Portion & plate size has gradually gotten smaller over the visits. Never had a bad experience when I’ve gone , sesame chicken is a top choice I’d always recommend. Burger was average nothing special . Decent restaurant food, does the job , nothing super special.

So, Matt with the Merc hat saved this from being a 1 star review. Table of 4 booked in at 1930hrs. We arrived at 1930hrs to be told we have to wait outside until our seating time.... Which was 1930hrs... Made no sense but we're soon allowed in and told to sit at the bar and we would be called over. Half an hour passed and we think we've been forgotten as other people came and went from the bar so a staff member was asked and we were advised our table will be ready soon. Another half an hour and Matt noticed we had still not been sat so worked his magic and we got our table. A round of drinks as an apology and away we went. So an hour's wait for our booked table but was sorted with free drinks, so that's why it's not a 5 star review as otherwise it would have been. The food came out quickly and was very nice. I had the inferno burger, tasty! The wife had something vegi and she stated it was very good. Ribs - gooood :) The Smores ice cream was very nice, although not sure they were melted. All in all, without the wait this would have been a 5 star review and top marks to Matt to looking after us.

Hi have been hear before and was good, this time was not so. Booked 3 days before going as we had 2 wheelchair users with us, got there and the table wasn’t ready, which was disappointing as we had pre booked, they took 10mins but cleared a table that was suitable, it seems in Leicester Square the restaurants don’t allocate you a table but take your booking and panic when you arrive. We weren’t offered disabled access via the exit, so had to go up step to get into the restaurant. Then the 10 min wait for a table, definitely not enough staff on. Then a near 20 mins for a staff member to take our order , even though we had been ready to order our food for 10mins, i ordered the half rack of Ribs and my wife the Garlic and herb Chicken, the salsa dip was hot and had a kick to it that wasn’t advertised and 4 kids meals. These came fairly quickly, but the size of my ribs were quite small compared to a harvester , £15 for this dish was about £4 too expensive , 1 kids dish was not available. The staff were very polite and friendly . Now coming to pay my bill was a nightmare, tried for 20 mins to pay as was due to take the children to see Mary Poppins, 2 staff members said it was the system that wasn’t working, so they finally got a manager over, i asked what was the problem was and I could pay cash if it helped, this helped, I was honest and told him all of our dishes and and drinks, he did redeem himself and gave us £20 off the bill for being so honest. The food was ok , but would only return with out the children as the disabled access isn’t great and the booking system obviously doesn’t work properly. 3 stars due to refund of money and polite staff

Now situated just next to the Odeon in Leicester Square, this TGI is a large jndoor seated restaurant. We were greeted quickly at the door and seated with directions supplied to the toilet area on route. A clean and well equipped table was given and staff were friendly and quick to attend to take orders. All confinements are already on the table and most were filled to the top and clean. Staff were polite and pointed out what food was unavailable. Food arrived quickly, was hot but not piping hot. The food has a good taste and the quantity of food supplied was sufficient for the price. Prices are reasonable for central London and it appeared you got a fair amount of food for your money. When pressed for a receipt, it arrived quickly and payment taken without delay. TGI always offer a good menu with plenty of selection and there’s always something new to look at and choose. Overall a good visit, reasonable prices and friendly staff

I am no expert on TGI Fridays, but this one seemed great! We were seated quickly despite it obviously being really busy. The food and drinks were lovely and it was generally just a great experience, especially considering how busy it was! I felt a little sorry for the staff who looked to be rushing around like mad to try and keep up with everything! But they did an excellent job and I will make sure to visit again whenever I'm next in London!

Very good service. I was in the mood for a Lemonade, which was not on the menu. I asked them if they could make something or do something like a mocktail with lemons. I believe I got the best lemonade I ever had. The waitress was very friendly and accessible. My recommendation; get the boneless chicken tenders with Jackdaniels glaced.

Great meal here Saturday after being let down at All Bar One. Didn't have a booking but were found a seat. All of the staff were friendly and kind. Food was delicious and cocktails yummy. Staff attentive but not too overbearing . Would be happy to return.

Visited Leicester Square restaurant yesterday afternoon. Been to many different TGIs as we love the food. As usual, food was excellent however, the cocktails appeared to be watered-down! My husband had the non-alcoholic cocktail, couldn't taste in ginger just tonic water. I had the Baileys cocktail served as very watery consistency with no Baileys or other alcoholic taste at all. I would have been best ordering Prosecco. I am regretting not complaining at the time. Though i have vowed to air my experience on the cocktails. In other TGI restaurants I've always been able to order a floater coffee. They don't offer these at this venue. I agree with a previous very recent review, portion sizes seem reduced though still very tasty. Moving forward, we'll stick to our regular venues and checking in advance regarding cocktails.

Lovely food, great staff service. Sophie was great. Only disappointment was the music from the right side being very loud and 'tinny' sounding from a poor quality speaker . This really spoilt the atmosphere. The restaurant was OK but old and tired looking. Won't go here again.

Due to where we were sat they forgot about us for a while and a couple of drinks never came at all until halfway through our meal I mentioned to our waiter who started serving us halfway through. Irish chap absolutely a credit to this location food chain could do enough and always had a pleasant manor. How a customer should be made to feel. U didn't get his name but thank you!

I went to TGI Friday on the 31st of August, two days ago with two friends, and I have to say it was probably the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Booking on the website was very easy and allowed you to pick what seating area you would like and also had a box for any extra comments or requests. Within the restaurant there were good safety measures in place including all staff wearing masks, tables being closed off for social distancing and hand sanitizer at the entrance and near the tables. We got to sit at our table immediately without needing to wait which I thought was great. My server’s name was Tevin and he was very friendly and great. He made sure we knew if there was any hold up and he checked up on us to make sure we were alright. He also made sure we got the Aperol promo that came with our booking, and that we knew we could refill our fries. He was very accommodating with us. I ordered the WholeHog burger, nachos and a banana milkshake. The food was delicious. The burger was filling and the nachos had a generous helping of sour cream, cheese, guacamole and was pretty spicy. The banana milkshake tasted very fresh and homemade. I tried one of my friend’s order: the chicken strips, and they were so good that I wished I ordered them myself. Lastly the ambiance of TGI Fridays was interesting. There were TVs decorating the wall and the grill area was visible from where we sat, along with the bar. There was pop music playing and the tables and chairs were very clean. Overall, as I said, I had a really great experience and I’d recommend going. 10/10

I didn't catch his name but I know he's from Burnley and has been in London for 6 years. Best waiter / bar man in London as far too many are far too inadequate. Had an amazing time, walked in with my Girlfriend on her Birthday and the staff made sure we were looked after. Even brought out some cake and got all the staff to sing Happy Birthday. We visited TGIF leicester square yesterday. We booked a table but unfortunately we were 30 mins delayed due to traffic and couldn’t connect to them on call to inform. We turned up to check, we had a person with walking difficult on crutches. Despite on a busy friday evening, The manager immediately got a table for us and the gentleman who served our table was extremely helpful. The food was very nice and atmosphere was just right. Will be visiting again when we come to that area. Cheers guys!

True American dining. As fat as it gets! If you are into those kind of food it is certainly a place for you. The food quality wasn't the best tho and I have eaten better steaks in my life. However, the staff was very very kind and helpful. The place has a a variety of menus including gluten free or vegetarian so I feel like everyone will find something for themselves. The wine was good and reasonably priced. The food price was high but the portions are big. There are few things certain in life- death, taxes, my wife hating my outfit and TGI Fridays delivering decent food. It's not good for you but it tastes great. This location is on Leicester Square so a booking in advance is essential for an evening meal. Even then, we still had to queue so give plenty of time.

Leicester Square you have one of the best waitresses we have experienced when eating in TGI and her name was Anna S. She was attentive and we never had to ask for refills they were already there. Went here for Valentines as we both love TGI s. The service was excellent, atmosphere was lovely and the place overall was really cosy. Got really lucky that we were sat in a quiet area where there weren't that many tables next to us. Our waiter was Adam, he deserves an extra compliment. He was extremely nice to us and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied! The food was awesome and came really quickly, tasty and up to the usual standards. Overall 5/5! Will definitely come back here.

Nice atmosphere a little like an American diner feel to it but more sophisticated. Bar, but did not use the bar so can't comment. Waitress was awesome. Smiling, warm and welcoming. Very professional. No problems with ordering the food. Food was also good. Although the price was a little over priced. But not going to kill you. Would be nice if a little cheaper. But with lockdowns and the rest this should be expected. Place was clean and presented well. Toilets were good. Considering lots of people coming in, this place sells alcohol, so the toilets were a lot better than I thought they would be. We had a good time enjoyed the food and the dessert. Fully stuffed. I would go here again and would recommend to friends and family. A nice enjoyable night. The way it should be.

When I got given the card with a QR code for an allergen menu, I was so excited - it seemed like TGIs were finally making things easy for allergy sufferers! The menu works really well, and the option to include items with possible traces is a fantastic idea. However, it all went downhill once a manager heard I had a sesame allergy. They spoke to me as if I was a problem and shouldn't be there, and were pretty condescending. They even had to come back and check my order again because they had been focussed on talking at me rather than listening to me. Then, they had another member of staff come over and basically explain to my partner - not me - that if I died it was my own fault. The new allergen menu is amazing, but the attitude of the staff made me feel both anxious, and like I was a problem, not a person. Any allergy sufferer has heard the 'no guarantees' spiel every time they've eaten out. We're the ones at risk, so of course we know it needs to be taken seriously, but we're also people who have come to have a nice meal out, not to be treated like an issue.

Been to tgi's lots of times but this was most disappointing we arrived a bit early so had to wait for a table ,there was nowhere to wait except at the bar ,not ideal with a six year old .once offered a table the food was not brilliant mostly cold ,and soggy nachos. However the manager did give us a discount for the whole experience ,but we would have to think twice about returning to this particular branch.

So it seems that we're making TGIF an annual thing? We had a hankering for steak and since we had a good time at the Piccadilly Circus branch (RIP) last year, we thought we'd give the Leicester Square one a try. It was quite busy (TGIThursday), so while the staff were friendly and helpful, there were a few times where it was hard to get someone's attention for a refill or for replacement cutlery etc. The ordering was maybe a little less smooth than I had hoped. For drinks I tried ordering Fanta, was told that they no longer serve it! What the heck? For mains two of us wanted the ribeye, but that was out of stock! Switch to the sirloin. Some mozzarella sticks ordered as starters failed to materialise by the time the mains had arrived and had to requested again. Despite all that, the food was good overall. You could tell because the four of us shut up long enough to stuff ourselves! 😁 Because of birthdays I ended up with three desserts (!). The sundaes were good, the free slice of birthday cake was cheap and dry... In conclusion, I think we'll be back to TGIFridays next year, but perhaps we'll check out the Covent Garden location instead... 😏

As a family group this was a lovely night out but unfortunately TGI's really let us down. We have dined here several times in the past for birthday and family get togethers and they have always been successful but on this occasion the staff were unattentive, quite curt and generally kept us waiting between courses. It is a great venue but it was not busy which surprised me considering the time of year. The food was great and the cocktails divine, just the staff let us down. Oh and the gents toilets are disgusting, you really need to replace the long troughs with something more hygienic.

Super helpful staff! Went there with my family and the manager came to our table to apologise for not having the steak we ordered. They accommodate the needs of kids no matter how picky they are. Free refills for the soft drinks and always serve with a smile! Highly recommended :)

Came here for an evening meal with some old friends, our server Oisin was great, he was patient and very helpful especially with my cocktail order as i like to try new cocktails, cocktail went down well. The portion size was small could have done with some more sweet potato fries but overall food tasted good, The pecan dessert was delicious.

I went to TGI lecister square today which didn’t start of well as the receptionist was not welcoming atall. Oisin saw the mini commotion and came over to help. He gave the best customer service and my long drive to this TGI was worth it! Oisin has great customer service skills and now it’s clear why he is the manager at this brunch! I hope he keeps thriving in this role because he goes above and beyond for his customers!

Came here on a Sunday night with my friend after a horrible experience at a nearby restaurant. Did have much of a high expectation as I step into this place as I had a lot of steaks and ribs before coming here. However, this place failed me a little. Expensive, slow and my ribs came in very burnt! Alright, probably I am in the fault of not telling how I want my ribs to be done, but little did I knew that it will came BURNT! I am uncertain whether I should be saying this but probably there's a lack of focus when food is made in the kitchen! Disappointed! Would not recommend.

Food was amazing! However, when we arrived there 5 minutes before our time slot, 2 black staff members asked us to sit down on the side for a while until our table is ready. Another couple came as well and were asked to do the same. The 2 staff then went somewhere. 5 minutes later, others arrived and now waiting in front of the door and a different member of staff started letting them in. I then went and joined the queue and they let us in. If I haven't stood up and went, I don't think we will be entertained. We were all booked for the same time slot but they should prioritise thise who arrived first. Poor customer service. Toilet was gross that time too.

Me and my friends had the best time ever! We didn't have to wait long for our food and the waiter absolutely smashed it. I'm pretty sure I've never met a waiter cooler than Todd before. The food was incredible and we had a few nice ciders with it. I would definitely recommend this place if you feel like having a nice casual evening. The atmosphere was very comfortable and they played music the whole time. I'd love to and will go there again.

Food was slow and quality was not good here. I have been to better TGI's. Milk shakes were watery where left too long before collecting. Dessert looked nothing like picture..more like mush on a plate. And took over half an hour to get to us . Duck fajita was dry and not sizzling and you have to pull it apart your self.... So not even shredded ready for you to fill your wraps. Very disappointing. Staff polite and friendly.

firstly i would like to thank becca murphy who made the greatest cocktails and gave as good as she got on the banter she had to deal with 8 fellas on a stag do who thought they were much funny than they actually were. this young lady is an absolute asset to this bar, whilst working always smiled nothing was to much trouble and i wish her all the very best in her theatrical career, and if this is how she approaches it this young lady will make it. the drinks may have been expensive but she mad it worth the time we was all in there. if i could give six stars i would thank you again from all of us on the stag do remember to put a good word in for my youngest son, ps im still laughing at your attempt to do a cockney accent was as good as my brave heart one

TGI Fridays probably has one of the best atmospheres in a restaurant that I have been in and when you go it really does feel like one of those special treat days! I have visited many time and most of the time I've had a great experience here! There have been a few times when things haven't been the best but the in house team have always made up for this when things have gone wrong which is nice as not every place will go the extra mile when they get things wrong. The food and drink are excellent especially there sesame chicken strips! Delicious!!! Theme in the restaurant is as to be expected a American theme which is done really well! Always clean and tidy when I've visited and cant wait until my next visit!

Bit of a strange Tgi Fridays this one. Was expecting it to be bedlam in there based on the location but was half empty at 19:15 on a Saturday night and didn't get any busier. Bit odd for a restaurant to have a bouncer to great you at the door? Every other restaurant in the same area just have a door host. Food wise I enjoyed it for the first time in a while, well cooked and seasoned. Staff wise now this is the reason I've given 3 stars it was poor as a previous employee of the company I know what I should expect and there was plenty of staff to run a full restaurant but they seem to just run around doing nothing and are not attentive in the slightest and didn't seem to quite know how to 'work a table' and earn their tips. The toilets are also disgusting and obviously don't get any attention from the staff whilst the restaurant is open.

Was the second day being open after lockdown. Food was so good (sesame chicken is 10/10, recommended, and so are the chips), and when the cocktail I ordered was too strong they watered it down with lemonade for me. He was always on his feet and never forgot anything I asked for, his positive energy was radiating and even through the cold he continued to be efficient. Ran out of ice cream (seriously?) so no milk shakes for my nephews. Sesame chicken good but salad dull and going limp in the dressing, chips could have been hotter but acceptable. Onion rings OK, a little greasy. About to leave and waitress volunteered that ice cream was available now so the boys got their milk shakes after all. A thoughtful touch, but shakes themselves thinner than last time. Service quite good, but slow at times. Very mixed. Probably won't return to this restaurant.

I really like the drinks. They have an array of cocktails alongside standard alcohol drinks. You can sit at the bar and order as well. The staff are very friendly. They will remake a drink if it's not up to scratch with no problems. This location is very busy, so its best to call and make reservations so that your not disappointed. They serve your standard American dishes. I like to eat American food in America because that's where I grew up. Slightly biased I know.

There was an abundance of staff and the place wasn't even half full, so no excuses really. At the end of the day, we walked round parts of London trying to find somewhere to eat, with SO many now closed due to Coronavirus, such a shame - so you'd think a waitress would probably try and keep her job relevant all things considered. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice decor. Overpriced for quantity and quality. The bar is really good: smoothies, cocktails and milkshakes were yummy! The taste was ok; a hit and a miss. Steak 'well done' was dry. Ribs were tasty. Presentation of the food was poor: the plates are so ugly.

Really good food , quick service and friendly staff . The drinks were good as well. We were in and out pretty quickly but could quite easily have stayed there for an long time . If you've been to one TGI, you've been to them all , but this didn't let the franchise down .

It's okay. The prices are quite exaggerated for the dishes. Obviously they serve you in the European portions (which are POOR) but if you're American and want to feel like home I'd just recommend you to somewhere else, the portions here are not worth the money. Not american portions... it didn't feel like real TGI Friday. Friendly staff though

had a lovely time. Food was amazing and considering me and my friend are very fussy eaters and asked for certain things to be taken off, the order came exactly how we wanted it. It did take a while, but that was understandable on a busy Saturday night. Want to say a big thank you to the waitress Chelsea (young, blonde woman). Who made us feel very welcome and made sure we were looked after. She’s an absolute credit to the team.

Giving 4 starts as stake was undercooked as I wanted medium rare and recieved rare. When a member of stuff seeing I wanted there attention came over straight away then took it away to be replaced. Tasty Dishes and good portion sizes, they get very busy though so don't expect a quick service. It's more a sit and chill place. Our waitress was lovely even rectified the error made on my friends order.

Reserved a week in advance for dinner with a friend. Was told on the door I had to "wait" to see if a table was available which was a bit weird. Ordered a starter and two mains, all to arrive at the same time. Starter came, nice and hot. No problem. The mains didn't arrive until about 45 minutes after we ordered (and we had to alert a waiter to this). When they finally came to the table, everything was lukewarm. Sesame chicken was way too sweet. Was all just a bit meh... Probably won't go back.

Excellent customer service, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I had steak with chips and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had cheesecake for dessert and it was lovely. I left a tip as well because I was so satisfied. Will come back here when I get the chance.

Good food selection, loads of seating and very preppy, 'American style' staff. While you're not going to be blown away by anything here, it's a solid restaurant for a chain, and has all the benefits that come with being a chain (really efficient and good prices). The milkshakes are A+ and highly recommended.

my food was great, duck fajitas , but kids chicken bites where over cooked. but they ended up refunding those as the child had picked them apart to try and find some edible chicken . fast seating, quick drinks order . serving lady needs to concentrate more on customers though instead of dancing and giggling at the kitchen end , when we wanted a refill of drinks .

Location: The restaurant is very easy to find, sitting in the center of Leicester square close to the cinema. You can not miss it really. On busy days you can find yourself having a long waiting time for a table (up to 2 hours). Service: We had a lovely service, all the waitresses were happy and very quick in taking the orders. We were also told in advance who would serve us, and they made sure we were content throughout our meal. Ambience: The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite lively and had an old American diner feel to it. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their time and their food. Music was on point, good for young people and for adults as well, as you can still hear what the person is saying whilst enjoying the music. Lighting could be slightly improved but I'd adds to the 'American style'. Food: The food was excellent and speedy. The starter we had was lightly fried shrimp which surprised us with the sauce it came with, which was very unique and delicious. It came about 2 minutes after order. We both ordered burgers, one chicken and the other beef, one with chips and other sweet potato fries and they came out and definitely didn't dissapoint. Was a very pleasing meal much to the eye and stomach! The only thing my girlfriend noticed is that the burger bread was slightly dry but besides that it was very good. Price: It was 24 pounds a head with our order of one starter and a main course each with refillable soft drink. We think as a joint decision it was an overall good experience and the price was to value! -JenLee🐉🐇
