Reviews of Tas Restaurant Borough
I. a. (. G.
From the outside didn’t look that impressive, but when you go inside it’s huge and they have live music, which makes it the perfect place to entertain people and hangout after a long day at the office.
The staff were friendly and genuine, which allowed us to relax and feel comfortable.
A variety of Turkish dishes on the menu with a lot to choose from if you’re vegetarian, but most of it tasted a bit bland.
N.
We got a take away and it was ok. Nothing was amazing but nothing was bad. Not worth the price we paid. The hummus had a weird texture. It felt like toothpaste. Very strange. I liked the boerek.
B. P.
The service is always good and the food delicious arrives quickly every time. They sometimes have a musician too (only seen him when I've visited Friday nights) and that is a fun touch. Do not visit without ordering the Kunfafa for dessert :-)
A. U.
The starters were ok. I found the complimentary yoghurt dip more flavourful than the hummus, although the bread was nice, warm and fresh. We enjoyed the mains and the accompanying chilli sauce, a more varied salad would've been nice. Customer service was A1.

I have been to Tas quite a few times, sometimes for lunch and a couple of times for dinner. We came Thursday evening and it really was fantastic, they fitted us in even though it was packed due to Christmas parties etc and no where could sit us for food (tried several pubs in London). They had a man on the guitar and the place was packed. Yet they served us drinks and menu promptly, gave us ample time to look though the menu, and never rushed us. We chose the vegetarian mezze which had a selection of hot and cold dishes with bread and we ordered an extra side of hot aubergine. The food was beautiful. Such wonderful flavours, so fresh, always service with smile no matter how busy they were. Can't wait to come back with my husband as he would love it
C.
I love this restaurant. We went for the first time with my husband and our experience was great. We really enjoyed eating all the food we ordered. Everything that came to our table was very fresh and flavoursome. The food cooked here has its own style and presented very professionally. We would definitely visit again when next in the area. The prices are great, would recommend a visit here. We prefer it to any other Turkish restaurant you could think of. Thank you so much for the fabulous food.
C. F.
The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is because of the customer service received. The Hummus we ordered was tasteless and very running. The cous cous served with my mixed grill was stone cold, and when heated up it in the microwave was like rubber. My friend ordered the lamb casserole about half of the portion was packed out with big chunks bread. They did take off the service charge and the price of a mushroom dish...So disappointing as the place looks lovely, but their chefs left the place down
G. K.
The food tasted good however portions were tinier than tiny. Prices were expensive but I do understand as it is in London Bridge. But typically when you go to a Turkish restaurant you do expect some meze, salad and bread which we had nothing given here. I have eaten at tas a few times for lunch which is not too bad but the dinner needs looking into.
R. R.
The staff were welcoming; nice décor and prompt service. The menu offered a mixed meze to start. The dishes were delicious and we were offered a top up (not needed). We had a choice of several mains and although the menu wasn't extensive we were all able to choose something suitable. On the whole very nice, but I have been to better Turkish restaurants. The musician was brilliant!
L. W.
The vegetarian mousakka is excellent ! The service is excellent ! A real diamond service ! Thanks guys

Heres a great little place to visit just a stone throw between London Bridge and Borough Station, surrounded by other great eateries and various shop, pubs, clubs and banks. You can access it quite easily by public transport, bus, tube or whilst out on your usual walkabout. There is offroad parking nearby but remember it's in the congestion charge area when driving. This is a quaint place for lunch or an afternoon meal with friends, family, groups or solo. The decor is comfy, clean and pleasing, prices are great for very tasty selections of different Turkish delights. Perfect for vegetarians, vegans or anyone whom enjoys a good healthy meal on the go for a pretty neat price without going overboard. The waitress Sema was very friendly, bubbly and fun to be around. Thank you for a great service which was fast, polite and gave me a good feel for the customer care. The food selection was fantastic. I was given so many different options I literally could have tried them all and still walk out having kept within my planned budget. I will definitely be coming back as one of my new found favourites.
L. H.
Great food..mezze was very tasty and hearty, I couldn't eat all of it. There was also a wide selection of other food on the menu. Decor was very tasteful and the staff were fantastic. Well recommended.
F. A.
Not amazing. Service is good and menu is also good in terms of variety. Ambience is good too however, the food is not as delicious as other Turkish places have. It just lacks that extra bit of taste which usual Turkish grills have. Also on the menu there is no big platter for 4 to 5 people to share which proves to be good value for money; here people will be paying £20 to £22 per person where as at the traditional Turkish grill 5 people will probably £55 in total. But hey it's central London I guess the menu is designed in a way that you pay that premium. Hence, I give it 3 stars.
K. R.
A pleasant lunch. Salmon with vegetables was exceptional. Their own brand chilli and garlic sauce was superb. Recommended.
S. J.
Price is on a higher side but the quality of food especially desserts was amazing!
Baklawa was mouth melting soft and not very sweet!
Recommend for good Turkish dinner
T. C.
Excellent restaurant. I eat here often. The whole menu is delicious especially the artichoke starter. Lovely staff.
C.
So good restaurant with everything you want
Come to join them!!!
Good staff and so good food!!!!
K. S.
The place is wonderful. I have travelled from New York US and had delicious food
Thanks will come back definitely this year
T. S.
The food was fresh and good. The service was slightly inattentive and cumbersome, but the food made it for it, was fresh and tasty. Not mind blowing but an overall good experience.
A.
The mixed grill was fantastic and the manager was so kind. Definitely visit the restaurant again.
G. C.
The food is Turkish and really good but they still do not cater for gluten-free diets. Pity, it would take so little effort
M. S.
Great quick menu. Noticed prices were higher than others in the chain but this could be location based.
j. n.
Ok food, expensive compared to other places and took several requests in a quite time for orders to be placed
A. M. H.
Meh. Good service. Poor wine list. Mediocre food. Nothing bad but nowhere near as good as what you can easily find in the US.
A. M.
Amazing food! Lovely staff! 100% recommended
s.
Amazing food and service. The staff was so amazing and friendly! Packed our leftovers with no problem, will definitely come here again. 😄
D.
It was my son birthday party tonight. The service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to visit for turkish menu.
The manager was very good and professional.
ö. S.
I got whole cake for my girlfriend birthday
The cake is amazing
D. C.
Delicious good in relaxed environment. Friendly staff and reasonable prices
J. P.
Great food and excellent quality and value.
A. B.
Nice and clean facilities. Oh, and the food was great. When you want a break from pub food during your visit. This is a great option. The food wasn't overly spicy, but has ample flavor. Quick on the bread refills, and the offering of the powdered sugar coated, Turkish candy, while walking out the door, was the perfect finish to my meal, and all the dessert that I needed. Really nice people, and very good food.
A. C. M.
Very nice, genuinely Turkish restaurant. Busy environment, but very familiar. Some of the waiters were a bit rough, but they really had a lot of work and the food came very quickly and was delicious. The wine was low quality. They really have a wide menu to choose from and a many vegan options
E. K.
Great ethnic food and live music. Food served very quickly.. might be a pro for some but a con for me or if you like to digest between courses. Definitely worthwhile if you like Turkish/Lebanese cuisine though. The set menu is great value for money especially for the location.
K. O.
Always a good standard of service and quality of food!! Plan B becoming A..
B. H.
Ate here last week and the service and food was wonderful. The waiting staff were super polite and attentive. We had the moussaka and pirasali and both were delicious. Would definitely return. Only downside was that the recommended house white wasn't great but you cant have it all! I'll order a different wine next time.
A. C.
The service was very good, polite people, many of them, very willing to make you enjoy your meal there.
The food was very good and authentic, very good meat, some of the best bakhllava I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve lived in Balkan and been to Turkey many times).
At last but not least they had extended the Eat out to help out throughout September.
To summarise: a great place!
M. A.
The Iskander dish and the black berry was really of an unending delight as well as the lentil soup
R. F.
You wouldn't think that these small seats were comfortable, but they are perfect. Nice and clean facilities. Oh, and the food was great. When you want a break from pub food during your visit. This is a great option. The food wasn't overly spicy, but has ample flavor. Quick on the bread refills, and the offering of the powdered sugar coated,
J.
I’d definitely return to this place. The live music and the staff were a pleasure even before the food arrived. The atmosphere was chilled and pretty nice and quiet. Starters were great and we went for the charcoal grill selections. Wine and desserts also delicious.
D. S.
This is my 4th visit to Tas and it never disappoints.
The food is always fresh, seasoned to perfection. The portion size is plentiful without making you fall into a food coma at the end. You just leave very satisfied.
The staff are always warm and welcoming and its always a pleasure to dine here.
F. B.
We decided on this Turkish restaurant near London Bridge as something a little different to our norm and we were delighted that we did. The food was delicious and the setting had a nice feel without being stuffy. The service was relaxed and welcoming. We will be back!
S. R.
Good food and good kunefe
C. H.
An excellent meal! I really enjoyed eating here with my family. The food was superb and the service and entertainment really enhanced my experience. Would definitely visit again.
A. E.
Top notch service - they can't do enough for you but they're very friendly and relaxed with it. The food is absolutely delicious, well presented and plenty on the menu to choose from. The décor is very smart and looks like fine Turkish dining, no question. Also had unobtrusive live music while we were there and someone celebrating their birthday was made a fuss of with 'Happy birthday' being played and a little cake with a sparkler brought out. I mean just faultless.
M. M.
I had a really delightful meal at TAS today. The customer service was very friendly, attentive, just perfect. But the vegetable stew with couscous and yoghurt was something else, the taste, the texture and presentation, it was heavenly. Thank you for sharing a beautiful, Turkish cuisine with us.
F. Ç.
Great food in a lovely ambience with live music :) and traditional turkish coffee .. highly recommended in London bridge..
K. D. S.
Excellent main courses. Really tasty, tender meat. For a white table cloth restaurant & the quality of the food, the pricing is very reasonable. Great ambience. There is a huge bowl of complimentary Turkish delight at the reception desk, which melts in the mouth. All in all Tas is a great taste of Turkey.
L. D.
Been going to this restaurant for years. Service is always good and food quality is consistent. Great Borek and enjoy the mucvar too. We love picking a few hot and cold mezze dishes whilst enjoying our wine. A safe choice for a chilled evening with friends.
p.
Had a really good time at Tas. The food was lovely. We went for the £19.95 menu which includes 2 starters, a mains and a drink. Portion sizes were good and you also have 2 rounds of bread. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had live Turkish music when we were there too which added to the occasion. Do be mindful that a 12% discretionary service charge is added to your bill.
M. W.
The okra casserole from here is one of my absolute favourite things to eat at lunch time for work! Thanks for making it so well. And the restaurants are delicious too, one of my favourite restaurants in London by far. Will come back as soon as restaurants are open again, keep up the good work guys
C. T.
Excellent friendly service and a great selection of delicious food. Went for lunch with my daughter in law and baby in a pram. The staff were very helpful and we had a delicious lunch of a mixture of different dishes. All good.
W. G.
Delicious, always fresh and home made food. Very friendly service. I go there regularly ☺️
J. P.
I've been to TAS last week and i only have positive things to say. The food was excellent, nice quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices and nice ambience. The food here is fantastic. Popped in for a quick lunch and the staff were spot on with no attemtps made to get me to order anything other than what i wanted. what a refreshing change. Would gladly go again
G. F.
Fabulous Turkish restaurant. I visited dozens of times over many years and was always very satisfied with food, drink and service. Excellent meals, reasonably priced and accompanied by very good service; and all this in an environment amenable to business as well as private occasions. There is nothing to be wished for (I write this for the Borough Branch).
C. M.
Ate here on a busy Saturday night as everywhere else in the area was full. What a pleasant surprise. I'm not an expert on Turkish cusine but I loved everything that was served. Excellent humus, full flavoured lamb, delicious stuffed filo pastry. All good quality.
Service was on the slow side (buy friendly) doesn't normally bother me as I like to take my time... Just don't like sitting without a drink!
One last think.. Turkish delight. Hate the stuff. But theirs was amazing. I'm now converted!
M. C.
The best famous desert from turkey which is Kunefe at Tas restaurant borough high street
W. S.
Dined here Friday night on a whim. We were seated immediately, service was very friendly and love that the doors open to the street - has a very nice tropical/Mediterranean feel. The food was absolutely delicious, well presented and service was quicker than we were expecting. Considering I've regarded this as 'the best Turkish restaurant in London', I typically hold that when it comes to the food but the service, atmosphere and food quality are top notch. I had the lamb shank and my lovely lady had a chicken dish she could barely finish but we were both more than satisfied. We had a mushroom-based starter and loved that too along with two glasses of wine. Last but not least was the bill, at which we were both extremely impressed. This type of place in central London would easily be double this for what we had. This is truly the best Turkish restaurant in London.
D. G.
The two girls that served us were extremely nice, attentive and patient.
The portions were on the smaller side, but everything was very tasty and seemed fresh.
Definitely recommended!
L. O.
Looking for a restaurant in the area on Saturday Evening and found Tas by luck. We were able to get a table and had a superb meal. We tried the group meal of a multi dish meze and individual main courses. Having lived for years in the Middle East, this was a meal worthy of the many meals enjoyed while living in the area. Every dish beautifully done and service perfect. A final note, if you have never tried Kunefe, try it. It is a wonderful dessert to finish a meal with a coffee.
M. L.
If you are in and out of Borough Market and fancy an Anatolian experience this place is the kebab prima donna.. it’s a restaurant end of! Fabulous food.. great experience! Being from West London.. quality comparative to Lara in Chiswick, restaurant space modern. #Turkish #Anatolian #foodie
J. M.
My exposure to Turkish Cuisine was limited as I am a vegetarian. The restaurant is well laid out, roomy and light, ambience very good and the staff very attentive. The restaurant also caters for veggies and the choice was good. For starters I had falafel and they were absolutely divine. For my main course I had a broccoli with mushroom's hulumi cheese, and a medley of vegetables in a creamy sauce. Tas Turkish Restaurant is worth a visit. They also cater for non vegetarians and the menu looked very appetizing.
A. N.
The food is delicious although overpriced for what you get. The lamb portions in our favourite dish has gradually shrinked into a tiny dollop in the middle! The waiters could be attentive as we were kept sitting forever until we had to call them to our table.
Y. S.
Was really nice and staff super friendly and informative
S. H.
Group meal for a colleague who was leaving. Food was excellent, as was the service. The mixed grill is great if you're a meat eater. My vegetarian colleagues tell me that their meals were also seriously good.
F. S.
Fantastic service, polite staff, excellent atmosphere and scrumptious food at a very affordable price. Will definitely recommend.
J. D.
I really like this restaurant despite its chequered past. It has an interesting menu and nice touches like decent napkins and cuttlery. But for me the master stroke is the guitarist competently playing a varied repertoire. Also it's very reasonably priced.
J. L.
Really nice food and 50% off for the last hour, meaning you get a good meal for a fantastic price. Not the best customer service though.
M. S.
Food is quite good. Service has improved over the years, which is definitely very nice. The bread and the mounted yogurt in the beginning is lovely. The kebabs are succulent, and the chilli sauce adds a lot of taste to your main course.
S. B.
Great food and great service. Add it to your list of good but inexpensive places to dine and come out feeling happy. Good for meeting old friends and budget business lunches - your guest won't be dissapointed and it shows you don't have to spend huge amounts to enjoy a good business lunch.
A. W.
Nice atmosfere. Good food. The quality it s good the price is okay. There is a great balance between quality and price. Service was very slow. But I can suggest this restaurant if you want to eat good food in a great atmosfere.
C. C.
I love this place. Great Turkish hot and cold food, super friendly staff, lots of seating areas and options, set menus as well as alacarte. Prices are inexpensive to moderate depending on selection.
The bathrooms are always clean and well maintained, and the location is fantastic - near public transportation and Borough market.
M. A.
Service was quick, food presentation and taste was good too. The soft drinks had some intriguing options, but I went for the ginger beer, wished I'd gone for the beetroot version :(
G. B.
Have eaten there a few times and just called in for a takeaway which was prepared very quickly. Great food and friendly place everytime.
N.
Had the chicken wrap was a bit dry and bland for my liking but the staff were very nice and helpful.
A good option for some quick halal food in the area
O. T.
Very high quality restaurant with style. Food is excellent and choice is very diverse. Staff are courteous and polite. A service charge is applied on top of the listed price of about 15 percent.
M.
Speedy and friendly service , very warm very friendly. And the food is everything I hoped for and more , good selection on the menu , incredible foods packed with flavour and cooked to perfection.
R. R.
Good cafe with variety of breakfast options and friendly staff. Service was quick and good
D. P.
Really great food, excellent service. Definitely visit again..!
B. D.
Last at Tas maybe ten years ago. And, finding ourselves in Borough (London Bridge) we sought it out last night, driven by memories!
Our memories did not let us down!
No expert in Anatolian Cuisine I nonetheless love eating good food, well prepared and served well!
It was delicious! We'll be back!
The price? About £50 for two, including drinks and "service charge" - a maneuver in the industry which we always regret: without it our tip would have been greater than the charge, to reflect the service given).
Leaving that one niggle aside we had a great meal great value and a lovely end to a lovely day!
I recommend Tas. It does what it does very well. And has done so for as long as we've known of it.
And I beg them to abandon the "service charge" - if it costs that much to put the food in front of me the menu price should cover it. If the staff need it to make a living the management should pay them properly.
If it's a trick to make menu prices appear lower than the table price (or the prices of the competition) it is on the spectrum of wilful theft.
The industry (which I have worked in and loved) needs to address this bit of dishonesty!
R. T.
Very nice food, good price and nice staff
N. M.
Really amazing food and the waiters and waitresses are really lovely people! There is a really big family vibe to this restaurant and it comes out in the flavour of the place. Also if your accessible this place is not too bad but it is quite difficult to get to the loo - yes there is a disabled loo here!!
A. Y.
I came here one rainy night with a friend on her suggestion as she had tried their sister restaurant "ev" in Southwark. We ordered 2 mains - lamb with smoked aubergine pureed with cream and another calamari dish which came with a tomato-based sauce. Their food is well-seasoned and delicious. After being seated, you will be served some lovely bread which comes with a wonderful dipping sauce. I wouldn't be surprised if you finish it off before your orders arrive. I certainly enjoyed my meal there. The only downside was that it took a bit of effort to get some service especially during rush hour (dinner time). Lovely food and definitely worth a try! Prices: 10-20 per main dish
M. S.
We only got a few Mezzes. The fried aubergine was good apart from that the rest was pretty average. Wouldn't necessarily rush back. Food and service was just okay.
R. K.
Nice ambience and attentive staff. Guitarist was very entertaining. I was a bit disappointed in my food. Lamb stew was a served with much of the rendered fat as the gravy. A bit pricey for what it ultimately was.
H. D.
May sound like a traditional Turkish restaurant but not a place to go if you are Turkish. Do not serve white cheese separately, you have to have it with a salad which is absurd. Food was alright but a bit expensive compared to others we have been in.
İ. K. D.
Excellent food , perfect service. Do you want to have your meal with people smiling at you all the time this is the place you are looking for. You need something raise your head one of the waiters will show up just next you. Ozgu especially a big thank you to you.
M. S.
The interior is rather nice, the music seems authentic although slightly fusion. The food is cheap but good. It is not haut cuisine but an interesting change from my usual Italian and French restaurant.
C.
Not bad food. The portion size was small so I left a little hungry and the service was a bit slow even though it was not that busy. But the food was nice.
H. Y.
We popped in off chance and were not disappointed. Fantastic service and great selection of authentic Turkish food presented very tastefully. Highly recommended!
G. W.
Part of a chain spread across London. Extensive menu including meze and larger meals - dishes to suit vegetarians and meat lovers alike. Swordfish in particular was phenomenal. Think I prefer this branch to the one on The Cut as the food was just better somehow. The choice of music (sounded like club music), however, made for a somewhat dissonant experience.
A. C.
Really really lovely tasty food and good service. However, a bit cool in there, a miscalculated bill and service charge of 12.5% added to bill. A bit cheeky and took the shine off an otherwise really nice evening
s. n.
I love Tas at London Bridge. Been going there for years. Catered our wedding and lots of family get together. Healthy food and lovely staff
I. F.
Not bad, bit expensive for what it is. Service and atmosphere was good.
R. A.
Staff friendly, hot food is good, especially the meatballs
I. C.
Good quality food, good service. Slightly expensive given the portion sizes aren’t substantial, plus they forgot to give us cous cous with our mains!!
S. M.
Love this place! Great food, lovely atmosphere.
S. X.
Super nice Turkish, very authentic! The same as what we had in Turkey. Great price good food!
S. D.
This place was good, but not amazing. We were a large group and were offered a set menu comprised of small plates (dips, bread, houmous) and one main. Whilst the dips were good, the main was just a little bland and the service a little slow. This place has some really good reviews, so it would be interesting to try the food off the main menu.
L. L.
The service wasn’t great, very slow, had bread and olives, no drink order taken, waited ages for someone to come back over, starters turned up still no drinks. The food was pretty good the staff were polite but I expect better service.
I. C.
The stuff was great, very patient and responsive. The food very good. We order some Mediterranean food. Peaceful place. I recommend.
G. M.
Pricey Christmas menu but excellent food. House wine reasonable. Great for vegetarians and vegans. Go when it's not Christmas time and save yourself lots of money.
J. S.
I have been going here for many years, great food, good prices and a lovely atmosphere, attentive but not intrusive staff, thoroughly recommend this restaurant
M. M.
Great food at a reasonable price. Staff are professional. House red wine is Great... just needs to breathe before consumption. I would recommend this place to anyone near London Bridge.
J. P.
Marvellous restaurant. Excellent service and delicious food. Friendly atmosphere.
A. I.
Delicious food with good selection of meat and veg dishes. I visit regularly and have yet to be disappointed. Staff friendly and efficient, as always.
C. B.
The food is delicious and the service great. I'll be back again, absolutely recommend.
H. J. S.
A local favourite, Tas has an expansive menu that you'll need a good ten minutes to peruse before deciding what to order. Everything is delicious and authentic. Portions are generously sized and reasonably priced (mains are around £8-13) and there's a good selection of wines. I usually order a prawn dish which comes with 3 times as many prawns as I'd expect in a dish anywhere else.
I've had romantic dinners, family gatherings and quick-bite-after-work catch ups in Tas and it's well suited to all three.
V. V.
I had a great lunch at London Bridge branch. Delicious vegetarian moussaka. Excellent customer services ! I was recommended by my friend who took me there. I also recommend it !
J. S.
Great food, great vegan options available, and surprisingly low price
I. Y.
Very Lovely food. Tried there mix grill, though the portion was smaller than I anticipated but food was very well cooked and delicious.
Y. N.
The best Turkish kebab that I have ever hd, I ate kuzu shish and it was great. Baklava and ice cream was really tasty. I would defiantly go there again
H. R. (.
Great tasting food. Modern Turkish food with a range of mixed mezes. Very professional staff and a lovely atmosphere for an evening dinner.
K. K.
Excellent Turkish food...amongst the best I have ever eaten on the UK. Efficient service.
A. (.
Always a great place to go; great food and friendly service... they don't shoo you out either! Highly recommended!!
Y. P.
Superb sauces and good grill.
D. B.
It's not often that six of you go to a restaurant and find that every single meal is delicious. The service was exceptional....I cannot rate this place highly enough.
Y. B.
Brilliant restaurant, wonderful food, great staff. Menu has lots of options of starters and mains. Would recommend.
F. Z.
Fantastic Turkish food. Very pleasant decor including white table cloths. Speedy service. Fair, average pricing.
A. T.
Good food and service. They have several restaurants in the city which are all more or less consistent. Liked the live band that was playing.
J. M.
Considering my first take on Turkish delicacy, it is nice to try a different meal rather than the usual British and Indian malarkey. The kalamar (squid) and the borek (filo pastries) are particularly delicious.
H. M.
Their mixed meze is super and will get you going through the day. I once saw Jude Law having his lunch here. The staff and manager could should learn how to smile. They generally look miserable
A. M.
Amazing food, excellent service and super nice personal. Great value for the service and food.
N. M.
Nice food, pleasant environment and very good location.
Menu has lots of options of starters and mains.
I recommend it.
E. N.
Having tried their sister restaurant in Waterloo numerous times, I must admit that this branch gives away far smaller portions. The food is equally good though
S. T.
Service slow after initial welcome, food tasty, good size portions, set menus value for money.
J. L.
Atmosphere good staff, excellent menu's,we had the inclusive with choice of main course, had a mezze then tas lamb shank delicious as was the dessert
N. M.
Great place but mediocre food!
C. M.
Food absolutely delicious, the staff extremely polite and helpful. Highly recommended
J. R.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Good value for money, particularly set meal options.
Y. Z.
Delisus food, good service, very clean placea, a bit more expensive than other Turkish restaurants.
M.
nice turkish restaurant, generous portions including mezzes at fair prices for the area, nice and helpful staff and generally warm atmosphere.
a. b.
In my view the best one of these restaurants. Much nicer setting than the one in The Cut and better than the Pide restaurant. Always great service and sometimes live traditional music.
R. M.
Had not been for years, and stopped in for a latish lunch. Excellent food, and a nice prix fixe menu....just what was needed.
A. R.
The chocolate cake is divine, I still think about it! Subtle live music played in the background. Very classy, would definitely go again.
M. b. t. C.
Fantastic Anatolian menu. Always well prepared. Excellent service. Delicious food. Very authentic.
m. k.
Good service but my mix grill was mainly raw and i didn't get to finish my meal because of that and left the restaurant hungry.
L. C.
Great turkish food especially for lunch. Always busy especially thurs and fri so probably best to book especially for a bigger group. For dinner recommend the lamb shanks and the mixed grill :-)
J. L.
They could accommodate our group of 10 on a busy Friday and made it easier to order with a partially set menu of delicious sharing starters, olives, dips and bread.
S. S.
Not a bad Turkish restaurant. Reasonable prices and the waiters are attentive and polite. Good for an after work dinner with a mate.
V. L.
Absolutely fine for a quick bite and with plentiful portions. Service is a bit brusque but the food is pretty good.
B. A. F.
Food was great the drink was great
D. S.
Lovely place, good service, great food.
M. B.
Great atmosphere in a Saturday, live guitar, good mezes. We had a really good birthday meal.
D. D.
Good value, friendly service, competent and very tasty if not wildly exciting food.
C. R.
We went out for a birthday meal last night and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambiance with live music and excellent service from both our waiters !
T. K.
Great food and service.
R. B.
The food was lovely, wasn't impressed with the customer service nor the size of the place. Feels crowded. ..
S. G.
OK food, not bad at all. Friendly waiting staff. Nice place, nice decor & music.
D. V.
Nice Turkish food, live music, and great staff. The clerk that severed my table recommended the iskender and it was delicious.
S. A.
Very easy restuarant in a good way, good and tasty food,no queues, quick and super nice service...and even live music!
D. S. M.
Great service and delicious Eastern Mediterranean food. They even have live music sometimes, which is a really nice touch.
T. F.
Decent food for high prices. Guess location counts. The service is great.
A. K.
The best foods I ever had and could recommend to anyone who wanted to try turkish foods. Furthermore I saw that friendly and kindly stuff which are managers and others
C. T.
Very nice Turkish restaurant I would highly recommend. Food was lovely and the service was excellent.
J. M.
Amazing place! Great food, friendly staff, warm atmosphere and georgeous live music!! Thank you
M. S.
It's best to call in advance, when it comes to large groups, you may have to wait a little longer for your food to come... Food was nice, I ordered soup of the day..
ö. a.
Set menu from £ 20 Inc. drink good size portion quality of food is not the same what used to be.
A. Z.
Kebabs were great and the music even better though the prices and portion could be more balanced.
E. F.
Absolutely delicious express Turkish lunch. Will definitely return!
S. G.
Very good food. Excellent house wine. I've been a few times. Definitely recommend TAS
O. W.
Nice meal and good for a large group. Took order in advance and lunch service was good....
T. S.
Tasty, affordable Turkish food! Very efficient staff and a wide range of options on the menu.
L. H.
(Think lots of people here are leaving reviews for the Tas Restaurant next door, this is the café!)
Really tasty food, friendly staff, I only ever pop in to grab lunch to take back to my desk but will try to sit and eat in soon.
I usually get one of the little "pizzas" off the top of the counter, and the spinach and cheese pastry thing that comes cut into squares (can't remember the proper name!). Not healthy, but fantastic comfort food. There are much healthier options there, but I just go to get my fatty fix. Yum.
G. F.
Good food, just a little overpriced but very good quality
A. G.
Good service, polite staff, good menu.
B. R.
Good food and nice casual restaurant. Excellent vegetarian options and not expensive. Service is ok - they are rushed off their feet and the waiters are not warm - they are probably being paid minimum wage and it shows because they are giving minimum warmth and charm. There is a live guitarist in the restaurant, so quite noisy unless you ask to sit away from the guitarist, who is doing his best to be as loud and obtrusive as possible in order to stop you from talking with your friends. Don't go if you want to talk with your friends.
M. R.
Chicken was a bit dry, tabuleh too lemony - but the borek was lovely and service good!
S. P.
Many many option and great amount! There are little bits to improve food and environment wise but the live music was definitely a great plus!
A. C.
Lovely atmosphere, staff and food. Portions were fair and prompt. Enjoy
P. H.
Very tasty food, nice decor, & good service. Prices ok.
P. S.
The food is delicious just the portions are a bit minimalist!
S. s.
We just have some lunch with my friends and service was quick and the my mix grill was so tasty.
A. A.
Been a couple of times. Tasty food, nice service and ok prices. But insistence on serving warm Efes lager at silly prices is a shame.
E. M.
Family visit- we urgently needed some good food in a nice restaurant. This is a great discovery, a great place to eat, close to London Bridge! They immediately bring fresh bread and a tasty herb and cheese dip with olives. The wine is good, too, you can order it by the glass, at a reasonable price. We ordered some yummy starters- beef sausages and burek, both came with fresh salad [with pomegranite seeds]. We liked the decor, the service was friendly and efficient. The loos are magnificent! Heavily carved wooden doors, beautiful onyx bowls, flowers! The mousakka had a potato topping that was a little different, but it too was spicy and delicious! We left refreshed and gratified. They even offer a bowl of delicate rosewater-flavoured turkish delight as you leave... We will be back!
P. M.
Food is good but little bit pricey. Service was quite good, restaurant nice
G. B.
Good venue for groups. Food is fine, but not especially anything other than averagely OK.
P. B.
Excellent food and service
N. M.
Nice place to go for lunch, the service is good and the prices not too bad. Recommend trying the mixed meze.
P. B.
Great food and excellent service, plenty of vegan choice.
Ö. A.
A lot of selection of mezes, hot wraps ( kofte, falafel, tuna, artichoke, lamb and chicken) ready meals in lunch boxes and free wifi ,,, this coffee shop is really amazing and also there is a lady who makes different kinds of cakes and cookies:. I recommend for breakfast and lunch. they open 7 am to 6 pm!!!

Both halal

Good Turkish restaurant though value for money honestly sucks a little bit.

P. N.
Friendly service, great food, nice atmosphere, fair price.

Very good meze at a reasonable price - 1.45 per meze for takeaway; I recommend the Kisir and Hummus. Staff could be a bit more friendly, but does the trick for meze near home or office.
M. F.
Wow the food is amazing & you must start with the red lentil soup, it's life changing.
B. M.
The food is totally overrated, but not hopeless if you are just looking for something quick & easy.
