Food was fine but the let down thing was the behavior of the waiters/waitresses. I mean why do they need to push their customers over and over again for taking a bottle of water exactly like how people sell water bottles back on the streets of Dhaka city? A very cheap manoeuvre for some extra profit but it's ruining the image of the restaurant badly. Requesting owners to look into this issue.

I have worked in the restaurant chain before as a chef. We always had 5* food hygiene ratings. I walked past this restaurant and I saw the 5* logo on the window plus I was very hungry and I popped in for lunch. I have never experienced this type of food before. The taste of the food was delicious, amazing, 5* to me. It wasn't planned to go there, that was just a random visit. The only issue was the toilet area to me. That wasn't the cleanest. Definitely go back if I visit London again.🙂

Not as i heard about this restaurant. Bengali people doing business with bengali food. Food items are not bad, its ok. Customer service are not much high quality, but helpful. Front kitchen is very hot and small, sometimes they kept open the door and smoke enter to the restaurant easily. Not that much comfortable sitting place. But allover i can say they should improve their dine in service.

Great and affordable Bangladeshi foods. They have a buffet offer for around GBP 10 which offers a lot of deshi dishes (price is correct as of March 2022). But I found the hygiene to be poor overall at this restaurant, especially the toilets are not very clean.

The food is really nice - I go for take away samosa chaat. But the service is sooo slow! There's a big queue on the street and the guys are chatting away to each other and just taking their time with everything. It'd make such a positive difference if they sped up a little and didn't make their customers stand waiting on the street for so long.

Oh my god... This restaurant is amazing. Its such good value for money. Only £10 and you can eat so many tasty curries. Every curry was absolutely delicious. It is authentic Bangladeshi food and it is obvious because mainly Bangladeshi people eat there. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. The owner and staff were so kind too. The Samosa Chaat here, is so tasty! I often come to get an after work treat, and it always fills me up and satisfies me. The flavours are just so mouth watering and fresh. It goes down a treat with a nice cold mango basil seed drink :) Very reasonably priced and the customer service is excellent, they always make their customers feel cared for. Whenever I pass by with friends or family, I make them try it and no one has ever been disappointed!

A good bangladesi restaurant. They have a buffet service for lunch time. Rice and different types of curries. The buffet items are in the middle of the restaurant. You can buy other items not included in the buffet price. They also have two kiosk windows on the outer wall of the shop for people wanting to buy samosas, pakoras and some rolls. They make fresh jalebi which is sweet and crispy. You don't have to enter the shop to buy these.

I recently held a party for my 4 years old daughter for lunch time and the service we had it was excellent ! Food all were freshly cooked and varieties options. The table setting to the service for around 40 people were all on point. Very impressed with the quality of service and friendly staff. Staffs were well organized as well trained . Went to a small party around 40 people on a Christmas Day lunch. Service was excellent so as food . Many freshly cooked meal along with dessert. The party setting were well organized. I would definitely recommend shonargaw for small events or get together. Staffs are friendly too

Surprisingly good service for a Whitechapel restaurant where you expect to eat quickly and go. The buffet was nice and have some novel dishes you'd only expect to eat at home like Mackerel satni and a fish curry or two! A nice respite from the chaos of Whitechapel market. They need to switch the AC on and make sure their desserts don't look and tasted like they're straight out of the freezer (even if they are).

Liked this new system, avoids rushing to the casseroles by everyone at the same time! Food is just the same, nothing special, run of the mill. I liked their old premise, much bigger and this one is really congested. Chairs and tabels set up to max given the available space. Food is not very quickly replenished in the buffet once finished, needed to ask several times. Service was ok!

Food 🍲 is really nice but service is very poor. We went a big group to eat there. We didn't find enough glasses on the table. I asked the waiter to get me a glass. He went upstairs, came back and kept chatting with other staffs, as if he completly forgot me, but surprisingly I found he was just ignoring me. I called him again but he didn't come. So I had to go to till to get a glass and someone managed a glass from another table. If any guest comes on that table, they won't find glass there now.
