Reviews of Thai Square Trafalgar Square

I’ve been here a few times for special occasions, and the food has always been great and leaves me satisfied. Really good customer service as well.
I went back recently and tried something different to what I usually get. I ordered the tamarind duck (jasmine rice on the side) which was lovely but a little too rich for my taste, and the duck was slightly on the dry side. Nonetheless I still enjoyed it.
My boyfriend had the lobster which he said was really nice, but there wasn’t enough of it!
I can’t fault the desserts at all, they are really delicious and refreshing. I had the chocolate pudding which came with ice cream on the side.

Nice atmosphere and lovely staff. Food is amazing but all the meals we ordered are sweet even though we didn't particularly order anything sweet. Really do appreciate it if you could reduce the sweetness in all your food. Apart from that lovely family-friendly place. Highly recommended.

Full of beautiful and traditional decor on the outside and in. This is great restaurant, especially to mark a special occasion. Took my mother here for her birthday. The dishes were great. I shared the mixed starters and has stir fried basil for main course with brown rice. The portions were at a reasonable size and were delicious. The service was also great.

We had a lovely lunch here today. We booked online and were quickly seated to our table. The service was great, we were slow to decide what we wanted but we were never rushed.
The food arrived in good time and was delicious.
I have been here a few times and received similar service, always friendly and reliable. Would recommend!

Start of by saying the food was amazing. I can't fault anything we had. Decor in the place was also amazing, really enjoyed the ambience and the feel of the restaurant. Biggest let down was service, one girl knew what was going on but was very busy serving all the tables upstairs. Everyone who came up had to check table numbers, drinks were served wrong, long periods of time without any service, a great meal just needed extra with the service side.

🍽️The mixed starters 🥟 were definitely the highlight of our meal! I loved the flavours of the Chui Chui Prawns, it paired perfectly with coconut rice😍 The Green Chicken Curry 🍛was tasty but would have preferred more vegetables! The chocolate pudding was heavenly 🤤
✨The decor was so stunning with a lovely ambience. The menu has a lot of variety including vegan and vegetarian options 🌱
⭐The food came very quickly but the service was a bit slow at times! Would highly recommend @thaisquare if you love authentic Thai food! 🇹🇭⭐

Everything was ok but pricey for what it was. The chicken skewers in the mixed starters platter were dry and so was the tamarind duck. Pad Thai was good after adding some chili sauce. Will likely try some other Thai restaurants in London before revisiting Thai Square.
D. N. K.
The ambience and service was good..but food was not as expected. Can be improved. Have had better thai food at other places.

Not like I remember, it has been quite a while since I was last here! Food is OK, I'd recommend the drunken noodles (lovely), drinks/cocktails are good, but maybe it's the day or time we went, seems to be missing that little something. I hope as things start to get back, this place gets back its vibe because it deserves it. The staff are nice enough and one of my party said they've got good restroom music to dance to!

Food's tasty and really big portion, i ordered jungle curry and chicken green curry...i enjoyed cgc the most

Wonderful food great service from thai staff!
Tick was such a great manager.
I had a great time in Thai Square.
S. R.
Very mediocre food and service. £95 for two starters and main with glass of prosecco ( Inc 12% tip) don't mind tipping for good service but not when nothing special, not even a mint with the bill. 🙄

The food was really lovely and the staff were very nice. The only thing I would say is that it was a bit expensive, but I guess it would be as it is in town.

Great menu. Food tasty. We had the set menu with matched wines. Good value. Staff pleasant.

Nice service.
Good ambience.
Pina colada can taste better.
Portions are fair.
Felt safe in covid times.

My wife and I were lucky enough to get a table on Saturday at 6pm without booking after seeing a show. First impressions of the restaurant were good as we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The decor is contemporary and we felt very relaxed. We ordered the aromatic duck to share which was very nice along 2 glasses of red. For our main course we ordered the beef black bean stir fry and the lamb shank penang, these were both delicious. The lamb fell off the bone with a tasty balanced sauce. The stir fry beef was thinly cut and tender.
Overall we found our experience to be faultless and would return again the future.

This place is amazing, the foods are super yummy, especially the stir-fried lamb with lots of Thai herbs, it was spectacular. The shrimp cakes are very bouncy, The most classic dish like Thai omelette is delicious. steamed fish with lime and chili sauce is very creative and refreshing. Lastly, the service is great, nice and friendly staffs. The location is also not too far from the Trafalgar Square. Love this place, will definitely be back again!

Very tasty food and lovely staff - They held onto our window table for us despite us being over 50mins late due to a series of tube cancellations and train delays. The food was so nice and service was quick, it really turned our disastrous evening around. Haven’t tried Thai wine before, and really nice. Big THANK YOU!

Their food are amazing. Served warm and delicious. The customer service was exceptional and welcoming. Definitely would recommend checking them out. Pls try their Mango sticky rice dessert if you're a mango lover. It is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you and God bless.

Stopped here around 3pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was relatively busy. Food was good but not great. The location and the decor, however are very good. I got the Drunken Noodles and while it was good, it was unremarkable. It paired well with an excellent Thai iced tea. The best part of the meal was the mango and stick rice dessert. Very sweet mango and warm sticky rice. The right flavor and texture.
S. Y.
Wow! This is certainly the best Thai food I had in the UK so far. We had the vegetarian starters which had a bit of everything. Then we had two green curry with the coconut rice. We also had 2 bottles of sparkling water.
Normally I take pictures of the starters and the mains. But the food was so good that I forgot to take any pictures of the mains. I'm sure I will have another chance as I'm definitely coming back in the future.
Service was good, price reasonable, taste was great. Portions are quite big, we couldn't finish them.
Only sad thing we that the mango with sticky rice was sold out. Will definitely order it next time.
Our bill was £63.34 including gratuity.

Nothing bad to say about Thai square. Was fantastic the food and tasted authentic. Lovely size and great friendly staff. The reason why it doesn’t hit the 5 star is just because it didn’t wow me but definitely loved it and would go again. Decor was nice but some other Thai restaurants have more of a Thai theme. Again, no faults with the restaurant on my visit.

The service was really friendly quick and the cocktails we had were lovely. Food wise I'd recommend the lamb shank curry it was delicious 😋. I found the food and vibe to be nice overall.

We have tried a few locations and the service has always been consistent. The food is always fresh and delicious, the portions are quite big and the staff are so helpful and friendly.
You can eat here on (smart) casual occasions or get all dressed up - whatever suits you.
This particular restaurant is very central and about 1 min walk to Charing Cross station or 2 mins walk to Trafalgar Square.
The decor is always striking and facilities are clean. I imagine you can get beautiful pictures with the fountain, or flower walls.

I was craving some Asian food for lunch while touring London on foot and happened to come by this place. And I loved it! Great staff who was at my table a second after I chose my meal: chicken pad thai. The food was amazing, very nicely spiced and quite a big portion. Can't wait to go there again 😊

We have travelled a lot and had tastes of Thai cuisine from all around the world.
It was our 16th anniversary and we had chosen the Trafalgar Square restaurant because of its ambiance. Ambiance was excellent but the food from starters to dessert was spot on. We are both vegetarians and we had so many options to choose from. We had ordered clear mushroom soup, Thai veg salad with cashew nuts etc, jungle curry and green curry and coconut ice cream for dessert. Each of the taste was different and beautiful. The chef sent us a dessert plate with"Happy Anniversary" message on it. Thai square had finished our day with silver lining. Thank you.

The location was amazing being right next to Trafalgar Square in London. We ate here on a snowy night in February and the food was hot and delicious. The Tom Kha Soup was perfect. The service was great. The prices were expensive but you are in London and the food was yummy. #LocalGuides

Marvellous. Wow! What a decor, thats both inside the building and outside of it! Treated myself and a freind Dec 23rd 2021 + a visit or two by myself b4 that. Impressed I was!, says Yoda! Great staff. Photographed the Menus and the Wine list I shall photograph next visit next time.
Nice Professional Welcome, they looked after me very well despite only having a moderate meal of a bowl of Egg Fried Rice ( I had just come from somebody else's Xmas Party so I didn't have much room! ) and a cup of English Breakfast Tea with some hot milk. That came to £7.45p. I upped that to £9 including the tip, they normally add 12.25% staff tip.
They've won several First Places etc... in some of the Awards for Thai Restaurants year by year too!, must get a photo of that plackard inside the front door next time I visit them! They appear to be the Thai Place to go to it seems in Central London, literally right on the Southern Edge of Trafalgar Square too. Bright Red lights illuminate the building. Look South West from Nelson Column. Bhudda statues lots of colour.
They are the ones to go to! Some items quite pricey but the rates there on Trafalgar Square must be horrendous so live and let live. My view!
I. N.
Thai Square surprises me for its variety and diverse locations in London. The one in Trafalgar Square is more authentic and Asian look alike. With Buddha statues and Thai decorations. The menu is basically the same as in other locations. The food is tasty and the portions are big enough to keep your tummy going for a few hours. It has very nice toilets and good service. I've tried the drunken noodles this time and they were beautiful as usual.
G. G.
Good food but small portions for high price. The female staff who assisted me was not friendly and welcoming. She gave me a look when I was coming in as if I am not going to eat there.
All them 3 staff were speaking in their language as if we could not hear them, giving me a hint of they were talking about one of the customers.
They do not see to their customers quick, I had to speak very loudly to get their attention.
The place looked and feel authentically Thai, being from Asia, I was disappointed to not receive the sense of warm and accomodated.
The food was 3 out of 5. They seat us very close to each other while there are alot for single customer to seat on.
I will not recommen this place to anyone. I paid £24+ for small serving and the staff were not the most happy to serve and ALWAYS HEARD AND SEEN TALKING(in their language) ON THE SIDE OF THE COUNTER.
R. R.
Great location, great taste and great service. I came with group and most of them gave 2 thumbs up for this restaurant. Service was fast and efficient. The atmosphere was great..
S. L.
Pleasant dining experience. Authentic meals, good portions, menu clearly labelled for allergies etc. Prices do reflect location, being just off from Trafalgar Square. Quite cavernous dining room so can get very noisy, so not great for intimate dining.
A. C.
Nice staff, nice service, tasty food! Mmmhhh Golden Curry...first time when I really enjoyed curry...and a really good Phad Thai ... a bit pricey though but overall it’s worth the experience :) up to you ...oh I forgot to mention that me and my boyfriend went there on a busy Saturday without booking but that wasn’t a problem cause we’ve been seated in 5 min without a problem
M. L. R.
My pictures don't do justice to the taste of the food. I went with some friends last weekend. We ordered different dishes one was the pad Thai, green curry, sticky rice, coconut rice, steak and king prawns. I ordered the green curry it had a great taste and it was very filling. The service was very quick and attentive. The only downside could be the price but for a lovely Thai dinner is worth it.
R. H.
Crazy but true, we grew tired of pub food in London and decided to go for Thai. This was a great choice. I choose my stand by favorite of drunken noodle and was not disappointed. Portions were enough, prices were reasonable, food was delicious, service was top notch and the interior atmosphere was very beautiful and relaxing. Definitely recommend this place. If you are visiting at a busier time make reservations.
N. I.
Looking fine restaurant with authentic taste. The size is quite big so perhaps you don't need starter. It said on the website that the restaurant opens all year round.
M. C.
Nice place and nice food. The staff really helpful and I enjoyed my food. The decor is really nice.
K. O.
Excellent Thai food, short wait and pleasant surroundings. Worth a visit if nearby.
R. C.
Excellent quality of food and very authentic. Liked the ambience of the restaurant and customer service.
D. F.
Lovely waitress. Meal was great. Recommend Duck red curry.
A. P.
A great venue with a truly magnificent decor, high quality food and service throughout the night
A. C.
A great Thai place in the heart of London just a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square. This is definitely not a tourist trap and considering the location and the quality, the price is pretty reasonable! There's so much on the menu I'd like to go back and try
O. K.
Food was yummy. Standard general menu. Saturday night service was slow. Mango crepe was a yummy dessert! Not sure how genuinely Thai it is but hey ho!
S. L. L.
Fine dining of authentic Thai foods, not a Thailand local resident but I have been to Thailand before, love the Mango sticky rice and pad thai which i think they are perfectly authentic and delicious!
J. C.
Was here in 2008, the service was good. I had never tried Thai food before so not sure how authentic it was, nevertheless the food was delicious. My girlfriend spoke the language which made the experience even better.
G. J.
As with other Thai Squares, high standards of food and service. Each is different, haven't yet decided on my favourite branch: this is up there with Queen Victoria Street. Still deciding. The stir fries are excellent. Worth exploring the lunch specials- not massive, served Bento Box style, but great value.
C. C.
Truly beautiful food. Great service. Great surrounds.
Had Duck Curry, Pad Thai and an amazing desert...all beautiful flavours!
G. L.
Lovely posh restaurant, beautiful decorations and friendly staff, quite expensive but worth it the food was delicious.
I. S.
Lovely food and had the privelidge of trying a Thai red wine, which was a first, and very pleasant.
N. O.
Food is really nice. Good atmosphere. Service a bit slow.
W. S.
Overall ambience very good, staff very polite & food was good too.
G.
Nice atmosphere but the experience was spoiled by the intense over sweetness of the sweet and sour fish main.
M. M.
Used to be a 5 star chain... Lost a star over the years, still good enough for a standard place. 100% go for the lamb shank
G. D.
Great pre-theatre food but make sure you ask for the theatre menu!
J. M.
Have eaten here several times over the last couple of years, mostly pre-covid obviously. Happy to report the food was delicious, as previously, service was good as well. Among the top Thai restaurants I've eaten in & there has been quite a few. Highly recommended.
P. J.
Beautiful meal.
Lovely bottle of wine.
Excellent waiter service.
Suggested menu choices offered by staff.
Great decor, and brilliant setting very close to Trafalger Square.
S. J.
One of the best Thai I have had in London. Although the food is quite overpriced for a the quantity and service.
T. W. N.
Food was just ok. Behaviour of staff should be polite.
S. G.
Delicious food. A lot of vegetarian options and nice cocktails
B. D.
This has been a long term favourite. Slightly more muted post covid but still excellent food and atmosphere. Always feel well looked after.
M. S.
Not my first time to Thai square and definitely not my last. The food was excellent and the service was without fault.
If you want an experience which is authentic and will leave your stomach and your taste buds satisfied, I’d highly recommend!
S. F.
It is better to book in advance as it is usually packed especially during weekends. You should try their Pad Thai and Thai iced tea.
V. S.
The menu looked amazing so we decided on the tasting menu which included a glass of wine with each course. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented, I enjoyed every mouthful. The service was great, very well organised. We felt very Covid safe.
B.
Very slow and poor service. The food was not as good as the last time. It's a shane

The food was delicious and the hospitality from staff was excellent. I really enjoyed myself.

Amazing service and food was devine would highly recommend

Good Food with some amazing wines & kids friendly
Keep it up 👍🏻👍🏻
C. E.
Nice food. Just a bit expensive.
W. L.
Food was delicious with great customer service. Very clean and covid precautions put in place.
L. S.
Fine and authentic Thai dining, with nice environment and excellent location, except that the "spicy" is the British spicy, i.e. sweet and sour and not spicy at all. Don't expect anything even close to the "spicy" you can have in Thailand.
g. y.
We had a great experience when we went, the service was quick and attentive. The Pad Thai was very good as well as the Drunken Noodles (they warn you it's spicy). Highly recommend the mango crepe for dessert, perfect after spicy foods. Overall excellent experience. They do say you should do a booking and the restaurant did fill up fast after 6pm.
H. H.
amazing food lovely service loved the cocktails. will be returning

A wonderful surprise after a long day of sight seeing. We wandered in here with a party of six and no reservation but fortunately we were early enough to score a table before they got busy. The decor is lovely, highlighted by the delightful live Thai musician playing their version of a dulcimer, with evident skill and grace. The food was fantastic. I realize my exposure to good Thai food is limited but everything our party ordered was delicious. The pad Thai was fresh and flavorful. The lamb curry was amazing and melted in your mouth. The tiger cried steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The aromatic duck appetizer was a little dry but the sauce and everything that went with it provided a lovely balance of sweet and savory. The sampler starter plate was the perfect way to taste a few different things. Everyone was envious of he who ordered the lamb chops, they were definitely the table favorite. For dessert, the coconut ice cream was light and not too sweet and the mango crepe was full of fruit. The staff was attentive and communicated well. For example, he asked if we wanted to wait to complete the starters before the entrees came out, which was very thoughtful because only some of us ordered starters and we were all very hungry! We made short work of the first course and the entree service was perfectly quick. It was a brilliant and unexpectedly delicious end to our day.
A. P.
Centrally located behind the National Gallery. Although it has some of the trappings of the Tourist-traps of the area, the service was good and the food was tasty.
My Thai friend gave it a thumbs up.
A tad on the pricey side, though.
Do not forget to ask for your food not to have any spices if you are not used to it, as otherwise it will mar your gastronomic experience.
Their mocktails are colourful and refreshing and their desserts seem to be homemade.
I'll definitely return.
F. C.
Really good! Nice meals, a little pricey though.
J. M.
Excellent service, a pre-show meal that had to be taken a bit quicker than would be nice but the food was delicious, even though I like a bit more spice than most. Mango sticky rice for desert was lovely too. Quite a treat compared to too many of the Thai-themed group restaurants that don't work.
M. B. I. a.
Good place and they have a few extras on the menu compared with some branches, not many though. Good food 🍲 and if they stopped putting so much sugar in everything (even the egg fried rice 🍚 has sugar) I'd probably give them 5 stars. I'd recommend the seafood generally, which is good quality.
M. S.
Loved the restaurant. Started off my meal with a cocktail and it’s probably the best strawberry daiquiri i’ve had, the server asked if i wanted it normal or frozen (slushy type) too which was nice. Then i had a starter platter which had things like chicken satay, prawn toast & spring rolls on it and that was bursting with flavour. I had the beef in coconut sauce for my main which i won’t rave about but it wasn’t down to how the food was cooked it just wasn’t really my cup of tea. Everything else was amazing though and i will definitely be coming back
B. O. P.
Been here with other 3 friends for a dinner just before Christmas. We have booked in advance but it seemed less busy so you could probably just walk in as well. We have starters and main courses and bottles of proseco. After that we could not fit in anything else. The meals are quite big so you could go just for the main or you can share a starter. The food it’s a bit pricey but well worth it. Imitates the Thai food very well. All the stuff is Thai as well which keeps the place pretty authentic. Absolutely amazing food so will definitely go there again.
P. D.
Good food, great service, great location.
O. R.
The golden curry chicken was overcooked and bland. Not at all what I expected
P. M.
Really nice building. Good menu options. We had grilled chicken, som tam, pad thai and prawn cakes. All good apart from the chicken, which was very dry and tasteless. Service seemed a little chaotic, table next to ours received their mains before they had their starters, we were brought a coffee we didn't order and our bill included a beer we didn't have. Staff were however friendly (and all seemed to be Thai).
A. M.
Tried this place on a recent trip to London with family. This particular branch is beautifully set. From the gorgeously exterior to the elegant interior. Food was good, and few complaints other than 'hot' really is HOT.
The thing that lets it down for me is the price! Our bill probably came to £40/ head for a meal that was perhaps 'average' for Thai restaurants i have been to.
k. e.
I’ve visited here three times without booking and always been seated. Absolutely delicious food, although there was a slightly long wait after ordering the last time I came (last week) but our waitress brought us complementary prawn crackers because of the wait which was great. Lovely ambience and nice decor. A little pricey for some dishes but it’s what you would expect in London, overall, a great experience and my go-to restaurant for pre-theatre meals.
C. A. D.
My friends and I had an excellent meal at Thai Square in central London. Having booked a table in advance online, we did not have to queue and were seated very centrally in the restaurant's ground floor dining area. The choice of starters and mains was exceptionally good - with all the classics (Pad Thai noodles, Sweet and Sour Prawns, etc.) and some innovative specialities (such as their spicy duck). We combined dishes from the "Silver Set Menu" and a selection of the vegetarian options and found all the choices to be flavoursome and generously portioned. Service was good, although there was an expectation (esp. at the w/e) that diners would vacate their table within two hours...so it did at times feel we were being rushed during our desserts and coffee time. On balance I would recommend the restaurant on both food quality and the good price of the food and the drinks.
J. W.
Good authentic Thai food. Great decor. I've been getting takeaway since covid and the food is always great.
M. R.
Food was lovely had the pre theatre menu really nice service was excellent too
P. S.
Awesome food. Beef with Coconut Sauce was my favorite. Prices reasonable and great service.
j. b.
Came here before seeing Ian Mckellen at theatre so booked for 5.30pm. Wasn't full when we went in but lower floor heaving when we left at 630pm. Servers seemed very keen for us to leave so much so that they started clearing our plates before everyone had finished - there were 4 of us. Delicious meal (my chicken red curry was perfect) but we all thought staff let it down. Friends are veggie and were pleased to see a whole 2 page veggie menu offered. NB ladies if you want to see what you look like in mirror in toilets take a torch-- really dark or maybe it was because almost Halloween 😱
C. G.
Great tasting food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended it.
D. G.
Nice place with a good classy and comfortable decor. My food was all good although expensive. I spent $90 on two glasses of wine, a thai ice tea, cup of soup, appetizer, and a curry with steamed rice. Everything was tasty. They are open late, which is excellent for visitors suffering from time zone disconnect. I asked if there was time for another glass of wine and the waitress said "of course!" but then her coworkers tried to rush me out one minute after it arrived so they could close. Overall still a great place to get Thai in London.
R. P.
Wholesome Thai food. Really nice and tasty.
J. M.
Cant fault them In any way! Lovely service and the food is always outstanding in this branch! I don’t like any of their other branches than the one on gay market. Beautiful authentic flavours of Thailand! Recommended
K. E.
Nice dining experience, only one floor open so will be better when buzzing with people. Food ok, probably would visit again.

The friendly staff welcomed us, and were attentive and very pleasant throughout the evening. We chose from the a la carte menu and were pleased with our choices. The food was well presented, and the dishes ranged in quality from very tasty to absolutely delicious We had a red wine to accompany our meal, and it was very good.
C. S.
Best meal and service we had in London over 5 days. Authentic Thai food with an extensive menu. Open late. Thai fine dining? I felt under dressed in casual attire.
E. W.
Fab place for food. We managed to spend a few hours here for lunch. Wonderful service, tasty food and great wine. Great for a special meal. Good range for vegetarians. Don't miss out on the cocktails!
A. B.
Good food which is reasonably priced for the area!
K. S. B.
I absolutely love this restaurant. A very relaxing atmosphere with lovely live classical Asian music which is so soothing. Lovely food & fab portion sizes. Good pricing, good seating. My fav restaurant..& I've been to many in London. P.S - what is the name of the instrument that is played live?
R. R.
Delicious food and beautifully decorated restaurant. We were sat upstairs which was very atmospheric. The curry was super tasty and the wine selection was great.
M. A.
We always go here for our usual night out with the family! Its very good!! There are many dishes to choose from.. When we go we order the whole menu lol.. I do feel sorry for my dad as its pricey and he ends up paying for it all.. Sometimes if your lucky you may even get to see some Thai dancing!
J. R.
Excellent food and wonderful waiters. I had my first truss thai meal with experienced friends. The food is spicy and warm but the mellow and subtle flavors rise to the fore when savored with the tea!
Great location and great friendly service would visit again
G. W.
Food is bomb!! My friend and I got the Pad See Ew and the Lamb Shank curry and wow !! We were full and happy! Service was good as well!! They were busy, but still amazing!!
A.
Beautiful restaurant, efficient service, delicious food.
H. A.
Me and my fiance had dinner at Thai Square last Saturday. We showed up without a reservation, but nevertheless we were seated almost immediately. The food here is excellent, if you like Thai food of course and the service by young elegant young Thai ladies was swift and impeccable. From now onwards this is my favourite restaurant in London.
V. P.
Food is great, location and resteraunt is great, looks really good. The staff were very accommodating for large groups, but tables have a limit for 2hrs. Drinks are good but you may fine cocktails a little strong. It's a busy resteraunt, so service can be a little slow when getting drinks to the tables, but food did arrive quickly, hot and tasted great.
L. H.
Popular, busy, well-appointed restaurant. Wide range of delicious Thai favourites and specialities. Vegetarians catered for and wine recommendations to accompany spicy dishes. Friendly staff.
C. W.
Always love the food here. Tables moved further apart for social distancing.. service always excellent too. Just not cheap but I guess you pay more for the location... Just of Trafalgar Square xx
C.
The place is nice, I was happy with the service. However the food is overpriced... I took my friend for her 21st birthday and went in early to drop in a birthday cake. The waiter told me there would be a £2 per head charge for the cake or if we all ordered the set menu- the sliver or gold menu there would be no charge- which is £26 or £30... there were around 12 people on my friend's birthday.. and why am I paying for something I've already paid for.. I was not happy at all... when I asked why was there a charge they said its cos they sell their own dessert... honestly??! ripping off money on someone's birthday! Its a birthday course there will be a cake.. I don't see a cake on the menu that I could order from otherwise I wouldn't have brought one
S. K.
The staff was very accommodating and wonderful.considering the time we went to restaurant. The food was well prepared and tasted great. The decor was beautiful. Overall, our experience was absolutely wonderful.
K. V.
Really nice taste tomyam I had.
D. S.
Good food and very aware of dietary requirements (vegetarian section on the menu, gluten containing items highlighted etc). Unfortunately the management haven't kept up with maintaining the place and it's starting to look a little tired and tatty. Prices are fairly high, expect £30 per person including a drink for reasonable lunch-sized portions
M. T.
Excellent location, polite efficient waiting staff - we enjoyed a post matinee meal with children. Only 3 stars because - despite the tasty food , it was by no means the best Thai food in central London and (even considering it is right next to Trafalgar Square) the prices & presumptuous included service charge do not represent reasonable value for money.
R. P.
very good Thai Restaurant with delicious Thai Food!! the waitresses are very friendly and the atmosphere is also good. the toiletts are clean, good decorated and because of the Music and the Food you've got, you'll feel like in Thailand. best Thai Restaurant i've ever ate!! (but it's a Little bit expensive for those quite small meals you order).
E. C.
Exceptional food, very friendly employees, consistently excellent atmosphere. They charge convenient pricing and the food quality is very good. Keep up the good work.
J. G.
Been to this restaurant twice some time ago, and I have not been back since. The food is good, but it is all ruined by the service, or lack thereof. Had to wait 15-20 mins before my order was even taken, and this was not at a particularly busy time. I would say they make the majority of their money from tourists who don't know better as it is a very good looking restaurant so attracts people to go in. The food is over-priced, but I suppose you can expect no less for the location it's in.
T. M.
Very good food and friendly staff.
J. S.
Amazing food they have a shared starter plate which is so nice and for mains I had lamb shank it was so delicious this is no my best restaurant. I also love the candle light and in the evening there is a lady who plays a musical instrument which sounds lovely. Great place great staff great food
B. S.
Reasonable food - mainly fried. Not very chilli hot, so if you like chilli hot food ask for prik nam pla (cut up chilli in fish sauce). Very hot and dark upstairs, difficult to read the menu due to poor light. Lots of artificial cherry blossom (strange since no cherry blossom in Thailand as far as I'm aware😁) on the ceiling, so not ideal if you're tall! Generally good atmosphere and fairly attentive staff.
T. E.
Not as good as other brunches. The waitress kept forgetting what we were asking for. She was very abrupt and, quite indifferent. She mislead us on one of the dishes, we found it out only when we got out of the restaurants and checked the menu again :/.
Done was good as usually.
B. M.
The staff are very lovely. The food is tasty and big portions. Also the Thai decor and artwork is really beautiful.
L. A.
Wow just wow plus the thai curries 🌟🌟🌟
A. K.
Food and place are great but not so impressed with the service. My client and I ate here at lunchtime and had to be rushed to leave as they had booked a party. It was not a pleasurable and calming experience to be pressured to finish your drinks.
M. R.
Came here with my partner, after a small issue initially with the booking we was sat and enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The service was very good and the food amazing. we had a set menu so the value for money was also very good.
R. D.
Great food and amazing ambience!
E. B.
Nice restaurant with and an enjoyable atmosphere. I went on a Saturday night and there was a musician playing live what I think was a traditional instrument. I recommend it if you are in Trafalgar Square, but I would say there are better places in London where to try Thai food.
K. R.
Without a doubt the best Thai Square in London! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is just wonderful! I love Thai food, so am not one to offer praise very easily, as there are so many places serving it now... But this place deserves it!
F. D.
Restaurant is very nice. Food is amazing
c. d.
Nice place, friendly staff and prompt service. The food, in my opinion was average, not bad but it won't blow your mind. But overall, a pleasant evening.
E. S.
Usually great service but recently I had a dish that was too spicy (and I love spice but this was inedible) and they ended up guilt tripping me about asking to switch it. Very unprofessional.
N. S.
Good location. Good service. Good ambiance. Good food. Whilst maybe not the most “authentic” Thai restaurant the food and service was great. Will definitely be returning.
O. T.
Great location, fairly good Thai dishes - improvements can be made, tastefulness wise. Overall experience 6/10.
S. C.
This is a great place to go that has a nice balance between good food, price and atmosphere. The menu selection is wide even having a dedicated section just for vegetarians, with something to suit most taste buds.
Certainly worth a visit
E. G.
Have been there twice. Good food each time but chose judiciously. Some things are more miss than hit. Pricey due to location but good wine served in lovely glassware.
t.
Having lived in Bangkok this is vastly overpriced mid-range Thai food. Reason is that the menu caters for the naive, sterile British perception of what Thai food should be and it's located in the tourism honeytrap of Trafalgar Square with cliched Thai decor. You can get same taste quality from any London Thai restaurant...but all those are bland compared to any street vendor in Bangkok, tbh. They need to get some genuinely spicy Thai dishes on the menu.
J. W.
Great taste and presentation
My mum loves her Thia food, really enjoyed ourselves the staff were very polite and welcoming my mum wanted me to mention Dylan and the tall girl with pretty hair for the fast brilliant service.
S.
I celebrated my 40th birthday at thai square (a party of 17). From the moment we were seated to the staff and the food, all were top notch. The staff were attentive and accomodating the decor was bright and clean. The food was delicous esp the sweet and sour prawns. Will definetly be back.
T. D.
Decent food and service. Lots of light in yhe dining room
M. R.
Delicious cuisine. Staff are very friendly.
S. H.
I do like Thai food but I go here for their crepes! Absolutely amazing, the French need to learn a few from these guys as they mastered the art of crepe making!
S. H.
Food and Service very good. A little pricey.
S. P.
Pretty good Thai food, service staff are all Thai so in a way you'd have confidence the food will be authentically Thai. 3 stars only because the tom yam soup was quite bland, could've amped up the sour and spicy factor!
C.
Very delicious food. Generous portions. Great service. I had a wonderful experience.
T. B.
My love for spicy foods would never end and is actually tripled since I found this amazing place. The food is delicious, the desserts are equally mind blowing.
D. H.
Good Thai food well located. Tables well spaced so you are not on top of each other. Service impersonal, and a little rushed. However for quality Thai food there is not much alternative in that area.
d. m.
This is an amazing place to sample a taste of Thai cuisine. Wonderful atmosphere and very helpful and curtious staff. And of course AMAZING food x
R. N.
Really nice Thai food. Our favourite Thai packed up and went back to Thailand then we found this place. Spot on and good value for money considering where it is.
C. S.
We came for a set menu option and it was absolutely delicious, great service and wonderfully decorated restaurant displaying Thai elegance. Will be returning soon.
A. Y.
Food was good, took time to arrive. People in our party received their food after others in our group. Asking for water can also prove difficult - asked 4 seperate waiters.
A.
Quick service and tasty as usual.
w. m.
Amazing Thai food and so close to the Theater
P. K.
Nice restaurant- friendly staff, good service and great food.
N. C.
One of the best Thai restaurants I eaten in. Pleasantly surprised by the prices too. So much better than the fast food options that surround this little gem.
A. A.
Really nice looking restaurant however the tables are placed too close together which means you can end up being sat very close to another group.
s. f.
Went here for dinner tonight without booking a table , they kindly gave us 1 straight away , , kind staff , food was amazing and service was good too apart from miserable waitresses and faces like wet fish and up until the point when i asked for my bill and it was £62 which is quite good for the quality and quantity cant argue with that , so i placed £70 down and the woman never brought back the change which i had to ask for and she brought me 65p i said thats wrong she brought over another woman and this woman said i gave her £65 which is a big insult under the circumstances of the other woman thinking she can keep the change after i paid almost £10 for service charge anyway . Sorry but its up to me if i want to tip and i would have if this didnt occur . Watch your money when you go here .
A. W.
Not tried Thai food before (yes really) and was pleasantly surprised by just how good this place was, the mixed starter was excellent and the green curry very tasty with some heat behind it.
J. A.
Amazing Thai food in the middle of London. I can almost say that it was as good as some of my good meals in Bangkok. Very recommended!!!
S. S. (.
One of the Thai square branch restaurant. Serve Thai cuisine and at night on Friday they have an event there where lot of Asian people come to party. The club is a little small.

V. J.
Very good food. Service is always good and staff are helpful. Like the person playing a traditional Thai instrument, adds a touch of class.
T. P.
Had the lunch special at this place. The flavor is authentic and the service is on point. I can see why this place is crowded all the time.
F. F. U.
Unique location, discreet and smart service, great fresh food, downstairs club being renovated, looking forward to the update.
R. F.

Taste of Tai-good in London. Nice.
S. Z.
Friendly waiters and waitresses. Nice atmosphere. Food was so so though, salty soup, blend taste of vegetable dishes. Small portions.
T. K.
I can only concur with all of the complimentary comments which precede this review. My friend and I had an excellent introduction to Thai food, the surroundings and staff were also excellent.
m. g.
Great food and cocktails, not too expensive for London.. lovely Songkran celebration with Thai dancing and music.
R. C.
Great food, friendly staff, quick service. The only reason my review isn't 5 stars is because it was so expensive.
E. S.
One of my favourite Tai Square. It's much better then any other of this chain. Great building, atmosphere and food is spectacular
