Reviews of The Angel Curry Centre
S. A.
Had a great time here, the food tasted fresh, the grills came sizzling and the curries had great flavour. The waiters were really attentive to our needs, we were a big group of 20 but the staff managed the service really well. Will be coming back again
M. S.
Classic curry house. Some nice off menu options if you are looking for something extra spicy. Love the BYOB option.

Fantastic find by my Brother inlaw, great food and service, it is a bit cramped inside but 🤷♂️

Had the best evening with my family last night at Angel Curry Centre the food and service by all staff was very friendly and fast, I would defo recommend and visit again myself
M. H.
Excellent food and service, and not at all expensive.

Thankyou for a superb meal...wonderful flavours and beautifully cooked. I will definitely return next time I am in the area.

This place is a little gem in Angel.
The food was delicious, the personnel very attentive and generous, and welcome to accommodate every request. I absolutely loved the whole experience and will definitely add it to the list of my favourites places.

The best Indian food in London! Great service. We miss you from Chile.

Me and my family have been ordering from here for the last 3 years and we have a Indian take away every Friday with out fail I have to say these guys have the best selection of dishes and we've never once had an issue I would recommend them to anyone there great.
N. R.
Lovely staff, comfortable friendly atmosphere and fantastic food. Restuarant is BYOB and very accommodating. Food is flavoursome and not oily at all. Have had takeaway from here before and they do not compromise on quality then either. Thank you for a wonderful meal! See you again soon.

Amazing homestyle cooked curries and other dishes. They also have a prompt delivery service. Having been to many other places in London this is our go-to curry house. You can also bring your own alcohol and they don't rip you off with an automatic service charge. Try the Kochi Lamb or Chicken Muli, you won't be disappointed.
R. R.
Wonderful Lamb Saag, Tarkla Dhal and Pilau Rice. Lamb beautifully soft. Tarkla Dhal rich with roasted garlic flavour. I'll be back soon ❤️

We ordered take away via Just Eat. We usually place order from another curry place in Angel but were glad that we made the move. Angel Curry Centre have the best curries and most tender, perfectly cooked Tandoori chicken grills. We liked the fact that the curries are tasty but not oily and as a result we do not feel as guilty. Which is a good thing because it is going to become a weekly treat. Too delicious not to.
J. R.
I had one of the best curries I've had in a long time at this place on a Monday evening. Good service and staff were very nice. They don't serve alcohol but allow you to bring your own and there is a small supermarket opposite it. Good value for money too.
M. H.
Treat yourself to some really good Indian food and come to this place. We had some really good chicken tikka masala and bhaji onions. The service was fast and excellent with a waiter that always had a smile. You can also bring your own alcohol if you wish.

I found this piece by accident about a year ago on a business trip. It is an absolute hidden gem! I come here everyone in in London. I honestly can't eat Indian food on the states anymore because this place is so good. Super cheap, super cool, honestly one of my favorite go-to places in the city. Favorites are mushroom bahji, and anything jalfresi. It's def with a visit!
D. R.
It's a BYO curry house but not standard. These guys make actual curries and interesting ones too. They don't make a long menu from a handful of sauces. They make dishes that are interesting, unusual and delicious. The setting is very basic and can lack atmosphere if it is quiet, but the staff are very accommodating. I would recommend for the food alone. I have also had food delivered from here, which has been equally good.
K. L.
I absolutely loved their food, outstanding chicken tikka, prawns starter and naan bread, the best in the neighborhood! I ordered on Uber eats with home delivery and the despite the delay in the order they restaurant behaved very well and rewarded me with some extras! I wish all restaurants had such an incredible culture and tasty food, the place is also very reasonable in terms of prices. I definitely recommend. Good quality for good price :)

Food tasted great, but the service left a lot to be desired. Waiter was impolite and seemed as if he didnt want to be there. Restaurant was empty, yet it took forever to get waters filled, get orders taken, and get the check brought out. Politeness increased drastically when it came time for paying the bill and giving a tip though.

We were a group of 8 for dinner, booked over the phone and they were very friendly and flexible, allowing me to change time of booking without any issues, and they called to confirm my booking a few days before.
Dips & papadums and other starters were impressive and mains were the hit. Perfect level of chilli and great flavours. Naan was top notch, a must have.
Service was efficient and friendly, overall we were extremely well looked after.
Highly recommend as a very solid local restaurant. I will be back for sure.

A good Indian restaurant within walking distance of both Kings Cross & Angel. A traditional menu (Rogan, Jalfrezi etc), and they aren't licenced, so you can bring your own drinks.
The food is good (although the lamb could have been more tender), and it's very good value - popadoms, samosas, bhajis, curry and rice for two cost just a bit over £30
D. G.
Amazing awesome curry! It was all so fresh and flavorful I've never had anything like it. The chicken tikka masala had a smokey distinct flavor in the meat that combined very well with the curry. The lamb saag and nan were delivered still sizzling on hot plates. There coconut rice was just the right flavor strength and texture. And it was very inexpensive for what I got. Fed two for less than £ 30 total. Warning: bring your own alcohol.
R. V.
It's my favourite curry of the area! I can't recommend something on the menu as every time I take something new and every time it is very good.
Edit: after my 6th time one of the waiter was super rude with my friends and I. I honestly don't know why but this time he was so awful. And sadly I probably won't go back because of it. Good food awful service.
J. N.
Best Indian in London. I'm reading some reviews below and they have no idea. Do you want fine dining or excellent food at a great price? Chicken Tikka Masala here is honestly next level. You will understand once you try it
B. M.
Having had the great fortune of having plenty of home cooked Indian, Pakistani, Bahraini, etc, etc food before, I am certain this is the 2nd best Indian restaurant I have eaten at in the UK. It's our favorite Indian/curry restaurant, and we go there frequently now, especially because the food doesn't have a layer of greasy oil on top. They have so many good dishes, it's a bit of decision when we go, so make sure you mix up what you eat if you go several times.
The menu has a great variety, but not ridiculous like some Brick Lane restaurants. We took a picky eater there on one occasion, the staff didn't hesitate to offer to swap and combine ingredients, spice level to deliver what they wanted to eat.
The staff are exceptionally kind, friendly and attentive. Make sure to book for Thursday to Saturday or you will be disappointed!
Oh yes, this is BYOB... and such delicious food!
By the way, forget Brick Lane, this restaurant, like most, is better than Brick Lane restaurants.
S. C.
Fantastic curry and very reasonable prices. It's also BYO so you can bring your own tipple without being charged rip-off restaurant prices. A lovely hidden gem!
E. B.
My family were always in here and I never understood why until I went! I am now a regular, if it's takeaways to eating in and bringing your own drink. Great food, staff are friendly. Recommend the chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken and peshwari naan. They taste amazing! Great prices too! Love this place
S. R.
Food was great! Unfortunately the reception wasn't great from the initial waiter. A younger guy came and was really nice which made up for it.
S. W.
My family and I have been visiting this place every week for ten years. Can't go wrong. The byob keeps the bill low, the food is delicious and well spiced. Very friendly staff.
J. S.
I've been using ACC for decades now, I never do reviews, but they need credit when credit is due. Best Ruby in Islington. Another lovely meal. Prawn puree (the bread bit) was quite fluffy for a takeaway dish and the prawn part of the puree was lovely. Mains are never greasy. Pilau rice spot on. Well done Saeed and co and thank you as I know we are eating decent food. John and Kelly, Dame Street
J.
Lovely food for exceptional value with bring your own beer! Great, cosy place with friendly, attentive service.
W. S.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and food but most importantly the service as the food came out on time and was presented to me very well. I would highly recommend!
R. H.

Really happy we found this place online. Very tasty and with a wide range of curry dishes. We finally have a very good curry house to order a delivery from! 😀
D. B.
Great find close to where we were staying for our London visit. Absolutely delicious and wide enough variety for the whole family (vegetarian, kid-friendly, etc.) Would recommend and will return on our next visit.
T. E.
Probably the best Ruby Murray.
We come all the way down from Cambridge to go here on a regular basis.
Very reasonable prices.
You'll have to buy your alcohol down the road at Waitrose.
D. R.
Quite expensive, not particularly big portions. Food was good, but only an ordinary nice curry, not worth the price.
Restaurant is tiny, no good for big groups.

There's nothing like the taste of India.
It's like localized kimchi stew
It doesn't taste like India, it's British localized.
