Reviews of Serpentine Bar & Kitchen
K. L.
The best thing about this restaurant is obviously the view. You can sit and have a drink or have a meal overlooking the lake in Hyde Park which is beautiful. In summer it is always busy but it is worth waiting to have a table and have some drinks on a sunny day. Food in general is ok, you won't be disappointed.
A. M.
The location and the view - fantastic.
Sat outside with our breakfast. The whole ambience makes it worthwhile.
So one has to have a table first and then order. The drinks can be picked up next to the cash counter but the food is delivered at the table.
Had ordered shakshouka. It was nice.
A. E. C.
Just the right place to get a drink or something. Didn't try the food here, but looked good. The best part is obviously the beautiful view. So many options, snacks, proper meals, coffee, soft drinks. Be careful with the swans and ducks, they might steal your fries if you sit by the lake 😁
M. M.
Had a great vegan salad and a delicious Camden Pale Ale in a wonderful location. Can recommend sitting here by the water to pass an hour as I did. Will return again, as long as the weather is good of course!
FOLLOW for more reviews! Cheers.

A great spot in sunny day just overlooking hide park lake to have a bite and a beer!
We had a BBQ pulled pork burger and two lagers and we loved it .
L. S.
The place is nice and lovely to sit in and have lunch in the park. The view outside is relaxing and beautiful. Food is good nothing special but a bit expensive for what it is. Staff were friendly. We had chips and pizza which both was good.
S. V.
Stopped here for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning on a cloudy/rainy day in March and it was still very popular.
The café has plenty of seating inside and outside so we got an inside table quickly. The best thing about the café clearly is its location with lovely views over the Serpentine, mwhich feels great even on a rainy day. I had the vegan porridge with raisins/cinnamon and my husband had a breakfast sandwich. Both were good and price was reasonable for a London café in such a lovely location. My photos include the full menu. You go up to order your food and then it is delivered to the table.
Service was good despite it being busy and staff were going around cleaning the tables.
Lots of runners seem to stop here outside after their run for a coffee/snack and lots of families/couples having breakfast/brunch.
A. U.
We shared a pizza for lunch after a long walk in Hyde Park. I was positively surprised and the pizza was actually really good. Great view onto the pond, located at the beginning of Hyde park. Great venue for everyone, families and kids, couples, groups of friends or anyone who just wants to have a drink or some food. Friendly and helpful staff, quick and great service. You order at the bar and then you get served at the table.
L.
One of the best pizzas in London 👌
Very nice atmosphere, beautiful view, friendly staff. Will certainly go back!
A. M.
Always stop here for a coffee when walking through the park. Inside is clean and the cakes & sandwiches are well presented & look enticing. The staff are friendly and helpful. Can get very busy but the staff handle things well.
M. M.
A bit disorganised, long queue to order, ovetall good place to chill by the lake.
R. F.
Very nice lake view cafe in Hype Park, you must come and have a coffee and tea facing the lake , it is so relaxing
N. E.
Super overpriced drinks, I got a mojito without mint and in a broken plastic cup for £8.5, but I guess with a location like that they can get away with it. Really great place to hang out, just on the lake.
S. C.
Nice atmosphere and great views to the lake. However the customer service was very poor
T. G.
Even on a rainy day it was nice to be able to relax and watch the world go by ever so slowly next to the Serpentine. Good service, clean and a good choice of drinks, snacks and even wood fired pizzas on the menu.
The entertainment is provided by the birds; the heron patrolling for scraps of food, the young geese landing on the lake in a display of uncontrolled splashing and the moore hens ducking down to find food for their young 🐦
N. N. P.
Delicious coffee and beautiful location. However, if one expects to use the faculties during their stay, I would highly recommend making the two minute walk towards a public bathroom to save themselves from an incredibly memorable experience.
g. d. l. f.
Great landscape!! The food is fine. The pulled pork sandwich is highly recommended.
K. U.
Great place to grab a snack, or a bit of breakfast, the view over the Serpentine with ducks, geese, swans, and other birds I didn't recognize is lovely. The choice of food wasn't huge, but the available dishes were tasty.
Service is a bit slow, but hey, at least you have a nice view whilst waiting.
J. W.
Full kitchen with a full English breakfast. Food was good but service was a little slow. However, we enjoyed sitting next to the Serpentine while waiting. Lots of birds to watch and looking across Serpentine from the dining area was spectacular, like a painting.
J. D.
Great place to have breakfast and the coffee is fab. It's popular with the birds too!
C. L.
A modern Cafe that seems to float over the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park. A tip is to get there early as it is very popular
C. L.
Location is lovely but some (a couple) of the staff are certainly not trained in customer care and don't understand the concept of 'no ice' in a drink. Others are great and helpful. Food is ok and we'll priced for area.
F. S.
Lovely cafe overlooking the Thames, perfect stop for cyclists for a quick coffee refuel.
D. M.
This is a good spot to stop and have a break while strolling in Hyde Park. The view is fabulous and the terrace big enough to find a seating.
However food choice is limited and the queuing inside is not a great experience.
Coffee was good.
K. B. T.
Recommended for short breaks if u are at hyde park, I love the fish&chips , pizza and burgers
M. F.
Gorgeous views of the serpentine, The indoors and outdoors area were very clean. Food and drink surprisingly affordable given london prices. A semi-quiet spot for lunch on a sunny day to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would highly reccomend.
M. R.
Lovely place to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by.
S. C.
Lovely place to grab some pizza in Hyde Park, good shelter from the rain and lovely view to the water. They have a big menu near the entrance where you can see what to buy. They take card, etc. You can eat in, however there aren’t many seats available, especially if it’s raining, and the tables are quite small and close together.
D. C.
Busy and pricey. £3.30 coffee stuff rude but good views of serpentine lake
J. F.
Nice place with beautiful views on serpentine! Especially great at the sunset
M. U.
That outdoor seating by the lake on a sunny day👌🏻 On top of it, the coffee is crazy good! Our barista knew what he was doing! Will definitely go there again for that coffee on a sunny day! ☀️
M. A.
lovely and warm day. Lovely place to watch the sun set.
J. K.
Lovely location to chill and enjoy nature in the middle of a big city. On warm nice days like today's it's chaos. People can come in and out as they please and whoever manage to grab a table or spot people leaving is a winner basically... Drinks were fine and didn't try the food but was looking OK too.
G. F.
Food was delicious and arrived quickly, and it was great to be sat on the river! Unfortunately the toilets weren’t the nicest, but still clean. There was a limited choice of gluten-free items, and the aperol spritz was a little disappointing.
D. B.
Nice little restaurant by the serpentine in Hyde Park. Reasonably priced for London
M.
I would like to give 5 stars! Tables are so dirty ( sticky ). They should mprove the hygiene on the toilets. Rest of everything was perfect. Especially grill salmon.
F. Z.
This place was amazing before covid . They have many food selection before . Unfortunately they change the menu this year and its horrible. Service slow . Price up . But coffee still good .
P. R.
Excellent bar with amazing view!
A. A.
Beautiful location. Very busy but found a table. The the food is overpriced and tasteless. The pizza was dry and hard
T. W.
The Serpentine Bar and kitchen has just been refurbished, it's looking fresh and clean (not that there was any thing wrong with it last year in 2018). It has good disabled access as there are no steps on the premises as there are ramps everywhere.
Prices are extremely reasonable considering its such a tourist trap and there aren't any other large restaurants so close to the Serpentine.
Plenty of outside seating, but inside can be noisy and seating inside can be limited if the weather is not good.
There are male, female and disabled toilets here. Staff are friendly service is quick and there is a good menu for eating in as well as a good variety of food to choice from to take away.
One MAJOR problem I have here is the cake counter. The cakes are not covered so people are free to finger the food on offer and put it back. Feel free to sneeze over the cakes and walk off leaving other people to pick up your germs. Not nice. I would not eat a cake here if you paid me.
Enjoy your day.
P. M.
We've still not eaten here and are waiting for our food. But the place is packed on a week day. The Flat White was great though. The Cafe also has a magnificent view of the park and lake. The food has arrived now and looks great.
I. A.
Very efficient service, great food, the sun is on till late on the patio area but closes before evening.
t.
Good place to grab a quick bite (pizza, pasta, fish, burger etc.), a drink (I recommend Camden Hells lager!), something sweet (try their muffin selection) or just to rest and enjoy the view on a beautiful day.
The prices are a bit high (but it's London, so everything is expensive!), but the place is clean and if you manage to get a table outside on a sunny day then it's all worth it.
The service is quick and the bathrooms are clean.
A. D.
Fantastic breakfast options. Quality food and location. I sat outside with a great view of the water.
A. B.
This is One of the best bar that i've ever bene in London is a continental bar, you can find son many things to eat, also fresh fruit. This Place Is in the lake of Hide park and that's the reason for the thing that i saldi later. You can start here for a entire day beacuse you have the lake the ducks and the other waterbirds and you are so chilled here and if Is a Sunny Day Is perfect, so rare, but perfect.
P. M.
A bit on the pricey side but a great setting in Hyde Park. It has Gluten Free and vegetarian options. Overlooking the water it's the perfect pit stop after a long day exploring the park
K.
Lots of food options, even if you want healthy or vegetarian. Great for friends and family. I visited during the summer and there was a BBQ going too after lunchtime in the outdoor seated area. There’s a bar inside and two outdoors. It was very busy. The staff were nice, but busy also as you can imagine. One of my friends had a dog and they’re happy for dogs to be in the outdoor area. The view from the venue is really lovely. This was my second visit to the venue.
G. 0.
Either in the summer, winter or any other time to sit and watch the swans, ducks or other birds on the Serpentine either in the warmth of summer or cold of winter, a coffee or a beer from the Bar and Kitchen is well worth it. There may even be an art installation that you can watch too. Chill and be happy in this busy carless place.
K. K.
Great pizza. Good alcohol prices. Nice views
I. S.
Stopped off for a coffee kids needed a pit stop. Lovely outside seating clean. Service a little slow but central London tourist hotspot so to be expected. Coffee sandwiches two kids lunch boxes circa 25 pounds. If your in the park feet sore and need a pit stop it does the job.
a. d.
Absolute delight! Scenic cafe right on the water! Swans , ducks and pigeons all around. Great coffee and food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Can't go wrong
A. H.
I had the breakfast bap and poached eggs&avacado on toast. Both were amazing.. Bacon were crisp and beautiful, poached eggs were excellent. Runny yolk and great tasting. İf you’re in Hyde Park, don’t miss out on this place.
a. a.
Good restaurant on the banks of the serpentine. wood oven for pizza, you can eat fish and chips and beef burger. A little bit pricey. The food is tasty.
H. A. H.
A place where you can relax and enjoy the view. Not the best place for food or drinks.
M. E.
There is not much to choose places for lunch in the park but it was a great place, plenty of space, the burgers and salads were fab final tab was a little expensive but it was money well spent. We had a fabulous day
m. a.
The people who work there they are nice 👍
t. c.
Stopped here on way to winter wonderland, had couple of cheeky 🍸. Reasonable prices for middle of Hyde Park!!, friendly staff!!.
M. T.
Way too busy for the obvious reasons, this restaurant is magnificently located. It is probably also most used for random rendezvous because of its landmark nature inside the mighty Hyde Park.
The coffee was good, food was average, a bit overpriced it seemed.
S. G.
Really good sandwich and cake. Hot foods available too. Great view of the Serpentine while you eat inside or outside.
m. a.
A special place in Hyde Park, and a beautiful view of the lake, my order was pizza and coffee, which was delicious
P. K.
Great summer spot in the Hyde Park. Nice Serpentine view (lake & park), very nice all day long but especially for the sunset. Good for a coffee, pint of cider or a beer, together with a meal. They serve wooden oven pizzas, home made burgers, etc. with space outside and indoor.
J. M.
Beautiful to escape from the city for an hour, sit by the lake and get some healthy food.
A. H.
Can be quite busy but it gets sunlight quite late in winter which is great. It also has a lovely view of the Serpentine.
L. G.
Did not eat or drink here but the views across the lake were lovely. Hyde park is beautiful. The Carp in the lake are huge too.
A. H.
Quick service. Food was just ok.
V. S.
Very Nice location. Outdoor seating overlooking the water. There is also plenty of covered and indoor seating. Food is OK but nothing great. Fish and chips, burgers, pizza and so on. Selection of beer and alcohol is adequate. Gets crowded on weekends and holidays and on nice weather days in particular. The location is superb with great views and right by walking and bike trails.
T. D.
Been here a few years ago, and back here again (2019) with a friend . She was amazed by this place ! I mean, yes it's a little overpriced, the there is so much positive points , dish are correct/good , the view is amazing , the atmosphere is really nice etc. A must do in Hyde Park
P. R.
Setting is great, coffee is good (Benugo). Food is ok but service sloooow. Don’t visit if you’re pushed for time.
B. B.
Teracce of the bar was perfect place to finish Hyde park trip. Pizza was great but take care of go wind.
P. B.
Only had a coffee, which was nice and hot. I sat outside and it was very relaxing overlooking the lake. Its a good place to come and take the weight off your feet.
R. M.
Very nice place to stop. Nice coffee. Shame the woman at coffee counter had such bad manners.
C.
Great food, great view, tad cold inside the building and can get quite crowded, but nice food.
К. С.
Very tasty and great view of the serpentine lake and feeding swans, ducks and geese. A little bit tricky to order if you are alone: you order at the bar and tell a table number, but somebody can take it before you are done paying and getting your drink.
F. F.
Awesome place for a breakfast and lunch 😋
We always go here after a long workout with Be Military Fit 💪🏽🏆
It’s one of the most lovely places for eating and a stunning view 😍
F.
A bit expensive, but OK coffee, great location and nice view of the Serpentine.
Recommend against "red berry and flower ice tea", has a very bland and un-natural taste.
Z. A.
Great location but I found the food range they serve is limited and it was a bit dirty
J. H.
Food and drink and was great and friendly service, enjoyed sitting next to the Serpentine in the sun and watching the world go by
A. D. S.
Great location. Beautiful view across the lake
A. F.
Very nice view, pizza is good, some of the employees are not friendly at all, the place is not very clean outside
B.
Fast, friendly & efficient service with the QR code & app, enjoy sipping iced latte admiring the stunning serene view of the sun-kissed Serpentine with swans, gulls, geese & ducks gliding by
O. D.
Great walk in the park and great pizza
e. k.
Beautiful view and very tasty food 👍👌
T. T. B.
The food here was pretty good, portions were a decent size, reasonably priced for where you are, and what you get. The burgers are really good, staff were helpful, it was busy but not over crowded, and it was a lovely place to eat, great views, and great atmosphere! Down side- my chips were cold, and they have one sauce dispenser for all the customers at the till instead of having little pots / sachets (I'm all for saving the planet but I'm sure there's a better way to do this!) Still, I would 100% go back, and no doubt would highly recommend this place
J. Z.
Nice view, big cups of coffee. Good place for a quick refreshment.
A. Z.
very beautiful view over the lake and nice seats outdoors and indoors with pigeons flying surrounding
some tables in the outdoors were not clean
most of the time too busy with long queues
I waited more than 30 min to get a coffee
the coffee was very good, filling and tasty but a little bit expensive
the toilets are for customers only, moderately clean and haves hot water
overall it is a nice place but not so perfect
N. F.
Perfect location with beautiful views
T. H.
Waterside bar and restaurant in Hyde Park. Not my favourite park but OK for somewhere to sit outside on a hot day. Just a bit too crowded for me. Nice views.
H. M.
An absolute Amazing place, staff is super friendly and the sunset there is just 👍🏽 my favourite so far
D. P.
Expensive, but very nice location and tasty food. The bathrooms need some attention though..
P. M.
Superb please. Great food, lots of space, wonderful view. Bring their your family and friends and you will not be disappointed.
J. J.
Lovely View.
Good Food.
(Mushroom Pizza Recommended)
Friendly Staff.
A. L.
Beautiful setting, & views of the city were amazing!
Only 4 stars due to the ridiculous amount for drinks.
Breakfast in morning we now wished we would of gone to fast food outlet near by. Again prices ridiculous amount of money, £5.00for a orange juice... Really!
J. V.
My best friend and myself enjoyed a delicious Breakfast toasted sandwich here. It was lovely and hot and hit the spot. There was a varied menu. Plenty of seating inside and outside and you have a splendid view of the lake.
A. H.
Not a really my kind of bar, but some people may like to chill just one step from the lake. Reasonable prices and quite good food. Mind the weather.. it was quite hard to visit this place when it was 30C outside - only few tables had umbrellas and the building part of bar had turned into a greenhouse.
E. P.
We just had coffee which was very good! The stuff was very friendly! The location in the park and the view is awesome!
S. B.
Amazing location, but the staff Is not really well organized.
E. C.
Delicious food
Can get quite busy but they seem to cope.most the time
C. i. H.
Great restaurant overlooking the Serpentine. We visited when the weather was good and we had a gorgeous view of the water. Food was good, I enjoyed my hamburger and my friend loved their vegetarian pizza. I will definitely visit again - you can't beat this location.
P.
Pizza is good. Coffee is good. Nice outdoor seating by the lake. Plenty of spaces available
M. K.
Enjoy the view and amazing baileys coffee
t. k.
Overcrowded but fine drinks and good coffee, nice view of lake
R. S.
We had a brilliant breakfast here, sausages bacon and eggs are proper farm shop quality. Definitely recommend for breakfast
G. T. G. C. T. B. T.
Grabbed a coffee here and found out there's a place to eat here ideally located in the park overlooking the lake, they have good helpful and friendly staff!
P.
Great outside seating space with beautiful views of the water and the park.
D. S.
Really nice venue. Enjoyed the poached egg and avacado on toast. Would go again
G. M. S.
So nice place good relax beer food ,atmosphere
T. N. K. K.
They serve the tastiest churros with chocolate sauce. Lovely view too on a sunny day.
N. A.
A fabulous kitchen with many nice choices for breakfast, lunch, and tea. Seating area is great with the serpentine surrounding the restaurant. However, tables are not very clean and staff can act snobbishly or unfriendly sometimes.
A. C.
I love this place, right in the middle of the park, next to the lake and with a great view to the sunsets. The vibe is casual and relaxed like in a pub. They have a small but nice selection of food and drinks. The perfect stop after a walk in the park!
J. F.
We stopped here for a cup of coffee while we were at Hyde Park. They have tons of seating and wonderful views of the water. Plenty of outdoor seating so you can watch the water birds too!
R. B.
Always way understaffed for the number of tourists (let alone the locals), food is over priced and be prepared to wait 45 minutes for a pizza
M. G.
Good food. A little over priced, but good portions and taste. Lovely to sit outside by the lake...watch the boating experience. Beware - aggressive birds are out to get you ( aka your food! )
E. A.
Best thing about this place is the view and peace and quiet, grab a hot chocolate and just relax, such a lovely place in the city.
S. C.
Beautiful view, food ok (tables sticky).
A. Z.
Didn't realise that the midday menu is released after a certain time! Had this pizza, but it came with no cheese
I. H.
Food is fine but just too busy on a sunny day.
K.
Visit this lovely cafe during weekdays to avoid the crowd.
Y. G.
What's the next best place to be at when you are in Hyde Park? It has to be the Serpentine! Great refreshments for you to enjoy by the likeside as you watch the birds play around you. Do not miss the wood fired 🍕 It is absolutely delish!
K. V.
Location wise it's in a very good spot. You can get to eat while watching the swans and ducks swimming in the river.
E. B.
really lovely atmosphere, they also accommodated for 7 of us
S. A.
The best vegan burger that I've tried so far. The place is amazing and many good option to choose. Had a lovely time out with my friends. 😘❣️💯🤗
A. G.
Nice location friendly staff n good breakfast..nice few
A. B.
Great morning coffee. Lovely professional team, pop in you know you want to.
B. B.
The location is amazing, the building is comfortable, the food was average.
G.
Iconic location.. unfortunately most of the staff were half asleep and pretty useless (at both tills)
v. f.
Very good, staff polite and helpful, clean and good food
J. D.
Lovely food and beautiful views across St James Park
J. N.
Lovely restaurant and cafe and also outside hatch, super busy so expect to wait
s. r.
Very nice view and a lot of seats available inside and outside.
S.
Lovely place with a great view of the lake. Their hot chocolate is great and the people there were very nice I spent about 4/5 pounds for this hot chocolate with whipped cream and mini marshmallows.
R. B.
Lovely location in the hart of hyde park. Really enjoyed the shakshuka (newly discovered breakfast for me)
S. B.
Mild enough to sit outside with tea and coffee, lunchtime pit stop
S. M.
Great place to sit and eat, good food, great views
F. M.
Clean and tidy place. Upscale restaurant which is near to Knightsbridge. It's located inside Hyde park.
M. H.
Delicious
A. L.
Good, fast served food. Ordering app is useless but fast from till. Plain feel but good views.
A. V.
Great view over lake but cakes expensive and stale only decent one is Patel de nata (Italian custard tart) coffee is in take away cup - yuk on the plus side they have oat and soya milk 😋seating outside and inside but inside is not that comfortable ( benches and some wooden chairs.
K. H.
Nice place in the morning. Restful but quite expensive spot in the Hyde Park
S.
I think this is one of the best kitchen/restaurant environment I have been to and one good cod.
C. K.
Only had coffee, but seems like a nice place. Lovely service
F. S. A.
Good cafe and resturant on the big lake in the Hyde Park Garden
C. H.
Great place to eat in the middle of an iconic royal park. Exceptional views over the serpentine, where you can watch the wildlife and boats go about the pond.
B. V. G.
Lovely spot for some lunch and views of Serpentine lake
M. H.
Nice coffee, good location, Sat outside looking over the Serpentine. Dry scone, not fresh.
M. H.
Great place to eat, roasted cauliflower is a total winner 🏆
V. C. G.
It's always Pimms o'clock!
B. B.
Nice and beautiful place directly in Hyde Park. Just a short walk from Kensington or Buckingham Palace.
The Food is good. I chilled with a Black Tea on the outside terrace with a beautiful view.
S. J. (.
Nice fresh food, great location and views over the water
S. H.
Amazing views. Great location. Very large seating area inside and out.
Due to Covid you scan a QR code at your table and order online.
We only had coffees and hot chocolate but they tasted great. The food looked good with homemade Pizzas and other foods but we didn't try them. Next time we will.
You could sit there for hours watching the wildlife and enjoy the views.
We will be back. (To try the food)
E. R.
Pretty good for a snack at the park. They sell beer as well so that’s always a plus.
J. A.
Great place to take a break while walking in the park
R. S.
Not half bad, prices are reasonable and it's in a good spot in the park. They forgot one item in the order but otherwise no complaints.
N. C.
Food a bit pricey but the view is very nice.
L. D.
Good place fo eat after a walk in the park.
S. G.
Fantastic view over the water. Lots of swans, geese and ducks to see. Had the tea amd coffee and enjoyed them both. Definitely worth a visit.
p. r.
Decent breakfast, not too badly priced but worth it for the view. The 10% delivery charge to bring the food out to the terrace is ridiculous though.
K. W.
Nicely situated by side of the lake with good views across it ,plenty of food and drink options.
A. B.
Great place for a hot chocolate in the park. Recommend going for the indulgent one☺
O. K.
Good location
Don't buy anything
.. the queue takes forever 😡
D. S.
It was pleasant stay. Friendly staff. No vegan cakes though.
F. D.
Nice restaurant next to water, great to enjoy a nice day.
N. M.
Cafe in the middle of hyde park, nice view on lake
S. A.
Good selection of food and drinks. Nice location on bank of Serpentine with outdoor seating.
J. D.
Nice cafe on side of Serpentine. Had lunch here, large fish with chips peas and tartare sauce. Good value for money. Book on app. Quick service and good selection.
R. W.
Great place for coffee with views of the Serpentine Lake and Hyde Park, it is usually a very busy place, so be prepared to queue, the food I have not tried but the coffee with the view is pretty good.
A. S.
The delux hot chocolate cost me £5. I was hoping for something fantastic, sadlyy not. Marshmallows were tiny, caramel sauce all but non existent, and hot chocolate was poor. Not impressed.
M. W.
Great covid measures in place, order online and table service. Friendly staff and lovely lakeside location
A. C.
It was a lovely time. Went with a close friend. The wait for the pizza was a little long but the food tasted fantastic, just a little pricey, but I don't expect different when in London.
B. R.
Expensive café, but in a unique location. Great terrace with views over the serpentine. Tasty baked goods, but again - definitely not cheap!
S. v. R.
Great location, decent coffee, but overpriced.
M. N.
CleN friendly staff value for money all in all wonderful place well done guys
R. D.
If you want to good food, this is the place and at a sensible price for London.
A. P.
The location is amazing! Food and drinks are good, too!
S.
Dirty and bad food not even for a break after a long walk
M. K.
The area is amazing, smack bang in the middle of the park. The food was good, the views even better. Covid 19 guidelines being adhered to. Lost a star as I ordered the pizza, although good, have had much much better pizza for 11/12 pounds.
B. S.
Very nice Cafe.. on one side of Serpentine Lake and the Park. Great views!
R. B. (.
On fine summer days you can feel the breeze in the park while enjoying a cocktail and watching the ducks swim in the lake. A very relaxing experience.
M. C.
Nice menu, good variety, lovely atmosphere, not too pricey, smiley staff, helpful. Great location for kicking back, watching people & the birds. Whats not to like.
C. D.
Surprisingly tasty burger with a scenic view. Not too pricey either for such premium location. Perfect for lunch break or less formal business meeting.
R. B.
Definitely can't beat the view, particularly if it's a nice day but given the location it's always teeming with people so good service is difficult. We struggled to get the QR code ordering system to work and food/ drinks are pricey as you can expect.
P. G.
Great place to sit outside and watch the wildlife.
M. A.
Nice setting and great coffee.
They have a complicated phone ordering system. If you only want drinks, suggest you join the takeaway queue then find a table like we did.
P. A.
Amazing staff, beautiful view and great place to relax!
K. B. K.
One of the great places to have a coffee in London with an amazing view, they serve breakfast, lunch, snacks and different types of cold and hot drinks, the staff was serving us happily and friendly.
A. M.
Beautiful location with plenty of outdoor seating. Some of the seats do have umbrellas to protect from the sun and rain but does not protect much sun.
The food and drinks are slightly overpriced but that’s central London for you. Overall it’s very relaxing apart from the constant wasps flying around trying to get a taste of anything sweet like cider or ice cream!
D. S.
When it closes they move you on and block it off, even it you're outside. Very strange
A. A. T.
It has a warm environment and good service
G. C.
A decent café next to a big pond, and lovely view. Would go again if in the area.
The family had a break here, where we enjoyed the view over the pond and associated water creatures.
The hot chocolate drinks were good, and the cakes were acceptable.
J. C. D.
My boyfriend proposed here!!
K. H.
Great outdoor seating overlooking Hyde Park and lake
D. P.
Perfect place for breakfest, sitting outside. Lovely place in the middle of Hyde park.
E. R.
Lovely when it's not busy. Perfect escape in the heart of London
J. C.
Very busy, service and selection good.....well done xx
V. K.
Amazing location. An old time classic to spend long summer evenings and sunsets. Its garden is probably one of the top locations to enjoy outdoor dining and drinking
S. P.
Excellent pizza, even the vegetarian one.
P. B.
Was large, plenty of seating, toilets, overlooks the serpentine with its many boats, and birds, swans and ducks. Prices were a little high, but we are in London,
F. M.
Clean and tidy eatery. Located inside Hyde Park. It's near Winter Wonderland.
H. K.
Great place for a break when out cycling in central London
L. H.
Quick service, good food and great location. Good value considering the beautiful area. Couple next to us had a long wait due to problems with the app but all good for us!
R. G.
Food was fantastic, the service not so much, reluctant to seat us it seemed because we had dogs (even though dog friendly) said no spare tables, we stepped aside and then watched 2 groups let straight through. Ended up walking round and seated ourselves at one of the many vacant tables anyway.
I. S.
Beautiful view and very good coffee!
C. T. R.
Pleasant with very good breakfast food and excellent coffee. Eat indoors or by the lake. Best when it's not crowded.
Y. J. K.
Latte just average but the view is magnificient
J. B.
Great views, excellent service, clean and tidy. Would recommend.
T. D.
A busy place most of the time, excellent food and drinks. Good for families
I. M.
I love the architecture and the views of the Serpentine restaurant. Spectacular on a warm sunny day. I've only had the coffee (delicious), so can't comment on the food, however, it all looks delicious. The prices look reasonable too.
P. L.
Lovely staff friendly people nice place to let your hair down, great entertainment, very safe envirement.
J. R.
Great setting but don't expect to have a cup of tea in anything other than a paper cup on the weekend.
D. P. S.
Its a good bar and restaurant in Hyde park but the only issue was that they don't allow takeaways, you have to eat in the restaurant area itself.
ع. ع.
Very nice place to set and enjoy the view, coffee is good, food is good breakfast, or launch which I tried both. The lamb burger was just amazing.
M. A.
Good food, service can be better
S. S.
Good spot to stay when the weather is nice. Decent bar with food options. Slightly over priced.
A. M. K. M.
This is a nice little place in Hyde park. I tried the beef burger and chips. They were fine.
T. R.
All good. Sunday was too noisy and crawdy
J. M.
Good food with helpful staff but prices are quite high.
R. W.
Great view by the lake, with plenty of seating. A wide selection of good and drinks are available and the sangria is especially good.
S. F.
Great service, lovely coffee. Take away pizza was tasty, fresh, cooked in front of us and only took 7 minutes! Great pit stop in Hyde Park...social distancing rules in place and easy to observe.
L. O.
Didn't eat here but there are nice outdoor seating areas to enjoy the view
S. W.
A welcoming sight after walking length and breadth of The Serpentine. Cold beer, snacks, sunshine and beautiful scenery. What's not to like!
R. K.
Great cafe with beautiful views across the lake. I visited during Covid and was table service indoors, just a slight disappointed to see them serving in disposable coffee cups.
V. S.
The cafe itself was very nice and I liked that the bakes were very fresh. There is a lovely view of Hyde park and it is a good place to relax and have a coffee. I wouldn't recommend having a meal however, as it was too expensive for what we got. I tried and was not too impressed by the chicken wrap, which was quite small and lacked flavour . However, I did like their muffins.
B. F.
It is nice for lunch at the Hyde Park. Has a nice selection of food and drinks. You have indoors and outdoors seating. Sometimes is full and it is hard to find a place to sit but that reflects how nice the location is and why so many people go there. You are right by the lake in the middle of one of the best parks in Europe
A. C.
The view...the grill on the terrace is always good.
R. V.
Your normal greasy spoon cafe; but great location with stunning view!!
p. w.
Lovely spot right by lake, good for bird watching and people watching. Good coffee and sandwiches,if a bit pricey.
H. D.
Gorgeous views across the lake. Food was really lovely, but took quite a long time for how quiet it was (30min), and limited breakfast menu.
N. M.
Honestly lovely place to take a break after strall by serpentine.
E. P.
Good selection of food and drinks. Order on your phone. Fast service, nice view of the lake. Watch out for the hungry birds.
V. A.
Nicely set out in the corner of the lake. Great for sunsets. Will not go hungry either. Few beers are even served on tap.
L. B.
Great menu, beautiful views
L. C.
A very pleasant place to have a relaxing lunch by the Serpentine.
F. A.
Nice atmosphere and food. The service needs to be improved.
F.
A nice place to spend a few hours relaxing
A. L.
Great location right on the water of the serpentine. Drinks and food available, it's a Benugo so if you are familiar with that company you will know the kind of food and drinks are available. Sandwiches and wraps, fries etc. Check out the menu for further info. The outside seating area is very cool as you are right there on the water but it's let down by the decor of the interior, it feels and looks like a canteen.
T. M.
Always a welcome stop off when walking through Hyde Park.
I. G.
This is my favorite place because of the view but food is good as well !
I. B.
It's set in a beautiful environment, the building is designed to allow guests to admire the lake with it's animal life. Surrounded with trees some of them were originally planted in the 17th century when the lake Serpentine was erected. The bar and restaurant offers a friendly and healthy service. It's a great place for all ages!...to stop & rest ....in the heart of London!
N. D.
Very nice cafe to spend in with friends. The lake and the ducks lovely. Easier to walk through Hyde Park to get there.
n. n.
The pizza is great and I loved the hot chocolate, a nice place to stop for lunch or a snack on a walk around the park
J. H.
Possibly the best pizza I've had in years
P. D.
Woefully inefficient coffee ordering system, somebody needs to bring in law and order to this place
C. H.
Lovely Place within the Hyde Park,
J. A.
A good place to sit and grab a pub style meal or snack with wonderful views of the Serpentine Lake and Hyde Park. Food was tasty and swiftly served. Would have been a five stars as good for families or groups but lost a star as not so single traveller friendly. It has a table number system, so if you have managed to bag a table outside as a lone diner then proceed to the bar to order it is likeky that the table will be mistakenly taken by others.
D. V.
Amazing view.. excellent vibe..
V. S.
Very relaxing place to rest your legs after a walk in Hyde Park.
S.
Convenient place for a quick bite and hydration but be prepared for exorbitant prices and very crowded seating areas at peak times. Expect to pay £2 for 50cl bottle of water
W. A.
Nice coffee with amazing lake view
Y. G.
What's the next best place to be at when you are in Hyde Park? It has to be the Serpentine! Great refreshments for you to enjoy by the likeside as you watch the birds play around you. Do not miss the wood fired 🍕 It is absolutely delish!
Z. C.
Nice
K. Y. Y.
You should try fish & chips here!
V. *.
Beautiful place especially on a sunny day, don't be shy to share a table
c. R.
Lively, clean ambience. Excellent location. Admirable services
B. R.
Expensive café, but in a unique location. Great terrace with views over the serpentine. Tasty baked goods, but again - definitely not cheap!
Y. S.
Nice location next at Hyde Park
F. A.
The food especially the Caesars salad and steak was top notch and with the beer made my days ..thanks arthur
M. C.
Lovely place to stop off for a coffee or beer. If it's sunny you've got the option of sitting outside looking out over the serpentine, if not such nice weather then it's a nice environment inside as well. Food looked ok but I didn't have anything. Was pretty quiet, more people should go, I will definitely be back.
A. G.
Nice place. Enough seating space. Fresh and yummy food. Friendly staff. Overall Good.
D. R. (.
The location of the cafe over the lake is superb, wonderful sceneries, took lots of great shots.
N. N.
Often very busy, the food is reasonably priced though the menu is not very extensive. Seated outside if you can this is a very pleasant spot.
Y. H.
Called into the Serpentine whilst on a flying visit to London. It was a truly excellent place to soak up the atmosphere of Central London in the greenery of Hyde Park coupled with the excellent menu which didn't disappoint. Kudos to the kitchen and waiting staff they couldn't do enough for me as I was travelling with an autistic adult. The food was delicious well prepared by the chefs and well executed by the diligent and pleasant waiting staff. I will definitely be returning to this lovely spot a positive experience on every level. It was encouraging to see the Head Chef weaving his way through tables checking on service and the welfare of his customers
Really nice place well worth the money
A. g.
Bit pricey. The app didn't work but after approaching some assistants they weren't very bothered. The food was ok
T. M.
Perfect location, but that doesn't reflect at all on the business in anyway.
I didn't find it too crowded, however I don't believe staff really could care too much whether it is or not. The only practice of social distancing in place was a queue system.
Drinks could only be purchased with food, which seemed unnecessary, and I can only see as a money maker. Drinks obscenely expensive, along with the compulsory packet of crisps.
C. L.
Very disappointing. Web page said open until 7pm arrived at 6.20pm started to order on QR codes then everything turned to unavailable! Asked the server what had happened and was advised 'oh we close at 6pm" ! Menu should also have been closed off before this to prevent customers from being disappointed. Advised sandwiches and crisps were available!
p.
Fish and chips, fresh, burger is good too.
Only issue is service. Have to hunt for cutlery, and my order has been wrong two out of two times. But it's ok, not the end of the world.
Lovely setting of course.
K. S.
Love this place. Their coffee is great and the atmosphere is quite and peaceful especially in the morning
G. S.
Great settings. Run appallingly. BBQ had no system for managing orders - customers just shouting "I'm waiting for one of these". Confusing mix of table and self serve. Mediocre food at high price. Friend had to take back raw burger. Overrun with pigeons outside.
C. M.
Nice views and quick service but was not expecting pizzas...
s. s.
Lovely place by the river. Ideal for summer.
S. H.
Lovely place to sit and you definitely pay for the location. 2 large glasses of rose with crisps was £18 after a long queue and almost getting no glasses! But the view at sunset is gorgeous, we came for an after work treat which was worth it but we wouldn't stay for a long time.
M. H.
Nice view and location but food is overpriced and very average. Web page for ordering food and drink is not easy to use.
E. G.
Lovely! good food and friendly staff and clientele. The view was lovely with plenty of ducks and swans.
B. M.
Best place in London, period. The French fries are good, the sausages are also good! The service is very nice. The location is great, it is near a lake, in the middle of Hyde park! The atmosphere is great! Why? Because most of the restaurant is outside! The comfort is average, with picnic tables and wooden seats inside. Please give this review a "helpful"!
G. K.
Busy for a Sunday noon lunch visit at 2pm. Good food, pleasant staff, lovely views..but not enough seating for the number of visitors. Toilets clean and well maintained though located inside the main restaurant.
H. W.
The food was delicious we had the fish and chips... just a little pricey tho! Also the hot chocolate was only tepid.. perhaps they need to warm the milk a bit more!
Also disappointing your unable to see out of any if the windows due to some sort of works outside! And the toilets were not very clean this time when I visited..
S. P.
Beautiful modern building in glorious surroundings, with a direct and impressive view of Hyde Park's Serpentine. Outdoor seating is also available and welcome through the summer months. These are the most positive aspects one could mention in its description because the food and service were mediocre at best and rather unfairly priced for what was received. There are few, if any other catering options in this area so visitors have extremely limited choices and are practically forced to attend this spot if caught out by hunger. More affordable and child friendly offerings are required and a higher level of customer service would greatly improve this experience.
C.
Great place to have lunch over looking the lake and watching the antics of the birds, never seen birds so calm in among people.
S. C.
If the weather is good, the tables outside are the best place to sit and enjoy the evening. Drinks are overpriced but the ambience makes it worth a shot.
U. T. J.
Very nice view with excellent pizza 😊
c. k.
Fabulous location with the option to sit outside or inside, plenty of tables. Quick table service even though it's busy.
The price reflects the location but I expected at least edible food.
The pizzas are cooked in an authentic wood burn oven. However the pizza was over cooked so it was brittle and arrived cold, along with semi warm chips and all the yummy looking cakes we chose were stale. Disappointing when you are entertaining family from abroad.
I. A.
This is one of the great area where you can enjoy the food and the coffee with the view of the Hyde Park Lake
B. N.
It is such a lovely spot.. Although it can get pretty loud inside and dirty.. They don't clean up as people leave, a little slow. But lovely spot for a Sunday coffee and walk by the lake!
M. A.
Relaxing spot by the lake within Hyde Park. Be prepared to defend your lunch from some of the sneaky birds around if you sit on the outside to enjoy the views.
Remember your table number as well since you'll need it when placing your order.
Service is quick and the team there are very polite.
Definitely a spot for a leisurely afternoon out.
G. L.
Lovely places fit couples and group friend's
E. U.
Great place to relax in the city.
N. V.
Great views over the Serpentine. Really busy - choice of self service or service at table. We didn't have one, but lots of tables were having good-looking pizzas. Toilets hidden away - not very clean when we visited, but I think they were overwhelmed by the number of visitors the day we went.
T. B.
Beautifully situated next to the lake in Hyde park. Comfortable ambience with views to the lake. Hot chocolate is a must try. Service is quick, efficient and staff is very polite. Good food quality and decent pricing.
A. G.
perfect place to sit down with hot drink after a walk in the park
R. T.
Nice cafe overlooking lake
P. M.
Great pizzas - think this is by far their best dish. Thin crust gluten free bases available and are also very good, especially considering they're gluten free. Atmosphere really good and nice floor to ceiling windows to take in the surroundings even when you can't sit outside. Queue to order can be long but food arrived really quickly once ordered.
D. E.
Amazing place,amazing view!
d. f.
Clean and tidy place. Lots of drinks and food to choose from and the staff were friendly and helpful
D. H.
I am sure in the summer this will be a lovely place to visit. Unfortunately like everywhere else it is suffering with only being able to get take out drinks. Will definitely visit again in the when restrictions ease.
E. S.
Good place! Prices are good and the views are really nice.
S. s.
We only had drinks, the table service was quick and they kept the outside area really clean.
R. P.
The river side bar is really amazing place, the view is awesome, I really spent good time at all. Not only the location but the food and drinks are also delicious. I wish I can go there earlier for the next time.
n. k.
Best pizza! Awesome coffee.. Appetizing selection of fresh cakes and slices. Speedy service. The inside area is often crowded. Toilets need more attention.
C. H.
Great views and location. Good selection of food and drinks. Located in a heart of Hyde Park near boating lake. A lot of outdoor seating but usually overcrowded and busy in hot tourist seasons. Sometimes hard to find a table.
F. W.
Good food, good drinks, good prices, good view. I know where I'll be this summer.
D. S.
Nice location, great spot to stop off at. I had the smashed avocado ,egg and toast and it was not pleasant. She was cold. I left a review hopefully they will take note. Their is another restaurant on the side of the pond that does an amazing Avocado and toast.
B.
Pleasant place to sit and enjoy the view. Very polite and accommodating staff. Will certainly be back at some point. Though I did find the Hot Chocolate to be rather lacking flavour.
O. B.
Brilliant location, OK food but you pay for the lovely view.
G. G.
Peaceful place, lovely food and drink 🙂
b. c.
Great pizza 🍕 and the chips lovely too . . Just a snack walking through Hyde Park.
Staff were lovely
S. M.
Fantastic place! In front of the lake, you can enjoy sono food or drink, with an amazing view! Nature and birds surround you in the Park, walking o just few steps there and it's like you are outside London. Bello!
K. W.
Just the ticket on a beautifully sunny day in londons parks , staff were amazing, place was very clean and staff had a smiley calm manner even though they were very busy
S. H.
Great coffee and cakes. Used the app to order and the service prompt and friendly.
A. J.
Had the traditional crepes, they were ok!
R. L.
Arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon as a party of 1. Very difficult to follow meal ordering process to get a table and give its number when ordering as it would more than likely be gone when you got back.
I explained this to John Onyon who served me at the till. He gave me a reserved sign, asked me to find a table. I did but it had plates and glasses etc from previous occupants. I asked another member of staff to clear it while I ordered. Returned straight to John without queuing again but with a number that did not seem right to him. He took my order, followed me back to a very clean and well presented table. Confirmed the table, then immediately returned with my drink. Shortly after my enjoyable meal arrived. Excellent customer service from John which should be recognized by management. Watched the sun set over the lake from a prime seating position. A very good experience.
B. E.
Beautiful and relaxing place to sit and chill looking over the pond and have some nice snacks and coffee or tea
E. A.
We didn't have food, although the pizzas looked really good. Tea and coffee were good. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Wonderful views across the lake. Can get quite busy in a sunny day.
A. D.
Very busy on a sunny Sunday but plenty of space. Fresh, wood-fired pizza and salad with beer hit the spot. Best to save the pulled pork for winter - looked quite oily. Great view of the lake at sunset.
M. A.
Great cafe great service
N. N.
Location was great, food good service slowing but very pleasant.
b. m.
The place has a great view on the lake, the coffee was cold and the service was average
V. *.
Beautiful place especially on a sunny day, don't be shy to share a table
N. E. N.
Nice view but quite open and probe to weather effect
R. P.
Great location just at bank of the lake, some royal goose and animals around and great sunset viewpoint
a. r.
Ordered via app from the table overlooking the lake, we both had fishfinger sandwiches and chips which were delicious, fairly expensive but worth it.
A.
Nice place to have lunch while in Hyde park. May sometimes get busy causing you to wait a bit for a table and the food. The Food is actually really nice and holds a lot of quality in it.
R. B. H.
Beautiful Hyde Park is a great place to meet friends and soak up London's atmosphere in a green space. From our gorgeous terrace in the centre of the park, enjoy superb lake views over a wood-fired pizza, classic British fish and chips, sandwiches and hot or cold drinks. More drinks and BBQ available from our outside kiosk. Children's menu available all year round.
