Reviews of Shrimp & Grill - Leicester Square Restaurant
M. T.
Food was good but the interior really takes the cake.
If you're a film lover you will love all the Easter eggs in the restaurant.
Restaurant was quite busy but they still managed to deliver our menu is good time.
The menu is a hit and miss with the flavours, and the pricing is above the average.
Pro tip: Run forest run
V. R.
Food was good but for a place in the middle of London city I was expecting more as the price was not cheap at all.
The staff was friendly and helpful, unfortunately I believe that when the place is full they got a bit lost and the food takes more time to reach the table as per experience my drinks arrived just after I started to eat.
The interior of the place is great, full of pictures, car plates and other stuff, really cool.
M. M.
Food & service were good. Interior is nicely American and "on theme". The entire experience feels a bit commercialised though, starting with the gift shop through which one enters / exits. To me it's a "been there, done that" kind of experience - but a nice one.

The atmosphere is really nice and the place is very huge. U can enjoy going around to see the Forest Gump movie pictures and decorations. The seafood is OK but too much greasy, and the service is too slow
a.
Cajun shrimp was amazing, I will definitely come back to it. We also had : Artichoke and spinach,Coconut Shrimp, and Tilapia with Lobster Sauce. All of them were good. Nice American atmosphere in the restaurant. Prices are medium to high.

The food is not bad. Everything is good and it doesn’t cost that much. For everyone willing to try it, it’s a great choice for having something quick to eat. My advice is to ask for the waitress Ndeye she was really kind and her service was great. I’ll probably comeback.
A.
This review would have been 4 stars but for the fact the place was freezing cold, the staff being clueless on a parking offer* and not explaining the Red and Blue Number plate system to get them to stop at your table.
The food was tasty and well cooked and served promptly.
Tried to get in a few weeks previously but was turned away due to not having a reservation, so best to check ahead.
* Q parking Whitcombe Street is less than 5 minutes walk away and Bubba Gump will give you a ticket that will only charge £17,50 for the day, normal price is £9.00 an hour.

Really enjoyed our meal after eating out at lunch somewhere else and having a bad experience. Reece was lovely and really friendly. Made us feel special. Thank you. We will be back again.

Had a pleasant visit, we attended the Leicester Square branch for our 1 year anniversary. (Luckily we booked way in advance). I honestly couldn’t fault the service. There was a short wait to be seated but after speedy table service the food was incredible. Really liked the idea of the red and blue signs so the staff know when you’re ready to order and they were well on the ball. The only let down was rude customers towards the staff who had no control over their issues. They handled them well too.
F. A.
We went as a family and this is a decent place to dine. Would recommend making a reservation before as they don't take walk-ins. The staff are friendly and yes, it does offer halal food also. They have their certification on display. The food is good and service is good. If you've been to Bubba Gump's in the US, the portions here in the UK are much smaller. The Cajun Shrimp was AMAZING! The only let down is the portion size and the prices they charge. Next time we visit, we will book a Groupon voucher instead.

You could tell that the staff were really busy, but this didn't impact the service we received. They ensured that all our food was ready ahead of our theatre visit. The shrimp was tasty and the portions were huge. Would recommend
A. S.
4 stars is about right, not as good as it’s American cousins, cocktails were nice if not on the “juice” side, food was ok but I would of liked it served hotter. Service prompt and “basic” for what should be an experience. Surprised at how quite a Friday night was at 7pm.
A.
Everything about Bubba Gump Shrimp was exceptional. Food was great, environment was engaging and detailed intricately. The staff were exceptional and professional, never failing to be kind and serviced us to immaculate standards, creating a great family environment as well.
We will definitely bring my draughters next time to enjoy!
M. M.
Really lovely food and good experience. It was a super quiet Monday afternoon so not long to wait but the food was brilliant (Juicy Shrimp Boil) and staff were great, especially Ndeye. I'll be back.
J. H.
We booked the offer through Groupon. The food was really good , the servers were really nice and friendly too. However make sure you have plenty of time. was 25 minutes before they took our order and a further 40 minutes before the food arrived.
D.
We came here with out booking, tbh we actually thought while waiting to be seated that it might be a bad idea....buyout we was so surprised how love the staff was and the food was amazing 2 we had a booth and it was very clean. 5 stars
M. E.
nice place, tasty food, nice atmosphere , if you like prowns this is u place then, in heart of busy street in london one my favorite, the prices are affordable not expenssive at all and most of main courses can be served gor two
See ya there

Upscale, themed pub food.
Got to the place before 6pm on a Saturday and there were quite a few people just waiting around on their phones downstairs. Went over to the sales desk and asked the person there who said to wait and they would check our details. Waited for a few minutes while they served customers in the souvenir shop downstairs. Then a colleague from upstairs said that everyone can go upstairs. Then a bit of a mad rush as everyone put their phones away and went upstairs.
The restaurant is quite sprawling, themed on the Forrest Gump film and with a limited menu focused on shrimp, which shouldn't come as a surprise given the name of the place. Overall I have to say the table service was impeccable as I thought our party would get lost in the rush of customers. We were well looked after throughout.
The food arrived in a timely manner and the chips, shrimp and steak arrived on time and they weren't cold at all. Unfortunately the real let down of this place is the quality of the food relative to the price. It's a tourist trap located in the heart of the West End, so go in with eyes wide open. As I mentioned earlier, it's not that different from food you would find in a pub, and the food there wasn't that bad, just not good enough to justify the price attached. The alcoholic drinks were also insanely overpriced.
K. P.
Loved every moment here. The food was amazing, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Its a place I've wanted to eat at for so long and it didn't disappoint.
Q. M.
The food was good but in small portions
The service was so bad
We had to wait for 4 minutes for fork and spoon while the food arrived
They even didn't ask us what do you like to drink!
The stuff needs more and more training they didn't even know what's in the Manu
The Manu papers was so old and ripped off
When they bring the drinks one was filled to the top other two remaining was not filled!
Anyway I'll not visit this restaurant again

We have visited Bubba Gump restaurant a number of times over several years and are never disappointed. It is a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone, whether you are a fan of the film or not.
Theming:
The theming of the building is very well done. The walls are lined with photos and quotes from the film and are a real treat to read to pass time whilst waiting for your food to arrive.
The signs for guests to use are also a great addition, the RUN FORREST RUN and STOP FORREST STOP sign is perfect for getting your waiter/waitresses attention or wishing to be left alone for privacy. I always find in restaurants how awkward it is when people keep coming over to check up on you but this sign avoids this unwanted or wanted attention.
I also enjoyed the films playing in the background, it adds to the overall ambience of the place.
Food:
There is a fantastic selection of food and I would say there is something for everyone. It is a fish lovers dream but there is equally something there for individuals who do not care for it such as steaks.
We had two different platters of fish and both were fresh and tasty. I had the simple fish and chips selection which was full of flavour, hot and clearly freshly made.
Service:
Nothing is too much trouble, the service is spot on and everyone who works there appeared enthusiastic and happy to help.
Gift Shop:
I love the added gift shop and the chance to own your own plush shrimp!
Overall Experience:
I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the films or anyone that is after a dining experience rather than just a sit down meal.
My reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the pricing, it is a little bit more expensive than some places but I think this is mostly because you pay for quality and the experience as well as the food.

Went to Piccadily circus and stumbled upon Bubba gump.
As soon as we saw Shrimps we knew this was the one! Plus this was based on the movie Forest gump and I really liked that movie.
They had offer of “kids eat free” going on so another incentive! The universe was giving us signs!
Went in and luckily they had a table for us.
The ambiance and decor was just so good. The staff was polite and friendly.
For appetisers we ordered crab stuffed mushrooms and i liked it but definitely they could add more crab meat, husband wasn’t impressed and we also got Calamari. It was golden, crispy and delicious.
For mains we got Shrimper’s Heaven and we were in heaven indeed! They were literally melt in the mouth good. I loved the grilled shrimp. Would highly recommend it. Jenny’s catch with lobster butter sauce was the other main and it was delicious. Fish was cooked perfectly, the sauce complimented it and the mashed potatoes were smashing. Kids got popcorn shrimp and mac and cheese. Both kids meal came with chips, fruits and jelly and was served in a cut cardboard boat. The portion size was really good, we were three adults and two kids and we couldn’t finish our mains. Would definitely recommend a trip if you are shrimp lovers.

Food was amazing. We had the baby rack of ribs and the Forrest platter. Food was beautiful and atmosphere was fantastic. Previously been to the Universal City branch but this was better.
Fabulous way to celebrate a big birthday.
Prices were value for money.
f.
The food was OK but expensive for what you had, the key lime pie was gorgeous. The menus need updating as they look grimey.
C. N.
Liked this alot, but my meal was very spicy without warning. Nice venue and meals were delicious
K.
Food was really nice and I'd say slightly above average pricing, cocktails were fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service did take a while sometimes hence only 4/5 stars. Overall a positive experience and would visit again.
t. b.
Staff were friendly. All ways there to help. Fried fish was really nice. Prawns and Hush puppies tasted like they were bought from Icelands. Nice place but better places to go.
p. c.
Nice concept, but terrible place to eat! It took billon years to give order, so bussy to take order!
I. M.
Great restaurant, the decor is a feast for the eyes and really entertaining. Plenty of fun photo ops. Good range of choice on the menu and the food was enjoyable. The only negative thing was that we paid £4 for a can of Dr. Pepper...brought out literally in the can...which was painful(!)
B. S.
Excellent food, great cosy interior and so original. Fabulous and friendly staff! I highly recommend. It is worth a wait to be seated but once when you are comfortable seated and waiting for your order to come you have time to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy your visit! A bit pricey for that kind of eatery but for the delicious food you are served it is worth it! I can't wait to visit again! Thank you x

Enjoyed my time and the Bubba Gump restaurant with fast and friendly service. Meals can be American size portions that is probably why they can be pricey. Good atmosphere and would defiantly come back. Not the fanciest of places but has a fun décor. Has a little shop on the ground level with the restaurant upstairs. Was not expecting the Forrest Gump theme but enjoyed it! Was not a fan to use a QR code for the menu.
J. a. R.
Absolutely delicious food and the portions were huge! The mushroom crab cakes I had for starters were amazing.
K. A.
I’ve been wanting to eat here for ages and it did not disappoint! The best shrimp I’ve ever had . If you love the film you will love it here . It was an experience more than just dinner for two . Glad we made this place part of our plans whilst in London for the day . Meals we had were the shrimpers heaven and the lieutenant Dan surf and turf .they were delicious and we both came out very stuffed . Run forrest run
D. H.
Lovely atmosphere great food most of all friendly staff with good service. 10 /10.
With a great cocktail. Happy times.

The children's meals are really affordable and come with a jelly pot and a slice of orange. It's nice that the children's meals are served in a boat with a colouring sheet. However I thought the adult meals were overpriced and not so great but good portion sizes. Some of the staff were not aware that the children's meals are free with a main and the ones who are aware still charge you for it and you have to ask again for them to deduct it. I had to wait half an hour for an ice cream, around 40 mins for a main meal and the place was not that busy, over 20 minutes for a drink. Another headache is to apply any gift cards you have to email it to the manager before it can be used. The staff are friendly but they need to speed up their service when it comes to checking in guests, paying the bill being aware of their own promotions and the drinks service.
Maybe they could include a water jug for each table to help with this, a barcode that can be scanned for gift cards from a phone, a section for build your own sundae for the children so the desserts are ready faster and the promotions available on a sign on each table aswell as updating new staff of this. To improve downstairs they could let guests wait upstairs instead of keeping them waiting for 10 to 15 mins downstairs. This would make more sense as there is no seating downstairs and it is too small to wait there
P. J.
Really enjoyed this restaurant, staff were really friendly, activated l accommodated us as walk in (4 adults), great location, Forest Gump themed, for was good.
R. B.
A very busy place. Friendly, smiley and attentive staff (did me a favor and charged my phone). Good quality of food , reasonable choice of wines and other drinks. Flexible: ready to slightly adapt the dishes content. Well done and thank you.
M. R.
Was here last night, after my New York visit in 2018. Although later in the afternoon attendance is based on bookings, one of the staff members managed get me a seat, which was very much appreciated. The meal was exactly how they describe it.......HEAVEN!
c. b.
Great service. The manager on duty was awesome. Helped us out and sat us in a booth, he was our server as he was short on staff, not that you'd know it. He really worked hard, as did his staff. Great experience, as it was my son's 25th birthday.
O. T.
Delicious food
Came to shrimp and grill after we decided to have shrimp.
I had the platter of 4 different shrimps with lots of fries, my wife jambalaya and we shared cheese cake.
Food was delicious , for London everything was reasonably priced .
I definitely want to come again.
C. P.
The staff are fantastic here, extremely helpful & friendly. The food is great although it did cost £90 for the 2 of us, saying that we did have a couple of cocktails each, which were gorgeous, as well as food. Will definitely visit again at some point
C. J.
Fabulous food and drink. Great for fans of Forrest Gump. Portions are huge and highly recommend the coronarita drink
H. Q. z.
We arrived a little early yet table was ready friendly team very welcoming and booth’s were great. We had a lovely experience and menu was varied suitable for us both food arrived quickly what it’s was amazing and the team could not have been any more helpful. A well run fun restaurant
P. S.
As one can expect with such location the food here is massively overpriced and the portions are small. The good news is that everything we had was at least decent. The restaurant is surprisingly huge but they really put a lot into its look - everything is a reference to Forrest Gump.
Even though it felt like there was enough staff working the service was very slow and not particularly professional. Overall to was a decent experience and worth a shot if you like me are into seafood and Forrest Gump.
M. F.
Good meal, lots of Forest Gump memorabilia, quotes and photos. Good food and friendly staff. Worth a visit.
C. R.
Lovely experience at Bubba Gump Shrmip co as usual, service was a little slow but that's to be expected at the time we went. It was very early.
Waitress was lovely, very enthusiastic and polite.
Food arrived promptly, all piping hot and all together (we asked for starters to be served alongside the mains)
It is a little pricey for the portion size & quality, but I guess that's London and the restaurant.
However a lovely meal, crab stuffed mushrooms are to die for and so is the shrimp platter, which we shared.
B. S.
Perfect mix of great service and tasty fast seafood.
Very American with loads of fun posters.
J. D.
Have read some mixed reviews about the place, but i can tell you it is absolutely great.
The decor of the restaurant was like being in the movie. The service was quick and friendly and the food was very high quality. Our waiter Muna did everything she could to make our visit as good as could be.
Cannot wait to return, cannot recommend highly enough.
K. O.
Great food but slow and poor service. Only a party of 4 but error with drinks order, slow to arrive and slow to correct. Same again with food order, slow to arrive and couldn't wait for order correction as we'd waited long enough for food.
Won't be returning due to the service. Real shame as food was great!
M. S.
I meet RODRIGO !! He's amazing and the food was perfecr. I recommend you to come and eat here. Thanks man 🥰
A. K.
Each time we come to London this is my favorite place to go to for some shrimps. I pretty much love everything about this place: from the shop downstairs, through interior design upstairs, a very friendly stuff, always awesome atmosphere and a great menu! And I'm obsessed with their Run Forrest - Stop Forrest table signs! Can't wait to be able to go back.
"That's all I have to say about that" 😉
K. H.
This was a very unexpected birthday treat form my best friend, knowing my love of prawns what better place to take me. Great Forrest Gump themed restaurant. Don’t let the shop entrance fool you once you go upstairs the fun begins, with amazing decor to make you feel like you’re on the boat itself about to catch the shrimp to the happy crew cheerful and happy to serve. The only issue I had was choosing which amazing course to choose so settled for a prawn platter, which was awesome.
I can highly recommend the coconut prawns. In addition we accidentally got another tables main course which we thought was ours but halfway through found out it wasn’t so a bonus course. As it was my birthday, the traditional free desert was awarded but accompanied by a rap that I can only say was hilarious and I was put truly on the spot. Good crowd of people great food and awesome experience.
W. C.
Service and food are fantastic. However, went on a busier night and their booking and seating arrangement needed some work as we were waiting for a bit. Possible due to availability of staff so not anyone's fault.
I. B. D.
I took the “texas chicken sandwich” and the “heaven shrimp”, I loved it. I don’t always go out to eat, but I think I will get back here more often; also there was this waitress , I think is name was Ndeye she was really kind and sweet. Service like this makes you comeback. I’ll feel comfortable if she always serve me.
J. j. M.
We had excellent service on our visit. Lovely food which is delivered in good time and tasted brilliant. Love the decor and theme of the restaurant-will definitely come back.
G. S.
Very cool place friendly staff and very good food a little overpriced but when in London and for a themed restraint I'd recommend it!
K. B.
Had a reservation and wouldn't recommend turning up without one. We were shown to our table but they didn't explain the red/blue sign system until after we were trying to catch someone's attention. I really enjoyed the cajun prawn starter. The main was ok but certainly nothing to rave about. We were asked to order our dessert so we didn't have to wait too long. The dessert came out when we were eating our main! The overall experience was not worthy of the price and yes, we did ask to remove the 'mandatory' 12.5% service charge that the add to the bill. We won't be returning because I can think of nicer places to spend £80 but would be interested in knowing how many shrimps they get through a day!
L. D.
Could have spent hours looking at the walls here. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Have an amazing idea where you flip a sign to make your waiter aware you want them to stop so there not all over you why you eat. Food was all amazing I'm fussy but would definitely return here. Something for everyone.
D. M.
Fantastic chicken burger . Nice atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff .
S. F.
I use to go there, when it first came to London Picadilly. The menus was great because I saw crabs dishes even better if they had lobster dishes with the crayfish. Now they take it away it so dry it isn't all that. It isn't following the authentic mission I'm guessing they have changed the owner of the menus of why the menus not so good
L. W.
Absolutely stunning food although staff need to know what they are serving and not to just come and place it on the table. The man incharge of our table however was brilliant and rectified any mistakes!
P.s works do... lots of us. I would definitely eat here again my steak and calamari was amazing!!
C. M.
Overpriced for what it is, but good sized portions and great service
J. R.
This used to be called Bubba Gump for those of you who remember it. The seafood/shrimp is the reason for going albeit they serve hamburgers and ribs too.
The only down side was that on a Saturday night, the service was very slow....ugh.
Love the coconut shrimp so the place is OK by me.
S. A. N.
Lovely interior decor, friendly and attentive staff, true diner feel, price reflects its location so expect to pay a premium. This is not your typical budget eats. Now for the quality of the food: 2/3 net catch garlic is superb. Shrimps are really fresh. The popular Forrest Seafood Feast didn't tickle our taste buds, sadly. Also expect to pay a service charge of 12.50%. Overall experience: worthy of another visit to try other menus. I will update my rating in due time.
T. S.
I come here for the food. The service is very slow - the most helpful/cheerful person was a cleaner! Left waiting to be seated, tatty menus and ignored after that. I keep saying I won't return but the food is bloody awesome.
a. w.
Lovely time was had the waitress was sweet and really helpful she knew what was on the menu and was able to recommend food. I think her name was Jas, she said she was new but she looked like she knew what she was doing. little sweety
C. Y. T.
A restaurant I wouldn't drop by too often, but will be among the top few places on my list for birthday celebration venues. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co stages a really jolly atmosphere. I wouldn't say the attendants are really attentive though, but that is likely due to how big the restaurant is. They would sing along and do their signature Bubba Gump cheer to liven up a customer's birthday celebration.
I think the food is excellent, I don't expect anything less from the popular American Seafood restaurant chain. If you are going in groups, definitely go for the sharing platters for the best value for money. Would put forward the Forrest's Seafood Feast as the main dish, and the Shrimper's Heaven to snack on. Definitely pick on another two regular sized platters, and the combination will be just right for the appetite of a group of 4-5 metabolically active young adults. The price might be daunting for students or lower-middle income groups, but please treat yourself to Bubba Gump once in a while!
J. B.
Lovely food, lovely staff, truly wonderful
O.
Four of us had a meal in here. We'd booked a table but I think they were accepting walk ins. Good food and drinks and reasonably priced.
P. M.
Surprised to see this place only has 3.9 star rating. We loved it! Plus points: Great decor, clean, friendly service, good menu choice and great food. Minus points, only one - very expensive for what it is (ie it ain't The Ritz 😂) BUT it's slap bang in the middle of the west end so over pricing is expected (their business rates are probably extortionate) but this means the location is good, short walk from either Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus.
b.
The decoration want to make you feel in the movie but thats about it.
Food had nothing special not bad but not good ether.
And the service .... 1 hours to take our order .
K. T.
Came to Bubba Gump Shrimp after my son and I decided to have a shrimp fest
We came and the first thing you see is the gift shop which is fine (we bought stuff after our meal) and the famous bench for photos
My husband and my daughter arent *into* shrimp as much so they had an adult fish and chips and a childs portion of fish and chips. Which they thoroughly enjoyed. You get a nice surprise (jelly) and kids under 10 are free.
I had the platter of 4 different preperations of shrimps (spiced, coconut, tempura and coated) with a LOT of fries and my son had the popcorn shrimp and we shared between us. Then we got to puddings.
The kids had a make your own sundae (which does come with nuts!
And I made the delicious mistake of ordering the bread pudding.
This is too big for one person so i had to share it between us and it comes with custard, vanilla icecream AND whipped cream!
For london, everything was reasonably priced - we spent £90 all in with a tip.
My son and I definitely want to come again!
M. L.
Always happy to come back to this restaurant with its amzing location recalling all the main scenes of the movie. Food not always at the deserved level especially compared to prices. Crew commited to make you satisfied.
L. A.
Had a fantastic time with friends last week. Food was great and so were the team that served us. I will be going back soon.
A. O.
Long wait .
But the food is good !
J. B.
Got to BGS and went upstairs to the restaurant which is big and spacious. Had the shrimp mac and cheese which was delicious for starters, my family all had various things which was all very nice. Portions are big and can be shared but if your like me and love your food you can easily eat the lot by yourself. Here are a few pics of what's on offer but I believe the picture never do the food justice.
m. m.
Very nice decoration and the atmosphere - everything related to Forest Gump movie. Restaurant is quite big - it is situated on the 1floor. Very good location. The main course is a shrimp - a lot of variations about shrimp. The food was good but I prefer „soute” shrimps only with lemon rather than deep fried.
B. F.
A bit bare bones since it’s not Bubba Gump anymore but the food is still pretty good and the waitress Udeye was nice - just average average experience tbf but on the expensive side too but we had a 20% off voucher so wasn’t too bad
S. B.
We visited here one Friday mid-afternoon for lunch and although it wasn’t what we expected, had a fun and enjoyable meal. The restaurant is actually upstairs, accessed through a shop. There’s plenty of signage making it obvious and the staff even in the shop were welcoming. At the top of the stairs there’s an open area, football table, and the reception desk. We didn’t have a reservation but there was no need, since there only seemed to be a handful of other diners there. Throughout the meal though there was a constant stream of people arriving so I’d recommend a booking if you’re going at a more common time. First impressions were deceiving though and there’s loads of tables round the corner - the place really is a Tardis once you start walking around!
We sat in one of the booths against the wall which meant there was loads of space for two people. The decor is very unique and somewhat random, but gives plenty to look at and admire. The waitress brought the large menus and cutlery from the welcome desk and explained how to get service subsequently from the staff - change the metal sign on the table from blue to red. This was a quirky approach but in reality wasn’t always necessary given the frequent passing of waiting staff.
There’s a wide variety of starters and mains on the menu and naturally its a shrimp lover’s paradise. Most of the dishes come with the shrimps either battered or breaded though but I opted for the cajun shrimp starter. This was really nice and kicked things off well. Along with the popcorn shrimp starter both dishes were a good size. For two people we went a little overboard with the mains, ordering both the seafood feast and shrimper’s heaven, which could easily have fed four people. Everything was hot and cooked well, and the different flavours of the shrimp in the shrimper’s heaven was wonderful. Nothing was too greasy either which was a relief and the chips were nice. A selection of sauces / dips came with each, and although we failed to identify what each one was there were a good size for the amount of food served.
All the food and drinks orders arrived in good time although the cutlery wasn’t replaced after the starters so we had to grab our own from the reception desk. The table and everywhere else was clean, including the large toilets are the rear. There was enough activity going on to create a good atmosphere but the lively music would keep this going even during more quiet periods.
Overall it was a fun and lighthearted meal with adequate service. It was a very expensive meal, especially for drinks - the soft drinks came in small sizes and at almost five pounds felt excessive. Considering the size of the dishes and the fact that our mains were of sharing size it justifies the price of the food more, but even so don’t expect this to be a cheap meal! For something a little different I’d return again.

Fun Restaurant,lovely food
We arrived a bit early for our booking table was ready very welcoming we had a lovely experience and menu was varied .
I definitely come back
I. R.
The food is great but the service is rubbish. They did not inform me that there is a special that kids eat for free until I left the restaurant. I ordered diet coke and instead of bringing the refillable glass, they brought me the bottled one and made me pay for it. The elevator is broken so you have to carry your stroller up to the second floor. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the US and I'll be coming again since I have a a good experience there, but I hope they'll be having better people working.
C. M. M. S.
Me and two buddies enjoyed shrimp and the best chicken burgers we’ve ever had. Even though many of the staff were new we got great friendly service, thank you for everything will be returning
N. P.
Great themed restaurant. There's lots of memorabilia and things to look at wherever your table is situated in the restaurant. Food is definitely pricey but portion sizes are generous and tastes great! Staff could be a bit more cheerful but were fairly well attentive. Photograph included is the 'I'm stuffed shrimp'
A.
It's alright. Finished the food, but it's not worth the price for what you get. Starters were nice and the atmosphere.
Shrimpers Heaven is super basic and you can get it for cheap elsewhere or make it yourself plus majority of it was just a basket of fries.
If you're a fan of Forest Gump and you have money to waste go for it, but it was not for me.
S. C.
I would recommend this place for Forrest Gump fans. Food portion is great and the staff are friendly. I love the idea of the sign where change it if you want to get served or not.
They have got a shop at the entrance so you can buy stuff related to the movie. The place looks small on the outside but it is very big once you go to the dining area
v. g.
We love bubba gump, but the uk version isnt as good as the new york one. I had tasty pasta with scampy, but also very salty mushroom soup which I gave back... Next to us there was a group of drunks that yelled like mad and nobody sent them away...
Good thing is that they open late and they have tomato juice and large cups.
D. T.
Brought my son here for his 11th birthday wee absolutely loved the food was amazing. Would highly recommend and will be coming back
N. C.
Delicious food cooked well. Good value on the food-front. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Drinks rather overpriced though. And you're forced to pay a 12% tip. Paid in cash and waitress came back without our change then said "Oh sorry, did you want your change?!" Err, well yes, seeing that we've already been made to pay an extra 12% for service, you don't then get to keep our change as well!
Despite that we would return for the food.
M. P.
Lovely food and good People.
Our waiter Rodrygo super friendly and helpful!
I had really good time!
S. O.
Absolutely loved it food was DELICIOUS!! Never had a portion of prawns like it, all food was perfectly cooked and presented quickly. The service was really nice there was an amazing gentleman there who spoke with us and took pics of our group and I think he was the manager and I was really impressed by his genuine lovely hospitality
K. B.
I come here from Southend on sea just for Bubba Gump and I was really disappointed when I see that the name has been changed. But our server Ndeye she was so kind that I can say she made our dinner wonderful.
G. W.
The food is really good , especially the coconut shrimp. Service is good and servings are plenty. Prices are acceptable .
H. P.
Shrimps were good..... steak was cooked as requested however it lacked seasoning. Staff are very hospitable and it is a huge family friendly restaurant. Prices could be a little more reasonable in my opinion.
A. D. G.
Ambiance is quite good. Decor is nice. Service is ok but nothing special that justifies the 12.5% service charge which if you want to take back you have to make a fuss of asking for the manager like making a scene. Food is not like the menu portion at all but taste is ok. For the price it is not worth it as there are more chips to bulk up the portion than the actual seafood in it.
A.
Service was good and the staff were friendly. I enjoy the fact that there are TV screens showing clips from Run Forrest Run.
Make sure you book a table if you don't want to wait a long time for a seat. The people in front of us had to wait half an hour.
Their cocktails are delicious. I recommend the strawberry daiquiri and the mango mojito.
I can't remember the name of the dish I ordered but it looks like this:
R. R.
Food was pretty good but the prices are astronomical, we had x1 cocktail each (tap water after that), a starter between us, a main each and x1 dessert and it was over £95 we had to wait over 45 mins for our mains as they ran out of rice, so they ‘adjusted the bill’. When we got the bill they adjusted £10 off which didn’t even cover 1 drink. Was a lovely experience but we certainly won’t be making a habit of going unless we mortgage the house
A. B.
Absolutely amazing food and service food come out fast,so did our desserts really enjoyed it will be come back in the future.
J. D.
My visit to Bubba Gump was a pleasant one, when we got there immediately we was greeted by two friendly members of staff at the front of the door then was directed upstairs to the restaurant. When we got upstairs we was seated straight away and given our menus, we had a lovely waitress who assisted us showing us how to use the sign when we was ready to order. We decided to order the 2 Secret Mango Sparklers, Shrimpers Heaven and Shrimp New Orleans. The let down was the drink which were very expensive for what they were and didn’t taste much mango to this drink more like a robinsons drink mixed with some kinda of soda. The Shrimpers Heaven was amazing, could not fault anything about that, it had 4 different varieties of shrimps with chips and the flavours was just so nice. The Shrimp New Orleans was not one of our favourites at all unfortunately, the flavour was very buttery and had a strong taste of garlic, personally I did feel like the taste of it didn’t really go well together which was a disappointment. I do feel it is quite expensive, we ended up paying around £60 for two drinks and two mains which was a bit shocking. Overall our experience was good and we did end up having a good time, I would definitely recommend the Shrimpers Heaven to anyone going.

C. K.
Third time eating here and overall food is good, service is decent and prices was average. Chances are I'll return on my next London trip because that Chocolate Brownie was to die for - Yum!!
B. M.
Sea food lovers this is the place to visit . It’s located on top floor . Pleasant ambience and very colourful. Staff are friendly too. The menu have tons of choices including cocktails and mocktails. London prices so bit over priced
N. M.
Sooooooo GOOD. had the Calamari to start, hot and really tasty, then the Net Catch Entree shrimp broil. OH MY GOD!!! That was amazingly tasty!!! Really nice staff, chatty and welcoming. Can't wait to come back for more!!
C. G.
Food was lovely, a place have to go once, decor was great, staff were friendly, quite expensive
S. A.
Our group was really buzzing to eat here. You go through the Bubba Gump shop to book in and go up the stairs to the restaurant. The decorations are all tied into the Forrest Gump / Bubba Gump film which looked great. We were sat down promptly into a less than half full area. Forrest Gump was playing on all the screens on a loop. We had a long wait for staff who ignored the 'stop Forrest stop' sign to come over, and that was just to ask for a child's menu. Atmosphere in the restaurant was non-existent and very quiet. We ordered drinks and a starter of the shrimp pot and garlic bread. Both were delicious and was quickly devoured by our group. Our mains were the Shrimp New Orleans, Shrimpers Heaven, Seafood Platter, kids fish and chips and a burger. The food was superb, tasty and well cooked. Sadly the New Orleans had to be chased to find out where it was. Two deserts were ordered which were commented on how good they were. We are not going to rush back here though. The management could really benefit from a visit to the Orlando Bubba Gump to see how they create a proper fun atmosphere. There's a lot to be learnt. On the positive our waitress through the second half of the meal was superb and accommodating, and the chefs are good at their trade.
A. J.
The interior is 5*.
The food is 3*. I feel like the portion is getting less tastier and it doesn't give a wow feeling anymore. In pasta there were way too much from that green things (look like pea but something else)
The service:
- friendliness of the waitress 5*
- serving the food on time 2*. I mean we had to ask 2x for our drink. The starter came exact time as main. One starter even came later after asked again for it.
In the US 🇺🇸 in Miami BB Gump I enjoyed my visit better.
E. T.
Emtious was a fantastic server, couldn’t do any more for you, food was lovely, would highly recommend
D.
KIDS EAT FREE! I’ve always passed this restaurant on the pretense it would be gimmicky and overly priced for tourists. After navigating London with 3 kids, struggling to find a place that would accommodate us and numerous small entrances (double buggy) we decided that any place will do as we were pretty hungry by then. A sign reading kids eat free was intriguing so I asked what the deal was and no joke kids eat free, what they missed out was - with each adult meal. 3 kids and 2 adults meant 2 kids ate free... we didn’t know this until we came to order as I asked about the kids eat free offer. No problem, at least 2 ate free, looking through their menu the prices were sky high but then again it is central London. So we ordered, food arrived initial taste was surprisingly good. I enjoyed my food and it seemed the kids did also... staff were very pleasant and went out their way to accommodate for kids. Venue seemed family friendly and access wasn’t an issue. Souvenir shop wasn’t bad for the kids either. This place saved the day, will return.
L. R.
I had a lovely server today she goes by the name Tanai, I also got the fried chicken and it wonderful!
K. T.
Service was efficient, which was good as we didn't have much time. And we didnt have to prebook since it was 5.30pm on a Sunday. My shrimp bucket starter was big. No real vegetables came with the main courses at all, just a tiny pot of coleslaw. Food quality wasn't nearly as good as the Bubba Gumps we've eaten at in America. Alcoholic cocktails didn't seem to have much alcohol in them at all but tasted ok. The shop is amusing.
X. A.
Lovely service from jasmine, food came really quick and bit expensive but seafood boil is a must have really good taste of you like shrimp 😁 may come again
J. C.
My second time and really enjoyed it. Food is pretty good and the service was exceptional. Have to say this is a much better Bubba than the one in Malaysia.. 😁
A. S. (.
I absolutely loved going to this place! The decorations are amazing and the concept behind everything is also pretty fun.
I had shrimp for entree and an hamburguer as a main course. The shrimp made me remember the ones my mom used to cook for me, the spices in it were amazing and it tasted divine. The burger had a tiny downside to it for the chicken was a little overcooked so it was as tender and juicy as I was expecting. The staff was always checking to make sure everything was alright with our food and that we were enjoying it.
Funny fact, only place I've been to that has got the option of getting broccoli as a side dish, and this amazed me for I am a huge fun of broccoli.
s. M.
Good food and drinks , interior amazing lovely for the film lovers ! However , the service is terrible waited more than 30 mins for our food and when it came it was the wrong thing our server was amazing and sorted it out for us however i ended up waiting an hour for my food when the lady that sat us down told us the max time we can stay is 1.5h we then ordered a margarita with a corona which we waited 30 mins for , it wasn’t even busy and there was a lot of staff on so it shouldn’t of taken that long to bring a drink over when big groups had theirs before we did . All in all not sure if we’d come back as it seems that staff we’d to get proper training and learn how to talk to customers and apologise for the inconveniences instead i got a server blankly staring at me and not apologising or saying they will resolve the issue .
S. U.
Very unique surroundings. The food was ok but didnt blow me away. It was a large portion of food but I didnt feel the price difference from frozen version of the food to this unfortunately. I felt the pricing for what it was, overpriced.
J.
Really enjoyed this forest gump themed restaurant, great atmosphere and American decor. The service was good and the food was excellent. They also have a bar you can just stop by and have a few drinks at and a bubba gump gift shop with some cool items.
O. G.
Lovely food and atmosphere. The staff were amazing and very patient with us (as we were the last ones to leave). I would definitely go again.
A. B.
The food was really delicious and our server Rodrygo was very friendly. Would come again for sure
a. G.
The steam snow crab is well worth it. The staffs n supervisor constantly checking ..
Requested other sauce was given tempura sauce. Squeezed lemon into it. Dipped the crab meat..n ate with sticky rice providéd.
Dessert brownies with vanila ice cream.
Should provide mallet to break crab shells. Overall very nice.
Will come for the snow crab again.
The restaurant has now changed hands. The king crab is now off the menu.
Bye bye gump
C.
Come to Bubba's and experience a little bit of Gump, mainly shrimp but it's an experience that mostly caters for tourists, but it's in the heart of London.
So I went for the Shrimp 🍤 of course, done four ways with some dips, it's okay, staff are friendly but they had air-con problems.
Still it's pretty cool to come eat here.
K. M.
Very good food, but the shrimps are only on the top of the cone, which feels disappointing, Jambo is amazing! All in all a good place for shrimp, or if you are looking for a home style southern American food. Waitress are friendly too
N. B.
The shrimp very very good.. other food mmmm not to much..a little bit expensive
M. D. (. s.
Expensive but was really nice. Kind waitresses and the restaurant wasn't too crowded, it was chill. Nice experience.
D. B.
Really good food and good service. Kids love this place, and there is something here for everyone. You don't need to love sea food to find the experience top notch!
M.
Funky place to eat in West End. The prices are not cheapest but the food is fresh. Nice decoration and lovely staff.
Y. P.
Good place, they were a bit short staffed but the waitress was very good and we all had a nice time. Kids and family enjoyed it, recommend it for family night out.
S. A. R.
Quite expensive for what you get. Ordered Shrimper’s Heaven for £24.50 and was expecting lots of shrimps but the 4 cones was mainly filled with chips and only had a few shrimps on top.
A. S.
Incredible food, amazing service, watching my favourite film while eating and drinking some of the best food I've ever had was so good and I'd recommend It to anyone! P.s if you get the BBQ burger be sure to add avacado, best thing ever!
M. H.
If you love Shrimps you will love bubba gumps.
Prices are a little higher as expected but for a location in this particular aera of London and the fact beeing the only Restaurant in europe, it is totally worth it.
Hope to get a "shrimpers net catch" as soon as possible again ;)
A. E.
Friendly staff, nice surroundings but food average and too much chips served with everything. If you like fried food with totally covered in batter and not that much shrimp then it's the ideal place to go. Not value for money.
C. C.
Staff are super friendly, didnt like the mac and cheese starter it actually contained 4 prawns and not shrimp, My Bourbon street Mahi Mahi arrived cold I had to send it back but my waiter was polite about it but when I got it back i quizzed whether it was heated in the microwave as I expected a fresh plate but he claimed it was heated in the oven but why in the first place and then the fish was Bland it's just something I wouldn't order again but my waiter PANOS made our night throughout and with his little quirky quiz at the end of the night
F. D.
Really fun, themed restaurant. Food was really tasty and exceeded our expectations. The staff were fantastic, all very friendly. Special shout out to our server Bekir - made us feel very welcome and took time to speak with us despite it being a busy Saturday night!
T.
This restaurant is always welcoming and staff are nice.
Different choice of food to order and taste yummy. I love going to Bubba anytime I am around piccadilly that's my to go place for a meal. Bonus is that it ain't too expensive either.
M. W.
I was very hopeful for this place but the food was almost "fast food" quality, the sauces obviously had been left out for some time with a film over the top & the food luke warm. The selection of shrimp was good & tasty. Thr service was also terrible, we had to wait almost 20 minutes for a round of drinks to be brought to the table. I would not recommend.
R. C.
I enjoyed my food (The steak was cooked as desired and seasoned well... The other dish was hush puppies, battered prawns, battered fish, chips, slaw and sauce) and some cocktail drinks. They could have put less ice though as the price was a lot for how much actual drink you got. Servers were nice and friendly. One was singing when he walked by which I liked. Nothing worse than a miserable waiter. Asked for sauce. Came quickly. Music was uplifting and at the perfect volume so you can hear the people you're with. Price of the food especially with service charge was a lot but was tasty. The kids meal was well presented in a boat and my son said it was nice. I'd come again but not often.
F.
Quite expensive, but good food and pleasant atmosphere.
The place is Forrest Gump themed, so if you're a fan of the movie, you'll love it.
The meals are around £15 and they add a 12.5% service fee to every bill.
If you're not a fan of shrimp, there are fish meals and also grilled chicken and ribs, but shrimp is what this place is all about, so I highly recommend trying some.
A. V.
My husband and I had a wonderful Meal and we were served by Raiu, he had excellent customer service skills and was smiling the whole time, he went above and beyond. You can tell he loves his job!
T. T.
Not the quality or service of other BGs on the planet(eg US, Mexico). Wouldn't serve tea after 10pm because the machine was turned off. Really, hot water needs a special machine?
C. S.
Amazing atmosphere. Really authentic to bubba gumps in the movie. Lovely service. We only popped in quickly and had dessert and drinks but it was really worth the visit. We sat upstairs, had a lovely booth and lots of funny signs to read.
The puddings were delicious. Will go back to London for cinnamon bread pudding alone!!
R. R.
Really lovely food and great service. We had a couple of the cocktails too which were both nice. The Pan seared Salmon was beautiful....we were too full for dessert!
Y. S.
The theme setting in the restaurant was amazing, it feels like you are in one of the diner in America. The food was nice and fresh, however it's a bit pricey in there.
R. S. T.
Great customer service
Food for kids portions are standard in terms of adults kids under 5 is ok over 5 maybe a bit more hungry. This is from my son's view.
Food is tasty and will recommend to families.
T. O.
Visited this restaurant 4 days ago. Never heard of it before then. I like American theme going on. I ordered the tilapia fillet on Mashed potatoes in lobster butter sauce. It was beautifully presented and mouth-watering. I must say though that it wasn't well seasoned enough for me so I had to use some table salt and pepper to enhance the taste. After that, the dish was ok. The waiters were just ok. Not much warmth coming from them to be honest. The toilet was clean. Overall deserves a 4 star.
S. B.
Excellent staff. The service is probably one of the best I had in London and for such a busy place it is even more remarkable. The portions are huge and the food is very well cooked. There is a really nice atmosphere particularly helped by the fact that everywhere you look there is a smile. Recommended for families and groups of friends maybe not as ideal for a romantic date as it is a bit loud
l.
This maybe a venue in the heart of the #TwoCities but it never seems crowded even when most of the tables are full. Food and drinks are good and the service is excellent. Thanks to Raiu for serving me on my latest visit. Excellent customer service, couldn't do enough.
m.
If you love the film this is the place to go, it has been a year or so since I last visited Bubba Gump. The staff are friendly and helpful and food was served quick and hot. I my fish was fresh and hot and I liked the change of a light batter on the fish. The only downside of coming here is the cost it is a bit pricey for what you get that's why I have dropped a star.
P. A.
It was less than half full upstairs but it still took an age to be seated, this is while they were bookings only; people with bookings were walking away!
We spent 20 mins sitting downstairs before we were let upstairs to be seated - their loss as we would have happily ordered drinks while we waited.
The food was super minimal, my food had 3 ingredients, shrimp, sauce and bread but still took 30 mins to come.
The themeing was excellent. It was like a hard rock cafe dedicated to only Forrest Gump.
All in all, it was an enjoyable, allbeit slow, experience. I'll remember the setting more than the food.
The price was reasonable for the location, all in, I give it 4/5, shant return.
N. C.
I loved this restaurant, the forest gump themed is perfectly put, the atmosphere is really good and the food is really good. There is also some item from the movie and most of the food name are inspired by it too. A really nice restaurant to go if you liked the movie. The staff was also nice and fun to interact with.
R. A.
I fell in love with the interior design and the idea behind it. It’s such a lovely place. The food is good too and the staff are friendly
M. H.
Great food and great staff. Definitely will return
A. A.
Liked this place , very spacious restaurant, happy staff and shrimps were very tasty .
Priced fair and their Cajun fries are really addictive !
I recommend for shrimp lovers .
Nice one !
A. B.
Awesome restaurant, awesome food. Great theming too, one of my favourite films. Don't be deceived by the 'taster' pudding option ... it's enough to feed a small family haha
T. C.
Good for the bragging rights but a fairly limited restaurant. Some attentive staff but a fair amount of struggle communicating. Worth a visit for the theme but otherwise unremarkable.
D.
The four stars are for the Lime cheesecake and Raiu's customer service.
The place is average, nothing too special and pretty expensive.
n. W. S. J.
Good food! Waitress got order wrong then tried blaming us! Dont go for fish sandwich (u can get that anywhere!) Is pictured with the chips.
M. F.
Great experience, food was really tasty
L. S.
Go upstairs! They will ask if you like a seat down stairs or upstairs, and downstairs doesn't look like much at all. Really enjoyed the food, and the whole look and style of the resturant. A film fans one to tick off for sure. Service was quick as you get these cool flip signs as to when you do and when you don't need assistance. Could have been that little bit more friendly though and that's why it's not quite 5 stars.
R. N.
Food was okay but the portions were tiny. 🤔
I. D.
Run Forrest Run! Always happy to visit here, great cocktails, lots of shrimp and you get to watch (part) or the film!
T.
Service and prices pretty average but the food was incredible and the portions are very generous. Definitely try the speciality drinks, they're delicious!
K. B. L.
Beautiful setting and brings back memories of the film which is one of the most intricate films you will see or have seen.
10++ stars for the warm welcoming service but I haven't tried the food yet.
Entrance is wheelchair accessible which leads directly to the shop area where there are a good many gift ideas to select from.
I was in there for a few minutes and at least 7 groups and couples have come in already having reserved a table.
So reservations seem a good idea.
Overall nice ambience and good music.
B. T.
Very cool restaurant for fans of Forrest Gump! Lots of cool merchandise and references. The shrimp was good but not amazing. Had to go once though
g. I.
Had to book as this place is very busy. Excellent shrimp. The wife commented that the Toilets were really unclean.
M. S.
Visited this restaurant on the 4th December with my partner and deffo would go back again the food was gorgeous and staff were friendly....
L. L.
Server who looked like Oliver Queen from Arrow - made our visit very enjoyable! Despite the food being average. Mac and cheese was very thin. But impressed by service. Thanks!
C. A.
Food was amazing and service was Stella. Well worth a visit.
P. C.
Excellent seafood boil. Jasmine was a terrific server. Would return.
o.
I love this place. All dishes are cooked to perfection. I often hear American portions are bigger, makes me want to try the American version. Quite pricey but highly recommended.
J. J.
Food was very good as always. New staff needs more training, but by the look of it they’re working on it.
D. G.
Great atmosphere and forest Grump nostalgia theme , well staffed and large food portions, nice for something different
M. N.
My favourite place to eat Cajun Shrimp! They’ve changed the menu recently and no longer provider the 1,5 p catchers net which is a huge disappointment and bumped the bill another £10. It will be pricey but it’s a nice experience. They also no longer quiz you about the film. I’ve been dozens of times and always impressed only this time dissatisfied. That’s why still a 5*
S. S.
Very nice food, child friendly restaurant. Spacious and clean. Will definitively come again. Great view.
B. G.
Nice food at a good price freindly and welcoming staff and all ways willing to help.
j. b.
Food excellent!! Staff excellent!! I dont no what else to say 🤦🏾♀️ only that this was my first time goin, and I'm going again very soon! There was to much to choose from so I'm trying to work my way through the menu lol. You will not be disappointed. Dont worry if you not a shrimp lover there is other things to choose from.
M. 0.
It's a very fun unique experience if you've never been before, the menu is something different and overall a good time out. It's just a bit overpriced for no real reason, for that reason it doesn't feel like a place you'll return to after you tried it once. It's easy to rack up a high bill then your service charge comes in at the end and you're spending much more than expected. Lovely place but won't be returning.
G. E.
Believe it or not, in Leicester Square it probably can't get any better. For a touristy, themed restaurant, this one gets it all right. Decent food, decent price, good service, nice theme, family friendly. Go there! :)
S. B.
Best Fish and Chips so far. Highly recommended to those visiting London. Good atmosphere. Will take you back memory lane if you’ve watched Forrest Gump.
G. S.
If you love the film, you'll love the decor. It's full of pictures and memorabilia. Its styled very much like the ones in the states.
The food is ok, and averagely priced for a London restaurant (not the cheaper chains, we paid just over £100 for 3 of us, so maybe not so cheap really). The waiter/waitress staff were pleasant and attentive.
The reason for my 3 star rating, is this place practices one of my favourite pet hates. They add an "optional" service charge to your bill and if you have an issue with it, you have to ask for a manager to remove it.
Now don't get me wrong, I pay a tip if a waiter has his finger in my soup, but I CHOOSE to pay a gratuity, but I hate being told to do so and made to look like a villain if I don't. For this reason alone, this will be the last time I eat here.
A. W.
Lovely place with nice food, very friendly staff. Worth to visit, specially if you are Forrest Gump fan.
L. D.
I Spent a great time with my daughter who love shrimps. So it was the place to go for her. People was very nice with us. And meal is free for child at 12 to 5pm. What else!
I. A. E. !.
Fabulous Place!🤗 Lovely food! If you are a fan of the movie or the books you must see it! I love it!
K. R.
Deserves a 3.5.
Food was very good for what it is. Came quickly too.
Environment was great. Great for kids.
Let down by poor staff who couldn't be bothered and didn't seem to know anything. Total lack of knowledge about the menu. Even overcharged us £5 for every cocktail.
Shame, as it could be so much better.
d. h.
Price of food was too high for the quality of food (which was nice) however I guess this is what you expect in central London. Our waitress was very good, especially in view of the fact it was her first day. Thank you
K. G.
Great food. Service excellent. Good deserts . Seafood is great.
D. K.
This is a great place to eat if you are a fan of the movie, and you like fried sea food. Not terribly veggie friendly, the staff advise to steer clear of the veggie burger. But the portion sizes are big, the atmosphere is fun and the staff are attentive.
R. S.
Restaurant inspired by the movie Forrest Gump. A lot of the menu is shrimp/fish related but there are plenty of non-fishy food to choose from. It's not the cheapest place, but tasty food and an excellent location in central London. The restaurant is huge too so should have no problems getting in to eat.
k. p.
Service not the best, was left sat for 15 plus minutes before anybody came to ask if we were ready to order. The table next to us came after and got served before us. Food was good, service charge automatically added at 12.5% which seems alot for not alot of service. Felt abit bad for the guy taking orders as he seemed a little awkward and not sure what to do. Maybe more training is needed as plenty staff just wandering. Drinks very over priced. Being in the busy part of London thought it would be better.
c. c.
Amazing food, Amazing service, this place won't dissapoint.
C. C.
The food was good especially the combi shrimps. Yummy. However, considering it wasn't that busy the service was poor and the food didn't all come at the same time, which left my granddaughter about to start on hers when we had finished. She wasn't happy 😕and she didn't eat much. They did reflect this on the bill though, so thank you for that. We would try it again
S. P.
Great food, nice and cosy place, friendly staff and service. The place is good reminder of the movie Forest gump.

The theme is great and the staff are so friendly. If youve seen the film i reccomend trying it out.

I think the idea of the experience here fat outweighs the product produced when you visit. Small and breaded deep fried shrimp with frozen fries....it is what it is: a low cost, easy meal that you unfortunately pay a high price for. A large, yet mostly unfilled restaurant which is s tourist trap.

When the name was "Bubba Gump", it was more attractive than "shrimp and grill", the merch was awesome too

First time at Bubba gump and we really enjoyed it. Food was really good, be mindful of the American sizes though, we had to take half of it home in doggy bags lol
The service was excellent, staff were really friendly and even gave my brother a special birthday song and ice cream when we mentioned it was his birthday. Will definitely visit again soon!

Good basic food. More of a novelty 'Forest Gump' visit than a decent restaurant but did the job. Perfect for a pre theatre quick bite.

Bubba Gump is Bubba Gump! If you love Forrest Gump and If you miss this place of your last American journey GO AND EAT SOME SHRIMP!

Found the starter options quite limited, nonetheless the mac & cheese was tasty.
The New Orleans shrimp was well presented but there was no real flavour for me personally
Service was great and attentive
The store was a nice touch also
Overall, the experience was OK. I'm glad I went but in no rush to go back

It was amazing !!!! I literraly could not fault anything! The cocktail was lovely, the food irresistible, the desert was soooo good! And the portion are so big and filling! I can't wait to go back!! Oh and the staff are so polite and welcoming too! We didn't even have a reservation and they litterraly went all.the way to accommodate us!!

Loved my visit to Bubba Gumps. Food was great, company was great as was the service. The whole theme is so good. As you can see from my pic the food went down very well

Though a bit pricey, the experience is worth it. Constantly reminded of film scenes by the decorations. Cheerful staff helped me find the chocolate quote. A must for film fans.

Good service and fun decor with Forest Gump themes. The food however is so overpriced and very average.

It's a nice place and good option for prawn lovers. The food was good but expensive.

Very nice concept. Good food.
Would expect for the WOW, but got only the mmm...

This is a fantastic place to visit if you loved the forest gump movie. Food is excellent. The atmosphere is brilliant and the staff are friendly. The only issue I had was that the gents toilets were dirty and I expected better especially in a time when hygiene is so important.

Really friendly staff with prompt service. My children really enjoyed their meal. Portion size was good for the children. My shrimp was awesome. I had speckled lemonade to drink and my children loved it, so a children's size would be great to offer

If you are a fan of the movie then you'll definitely want to take a trip to this location. The bottom floor is a nice welcoming merch store, allowing you to take photos on a prop bench, press a penny, and buy some themed merchandise. The food section is separated upstairs meaning dining is not disturbed.

Nice food but the annoyance of taking ages to take our order and took even longer to get our bill spoilt it.

Your there mostly for the novelty, but I'd say the food is pretty good, just don't expect to be blown away by anything.

Staff lovely and friendly, food was ok but not worth the money. Very expensive for what you get.

Restaurant on the topic of one of the best movies ever. Staff are very friendly, great food, unique ambience. You must visit when you visit London.

Portion sizes have definitely reduced since covid, but service is still relatively good and prices are as expected for a tourist focused restaurant in a London location.

Absolutely amazing food. Amazing drink and outstanding staff. Honestly, if you're feeling flush with cash on your stay in London then pay this place a visit.
I love this place!

This was an amazing experience, very clean and the staff were very proactive and helpful and understanding. The food was completely amazing. Go visit , take the whole family you won't be disappointed. Great Night had by all!!!

Really tasty shrimp and great atmosphere as the music being played brought back memories. A wonderful waiter too, I think his name was Mariano, who took great of us and made the evening super fun. Thank you!

The customer service is excellent! The food was ok, a decent full flavour, especially on their cajun flavoured shrimp in the catch entree. Would recommend a visit. We ordered from the full menu, but whilst there we noted they had a groupon menu. Personally it was a little too limited for me, but it does work out cheaper if you are ok with the more basic menu options!

Booked a meal for my family whilst on a visit to London. Food was very good (although quite expensive). Staff were excellent and the restaurant was filled with lots of Forrest Gump memorabilia to look at. I would return for sure although I do object to the service charge being added automatically to the bill even though it states it's not compulsory, this is not America (and I would have left a voluntary tip anyhow).

Fantastic food and excellent service. Friendly, attentive staff. Can't wait to go back. Very good value for money. Kids eat free with a full paying adult.

The food was 5 star, however some of the staff seemed very absent minded and it lead to my order being slightly messed up and it was rather awkward, the situation was rectified so props to them for that.

OMG the food was amazing the service was on point staff were wonderful defo will come again.

Food was superb and service was great.

Nice food.
But pricey for what it is. Prawns not very fresh. Be careful.
Great Forest Gump Atmosphere!!

As always great food and service. If I was a king, I'd have New Orleans shrimps for lunch every day !! ☺️

We visited today for our sons birthday and absolutely loved it. The staff were really friendly and attentive, the food was amazing and as we are seafood lovers found it so hard to chose from the menu as there was so much ! Also there is something for everyone on the menu if you are not too keen on fish. We didnt find it over priced at all - especially considering it's location . We will definitely go back, and I wish they would open one in Bluewater!

Made a reservation for 16.15 arrived 10 minutes early, was told we had to wait till our booked time, fair enough but walk ins still allowed in before us, when we were allowed in it was very empty upstairs, food was ok althoughthe onion rings were soggy and very pale looking, they didn't get eaten, I ordered a drink because it came in a light up glass you could take home, but when it was served it was just in a plastic beaker, if the server had said I would of ordered something else.
Personally I think its very over priced, only went as we were going to the Theatre across the road.
They also add a service charge, I like to add a tip if service is good or not.
I don't recommend here, unless you get a Groupon deal.
Used the toilet on my way out, omg it was disgusting, someone must of had a bad stomach, reported it to the manager, don't know the outcome as we left.

Nice food, lovely staffs.

We last visited here 3 years ago and the service left a lot to be desired. However this visit was so much better, the staff were helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and hot. So glad we came again.

This is a must if you're a fan of Forrest Gump and TGI Friday's. The menu is a perfect representation of what you'd expect from the restaurant chain from the movie. Everything has the option of shrimp (you don't have to have it don't worry) and all the meals are fantastic fun and tasty, slightly better than TGIs in my books.
Service was friendly and the theming is perfect. All the tables have references too and the place is a semi shrine to movie and set pieces dotted about. They also have a gift shop to add to the experience. On the higher side of prices but worth it for the experience!

Booking delayed by 25 min, they were at capacity, so took a walk around Leicester Square - so not a major issue.
Once seated service was friendly and efficient.
Glad to find, spacious and clean, baby changing facilties in the male toilets 🚻

Went to Bubba Gump Shrimp after a day at the cinema to grab some food for the evening
The service was excellent, our server Steven was open for conversation and reccomended a few cocktails for my friend throughout the evening. The restaurant uses a tin sign system that you flip on the table to gain the waiters attention which was a fun add on to the quirkiness of the establishment.
🚩My first red flag was the menu, there wasn't many options for vegetarians and even less for vegans, although I wasn't expecting much as I was in a seafood oriented restaurant. I ordered the hand made veggie burger that came with chips for £16.50 which I thought was a bit steep for a burger and chips. 🍔🍟
🚩🚩The quality of the burger was extremely low and tasted frozen, the greatest part of my meal was the chips, which tasted over salted, as well as my strawberry daiquiri cocktail 🍸 🥶🧂
As for the atmosphere, the restaurant is very fun and family friendly, the decor is quirky and pays homage to the Forest Gump movie, even playing the film throughout the resteraunt on loop.
In conclusion, I'd reccomend if you are a lover of seafood, as my friends seemed to enjoy their food, although I personally won't be coming back any time soon.

Very nice food and drink but felt rushed as our mains arrived whilst still eating our starters l
