The atmosphere is good. Live music makes the afternoon tea more enjoyable. Freddie look after us really well and took time to chat to us. The food especially the sandwich is really nice. Definitely will come back again.

We had such an amazing time tonight at Sketch. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. The food was inventive and on the whole delicious (one dessert I just didn't like, but I am sure that's down to personal preference). The surroundings are quite spectacular and really quite unique. Highly recommend this place for amazing food, interesting cocktails and unique surroundings.

One of my favorite spots in London. I'm a big fan of the interior design and art, they do an amazing job. And you have to check out the bathrooms. A truly unique experience for afternoon tea. Come VERY hungry and expect high prices for the experience. I will say my first visit, the service was incredible. The second visit, the waitress was a bit sassy about my friends severe nut allergy, other than that though, highly recommend.

Lunch (Library & Lecture Room). Extraordinary experience. The building and the decor is incredibly unique. Great service with an almost theatrical execution, friendly staff, attention to detail and care across all elements- from the service to the food, and from a culinary perspective- a very high standard. The venison was one of the best plates of food I’ve ever enjoyed. Desert wasn’t as spectacular as anticipated but still multifaceted and complex. Overall, very memorable and absolutely worth the visit. Look forward to enjoying the other rooms soon. Completely worthy of its 3 Michelin Stars.

Unbelievable. Very attentive and friendly service, amazing wine list, you could spend a weekend reading it. Great champagne options to start with.
Fantastic food easily 10/10

Like many before me, the experience overall was excellent. I am not an afternoon tea person but the theme, the space, the service and the music made it. The eggs in the washroom could use a small light inside and a vent as I did encounter an unpleasant one from a prior use. The amount of traffic caused by selfies was a little too much for a washroom though. Maybe a little less photos on the stairs would be appreciated.
The service was good. When it was on, the staff were all attentive and quick. All made the effort to converse and connect. We had small delays which was strange as many around had much quicker service.
The only let down was the food. Presented beautifully. The macrons were way too sweet (my fault for having a Ladurée prior to my visit), the sponge cake was dry and scones were slightly too moist. Sandwiches were good and the marshmallow excellent. I didn’t try all items as many were cheese based.
Overall the rating is good. I got to enjoy two hours relaxing and forgetting my day. As a tea experience if you are into this tradition, I am sure it is excellent but my other afternoon tea experiences were always a hit food wise which Sketch let me down a bit. The only item I cared about (scones) paled compared to ones I have had prior.

I went for the afternoon tea with my friends. Love the atmosphere and the staffs were so friendly and attentive. The tea selections were nice and I love the refillable teapots. And don't forget to go to the most instagrammable toilets to take pictures.

Amazing place! Superb staff, food and truly unique interior (including the bathrooms!!!). Totally recommend! Had an amazing brunch there. Thank you, guys!

Amazing tea in a lovely, surprising setting. Quality of food and service excellent. Good price. You even get live violin music whilst you eat.
Amazing decor. Will be back.

We have visited the glade for breakfast the decorations were amazing. Every single detail was perfect. Food was excellent and staff friendly. Unfortunately they only give you about an hour to enjoy the breakfast so the stay was quite short. Would love to come again to a different room

I was so very much looking forward to this as a whole experience. The decor, the music, the staff and of course the food. The food was such a let down, it was nice, nothing wrong with it, but nothing special or Avant Garde about it. For the price I thought I would get food with extra thought and a twist.
The staff was lovely and attentive, but I did have to re-order a cocktail when 15 min later it hadn't arrived and I also had to let them know we never got the scones, clotted cream and jam on the table (which they promptly brought over).
All in all, I expected more. The furniture is starting to look old, as in they are dirty where people walk past and place their hand on it. The dusky pink is no longer dusk, it has turned into dusty pink.

One word: AH-MAZ-ING
Make sure you make a reservation when visiting Sketch as this popular location books up rather quickly. We came for Afternoon Tea on a Wednesday and it got full pretty quick. We had a reservation for 12pm so we got some photos without many people around for the first few minutes. There is coat check at the front before you enter the gallery if you wish to do that.
Note: The Gallery recently got a makeover from the previous pink room 💗which is now a yellow room 💛!
The afternoon tea starts with a choice of drink where you can choose Sketch Afternoon Tea, British Sparkling Afternoon Tea, Champagne Afternoon Tea or Alcohol-Free Afternoon Tea. We opted for for Sketch Afternoon Tea where you have bottomless choice of teas that you can change throughout your meal. As you would have probably guessed the British Sparkling Afternoon Tea has choices of sparkling wine or rose and the Champagne Afternoon Tea would be Champagne choices 🥂🍾. Alcohol-Free Afternoon Tea has some juice options and some specialty teas not available with the standard Sketch Afternoon tea ☕🫖. (don't quite me but I believe if you get any of the other options you would still have access to the regular teas available 🫖)
Getting into the starter you are presented with an Egg Gougere; an egg yolk with egg whites cooked at 63degrees with cheese, bread to dip and caviar 🍞🍳🍽️. When everything is eaten together it is heaven in one bite! The saltiness of the caviar mixed together with the richness of the egg whites, yolk and cheese bundled all together with the crispy bread make a perfect match!
Next comes a beautifully presented assortment of sandwiches and cakes! (I have included pictures of each item along with this review). Sandwiches include Coronation Chicken (free range chicken, baby coriander, pickled red onion, malted bread), Cucumber (cucumber, cream cheese, white bread), Salmon and Ricotta (salmon roe, smoked salmon, Jacob's cream, ricotta, dill, cucumber, rye bread), and Truffle Brioche Bun (black Truffle, cream cheese, brioche bun). The beautiful cakes include Citrus Cheesecake, Strawberry Battenberg, Chocolate Opera Cake, Pineapple Eclair, Blackcurrant Macaron and Cranberry and Coconut Marshmallow 🍰. Note: My favourite sandwich was the Coronation Chicken and my favourite cake was the Blackcurrant Macaron!
Once you are done with all your sandwiches and cakes make sure to check out the bathroom! It is something like no other! Extremely cool egg shaped pods makes you feel like you are teleported into the future!
Scones! You get the choice of a raisin scone or a plain scone. The raspberry and rose jam was the one that I liked the most! You can also ask for a strawberry jam and an organic fig jam 🍓. Last but not least is the raspberry Victoria sponge cake 🍰! This cake was very light, not too sweet with a light crisp on the top! If you are too full you can take this to go! They also ask if there is anything on the menu that you fancied to have another of so now is your chance to scoop up one of your favourites for a second tasting!
Ultimately an awesome expeience, great artwork and decor along with some delicious food presented perfectly!

I came across Sketch as I was in the area and fancied afternoon tea. I had mine upstairs in a very vibrant, neon parlour. The waitress recommend a Rose tea. It was very refreshing and delicate. I had a selection of fresh finger sandwiches, cakes and warm, fresh scones. After nipping to the toilets * A must have * I had a few cocktails in The Glade Bar including a special cocktail to celebrate Mayfair flower festival. The staff are amazing and even charged my phone too. Returned today to try lunch. It was just as good as my first experience

PINK ROOM IS GONE!!!! If you are booking to see the iconic pink room (the gallery), please think twice since it’s gone. It’s now yellowish. It was disappointing since I’ve been wanting to visit for so long. The food was good tho but not amazing for the price. I left hungry and a bit sad.

Dinner at the „gallery“ was an absolute dream!
The waitress was super nice and friendly. :)
Our cocktails 🍸 definitely 5/5.
Food & wine 🍷 perfect!
The interior design was amazing, loved the art on the walls and the music the DJ was playing.
Definitely a great experience! Would 10/10 recommend.
G. S. W.
I went for afternoon tea when the parlour was still pink and enjoyed the decor and super cool toilets. Our sandwiches, teas and pastries along with the service was just ok. Scones were really good though and the champagne teas sound interesting.
M. S.
Came here for afternoon tea before, and returned for breakfast. The best thing about sketch is the decor. Each room has their own theme. A trip to the egg/alien pod loo is a must when you come here.

Truly one of the most creative, beautiful and funkiest restaurants I’ve ever been to in my entire life. The staff go above and beyond and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I felt like a kid in a candy shop with all of the decor, installations and impeccable design. Truly an experience to say the least. To say this place is amazing is an understatement. It’s like walking into an artist’s brain! Unbelievable!

A perfect date spot for a night out in London. The multiple rooms within Sketch give you a bit of everything. The visuals in every room are incredible. The food was tasty, and the only let down was the wine list being extremely overpriced (£400 bottle of wine selling for £150 at most other restaurants). The service was incredible and all in all a wonderful experience
V. Y.
3* standard, wonderful services and ambient. Colourful and interesting decor. Food wise is what is expected of a top notch restaurant.
A. C.
a modern art curated afternoon tea experience at the gallery. the decor is uniquely elegant and the tea selections were beautifully presented. my favorite part were the savory selections and the refillable tea pots and you could even select a new kind of tea to try once finished! also went to the insta-famous igloo unisex bathrooms.

We went to Sketch (The Gallery) for a special date. This place is well known due to the egg shaped toilets that are all over Instagram etc. Whilst the toilet pic is a must the food was just as spectacular. My personal favourite was the pumpkin soup with popcorn (yes popcorn) and passion fruit ice cream. We had a great night and would recommend for a special occasion, just be mindful in regards to the cost of drinking which is no different to any other Michelin restaurants but is more expensive than the usual london restaurants.
K. B.
I was glad to be able to finally make it to one of the trendiest restaurants in London. Sketch is very artsy and definitely Instagrammable.
As I was eating alone, and wanted a great seat so I can people watch etc. So had to wait a few minutes for the table to prepared.
I had dinner in the Gallery which is the main place where people choose to eat. It's a gorgeous room, and lime based in colour. The previous colour and as the picture of the archetypal structure shows, was pink before renovations.
This was more of an experience of being there than eating lots of food, and wanted to specifically try the Jollof rice.
I did order the starter, pumpkin Velouté with passion fruit, popcorn & maize ice cream dish (£15), which came recommended by my fab waiter Stefan, however, it wasn't my cup of tea. It had popcorn, and was like a passion fruit based soup, with ice cream. I was simply trying to explore and try something new and very different but it wasn't for me. It is more of an acquired taste and didn't like it. When I expressed this to Stefan, he kindly took the dish back with no hesitation and helped me order something else.
The waiters were attentive and the service was great.
I popped into the world famous toilets and could see why there is a hype about them. They are like pods, so it's a unisex toilet area because of this.
The jollof wasn't nice. This is a special African originated cuisine, so for it to be called jollof, just isn't right to me. The jollof was watery and lacked the kick and seasoning I was accustomed to. I guess they've made rice which caters to their market, but it should be called something else.
Each room has its own story to tell. Great place and will try this place again, with friends.

It’s been such a nice experience having lunch at sketch (the Glade). I can only recommend it. The menu has a great (big) range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, and the portions are well-sized. The dishes that I had were really tasty!

Very stylish and elegant fun🌷 Great high tea option, loved everything. The infamous pods remind me of Salvador Dali. We even had live violin and cello during high tea, great touch👍

Nice vibe, cool decor. We went for afternoon tea, the food was all really tasty and the toilets are like their own little adventure.
F. M.
The cocktails were very good and the waitress was very helpful...the restaurant was fully booked so my friend and I couldn't have a reservation. I had a very good welcoming and a quick visit of the place.

Lovely place to dine. However, the food taste was average .expected much better ...Bread and butter was the best out of everything ...Service was quite bad ..we literally asked 3 time for some ice and we didn't get it at the end :)...

What an experience! We spent a week searching out the best afternoon tea in London and most enjoyed afternoon tea in the Gallery - the ambience created by 3-piece string ensemble, a visiting ballerina, and well coordinated service. The food inventive and full of flavor. Afternoon tea at sketch is not to be missed!

We had afternoon tea here. Beautiful place with pink theme decor. Very friendly staff. We also got a gift from the kids menu. To be honest, not very impressed with the food. Overall standard food but the place is beautiful.

Funky and quirky in equal measure. Food was great though the breakfast is served in the Parlour and we didn't get to experience the more amazing rooms on offer. Attentive polite, friendly staff though our server spoke super quietly so it was a tad difficult to hear what she was saying. Probably just me getting old and deaf😁. Thanks for the birthday cake too, much appreciated by my daughter. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Had a lovely visit. We were accommodated even though we were walk in customers. Tea served in nice china cups and an afternoon plate of cakes was very reasonably priced for such a nice venue. Very querky uniforms worn by all staff. The toilet assistant was doing a fantastic job behind the scenes (smiling in her uniform, see picture)

This place is magical!
Simply spectacular, the photos don't do it justice, because in person it is even better.
The food and drinks are delicious.
Very friendly staff.
One of the best options if you are visiting London.

Make sure to eat some salt and pepper cashews. Just pick some of the unique cocktails and enjoy great service, lovely interior and look out for the toilets. It's a potty pod experience you won't forget so quickly.
If you want to feel extra special, this is the place.

What an amazing venue!!
We had dinner in the gallery followed by cocktails in the garden room after.
As a venue I would 100 percent recommend attending. The decor and vibe alone is exquisite!
The staff were second to none, extremely professional and so attentive, every time our water was low or our wine was low the sommelier was there in a heart beat tipping us back up.
There really is an arty modern vibe, I've never experienced anything like it before, there's so much to look at and take in. It's one of the most luxuriously decorated places I've sat to have a meal.
What I would say stops me from giving it a 5 star review rating was the food. As a vegetarian the choice is extremely limited so ended up getting a few side dishes as a meal and it really was nothing to sing home about- the dishes were small so needed starter mains and dessert to feel full.... we also krdered a bottle of wine that was £82 quid and when we looked it up after the meal you can get it for £26, severe inflation on the wine which really wasn't necessary in my opinion. However, I did feel the food was a reasonable price for being in the centre of london at a well known venue. Then"SketchUp" is cute too with the chips!
I would definitely go back as the ambience and style of the interior alone is fabulous to enjoy and I would recommend anyone to pay it a visit. Just as a vegetarian I would love to see a better menu choice in the future
A. L.
It’s an experience that it’s worth to try at least once or twice in your lifetime! The customer service is excellent, same as the presentation of the food. In terms of taste, I don’t think it’s for everyday lunch, not sure about the breakfast and dinner and how many times they switch the menu. Nevertheless the atmosphere and the service was impeccable!
B. S.
Amazing setting and delicious Afternoon Tea. The only thing keeping my score from a 5 is that the service was a bit slow/inconsistent and the space felt crowded and a bit noisy for an afternoon tea. We loved the string trio. The restrooms alone are worth the trip.
R. M.
Wowwwww. The best restaurants, was wonderful. Got to see all places in this restaurant, and the toilet is wowww, The staff is very friendly and professional. The food are amazing. Thank you for all♥️
L. S.
Special and creative spaces. Good vibes and dancing music in the ground floor room. All interiors decorated in a funky and original way. Would come back for sure. Staff is so friendly as well👌🏻

A fantastic experience...live string music, a ballerina... toilets straight from a scifi movie ! An amalgamation of some wonderful different artistic styles centered around some amazingly unique and great tasting food delivered to your table with top level service by wonderful staff ! And we only had the afternoon tea experience. A justified price tag for a memorable event, left me very curious to experience the rest of what sketch has to offer.
D. B.
Interesting place. Very friendly staff and food was delicious. Lot of people there just for the photo opp imo. Bit like being on a set but fun. Young vibe the room I was in had DJ.
Y. K.
Sketch afternoon tea used to be my go-to, can't fail, "amazing every time" place for afternoon tea. Unfortunately, my January 2022 visit showed it has become average. Everything was ok, but not amazing. Left feeling disappointed.
M. C.
Lovely time having afternoon tea! The food, staff and ambiance were all incredible and you really do get full even though the sandwiches look tiny. I cannot drink caffeine and was pleased to find such a wide range of herbal tea options on the menu.
J. M.
This place was quirky and weird - which is the look it is going for. The decor was trendy/cool/vibe and staff were all in character- some of the uniforms were very strange. The toilets were bizarre little pods. The staff were friendly and attentive however the food was not great. The vegan option was extremely limited to non existent. The steak was very chewy and I had to give up on it in the end as my jaw was aching! The food in general was average but very overpriced. I have to say this place looked great but was a case of style over substance if you are a after great food.
D. C.
As a vegetarian I don’t recommend this place. The pumpkin soup and mac n cheese (very small portion) were average but the risotto was so dry. The meal was very expensive too so I personally don’t think it’s worth it. The staff were very nice and friendly though.
F. S.
The £19.50 cocktail and £11 glass of wine were bad enough.
The £5.40 gratuity the staff charge for doing the job they're paid to was a liberty.
Then they added an extra quid they added for charity was the icing on the cake.
£47 for 2 drinks. 😏
Toilets are nice though
c.
You walk up the stairs and the curiosity begins, when the huge doors open the wow factor begins and continues all the way through the evening, I would highly recommend the tasting menu and the wine pairing to go with it. The Pierre Gagnaire’s Grand dessert tops the evening off. We will definitely be returning. Outstanding. Gioele was excellent with his information.
R. E. K.
Came for the photos, fell in love with the food. The chocolate dessert & lemon cake were absolutely delicious. Never had something that tasted so decadent, rich and light all at once.
We had dinner in the gallery.
K. R.
We visited on 3/9 and yes the decor is stunning and worth a visit if you can. We went for afternoon tea which was incredibly busy and although seated on time at 2.30pm we were kept waiting 30 minutes before a member of staff took our drink order, the tea pots were hot but contents luke warm. Also the waiter spoke so fast we had no idea of the sandwich fillings so it was a lucky dip, however he did ask us if we had any allergies! Live music was played throughout and the musicians played an array of music from classical to Taylor swift/greatest showman they were amazing and so gained extra brownie points!!!
Before we left we noticed the front room/bar had been opened so popped in for a drink but there was no pricelist and were charged £24 for 1 gin and tonic so be warned!
