Blue legume is one of our favourites in the neighborhood. Food is good and brunch time is recommended. Service us great and atmosphere is very cosy. We go there almost every weekend for a little bite. The food can be a bit or a miss.. which is a little bit disappointing because you would want the consistency and the quality to be always the same. However, still one of our favourites. Great prices, the decor is very nice and the staff is super friendly.

The food is fantastic and the restaurant staff are so accommodating. I've been here twice now with a pram and they made sure we had enough space and felt comfortable dining out with a newborn.

The food here isn't bad, but far from anything special. The interior decor is quite nice, and the outdoor seating is nice on a sunny day. Prices are a little high for my liking but palatable, but what let's this place down the most is the service. It was slow, unfriendly and I'm fairly certain are waitor didn't speak English which meant lots of our order was wrong. I wouldn't be in a rush to return, there are much better finds on this street.

What a pleasant establishment, stopped here late evening on the way home, to have a drink. The bartender was incredibly professional and appreciated his well mixed drinks, The atmosphere was set by really good music, played loud enough so you can have a conversation. Would highly recommend this place, they seem to deserve people's businesses.

Just popped in here for a quick half pint and smoothie (and olives) and we're already sad we didn't come here for a proper meal. This place is so cute! Music is a super feel-good mix, the staff are so sweet and attentive and the little food/drink we had was awesome. A healthy smoothie that legit tasted like sorbet and the fattest, juiciest lemony olives. We'll be back!

This is my second time here. It’s really been remodelled from what it used to look like. Our drinks were made pretty quickly and well. It did take a while to order food however, the food made up for that. They present their food really well and it’s very tasty. Last time I had smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs and it came with salad. That was amazing! Today I had a full English breakfast which you can swap out items and add extras. Wish it had come with another sausage and another piece of bacon but overall was perfect brunch. I’d highly recommend going here

Went there for breakfast yesterday and loved the lively atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was tasty and well presented. My only negative was that I had the big breakfast and only had one sausage. It may sound a bit greedy on my part but I do love them and it's the first time that I have been for breakfast or brunch and only got one. I like to be honest always because I love and appreciate food and I do recognise that it takes a special chef to create a storm in the kitchen. Overall a good breakfast and definitely going again.

A humble little restaurant by day and a charming romantic cafe by evening. The menu does not appear to be that exciting, but do not be fooled - the food is exceptional. Expect all your dishes to have a slight Mediterranean twist. The staff are quick to serve and polite. Love this place.

Good value grub, usually tasty and always a good service. On my last visit on 20th Dec, the chicken schnitzel was overcooked, tough and disappointing. The monk fish was better, although still a tad overcooked. The Calamari was still the same amazing deep fried rings, possibly the best in the area.

We had so many brunches there ! They all were great ! :-) The pancakes are good, the eggs with hashbrowns too. So are the juices and the hot drinks ! Service is really nice too. Restaurant is located on Upper Street, juste in front of the City Hall. They also take booking even on week-ends so that's perfect :-)

The food was good. My only complaint was that I'd requested two highchairs with our reservation and it was only after I'd arrived they told us they don't allow you to reserve the highchairs. I had called ahead to confirm so felt like they could have communicated this better.

Nice atmoshere. Rather pricey. Cheapest wine was around £18 a bottle. Background music was just right. I had penne pasta with chicken and sauce. It was tasty and filled me up and the wine was good. My date had mussels, bread and a cup of tea. She seemed happy with that. A good place to take a woman on a date. Our bill came to £40 but you could easily spend a lot more.

Came here today, I live locally hence I want to give a review. First time here have heard great things about the food and have to say the food was very nice. Service however is woeful and chaotic. As soon as more than five people come in at once it is like a war zone, staff shouting at each other, moving here, there and everywhere. They forgot about my order, gave it to me 10 minutes after my partner had eaten. It was nice but definitely not worth the extra wait. After, I came down to the till to pay and literally get out because the atmosphere was tense with the influx of people; I waited at the till for three further minutes while staff pointed out orders and gave out to each other in front of the whole cafe and more importantly in front of a queue of people wanting to pay. I might give it another go on an off peak day at a time when nobody is on Upper Street otherwise I will stay well away.

My favourite brunch place in Islington by a mile. Portions are generous (if you're hungry I highly recommend the 'Hash brown breakfast') and you can book a table if you're planning on going at a busy time and don't want to have to wait. The only issue I've had repeatedly is that drinks can take a while to arrive after your order them so get that order in fast!

I have been craving and being unable to procure an Eggs Benedict (after traveling virtually every weekend or being severely hampered by the activities of the night before) for weeks and weeks until I finally woke up bright and early and trotted along the Stoke Newington Church Street to indulge in a salmon Benny. Excellent food, excellent coffee, no arguments there. I didn't like having to order at the counter, though. Another major annoying thing - which affects their service rating - is that they take cash only on weekends. COME ON NOW.
