Reviews of Rüyam Turkish Restaurant

Went in with me sis & kids and were seated straight away and given menu’s as well. Very spacious and wasn’t too busy. Was given a few complimentary starter dishes and the mains we ordered was a sharing platter for 4 ppl but we struggled to finish it and we were a table of 5. Flavours and everything was super, we absolutely loved it and portion sizes were great too. Had Turkish tea ☕️ (would be rude not to☺️) and got complimentary sweets to go with it. Staff members were lovely and polite and atmosphere was nice too.

BEST!
Amazing food quality and superb staff!
We had our Anniversary party with our family at their restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food quality was awesome!
Honestly their menu offers a huge range of food, the price is also quite good according to their food quality.
m.
The food was amazing so was service.got complimentary sweets which was nice. To make up for the wait time they gave bread and checked on us regularly
S. K.
Lovely, beautiful restaurant. Great service, absolutely delicious food, abd price is good
i. m.
i had a company annual gathering here and it was amazing (if you go with more than six people you should ask for a reservation before hand) the bread was amazing and went so well with the sauce. the platters are filling and have a lot in them such as chops ,ribs ,kebabs ,chicken Tika and wings complimented with Turkish rice and a delicious couscous (don't worry the Tika is not dry at all)
drinks you had a nice variety I had the normal mojito and a strawberry one the normal one (lime) is better and the strawberry one comes out a bit slushy
dessert- If you still have room for desserts I recommend the ice cream and not the cheese cake as I was put off by the jelly/jello on the top layer as well as it was hard to cut
choices of ice cream is flake or Ferrero rocher and they are nice but are made before hand so to have to wait a bit for it to be enjoyable
hosts and staff-
they are very hospitable and friendly they will try help you as much as they can
E. P.
Excellent dinner. Popped in for one of their speciality main courses which was delicious and generously supplemented by a varieties of freebies including salad, fresh bread, Turkish delight and mini-pastry. Staff were great. Highly recommend if you are hungry.

I have to recommend this place, saw it on You tube & thought check it out, I noticed on the 1 side of the menu, it had won an award for BEST SHEEKH KEBABS a couple of years back, believe me - The Lamb Sheekh kebabs were awesome - something special they were. Chicken Tikka was probably 1 of the BEST chicken Tikka I've had in a while - it left your mouth watering for more. They also start you off with home made Nan bread with Houmous which was also something special. Then to top if off, they also gave Complimentary Turkesh Tea with some Turkish Delight.
This place is something special - strongly recommend eating here. I even got chatting to the owner - he came across as extremely friendly & a very Humble gentleman.

Just went in for a late night Kunufe as I was craving this for a while, amazing desert! They had loads more option too, while I was eying up the baklava for next time, the waiter packed some for me on the house, what a legend. Thank you and see you again.
S. C.
Food was very tasty and the service was very prompt too 👍🏻, a little pricey but had a nice time with family!
Z. A.
We were a party of approx 40 people and the service was superb! Staff were extremely polite and helpful. The food was so fresh and fantastic - everyone really enjoyed it! There was lots of complimentary starters, desserts and Turkish tea. The owners really looked after us so one place to definitely to visit again and again! 5*
f. l.
One of the best Turkish that I never had. The food is fresh and very good. People are lovely and help you to discover the specialities.
S. K.
My mum and I love the food here. Service was super quick and efficient, and the mini starters to set us off were delicious. Warm toasted bread, flavourful sauces and always, a refreshing salad. The meal itself was the perfect temperature, freshly cooked and amazing to taste. The wings I had were really crispy on the outside, by tender and juicy in the inside, packed full of flavour. The rice is always my favourite, cooked well with the individual grains separating beautifully. Not overcooked and mushy, nor undercooked.
My younger sister had chicken nuggets and steak chips which are super yummy, and my mum has the mixed doner. Though slightly salty, the greasiness has definitely gone and we finished it all down to the plate.
M. I.
Decent restaurant with a good menu and many choices. From the usual as expected a Turkish dishes to many specialist kebab dishes. The starters we had were very nice. Calamari, Halloumi, lachmachu, prawns and the cold mezes were all tasty. The calamari were amazing. Melt in the mouth softness. For mains we had chicken pide, number 3 platter
And sea bass. The food was generally nice. The chicken pide was the least flavoursome. No specific taste which stood out.
Generally the service is very good and a relaxing place to have a meal.
M. u.
Food was okay price a bit steep if I’m honest but that’s normal for Turkish restaurants now days they are not cheap, rice was a bit dry and plates could have been presented with a bit more detail in terms of maybe adding some salad with the mains to make them look nice, we did get salad and freshly baked bread as a starter which was free and that’s what I love about these Turkish places but a bit extra salad on the plate would have looked nice and doesn’t cost much, however staff were very friendly but they were a bit forgetful so for those reasons I give it a 4 star
J. O.
Good food, friendly service and substantial portions. Some of the best fresh bread and hummus. Special shout out to Vicki who was super.
M. A. R.
Good food and reasonable service.
Shared a platter between a group of 4, which went down well and with plenty of food to spare! Platter had a variety of meats and price was reasonable as well.
Seemed like a nice family orientated atmosphere with both privacy and openness.
N. S.
Service is friendly. Food is super tasty and very filling portions. As customary, Turkish tea after the meal is great. Mocktails are tasty! Recommend the lamb chops!
R. R.
Very good service overall. Food quality is tasty and well cooked not over or mid. Which was perfect for us. Arranged a small gathering of 34 for my daughters birthday. They gave us their whole downstairs room. That was well privatise with excellent service from them. Definitely recommended.
C. L.
Having been here servers times, this is probably my favourite Turkish Restaurant! Portions are adequate, meat are fresh and tender, and there is always a big plate of complementary salad. Staff are friendly, price is good for value. The reservation system perhaps needs a bit improvement - shouldn’t it at least allow online reservations from website?
A. G.
First time dining in, now under new management with minimal changes to the menu. Huge portions, polite serving staff, friendly manager. Would return.
M. H.
Food is usually really nice but on my last order (takeaway) I found the food to lack in quality overall. The chops were too fatty and the wings over done. We had two portion of the same white rice but one was really good, the other plain: no flavour! I wonder how is that possible. Overall meat quality was disappointing with the ribs and chops having too much fat on them (and I’m bot being difficult).
S. U.
Would recommend. Friendly welcome on arrival and shown to table. Service was great and food was great too. I went for the mixed grill and no problems at all. Priced reasonably too.
J. A.
Fantastic authentic Turkish food. The lamb and chicken doner is made fresh and you can tell. Full of flavour and great portion size too. Outstanding.
F. C.
Food is amazing, it comes in big portions and the quality of the meat is very good! Staff is very friendly too. Totally recommended!
J. J.
Always a pleasure to visit and dine there. Great food and service. Waiters are always nice and welcoming. We always go for the platter which is nice and tender and the kids love the meat/chicken
S. W.
Lovely restaurant with nice decor, food was fresh and delicious. They have a lunch menu which is good value for money. The chocolate baklava was tastiest I've ever had. Would definitely recommend.
А. D.
Bit pricey and some of the starters are just canned food, but the meat options are fresh and tasty. Would recommend for delivery. Nice client treats includes such a s soft bread and nice small salads.
I.
Friendly people and had great food here. The only complaint would be that the portions were too big.. Yeah so that can't really be seen as a negative thing 😀
D. E.
Wow, what a nice surprise. A few feet away from the Holiday Inn in Whitechapel, we found this delightful Turkish restaurant. Sytilishly decorated, with lots of Turkish accents, the fare here was excellent and reasonably priced, with first class service to boot. Fresh ingredients all around, our four dishes hit the mark and spot in more ways than one.
A. A. R.
When you write a review you have to put things in perspective. A 5 star review in a restaurant in the outskirts in London it’s not the same as a 5 star in a 200£ restaurant. In few words the food was good, the service was super fast, and I spend 15£ for a starter, the biggest main course with 3 different type of meat, 2 sparkling waters. And the food was good and a lot... I love to eat bit I was barely able to finish all the food. The hummus was great.
E. M.
Tasty food & friendly staff! One of the best places to eat Turkish food in London! We had a lovely long dinner and no one has rushed us to leave. Really enjoyed the atmosphere as well! 👌😊
T. H.
Can never go wrong with Efes, I've been going there for years. If there's a group of you, I would recommend going for the platter to share and some Lahmacuns (Turkish pizza) for starters.
S. A.
Customer service was ok but not upto standard had run out of rice which is the main dish served 🤔
J. S.
Polite staff. Well designed interior. Wonderful salad. Amazing starters and mains. Highly recommended if you don't mind weighing an extra 5kg of pure indulgence
V. B.
Go and eat at Efes immediately! It's DELICIOUS! It was recommended to me by my Air BnB hosts on this trip, and they were so right. Really friendly staff welcomed me in, no one made me feel weird that I was dining alone, and right away a beautiful salad and some bread and dips appeared. I had the aubergine and lamb kebab and it was beautiful - it had a good portion of rice with it, nice range of veggies, and an amazing sauce of some kind. Just beautiful food!
D. C.
Great food at a reasonable price. I was not expecting the complementary bread, salad, petifors and tea! It ended up being a bit much for a lone diner.
A. C.
Excellent customer service and professional staffs, fresh and delicious food.
A. B.
Complimentary tea, bread and salad. The mains were great too, alas they were out of liver. Very friendly service. A lot of room so it does bot get overly crowded.
L. G. T.
Great food, had a birthday party there on Saturday, booked the downstairs, does get super busy on the weekend nights, parking is hard to find but trust me the food is great and a little pricey, but service and food is great. £11.25 for about kebab and chips.
L. A.
Highly Recommended to me by a friend in the apartment I stayed at, The meal I ordered was cooked perfectly and gorgeous, definitely one of the best in Whitechapel good and fast service and Polite staff! And amazing portions for the price I paid
A. S.
The food was excellent and up to standard. Reasonable prices (all of which are affordable) and generous portions offered for each plate. Reservations can be made and this is a great place for groups to dine at.
L. L.
Really good music, really nice place, the best service and the best food! Definitely going again
W. T.
Friendly staff, food was really good with authentic flavours and the portions were quite generous!
A. A.
This was the most amazing experience i have ever had at a Turkish Restaurant 😍. The food is fantastic and the service is amazing. I asked for sugar cubes and it came in no time! Would recommend and will come again.
Thank you
L. T.
Loved how clean the place is. The food is fresh and delicious. Get the chicken schwarma! Ask Said for the "good" olive oil for your salad vs. what is on offer at the tables.
I. B.
Very nice. Lamb well cooked. Staff were excellent. You should visit
M. U.
Great friendly atmosphere, service, staff and food amazing...always get looked after..everytime I have been really enjoyed. Reccomend Ruyam!
S. B.
Excellent Turkish food! The staff is very welcoming. Your food comes out super quick. Everything is delicious here! Also they serve you Turkish tea on the House. I highly recommend going to this place.
S. C.
I liked this place: it was bright and friendly, plenty of young staff around if you needed anything and good food served on a big platter. Not too pricy either. My friend has to avoid dairy and they were happy to separate sauces with milk or whatever. The tea isn't served in silver pots/cups any more though. Easy to get into if you are on crutches/wheelchair, I didn't go to the loos so no idea what they were like. The bit I remember most was leaving funnily enough! I have a blue badge, so I parked in the little alleyway beside the restaurant. When we came out, I was blocked in by 3 cars, but the restaurant rallied the customers and staff to have the owners move so I could get out. It was all done with smiles and waves rather than scowls. :-)
c. b.
Delicious food, been going here for years manager lovely staff lovely and very accommodating literally one of the best food I’ve ever had in my life
A. M.
The best place ever!! People súper nice and food is delicious!!. Seriously, they have the best hummus in the world.
A. K.
It's really fancy and I loved the food and the bread.☺☺🍗🍗🍚🍚🍩🍩
L. C.
Friendly, fast service and even better food. We ordered a box to go of Doner Lamb, which came with rice and a salad, and it was so good we went back the next night to get a box of Doner Chicken to go. It was a large enough meal, my husband and I were able to share and both felt satisfied. We also ordered some plain and chocolate baklava. Both were wonderful but the plain was our favorite. We sat and ate at another location a third time during our visit to London. Bread and salad are placed on the table before you even order! Hubby had the chicken soup and I had a tomato and mushroom pizza. They were both delicious!
G. S.
Highly Recommended to me by a friend in the apartment I stayed at, The meal I ordered was cooked perfectly and gorgeous, definitely one of the best in Whitechapel good and fast service and Polite staff! And amazing portions for the price I paid
D.
Lamb shish with yogurt sauce is delicious. The portion is big enough to feed two people. Cigara borek is also recommended.
P.S. Takeaway prices are lower compared to eating in.
a. b.
Amazing food quality is great. The service is on point and fast. Cant complain at all.
M. L.
Good service, nice food, massive portions, would recommend sharing.
V. G.
Friendly staff and fast service. I've definitely enjoyed the food and at the end you get a Turkish tea from the house. I will definitely recommend this place. I can't wait to see you guys next time. Thank you
R.
Very tasty food. Would give this place 10 stars if I could, meat was cooked to perfection. And the customer service was outstanding. If you in the neighbourhood I would recommend If you like well cooked food
N. N.
The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was super friendly as well. Authentic Turkish food.
K. R.
Awesome foods here.. Been eating here since thay opened up..
S. L.
Very nice restaurant. Everyone was do accommodating and treated us very well. We bought 2 massive platters and everything was tasty, in particular the lamb chops, ribs and wings. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
S. C.
Very good, has fresh bread baked in restaurant. Very good food, enjoyed. Thought service charge was a bit too much
a. p.
Taste is awesome, Nice staff. simply superb, specially I loved the dips.
K. A.
We went a group of 16. We were served well. Had quality food. Well done...
J. W.
Good food, you see what you get. Really friendly helpful service. Must go back.
S. H.
The best Turkish/Kurdish restaurant in the area. Portions are smaller than other Turkish restaurants. The ambience is nice and the staff is friendly.
I. A.
Amazing food, friendly staff and owner very nice person
s. l.
Very friendly staff, food was a big range, would definitely visit again
D. H.
Decent food, pricey but I think that expects in London, needs a little TLC in some places. The staff were super awesome and helpful especially with allergies.
H. A.
As a Turk I can recommend this place. Authentic flavours with traditional cooking method decent and prompt service got our meze starters soon as we ordered the mains even tho they wore heaving with customers. Averagely priced £8-15 per person for dine in is definitely not high in my opinion.
Keep up the good work guys will definitely be back soon
S. H.
Warm welcoming, indoors have spacious seating area but tables always feel sticky and not properly cleaned. Overall hygiene is poor considering its pandemic time. Food is very delicious and they have many varieties. 3 star because once you paid and leaving hardly any eye contact with customers or smile. Customer service is just ok.
H. B.
Platter more expensive than other Turkish places. Ribs too salty, not enough lamb chops per person. Waiters are really good. Clean, fast service. Nice family atmosphere.
I. P.
Food was greaf! We had 2 of these and other items for the 6 of us!
K. R.
We booked as a table of 15 but then came with a group of 10 and still they sat us in a nice spot. Excellent service and excellent food. I'd recommend giving this place a go! Till next time my friend. Jazakallah khair x
m. h.
Very nice staff food was fantastic I will be going back soon
D. J.
Great food!.....Great prices!...Great atmosphere!First restaurant visit since March! Well needed to be good. Met our expectations, still can taste the freshness and gentle seasonings which each dish had...a very pleasant evening! Defo, visit again!
P. J.
Decided to go here with a friend, the service was amazing and the food was terrific.
T. N.
Very friendly, attentive and quick service. the foods are delicious. Prices normal...
J. K.
Pleasant staff and excellent food and menu. Pick up/takeaway is convenient and they have sensibly cleared space inside for waiting customers to ensure social distancing can be maintained. Orders are made fresh and quickly and taste fantastic.
A. B.
Owners and staff are very nice and helpful. The owners never stop smiling ! I wish it could be like this in every restaurant in London...
The food is delicious, ingredients are fresh, the cooking of the meat is perfect. The best turkish restaurant in the area. Thank you for being open during the crisis !
M. A.
Love the vibe and the food
H. A.
Excellent service. Great staff.. The deco is really nice.. Clean and good environment.
Food is just exquisite.. You can taste all the flavours and the quality is good.
I usually by the sea bass, one of the best serving fish I've had.
Great to bring the kids.
Would highly recommend this place.
A. A.
Went Efes for my graduation and the customer service was exceptional. The food is really good too.
S. K.
Absolutely sublime food! First time we’ve eaten here but will definitely not be the last. Very generous portions. Quality is excellent. Service is first class. Can’t wait to come back again!
D. B.
Good food, speedy service. I would recommend the chicken Iskender which is yummy. The mixed Shish kebabs are nice too.
k.
Very nice food + friendly team=pleasant evening. Thank you Ruyam!!
D. B.
It is a perfect place where you can spend a lovely evening with your family. I like this restaurant !!!
C. C.
Had a great evening here last night, so much food, all of it was delicious... especially the meat platter! And well priced too. Great service from very friendly and helpful staff. Love the fact you can take your own wine and beer, there should be lots more restaurants that allow this.
H. H.
Awesome food as always tender and delicious!
A. A.
Flavours are getting a bit dated but it's good
N. P.
Delicious Turkish food eat in or takeaway. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. The lamb doner wrap is my favourite.
Z. Y.
Usually a turkish restaurant always messes one thing up, but this place gets everything perfect. Best turkish restaurant in london
P. B.
My favourite. COVID-19 pandemic is hitting all the small shops in this area. Support your local business when you can. The food is superb and the staff even better
S. K.
Purchased some take away during this pandemic. Social distancing measures in store with tape on the floor marking area to stay behind. On to the food...ordered a Doner Kebab in a box, Meat tasted good, plenty of rice and nice bread and salad to accompany the kebab. Service very friendly and efficient. Would go again.
J. U.
Great food and great atmosphere. Used to be Efes but that's the only difference. It wasn't too busy when I went my only issue is the area we were seated which was near the place they make their bread I could feel cold air hitting me which was unpleasant however I did ask to be moved which was done swiftly. The portion sizes are good unlike some other places I have been to. I also discovered that I don't like Turkish tea at all 👀 would definitely comeback or maybe even order from here as they do deliver also which is an added bonus!
Z. M.
Best Turkish food restaurant in East London
N. T.
Great food in a very busy, family friendly restaurant. The lamb and chicken are very tasty and cooked fresh. The humus is beautiful and compliments the Turkish bread very well. You don't need to book, and you can just get a take away. Drinks are all non alcoholic. Service is attentive bit do be patient as they are busy people. Loved it, defo recommend
I. S.
Exceptionally helpful & accommodating staff. The food was tasty & the portions were generous, which made it good value for money. We had one of their chef's special sharing platters, which had a good variety of meats & salad. We also had their dark Efes Turkish beer which was fantastic! Their toilets however could do with a bit of refurbishment ;)
S. B.
Very nice meal and service was good x
R. T.
Very good services and nice food
A.
Good quality of food for a very affordable price.
Staff was very friendly.
We took one time take away and one time we ate there, both were exelent
A.
Great food good service by staff. Very affordable prices. If you're going on the eat out to help out, make sure you tip the staff they deserve it
R.
The venue is comfy, nicer chairs and comfortable sofas but the best of this place is the kitchen, the way things are prepped and cooked, very tasty lamb, juicy succulent, chicken perfectly cooked and yet moist inside. You cannot miss trying their Naan bread, their salads and sauces or dips jam-packed with flavour and if you get to be brave and aren't yet full the. You must try their baclava with pistachios and the other version with chocolate... I highly recommend this place and I'd definitely go there again and again and again
C. D.
Amazing food, even more amazing service!
N. S.
I used to live really close to these guys - having gotten to know them, I always got really good service, as I use to get take-away, or walk in on a daily basis. The food is amazing, sometimes the place is a bit crowded, but that's due to the good food! Should you run into issues, give them a chance.. it is London after all, and some of the staff changes pretty often. But again, the food is really nice, you're in-between the City and Canary, and considering the area (Bangla town) and other restaurants nearby, this place is a God-send, or Allah-send or whatever! Kudos to the guys running this place, I really miss it.
E. S.
Great food! Good size portions too!
R. G.
For most of westerners who haven't been to Turkey, Turkish food is the midnight döner you pick up on your way home from the pub. Now this place is definitely not that! You can of course get your regular shawarma but I recommend to go hard or go home. Start with some mezze and finish with some great kebab. They have their own butcher shop so I promise they won't disappoint. You get free bread on the side which is warm and fresh and we also got a complimentary dessert although we were already so full. The place has an upstairs section which is nice and has a nice view on the bustling road outside. For the best experience try to get the take on the balcony! The waitress who served us was the kindest person ever, have is a detailed description of everything and was always there with a smile when we needed some assistance. Great stuff, I'll surely be back one day!
S. K.
Mouth watering food, worth visiting if you want the real taste of Turkish food. We travelled all the way from Sutton, Surrey to have the nice food. Staff were very caring.
P. S.
If you’re a fan of Turkish food, Efes never fails to impress! I have dined here several times and it’s always been extremely pleasant. Enjoyed a great meal here last evening. The staff were very welcoming and seated us swiftly even though the restaurant was quite busy. I introduced a few friends to Turkish cuisine at dinner yesterday and they simply couldn’t get enough of their scrumptious platter. The menu is impressive ranging from falafels to doner kebabs offering something for everyone. The service was quick and we really loved the presentation of the food.
Efes provides good value for money complemented by friendly staff, lively atmosphere and delectable food. Overall, Efes provides a wholesome yet affordable dining experience!
A. V.
Wow. Great food and great value. When we stepped-in we had no idea it was a franchise. However the food was amazing. They treat you to complimentary bread and salad while you wait for your starters or main course. The portions are massive and tasty. A single main course is enough for a couple given the size. (Unless of course you're an unhealthy passion for super-sized meals )
R. C.
I came with my friends for dinner and the staff were really lively and talkative. I have come so many times and I will never regret that. I also think that the food’s price is reasonable.
S. R.
Turning into a regular visit for me, food is always on point and the service is fantastic. the food is one of the best places around here to eat, and the design of the restaurant is very nice and perturbs to the atmosphere. Absolutely exquisite grills and during Ramadan they provide salad and dates and water free of charge to break your fast with!
M. B.
We ordered the platter which came with lamb chops, kebab, adana kebab, diced chicken two different types of rice and lots more! It was extremely yummy, especially the rice- a personal favourite.
They gave us complimentary bread and dips which was nice & the staff is always friendly and polite.
K. W.
Sharing platter was the bang. Meat feast 🍖
Z. D.
Really great Turkish food in big portions! The sharer specials are especially great, but I'd recommend the Yoghurt kebabs too! It's well priced, with a very open and simplistic ambience. Groups come here from work, friends to catch up, but it's not a romantic place at all. The service was a bit inconsistent, but overall quite good.
J. J.
Great evening with great food so fresh in front of you.
Staff go over and beyond to make sure you are looked after
M.
Lovely food and friendly,helpful staff
M. B.
We were booked in to do escape rooms a bit further up the road and after some research decided to stop here. We love Turkish food. I got there a lot earlier so decided to go inside as the wind was unbareable, a lovely male waiter sat me down (gave me a choice of table), And took a drinks order, then a female who maybe was a manager or head waitress looked after us too. I think we went through all the drinks options - all good, wines, smoothies, mocktails and coffees . the cheese sticks were stunning and the appetizers were a great touch, we had various veg and meat kebabs which were all good, they swapped the rice for chips for my friend aswell. Great service, good food. Going back to the escape rooms next month so will be back, shame it's not our local or we would be there every week!
A. R.
I must be honest, the Whitechapel / Shadwell area wouldn't generally be my first choice to eat, but we went to this Turkish restaurant to celebrate a colleague leaving. I'm so glad I did - the fresh Turkish bread they serve before ordering is light and fluffy and incredibly moreish. For my main I had a Turkish Pide - a flatbread pizza loaded with tangy cheese and spicy sausage. It was absolutely beautiful and very filling. My colleagues had an array of kebabs and mixed grills, all cooked to perfection. It was great value, and the staff are very friendly (and handsome!). Overall a great evening out.
D. G.
Prices are moderate but the shish and salad wasn't up to the Turkish standard I am used to. I normally like the chilli sauce but the one I got here looked different and tasted like it was mixed with palmoil. The meat portion size also looked smaller. I don't think I'll go back as food is just average.
M. R.
Atmosphere and food is great BUT and this is a big but 😉 price is not great and quite steep, there are other competition out there that offer the same food which is as good but near half the price in some places. Either way. People are great, environment is fantastic, price of food would need improving in my opinion.
U. J.
I had a recommendation to enjoy a dinner at Rüyam. And I can assure you, I was very satisfied with the food. It was generous portions, the food tasted heavenly and they served a nice spicy red sauce to with the bread. I do not drink cold sparkling water, so I asked for luke warm sparkling water - no problem! The waiter took care of it. I would really like to recommend this restaurant. And thank you Serat for providing excellent service!
G. H.
I enjoy my Turkish platters so we had one here and it was great! Portions were huge so we had to takeaway some! Good service and food. Great location as we had desserts opposite the road at Sweet! Will be back again for the same combination
G. B.
I have visited this restaurant a number of times and always enjoy it. The restaurant itself is really nice, has an eclectic vibe. The staff are always quite nice. I have tried a few different dishes here but for me the real winners are the kebabs. My favourite is the Lamb shish. You get a lot of meat and its always cooked to perfection, a nice pink colour inside. I cannot fault this place. Any time I have a craving for meat, this is where I come.
D. M.
Set in the middle of London E1, had lunchtime special consisting of a starter and a main course. The food was good and of acceptable quality. Reasonable value for money.
C. M.
The food is awesome. Can't fault it the restaurant is as expected my only complaint was the service was a bit off and it took a while to get our bill and I had to just get someone to pay rather than wait. With that said I don't know if they normally bring it to you or if you go up after but it's an enjoyable experience with quality food. Whole beastly go again.
D. C.
Food good, but waitress had a really bad attitude. Nudged my son's elbow as he was eating and food went everywhere. Just a stern look from her and not a word of an apology. Also made a fuss when we requested another table away from the front door as it was a cold night. She should have taken the night off instead of upsetting paying customers. Also no complimentary tea at the end of meal even though their prices are higher then other turkish restaurants where they give you tea for free. Tried and tested but will stick with my regular.
M. K.
Turkish food is the best food to try in the busy part of Tower Hamlets. As a Bangladeshi myself, I don't prefer curry everyday. So I always come here to change and test my taste buds. You need to try at this restaurant. Not only that, but the waiters are excellently trained.
R. P.
Great place, well priced and they give you a decent portion of food, staff are very polite and courteous. If you are hungry it's the best place in that area to go.
Expect to spend 13 to 15 pounds before drinks/dessert, cheaper options are available if you want something light, these are around 6 or 7 pounds. Haven't found a bad option on the menu yet
S. L.
Good food and friendly staff! I can only recommend going there!
S.
Been to this place a few times now and the consistency of the food is always the same always tastes great! I often go for the mixed platter, because I like a taste of everything
F. B.
Had the best experience today at Rüyam with my 2 kids (3 and 7). Lots of goodies to keeps them happy. Salad, warm bread & yogurt sauce, fries, lollipops... And a DELICIOUS chicken shish (2 BIG skewers) and even a nice little complimentary Turkish tea to finish. I will be back!!
N. C.
Lovely friendly staff. Massive range of delicious food. They don't sell alcohol so there is a corkage fee if you bring your own and there is a Tesco just down the road you can buy some from. I loved this place very reasonably priced too.
I. G.
Excellent food and service. We came in before closing time but still got greeted in and had very good dinner. Also wanted to buy water from them since grocery store was closed and they didn't even charge for that. Thank you!
R. R.
The food here was absolutely fantastic
C. U.
We go there as family Great food and service helpful staff thanks guys
C. S.
Very busy with a massive party in the back, the waiter misheard our order because of the noise. The meze was good but the other dishes were rather stodgy and massive portions, most people did not finish (other tables too) so lots of waste.
T. W.
Used to eat here a lot. Hadn’t been for a while, but the past two times have been a real let down. Staff are inattentive, getting our order wrong both times, arguing when we corrected them. Had to cook the halloumi when we got home as it was basically ‘raw’. Just a bad experience and it feels like the price has gone up, the portion size down (bulked up with rice) and the quality of food and service down as well.
A. S.
Nice atmosphere and decor. Particularly liked the open, fully visible cooking area. Good, friendly service too. The food quality, however, can and should improve to get my five stars.
T. G.
Lovely restaurant and food is great. Prices are good as long as you don't look at the takeaway menu and see the big difference your meal would have cost to eat out. £2 for a soft drink which is ok but feel ripped off when they give you a glass and a tin of coke knowing you have just over payed for it.
N. S. P.
Fast friendly and very tasty food! If u cant finish it, bring it home.
A. A.
Great food, quick pick up when you order takeaway. A bit price but the Pide are quite affordable and quality of ingredients are very good (especially the lamb meat)! Overall good experience. My go to Turkish restaurant in the area.
S. B.
Tons of these around, these Turkish places, not bad but always feel thei lamb/chicken Sheesh is undercooked and chewy. If you're cooking it on the grill, shouldn't it come out beautifully tender? All these Turkish places are doing this wrong
S. R.
This place used to be Efes but has changed its name to Ruyam and Im sure it was something else before that lol. Anyways from what I can see same food same staff same everything really apart from the name. This is a nice Turkish food spot but I do see them creeping the price up which is never a good thing.
A.
My favourite grill restaurant! Food excellent! The complimentary bread and salad in the beginning is a great touch and also tasty. Price typical for this cuisine.
S. R.
Went there within the first week of opening. A good quality Turkish restaurant is always welcome in an area populated by curry houses. Traditional Turkish decor was pleasing to the eyes. Kebabs I ordered were very good and worth paying slightly higher price. I was willing to overlook short comings of the waiters given their lack of experience which I hope will improve over time.
l. h.
my daughter, my nephew and myself all went to the restaurant in Stepney green called "Efes" it was really a wonderful evening. the décor was fabulous. food was fantastic. staff were all so friendly and helpful. we all enjoyed the food and the whole evening was great.............will definitely being telling my friends and making plans to go very very soon.
A. G.
Food was very tasty. But quite pricey and plates are quite small too. And for those who wish to avoid places where they serve alcohol. They do have a wine card.
No alcohol is displayed in the restaurant itself.
H. K.
They make the best kebab in town no doubts about it. Just order mixed grill and you'd never go wrong. I personally prefer takeaway as it's £5 cheaper than the in house price. But honestly food is always amazing!
R. D.
Nice and simple restaurant, with great service. The best the quality of their ingredients and its beautiful flavours. The no so good, the limited menu. Great rice and grilled aubergine. There is the option of take away for a reduce price.
S. S.
Tried this restaurant on a Friday night, was very busy, no waiting area so we were all huddled by the door, was all a bit of a squeeze. In the moments that I was waiting I saw two annoyed customers, annoyed for various reasons. We waited maybe 15 minutes so not too long considering we did not book a table. The food and price of food was good but hardly competitive.
Do not order orange juice there unless you fancy some robinsons flavored water. Efes, don't treat your customers as mugs! we know what real orange juice tastes like. I spoke to the waiter about this but he wasn't interested, nor did he offer me an alternative drink. Not to mention they charged me £1.80 for it!
Service is lukewarm and inattentive but this could be because it was busy. Won't be rushing back but would not necessarily tell people to avoid.
Menus are good with pictures. Restaurant decor is average, feels a bit like a take away. They allow alcohol in restaurant, bring your own policy I think.
P. F.
We went in at 11.30pm, ordered a set menu and wasn't disappointed! Good food, amazingly savoury and moreish. The serving staff were a bit inattentive but they got the job done. Would recommend! Better than the Brick Lane branch
Y.
Best dinning experience in London so far. Exceptional service and copious dishses. On top of that appetizers, bread, dessert assortments AND green tea were on the house. Simply marvelous !
S. L.
We are from Paris. Very good meat quality we took lamb and chicken grilled. The outside doesnt look like the inside. Waiters are very focused on clients this is very nice. Service is quick. We really liked. And it is not expensive for the quality
S. 9.
Food is really good clean place with friendly crew. We couldn't be more happier with the service and the generous amount of food they served, the complimentary bread and salad are so much appreciated as not all restaurants give that. Thank you for the best dining experience. Surely going to visit again👍🏻.
C. T.
It's changed its name from efes but it's still all the same just a different owner. The food was so nice and didn't take long to be served. I will definitely go back. The waiters are very friendly and helpful there also
s. n.
We spent about 10 days in London this summer, out of which went four times to Ruyam for dinner. The moment you enter, you are greeted by a friendly staff and minutes after you are seated, there is freshly baked turkish bread and a plate of delicious salad on the table. We loved their lamb ribs, so much so that we repeated it everytime. Very good price- quality ratio, food is so clean, flavoursome.. We miss it. Please do not miss this place if you are anywhere near whitechapel.
Thank you Ruyam team for your hospitality.
Shreya and Nicolas from Barcelona, Spain
M. M.
The food is lovely. Can't fault it the restaurant is as expected my only complaint was the service was a bit off and it took a while to get our bill. The platters are well portioned and a beast to eat !
r. b.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant- could not fault it- great location right opposite the Holiday inn- lovely friendly staff- great menu all the food cooked fresh and the bread was amazing I will be back
C. o.
Great food at a great price. Was sat next to the television which was a little loud, but I didn't ask them to turn it down. Overall a great casual experience.
S. K.
Delicious food and friendly and accommodating servers. I really appreciated that when they saw we had two little kids they brought us chips and baklava at the end of the meal free of charge (on top of the usual bread and salad that comes free to all tables).
L. F.
Had a wonderful lunch at Efes on Commercial Rd today. The chefs are very accomodating as I can be quite particular when it comes to food. 😅 Everything was delicious and the service very friendly. Will come again!
B. M.
Part of a mini chain. Quality food at fair value price generous portions. Like their lunch time menu. Now charge a corkahe fee if you bring your own wine.
S. S.
It was great..the food was very fresh. The staff were very nice..we took our new baby and they were great to us ..extra half star for the free tea. So glad it has replaced the awful restaurants that used to be in its place.
I. T.
This restaurant became one of my favourite from the first try. The staff is always very friendly and the food is just delicious.
D. C.
Really good food, great value for money, seems to be a very popular place to eat. The portions for the starters and mains were very large and very reasonably priced. Be prepared to eat if you go
A. I.
I have dined here atleast 12 times. I have written pleasant things about this restaurant before. The decor, service, staff and food. However..
A recent trip to this restaurant wasnt very good. It was a lunch meal during the week. I had a meeting to attend so needed lunch beforehand. I ordered my meal at 1.30pm but by 1.50 nothing had arrived. I asked numerous times, to be eventually told the server forgot to input my order into his system!
I was asked to wait another 10 minutes.. the manager was very rude! He did not want to explain what had happened, the server did that. The manager gave me starters for free but i was adamant i wanted only what i ordered, nothing more. My order eventually arrived at 2.12pm and i get a call from the cab i had pre-booked, he is waiting outside. There goes my lunch! I asked for my food to be packed up so i can eat it later so I asked for the bill -the manager said no no money isnt needed. I really wanted to pay but had no cash so left with the food. It wasn't the nicest experience, i was starving during my meeting.. I was not happy and have avoided eating here since.
:/

If you have a special night ahead or want an intimate space to connect and you enjoy great food. I would definitely recommend a visit.
A. L.
Great taste, tender meat and excellent service. Enjoyed everything about this place, good value and nice no thrills great food service. There's not much in this area of London but Efes is definitely worth a visit.
S. H.
Friendly staff, reasonably priced, very tasty spicy food, good atmosphere. No alcohol on menu, but I saw someone with their own bottle of wine, not sure what the charge for corkage is.
K. M.
Delicious food, meat was very tender and great service. Tasty Turkish tea too, if definitely recommend.
C. P.
Great food! Not so great service but does the job (ordered a coke and waited, had to order again to a different person). Food came quickly at about 7pm on a Thursday
P. T.
"Wow"fantastic service quickly seated, food served as quickly as possible. Is now our favourite Turkish restaurant my intention is to work my way down the menu. Can't wait for a another visit.
L. F.
First of all, the service is really good. Was served by the fellow called Catalin, he was polite and smily. Got my food fast and hot. Saksuka was yummy! Lamb shish could be the best I've had in a while. All in all, good experience, I would recommend.
A. H.
Very impressed with the dining experience here. Food was top notch and affordable. Excellent table service and the staff were polite and conscientious. Will come back again.
J. F.
The best restaurant in the area by far! The food is delicious, try the lentil soup and the lamb yogurt shish. Very clean and nicely decorated. Great for eating in or for take away. It's my favorite restaurant in Commercial Road in Shadwell!
M. C.
Food surprisingly was quite tasty enjoyed the condiments and their homemade sauces... Price is just above what you expect to pay but as long as the visits aren't too frequent I suppose its worth a try at least.
B. A.
Definitely not the best Turkish restaurant I've been to, the complimentary appetisers are nice but average, kind of pricey to be honest, the chicken doner was a fairly big portion bug the shish was exceptionally small, the atmosphere is pretty nice though and the staff is polite and friendly. 3* at the most from me.
A. J.
Well priced Turkish food in a neat and clean restaurant. Big portion sizes. Different prices for dine in vs take out. The abundant staff is helpful.
R. F.
I have visited this restaurant number of times with my family, every time staffs were very friendly and welcoming and the foods are always great tasty.
F. F.
Do you want to have a great Turkish meal with even better customer service? Go to Rüyam in Whitechaple! We were served by mr. Ishmael who saw to it that we could want for nothing. We had the daily special (a chicken stew) which came with rice, a starter of freshly baked bread, 2 delicious sauces and a salad. We even received some complimentary baklava and Turkish tea.
K. H.
Very tasty food. A bit pricey. Costs more eating in than takeaway. Me and my wifes all time favourite Turkish Restaurant is still Gokyuzu on Green Lanes. Very affordable, great food too and were runners up to one of Gordon Ramseys top restaurants.
A. E.
Love the food. Service has, so far, always been great. Really good value for money especially due to portion sizes..
P. A. G.
Amazing food, served in good time. Very friendly staff and strong family environment .Highly recommend this, will defo be visiting again!
B. K. L.
Outstanding dining experience. It's a simple place, just the way I like it. Friendly staff, quick service and I could have the doner every day. The food is very tasty.
H. L.
Very friendly and good service
A. H.
An excellent place with extraordinary service and fantastic meals. I take a fancy to visit this restaurant every now and then.
A.
Best kebab in London, so far and I would advise to skip the desert... Since they don't serve alcohol, you can bring your own from nearby Tesco. Atmosphere is neutral, you make your own. I would recommend making a reservation and enjoy it by making your own atmosphere.
A. G.
Hands down the best kebab I have had in London. Also, I accidentally ordered too much salad, not realising that salad was included with the meal, and they were extremely gracious about it.
All other kebab houses hereby declared obsolete!
L. F.
Great Turkish atmosphere. Absolutely loved their Chicken doner and lahmacun. Delicious!!! The service was lovely, special thanks to the sweetest lady Luka. Will definitely come again!
A. S.
Quick food serving and friendly/ lively staff
H. M.
Excellent food and excellent customer services.
R. S.
Excellent customer service! Very quick and professional! Food was very tasty! Good job!
J. K.
Food is excellent. You get more than enough on the plate and for the price too. I had the chicken donner which I loved. Probably one of the best place to eat in the area
T. L.
Great meat cooked over the coals. That should be the reason for anyone's visit here. Further to that, service is brisk and fairly cold, but for a place that seems to serve half of east London, I guess it needs to be. If there are four of you (or three if you're hungry), I'd recommend one of their efes specials which can only be described as a mountain of delicious meat. No frills but serves its purpose.
Z. M.
Amazing food, served in good time. Very friendly staff and strong family environemnt .Highly recommend this, will defo be visiting again!
R. M.
Such a shame that the standards are dropping as we use to love eating at the Commercial Road one. No doner kebab twice? Your a Kabab house? We got there 1.5 hours before closing on both occasions.
We thought we'd try the Brick Lane one to only find my hands stuck to the tables as they haven't being cleaned properly in months.
Such a shame.
M. P.
Lovely food... great hospitality... my litlle kids love it. Will return and suggest it to my friends.
R. C.
Great food and very friendly staff. They did not provide beers before but now they do, which goes down well with their food.
I’m a regular and highly recommend it.
A. H.
Had dinner with my friend and we both enjoyed every bite. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.
K. H.
Food was amazing!!! Attentive staff at a great price. I would highly recommend Rüyam. Thank you for a superb dining experience.
V. P.
The best Turkish restaurant I ever been in and I am not even exaggerating!!The service is great and food is amazing .Highly recommend
D. C.
Tasty food, good portion sizes and all at a relatively good price.
R. B.
This Efes is great. Great service, and the food is amazing. You don't have to wait too long and it's reasonably priced. I crave their iskander everytime I walk past now! Definitely recommend!
J. L.
Had a great Turkish meal here with my family.
We all thought the food was great and the service was very good.
Decoration is very nice and restaurant is very clean looking
Well worth a visit. Oh! and prices are very reasonable
M. U.
Lovely food and nice people. Clean shop and plenty of room. 💯
T. W.
Amazing food a d service great prices
O.
Great food. Appetizer salad is very delicious and is huge so off you thinking to get a starter think twice as mains are plenty as well.
J. W.
Very tasty ! especially their chilli sauce!!!!! but sometimes stingy on giving extra chilli sauce for takeaways. Used to give two now now only one. Overall, very glad we have this restaurant around where we stay.
T. G.
Complimentary salad and hot bread hit the table before we had even sat down. The turnip and the yoghurt drink were very salty. My ravenous companion declared himself full before the mains had even been served, by that time though we had ordered more of the delicious red cabbage salad that had been offered upon our arrival.
L. 1.
I really like the chicken wings.. I think that the food delivery is fast and they have really friendly staff 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
R. A.
Nice restaurant. Good food. Clean... but what kind of Turkish Restaurant doesn't have lamb or beef shwarma! (Otherwise would have been at least 4 star possibly 5)
M. I.
quality food, good service service.
a. r.
Nice food, friendly staff.
C. H.
Very buzzy place - busy and good food!
relatively cheap, took my parents and they enjoyed it.
might be a good idea to book a table there as it was very busy the night i was there.
well worth it - i will be going again.
N. H.
One of if not THE best Turkish food in east london. Wasn't hugely impressed with take away offering. Prices of platter are a bit steeper than other competitors.
M.
People always say effes is not as good as maida grill. I have to agree. Effes is ok. Will i go back? Probabaly not. Dirty glasses wich i had to wipe down. I find it strange how they grab your glasses and take off with them when asking for top up. Why not just get a jug and pour it in? I do find the place unclean. Staff a little abrupt and untidy. Waiter touched my used cutlery and left it on the table while changing plates. I didnt like that. Food i didnt find all that. Didnt get free tea at the end.
W. A.
Good food bit pricey had mixed doner with rice only (no couscous) and salad and bread was hungry so it's cool might try again.x
M. G.
Fantastic restaurant, friendly caring staff and great selection of food including plenty of vegetarian options
C. J.
Great turkish food in a warm and central environment
W. C.
It's good but very expensive and they don't give the option to take your food home, so bring a container to put it in, if you can't eat all your food. Also meals range from £10 onwards kids meals range from £4 onwards. Overall I think it's good bit to expensive.
O. b.
We ordered a starter of a mix of 5 mezze. 2 of which were not edible... The waiter was rude and not welcoming. The hummus was good, and so were the eggplants.
K. I.
Food tastes great. However, the price is expensive . Similar restaurants are cheaper and quality is the same.
Good clean restaurant.
S. A.
Efes is amazing. It is one of my regular lunch places. They offer turkish tea in the end which completed the meal.
Efes is probably the best turkish restaurant in east London. It is very clean with extremely helpful staff. They have a lunch and dinner menu with a soup of the day. The kebabs in Efes are of premium quality. The adana is full of flavour, generous in portion. Its an award winning place and everything in the menu is full of flavour and generous in portions.
I have had turkish food in other european countries but yet to find on that is on the same level as Efes!
K. F.
I couldn't take a photo of the food because it was too delicious. We were really well looked after by the staff and it is reasonably priced. Can't recommend highly enough
A.
Really nice staff and brilliant food
M. S.
Excellent service and food!! Whether staying in or taking away, the quality is unmatched!
Also works late on Saturdays, so perfect for a late night snack 👌
K. A. M.
Great place to attend for friends & family! The platters are great for large groups & taste great, all at a reasonable price! Highly recommended if you like grilled meats
B. G.
Good Turkish restaurant. Shish is worth trying. Salads have become even better since it was rebranded from being Effes. A bit noisy, cold and windy in the front part of the restaurant.
N.
Good food but quite pricey for what you get. The staff don't smile much but at least they're relatively fast. There are better Turkish restaurants out there.
M. K.
A Turkish place in the UK that cooks better than in Turkey. Absolutely amazing food. It's not posh, it's not upscale. Go there for the great food
O. N.
Lamb was delicious. Quick service, so we didn't dwell. Sank a couple of Efes beers too. Really solid dinner.
D. W.
We had a take away meal. It was really tasty, filling and not expensive. We were also treated to Turkish tea while we waited.
S. W.
Great food, service was excellent, friendly and fast
S. C.
Food was ok, but not of the same quality of Efes the Turkish restaurant that was at the same location previously. A bit disappointing. Worth the effort though
T. W.
Food was nice. The ayran was very punchy though, not like the ones in Turkey.
J. P.
Efe's is clearly run by people who care, and the food is very good - just depends on if its your thing! I'm about to go for a second visit, to have something other than the lamb doner - which is done in a Greek style, I prefer Lale in Eltham for doner, if you are reading this, go there like your life depended on it, there is a restaurant out back you wouldn't know was there!
Efe's is a proper Turkish place, I'd guess the owners are Turk Cypriot food style wise.
I may update when I'm back and full :)
S. K.
Lamb chops are amazing. Sarma bayti too.
They have increased their prices but the food is outstanding. Preferred the old rice and the old chili dip.
L. C.
Great place for a collective eat.
Food is usually good and very good value.
Donner meat on the specials... lush!
BYO too makes it a cheaper night out.
R. B.
Great food even during the 50% off the staff were very friendly well organized
M. T.
Found hair twice in the food after starving, but we ended up loving it more than we probably would have normally all because of a man called Ehsan who dilivered exceptional customer service. He catered in the best way possible with lots of smiles and charisma, he ensured arrangments like clock work and made the experience amazing.
Ehsan = 10*
A. G. E.
the kebab was absolutely delicious but the stew of the day was kind of tasteless.Service kind but not very attentive.I had to wait so long to be able to order another glass of wine.Ambiance is really nice and love the fact they are so transparent about way of cooking and presenting their food.
S. M.
Awesome food! nice staff excellent prices. You won't go home hungry!
M. F.
Good food , reasonable prices but you can't bring a bottle anymore as they now sell disgusting effes draft beer in a bottle, hmmm, draft beer in a bottle, not sure they got that one right.
t.
Food is generous in portion and varied but not entirely flavourful. Venue is great but having been three times have found the staff at the door to be rude and dismissive to the point where I wouldn't return anymore
M. G.
Delicious well cooked food with great service. Come here with friends often for lunch, never let down.
T. K.
Awesome food and very big portions (which I'm always keen on). The food is very fresh but you need to get there early to get a seat.
P. K.
Good place with medium prices. Works until late. Serves compliments before dinner. Quick serving and friendly staff. Though the place is always busy. ;)
D. B.
The food was quite good, and the service is very nice, but the prices and the quantity is not as other Turkish restaurants in London! I would of expected larger plates.
R. G.
The food was absolutely delicious. Managed to finish it faster than it took to prepare. Would recommend sitting down than taking away.
J. K.
Got x4 the £52 platter...came within minutes staff are extremely friendly great service... the food has never disappointed the chops are done medium which is always great and not burnt to a crust and the ribs are just the best
F. A.
Service is top and food is exceptional, just a little too salty for me, so maybe cut down on that.but still 5 stars. BETTER THAN EFES ANYDAY. EFES IS RUBBISH.
S. H.
It's a regular Turkish on commercial road.. food r okay but price is but high
O. O.
Since i discovered the place ..its been a wonderful food all d way and the staff are great...The food is fantastic...fresh and lovely taste ..d rips..lamp chop and fish wonderful..and rich..wow
T.
Very impressed with the food from this place, got the Doner Wrap and Lahmacuns, both very nicely cooked and tasted lovely. Would highly recommend!
T.
Sharing platter was definitely worth it! For dessert the kanafeh was not nice (especially since they burnt it, but flipped upside down to try cover it).
C. R.
Love the food, this my second time coming here. The service is excellent and good value for money.
J. C.
We went with friends it was lovely very nice food atmosphere friendly clean and quick service so l would say go and try it room for all their was 15 of us seat upstairs and down xx
A. K.
Went for the mixed grill which was a bit mixed in quality, some of the meats I've had better but some were one of the best. Overall would recommend but because of its location on the main road, it is a bit pricey.
M. A.
Great food in a lively restaurant with efficient and friendly staff. I really enjoy every visit.
H. S.
Very delicious food and very polite staff. We love all food at efes resturant..
M. S. N.
Food was ok i have had better Turkish food in London, the owner was unable to split the bill into 2 receipts not sure why.
R. B.
Loved their food. We ordered family plater which was excellent
t.
Food was ok.
Beware of the extra charge for sitting down.
A can of coke went from £1 (take away) to £2.50 (seated).
A. D.
Fairly expensive food for the quality, good service, but really rude counter staff when paying. No plans on eating here again
N. A.
Good food. Reasonable prices and fast service. Would get 5 starts if they could do exactly the same food you get when in Turkey!
K. N.
Nice place for your birthdays and mostly every night out staff are friendly food delicious nice taste and i did enjoy my first night outing there i recommend to each and everyone
I. R.
Always a good place to come and eat. The only issue is the toilets can be slightly cleaner. Overall a nice place to eat with value for money
R. A.
Good Turkish food, great meat. Nice atmosphere. Drinks are way overpriced but the Turkish tea is great.
S.
Good atmosphere and service. Complimentary bread and Turkish Tea

This restaurant is really nice. I had some really nice pida and will definitely be recommending it to my friends. Such a breath of fresh air to see a Turkish restaurant in an area that is dominated by Indian restaraunts

Excellent service, friendly staff, really good food. I would love to see a few more options on the menu (e.g. Manti) but otherwise perfect.

This is my local turkish restaurant and I adore it! I usually order a lamb wrap for my treat followed by a portion of baklava. I am thinking of having my 30th birthday celebrations there.

Really good food, great staff and amazing service. Authentic turkish food takes me back to my gap year in Turkey.

The food is really good and customer service is not to bad. Worth to try if you're around.

Used to eat here a lot. Hadn’t been for a while, but the past two times have been a real let down. Staff are inattentive, getting our order wrong both times, arguing when we corrected them. Had to cook the halloumi when we got home as it …
S. S.
Great food and atmosphere. Bathrooms could me much cleaner!

Lovely lovely foods. Excellent service loved the Turkish tea yummy.

Cracking proper Turkish food. Kebabs worth the money. Lunchtime specials. Bring your own drinks for £2.

Prices are moderate but the shish and salad wasn't up to the Turkish standard I am used to. I normally like the chilli sauce but the one I got here looked different and tasted like it was mixed with palmoil. The meat portion size also looked smaller. I don't think I'll go back as food is just average.

The food was amazing . We had a platter and service very good and puick . Thank you Rüyam

Mouth-watering lamb!! The falafel and hummus were not my favorite in the world but that lamb kebab was unbelievably delicious. Will definitely be back here

Very nice kebab house in East London. Both lamb and chicken shish were excellently cooked.
Bring your booze.

Impressive food, friendly staff. The place is small, hence always full of people. Reasonably priced. Recommened for smaller parties too.

Good turkish restaurant. Nothing fancy, just grilled meats and good sides. The mixed grill is enough to feed a small family.

Delicious food and fast service. However unnecessarily loud music and staff behind the counter joke each other loudly which is really annoying.

A bit expensive for eating-in. But ok for take-away. Really delicious and good portion
T. W.
Decent food. BYOB. A bit more expensive than it used to be though, and also service was a bit off when we went this time.
A. J.
Fantastic Turkish food! But the restaurant is very cramped & somewhat chaotic. Would still love to come back!
C. G.
Like the environment and the taste of the foods. The staffs were really welcoming. Liked the tea at the end very much.

Food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. The waiting was too long though for a take away meal.

Used to be Efes but changed names probably changed ownership too. Menu is slightly different and much more expensive. Less food portions too!
K. V.
Food is nice, but it was very cold inside.

Greatly improved, better portion sizing, quality food and good pricing overall

Amazing fast and plentiful. A true place to seek out for a great middle eastern food feast. Open late, always busy.
D. P.
huge portions tasty food but its unacceptable to be able to pay only with cash!!!!!
J. D.
Food was nice and service was good though a bit pricey for the relatively small portion size
R. L.
The busiest restaurant in the area.
Great swift service. Buy your booze next door.
Tasty food cooked infront of you

Great restaurant for a casual dinner. Good tasting Turkish food but drinks tasted like they had been watered down.

Okay food and service but the meat is pretty dry. Not enough sauce to make the meat succulent.
