Reviews of Shake Shack Leicester Square

I always enjoy shake shack, it was even better as they gave an NHS discount to my friend and we had 1 burger free!!!
I had the beef burger with cheese fries, the chicken pieces were delicious but slightly greasy. I had a soft drink this time but they do amazing soft drinks. Plenty of seating. Friendly staff but they did have some trouble using the till to get the discount to work. I would recommend visiting!

in my opinion overpriced for the quality.. the cheese sauce on the cheese fries tasted powdery as if the flour/thickening agent hadn't been cooked out and the burger tasted like old oil, the tomato was mushy probably old. the fries by themselves were nice though

Great location! Love it after a night out! The cheesy fries are my absolute favourite! I also love their milkshakes!

1st time trying Shake Shack and Absolutely loved it. Had such a good vibe along with amazing food.
Plenty spaces, just sit down and QR code on the table for scanning sends you to site menu then order your food and it comes to your table.
Very delicious food, well known for their chicken and cheese sauce. The cheese sauce goes with everything... from the chips to the burgers to the chicken dippers. It even tastes good on its own.
The chicken is also halal which was awesome.
I especially recommend the matcha cookies and cream milkshake which was heavenly.

We popped into Shake Shack in Leicester Square as they offer halal chicken burgers, and it's really difficult finding a halal option in central London. The burger was nice, with a good flavour, but all the burgers and the chips were cold, and would have tasted better if the buns were toasted and the chips were hotter. The lemonade was stunning, as was the mango passion lemonade.

Very delicious but a little bit expensive.
As this is a very warm and pleasant environment which you can have good time together with your friends and family.
For having a meal or drink.
Quality of products are good, they have very friendly and knowledgeable staff so this is the reason you can high quality food and drink.
I strongly recommend to use their services.

The best thing I can say about Shake Shack was the variety in menue, it was extensive and to my delight had everything from tea to wine.
The downside were from payment onwards, it seemed to me that this was a fast food joint but the order took 30 minutes of me standing in a queue of about 5 others, meaning, not particularly busy.
The food itself was okay, if given the choice again would have spent the same money but on five guys instead.

Incredible chicken! Milkshakes are really good and the cheesy fries are so nice too!

Chicken is halal. Chicken burger was delicious. Their peach vanilla drink was a bit sour though

The food was delicious, I really could taste real chicken. My only criticism is that since it was near closing time, roughly 1 hour before, we were not allowed to sit down and eat whilst sitting. We were a group of 8 people, including a toddler, and we were forced to eat outside in the cold outside Leicester Square. Of course, the lights, music and the atmosphere made up for it, but I found it unnecessary to tell everyone no sitting, specially that it was on and off raining and not particularly warm

Great service today team. Food was great and you gave covid no where to hide with your fantastic cleaning regimes. Nothing was missed and best place I've been to in London today for it. Really enjoyed my meal tonight

Halal Chicken burger. Anything chicken is Halal but not the beef. I am not a big fan of chicken sandwiches but this was spot on , I really liked it. Definitely worth trying

It would be great if there more halal options. I got the Burger'N'Shake and it tasted amazing like wow amazing. Also got the cheesy chips, chips are really nice but the cheese was too plain, didnt taste that great. I LOVE my cheese and The cheese sause in Tortilla is 100 times better. Other then that, the staff were so kind and helpfull. I was definitely want to come back for more of that chicken burgers and try the chicken bites too.

A good quality burger - fresh, cheesy and beefy. Perhaps slightly under-seasoned. Thought I’d give it a go as I wanted to compare it with Five Guys. I think I prefer Five Guys as their burgers are more ‘dense’ and flavourful (more customisation). I do like the crinkle cut fries here though and presentation is decent.

After a prior experience which was a bit disappointing (fairly slow service), we went again to give them another try, and they really impressed us.
They really pushed the boat out; service was impeccable and the food was tasty and fresh. I had a cinnamon shake that tasted exactly of the leftover milk in bowl after you've had Cinnamon Grahams (an excellent thing), and the burgers were wonderful. I couldn't finish my portion of bacon mayo fries but that's maybe because I also ate half of my wife's cheesy fries.

Open late, small burgers, limited menu (I assume due to covid) 1 vegetarian and 1 vegan option. It was alright, better than Maccys but most places are, but overpriced for what it was.

The food is great and the workers are nice. Burgers are amazing and so are the chips. However it ironic that the milkshakes are not milkshakes. When i tries slurping my caramel ‘milkshake’, I was disappointed to see that it was more like ice cream than a milkshake. The hot dogs aren’t great either. I still recommend the restaurant though cause the burger buns are just 10/10.

Good way of ordering food, order at the till and wait for your name to be called! Food was tasty and would recommend the Chick 'n Shack! It was very good. Chips were crinkle cut and also very good, vanilla shake was as expected good flavour and thick, staff were lovely too, they sorted us out with a high chair and showed us were the baby changing is. Overall good visit would recommend.

First ever visit to Shake Shack, Leicester Square - and it won't be my last!!
I had the single Shack Burger topped with lettuce, tomato, and Shack Sauce, a side of herb, mayo and bacon fries, and a refreshing shack-made lemonade. Staff were really friendly even though they were busy.

Visited there on Tuesday with my son and the food was tasty but very slow service. However the northern lady who was working the floor was amazing, she was incredibly friendly, chatty and so helpful to all customers. It was so refreshing to see someone be so consciences in their job, she was sering to everyone's needs and telling people who where leaving to have a nice day. She greeted every new customer with a hello and a smile.

After visiting Selfridge’s and liberty house I had to go and get myself a milkshake very nice

The food especially the chicken is delicious and tasty however the portions/size of the burgers/ chicken bites are really small. The chips are large portions however oily and thin. The milkshakes are alright. The music inside is too loud and the seating is alright, not particularly comfortable. The lighting is awkward and uncomfortable.

Can't fault the food and drink, really good and very enjoyable pre-theatre. Just a shame that when we've visited and it's been busy, there don't seem to be many staff preparing food and it's taken a while.

Simple, tasty and amazing.
We order the Original with regular fries and the seasonal fries with garlic mayo. After a while the garlic tastes a bit too much, so take this fries only if you are super into garlic. The burger has the perfect size and the whole experience is great.

Very nice food. The pear vanilla 50/50 was very nice and the chocolate concrete was lovely. Always find Shake Shack do good food and the fries are nice too! Fully recommend!

Loads of room for improvements. Seems that nobody cleans the sitting area upstairs, tables were quite dirty. For food, the burger was so dry, cheesy fries was not impressive compared to the past. I doubted if I want to come back.

Nice burger and chips. The kids loved their shakes. The place was very busy after theatre on a Sunday and could do some more staff to cope with the high demand.

Is a 3-story burger joints in the heart of London. While not the first Shake Shack in London but it still has long queue most of the time. Good service and price is reasonable, is popular and it has many corner for photos. Taste is good but I won’t call it excellent. Probably won’t queue for it again.

Nice and fresh, not super quick but also not a very long queue. Everything was tasty but the meat coulve used a bit more salt/pepper. It was a bit bland compared to the american shake shack.

Good food. Really liked it. The woman who served us was an amazing, lovely person.

Good burgers and great shakes

Just okay. No one in line at 13:00 so that was nice, and the staff was friendly. I will say that it was clean and maintained, there was a staff member walking around the ordering area and outdoors answering questions people has and keeping the space clean. On to the food...
Mediocre food. Got a hot dog (I know, who does that?) And it was rubbery, but at least warmer than the chips (fries). The chips were warm at best, definitely had been sitting, and I had just watched them pull new ones out of the fryer. While I did get the food to go, I started munching on the fries as soon as I walked out the door and they were barely warm. They also were in the process of updating the menu or were just out of things. One of the things I tried to order on the menu, Chicago dog was no longer available even though still on the menu inside next to the register. Quite disappointing overall, pobably won't go back.

Visited here on a Saturday afternoon. Really tasty burgers and cheesy fries and reasonably priced. Nice friendly staff and it was very spacious too.
I would definitely recommend for a quick lunch or dinner.

Waited 15 mins for the food which was a bit longer than expected. Burger was quite tasty and on the softer side. Chips looked pretty but would have prefered them to be a little fatter. Overall was a nice environment but a little on the pricey side.
B. C.
The standard size burgers are tasty, but too small to consider a meal for an adult, even plus some chips. Not sure if it deserves being priced so much above the common fast food places.

Crazy, chaotic place but the food we eventually got was good.
You have to stand in a snaking queue just to place & pay for your order. You're then given an electronic handset which bleeps & flashes when your order is ready. I had no idea how long this would take so hung around the "pick up" area for over 25 mins. On reflection I should have sat back with my hubbie to wait. Patience from other people wore thin & their drink orders were often missing or incorrect when the food finally arrived. Our burgers were tasty but my favourite thing was the coffee shake - even though this cost £5. Memories of that diner scene with John Travolta in "Pulp Fiction" sprang to mind!
