Amazing food and amazing service! Steaks are freshly cut once and cooked to order. The lovely couple who own the restaurant are extremely welcoming and their lovely waitress was very attention and friendly. This restaurant has a great reputation for a reason! I would highly recommend and I can't wait to return!

Don't let the location of Sim's dissuade you from trying it: this casual, cosy steakhouse can compete with SE3's finest! The menu is simple and unfussy and the high-quality steaks are cooked to perfection, with sauces made fresh to order, unlimited feta and tomato salad, and a choice of chips, sautéed or baked potatoes. The portions are generous, especially given the very reasonable price. And the staff members are delightful! Friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely be returning.

I have had many a steak in my life, and I have enjoyed each and every one, but never have I enjoyed it quite to the extent that I enjoyed this steak. I had the sirloin, done at a perfect medium rare, and it was beyond compare. As someone who came here because we just wanted a steak- we weren't too picky on where from, just somewhere close to our accomodation that doesn't make our eyes completely water at the price, this has completely blindsided me. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with an utterly gorgeous peppercorn sauce. I can't only focus on the steak (although I know it will visit me in dreams until I can return back to visit!), The service was also absolutely phenomenal. The waitress who took our order was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the homely atmosphere of the restaurant was incredibly relaxing and inviting. The other staff were equally incredibly approachable, and checked on our food, ensured we were tended to our every need. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to any of you. It may be a bit out of reach if you're around the Greenwich area, but is incredibly, incredibly worth the trip. For £26 you can have a steak, feta cheese and chips that will genuinely rock your world. (Also, the chicken steaks were also absolutely juicy, tender and delicious - my partner had it and thoroughly enjoyed the garlic chicken steak!) There's a nice selection of teas and coffees for after too!

This is a restaurant I must have passed hundreds of times and never noticed it. We went recently for a girlfriend’s birthday and had a great time. The staff in the family run restaurant are lovely and the service is informal and friendly but attentive. The plates are uncomplicated and unpretentious with a hint of nostalgia but extremely tasty. The meat has a lovely barbecued flavour and the potions are generous. I had the T-bone as it’s not often you see it on a menu outside of the over priced central London steak chains. It filled the plate and was cooked perfectly medium rare. If you’d rather have fish there were some great options too. One of our group had Sea Bass which looked lovely. Would highly recommend for a group or just a couple’s evening supper.

We got there early. We bought our father in law and our 5-year old daughter. The service was top-notch. Friendly, great with kids, and helpful. The steaks were the best I've ever had. Right amount of chips. Would recommend.

We went to Simms for the steaks I heard so much about this place and wanted to see if it's as good as other places we've been to. Well we were not disappointed! Simms had a special Veal T bone it was so big and thick I was blown away it was the best steak I've eaten in years. My partner had Ribeye. We highly recommend. No frills just awesome food at a decent price. The waitress was so lovely and Simm came over and had a chat. Go here and enjoy decent portions and great great steaks.

Fantastic food and friendly, helpful service. The ribeye was delicious. Edited to add that we've been back several times and tried many other dishes on the menu. The food has been consistently fantastic and we have been made to feel very welcome. Have taken several different friends there and they've all been impressed. All the steaks have been of high quality and cooked just how we've asked for them. The seafood starters are also amazing. 01/10/2020 edited to add that Sim's is now open again and the food is just as fantastic as ever.

Came across this steakhouse whilst searching for a place to eat, the 630g T Bone steak and the old 80s darkish gloomy atmosphere is what attracted us. We ordered the chicken wings for starters. A Rib eye, lamb chops and the T bone steak for mains. Chef Sim would even let us watch him cook the steak, and sort of explaining to us the difference between Veal T Bone steak and Dry aged T Bone steak. We haven’t felt this warm for a long time eating in a restaurant in the UK. My dad was enjoying the food so much that he barely talks. Chef Sim would even take a couple minutes to talk to my dad as if they were old friends. It has been a great pleasure.

Because we moved we hadn't been for over 10 years the welcome was warm and friendly, sim still remembered, our names of all four of us . And we always had T bone steaks . Everything is cooked to order Sim doesn't cook just for his buisness, He cooks for his love and passion for wonderful food. Driven past many times but had dinner last night there as walking past. Don't be concerned about the decades-old decor, you're there for the food... Sim cuts each steak off the joint to ensure freshness. We had the veal T-bone between us. Chargrilled to perfection with a light rose pink core. To start we had a portion of fresh kofte and also grilled chicken wings. Sides of house cut steak fries and a Greek salad. Bottle of medium-bodied Yakut , Turkish red wine from the Carignan grape (I recommend fully). Sim and his wife love their restaurant and love serving simple well-cooked dishes. If you want a very good steak and fries, go visit.

Went here for the first time tonight. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff and chef were so friendly and the food great. Best steak I’ve ever eaten and portion size was huge. My husband had T-bone and I had sirloin, it was so tender. We will definitely be returning and would recommend to everyone.

One of the best steakhouses I've ever visited. Everything was made to order and the steaks even handcut in front of us - a T bone and a ribeye cooked perfectly by Sim. His experience at the craft really showed. This was our first time here and our first restaurant visit this year, and we couldn't have felt safer with decent space between tables and appropriate Covid measures in place. I would choose Sim's over the central London chains anytime. Thank you and hope to visit again soon - I hope others will be able to enjoy a great meal here and support a real gem of a local restaurant.

A hidden gem. From the outside you may think this is an old 70's style place. You couldn't be further from the truth! Although retro in style, the service is always immaculate. Sim cooks everything perfectly and from scratch to order. You will see your steak at the table before its cooked. Fantastic value and the nicest people. Definitely worth a visit... 10/10. x

Great delicious fresh food. Lamb is perfect and the t-bone was so so delicious, especially with the red wine and mushroom sauce. Service is absolutely out of this world. Friendly staff and chef is fantastic too. Food cooked in front of your eyes. Will definitely be coming back . If you want great food, then this is the place to eat. You will not be disappointed. I go at any opportunity travelling about 26 miles. Sim's is simply the best for steaks, I love the T-bone plus also the delicious starter dishes they expertly present. I have tried most of the menu now and give this place full marks if you love good quality tasty food presented nicely.

A wonderful family-run establishment. From the outside, you wouldn’t necessarily expect very much. But the food is of very high quality (lovely steaks, chicken and fish) and excellently cooked. The portions are huge so go hungry! Highly recommend!

Old fashioned in its design , this cosy family owned restaurant with white table clothes serves amazing fillet steaks of near Guacho standards. In fact the pepper sauce was even better. The taste still lingers on my tongue. The side salad was fresh and divine and the warm pita bread home baked. Go you really won't be disappointed.

Highly recommended. I have been to most of the good steak restaurants in London (Relais de Venice, Hawkesmoor and Buen Ayre. This is as good if not better. I ordered the chefs favourite which was a fillet stuffed with feta and had the chefs special sauce. I am definitely going back again. A hidden gem.
