What an amazing experience. I have never been to a Turkish restaurant before and we went here with another couple an two young kids. The staff is amazing. The food was delicious and everything came out hot. I shouldn't have eaten as much as I did but I just couldn't stop. The kids were happy with their kids meals and the staff even brought some pads for them to draw on to keep them entertained. I would highly recommend this place. 10/10, hands down.

Fantastic food with friendly staff. This place was recommended by a friend some time ago. I am so glad that I finally went because the whole experience was amazing. We had a mix of the hummus with lamb bits and calamari for starters and they were delicious and the portions were more than enough for 3 people. We ordered a mixed platter for our main course and again it did not disappoint. Everything was seasoned to perfection and was served piping hot. The lovely staff were all smiling and even though the restaurant was full, they kept everything moving efficiently. We were even treated to our own version of a mocktail, they were more than happy to accommodate us when we asked if one of the ingredients could be changed. I thoroughly recommend visiting. I will definitely be returning soon.

Honestly Can’t stress how great this place really is - from the welcoming people at reception to the decor of the restaurant to the well presented staff (that smile) this place really is a hidden GEM in Stoke Newington. In a area which boasts food places I would highly recommend here for what you spend you get back in a great atmosphere.

The restaurant is beautiful staff lovely The starter was good specially the couscous, their flatbread is delicious. I personally didn't enjoy the meat I found the chicken wings over cooked and dry, kofta was also dry but the lamb pieces was nice. Would definitely go again

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth & enthusiasm by Mustafa & Hassan ( the owner & chief cook.) We live in Devon so had been keenly looking forward to sampling some authentic Turkish dishes. Our food was amazing and the portions were insanely generous. We especially loved the chargrilled onions, the lamb chop in the glorious mixed grill & the chicken wrapped in pitta bread & chargrilled. All marvellous. Go next time you're nearby.

Drunkenly stumbling through Dalston at 10pm. I see a Turkish with an inappropriate name. Testi. Aha I thought. What a joke. Let's try it. I ordered a falafel wrap and my girlfriend ordered an off menu chicken shawarma. With nobody in the restaurant I thought it would be quick but it took ages. 10mins nothing. 20min... I nearly walked out without paying. Then came the waittrress with our takeaway wraps. Two of the longest poles of food I've ever seen. I was famished as I peeled open this glorious specimen. The bread was thick and crispy in places so I imagine it was cooked with meat juice but because I'm a failed vegan I didn't mind. Delicious. The first bite was a glimpse into heaven and every bite thereafter was sublime. I couldn't swallow my food fast enough in anticipation of the next bite. I strode threw Dalston completely enamored with this incredible wrap, devouring my food like a snake and occasionally taking a second to take a step back and appreciate the moment in all its awe. It was like the first time I listened to Radiohead. Magnificent. A once in a lifetime opportunity.

The food in this place is excellent and worth every penny. The meat is high quality and cooked on a charcoal grill which you can see at the front of the restaurant. The bread and salads that it comes with have great flavours that really add to the meal. On our visit staff were really efficient and genuinely very friendly. I have only eaten here once since the very smart refurbishment but can't wait to go back.

Definitely don’t miss this place. Busy on weekend evenings, but rightly so. Wait it out for a seat - we waited about 15 minutes for a table but they’ll offer drinks in the interim so that your appetites are kept at bay. Food was delectable - big portions, fresh and well presented. Service was brilliant and quick. Sharing starters are about £12 (as pictured) and mains are about £12 a plate - great portions that includes an array of vegetarian dishes, so you may end up sharing a main like we did. A family-run restaurant that genuinely care.

Great food and great service. The staff at Testi were welcoming, friendly and on hand for anything you needed. They took our temperature on our way In and took our details down. They had put up screens between tables which made us feel comfortable. We went on a Saturday night and contrary to over reviewers, the restaurant was not too busy at all. We felt so at ease dining here during the current climate. The food was exceptional, some of the best stuffed vine leaves we'd had! We had vegeterian and fish dishes and they were all delicious. Most of the food we had was lovely - the bread, the dips, the kebabs. However , there were some disappointments. The cold meze is a selection of dips. The dips are great and the bread which comes with them is too; but we missed a wider selection of textures beyond bread and dips! The taramasalata was flavourless. Service was friendly if a little inattentive and slow.

As for a Turkish this is overall a pleasant place. Nice decor very unique compared to some of the newer styled restaurants. As for the food it was ok. I found that some of the red meat had a very distinct smell and taste which wasnt appetizing to me. Ive had many a Turkish in my time and dont experience this elsewhere. Service was adequate but overall I think this place has a lot of room for improvement in the taste of their food. This is north London so there must be at least a few other Turkish restsurants on the high street that can produce a tasty meal.

I really must take my hat off to you guys! The food was amazing, although you first denied us a seat due to being very busy and after we walked out you came back and called us in and then managed to seat us. I really appreciated the gesture! The Iskender was delightful! The restaurant was very busy, but the staff were all very attentive and well mannered. The food came out fresh and in good time. Thank you very much, I will be back on Friday 17th I will most likely be the only Asian there. Please make sure I have a nice table away from the doors and the cooker.
