Reviews of Reddoor
A tea and coffee place in small street of cutty sark or Greenwich market. Accept only cash no credit or debit card accepted here. Service was not good and we got wrong order latter on changed without cost. No restroom here. No public parking.
lovely chap who runs this place with a nice homemade feel. gave me and my friend a hospitable welcome and a free hot chocolate as he mucked up the order for someone else. bringing it back to the grassroots community feel. keep It up cousin!
Very strange to read a negative review about this place. Perhaps posted by individuals who have never worked in a cafe, or by those who say they want to support original, individual ventures but in truth expect and want the ideology of Starbucks, Costa etc. Anyhow, I`ve managed many such places, and I can tell you this is a gem, a true original, with the staff and vibe to match. Of course everywhere has there days when they are up against it, that's life, but my experience was composed of great strong black coffee, thick gold on top, just as it should be. Strong, quality coffee! A brownie from heaven, one of the funkiest music selections I've ever heard played in any cafe, soulful surroundings, and all of it presided over by a Scottish guy with wild hair, an individual? Yeah. But he was working the whole thing, clearly someone who knows how to do it. Is this a place for those who want the time-coded, clock-punching emptiness of those places mentioned above? No. For those who truly support the originals and want the experience that accompanies it? YES. Go with it. A must.
Cute little coffee shop. Had one of the best carrot cakes I've had there. Coffee is good and relatively inexpensive. Great, friendly staff.
Worth noting it's cash only.
Very nice & cosy place. The staff is extremely polite and make you feel at home. I liked the hot chocolate with almond milk. They also served delicious sandwitches and cakes... I would strongly recommend it.
Great place to relax and eat. Friendly staff, chill vibes and - most importantly - one of the best sandwiches I've had in London. I got the ham, cheddar and basil bagel, which was toasted and flavoured to perfection. It was so good that I immediately wanted another and was greedily eyeing up the avo+humous ciabatta my visiting mother had bought (thumbs up from her as well). I got a large almond latte to go; it was pretty good, just the right strength, and came in a generous size cup (like a chain store 'medium' - not the typical 'artisan' thimble). Will definitely come back.
Great little cafe serving excellent coffees and teas. But the cakes are without doubt the major factor if you are going here. Small, compact but huge in personality and character.
The cutest little cafe down the lane, really nice coffee and amazing cakes! Lovely chaps running it, very welcoming and cosy.
Best cafe in Greenwich serving Monmouth Coffee.
Mismatched furniture including old cinema seats.
An LP collection in the back that you can put on the record player. Some absolutely amazing records in there too (from both ends of the spectrum).
If you're lucky you can catch the fresh scones arriving (still warm).
The only place in Greenwich for true coffee lovers.
Had one piece of cake pot of tea for 2. Raspberry cake wasnt pleasant at all. Tea was great service excellent. Price just over £9.00!!
A nice little resting place. Friendly and helpful staff. We were not rushed. Lovely cakes on offer.
Interesting old style “grandmom” living room experience. Great tea, good cakes. One star down for not shiny clean dishes (I had to clean my cup before tea pouring).
But worth a visit!
Edward was so friendly and served us wonderful berry cake. Amazing atmosphere. Quirky and quite wonderful. Do visit.
I was not that impressed by this cafe. The coffee maybe was the only good thing about it. It was nice and fresh but there were a few things that drove me away from the place. The service was slow, it was too dark inside and the bathroom was not in the greatest condition.
Really nice and snug coffee shop, very homely feel and welcoming owner. Good range of cakes too.
Well priced food in an expensive area. I won't lie, the food is borderline ok/standard but for a cafe just off Greenwich Market you can't complain with those prices!!
Great value for money! Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and high quality food. Service was quick and the banana milkshake was absolutely wonderful! Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Greenwich!
Very glad we circled and came back to this place when the crowds had thinned. Leonard Cohen, delicious cake and coffee, fab, friendly staff, cosy, quirky decor - what's not to like?
Excellent tea and cake. Friendliest and funniest staff I have experienced so far.
And an eclectic playlist to boot.
Very nice & cosy place. The staff is extremely polite and make you feel at home. I liked the hot chocolate with almond milk. They also served delicious sandwitches and cakes... I would strongly recommend it.
i like this cafe. It's cozy and i can feel comfortable, arty atmosphere. Great tea.
Flute music, on loop, suggests a “Wickerman” in the living room atmosphere, service splendid, would recommend the team consider inclusion of salad dressing/ butter for bread.
Lovely little cafe (little being the operative word) serving delicious tea, very rich hot chocolate and the cakes looked lovely. Wonderful soundtrack and great banter. Quirky and perfect.
The most relaxed, cosy place in Greenwich. Great tea, coffee and home made cakes.
Fantastic food, great coffee, and the owner's banter is second to none and this is one of my favourite places.
Boutique cafe where the owners and workers think about their customers and their culture. Always delicious. My first choice in Greenwich
The cakes were amazing , the hot chocolate was great but the cappuccino was just ok. Great service
Do not miss the ambience of this quirky Greenwich café!
Eclectic music, superb food, coffee and cakes, including many vegan options
Great atmosphere to relax and enjoy good coffee. Good range of amazing cakes and some great sandwiches.
Charismatic service. A unique café well worth a look if you need a break from all the goings on in Greenwich
Loved it. Great cake, great coffee and a relaxing place to unwind...
Lovely cafè, staff are lovely and so was the endless amount of coffee
Delicious carrot cake and spiced chai latte :) very friendly waitress!
This is a delightful independent cafe on a quirky side street entrance to Greenwich Market. The decor is full of art and even chandeliers and a moon-scape light shade. The tea and cakes are great, tea served in traditional metal tea pots. A small menu means they concentrate on quality, and my friend loved her carrot cake. Recommended.
When I was studying in university of Greenwich I made a project on this cafe in marketing class and the teacher was really pissed lol .. But that old man has xcellent coffee in his shop :)
Great little coffee shop. Delicious cakes and a unique atmosphere
It's my favourite Sunday morning spot. Great coffee and a friendly, quirky atmosphere.
I recommend popping in for a cup of tea and a sit down but stay for the entertainment that unfolds infront of your eyes. Worth a visit!
Nice little cafe with good drinks and tasty snacks. Staff is kind and friendly.
Very lovely friendly staff, made sure we were seated and attended to would definitely recommend!!!
Beautiful. You have to experience it for yourself.
Great service, nice guy, good coffee and food. Nice atmosphere, cosy place.
Great cozy place with one of the best coffee grains available in London (Monmouth)
What a wonderfully iconic Greenwich cafe! A must go place to embrace what it is to be in Greenwich!
I popped in to this lovely little shop today and didn’t have cash with me to pay for my coffee. Nowadays, I only pay by a card. The gentleman who served me was ever so kind and and offered the coffee to me on the premise that I will return at a later time to pay. I will definitely be back. Thank you 😊.
Beautiful cake and great coffee and tea options.
Nice place, ok coffee. Nothing special.
Cool place - great vibe to sit and chill if you're around Greenwich.
Best carrot cake I have ever had 👌👌
Try a soya milk cappuccino. Divine! Lots of options for vegans.
Little gem in Greenwich. Music and atmosphere really takes you away 💚
Decent coffee in a cosy place. Friendly staff
Pleasant enough. Good hot chocolate.
Excellent cake and cosy atmosphere.
Great little cafe lovely people
The minute I entered this cafe, I thought it was an unreal experience. Completely different to watch coffee chain made me used to: no logic interior design, random layout, random ornaments. It was then that I realised this was the magic key of the place and i started liking it and feeling at home.
In a world were everything is standardized ("what would you like? Have in or take away?") this cafe has a character and this is thanks to the people who work there. Just living the moment as it is.
Delicious Cakes and Sandwiches, friendly service
Nice coffee, bit cramped as very popular,!
Nice cup of tea and cake.
Camberwell carrot cake is a must😎
Fun place
Best carrott cake ever!!!
Quirky and interesting, if a little disorganised
Love it nice owners
Brilliant socks :)
Nice cappuccino
Found this place while looking for a "proper" tea shop in Greenwich, thanks to Google maps. They have an interesting selection of teas, which they serve in cast iron tea pots. I can recommend "the tea with no name". The cakes are also excellent and they had three vegan cakes. Really friendly and chatty staff.
Great little place
Cosy as heck
Charming owner
Super staff
I often stop by when I go for a walk around Greenwich Market. It's not particularly modern, but it's a very British cafe with just the right amount of inconvenience. For example, the drinks you ordered came out late. However, even though it was busy, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere, and the coffee tasted good. The carrot cake was too sweet for me and the chocolate brownie was delicious. It's a good place to take a break after seeing Greenwich Market.
A pretty little tea room with a cozy and quirky decor. Good scones with cream and jam and very good Earl Gray tea. Impeccable before or after visiting Greenwich.
So cozy!! Extremely charming!! Sandwiches made to order with fresh products. Super good homemade cakes... All served with smiles... A suitable musical background... What a great time!
Very charming cafeteria and very delicious homemade cakes. Small and only accepts cash
A nice place to have tea and some excellent scones, located in Covent Garden
Nice little coffee shop in Greenwich. Tasty cake.
Love this tiny mini coffee shop in Greenwich.
They have really vintage seating arrangement and love the way it’s lighting is done.
It’s a must visit if you like vintage decor and great coffee with home baked cakes.
I always try there spice chai latte It’s just yummm.
They have collection of good herbal teas.
Must check out this winter
Great Guido, nice chat and fabulous atmosphere. George & Michele

We discovered this little gem yesterday. Immediately fell in love with the place when I heard Scott Walker being played...followed by Jeff Buckley. Where else do you hear such great music in a café these days? On top of that great coffee, such delicious cakes and super friendly staff.
Love this hidden gem. One of my favorite hideaways in London. Cakes in the window (get the carrot cake - they’ve won an award for it and it’s the best one), Monmouth coffee, hip and cozy interior, and the owner treats you like family when you walk in and remembers regular visitors.
