Reviews of Sollip

Definitely worth a visit!! There is a nice Korean-inspired twist which blends in just perfectly with all the dishes. I could feel that the chef has put a lot of thought into the combination and flow of the menu.
The service was quick and friendly and the ambience was casual and comfortable.

Sollip is a once in a lifetime experience.
Amazing ambience and decor, brilliantly informative and enthusiastic service, and perhaps the most exquisite food I've ever eaten.
At Sollip, I tasted flavour and texture pairings I didn't know were possible, along with some incredible wines. It's a place I know I'll be back in the future! Must try.

Loving the textures of the dishes... I'm all about the textures and good mouth feel 🤩
10 course Korean inspired tasting menu. Each dish was light and flavours worked so well together (even though I had no idea what half of them were).
Their menu is seasonal so I will definitely be back 👍

Exceptional dinner. Flavours were sublime, unusual and balanced. We loved all the seaweed accents. Each course was a joy and beautifully presented. We also had the wine pairing which was fantastic.
Service was great. Especially the lovely friendly and smiley German waitress who made our evening!
Only thing was that maybe the portions could a tiny bit bigger.
We will definitely be back

Really nice restaurant, excellent food korean inspired. Had a great vegetarian tasting menu. Drinks are expensive so be careful. Definitely recommend for a celebration.

Amazing dishes and an amazing experience we had at this tiny but lovely organic modern designed restaurant.
We came for their winter tasting menu and were not disappointed, my fav was the beef tartare, wagyu was also great and it will be perfect if the meat can be served warmer. And Christian was such a nice person to chat to and her service was spot on, we really enjoyed our night there.

We went to Sollip on our anniversary and it could not have been a better choice.
The dinner consisted of 11 very well balanced dishes that incorporated Korean ingredients with classical French cooking.
Highlights of the set menu included: daikon tarte tatin (lightly caramelised daikon sitting on light flakey pastry and served with a potato and hay puree), gamtae sandwich (an elegant cheese sandwich wrapped in wakame - my breakfast from now on), gochujang beef tartare tartlet (pure flavour bomb that you don't want to end) and the jerusalem artichoke choux (the crispy skins adding texture and the earthiness working beautifully with the fresh pear and creme pat).
The service was knowledgeable and friendly throughout and it's clear that they care: Park, Vita and the team knew that it was our anniversary and made an additional course and card for the occasion!
At £85 a head, this has to be one of the best value for money restaurants in London. I can confidently say that Sollip is now one of my top 5 restaurants in London (Brawn, Brunswick House, Bocca Di Lupo, EatViet being the other 4).

The food was great and innovative. Very rarely do you find a modern Korean fine diner’s in London. Highly recommend the fig tartlet, Beef Tartare, Daikon Tartine and the Cornish Turbot. The only issue maybe was that the Apricot Baba was a bit too sweet. Looking forward to visiting again when there’s a new menu!

Stunning tasting menu and one of the best wine pairings I've had. Do not assume this is "Asian" food. This is fantastic ingredients prepared beautifully and delivered in perfect balance. Cannot recommend highly enough.

An absolutely brilliant experience
The reasonably priced (£98) tasting (winter) menu that absolutely amazes. The wine pairing(£78) was bold, with each wine having something a little unusual and interesting about it, but felt a glass short.
Kristin looked after us exceptionally well, helping bring each course to life.
The Turbot and wagyu dishes were rich but left us wanting more. The desert was something else. It is so nice being surprised with each course.
Congratulations to the chefs.

Wonderful experience. The food was great, the tastes something unexpected, but not too far out there. Not trying too hard like some Michelin starred restaurants tend to do. Minimalist decor, which I liked at least - tables are stacked quite close together in this small place. The staff were excellent, especially Kristin who was very friendly and made one feel welcome and cared for.

Truly creative food and exceptional wine pairings, ranging from burgundy to retsina. A great way to spend three hours!

Food was prepared with passion and creatively executed at a technically high level. The skilled kitchen team has a deep understanding and appreciation of different flavours/ingredients to elegantly combine what may be unfamiliar to the British palate, such as Doenjang, Maesaengi and Nurungji, with European cuisine. Stand out dishes for me were the beef tartare, daikon tarte tatin and the braised short rib. Make no mistake, to call this "fusion" would be an insult.
Despite staff shortages affecting the whole industry, the GM manning the front of house (with the Head Chef/Owner no less!) were faultless. The wines selected for wine pairing were all excellent, and the Korean liqueurs were a pleasant surprise. I'm excited to see how Head Chef/Owner Park Woongchul and this young team grow.
A unique and much appreciated addition to the London dining scene. Despite the appearances of a fine dining establishment, it felt like having dinner at a friend's house - a lot of fun. Thank you for the memories.

A small and cozy, upscale yet informal restaurant (1 minute away from London Bridge station) run by Korean chefs offering a European-style set tasting menu with a subtle Asian twist.
The service was super-friendly and genuinely made us feel welcome.
Perfect for a special treat.

I was here when Sollip first opened last year and I’m so glad they managed to stay open after the lockdown! They now do a tasting menu for £67 consisting of 5 dishes and 3 snacks. Wine paring on top is only £58!
I consider that is a real bargain! I loved everything I had but the highlight of the night for me was definitely the gamtae sandwich and beef tartar! Daikon tarte tartin is also very interesting. Can’t wait to be back to try the autumn menu!!

Absolutely stunning food. Nothing quite like it in London so really unique as well as being absolutely fantastic. Exhilarating to see Contemporary Korean come to London and made me appreciate how subtle and complex Korean cuisine can be. If this is the standard I'd love to see this as a global trend (Dave Chang doesn't count and is less good anyway).
Food was intelligent, creative and insanely delicious. I can't properly articulate how great this is at this price.
Go now before they get busier and prices (deservedly) go up.

Absolutely the best restaurant in the last couple of years for me. Sollip is so elegant in it's atmosphere and the foods. All the dishes I had were just exceptional. Especially, very unique tartare, barley risotto, short rib and creme brulee! Just amazing flavours, wow. Highly recommend to anyone who loves eating! I believe it's more than a Michelin Star!

Very good service, interesting wine list, and great dessert.
I would expect a bit more consistency in flavor of the daikon Tarte Tartin. Some part the daikon is too bitter and some is too sweet.
I really appreciate the idea of Korean influence on contemporary French cooking. But I would expect a little bit more of the Korean expression on the dishes. In my opinion the Mugwort tart is the perfect reflection and combination. The different layer of bitterness and subtle sweetness washed away the heaviness of the earlier dishes and ended the dinner perfectly. I hope that in the future we can see more of the cultural identity in the menu:)

Visited recently and was sooo looking forward to dine in here before!
Their dishes are amazing!
- But especially Nurugji Sourdough and Whey Butter is full of flavour and you can find Rice as well!
- BARLEY RISOTTO is STUNNING!
The cream and barley and dried acorn are harmonising perfectly 👌
- JOCHUNG madeleines was SO GOOD!
Texture is not quite the one we knew before, still unique and delicious!
They are bathrooms and ceramics are fascinating as well!
I wish i could give them 100/10 :)

Very well presented and extremely tasted food! The portion size is very small and quite expensive for what you’re getting. It’s definitely a fine dining culinary experience but you might leave still feeling a bit hungry! Not sure if it’s worth the money. Sadly don’t think I’ll be back here.

It’s located on a quite street near London Bridge. The food is well presented and tasty with interesting Korean inspired concepts and ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very chill and relaxing.

Fantastic food and service in this lovely restaurant in London Bridge. Every dish was amazing, tasty and very well presented. We arrived 10 minutes before last orders, didn't feel rushed at all, food arrived promptly and the chef even came out to see us at the end which was a really great gesture.
We had the Nurungji Sourdough which had a crisp crust and soft bread, the Spicy Beef Tartare which was probably the best tartare I've ever had. The braised beef short rib was melt in your mouth delicious and the Sollip Cassoulet was amazing as well.
On leaving we were given the Matcha & Yuza Madeleine to take home which was the icing on the cake and a great way to end a fantastic dining experience.
Prices are reasonable and they have a good selection of wine.

Excellent new restaurant serving refined French dishes with a hint of Korean inspired flavours. Service was superb, with the chef even taking time to greet customers. A real gem!

Came for dinner last night. All four of us were utterly delighted and enthralled by each perfectly constructed dish in such an elegant room. Flavours and textures sing brightly together. Nothing is overwhelmed or superfluous. We used to be huge fans of The Ledbury (RIP 😢) and so glad that one of their brilliant chefs has set up a brilliant, new restaurant. Staff were charming. The timing between courses was perfect. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.
A. R.
Delicious varied tasting menu with lots of different flavours. An interesting Korean western fusion. Excellent attentive service.
N. S.
Beautifully cooked and presented Korean-French fusion blending the familiar with the unexpected. The langoustines, the duck and the choux were personal favourites. The setting is also refined but understated with a friendly service (and beautiful crockery!). Try it while it’s still a bit of a secret, it won’t last very long.

Fantastic meal (pictures of other recent reviews show our food well). Due to South Korean influences in the flavours, I do think this restaurant offers something unique in its price / quality bracket in London. Will be back for the new menu in September
N. C.
Absolutely immaculate. Every dish was like a love letter to my heart & stomach. Loved the tranquil setting, calm service and perfectly balanced dishes. - the whole evening was so pure. The pastry is some sort of magic trick. I agree with some of the other comments that I think the portion sizes could be a *smidgen* bigger but don't let that dissuade you from going - perhaps I'm just a greedy pie. But my goodness, I already can't wait to return and can honestly say it's the best meal I've ever had in London.
S. F.
Great food experience! They were super flexible with one of our friends coming later. We will be back!

Excellent restaurant in Bermondsey featuring a tasting menu of European cooking with distinctly Korean-inspired flavors. Brought back fond memories of similar fine dining in Seoul. (Although Sollip itself certainly has a unique menu and atmosphere!) Highlights included the gamtae sandwich, braised short rib, and all the incredible pastry work. Will definitely be back as the seasons change!
S. D.
Technically perfect execution of a novel and innovative menu. Excellent service and lovely wine pairing.
G. W.
Even though the restaurant barely opened up, they have a quality of service that is on par with well established Michelin Star restaurants, perhaps owing in part to the fantastic general manager, Vita, who used to work at the Fat Duck.
The food is fabulous, well thought through and creative - you can see the passion in cooking, but also attention to detail in presentation.
It is only a matter of time for this place to get a Michelin Star.

Daikon tarte tatin (especially the sauce) and the madeleine were some of my favs. Service was good. Would visit again to try out the menu in its new form (tasting). Would really give it more of a 8/10 - didn't blow my mind, but delighted to see fine dining executed by Korean chefs, and believe that they will grow
A. C.
What a great addition to the London Bridge station area. We had a great time, the restaurant is quiet, simple in deco, you'll be here for a culinary experience and definitely get the wine pairing package too.
I. P.
So! The food is gorgeous - it is the perfect combination of unexpected but at the same time welcome tastes and textures - i.e. not in your face type of tastes that make zero sense. I highly recommend (though they change menus by season) the peas dish, the risotto and the fig desert! The feel is extremely homey also which adds extra stars. Final point - the dishes are on the smaller size as you start but as you go on in the menu you leave very satisfied

Newly opened restaurant - great food and really interesting menu. A tiny little spot tucked away from London Bridge, but well worth the trip. Nice aesthetics in the restaurant and lovely staff. My only negative would be the wine list being very expensive, as well as corkage.
H. L.
Sollip is a really special new restaurant: it's hard to find an equivalent in London. Korean food with a French connection in a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere.
I specially recommend the spicy beef tartare (no worries, not THAT spicy) and the creme brulee. Actually, all deserts are mind-blowing.
Highly recommended.
J. s.
Enjoyed the experience, first experience of Korean fine dining, the beer tartar and short rib were particular highlights for us. Service was attentive without being overbearing, appreciated the chef taking time to chat with us.

Phenomenal restaurant - refined french technique with korean flavors -hard to define but so fresh and creative. Recommend the tasting menu & wine pairing - Michelin star is well-earned!!! -

Our meal at Sollip was absolutely exceptional, from start to finish - we enjoyed flavours we'd never tasted before and combinations of ingredients that were a real delight. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgable and made the entire dining experience a memorable one. I love how they asked which our favourite course was - because in all honestly, I couldn't answer! The wine pairing was also first-class. I'd recommend Sollip to anyone and everyone who appreciates good quality ingredients, fantastic cooking and attentive, friendly and down-to-earth service.
