Reviews of Rowley's Restaurant
J. C.
Had read great things about this restaurant, so as we were staying in the same street we didn't want to miss a chance to try it out.
The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable when we asked them any questions and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming.
It was busy but food was delivered quickly and we did not have to wait long at all.
We had the rosemary baked camembert to start which was fantastic, and then the Chateaubriand which was cooked just how we like it (although if it was just for me I'd have had it slightly more pink). We even got a complimentary glass of prosecco.
We will definitely return as had a fantastic experience.

Food was good but service was a little slow, we had to wait just under an hour to receive starters and then another hour after that for mains. We encountered a few issues; cutlery was missing for a starter course, our jug of water was forgotten, we ordered 2 MR fillets one of which came out clearly overcooked, and we had to remind them of the sides that we ordered but didn't come with the rest of the food. All the issues were rectified and a MR fillet was re-cooked. For an average of £50 per head I would expect a little better overall but the ginger haired waiter was great throughout.

It was such a lovely night with Rowly’s. We ordered a Chateaubriand to share (with unlimited fries). It’s cooked nicely. I think the blue cheese butter sauce is a bit heavy but it matched with the beef pretty well. I’d suggest to provide a few sauces so that we could dip it into different ones to find our favourite combination.
The service was exceptional. They were very attentive. I appreciated they constantly update us how long is the wait for the Chateaubriand.
I think we could come back again with a group of six friends. I am sure we will have a good time here.

Unlimited fries are served because the entrecôte is minuscule! Good service but poor value overall.

Absolutely sublime evening at Rowley’s. The staff were delightful and attentive, and went out of their way to make it a lovely experience. The food was exquisite, we had the chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection (medium rare), and we made the most of the unlimited chips! Delicious desserts (panna cotta & chocolate fondant) and wine too. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
A.
The food was exceptional, especially the beef and the staff very good indeed. Only reason for not getting a fifth star was that the lights were a little bright and some areas just needed a bit of a clean/refreshing. Would still thoroughly recommend though.
R. R.
Busy but kindly found us a table despite the lack of reservation. Lovely shared camembert to start and mains were equally delicious. Excellent bottle of wine and friendly service. Couldn't ask for more

We had a magical time at Rowley's, the staff were wonderful and very attentive. Interior is beautiful and a retro feel. Food was delicious and the steak was cooked to a tee. Thank you to all the staff for making it a beautiful night in every way.xx

Was having a lovely day wandering around fortnum and mason, then along jermyn street when I noticed this lovely restaurant.
I thought "why not" and gave it a try.
Staff where excellent and friendly, the food and wine was fantastic. They have kept some of the charms of the original old butcher shop which added to the nice atmosphere.
Will definitely re visit and get some pictures of this lovely establishment.

Glad to return to one of our favourite restaurants. Original core steak menu seems to have been expanded to cover alternative dishes, (must appeal to some visitors I suppose 🤭) but high standards of food, wine and service maintained.
L. A.
Interesting smart restaurant in the old Wall's sausage shop! Beautiful original tiles!! Although a small menu, there is a mix of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Good wine list. Lovely staff creating a very relaxed atmosphere.
C. P.
Old-worldly place. Really good to see this place was busy and bustling as it should be. The chateaubriand was tremendous, while the accompanying fries were moorish. It is a great choice if you want a classic restaurant which serves up first class food.
P. L.
Possibly my favourite steak here? Though I’m not sure if it’s just the nostalgia. Great little restaurant and so picturesque. Try the chateaubriand! The steaks are always done right and while I’m not very interested in the rest of the menu, the sides and desserts I’ve had have also been good. Would have given it 5 stars, but the last time I was here, I was running a bit late and they were apparently a bit rude to my friend who arrived before me?? Very strange. But I do plan on coming back when I’m in the area again so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lovely place, excellent food and friendly attentive staff. We were there for a birthday and it was a great evening. Steak all round and couldn't fault it at all, served on a heated tray over a burner so we just helped ourselves and cooked longer if we wanted. Delicious.
M. B.
The unlimited fries are amazing, one of the best I've ever had. The filet chateaubriand is really good, with some herb butter and tomatoes on the side. They put in a small fire on your table, keeping it warm. Wine list is small and expensive for what it is. Lovely service.
F. M.
Went here on an OpenTable deal/discount. The chateaubriand was good, the fries were good, but honestly, nothing to write home about. Staff people were polite and helpful (The italian guy was quite friendly) and the place wasn't bad per se, it just felt too traditional, a bit old for my liking.
If I hadn't had that discount I would've felt ripped off.
M. W.
Rowley's is "the" place for meals and drinks that taste as good as they look! House special steak is still special to me after many visits over the years. Berry Brother claret and French peas are top notch, too.
嘤.
Had the amazing côte de bœuf with 40% discount. Beef was cooked beautifully. One veggie side and unlimited fries.
J. E.
Great steaks. Very efficient service. Not cheap, but quality food so can't grumble. Recommended.
H. F.
Beautifully cooked entrecôte steak, delicious starter and dessert too with wonderful service. Will definitely come again for a lunch meeting!
D. R.
Beautiful restaurant and a wonderful côte de boeuf.
The service leaves a little to be desired - I felt we kept being forgotten about a little bit and at one point had to go up and remind them I was there.
But for what I was there for- a nice piece of steak and a generous portion of pommes frites, it really didn’t disappoint and I’ll definitely go again. Well aged steak with a range of flavour, beautifully cooked.
A. P.
Food was great and so were staff, but went down in my estimation when I heard tips did not go to the staff. Bad form.
L. M.
Lovely quiet atmosphere, stunning decor, friendly staff and delicious food. Would definitely recommend for a quiet dinner for two.
T. U.
Love coming here but I do not understand why the waiters do not get any of the 12.5% service charge that is added on to the bill?? Basically adding 12.5% tax on, seems very dishonest as you should tell the guest upfront none of the service charge goes to the staff. always take off and pay cash tip to waiter.
T. E.
A pleasant up scale restaurant. Interesting decor in a reclaimed Victorian butcher's shop. Imaginative dishes. Decent wine list featuring an excellent Loire Valley sauvignon blanc. The mid range claret is best avoided however, and the Rioja Crianza is new wave, so disappoints. As with all West End restaurants, the wines are heavily marked up, and if ordered by the glass, are served in tiny 125 ml measures.
D. L.
Ordered the white bait and chateaubriand... Perfect! It also came with unlimited fries. Nthe fries were freshly fried and tastes soo good with their signature butter and blue Stilton sauce that you will want to come back for at least 2 rounds!
V. V.
I came here quite often before Covid, then I went during, after lockdown, and it was okay. The fillet steak, butter and fries were still the same but that’s because they have the same chef’s, as always the food did not disappoint, absolutely delicious! . However, their small wine menu was utterly terrible! Not only was the choice poor, but the wine was not good. I did ask why the wine menu had changed so drastically and it turned out management had changed, and they are trying to shift the wine they bought before getting in better wine, turns out i wasn’t the first to notice. The mark up on the poor wine was slightly annoying, I didn’t order any wine but my friend did, i did try some and yep disappointment, he didn’t enjoy the wine either. Your customers will come back, but they won’t return if you try and rip people off with a poor choice of wine with high mark ups, people are happy to pay for quality and really don’t mind the price tag to go with it, what won’t go well is charging high prices for poor quality wine. I hope this has changed since, as I love this place. I will come back at some point to see..... fingers crossed the wine menu is at least half the decency before COVID.
I will be happy to turn this back to a five star review, as when i went in early 2020 it deserved at least that! If you are there for just the food then it’s 5* all the way! but the wine and food is the experience for me.
J. D.
Well cooked chateaubriand, unlimited fries, lovely wine
T. G.
We came here for our first meal out of lockdown and it was fantastic! The atmosphere in the restaurant was so warm and friendly, our server (Eric) was so attentive and able to answer all the questions we had as well as recommend dishes to us. We happened to get chatting with the manager Adrienne who was such a gentleman with great knowledge of food and wine.
The food!! The food was delicious, we shared the chateaubriand which came with chips and the most delicious Roquefort butter sauce. It was served on a hot plate in the middle of the table so if you wanted certain bits cooked a little longer you could. You could tell that the meat was of a very high quality.
For desert let’s just say it was the best Sticky Toffee Pudding I have ever had!
You have to visit this restaurant if in london, it is great food, great wine, friendly not stuffy atmosphere and lovely staff!
T. B.
Ok I had been calorie counting but gave up after the gorgeous baked Camembert, & Nduja cold meat platter. Friendly service (they’d run out of bottled beer so sent out for more - that’s good service in my book!).
M. H.
We went to Rowley's this week and had an absolutely first class meal and were looked after by the staff and the manager Adrien superbly. Very comforting and traditionaly stylish room decorated sympathetically with a very warm feeling.
We were given tremendous guidance on the food and what wine with pair with it and it was excellent value. Perfectly cooked chateaubriand was the highlight and the sticky toffee pudding for after was the perfect way to round off a wonderful evening. Will be going back soon.
Thank you Adrien and team for a great evening.

Steak and chips. Simple and unfussy service in a crowded restaurant. Does what we needed.
A. d. B.
Lovely restaurant in Piccadilly. Really enjoyed the chateaubriand steak! I can't wait to return.
D. T.
Unfortunately we were rushed through our visit due to an evening function. Also they forgot part of our meal dusappointung
A. S.
Steak, delicious fries (in American, chips for Brits) and just an amazing butter sauce. If you want a beef experience in London, go here.
A. K.
The best steak I ever had and amazing chocolate dessert
T. M.
Used to be great. Last visited late 2019 and things were off; higher prices, poor service and cold food. Our waiter told me that the last crew all quit together and the new staff had to learn on the job, but wouldn't say more than that.
P. M.
Very tender steak and bottomless chips. What's not to like?
G.
I am finishing my dinner as I write and must say I had a great evening. The food was nice and the service is really great, we had Francesco taking care of us and he was nice, professional and had a great smile for everyone. Happy I had dinner here, with an atmosphere so nice I will be back.
D.
Wonderful restaurant! We attempted to make a reservation but they didn't have anything available until 22h which is just too late for us. We decided to walk in and try our luck. Man, were we lucky!!! We were able to get a table immediately but the next group who walked it were not. The wait at that point was 45minutes. By the time we had our warm goat cheese appetizer, the place was packed. Even though it was busy, the service was amazingly quick. Pretty impressive with only a host and two servers.
The food was wonderful! I had the entrecote steak and my wife had the carrot soup and the risotto. We finished off the night with sticky toffee pudding. Great meal, great place, and super friendly. We will have to return on our next London trip.

Rowley's is located on Jermyn Street and it is only a few minute walk from the Piccadilly Circus tube station.
A personal favourite restaurant for many reasons, the welcoming and home-like atmosphere of the restaurant and the attending staff members. I used to enjoy the lobster or crab fishcakes with salad as starters but it no longer is on the menu. The aged filet steak with the flavoursome Rowley's Roquefort Butter sauce is a classic. As all steak lovers know that blue cheese and steak is a match made in heaven and this Roquefort creamy butter sauce is just mellow and filling. The dessert I highly recommend is the Eton Mess, only available during the hot summers is a refreshing delight!
D. G.
Used a Groupon here and had a very nice steak for two with a bottle of wine, with a side. Steak cooked well and tasty, good sized portion. Cauliflower was tasty and staff were keen to offer more "unlimited" fries whenever empty plates were seen - didn't need to ask. Came at 5:30 so definitely caught it before it was packed (though it got busy quickly).
B. A.
Once again excellent food and service, well worth dropping in,
Super.
C. F.
Amazing staff and food. Simple but elegant décor. The classic menu is short but menus perfected.
A. F.
Don't get me wrong, the food was excellent. But not for the prices they are charging. The restaurant has a slightly cold atmosphere but the staff are excellent. You would have a very good meal but there is something slightly off about the atmosphere that I cannot out my finger on. Personally wouldn't return but others might have different experiences.
R. C.
This is an expensive tourist venue. The service was good service and they had fine cuts of fillet and lamb. A meal for two (with a two for one voucher) plus the cheapest bottle of red wine (£32) and one dessert came to a total if £92. This was a fair price for the food, wine, service and decor but would not be worth the full price so the voucher is a must if we go again.
A. Y.
Still the best after so many years in the area. Generous portions of food. Fries with free top up. I have never seen an unhappy waitor/ waitress there. Amazing place and will always go back for a lazy Friday lunch.
A. D.
Great food and service!!!! Surely will go back and do suggest it!! 👍🏼
O. M.
Booked last minute on New Year’s Eve! Me and my girlfriend had traveled from Norwich and were very lucky to have stumbled upon this restaurant, very smart and welcoming staff, considering the busyness. Amazing food! The best steak I have ever had. A* all round.
T. S.
Too long wait for food to arrive and did not accept cash. Food was ok .
M. S.
I went as part of a party of three and it was busy but we still got a seat instantly. Nice old fashioned decour.
The food did not take too long and was excellent. Very good food where nothing is terribly fancy or complicated but the quality of the ingredients and attention to detail was top notch.
With a glass of wine a first course and a main it will cost around £35 maybe less and I thought it was very good value for money. I cannot speak about their dinner menu however.
D. H.
Fabulous decor, underwhelming food. Over-priced but good location. Their signature dish is steak served (drowning) in butter that is delivered on a platter over a burner, accompanied with French fries. If you don't eat it quick it keeps cooking to well-buttery-done... Go for a look at the interior rather than the cuisine.
E. B.
Awesome steak -- went for the entrecote option and it was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. My friend tried the lamb and said similar. They also know how to cook things rare which is a big plus. Wine was also great, and I found the service to be impeccable -- they were both attentive and reasonably friendly.
The time we went (mid afternoon on a Sunday), it was a bit empty -- but after the hustle and bustle of London, it feels like a refreshing bit of breathing space. It's not cheap, but the prices are reasonable given the quality of the food.
A. L.
Hands down the best steak in London
I’ve been visiting Rowley’s on and off for the better part of the last 10 years and while it isn’t cheap, you really do get what you pay for.
My recommendation- order their house specialty and the house red and you will not be disappointed. The way their blue cheese and garlic sauce melts over your steak as it cooks at the table, accompanied with their infamous unlimited fries really does set the bar in terms of quality and flavour.
More recently, they have been partnering with deal sites to offer very good discounts, so this may be a good route to take if you want to test the waters on a steakhouse that isn’t your home favourite just yet- though I promise you, it will be soon.

One course with wine (two or three glasses) marks 60 to 70 pounds. That is, 70. The place is well kept. Certainly better than the horrific pub food. Buy 70 quid for an almost fast food place... it is a rip off targeting tourists, pretty much like the rest of the Central London theme park.
E.
Nice place, I guess is a bit of Nostalgic feeling of old times!
A. N.
Food is delicious. Service was perfect, the team is friendly and efficient. Thank you very much Adrian and his team we had a lovely lunch.
J. D.
Disappointed tbh.
The steak (really small) and the chicken were delicious, but the place was noisy, staff did not volunteer any information about "Dishes of the Day" and were really not that bothered about customers, lots were craning their necks to catch the eye of staff. It wasn't that busy either, so no excuses there!
We were not offered more of the "unlimited fries" until we had eaten everything, and who wants to sit there with a plate of string fries?
And the bill...serving staff DO NOT get the automatic service charge according to our waitress, so tip them separately as we did, but two mains, two puds, two coffees and a carafe of "house wine" at £100 even with a free main voucher ....Rowley's you are having a laugh.
N. G.
A hearty meal with good steak and unlimited fries! But it's worth trying to leave space for dessert - the chocolate bombe was delicious (although it very nearly finished me off after binging on fries beforehand). The interior is cheerfully old school but well lit and the service is attentive without being overbearing.
A. H. L.
Food was really good and nice location. But the staff could be more focused.
G. P.
Beautiful food, amazing service! Highly recommend the Paté starter- best Paté I have EVER had! Didn't have others experience of "begrudgingly" serving unlimited fries. They very happily served them to us and offered them frequently without intruding on our meal. It was Valentine's day so very busy - but they have laid it out well enough that I didn't feel overwhelmed with noise. Expensive of course as it's a fancy place. £170 for sharing the starter, chateaubriand each (most expensive steak on the menue £38pp) sharing a pudding, bottle of prosecco + 2 extra glasses and bottle of doombar beer. But we will definitely go again (price included gratuity) Perfect for a special occasion!
A. G.
Great restaurant, nothing to complain about.
A. B.
Excellent service at a London institution. Old fashioned menu of steak, chips and sides. A little pricey for what you get, but friendly, professional service and historical decor.
W. L.
If you're into grill/fry/roast meat, this is for you. No fancy decorations just simply presented plate of food. I had an entrecote steak simmering on a slow cooking pan of garlic butter on a stove by the table, and a end less serving of chips.
C. H.
Steak to die for attentive waiter. Made us feel welcome and comfortable.
J. R.
Fantastic atmosphere lovely food, wonderful friendly staff .. loved it!
M. M.
This restaurant is famous for steak. They put the steak on a heated pot in front of you and add some cheesy sauce which melts on steak. Not the best steak I've ever had but it's still good. They do several servings of fries. Starter is quite small.
M. D.
The food was fantastic, bottomless delicious fries, steak was cooked to perfection. The only negative was the price, but this is super convenient location and so you have to expect to pay a premium.
W. H.
Rowley's is one of my favourite places to go for a posh steak and chips with my dad when we are both in town. Its traditional, smart, relatively relaxed and they serve one mean steak - always perfectly cooked.
Just round the corner from Piccadilly Circus it is conveniently positioned close to the West End. Its not the cheapest place is the world but I think worth the price - good for a well deserved treat once in a while.
The staff are professional and attentive. I am a fan!
J. C.
My main beef (wahey!) with the restaurant is the pricing structure. Everyone is aware that you can get their chateaubriand steak to share for a significantly reduced price if you have a snoop around online, so why price it at just under £70 on the standard menu? It's way too expensive, and you only get around three slices of steak per person.
Whilst the steak was pleasant and well cooked, you can get a bigger steak at Hawksmoor for the same money. A lot less money in fact, if you've not printed your voucher beforehand, and are paying full whack.
Sauces were all good, especially the Roquefort butter. The Forman's salmon as a starter was delicious. Chips are unlimited, but very average by today's high fries standards.
Staff were pleasant, but not busy enough to look keen or interested. The lack of any music in the restaurant means that the meal lacked atmosphere. With the money that's being charged for full price steaks, I'm sure they can afford to pay for a solo musician, or even a bit of background jazz.
The restaurant itself really looks great. It's a shame that parts of the experience don't match the great decor and history of the place.
S. T.
Not bad with a voucher but I'd be disappointed if I had to pay full price! Had a good time, but mainly down to my company rather than the restaurant. It's meant to be one of those Mayfair 'institution' places but it felt tired and had a slightly deflated atmosphere. The room has some gorgeous features but despite be pretty much empty, we were seated at back of the restaurant, which is darker and less pretty, right next to some a couple of suits finishing off a business meal. Would have been much nicer enjoying the mirrored wall features and some natural light in the front of the restaurant. The waitress who seated us looked bored and couldn't bring herself to even 'fake' smile, oh dear. We were excited to see Foreman and Son smoked salmon on the menu, which is a proper quality east end smokery, but it was served without any garnish (the smokery's own restaurant serves it with capers, shallots, creme fraiche), so looked a bit sad on the plate. Our chateaubriand tasted pretty good but was a stingy portion for 2 people to share, especially if it was full price. Also, it came with a roquefort butter but our waitress didn't tell us when we each ordered additional sauces. The fries are unlimited but aren't that amazing that you'd want to stuff your face (the Honest Burger rosemary fries are!!!). I felt we should have ditched the voucher idea, sucked up the extra money and just gone across to Hawksmoor Air Street which is a super sexy restaurant with amazing staff and the most delicious steaks!
A. D.
An elegant and cosy restaurant near Piccadilly Circus, a mix of old world charm and modern standards. Staff are very attentive without being noticeable - perfect. . Both of us had the xmas Chicken special which was very good. There is only one rose wine but by golly it's a good one.
B. t.
Lovely, tender côte de bôeuf, generously sized. Little Gem salad is recommended, and the fries, in abundance, always well cooked. This time we opted to pay the corkage and bring our own wine. Service charge is on the original value of the bill, and while ultimately, one is paying for the service and other things, this charge is very high. That said, with a Groupon voucher and no wine, this is good value for.money for a quality piece of beef in London
H. W.
Wonderful atmosphere and good service. The food is as good as you would expect for the price, although if you can, get hold of a Groupon voucher. Highly recommend for groups of 2-6. Very close to Piccadilly Circus tube station.
A. B.
The staff is really nice, attentive and I love the dish selection. I enjoyed a quiet January afternoon by myself at this place. Will definitely go back again.
P. G.
Can't believe they sliced my cote de beouf in half. Is it because I ordered medium rare? Meat was flavoursome though. By the way who cares about unlimited fries? Service was friendly .
R. S.
A very pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, and good quality food at a reasonable price - the steak is particularly recommended. I shall definitely be returning.
R. K.
Absolutely lovely food and good wine. Ok its not cheap but you certainly get velue for money. Steak fantastic. Chicken fantastic. Chocolate bomb outstanding. Really nice building and atmosphere.
J. O.
I loved the whole look of this restaurant from the entrance to the tiled dining room it was lovely. The food (we had the Chateaubriand & the tarte tatin)was delicious and plenty of it. The service was excellent , we will definitely be back.
S. G.
Food was very good. Reasonable prices. Chateaubriand for 2 at 45£ with sides included is a good offer. Excelent service.
F. C.
Had a fab date night here with attentive and friendly staff, great chateaubriand, delicious dessert. A warm, welcoming and very satiating experience!!
j.
Nice steak , but house wine very poor and manageress made a fuss about replacing it with an alternative! Didn't really make sense as we paid extra for the wine yet refused to pay the service charge which was higher in value?
J. M.
Great service, delicious food, great wine. Remember to put your fries in the pan with the steak and garlic butter so you soak up all the juices.
L. B.
This place used to be amazing, one to go to but since they've changed their menu to just fish or steak I've noticed a huge drop in guests which means that there really is no vibe at all.. a real shame because it used to be really good fun. But great if you know you either want meat or fish!
M. H.
Very friendly and also nice place. The meet was ok but not what we consider as Chateaubriand and with cold Bernaise sauce ist not worth the price. All in all, we will not go there again.
G. (.
Oh how Rowley's has fallen.I think I can speak confidently on this; I've been going to Rowley's for about 5 years now, and were I writing this 5 years ago I'd be going off the wall about how the place is fantastic, the service blindingly good and the food sublime. But I can't. For whatever reason, Rowley's has enjoyed a decline (queue tactical use of oxymoronic statment). Mostly in service to be fair, the food does still taste really good, but bad service can really screw with the overall experience.A good example is the unlimited fries thing. I'm not a glutton, but the first few times we went here, the second your fries were done there were more on your plate. It was a passive thing that you had to stop if you were full. Recently it's like the unlimited fries are only unlimited if you hound the waiting staff for more, and even then it's begrudgingly done. I really hope this is the inside view, and that i've just been on slow days recently, but i fear that this may have become one of those places near Piccadilyl circus with the price tag to match but the quality lacking.
**UPDATE YO!**
Alas, I feel I have been too harsh in my words above. We went here again this year and all the shortcomings of the past few visits had been redressed and surpassed. The service was once again lightning quick and back up to scratch with a cheeky sense of humour and smiles in abundance. The portions were back up to strength and the unlimited fries truly unlimited (light, crispy and moreish - indulging in seconds is not frowned upon!). The steak was perfectly cooked (don't forget if you like yours bleu to first give yourself a pat on the back for being AWESOME and second to take yours off the plate as soon as it arrives for fear of overcooking it) and the Rowley's blue cheese butter sauce was as decadent and ludicrously indulgent as it always has been. I would even go so far as to call it sexy, if you can call a sauce sexy.
I don't know why I ever marked the decor down, in fact on the basis of my previous review I must have been in a bad mood. I love the styling in here; mirror lined walls frame an intimate space lit by oil lamps on the tables and inoffensive lighting around the edges. Simple tables with clean, bright table cloths and clean implements of consumption put you at ease that you're in a classy establishment. The wine list is great too, and the malbec goes down a little too nicely!
So to top it off I am sorry, Rowley's, for ever writing you off. All your past transgressions have been vindicated. Thank you for a lovely meal.
S. L.
A traditional steak and chips restaurant on Jermyn St. Must try the steak in blue cheese butter fried in front of you to your heart's content. Wash it down with a bottle of Berry Brothers Claret. Great place for lunch or dinner.
M. D.
Although the food was good we didn't feel it was that special for the price. The drinks were also very expensive!
Service was excellent.
M. L.
Decent place to eat. Food was nice and generous portion.
Groupon deal doesnt come with a drink, prepare to add extra for wine.
I will definitely recommend it.
J. T.
Highly recommend this establishment. Time and time again return here when in London

One of the best meals we've had in London! Yes we had a Groupon, but I tell you after the wonderful service we had tonight, amazing food and perfect service next time we're London we're eating here again!

Wanted this to be so much more TBH. Meat was nothing special. Found it overly expensive for what was served.
Staff are super lovely though. They are in fact the winning element.
Location is great for central activities.
j. f.
Really nice place, food is really good and great value for money. The service was friendly and efficient, we will go back for sure!
G. C.
Delicious, well cooked food with great service. Can be expensive, so make sure you get a Groupon or similar voucher before you go to get a big discount.
R. P.
A bit of a song and a dance about the staff struggling to find a booking to match the confirmation email, but after that the food was perfect and service friendly. Recommended.
R. C.
A lot of waiting staff not sure of what they were doing.... not remembering the orders and chewing gum. Not impressed. But food was good.
G. N.
Excellent steak although portions have shrunk, so so service, great ambience and location. Still a favourite of ours.
A. B.
One of the few places we always go back to. I love their steaks, especially chateaubriand ! Staff is friendly, special mention to Monika.

J. H.
Really liked the decor, and the place had quite a refined atmosphere, but I thought the food and the wine list were overpriced. Nothing wrong with it, just fairly poor value for money.

Groupon had an offer on the Chateaubriand

T. D.
Really enjoyable experience with excellent steak and sides all around. This place has a nice and relaxed atmosphere and is not touristy.
P. P.
Nice place but the food does not live to its standards. Tasteless burger and McDonald's kind of chips!
Not what you expect at such a restaurant.
J. T.
Excellent upmarket steak restaurant. Good quality steak, and unlimited chips on offer. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.
G.

L. N.
Loved it!!! Steak was amazing!
B. D.
Nice old fashioned restaurant, originally where Mr Walls was based, there is a service charge but this offsets the staff wages, which is low so this helps top it up.
R. K.
Food is great if a touch expensive but quality is worth the cost.excellent wine and cocktail selection
F. D.
Amazing for a late bite in the heart of St James but why does everything close so early in London....great food, good wine

Overall good experience at Rowley’s. The côte de boeuf was good. But because of the price, it’s natural to expect excellent quality meat, in this sense we were underwhelmed.

(Translated) Rowley's Restaurant is truly a different place than the many that can be found in the city. The mix of décor, signature food and kind and professional service catapult - in my opinion - this restaurant into the top positions of my personal list of "restaurants to try in London". Passed with flying colors and recommended.

Promosso a pieni voti e consigliato.

(Translated) This restaurant is a delight! Not suitable for vegetarians, it is located in an old butcher shop. The clock and wall tiles are original from the butcher shop. In the window, the wood where the meats were displayed. Definitely for meat lovers.

Este restaurante é uma delícia! Não indicado para vegetarianos, fica num antigo açougue. O relógio e os azulejos da parede são originais do açougue. Na vitrine, a madeira onde as carnes eram expostas. Definitivamente para os amantes de carne.

(Translated) Very exclusive restaurant in central London. Near Piccadilly. Local English food with good meats and desserts. The price is not exorbitant, very similar to the places in this area.
It has a lot of history.
If you see the guestbook, you are amazed. Elton John, Prince Charles… and a lot of people like that.

Tiene mucha historia.
Si ves el libro de visitas alucinas. Elton John, Prince Charles… y mucha gente de este estilo.

(Translated) I usually order a lamb lamp for the first time, although this is the Lori's steak, which is the menu menu for the shop.
It is a very soft, juicy, odorless shop, and I realize that it is a shop that has nothing to lose, no matter what you eat
