A.
Let's start with the fact you eat dinner on uncomfortable bar stools. My body still hurts. The lobster is a scam half or full. Go hungry leave hungry. 3 stars because of the sticky toffee pudding dessert :) it was great
W. W.
Food was ok. We had a dozen English oysters - which was disappointing. Firstly, the oysters were not cut so when you eat, you have to work it out with your fork(tearing apart), and every oyster tasted grainy - definitely from the shell. Every single bite, we had to spit it out which you don't expect normally when you eat oysters. Secondly, we ordered truffle cheese chips as our side dish, and it barely had any cheese, no taste of truffle, and even chips itself weren't great either. Halibut and linguine was great and we liked the atmosphere. Service by first person was really good but after that it was ok. It would have been a much enjoyable experience if the oysters were prepared well.
K. C.
Superb. You can't book for the evening, but we were assured of a short wait and immediately we arrived the maitre d' took care of us and found a table suited to the party. One of us is disabled, and the seats were chosen to take that into account. The servers were knowledgeable, supportive, professional and swift. I agree with another reviewer that the music was loud at the start, pounding dance music that actually served to heighten the atmosphere as it necessitated leaning very close to talk, but that gave way to quieter jazz versions of standards as the evening progressed.
Menu impressive, fish extremely fresh and with large portions. The bouillabaisse was spicier than expected which didn't suit one delicate palate as much as his entree, though perfectly delicious to the others.
No rush, no stress, no problems. Servers checking in regularly to ensure everything was fine were unintrusive and felt natural and caring. The farewell at the door felt real.
Groups, couples and solo diners seemed as happy as we felt.

Was let down by another seafood restaurant locally. Luckily we were gladly accommodated here and had an excellent meal with great service, good wine selection and varied menu (surprisingly well priced considering location). Now my go to restaurant in this area! 👍
N. W.
Fantastic service, lovely food, great coffee. What a place to sit outside and watch London night life. Very cosmopolitan.
G. P.
Excellent food, at a reasonable price. Great staff. Great location. Love this place!
A.
Sadly, the service disappointed. It’s been quite a few years since we visited and it used be one of the favourites spots. Staff is too busy chatting, took forever to get their attention, had to remind about missing drinks. Another thing, the manager tries too hard- no need for silly high fives. They also used to offer a complimentary fresh bread upon arrival. The food was great though.
M. M.
Always brilliant. Wonderful waiting staff, friendly charming, with the chefs cooking in front of you. Fresh tasty and varied seafood on the menu. feels like you've known it for ever, and it's got the best atmosphere.
N. H.
Classy joint in the centre of Soho. We came on a lunchtime and it was quiet. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated anyway. I had the steak bavette and my wife had the lemon sole. Both were lovely. We also had cocktails which were great. Prices are slightly on the expensive side
A. H.
Best Steak I've ever had outside my own home. And I've been back twice since to make sure it wasn't an accident the first time. I eat my steak blue so the quality of meat has to be good or it will be ruined. Also have to have decent chefs to cook a blue steak properly. Fish is amazing and menu is exceptional without over complicating things.
It is expensive so my wife and I reserve it for our anniversary each year so as not to risk ruining the night by trying an unknown place and risk disappointment. But I have to say I've paid similar prices and been massively underwhelmed at other venues.
Staff are amazing. Anyone who has had a bad experience with them I would point the finger at the customer (some people only go out to be disappointed).
I'd recommend it to ANYBODY for a special occasion
O. K. F.
Great food and vine. Open late. Kitchen closes at 1145
j. d.
Amazing food and wonderful attentive and friendly staff! We went specifically for the mussels and they didn't dissapoint! The food was fantastic, I couldn't fault it even down to the bread!!! I will deffinitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and family!
M. T.
Worth every penny. The seafood was so fresh. Was a great evening even though we had to sue outside for half an hour we were given a nice glass of wine and ended up with great seats on the stalls overlooking the street.
E. D.
The food we had last night at Randall and Aubin was great, apart from some under-seasoned clam chowder, however we did have some issues with the noise. I think that when you are spending that amount of money on a special meal out with your in laws everything about the ambience of a restaurant has to be perfect. We couldn't hear each other talk over the booming house music being played - after asking for it to be turned down they obliged but turned it up after about half an hour. I find this is a technique of getting people to eat quickly to increase turn over which, when you are paying so much for the food and wine, isn't the most hospitable.
Saying this, the food was great and the decor lovely.
D. G.
I don’t quite understand the stellar reviews. Perhaps coming here on a Friday night for food was a mistake. The service was almost non-existent after the first glass of champagne and oysters, then the appetizer and main dishes came out all at once and then our second round of drinks came 20 minutes later. The oysters were sloppily shucked (quite a bit of shell) and the breading on haddock and chips was heavy and underdone and the chips lacked color and crisp. Won’t be coming back here. That said, the drinks, wine lists, and music are good.
P. C.
An excellent seafood restaurant that has stood the test of time. If you don't like seafood, no problem, they have other excellent choices. To say the staff are friendly and the service is good is an understatement. R&O takes it to another level. No reservations, which I love. You need to queue in the street to get in at popular times, but the staff serve you drinks while you're waiting.
V. V.
As usual, very good indeed. Staff and service delightful, and food is marvellously reliable. Had the bouillabaisse on a cold day and should have reordered it immediately. Unpretentious, classy, just watch that bloody step at the door, still catches me out after a decade.
A. F.
Love love love R & A. Food great atmosphere great and the best staff anywhere.
K. K.
The food is great, the lighting is good, it has a candle lit feel to it. The music selection was soft and gentle but was a bit loud. It made having a conversation difficult. It is a small space that is well managed. I enjoyed my visit there and more importantly the person I was with liked it very much!!
A. L.
Food, music, service fantastic. So this has quickly become a favourite in London for me (having a slight shellfish fetish). Staff genuinely helpful but not constantly in your face. Fantastic seafood. Good atmosphere created by lively background music. Relaxed. 5 stars!
J. K.
Very petite and and vibrant place with cosy atmosphere. It offers very delicious and fresh seafood. Some dishes are slightly overpriced (tuna carpaccio),portions are not big but all the food is nicely presented and served. Service is slow considering the size of the place. But I definitely recommend visiting it as the food is really good.
L. A.
On this last visit, on a Thursday night, tuna was served overcooked, to the point of murdered - twice - making us late for our theatre show because of how long it took for them to attempt to serve a half decent fillet that is remotely pink inside. The worst fail at rectification of really bad mistake I have ever observed. Besides apologies, no adjustment to the final bill was made. My starter scallops were THE smallest scallops I have ever seen in my life - really, I would have been embarrassed to serve something so poor quality in my establishment, leave alone at that price! At first when they came out I thought that they chopped up scallops with bacon etc for some bizarre reason, and put it all back into the shell, to quickly realise there was just one of them, and that the minuscule white in the shell was the whole and only scallop! The most disappointing dining experience at R&A in 11 years of regular custom, definitely rethinking its continuance. Oysters were terrific as usual, as was the service, special mention goes to Alesia, just wonderful. Perhaps next time, if there is next time, I will just stick to oysters and champagne as usual. Overall a disappointment in dining department, I don't recommend for anything more than oysters and drinks.
K. G.
A true favourite of mine... the food is, in my opinion, outstanding, and the quality has never dropped in all the years I have dined here... the staff are great and always very attentive. It does get exceptionally busy (which is testament to how good and how popular this establishment is) so either book or be prepared to queue and wait... but either way, you won't be dissapointed
D. R.
Nice Little Seafood Spot on Brewer
I had the fried haddock and chips. The fish was pretty good and the chips were decent, but the fresh tartar sauce was the real highlight. Aside from that, I enjoyed the atmosphere, thought they had a good selection of beer, wine, and other cocktails, and the service was excellent. All in all I would recommend it.
R. T.
A cosy and vibrant restaurant with incredible food. Super friendly staff, interesting setup, be sure you're happy to mingle! You can't book evening meals, so get there before 6 to ensure you don't need to wait. Thoroughly recommend the clam chowder and Orkney scallops!
H. A.
Fabulous. Excellent and well-priced seafood. There is no table booking in the evening, so you may have to wait - but it's well worth it. The seating is cosy! But that adds to the overall feel. If you like seafood, this place is a must.
n. c.
Many visits we have taken this Soho joint. Love the atmosphere love the fish and love the decor. Small busy great vibe. Get a front bar seat for bit of weirdo watching out the window if you can. See you there!
D. d. C.
Lovely welcome and service, relaxed and attentive at the same time.
Good choice of wines by the glass and brilliant seafood.
Save the crab croquettes lacked...crab and spices.
But we had a heavenly late lunch, on a quiet Monday. HOLS!!
c.
So good to be back I love this restaurant, food, service and it's good to be remembered when you go back. Great ambience and I love the music too.
I have been eating here for 20 years and it's my favourite restaurant. It's Rocks!
J. W.
Had a wonderful late lunch here. Lovely room and very attentive and professional service. Our tagliatelle with langoustine was as good as any pasta I've ever had and the lamb main was perfectly cooked with expertly prepared side dishes. Can't wait to go back
L. S.
This restaurant offers fantastic French food; seafood (including lobster and oysters), rotisserie chicken, steak etc. I have gone twice and both times the food has been excellent. We had crab cakes to start which were light and flavoursome, and lobster and steak for mains. Both were cooked to perfection. They have a great selection of wines and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The chocolate creme brulee for dessert was absolutely divine.
The space is amazing- it used to be an old butcher and they've retained many of the original features. The decor is pretty hilarious, complete with a large disco-ball in the centre of the room and thumping dance music, which can be an odd soundtrack whilst you eat the refined French food.
It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. With a shared starter, two mains, a shared dessert, and a bottle of wine it came to about £40 a head (including service). It's a popular central London restaurant and you can't book so get there early (before 7-7:30) if you don't want to wait an hour+ for a table.
A.
Nice food but overpriced. The service is adequate at best yet they slap a 12.5% service charge on the bill. We paid £83 for a meal for 2: cheap starters, average mains and no desserts, with the house red, sat on a breakfast counter. They didnt refill a glass or do anything to warrant the costs. But for Londoners, maybe this is acceptable. Wouldn't go again
M. M. J.
OMG, what not to say... amazing food, fantastic staff, cosy yet sophisticated setting, wicked music, perfect location too!!! I enjoy a great time every time I go.
Also, I NEVER liked oysters, though one of the waitresses has now converted me. Thanks! 😍 I'm looking forward to seeing you all soon. X
M. S.
Nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and helpful, good selection of wine, and the seafood was really good - oysters, calamari, crab cakes, lobster and halibut were all top notch
W. L.
The only fault with this place is the wait and no reservation rule. Came here for lunch after a failed attempt the get a table for dinner the night before. Seated quickly for lunch and the merry begins. The food was of generous portions and so amazingly beautiful. Everything seafood was fresh and yummy. The staff was friendly and quick. Would highly recommend.
M. K.
Looking for a place that has the delicious seafood in town… This is it! If you like seafood, you'll surely love this place. Food was presented well and the taste is delicious. Their specialty was out of this world, very delightful. You can pick one of their best dishes in their menu’s lot of options where you can choose.
The service was adorable, together with the atmosphere. It is surely the place to take someone to treat.
j. p.
Best fish restraunt ... Banging tunes great location perfect service trendy eating with quality vibe . Popping flavours .
S. D.
A Soho institution. Walking in here to fairly loud 70/80's disco music and a glitterball seems a bit odd, but works and creates a bit of a party atmosphere.
Emphasis is on fish. I decided to go with the specials which sounded good. Starter was a seafood pot, which contained mussels, clams, squid and a giant prawn in a spicy tomato sauce with garlic bread at £12.50. Main was Roasted hake, with rosti, vegetables and a butter sauce at £19.50. Both were excellent. With a glass of wine and the very nice service, the bill was just over £40. Good quality fish doesn't come cheap. You can eat for less, or if you like oysters and lobster etc, a lot more. There is some meat dishes, although nothing for veggies or vegans.
A great place and I'm looking forward to my next visit.
A. M.
I've always loved fish and chips but I have to go to a decent place like this to get a quality portion. The chips are crispy, not too salty, just right; fish is crispy on the outside with a smooth, soft inside. Just lovely. They have all sorts of offerings so you may find it hard to choose from. I can guarantee though that everything is delicious.
M. D.
If you like fish or seafood don't bother going anywhere else in London. This is the standard to which other restaurants need to be judged. A little noisy on the other hand, the music could stand to be quieter but then it wouldn't be the same! Note that they don't take bookings for dinner (they do for lunchtime). This is a policy that I wholeheartedly approve of.
R. D.
Good atmosphere! Lovely fresh seafood and choice of other food too, like chicken and beef. Staff were attentive. Prices average for central London. Overall, good experience.
L. W.
Amazing food and excellent service!
S. E.
Great food and wine. Very helpful staff
J. V.
Great atmosphere and fantastic seafood.
J. D.
The atmosphere is absolutely charming — marble tabletops, subway tile, a small space, and gentle lighting. The staff were extremely kind and the food was refined. I’ll definitely return!
T. O.
Great service & fantastic food all in a wonderful atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone
J. C.
My childhood friend from Reading decided to pay me a visit and I wanted to take him to some nice and classy London restaurant and Randall & Aubin was at the top of my list. It was busy as always (Thank God we had a reservation), but we had a great time either way. Great food and excellent service there's nothing more you could wish for.
N. G.
Good food, slightly confusing decor.
R&A is part of a small national chain specialising in unadulterated seafood (in other words, apart from offering battered fish with chips and peas, this is classic cuisine that hasn't been near a deep fat fryer). There's a good range of options on the mains, including reasonable choices for anyone who doesn't want seafood. The main attraction is the seafood platter which was being eagerly devours by half the diners when I ate there. I opted for hot food: langoustines (one of the daily specials) and sea bass with stuffed peppers and potato & fennel gratin from the a la carte menu. The langoustines were delicious - simple but delicious, albeit a right mess to eat. The sea bass was also well prepared, with a lovely gratin on the side although I didn't pick up much fennel. I opted not to have dessert as the choices were quite limited, but I'd go back to try more of the main menu.
U. O.
The restaurant has a no booking policy at dinner which means it can be difficult to get a table. We were lucky enough to get seated quickly though for dinner.
This was the second time I have eaten here and I have thoroughly enjoyed both visits.
The food was delicious and not too rich- I had grilled seabass, with a spring onion &rosemary salsa served with curry dusted potatoes, my boyfriend ate Bouillabaisse with mixed West Country fish, spiced croutons & aioli which was delicious!
We also indulged in desert of baked vanilla cheesecake with caramel & salted caramel ice cream and classic sticky date pudding with toffee & ice cream. I would definitely recommend the sticky date pudding!
I have knocked off 1 star as we were initially charged for a second bottle of wine (although the waiter did take it off our bill) which we didn't order and we were seated next to the door which made for a cold and drafty seat on a cold wintry evening.
A. V.
Amazing sea food, great atmosphere
p. t.
Without doubt one of the most enjoyable meals I have ever had. Wonderful ambience, excellent service, brilliant staff and food cooked in front of us.
K. G.
Luckily, I went to Randall and Aubin with someone who has been there before - we thus knew that it's worth turning up before 7.30pm in order to get a table without having to queue.
The restaurant has a great vibe - really buzzing. I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic date as the music is loud and the clientèle aren't usually shy either!
Service is friendly and efficient and the food is everything you would expect from a specialised fish restaurant - I had the sea bass and it is easily the best I have ever tasted.
Located in the heart of soho, this is a great place to get an early supper before going to a show in the west end.
O. M.
This little gem in the heart of Soho is exactly where you want to be rain or shine.
Cute and with a lovely ambiance, the service is top class and the food is amazing.
E.
Wonderful night out. Been coming to this restaurant for years and it doesn't disappoint. Treat yourself to the seafood platter!
K. L.
Friendly staff, good food (affordable and delicious seafood, try the calamari as a starter!). The place is also very fancy with music (not really cosy though). Nice music and atmosphere. Would no hesitate to go back.
J. U.
Love this place, s great venue for a pre or post theatre supper. Lively atmosphere and simple but good food, lots of fish options. Only downside is that it's not possible to book in the evenings and there can be a bit of a wait for a table.
j. M.
Great food, service and a really engaging vibe. The whole experience is very uplifting and always leaves you wanting to come back for more. Special mention to the manageress who is always very attentive and a great credit to your brand.
T. P.
Wonderful place, with a special atmosphere. Enjoy great food, lovely wine and fab service. Quite often your find yourself meeting people on the counter next to you 😊
i. V.
Very stylish, and trendy place to eat. Fabulous place to eat fish! It also has a lot of history to it aswell! Not cheap, but it's well worth it for a treat especially if you love seafood.
N. S.
One of my favourite restaurants. Even if the food was bad I would still come tor the atmosphere and the wonderful wait staff. However, fear not, the food is real good. I demolish seafood platters everytime. Highly recommended!
S. C.
Superb food, great atmosphere and switched on staff. Cannot wait to go again.

I miss coming here .
Fantastic seafood
Great staff
Great buzz !
You can’t book , but they will serve you wine while you wait outside , what could be better !
Hope to get back there soon .
A. C.
Has been in my top 3 London restaurants for as long as I can remember. The Soup de poisson is just perfect, especially with a nice bottle of wine. Guaranteed good times!
A. N.
Went here for my birthday. Went for late lunch, so the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed rather than hectic. Had the fruits de mer platter along with lobster, both of which were fantastic quality. The service and presentation were excellent too.
If you like seafood, this place should be on your list of restaurants to visit. #SohoSavvy
P. S.
Nice place to meet with friends and you won't even know how sanitised Soho has become. Very good food, great, personal service. Definitely should be on your impromptu locations list if you feel like a spontaneous dinner and drinks after work.
N.
We got there at 23:40 on a Saturday and they still served us. Food was brought to the table quite quickly. Both pasta and pork dishes were very good.
E. K.
Fantastic food, especially the grilled tuna. Great price for quality of food
A. M.
One of my all time favourites in Soho. I could eat there everyday and never get bored.
H. S.
Buzzy, trendy hotspot in the heart of Soho. Our party of 4 was quoted a 30-minute wait, but were seated within 15 minutes and were allowed to order a glass of wine and a cocktail while waiting outside. Food was excellent (steak frites, pan fried sea bream), service prompt and friendly for what is a VERY busy place (I wasn't sure which wine to order, and the waitress brought me two different ones to taste.) One star docked for the thumping, deafening disco music - I don't get it. I don't mind loud restaurants but could barely my dining companion from across the table.
X. R.
Had a half lobster grilled with garlic&butter, the lobster was perfectly done, very tender. A good place to grab a dinner after work, however the sitting condition can be tricky sometimes that you need to squeeze yourself in to the seat, apparently because it is popular.
J. G.
It is one of the most unique dining experiences that I ever had! They offer huge selection of seafood’s. Really delicious and freshly cooked. Best spot to all seafood’s lover’s like me.
D. B.
Great seafood and great vibes!
S. T.
Nice food. Relaxed atmosphere. Toilets not as bad as some reviewers suggest. Bit miffed that automatic service charge of 12.5% added for 2 person group. Would definitely return when back in area.
R. H.
Stunning food and atmosphere. Lovely staff too
D. C.
I've been coming for 20 years and love the food and atmosphere.
M. C.
What a delightful Resturant. Not over priced yet fresh quality food in the heart of London. I loved the original features in the Resturant. It’s small and intimate but well worth a visit. Recommended.
C. M.
Lovely service and beautiful food, I SHALL be back
A. P.
Great atmosphere, service and most of all, food!
Great to be back in a restaurant with real buzz
K. D.
Must visit Fish bistro in Soho. Friendly service, great food, fun atmosphere.
S.
Love this restaurant, friendly staff, good drinks, and love the seasonal special menu of theirs.
K. s.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Even the wait for a table was made better with a glass of wine. Cannot fault this place. Will definitely be back
P. O.
Excellent food and very friendly service
F. A.
Our favourite hidden gem in London. We have visited many times. Great service, amazing food, brilliant atmosphere. Highly recommend!
M. T.
excellent oysters! Staff is super friends and attentive. I little too busy and at times, a long queue to get in but to easy the pain the serve free bubbles while you queue!
M. G.
...super time, food and wines were superb...
J. H.
I can;t recommend a place that reflects the culinary vibe of Soho better than R&A. Amazing seafood selection as well - recommend the lobster, soup and calamari. Definitely go before 7.30pm to avoid the queues. Nice relaxing environment to catch up and eat with love ones and colleagues. Recommend you head to a nearby gelato establishment - gelupo or scoop for dessert - after your hearty seafood feast. Soho has a lot of offer and this place is certainly top on my list.
m. m. G.
couldn't believe there was a wait of 45minutes which at first I thought was abit much.. Drank drinks outside ... table came .. good service and friendly and attentive.... the food was amazing ... great list ro choose from and good wine. Great seafood spot...lovely
L. J.
The service and food was excellent, pukka flavours,,but the chocolate fondant didn't match up to the the mark, the time allotted between each course was good, thankyou for a wonderful meal.
l. m.
Incredible seafood restaurant. Visited for a birthday meal and loved everything about it. Staff are fantastic, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Will definitely be back
J. C.
The restaurant is one of the best in London. it offers quality seafood which is always fresh and delicious. It is appropriate for family evenings and special occasions. I recommend it to all the seafood lovers.
M.
Excellent birthday lunch here. Staff were very accommodating and the food was exquisite. A bit expensive but that's what you pay for good food in central London, I guess.
R. J.
Great sea food great service , and fantastic restraunt, great wine selection and very affordable value for money, the window display is for me the attraction , and only gets better once your inside and seated , went their last night for the first time and without doubt will be returning
G. A.
The more you visit, the better the staff get to know you, and the better the dining experience. The food is always exquisitely cooked and the wine list is varied and smartly chosen. Highlyrecommended.
C. M.
This place used to be a buchers a long time ago... they kept some old tiles on the walls,
some meat hooks... and the music is upper and happy !!! A big mirror ball hanging over the "good vibe" of the restaurants and the waiters are amazing cool guys and girls with a fantastic sence of humor.... By the way, very good fish, lobster, oysters,....
M. A.
The food was great and service excellent. My only complaint would be the lack of space. We were sitting so close to another couple we kept accidentally elbowing each other. I enjoy having some music play during dinner but at one point it was so loud we were shouting at each other
A. P.
Brilliant food, well cooked. The staff are really helpful too. The only reason that I'm taking a star off is for the music. Loud, pounding, and intrusive when you are trying to have a meal...
A. A.
Our favourite place in Soho. Ever. Great food, fantastic staff and a vibrant, sexy atmosphere. It's mainly seafood, especially Lobster, but you can also get great chicken. Go, just go.
E. M.
AMAZING, the staff are so friendly and the seafood is amazing. We had the seafood platter and what an experience!! would definitely recommend and shall definitely be back.
S. N.
Fantastic ambience, service and food if you don't mind queuing to get a table. Well worth the wait. I'll definitely come back to try other dishes!
P. _.
OH MY GOD - I thought I had died and gone to tiled heaven - a good friend took me to this restaurant in London and we ate so much amazing food and drank so much beautiful wine. The waiting staff were witty and the banter was awesome - really made our evening :) I WILL BE BACK.
D. M.
Lovely seafood platter. Nice environment and nice staff.
É. L.
Nice food and good service!!
M. S.
Fantastic food. Have to go again.
M. M.
Just the best, been eating here for 20 years and it's such a part of soho, an institution
F. L.
The best food and staff worth 10 stars - great to see it open again
S. P.
Really friendly staff and delicious food, so much to choose from and it's all delicious from our experience. Docked one star as it was really noisy sat in the middle, but that's probably not always the case.
B. H.
Went for lunch as a couple, really enjoyed the atmosphere and the great choices on the menu, French inspired British, or perhaps French inspire American? Great quality and service.
A. W.
Great seafood and good service. Enjoyed the atmosphere too. Is a perfect location for a quick meal before a show.
F. A.
Worth the wait (while drinking outside).
Oysters, crab and scallop for starters. Lobster, sea brim and stake for main.
Could fault none.
Great atmosphere and good service.
L. L.
The food is delicious and the waiting staff are very helpful and pleasant. Great location to people watch.
J. D.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service and amazing wine. If you want to impress someone, or you simply want some delicious food, R&A will not disappoint
P. E.
Absolutely beautiful, eaten at a few top fish restaurants & this by far was stand out, I had the platter & my friend had the lobster, can not fault the place, very highly recommend.

Best seafood bistro in London, with amazing ambience and staff. Service is great and food is worth queueing for. We always come back to this gem....

Excellent scallops dish, very nice burger, and very nice staff. Kitchen is slow but we forgive them
R. B.
Nice take on a French inspired seafood restaurant. Music can be a bit over powering but at least it is lively. If they have skate wing as a special you should try it.
A. F.
The service has become much worse over years that I've been visiting this place. We haven't been served half of the drinks we ordered today. Later we were told they changed shifts. Is this a customer problem? And the food is too salty and bitter. Never again sorry R&A
N. R.
It was really nice food. Just a little bit expensive for what it was.
P. K. A.
My girlfriend enjoyed it, she likes cold seafood, but I'm used to things like that being grilled. Had a nice albariño wine to accompany it though.
C. H.
One of the best restaurants in London. The food is spot on, as is the atmosphere and the service. Definitely go here if you're in Soho!
H. I.
Great seafood restaurant in the heart of Soho. Best oysters. The staff are friendly and helpful. Lively atmosphere and welcoming. Highly recommended.
T. C.
Simply the best fish/seafood restaurant in London. Best food. Best wine. Best staff. Best vibe. I would choose this over any restaurant anywhere.

A mist visit London restaurant. Perfect for a special lunch in Soho
R. W.
Fantastic attentive staff, food in our humble opinion was excellent. Can't think of a reason not to go. Will be visiting the Manchester restaurant now (cos we're Manc's).
A. M.
The food, as always exquisite. Service a little off today, although very busy. Would still absolutely recommend.
V. A.
Food excellent good service I am obviously getting old music way way too loud otherwise would have been 5 stars!

R&A is such a top place, their service is always great and the important thing that one would expect from a restaurant ..their food, simply fabulous. The hostess SuSu is lovely and manages a great team.
B. H.

Amazing fresh seafood! Service is awesome as well. Really was a 5 star experience.

The place has a disco ball... What else is there to say?! Waiters are nice and the chefs prepare great sea food: the grilled sea bass is good.
C. W.
Always like it here, they're accommodating and the sea food is fresh and tasty. I like the tiled decor and how you can sit and watch Soho go by...
K. R.
Food and service was exceptional. Venue great and atmosphere. Price wise it what you should expect for a niche restaurant in Soho. Loved it.
M. F.
Some of the best seafood in London can be found at this unassuming spot on one of Soho's iconic streets - Brewer Street. Randall and Aubin was originally set up as a french butcher in the early 1900s and one of the things I love about this place is that they've retained many of the bits from the place in it's earlier life. The tiling is original and you can see a lot of bits and pieces like the butchers hooks sitting comfortably with the bling bling mirrow ball. A treat!
A. T.
Great staff. Great food. Popular place so expect a queue at peak times!
M. M.
Best atmosphere, brilliant and friendly staff, fantastic chef. Feels like you've been going there all your life.
N. K.
Just one of the best places in London to go for some amazing food, music and service. Casual dining at its best if there queuing outside hang in there its worth the wait...
A. L.
The only positive thing was the ambience. The food was subpar and coupled with price makes it even worse. Staffing was pretty bad. I had to ask them to take off the optional service charge because it was that level of bad
H. H.
