Reviews of Thai Tho Wimbledon
Z.
The place is really cosy, and good costumer service. Food is good but drinks are way too expensive (£3.50 just for green tea, everything else £5 a glass) and they also charge a service fee so the price is around £40 for two people no matter what you buy. It would be better if it is was slightly cheaper, but if you have plenty of money and you like thai food, definitely recommended.

Very chuffed to have been offered a table on a Thursday evening …. By asking..maybe just maybe normality returning. Prawn 🍤 Tempura (hot) and Duck Spring rolls excellent. Mains of Red Curry prawn and Pad Met Muang beef spot on. Very relaxing atmosphere, tennis 🎾 memorabilia, friendly and attentive staff. Wimbledon prices, maybe 🤔. Recommend 👍
G. C.
Not bad. The Thai iced tea is very expensive though but the food was fine. Their lunch set is fair priced.
B. P.
Tasty food, and reasonably priced lunch menu. Limited and not clearly marked vegan/gluten free options etc. That said staff seemed clued up on what was ok. Place was reasonably busy on a Saturday lunch time, but still had some tables available for walk in.
J. W.
Friendly staff, good service, delicious food, relaxed ambiance (one suggestion though, more non-fried options in fish section of menu would be great). Loved the tennis pictures too; a nice feature given the restaurant is in Wimbledon of couse... My group of 3 dined on a Saturday; can't say about other days, but pre-booking is highly recommended. Thai Tho, keep my plates warm, cause I will certainly be visiting again soon.

Best Thai food in Wimbledon. Their tempura squid is amazing. They also handled our birthday table of 12 really well! Friendly and efficient. Will always return!

Polite staff, Generous portions and well presented food. A warm clean place for a lovely weekend meal.

I went for a family celebration; the food was lovely, the team were delightful and we were given time to enjoy the meal, conversation and not be rushed out after 2 hours. Thank you!
B. U.
Portions a bit small but very tasty. Could have done with a bit more atmosphere at lunchtime. Never liked added service charges. Tipping is a pleasure not a given. Good food.

Several thanks to our new favourite Thai Restaurant in Wimbledon village for looking after all 15 of us on Friday 19th Nov. The food and hospitality and general warmth from the management and staff were awesome. Thank you so much for making our evening a memorable one.

Really lovely Thai restaurant and great service. Highly recommend the Tom Yum Kung, Pad Thai and Som Tam salad. Will be back again 🙂

Authentic Thai food served in a cozy atmosphere. Great spices and seasoning! Very friendly service. Not too hard on the wallet either :)

I went there last week with a friend for dinner. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent price. The owner Adrian was very personable, taking time to interact with all the customers. The food was delicious and the price was very reasonable.

Probably not the best thai I have ever tried. But they have good green curry and good quantity. The service is good and definetely it's a place for tennis lovers. A bit more expensive than expected. For me it's a 3,5 of 5.

A very busy restaurant with friendly staff. Large selection on the menu and we all were very pleased with the dishes which we chose. The selection of wines on offer is also good and not over priced. A lovely local restaurant that we should think of and go to more often than we do.
E. G.
The place is very cozy and food is among the best Thai around Wimbledon area.
Nice feeling of a proper restaurant.

Fantastic meal, really enjoyed our experience here. Starters and mains were fantastic. Was served by Peer, and his customer service was incredible. Would highly recommend to anyone seeing a Thai indulgence in Wimbledon! Thank you and see you again soon! Sabetha & Bran

The staff were friendly great service fantastic food and to top it all off an excellent Malbec was served

Thai Tho Wimbledon is probably the most unique Thai restaurant in Wimbledon because it is Tennis themed so you won't find any other Thai restaurant like it.
Being in Wimbledon, you've got to experience the tennis vibes!
J. F.
Very good soft shell crab. Quick service and a good menu selection. Food always good. My preferred Thai of the village.

Just had a delivery. Red Duck curry, red veg curry, coconut rice. All perfect, really fresh, tasty, loved the thai basil. I'm really fussy and hard to impress but this was fab - i know what i'm talking about too - i lived all over thailand for 9 months. Eat here, you'll love it. Cheers guys...

Perfect on my return to "SANDBOX"
N. P.
Very good red curry at this place! Would definitely recommend!
F. K.
Was not expecting Thai curry that actually tastes fresh, not at all. The same for the chicken satay - not a trace of peanut butter (the usual shortcut to satay sauce) but real, homecooked food. As takeaways go its incredible. Will definitely have to investigate this place once again.
J. P.
Very kind staff and kids friendly restaurant plates were absolutely perfect and delicious
If you want to have great time don't mind to go
M. F.
Food is really tasty and good quality. Atmosphere is great, friendly service. Highly recommended

Delicious food had a wonderful time for my friends birthday and they were very accommodating for us with a large table and high chairs for the children. My Thai friend said they made a few comments about us in Thai that I was unable to understand, which I think is bad manners. Once we settled we enjoyed ourselves and the staff were very playful with the kids, the food was the high end of affordable and the drinks were a little over priced. They also accidentally charged us for an extra steamed rice as they forgot to bring one out in the first place and we didn’t notice it on the bill till after we left, but all in all I think it deserves 4* and I would go again!

We went to Thai Tho in Wimbledon during the Wimbledon tennis tournament. It was very busy in the afternoon but still managed to get a table. The service was very good with friendly staff. I ordered Duck Curry and rice which was spot on! washed down with a few Chang beers! overall... we were very happy with the service. and the price was reasonable. 5+
J. C.
We went for the set menu at lunch time and the food was excellent quality and fantastic value for money. I would definitely recommend this place. The soft drinks were a little dear but I guess they have to make money somewhere. Staff were friendly and efficient and the decor nice with tennis memorabilia mixed in nicely with the Thai aesthetic.
D. G.
The food is superb. The main courses are very large - 1 dish with rice is plenty. If you order noodles also - make sure you have someone to share them with. Good service. The drinks are a bit pricey though.

It was the first restaurant my wife and I tried when we moved into the village and loved it. It has since become even more special to us because we had our wedding reception there. They went above and beyond to make our day special. The restaurant had nothing but positive feedback from our guests. The customer service is always excellent and the food great quality. I thoroughly recommend the red curry and the lemon sorbet!
a. z.
the food was amazing, and so much of it! I couldn't possibly pick a favourite dish as everything was so delicious and authentic. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming... a real Thai food in the middle of Wimbledon!! Would highly recommend a visit.... if it is your first, it certainly will not be your last!

Give yourself a minimum of one and hours here for you to enjoy your meal and take in the uniqueness of what's on offer here.
Many a fine Thai Teak carving adore the walls, statues with lighted candles are dotted across the two dining complex areas, orchards bring forth the gardens of the far east while your waitress is every attentive
They do a good lunch time set menu budget for a round £15 each for two courses with a small drink
The only downsides to my first time here were the slow service, coming from the kitchen
Just under 20 minutes to bring the first course up.
If you have problems with hips and knees as I do, there are 13 steps down for the restrooms, I did not see a restroom on ground leave.,
I liked the place and hope to return.
S. P.
Great food. Beef panag excellent, chicken flat nooodle dish best we've had. All delivered in 30 mins. 2nd time so this is a really consistent restaurant. Cheers Tho
C. S.
I shared quite a few choices from the menu last night, and couldn't say a bad word about any of them. I can say I've already told 7 people about Tai Tho since!
J. D.
Served by people who know their food. You will often find a celebrity eating here from time to time and excellent value for money.
Great atmosphere and wonderful mouthwatering flavours of the east.
Feeling brave? Try the Duran desert!
J. E.
Great tasty food, nothing earth shattering though.
Downstairs to the Lavatories is very grubby and dated with Chang Beer boxes stacked by the bottom of the stairs and the Prawn Crackers are stored in Homebase Storage Boxes clearly viewable on your way down. Not a criticism of the storage method, just it looks tacky.
We also found it expensive. Starters push the price up and are individually almost as much as a main..
Had a nice meal don't get me wrong, but it was a Tuesday so not busy.
S. H.
Great place with good quality food and importantly good service.
n.
Super tasty food. Shared 3 starters and one Pad Thai between 2 people. Highly recommend the crab cakes - bite sized but sensational.
J. B.
Service was friendly but a little slow. The food was ok - I'd recommend the tempura squid to start - but the mains were average (my beef penang was a little cold). Given the quality of the food the prices were inflated (£66 for a meal for 2 with no wine) and the service charge of 12.5% was over the top.
In summary, this is an average Thai restaurant - not good, not bad.
G. R.
Weeping tiger steak was very chewy and prawns were not cleaned. It is nice enough but there are better Thai options in the area. Overall, I didn't think it was great value and was quite disappointed.
C. N.
Had booked this place for dinner as my partners family was here visiting. Starters was ok but the mains wasn't that great. Lacked a lot of flavour which is a real shame as their other branches does good food. Maybe they had a bad day but without consistency it's hard to retain customers.
F. P. P. S.
Very nice atmosphere, nice staff. The food was amazing. It was my first time at a thai restaurant and I will definitely come back.
S. K.
If i'm honest this place is very pricey for what you get - the food is ok (I personally think there are nicer in Wimbledon), the staff are friendly (but most Thai people are) - I have had an issue with food taking a while / coming on cold plates when the restaurant is busy.
If you want good value, nice tasting Thai food go down the hill to Wimbledon town and you'll find it. If you're a village lovey and the though of dining with commoners offends you and daddy's trust fund is paying - you're in the right place :)
D. H.
The staff are pleasant (if a bit rushed), the decor is all very decent, and the food tastes quite good - but the portions are just too small! And the bill is just a tad high, for what is on offer.
Wouldn't rule out returning, but as others have stated there are better Thai restaurants in the near vicinity.
P. H.
Really delicious food. Tasted freshly made from a range of ingredients you would struggle to find in a typical UK supermarket. However, service was friendly but very slow at every stage.
S. H.
Lovely food brilliant service
E. P.
Really yummy Thai food. Much better than the typical chain restaurants! Apparently Federer, Nadal, Murray etc have all dined here - Pad Thai was really good.
T. T.
Nice meal and venue, but they literally rush you out as soon as your plate empties
I. B.
Lovely atmosphere and tasty food. Fast service and very kind staff. Nice Thai restaurant in Wimbledon Village
K. O.
I was there last nice, what a wonderful welcome!!
And the food is just amazing!
G. S.
This is my local restaurant and I absolutely adore it. They have a brilliant lunch time deal, the food is magnificent, the service is fantastic and I find the staff lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.
X. Y.
The food is very nice and authetic. I also enjoy the tennis decor. I have been there for quite a few times and the food serves very quick and the waitor/waitress are polite.

Top restaurant with a great menu. Lovely staff
E. F.
My favorite Thai Restaurant in London. The pad Thai is gorgeous and everything else I have tried and the manager is always super kind.
T. M.
The food is good as well as the service. I urge everyone however to not pay the service charge and tip the waiter instead as the service charge does not go to them. (Friend of someone who works there)
P. R.
Great service and recipes I could not find in other restaurants in the country.
Excellent ingredient quality.
