Reviews of Scully St James's
K.
This is without doubt one of my very favourite restaurants in London. The food is exceptional and the service always friendly yet professional. Very good value as well considering the depth of the cookery and quality of ingredients used. Would highly recommend!! 🙌
T. R.
The dishes and the flavours are really special and something you won’t get everyday. Loved the way food was displayed. The fish we had was simply “wow”. We had a very nice evening at this place. However have to deduct one star as initially we were seated at a table next to the kitchen although other tables were available and we had reserved up front. We were also reminded before ordering dessert that we would have to leave within the next 15 min due to the next reservation coming up.
R. B.
Amazing food, the combinations of dishes and flavours were really good, the waiter was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Would definitely come back soon.
P. J.
Modern fusion Malaysian restaurant, every dishes was really tasty. Everyone in the restaurant were so friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Recommend trying when you are in town.

Scully is such a talented chef! He uses his own fermented produces and makes them into great dishes.
If you decide to eat only one evening in London let it be this place.
You will not regret!
Tip: he wrote the book Nopi together with Yotam Ottolenghi.

Absolutely delicious and really interesting dishes, with sometimes unusual (but absolutely worth trying) flavour combinations. In particular, we loved the oyster mushrooms with yeast flake sauce - it tasted incredible and had so much flavour for something so simple. The staff were excellent, attentive and informative.
C. C.
An enjoyable experience. Overall I thought the food was nice, but wasn’t necessarily blown away by it. It was good to see there was a range of vegetarian options. The stand outs were the arepa and the green matcha cake but some of the other dishes were a little underwhelming. However the staff was very friendly and offered advice on ordering.

Food is fantastic, service and atmosphere are fab. Loved our dinner and will absolutely be back!

Absolutely incredible and sensational food. The texture, flavours and presentation were all incredible but also very innovative. I am a foodie and have been to Scully a few times and the menu is always creative, one of my favourite places in London. Scully is able to combine different flavours in an innovative fashion to bring jt to the next level, combining different Eastern flavours with a slight touch of Mediterranean and the end result is explosively delicious. Service was also impeccable, nice to see a restaurant full of people again post covid. Highly recommend to anyone who loves food.

One of the best restaurants in London, a MUST. The place serves very creative and unique dishes inspired on cuisines from around the world. The quality of the ingredients as well as the cooks skill really comes to light in what are some of the most interesting dishes I have ever tasted. Not only that, the service is very good and unpretentious and relaxed. Its not a cheap place, but the value for money is outstanding. £60 for Wine, Starters, Main, Dessert is quite fair.
Congratulations to everyone who works there!
J. W.
Lovely dinner, staff were really attentive. Oyster mushroom tasted very luxurious, crispy potato was crunchy outside with inside still tender, veal was nicely cooked. Only pity is that the black bean sauce probably appeared in the wrong place. Dessert was petty good portion, would be good if were shared. All in all, still a very nice place with an interesting menu.
C. G.
Excellent interesting dishes, well prepared, suitable for sharing. Would definitely repeat

Wow, I think I am going to be a vegetarian ! So great, rich strong flavours. Amazing. Highly recommend the oyster mushrooms (seriously like a meat dish), arepa (most recommended) and the halibut is as good as well. Lovely. Will come back

It is hard to find a dining experience that has nailed every facet. Scully is nothing short of exceptional! The level of love, attention and creativity that goes into each of the dishes does not fail to delight. Do not go here if you do not enjoy the extraordinary and visionary flair. It continues to be one of our firm favourite and unrivalled London dining experiences. Warming ambiance without being pretentious, open kitchen, innovative flavour combinations, faultless service, personable owner, vegetarian and non vegetarian sensations. Speaking to to the owner, and how his visions came to fruition was the final icing on the cake. A menu of seasonal ingredients where the love doesn't stop - house-made spices, syrups, pickles, extracts and preserves. Class act A+++

The host was amazing !!! So attentive and polite, she knew that we had theatre after the dinner and recommended dishes we could get in order to not be late. The waiter though couldn’t explain the concept and also she weren’t aware of the story about the forbidden rice and some of the dishes. Shef was amazing! Thank you for the experience guys, but staff have to be more informed. We were 40 min late for the table, thanks for accommodating us anyways. Appreciate it.

Great experience, our evening plan was completed. To be honest I think this was one of the best Asian fusion food ever tasted. Flavours of dishes its a journey itself hard to put into words, need try it yourself. Love fact that is open kitchen and its possible to see art work of the team. love it
C. P.
Wonderful experience, one of the best restaurants in London. Everything was perfect, from the food, to the wine and the ambiance.
The service was exceptional, very personal and attentive, changing plates and cutlery between each dish etc.
The food is creative and refreshing
The prices are very reasonable and even the wine list is both good and affordable, which is very rare for central London.
N. R.
We totally love the whole experience! The food is exceptional - the halibut dish and asparagus dish were truly exceptional. Every dish made with heart and soul in the calm and smiley kitchen. Scully and his team are approachable, funny and most importantly, they want every customer to have a brilliant experience.
R. W.
Totally fabulous. What this man can do with vegetables is unbelievable. An oyster mushroom skewer that was better than any chicken skewer, we followed that with aubergine sambal and the most amazing corn bread pocket.
We went for a birthday gift on Saturday. The atmosphere is relaxed in an elegant setting. The service is exceptional , attentive but not intrusive. Scully himself will come and explain origins and ingredients in each dish . The main dishes were 2 meat 2 fish , we had both fish dishes and the veal - all of it was a taste explosion and then melt in your mouth...
To make the night even better Ramael Scully gave us a behind the scenes tour , to see how you get to all these flavours is amazing ( need to up my kitchen game somewhat)
All in all I highly recommend a night out it's suitable for couples, groups ( I would even take myself for a lunch treat on my own ) just go and enjoy 😊
C. P.
No words can describe the wonderful food my wife and I enjoyed at Scully’s before our trip to see Moulin Rouge at the nearby Piccadilly Theatre. We looked at the menu and and if I am honest it was difficult to relate to most of the dishes on the menu. Such a rich and exotic combination of food from all over the world we didn’t know what to expect. I am a vegetarian so my wife went with my no meat selection of 2 small and 1 large plate of what was probably the most wonderful food we have ever tasted. What was so amazing was the ability of the chefs to combine different flavours to produce something truly outstanding. The staff were very helpful and spent time explaining the dishes. Strongly recommended - try the crispy Yam ring with forbidden black rice.
H. G.
I have never visited before and I was absolutely stunned at the quality of the food. It is exceptional.
The service, the staff, the cocktails! Just incredible! I SO wish I had visited before now. I shall definitely be adding Scully's to my top 5 restaurants in London list from now on. Well done team!
P. F.
Amazing batata hara, delicious falafel and freshly squeezed fruit juice! I had carrot but they also offer mango, apple, orange etc.
P. A.
Awesome, excellent staff I was greeted ever so warmly and shown to a table even without a reservation. Food drinks were decadent the desert was oh la la so delicious
V. K.
The most creative menu I’ve seen in a while. Everything was exquisite; from the food to the service and the dining experience. Unpretentious, authentic and with a hands-on owner and chef who generously shared the stories behind his creations. Bravo!
S. S.
Another outstanding meal here. Many new items on the menu to try (the beef cheek rendang is on another level of indulgence!) plus some firm favourites (the arepa and the beef tendons are still amazing!). Impeccable service and great allergy awareness to boot.
R. B.
Such a divine meal and a lovely dining experience! We tried the following vegetarian dishes - arepas with aubergine, crispy desiree potatoes, beef tomatoes with green strawberries, broccoli with salted yolks and ended the meal with the poached meringue, strawberries, rhubarb sorbet. Loved loved loved all of them. Do not miss the arepas for sure. Would gladly visit this place again!
m. s.
The dishes and the flavours are sincerely special and some thing you received’t get everyday. Loved the way meals changed into displayed. The fish we had was actually “wow”. We had a very satisfactory nighttime at this place. However must deduct one star as initially we have been seated at a desk next to the kitchen even though other tables had been available and we had reserved up the front. We had been additionally reminded before ordering dessert that we might should go away in the subsequent 19 min because of the subsequent reservation coming up
M. J.
Amazing flavours, generous portions, chilled atmosphere, lovely friendly service and amazing value for money. What a happy vibe. Would definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back.
J. J.
High expectations low realization,
Clueless bartender stick to simple drinks or just the wine you already know.
Few protein choices, the veal tartare was the start of the show although minuscule portion even for one person, the version of arepa was interesting if you into ratatouille, the rest was very inmemorable, nice service, decent presentation, very attentive chef, a thick on the box.
G. H.
What a place. Meal of the year so far!
We sat at the counter which was great, as we had a good few chats with the chef's and could see all the dishes going out.
The food was crazy tasty. Highly recommend the corn bread which I think is their signature dish. We could have eaten only that and we'd have been happy.
d. r.
This place is a foodie's heaven.
Scully uses ingredients and flavour combinations you would never think combining together (and many I'd never even heard of) to produce first class food that never fails to wow.
The staff are friendly and professional.
A place we love, feel really at home in and will keep going back to.
C. F.
This blew our expectations away. Great vibe (buzzy but relaxed), excellent friendly personable service, creative delicious dishes. Each had a fun riff on traditional flavor combinations. Vegetable dishes were a standout. Also an excellent wine list but prepare to splash out for the good stuff. Our waitress said we needed about 6 dishes to share among 3 people but 4-5 would have been fine. Cool open kitchen.
x.
What a gem! The food takes fusion to another level. Flavours from across the globe appear together in fantastic combinations. The chef really demonstrates his international heritage and well travelled palate. We sampled 6 different dishes and struggled to pick a standout favourite as all of them were just so good. The parsnip sorbet was a revelation... Friendly, attentive service and very much allergy aware. If you're a MasterChef fan, the chef's counter provides a great view of the pass. Flawless place and now very much on the 'must go again' list!
E. S.
Phenomenal place. The menu is a mixture of foods that contrast flavours. Awesome staff that know every detail of how the dish is made and how to eat it. An immense amount of creativity and thought goes into each plate.
It's like a carousel of flavours in your mouth.
M. H.
Lovely experience! We were pleased by the high quality service, ambience and food.
We were seated at the ‘counter’ which gives you a look in the kitchen and enables you to talk with the chefs. For a foodie like me that’s a dream come true.
We (2 persons) shared sever dishes, all prepared with so much love and dedication. My personal favorite was the mutton on bisbas.
We took 3 deserts cause they were all so amazing. Thanks again, props for the cooks and host.
T. 0.
Absolutely stunning food. Daring, complex dishes with ever so many layers of taste, the textures, the wine all over seamless but discreet service
L. N.
Easiest TOP 5 restaurants I’ve ate in London restaurants and I been to a lot of places. Wow, where do I begin... the place is small, but very cozy. The service is excellent, our waitress was so thoughtful, answered all our curious questions about dishes. We had Arepa, Eggplant Sambal, Char-Grilled Broccoli with Salted Egg Yolk, Dry Aged Halibut, a Chicken and Pineapple Creme Brûlée’s. Every dish was made to perfection, I’m usually not a huge fan of Asian Fushion, but I was amazed by all the flavours and how well put together and balanced it was. The prices are high end, but worth it for the quality of food and service. Thank you very much and will be back soon for sure to try rest of the menu.
I. C.
The menu was new and unfamiliar, from the Crapaudine Beetroot, Golden Beetroot, Palapa, Lime to the Cucumber Carosello, Alphonso Mango, Coconut Yoghurt, Pickled Cedro Lemon – reminded me very much of Ottolenghi's stuff. We were encouraged to order five to-share plates (plus an incredible dessert: the Ceremonial Green Matcha Swiss Roll, Black Tahini Ganache, Yoghurt Shards) which was plenty for the three of us. Another plate that stood out to all of us was the Arepa, Eggplant Sambal, Bergamot Labneh. Unfortunately these were the only ones, and that’s why I can’t give Scully St James’s a higher rating!
G. V.
Outstanding food! One of the best dining experiences I have had in recent years, up there with David Thompson's Nahm in my opinion. Scully holds true to the principles of European fine dining while fearlessly exploring and combining flavours and textures from every corner of Asia, through the Middle East and even borrowing from South America. We were lucky enough to sit right at the pass and if you ask him, Scully is happy to explain his experimental process and techniques and to create beautiful dishes from the most humble ingredients including long slow cooking, fermentation, ageing and dehydration. We will make sure we come back next time we are in London!
N. S.
Now this is a place you must go to! Asian Malaysian fusion, colourful plates, delicious food, great service and Chef Scully stands tall in his open kitchen and watching over everything... a true chef restaurant, innovative and thrilling

Best meal I have had in 2018.
I booked based on some excellent reviews but with a little bit scepticism that I would perhaps leave hungry after eating technically great food in small portions.
I was right in that I ate some technically great food, that was innovative and new to me but thankfully I did not level hungry.
Trust the staff to point you in the right direction. We did and had five excellent dishes. The beef tendon (snack) and short rib beef are must haves. Great selection of vegetarian dishes as well.
Wine list was short but complete with nearly all by the glass on offer as well.
Great dining ahead
P. T.
Great food, we visited the restaurant twice in a week. Services was really good and the interior decoration and atmosphere are very pleasant for catching up with friends. Our top choices are the puffed tendon, sambal aubergine, red dates/ pear, kolrabhi, stone bass, beef back ribs - yum!
T. H.
Delicious meal and excellent service
Coming here for a birthday celebration was something of a risk but I had been attracted by an innovative looking menu and so booked for an early evening dinner.
We were both delighted by the intelligent and attentive service and the extraordinary tastiness of the meal. We found we had to tuck away our tradition-bound expectations of what should be where and how things should taste. And we definitely needed the waitress’ guidance around the menu. But our taste buds were enchanted by everything, from the garam masala with curry Leaf chickpeas served as an appetiser with our drinks, through the skewered oyster mushrooms and the puff beef tendons, each used to spoon up their delicious sauces, to a gorgeous dish of duck on a bed of flavourful rice, culminating in a chocolate desert full of of flavours I have never experienced with chocolate before, but which made it more delicious than any I have tasted.
Definitely one to come back to, though I must remember that the very high prices (meal for 2 with a bottle of Chianti and two glasses of Prosecco totalled over £200) mean the occasion will need budgeting!
K. K.
This is one of my most favourite restaurants. Always amazing quality food prepared by very skilled and talented chef's. Recommended 1000%
K. B.
Excellent food, quite heavy but very tasty. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be returning to see how the menu changes with the seasons!
B. A.
A brilliant small restaurant serving truly contemporary delicious food. Taste, presentation and proportion are all on spot. Service is friendly and efficient. A must visit in my opinion.
N. V.
Honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had in London. Super friendly staff who are really knowledgeable about the food and menu, and the food itself is unlike anything I've had - but all equally delicious.
Definitely go for the arepas, and just ask the waiter what's good (spoiler: everything is).
K. T.
innovative and well executed dishes with a mix of asian and south american flavours. Went on a Friday night and the vibe was lively and fun. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and warm. Despite having only opened for 6 months, front of house and kitchen staff seems to be working harmoniously and efficiently. Overall great service and food. The beef tendon and the choc sorbet were my faves!
G. S.
Impeccable food with great staff. Priced on the higher-end but worth every penny. Having just one dish for a meal would be a mistake as the portion sizes are on the small side and you'd also miss out on some amazing food.
J. N.
My rating for this place is: 94/100
24/25 for Food
13/15 for Atmosphere
24/25 for Service
33/35 for Value for Money
Puff beef tendons were amazing and blackcurrant ice cream transported me to a villa on the beach, stunning!
M. B.
Cocktails and beef tendon crisps were magical, and the spiced goat was tender in a way that I didn't believe goat could ever be. However, there were also some big misses - a hispi slaw was an uninspiring pile of shredded leaves, while the "forbidden rice" failed to evoke the XO flavours that were promised on the menu. Our desserts similarly disappointed - a chocolate arepa managed to be simultaneously greasy and dry, while a frozen marshmallow had a bizarre flavour evocative of something you might find in the back of your cleaning supplies cupboard.
On a more positive note: staff were pleasant and everything was served promptly. The house white was delicious.
J. T.
Very delicious food. Best meal I had in my short stay in London. Will definitely come back. Great textures and subtle flavor profiles. Great staff.
A. A.
We had a great evening at Scully. We tried savoury arepas, chair-grilled broccoli, tomato and coconut salad, sweet arepas with chocolate mousse and melon sorbetto, accompanied with Italian prosecco and Czech wine. Food was great, Arepas and Broccoli were our favorite plates. The restaurant atmosphere was great too, and staff very helpful and knowledgeable.
S. L.
My last dinner in London and it was beyond fabulous!! Loved all the dishes, such great flavour combinations and execution!! We sat at the chef's counter coz I love watching how the kitchen works! The service was great as well. Highly recommend!!
S. W.
We sat at the counter in front of the pastry chef (dangerous!). At first, we were a bit distracted by the classic rock music that was playing in the background, but were honestly blown away from start to finish. Each dish was out of this world, and all the chefs were very easy to ask questions or to give us anything we needed. The flavors and sauces were outstanding, and after 5 dishes we were full! (Always room for dessert though). We had the arepas, slaw, broccoli, halibut, and short rib. For dessert, our friend made us the chocolate sorbet, cheesecake, and arepa, all contributed by his own recipes. We will definitely be back, perhaps to try new items on their menu. Thank you!
S. S.
My wife and I went here for out birthday celebration. It didn't disappoint. The ex head chef of Nopi, trained under Ottolenghi, and certainly shows his character with a selection of small plates that are excellent. I couldn't possibly try all the dishes that were tempting. I did have the beef tendons, the areas and the jicama along with desserts. To try next time would be the forbidden rice and the Goat.
G. C.
I never leave reviews but felt I had to because it was absolutely delicious. Scully is fusion-style food, that is surprising and tasty. The restaurant itself is beautiful and comfortable. Would highly recommend.
J. C.
Having opened his own eponymous restaurant, ex-NOPI chef Ramael Scully now has free reins to experiment in both cooking style and ingredients, and the results are stunning in the main, but also rather mixed in parts. The kohlrabi starter was delightful, but the arepa was safe to the point of forgettable. The halibut and stone bass mains both brought out the best in the fish and should be commended. The ice cream and cookie was another 'swing for the fences' dish that came close to being a home run, if not for the miso caramel. The other desserts were good but unremarkable.
The space felt crowded and the acoustics were awful, unfortunately. Our waitress was professional and we appreciated not being rushed to vacated our table after 2 hours 15 minutes - yes they were that specific.
M. T.
Happy that Scully is now open. Tucked away in St. James's Market, it's centrally located and a perfect spot for all meals including business lunch or pre-theatre dinner. Friendly service. Most importantly though, the food is delicious. Innovation dishes that really highlight a mix of flavours from all over. World fusion at its best.
M. T.
I went to Scully for lunch. A wonderful experience.
If you go there as a couple don't order more than 4 meals. Four is the perfect amount to leave some space for desserts. Definitely can recommend the desserts. Go for chocolate!
K. K.
Scully St. James was an unforgettable experience. The tastes are so different and new.
They know what they are doing in their kitchen..
Love it!
J. B.
So good I've been twice. A rarity for someone living in London where I'm spoilt for choice where restaurants are concerned.
Only missing a star because there was nowhere to pop my bag :-(
B. O.
The mass exodus of Londoners and the hiatus in the festivities between Christmas and New Year brings a different feel to a normally frenetic West End. A restaurant that remains busy during this period is surely one to try. Scully's clientele were as eclectic as the food on the menu which, did not disappoint. A melange of Asian and European flavours combined to deliver fresh, interesting dishes that were a delight to share. Particular highlights were the puffed beef tendon and the massaman goat loin with real smoke. Definitely one to return to.
A. B.
Delicious. Personally, the most anticipated restaurant opening this year. Did not disappoint. Brilliant meal. Imaginative flavour combinations and such a caring and delightful front of house.
K. M.
Amazing food! Beautifully presented and full off explosive flavours in each dish! Great hot, sweet combos
A. B.
One of my all time London favourites, Scully has some of the most interesting and delicious food I've ever had. All in a trendy, sophisticated (but not pretentious space). A must!! All my other London foodie loves on Insta at @hello_hedonaut.
S. H.
Almost every dish was truly fantastic and beautiful. All are rather intense in taste. We loved sitting next to the kitchen and observe how everything is prepared. It's an experience and makes the dishes personal. The restaurant should fix the problem with the main door. Whenever it's opened it gets breezy and too cold. Expect 60£ p.p. without wine. Also excellent non alcoholic drinks. Service above average. They know their food well.
Thank you, we will come back
W. H.
Our forth time at Scully.
Fantastic as usual! Great and real food! Taste, look, style... all lovely created and executed by the team. No need for gimmicks such as smokes or pebbles or forth etc.
Good Covid-safe practice, great service and atmosphere.
If I must pick one thing, it is a touch too bright in the room.
R. B.
Scully’s restaurant in St James’s is an absolute revolution. No question about it.
Since we last visited just under 6 months ago, the dishes that have remained on the menu have, unbelievably, evolved beyond the previous outstanding experience. The new dishes we sampled were on the same level - a unique fusion of world experience delivered to the plate with finesse and punched with flavour.
It’s incredibly rare that an exceptional restaurant is even more exceptional, even more delicious and even more impressive on your second visit - but this was and, I have a strong feeling, will continue to be...
M. S.
Vegetarian dishes were some of the best food I have ever had. But the meat and fish dishes had a ceviche-style sauce together with a puree that I didn't particularly like as it was very rich and sweet.
C. M.
Lovely place and menu. Every dish was beautifully presented. Great service and vibes too!
J. P.
Flavours of food well balanced. Staff were super warm and friendly. Atmosphere of restaurant also warm and comforting. Really really good restaurant.
A. N.
Creative fusion cuisine, loved the attention to details on textures and flavours. Every dish was impressive
A. S.
Amazing food and service. The arepa and beef tendons were out of this world, every dish was unique and flavoursome. Loved being able to sit overlooking the kitchen.
T. D.
Really tasty food, friendly staff, and good vibe. A great place to have dinner!
T. R.
Just wow! The food was amazing—literally like a taste adventure. The picture is of the arepa, and you cannot go wrong with this dish. (My picture does not even do this justice.) This place has an amazing atmosphere, and the staff is so friendly. I sat at the bar, so I got to talk with the cooks while I ate, which was a really cool way to experience a meal.
This was definitely one of the highlights of my first London trip. I will definitely be coming back here in future trips!
X. W.
3.5 Good service. Food is decent but nothing special, it’s fusion but it doesn’t bring any cuisine that each dish is based on to another level. Good sake.
S. N.
Great service. The food is highly creative. Amazing Fusion food
T.
They managed to fit us in without a booking but we had to be out within the hour. Very attentive staff, food presented well and served quickly. Wasn't impressed with beer range, too much craft which I know is popular but even the lager was like an IPA, too floral. Food flavours were great and alot of attention to detail. Would go again but would definitely study the menu online first, we ordered in a rush and probably could've ordered better. Overall, a good experience and couldn't fault the staff at all, all very good.
J. H.
Absolutely beautiful food. Sensational flavours! The puff beef tenders are a must!
N. P.
Fantastic menu which is well explained by the attentive staff. It is a nice spacious restaurant whilst the open kitchen provides a vibrant atmosphere
J. P.
Went to Scully's last night and again had the most delicious meal. This is hands down our favourite restaurant in London. Always memorable.
J. Z.
Convivial atmosphere created by staff who clearly love what they do. And what they do is really very good. Interesting food that always surprises and delights.
C. G.
Best food I had in London for a while! It's fine, elegant, subtile and all of that in a cool atmosphere with super friendly staff. The eggplant starter (photo) and the pastrami beef main has been a tasteful revelation. The We need to have more places like this to eat in London and not the posh-fancy-mayfair restaurants where you're overpaying for OK food (and sometimes not even ok....). Will come back again and again THANK YOU :)
S. B.
They're trying real hard to win a star. Interesting presentation, but the first three dishes fell flat when it came to taste. The duck was the only dish that really won us over.
M. T.
Amazing fusion food bursting with flavours. Chefs cooking right in front of you is an added bonus!
A. Z.
The night was spotless. Lenka was incredibly kind, setting up a great table for us and ensuring we had all the attention we needed throughout the night. Rebecca was very efficient and followed us with care for the whole of our dinner. The food was excellent and everyone was delighted to try such wholesome flavours. Excellent!
R. B.
The food here is outstanding. The Middle Eastern and Asian influences could be felt in the dishes and everything is made to perfection. We had a great time here and we’re lucky to have had Scully in the kitchen that night.
C. R.
Just sensational. Food is exquisite and unbelievably flavourful. Service is informative and graceful. Had a wonderful work dinner and brought my wife was back for lunch the next day!
T. M.
Great food and dedicated service!
It's a pleasure to see that the hard work of the kitchen is well portrayed by the service staff !
H. A.
Love this food presentation and experience it’s delicious some flavors are common in a couple of dishes middle eastern/ Indian not spicy but flavorful loved the experience definitely going back to try the rest of the dishes
S. C.
Can’t rate this wonderful restaurant highly enough. Scully’s dishes are so inventive and delicious and he’s supported by a fab team. Try everything!
d.
Amazing food and experience. Highly recommended. Have dinned few times and always super satisfied.
X. C.
Great service and food with original flavours. The wines too expensive.
V. H.
Great experience, food is fantastic, me and my mother loved our lunch. Thank you 😊
J. B.
Delicious meal, lovely staff and service, will be coming back very soon.
R. P.
Never in my life have I finished eating at a restaurant and thought “I wish we’d tried more vegetarian dishes”. That says it all! The flavour combinations and things they manage to do on the small plates are truly unique and mind blowing. The larger meat and fish dishes were also very tasty but were more what you might expect. Can’t wait to go back.
S. L.
Very laid back atmosphere for an upscale restaurant. The oyster mushroom was phenomenal! The only reason I can't give five stars is because both of the main courses my husband and I wanted had run out before we could finish placing our order.
D. O.
The food was really taken care of in the smallest details, both in the techniques and in the combinations of flavors, surprising the appetizers, and above all the desserts, the creme brulée highly recommended, a different way of interpreting a great classic, congratulations to all the cuisine and the service in room,

Good food in a vibrant environment. The service was good, but not exceptional

Amazing food and service would highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants in London. Amazing vegan/vegetarian dishes with meticulous service. Good wine list as well.
R. C.
Creative, refreshing, such a joy to experience. The chefs really love their craft.

Absolutely amazing! Food, staff and ambiente!
N. K.
Inventive high quality food at a price that is pretty reasonable given it's on
prime London real estate.
The oyster mushroom dish was delicious, so was the tartare, the stone bass, the sambal and the apricot dessert. The Experience cocktail amazing.
But the macha avocado mousse with the waffle was a bit overpowering (it was too zingy and drowned out the earthy flavour of the waffle which needed only a dash of something richer but less fluffy and overwhelming. Also, the tomatoes needed to be finely chopped. The only dish we tried where the flavours didn't work was the peaches with the shitake reduction- too creative and too many different unmatched flavours. Liked the matcha swiss roll as well as the apricot dessert, however, and the chickpeas at the start were a nice touch.
Great service from the staff , too. Would recommend/come back.Lucasz the waiter was especially knowledgeable and approachable and all his suggestions were spot-on.

Wow, from walking through the door on Friday night (friendly and engaged team) to a culinary journey with Scully himself in the kitchen. First class from start to finish...amazing and thank you!

I feel rather blessed (as my office is around the corner). Go there for lunch and have some fun. Alas, go there in the evening, and enjoy the show. Aside from the (most excellent food; they excel in aged everything <-- ask them to show you), they are advocates for magnum wines, and not because of an extreme case of alcoholism but because magnum bottles age differently (think oxygen as it gets in contact with the wine; less per capita in a larger bottle...). It is a fun place to hang out in. Wonderfully casual atmosphere but there's nothing casual about their culinary ambition. Highly recommended!
A. G.
A great meal, the oyster mushroom dish is outstanding, good wine and cocktails and the service is attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely recommend.

We went to Scully’s at the start of July, having a couple of recommendations from friends and family.
We found the food good but not particular memorable. The oyster mushrooms and potato waffle were delicious. The pork chop itself was good, but had crackling that wasn’t particularly crackling in nature and came with a very overpowering sauce. The Yuba tart was disappointing.
I think what let Scully’s down the most was the service. I appreciate that the current situation isn’t the easiest for any business, but for the price I think Scully’s could’ve been better.
Having waited 45 minutes from ordering, we had to flag down a member of staff to ask about our food. Up until that point no one had been to check in on us/our order.
Similarly we had glasses of wine cleared without being asked if we’d like another glass.
We were given a discount on our bill, but this just felt quite reactive.
Scully’s sent a follow up email asking for feedback which we responded to. The company acknowledged it and said they’d act on it and let us know.

My pastry chef boyfriend took me here on a short trip to London, and it was very romantic! We had a dark, candle-lit table and our servers were friendly, professional and informative. We shared six or seven plates, all uniquely, exquisitely, artistically, and carefully prepared. Each one was made to absolute perfection, the flavors interestingly and wonderfully paired. I was very impressed and more than satisfied. What a great experience. I wish I had photos, but I was too excited to eat!!!
M.
Fantastic food and service. Went there for an anniversary and they made our night even more special. Highly recommended.

Well worth a 12 month pandemic wait. Scully St James is Middle Eastern Asian fusion at its absolutely brilliant best. Experiential dining, explosive flavour, a world class team. Every dish faultless, every dish pushing boundaries you didn’t know were possible, every dish presented immaculately. Prepare to be wowed! Sleepy St James just came to life with the biggest wow factor! Turns out Scully and his awesome crew just happen to be the nicest bunch in town too. If you’re really lucky, you’ll get a chance to see the method in the madness with a quick kitchen tour 👌🏼 Just book it. Culinary genius. This place has Michelin star written all over it.

One of London’s best restaurants. The arepa is divine, and same was the brussel sprout salad (sounds so unassuming but in fact was the absolute star of the meal!). It is pricey but worth every penny considering the quality and work behind every dish.

The foods are all amazing. Service was great
C. T.
Food was incredibly amazing. We went there for their soft opening and blown away with the food we received. Jerked beetroot, Beef, Pork knuckle, Rice, Butternut were my highlighed ones although all were individually amazing. Great wine list and great cocktails, great service. Well done to the team Scully. Will definitely come back again.
Highly recommended !

Was taken by my son and his girlfriend as they cant speak highly enough about the place and I have to say I entirely agree. The food is delicious and plentiful. With care taken to deliver great flavour combinations and presentation. The service was excellent too. I took my 2 dogs who weren't just tolerated but greeted enthusiastically and given lots of love. We had a really great evening and left full and happy. The prices are very reasonable too. I will definitely go back. Thankyou Amrutha lounge. 👌👏😊

Went here with my partner last night.
Service - fantastic!! William absolutely made our evening. We felt so special and he is extremely knowledgeable about wine!
Food - insanely good! Presentation and use of ingredients were incredible. We also sat at the counter so we were able to watch the chefs at work and ask questions- I definitely recommend grabbing this spot if possible!
All in all what an experience. I dine out very frequently and I vow to never try and go somewhere more than once however I already have plans to visit Scully again with more friends.
Seriously recommend and if there are reviews that aren’t then I think they took an Uber to the wrong place!!
Thanks Guys!
H. G.
Absolutely superb. The food is flawless - every dish we ate involved ingredients and combinations of flavours that we hadn't yet experienced or thought of, but that all of which worked. On top of this was the service - both the waiting staff and chefs (we were at the counter) were immensely friendly, and willing to answer all of the masses of questions I had about the food and cooking techniques. The price point is absolutely reasonably for the standard of food and service you're treated to. I can't wait to go back! Thank you Scully - you're our dream come true. Xx
E. L.
We went here for dinner on our honeymoon trip to London and had one of the finest culinary experiences ever! We sat at the counter to witness the artists at work. If you even think you’re remotely interested in that, this is a great place to experience it. Chef Scully and his team explained dishes to us and answered any and all questions for us throughout our meal. The arepa was our favorite dish, though everything else followed closely. The service was great! Highly recommended to anyone looking for an adventure for your palette.

Amazing place, amazing food ..
All the menu can be shared with various peoples... so nice as we were 4 and tried 8 plates we all shared...such a good experience..quality and price are totally reasonable if you see the great meals they offer...we stayed there for hours for our girls reunion post lockdown and we met scully, really nice guys... we saw the food he prepares for his team, almost tempted to apply...😀😀😀
J. G.
Absolutely superb in every way. Food is exciting and inventive, drinks are great and service was exceptional. Surprised this place isn't more well known.
A. S.
Food was great and presented in ways that were unexpected, which I enjoyed. The dishes are meant to be shared, and with two of us we ordered an appetizer, two veggie dishes, fish and meat and were very satisfied. The restaurant is in the heart of Picadilly Circus, but on a very quite and secluded side street. Definitely recommend this place!
k. j.
Amazing food. It has a limited menu that keeps changing, but has a few constants. They only have small plates for vegetarians, so you might need to order a couple of them per person. It has a great vibe to it. Highly recommended
C. A. M.
What an experience! The staff are wonderful: such attentive service. But you came here for the food. Get several appetizers: that is the point. There are mains, too. The goat was incredible. For dessert we had the chocolate arepa stuffed with an otherworldly chocolate mousse. Divine! The interiors are lovely!
P. K.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Great service, some really inspired food, great wine and cocktails.
Also very nice to see the owner and head chef in the open plan kitchen chatting and interacting with the customers.
Highly recommended.
N. G.
Guys really one of the best food my gf and I had in our life's. Especially the oyster mushrooms with the yeast flake sause and the abade de priscos pudding, were out of this world! Truly an amazing experience 👏👏

Very mixed feelings.
Was taken here for a business dinner, as someone’s guest. I was the first person in the place, arriving at the booked time of 6.30pm. greeted by nice smiles and shown to a table, and given some water at my request.
Over the next 10-15 minutes, I decided to ask for a drink but could not get the attention of staff, which was baffling – bearing in mind I was the only customer in the place! So walked up to the bar and made my request, which was then served nicely. Just felt a little laissez-faire in terms of attentiveness, though polite when actually attended to. My host arrived a short while later, and we were told about how it works – basically a tapas style. Was a little difficult to understand what was said, but got there in the end.
The food itself was in small portions, and tasty but rich. All in all, very pleasant. Except…
At one stage whilst eating, I felt something odd inside my mouth. On retrieval, it was a piece of plastic, about 2” by 1”. I was utterly shocked, as was my host. We did point this put to the server, who apologised offered to replace it but I was off food by then. To be honest, as I was so shocked and even embarrassed for the person who had taken me there. As he was present, I did not want to make a fuss and embarrass him further. But that is really not what one would expect of a high end west-end restaurant. The prices were high, but not surprising given the location.
I left before he had to settle up but I understand only a small amount was taken off the bill. The restaurant has since suggested they were more generous than my host's recollection. In any event, that made no difference to me personally, as I had the plastic and was not paying. I remain surprised and disappointed that somebody more senior did not see it fit to come and talk to me. The incident was clearly unintentional, and I have nothing against the kitchen staff in that context.
In summary, interesting cuisine (not if you are very hungry), pleasant service when it actually happened, and mismanagement of an obvious accident. Had I been there off my own back, I would not have been quite so understanding and this certainly will make me think twice before contemplating a return visit, or recommending it.
W. C.
Top notch customer service. In total, over five members of staff greeted us, served us and explained food to us -- including the chef! Have never spoken to so many different individuals at a restaurant - in a good way. We sat at the kitchen, which offered an opera-like experience, seeing the last-mile prep of your dishes. A warning here for sensitive individuals - sitting at the kitchen can take a little getting used to, as a lot is going on and you may feel pressured to observe everything.
In terms of dishes. My favorite of what we had was the puff beef tendon starter. It is work of art - while not light on flavors nor volume. The hearty flavor combo makes for an emotional experience. The arepa dish was also top notch. I recommend ordering from the starters and veggie dishes, which are a) more interesting and b) better value.
What I found most interesting is how each dish at its core is designed to be eaten together -- with all of its components and by the method prescribed. Heed the method they suggest. Each dish generally has at least two components and I found that each component on its own was merely ok -- it was the combination bite that brought the dish to life. This mastery of intentionality is incredibly humbling. Hope to be able to meet the master, himself, one day.
S. P.
Amazing restaurant fantastic food, different flavours and such friendly staff. Will definitely return.
N. B.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. The most incredible food which is picture perfect and nearly too pretty to eat! The tastes explode in your mouth and every dish is exquisite. From the start and to wishing it would never finish. And Scully and his staff make you feel totally welcomed and special.
One could wax lyrical forever!
o. t.
Food and wine pairing is second only to the service!
L. H.
Great selection of food. Yummy in tummy. Great flavor of food. Services was great.
M. S.
Amazing experience. The food was great and service perfect. We had diner on the bar and really enjoyed our evening. Maybe the best restaurant we’ve ever done in London. We have already booked in 3 weeks. Congrats!!!
X. G.
Incredible experience!!!
We were invited to join the booking of some friends and didn't know where we were going and what to expect.
We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly and knowlegable staff and they were amazing all evening and made the experience very special.
We followed their recommandations for everything we had and it was perfect.
Fantastic flavours (sometimes unusual) in all the dishes, great presentation and the chefs were amazing in explaining the dishes and telling us about all the flavours, how and why they designed them.
We were lucky to be sat next to the kitchen and we could see and interact with the kitchen staff and chefs.
Please go and have dinner their you wont be disappointed! I would highly recommend to ask for a table facing the kitchen.
L. C.
Amazing food! It was a real treat. To see Scully himself working in the kitchen is a wonderful experience. All the staff helped to make our dinner a very special occasion that we’ll remember forever. But the best bit was the food. We loved everything. We’ll be back soon.
I. J.
Enjoyed our most with the puff beef tonder and the halibut. They are a must! Octopus was different from Asian grilled flavor, but with a pinch of sour taste mixed in smooth avocado. Really liked its texture. Everything was amazing and refreshing. We shared five dishes between us two and had no space for dessert.
Y. H.
This restaurant is a 10 out of 10! The food, service, staff, ambience is amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough. Mr Scully was there turning out works of art and flavor explosions and was so kind to let this fan girl get a photo with him (so sad but necessary for bragging rights). He has surpassed the guru ottolenghi.
M. C.
In one word outstanding! My friend and I went for a catch up dinner last night and sat at the chef counter. Coming from the industry myself I can be quite picky on restaurant operations (and my friends hate me for that), but I could not fault this one. Food was to die for. Loved the passion of the chefs engaging with guests. Service was first class. I think it was Elena? (off the bill), the Italian lady from Rome, incredibly knowledgeable who looked after us with a great smile. Thank you for the memorable experience and I will definitely be back.
B. l.
Great service, food and atmosphere! Besides the food being amazing (favourite being the butternut squash and the pork knuckle), the atmosphere made you feel like you were inside the kitchen with the chefs! Awesome job guys can’t wait to see what dishes you come up with next.
M. A.
Just spent a week in the UK, and this was one of our favorite meals. Fascinating dishes with ingredients new to us, inventive preparations, excellent service (far above most of our experience in England) and reasonably priced for this level of restaurant. Well-deserved accolades in the London "Best of" lists.
M. S.
Amazing food, excellent service and a chef that is working hard to create beautiful and tasteful dishes. We went to celebrate my sons birthday a total of 6 and Scully made sure that my vegan daughter did not feel a second class citizen adapting most of the dishes. We’ll be back.
K. W.
Wow. From the moment we entered this restaurant, last night, the experience was entirely magical. The front of house welcome could not have been more perfect, a lovely guy with a genuine interest in us and our first experience of Scully. We said we were celebrating our anniversary and with this we were introduced to the team of chefs "they're celebrating 14 years" (to many congratulations and smiles) and then shown to our table. After some complimentary bubbles (thank you again) we set about the tapas-ish style of dining (sharing a few plates) and, honestly, every dish was incredible. I loved the food (vegetarian, non garlic eater) as much as my meat eating husband. The cocktails were exceptional and the toilets were impeccably clean. It's been AGES since I was this impressed with a restaurant, so THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to you, too. What a place!
X. J.
Had all vegetarian dishes and loved it! Both the food and service was much nicer than ottolengi restaurant I've visited recently.
M. S.
This place is easily in the top tier of London restaurants. The food is a testament to the time and skill spent crafting the inventive menu on offer, each dish was perfectly balanced and blew me away. Equally skilled are the Scully bar staff who warrant a visit to this place irrespective of the food. If you're looking to blow someone away, take them here.
M. M.
The food we ate tonight was on another level. The broccoli with brown butter salted egg yolk was just insanely good.
Just as important was how safe we felt. Every table has a clear plastic shield on either side so that you feel protected and also not claustrophobic. Staff all wore PPE to protect them also. Hand sanitizer was available on every table.
We had a great evening and felt safe while doing so. Thanks Team Scully!
T. S.
This is how all restaurants should be. Amazing food, outstanding, fresh but not very expensive. Great atmosphere but not stuffy, amazing service but not stuck up. Everything I had still in memory after two weeks. And they are very customer oriented - thank you for my birthday cookies!
J. D.
Loved the food, every dish was different and prepared with love. Really enjoyed the deep fried arepas, well balanced with a touch of lime. Also would recommend the ceviche, not what would expect but again very balanced and tasteful. Service was great and overall a very energetic and passionate atmosphere.
S. M.
Dined there last night wonderful atmosphere and very attentive staff who explained all the dishes to us. The food was stunning and so different from anything else I have ever had .
E. Z.
Amazing food with flavours you've never tasted before! Creative, innovative and delicious! Plus Dorothy and Francesco were beyond friendly, helpful and happy! Highly recommend!
H. A.
Amazing amazing dishes and flavours. I would give more stars if possible. Been a month since my visit but I still can't move pass. Scully and team were so generous with the food, and sets the bar for restaurant service in London. The highlight of my UK visit. Highly highly recommend it. 💖
A. W.
Interesting flavour combinations and clearly talented kitchen staff let down on our visit by a lack of balance to certain dishes. The Arepas were the stand out dish. The Turbot the biggest disappointment, but the feedback given was received graciously and the service was excellent. Maybe just an off night, but as mains are 30 pounds + it's hard to give above 3 stars.

Amazing flavours, one of my new favourite restaurants. Will definitely come back
C.
Incredible, we had 9 vegetarian dishes, I didn't miss the meat, the flavors were incredible, as was the wine. Amazing food, good atmosphere, Scully is at the pass and a nice guy, who cares about the food and customers.
V. B. R.
Loved it! A very original and delicious combinations of flavours and textures Recommended!
Υ. K.
Great food and wine list. Relaxing environment and very friendly service.
C. I.
Had a fantastic meal here. Everything is innovative, beautifully presented and jam packed with flavour. Great service and very well adapted for the current covid regulations.
M. A.
Eye popping food art on a plate that tastes as good as it looks.
R. A.
Food was great (get the eggplant sambal dish and goat) but what made it even more special was the hospitality and ambience. 4 dishes and dessert between two people should be enough. Sit by the chefs counter for a good chat and possibly some surprise dishes!
L. L.
Went here for an anniversary meal before the theatre and it was an amazing experience. From the second we walked through the door we were looked after exceptionally and the food was out of this world. We wanted to stay longer and miss the theatre but decided to go and come back another time.
A. M.
Arguably one of the best restaurants I have been to. I got there around 6:15 and had no reservations but got a seat at bar. The food had a perfect balance of different tastes. The desert is a must get.
G. G.
Inspiring and delicious dishes, flavors, flowers, colors, lots of surprises. Staff warm, attentive, they let us sit for hours for our lunch. Best restaurant I have eaten in years. Bravi !
R. W. B.
Loved this place. The atmosphere, food and most of the drinks were great. Highly recommended.
T. M.
Must try the arepa which was amazing. Halibut was slightly overcooked. Octopus was cooked and seasoned perfectly but not a great match in my mind with the accompaniments. Brocoli was overcooked and least favourite. Pork was well cooked but a lot going on regarding flavour. Really innovative food and every dish was complex. Staff and service were fantastic
s. h.
A bit out of the way but worth the walk. A very unusual menu with ingredients I wouldn't have thought went together, but everything we had was delicious !! I wish I could have eaten more ! Lovely friendly service and one of the best bottles of Pecorino we've ever had!
M. W.
So nice to find a proper restaurant where the staff care so much about the food. From the introduction, the waitress service to the chefs. How do they create such incredible new flavours. Allow plenty of time to saviour the dishes.
H. C.
Excellent Excellent experience for having a lunch with my girl friend on this Saturday afternoon.
Professional service came along with a complexity taste of foods. The price is reasonable.
Must come and enjoy the food from the chief.
B. G.
Best dinner I have had in London in the last decade. Incredible nuanced combinations of complimentary flavors and textures. Sit at the bar and get to know the chefs and what goes into all of their prep.
N. H.
Superb. From start to finish one of my most memorable meals.
A. P.
Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. Second time as good as the first!
D. H.
We had dinner at Scully's on Saturday evening and as a fan of Nopi we had high expectations and were not disappointed. The food was interesting, with layers of flavours and explosions of taste - it really was a complete treat. Whilst everything was delicious, our stand out favourites were the Arepa with Aubergine and Labneh with a hint of Bergamot, the tender Octopus with the Black Garlic and the Beef Short Rib that transported us straight to Katz Deli NYC! Amazing food, great service and a lovely ambience will mean we will be back again very soon.
J. M.
The food was divine, deserves 6 stars. the service was swift but casual and friendly just as the atmosphere in the restaurant. I couldn't recomend this place more. I also was happily surprised when the bill came, very good value.
J. D.
In for an early dinner on a Thursday and it is indeed a lovely place to be. However of 5 dishes only two were really good and the others over done. We left most of the octopus as it was rubbery and the artichokes very inconsistent with one having so much pepper it made you wince.
Hopefully it is just an early whoopsie and this will change. I'll be back in 7 weeks to try the beef currently aging there.
M. S.
Dined at Scully last night and was very impressed with the experience. Fantastic setting in a great location and the food was exceptional. The snails & the beef would be my top recommendations. A fantastic new addition to London's food scene.
F. G.
Thank you very much for such an amazing evening at yours. It was mind blowing, I love what you’re doing and how you’re doing it. Keep up the good work and I’ll be back soon!
J. L.
This restaurant is totally outstanding, the staff are top of their game. The food...well let me just say it takes you off on a journey that blows your tastebuds into another dimension. This place is not to be missed 🙏🌈🦋🎂💝
S. R.
I really, really enjoyed the food here (except the beef tbh). We were sat by the kitchen and the chefs really added to the experience through great interaction. Overall, wonderful.
E. K.
Scully St James's is totally delightful restaurant. Every portion introduced many flavors perfectly matching each other. Atmosphere is relaxed and the service is great.
D. M.
Excellent food. Wines grossly overpriced. Overall too expensive for what you get. With the tasting menu and paired wines we were charged almost 40 pounds for service. Nice experience but never again.
S. F.
Fantastic food. Amazing range of flavours, and great cocktails too. Really good service too - mentioned a dietary restriction for one of the guests during booking, and all of the staff attending to us were made aware. Admittedly on the pricier side but with excellent food and great service, you certainly get your money’s worth.
S. T.
Brilliant food, really nice atmosphere, everything was quirky yet pristine.
The staff were simply the best thing about this place, they knew every little detail about the food. They could read situations well, and responded promptly.
S.
Fantastic food full of interesting and unusual flavours.
Service was incredibly on point, which is so rare in London. Maitre d’ running a first class operation here. Will definitely be back.
S. D.
Went to Scully for a birthday meal - Have been to Rovi and Ottolenghi but felt Scully was a cut above both - The Arepa was excellent! One of my favourite dishes and service was great too! Would definitely go again!
V. S.
The food was crazy tasty. Highly recommend the corn bread which I think is their signature dish. We could have eaten only that and we'd have been happy.
M. Z.
Amazing food: tasty and out of the ordinary. Great wine selection and superb service. Indeed one of my best experiences in London.
N. K.
Amazing! Wow wow wow! Such imaginative fusion of tastes styles and culture. Each dish was beautifully presented and the staff were attentive and helpful with their explanations and recommendations. We'll definitely be back!
F. A.
Really exceptional food tried three dishes which were all delicious.
Was seated by the counter which is great to watch the food preparation unfortunately even with the door shut was freezing cold to the point where I couldn't even order dessert and asked for the bill to get my coat back on and out of there. Shame could only watch the desserts not try them! Hence only 4 stars.
L. W.
Patissier and pantry excellent and fun to engage with from the counter.
A. F.
What a wonderful place. The food, the service was just fab. Very innovative fusion menu a must visit if you are seafood fan. Wonderful experience overall.
B.
This was an absolutely delicious lunch today. We arrived at 2 and were still eating when the staff had their lunch but they totally looked after us and there was nothing we didn’t enjoy. Have already booked for Sunday. 😀
A. A.
The service was brilliant. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious.
F. B.
Wow, lovely food for a special occasion
J. G.
Divine flavour combinations. No meat needed here. Exemplary cooking and slick front of house. Only oddity is the out of place pop(ish) music. Well worth a detour.
Q. M.
A gem. Exceptional food and drinks. Veal tartare and Porcelana chocolate sorbet are a must!
S. G.
Just the most delicious food. Definitely worth a visit.
R. E.
"modern classic" is what many restaurants aspire to be but struggle to achieve. Scully is one of if not the best new opening in London in 2018, fresh, innovative food that pushed traditional alongside a killer non interventionist wine list. A must go
r. b.
Amazing ambience, fantastic service and a great views of the chefs cooking up a storm. Will definitely excite and thrill the tastebuds!!!
Top marks at Scully Cook St James.
V.
Nice place, good vibe. The nibbles menu can be a little pretentious, or perhaps I need to go back to school to learn all those words. But the outcome was delicious and the service was good and friendly. Will recommend for an evening after work
N. L.
An incredible array of eclectic food, very attentive and helpful waiting staff, and an amazing atmosphere. Highly recommended. Would particularly recommend for vegetarians as there are a host of options available.
R. C.
Had an amazing lunch here. Cannot wait to get back to some great flavours and excellent cocktails. An absolute gem on a quiet square in this very busy area.
Z. M.
Delicious and creative food. Loved every single dish we tried. Really enjoyed our dinner here!
A. L. W.
Great food, with very interesting spices blends and cooking. The beef so tender it was melting in my mouth. A very good gustative discovery.
J. A.
Fusion restaurant with very stylish ambience, great cocktails and last but not least delicious food. Menu is inspired by Middle Eastern, Asian and Mediterranean cuisines.
S. B.
Blows your mind! Everything, bar nothing, was superb. If you’re in doubt, go!
K. J.
Service of the highest quality. The staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with the service.
J. L.
Absolutely fantastic! Insanely good food!!! The puffbeef tendons and brilliant, great selection of weird and wonderful cocktails and the staff are fantastic as well!
t.
Amazing experience at the chef’s table being entertained by Scully himself and being asked to try new desserts in exchange for feedback. Outstanding food. Highly recommended.
L. M.
Just incredible. Amazing food and wonderful service. Must be experienced. Best to go in groups as the tasting menu can be overwhelming for just 2.
m. l.
Best meal I’ve had in a long time. We sat on the chefs table, fantastic atmosphere and even better service. 100% worth a visit.
j. P.
Outstanding restaurant. Food is absolutely Incredible and staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Already went twice in a month as it the restaurant to eat when we go to London.
S.
Incredible service with food to match. One of my favorite places in London. Make sure to get the coconut tomato salad if they still have it!
R. A.
The food is always fresh and tasty, workers hands over excellent service. I like how neat it is and vibes. Would recommend to others.
B. L.
If i could i would like to rate it over 5 stars! Highly recommended!
D. K.
Amazing food. Best we had while traveling in Europe. Everything was very unique and the staff was amazing as well.
T. R.
Scully deserves massive praise for his innovative and original ideas. He takes food to the next level, making it interesting and light. All the staff so helpful and cheery. I would leave the staff to choose for you.
E.
Amazing experience from start to finish. Food creative and delicious. It was a friend's birthday dinner and staff (especially Will) made it really special. Highly recommended.
D. C.
Very good, a bit different (lots of smaller tasting dishes) and staff enthusiastic and excellent. Works well for a party of 6 and just let them bring the food...
M. S.
Innovative cuisine with a remarkable combination of tastes and textures that are unusual and extremely pleasing. Very friendly, low key service and relaxed atmosphere.
L. h.
This was wonderful experience. The food was a great infusion of oriental flavours and was amazing. Go you will not be disappointed.

Food delicious, fresh and exciting flavours. Service is fast but have been twice now and staff both times have been unfriendly and difficult to interact with.
S. S.
First time at this restaurant and we were very pleased and satisfied with the food.
J. C.
A very unique and enjoyable menu, excellent service, and great natural wine. We’ll be back next time we are in London.
R. T.
Hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was next level and the whole team are the best in the business. Try the octopus. And the arepa. And the chocolate ice cream. And everything else.
D. F.
Quite the experience. An interesting, yet surprisingly simple blend of many cuisines executed perfectly. Pork belly is a must.
A. B.
Can’t understand how there was someone who didn’t give this 5 stars! Was exceptional! They probably don’t have tastebuds. Best meal I’ve had anywhere for a long time! Wow!
A.
One of the best food experiences in a long time. The service was incredible and the food had a lot of different facets which made it a truly exceptional experience.
