We visited the lovely Thai Square restaurant at Putney Bridge, which is situated by the River Thames. We had a very enjoyable meal and were served by some very pleasant waiters. The meal kicked of with a Gin Fizz cocktail which was very nice and refreshing, and some Chang Beer. We had an assortment of starters comprising Steamed Dumplings with a sweet dipping sauce, Deep Fried Squid, Soft Shell Crab and a Papaya Salad - very nice. For our mains we had the amazing Chu Chu Prawns, Prawn Pad Thai, Red Curry with Prawns and Jasmine Rice - all very nice. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the views of the river were nice. Recommended 😀.

We had a brilliant time with family at Thai Rice. Great atmosphere, really great service, the ladies that served us were super, the venue was nice venue especially as we had nice view of Riverside. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. Only thing that let it down was the food. For instance my beef stir fry dish was slightly dry, the pad Thai was burnt and starters were bit bland. The only thing I liked was spring rolls and rice. I wasn't overly keen on the dessert. But the waitresses were really good and quickly replaced burnt pad thai. On the whole brilliant service, great venue but food wasn't up to much.

Simply love Thai food, and Thai Square is totally remarkably genuine Thai food, delicious, versatile, a piece of Thailand in London. Adorable refined exquisite ambiance, with a superb river Thames views! We'd just been yesterday (22-Oct-2021), and they have this special set menu where you get a glass of Champagne with your three course meal, a wonderful treat, at a great price! Totally recommended!

I ate here for my birthday last year and I was not disappointed. Make sure you choose the seat by the window. The lighting feels very cozy and the river opposite the restaurant. You have a bar downstairs if you choose to spend that extra time with friends. The food is also nice , a little bit pricy but not exaggerated. I loved the coconut ice cream and sticky rice.

Pretty good food and very nice presentation. but pricey in term of drink. Nice river view but the day I went there was some work going on on the river so the view got blocked... there was this one dish that I am not happy about which is the grill prawn. £10 for a single grilled prawn... urg.

The location is great. With view of the river the bridge and the park across the river. The decorations within the restaurant is nice and very clean. A lovely welcome as you enter. Great service by polite and friendly staffs. The food was excellent.

Always a fantastic visit, guaranteed. During summer hours (it's 23rd Feb and this is "summer hours") they're open during the day too, as opposed to just for lunch and dinner. The food here is absolutely fantastic, and never fails to impress. It's family orientated and the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend, and PROTIP by the way - during the "summer hours" if you like a quiet environment go from around 2-4pm. It's quiet and sometimes you're the only ones there. GREAT if you've got loud embarrassing kids (parents, am I right?!).

I've been here on many occasions and give big thumbs up to the atmosphere and beautiful views, the service provided by the staff and the music and entertainment. The cocktails and happy hour offer is a fab deal as well. However the food is expensive and is a bit hit and miss, some taste nice but most just average and portion sizes could be more generous for the price. Steer clear of the jungle curry which IMHO is too bland and watery.

Have frequented a few Thai Squares, this one stands out for its impressive views over the Thames (the London Sewer extension is currently taking over the view somewhat at the moment), but the service is quick, polite and attentive. The lobster mixed grill was an utter delight, highly recommended.

Firstly, let me say our server was AMAZING. She was absolutely lovely. Our food was also very good. The reason for three stars is, 1) the inside of my tea pot was rather dirty, and 2) I think there were eggshells in my dish. I do also think it was a bit overpriced.

The food was amazing with nice views of river. Staff was very nice and excellent service. Parking is little difficult to find and expensive. Some places parking is free from Saturday evening till Sunday night.

This restaurant has alot going for it. It has the 3rd best view of any restaurant in the UK (according to Hello magazine), plus great service and food. The only thing not so great are the desserts which compared to the rest of the meal are very lacking in flavour. My advice is if you come here just skip dessert.

This restaurant was booked for my boyfriend's birthday, the ambience was beautiful, the cocktails were nice enough... they could be more generous with the alcohol! They seemed very short staffed, we had to constantly try and get the attention of the staff, they then took a while to come to your table. Presentation of the food was beautiful, the taste was very average. I'm definitely not in a hurry to go back there.

Went there for a surprise birthday party, and the venue is beautiful! Wonderful views of the thames and a nice romantic feel. The atmosphere was superb and the service was top notch! I especially LOVE the manager Ken, he was such a sweetheart, attending to all our needs and going above and beyond to give us a great service, and make sure we had a great dining experience. The food was absolutely lovely, I loved everything I ate. I would highly recommend this restaurant, five star service! Make sure you ask for Ken the manager and he definitely won't disappoint! This is a mediocre restaurant with mediocre food and view. Was really disappointed, the food did not have enough flavour and quite frankly I could have better at home. We asked for a window table with a view for 3 people. However, when one of our party could not attend they gave us a downgraded table without window seating for two with a serviette under the table leg to keep it stable! The view wasn’t worth it anyway, just a big dumping site cordoned of in front of the river. To add insult to injury they then added an extra dish to our bill that we hadn’t even ordered. Even with the ‘help to eat’ it was an expensive meal with little quality. They might be trying to justify the high prices because of high business rates at the various locations, not worth it in my opinion. I will not be attending ever again.

We tried out their vegetarian (vegan) set menu and what a lovely surprise! Sooo delicious and full of flavour. The best vegan Thai food around and would definitely recommend it! We also tried out the monsoon valley rosé and it was wonderful. Definitely our favourite wine. We found out that the usual bartender wasn’t available the night that we went however our lovely waitress went above and beyond to make the cocktails that we wanted (and they were amazing!) Overall we were very pleased with the food, drinks and service of our waitress and can’t wait to go again :)

We were there on a Saturday night when the place was near full. There's a nice view over the river and a generally welcoming atmosphere, but a bit of a cramped feeling due to the density of the tables. Some of the smaller tables under the lifted gallery look a bit oppressed. The food is generally good, I would say it's the best feature of the place: on a sunny midday where the place is less packed the whole experience is probably really nice. The ground floor bar looks relatively lively, but I had a slight feeling it was trying to be something it wasn't. At about 81 pounds for 2 cocktails (one non alcoholic), one mixed starter, three mains, coconut rice, espresso and a sweet, it's a bit less cheap than I would expect a chain of this kind to be.

Went for dinner with my bestfriend on a Sunday night. It was a nice change from the crowded and loud pubs along the Putney high street. Absolutely love this restaurant chain, especially the one in Putney Bridge. The location and the view is amazing. They have a great selection of cocktails and drinks to start with. The menu has everything you are looking for in a Thai restaurant. They serve this delicious prawn lemon grass soup and the famous Pad Thai. The table service is like being back in Asia. Great place, highly recommend it!

The restaurant is beautiful, but food quality was very variable. The starters were good, the Pad Thai was very good, but the duck in the duck curry was dry and hard. The soft shell crab was not good at all we sent it back staright away , the jungle curry was horrible, more than a curry was a clear broth soup. The broth and veges wete completely testless and the aubergines in the soup/curry were still half row. When we mentioned it to the manager he said that was the way the thai cook it. The servise was slow and waitresses were not very friendly or corteous. Prices are too high for the service and the quality of food you get. Not a place i will go again

Thai Square is a nice "experience" restaurant, in a great location next to the Thames, a quick walk from Putney Bridge. The food is well done and the waiters and waitresses are attentive, but it is the overall experience you have, with the buzzy atmosphere and looking out onto the Thames from the first floor tables that makes it special. They have a three hour "happy hour" in the evening till 9, with fun cocktails. For those interested in more traditional options, there is a reasonable wine list. It will depend on what you're looking for, but it's typically more fun when it's busy and can feel underwhelming when there are few diners at quiet times.

Thai Square is located just by the river and offers a nice view of the water and tree area that surrounds the bank. There is parking on the small slip road, however i am not sure of the restrictions. I visited the restaurant for a sunday lunch and it was quite quiet, with a few other tables full. The restaurant is quite large and is very beautifully decorated. The one peeve i have about the facilities is that one (if not both) of the ladies cubicles do not have toilet roll holders. I bought a Thai Iced Tea which was delicious and beautifully presented and for food I had a variety of starters and Massaman Curry with Coconut Rice. It was incredibly filling and quite delicious. Would definitely recommend for a fine dining Thai experience.

although i have selected 'good' fort the aboove options i actually have a mixed opinion of this place. its in a beautiful location on the river front and its a really cool looking venue in and out. Beautiful thai waiting staff and good food. however... after a certain point in the night it all goes wrong. i have often been there on a drunken night out and every time end up leaving coz either a fight breaks out or its just too crowded. they don't have a restriction on how many people they let in and it literally gets to a point in the night when you literally can't move and its very unpleasent and sweaty and you can't buy drinks coz it takes so long. this is the first negitive review i have writeen. however if you on a 'boyz' night out this may be ok for you as it quite good cheesy music but if your looking for a cheesy music cool place by far i would say go to 'all bar 1' in putney.
