We love the food here and keep returning. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. We’ve tried a few of the pastas and starters and they are all delicious, it just makes us excited to go back. The restaurant itself is really nice to sit in as well as some seating on the street which has a great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back

Stef's is a friendly place. All of the staff were personable, kind, and funny. It makes you feel that you are a part of a much smaller community, rather than in central London. The food - pasta in our case - was exceptional. We went with the Tagliatelle alla Puccini and the Paccheri alla Calabrese, and they were two of the best pastas we have ever had (including our trips to Italy). As a bonus we also sat at a table outside which has a direct view of the kitchen / pizza oven. It was interesting to watch the pizzas be made.

Atmosphere: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 What can I say... the food is fabulous, the staff are especially attentive, and the overall experience was incredible! A buzzing intimate venue, with such a great feeling of belonging. Usually I'd pay up to £100 going out for a meal for 2, but at Oregano, I pay less than half of that, and for food and drink more than twice the quality of other nearby restaurants... a true hidden gem!

Food was okay. The risotto was undercooked, and chewy,, the shrimp was not fresh(the shells were black) calamari was overcooked. Seasoning was good. Maybe try the pizza?

Stef's is a fantastic spot for a great bottomless brunch! One of those places where you can eat a lot (for real!) and have bottles of prosecco left on your table. When I went with my buddies, the staff was quite accommodating and friendly. Everything was well worth the money, and we were pleased to remain a bit longer than the allotted 1,5 hours to enjoy it a bit more. The vibe was just right and we'll go for another one without a doubt! :) .....ah they do a great cocktail with limoncello 😍

The food is delicious and the prices are very affordable. Me and two friends were here, we had two starters, three main course, three desserts, a bottle of wine and an orange juice. Total was £119 and service charge was included. I'm definitely coming back here.

Amazing Italian restaurant. Starters and mains were really delicious, definitely not tiny portions as most other restaurants in London but quite big and tasty. Everything was superb. Deserts really good as well. They accept reservations as well as walk-ins. Fast service and really helpful.

Exceptional and personal service, went with my wife and three year old on a Sunday when they opened (5pm), our daughter enjoying the experience is always our first priority as it allows us to enjoy our food, giving her a guide of the pizza oven, the chef playing games with her and the owner producing a lolly pop after a magic trick, this was achieved! The food was perfect for our tastes, we had garlic bread plus prawns with garlic and chillie for starters which we enjoyed soo much that we ordered the prawns as a main course on top of risotto , they made a kids meal of pasta for our little one which she loved. Our daughter and us can't wait to return.

I came here recently and was blown away! The best tuna steak I’ve ever eaten, I then came back the following week and had breaded chicken with tomato pasta and that was also the best one I had ever eaten! Excellent food, delightful service. They obviously care a great deal about the food they serve and are very accommodating of dietary restrictions. I just asked for a vegetarian pasta and left it with them, and the end result was amazing. The staff was super fun and friendly. We felt like regulars even though it was our first time there! Cute Italian restaurant located in the heart of Angel. Our waiter was really funny and helpful but it took quite a bit for the two pizzas we ordered. Waiting time aside the food was not bad at all from an Italian perspective. The price was moderate as well.

This Italian restaurant is the best Italian I have ever been too (and I eat out alot). The food is amazing, I know that if I want to try something new that it will taste good. And the wine is soooo good. For 2 years I have been coming here, the staff are lovely, the food is quick and amazing (try the spaghetti bolognese). Came for bottomless pizza and prosecco and it was very good. The service was really good, food and rink comes quickly and replaced quickly. They gave us extra bottles just before our time ran out so we could get the most from our session and they deal with drunk customers very well, being light hearted and well mannered. Very impressed. Awesome place. Had scallops wrapped in bacon as starter which was a tad salty for my taste but still very tasty. Also had calamari which were one of the best I had in years. The pizza tasted like proper Italian pizza and was perfect baked. Service was also really good eventhough the restaurant was almost full and a lot of deliveroo guys coming and going. I had been going to Stef's original restaurant on Berners street since I was a child, and was always my favourite restaurant. Now that Stef has moved that sentiment has not changed. As far as I am concerned this is the best Italian restaurant available in the UK.

Went here for Valentines Day 2014. I knew they were renowned for tasty set menus which aren't over priced and they didn't fail to deliver. The food was delicious and very authentic which made a nice change to the big chains commonly found everywhere. This is a well run family restaurant who make you feel instantly welcome and serve great home made Italian food. Was planning to go Today but they're closed on Sunday's. It's not a franchise so I guess I can't complain. Highly recommended!!

Eat here frequently, it's great homely italian food and even better service. Me and my husband have our favourite dishes. His is the spaghetti bolognese or lasagne and mine is their amazing quarto pizza. I have never had a problem with their deliveries. Also reason I'm writing is that I went to order takeaway through Deliveroo and found that the Calzone was not on the online menu. Called the restaurant, the lovely man who answered was hilarious and agreed that not having calzone on the online menu was disastrous and had to be sorted so I could be happy. I ordered a random meal with the same price and he went out of his way to ensure the calzone was delivered with a delicious free salad on the side. Excellent service and fun and friendly staff. Delivery when you have a craving is good, but I do think it's better to go there as it's a lovely restaurant.

A traditional Italian restaurant tucked just behind Oxford Street, near Soho. Food: 4/5. The lasagna is probably one of the best home-made ones in Central London. However, the pizza was bland and slightly disappointing. Price: 5/5. Very fairly priced considering the quality and the location. On par with Pizza Express and Zizzi's prices. Restaurant: 4/5. Service was nice and polite, could have been a bit faster. Overall atmosphere was very good and pleasant to dine in.

Great staff, atmosphere and food! You have to try the fry pizza with Nutella! Amazing! It seems to be in a trattoria Italiana as soon as you pass the door and the staff is the best. Very big size pizza you will never end your dinner hungry. And is Not expensive at all for the high quality ! With only 9/10 pound you can have a nice pizza and drinks and the food worth all the money!

When I saw the size and quality of the pizza, I wished I'd ordered one, but the porcini risotto was still good, and they had chinotto. It was a slow day for them so we could hear the music they were playing which was pretty dire, the sort of stuff put over sad scenes in daytime soap operas. Service was fine, but they put a service charge on so all the same if it wasn't.

It's very loud in this small little place, be sure to make a reservation! The food is absolutely delicious and the service really impressive! The waiter was funny, friendly and gave great food and drink recommendations! The location is a bit out the way, but what I found the most odd is the cross branding. They are called Oregano and Stef's Italian simultaneously due to some kind of merger. I don't think they've decided who they want to be, but whoever it is - I like it! I'd say a great place for friends or groups, perhaps a bit loud for a romantic setting but it might just have been because of some loud groups on our visit. A must-try in Angel!

Stef's is one of my favourite go to restaurants. It really is unlimited presecco on their unlimited offer for £25. I've been three times and the only complaint I could possibly have is that on the most recent time I went it took a while for the food to come, but there was literally no free seat in the house. A 10% service charge is added to your bill. American Express is not accepted.

I’m very picky with food in general but this little restaurant has become a favourite for date nights. Their sea food pasta is AMAZING! This is coming from someone who is not a fan of Sea food, I find myself stealing food from my fiancé’s plate because it really is delicious. I ordered the salmon meal, both salmon dishes are really nice and good portions. Spaghetti Bolognese the traditional one is also really nice. However out of all the dishes I love the sea food pasta the best! Lovely waiters and most days we go without a booking and get seated quite quickly. Definitely a place to go for good quality food, great portion sizes and delicious. 👍🏽

Tucked away off Upper St this italian is well worth the mini detour. I had the veal with mushrooms (which arrived with a generous veg side) and my friend had the pasta with spicy sausage. Both dishes were well executed and delicious ...I only wish the garlic in the veal had been advertised as I realised too late and suffered for the 2-3hrs immediately following the meal. That said, I would return because the food quality was superior and the dishes not just run of the mill. The waiters are good humoured italian jokesters and will not hesitate to make fun of you (we were told off for sitting in the wrong place and talking too much, - which was a bit rich ;-) Good selection of wine by the glass too.

Look no further for excellent pizza. As someone who has spent years living in Italy, eating pizza anywhere outside Italy is generally a painful test in mediocrity. But Pizzeria Oregano changed my mind completely about eating pizza in London. A happy diversion from the pizza changes of horrid thawed out frozen pastries, this is a freshly made pizza crust with toppings that are not too much nor too little. Fresh mozzarella and parmesan, you will think you are back eating pizza in Pisa.

Their eponymous Pizza Oregano (very thin crust with shredded bocconcini and large shavings of parmesan) is my favourite pizza in London. For that matter, I find their pizza bread with parmesan (starter) is better than almost everyone else’s pizza. And if you’re accustomed to eating panna cotta which are little more than flavoured gelatine, THIS is what it’s meant to be like: eating cooked cream (topped with a tart couli). Very tasty cream in their Tiramisu, too. It's a good thing I'm suspicious of reviewers who don't actually review the food.

We have been here for a couple of times now and we loved the place and food on both visits. Clean, lovely atmosphere, dog friendly and good value for the food (unlike some Italian restaurants close by). Happy staff even when super busy and food on point for all 10 of us (from both of your visits), the pizza is made inside a stone oven which I think is the best on upper street in our opinion. You have to know that the menu is cheaper then! The restaurant is a bit outside of the lively, bustling city ... about 20 minutes by subway located from the center. When we went in at 6 p.m. all seats were empty and we thought it would be a failure. However, the location filled up pretty quickly over time, until all the seats were completely occupied and some guests who had not booked beforehand had to leave immediately. It's very cozy there, I sat so that I could see the pizza oven ... the cook had his hands full because pizzas acken were also baked outside the house and looked super delicious. We each had a 3 course menu with squid rings, mozzarella cheese, spaghetti with shrimp and crab, pork tenderloin with mushrooms and beans, as well as tiramisu and creme brulé. Plus half a bottle of wine each 🍷 at an unbeatable price of € 50 for both of us! The food, which was very tastefully prepared, and the wine were excellent, and the service professional. We felt very comfortable there. It was a super nice evening that we think back fondly. If we are in London again, this is our first address for a good dinner in a nice atmosphere. Es ist sehr gemütlich dort, ich saß so, dass ich den Pizzaofen sehen konnte... der Koch hatte alle Hände voll zu tun, weil auch außer Haus Pizzen 🍕 gebacken wurden und Mega lecker aussahen. Wir hatten jede ein 3 Gänge Menü mit Tintenfischringen, Mozzarellakäse, Spaghetti mit Shrimps und Krabben, Schweinefilet mit Pilzen und Bohnen, sowie Tiramisu und Creme Brulé. Dazu jeder eine halbe Flasche Wein 🍷 zu einem unschlagbar günstigen Preis von 50€ für uns Beide! Das Essen, das sehr geschmackvoll angerichtet wurde und der Wein waren hervorragend, die Bedienung professionell. Wir haben uns dort rundum wohl gefühlt. Es war ein super schöner Abend, an den wir noch gern zurück denken. Wenn wir wieder in London sind, ist dies unsere erste Adresse für ein gutes Abendessen in netter Atmosphäre.
