Reviews of The Botanist Sloane Square
N. M.
Cute brunch spot with good food and decent service - the bread with garlic butter, the salmon tartare and the salads were delicious (although I’d skip the chocolate cheesecake). Service was a little slow (despite the restaurant not being at capacity) but other than that, it was a lovely brunch!
A. T.
Been to The Botanist after a while. The service was good but i didn’t like the new salt and pepper calamari. The one that was served before was way better and i normally order a few portions just for myself. I ordered only one this time. I would like to have the other calamari back. Overall it was nice as usual
B. P.
100/10 BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH. The food is incredible, the service unbelievable and the interior so beautiful. I'm so happy we chose this place to end the week, but honestly it's a great option any day!
E. W.
The absolute best experience possible. This restaurant run by Olivier is exceptional and we are so grateful for the brilliant service that was given to us to make my birthday so special. Salvin one of our incredible waiters worked so hard to make sure our night was special and we were so impressed - thank you to all Involved for a truly fabulous experience
J. R.
Excellent pre-Christmas bottomless brunch with varied food and drinks menu. Maitre d unwelcoming and rude but waiter was both attentive and good-natured and we were allowed plenty of time.
J. S.
I am big fan of Cindy Crawford , well i have to try shes husband Tequila CASAMIGOS Rande Gerber with George Clooney maded. Love it also atmosfer is incredible ✌

We stopped in here for drinks as a nightcap. The first drinks were fine and served by a good barman. However after that we couldn’t get served again. After 15 minutes of being ignored we decided to not bother and walked out. Agree with other people when they say that it’s pretentious. Which is a shame as it seemed a nice bar.
B. L.
Great place to drink, smooth and relaxed atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. One of the bartenders Boris made me a special gin based cocktail which was elegant, smooth on the pallet with a violet twist. Prefect for Valentine’s Day.
L. C.
Lovely experience..Great food but even more importantly, the staff are wonderful. My family loved Mohammed, our principal waiter - charming, funny and an asset to any business. Thank you.
Hopefully, we will be back...
O. I.
Food was decent but not fantastic for the price. Generally very busy here
P. C.
Booked for 2 people for dinner at 10. We arrived at 10 and after a bit if faffing around we were told that the kitchen closed at 9:30. I've now read another review on Google maps of a similar experience. They should not take dinner bookings for times when they are not serving food. May be perfectly OK, but we had a bad experience as nowhere else in the area is open after 10.

We have been to the Botanist on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch.
It was full of neighborhood locals, cool tourists and friends gathering after a typical summer Sunday afternoon hang out.
The staff were friendly, attentive and courteous.
Food wonderfully presented and really tasty.
Prices: for the location right on lively Sloane Square, London and quality of cuisine is not bad.
Our social waiter was the coolest. Wondeful person, elegant but extremely friendly, I am someone who loves to socialize with anyone nice around me.. Vladimir made our Sunday lunch a fun cool one.
The Tartar was delicious with a touch of eatable flower.
Cocktails were not bad either.

The decor here is luxurious and lavish, the service is excellent and the drinks are really excellent. The food is mostly good, and for brunch there was a great selection. It's expensive compared to most other places in London, but you're paying for the quality, service and surroundings. Overall I would recommend it, but be prepared to pay upwards of £40 for brunch and a cocktail
J. C.
Trendy, popular spot located in Sloane Square. Despite the buzzing atmosphere we didn’t have to wait long for a table. The beef tartare seems to be a favourite. A bit too seasoned for my taste, but I can see how they make raw beef appealing to a wider audience. We recommend it.
J. F.
OK for a quick drink after shopping/gallery or pre-theatre. Crowded and noisy, particularly with the increase in music volume at 6.30pm. Initially enthusiastic service hampered by slow delivery (by the bar) of a second drink order. We had to leave before it reached us. Therefore we were unable to judge the overall quality of the drinks.

I’ve been going back to the Botanist ever couple of months now for years and it’s honestly my favourite brunch spot.
The menu is fantastic, the staff are amazing and the food is divine. Bottomless brunch is excellent.
I. R.
Great meal relaxcd atmosphere. I enjoyed my 2 hours sitting back watching the chilled patrons enjoy their Friday night
O. K.
This was my first visit at the Botanist and I would definitely revisit.
We had a range of food and it is fair to say some was better than others. Overall the quality of the food, both in presentation and taste, was amazing.
The tuna tartar starter was delicious, you could tell it was quality fish. Whilst the octopus was presented magnificently, it seemed to lack taste (although the sauce was nice). However It may have been intended to have subtle tastes - it was okay.
The main dishes were scrumptious, with praise all round. The chicken breast was delicate, juicy and flavoursome. The bed upon which it sat was full of flavour and nicely complimented the meat. The salmon main was equally beautiful. It sits on a bed of micro Italian pasta (forgot name) and, like the chicken, is cooked to perfection. The presentation of both these dishes was superb (see photos)
Finally we were suprised with a complimentary birthday plate of marshmallow and fudge. My word - this was delicious! That marshmallow was light, fluffy and melted in the mouth and the fudge was rich and sweet. It made us almost want to order deserts!
It was a delight to see a restaurant of such quality offering complimentary desert for someone's birthday, a generous gesture.
The restaurant itself was moderately quiet and well decorated. It seemed luxurious and the atmosphere was pleasant. Decoration inside was themed towards botany and was attractive. The staff were friendly and efficient. They gave off a true professional aura and helped with the overall presentation of the restaurant.
All in all, a fab b day lunch and a hidden gem of a restaurant!

Visited The Botanist for dinner. Warmly greeted and taken to a lovely table. All staff were wearing masks and observing the social distancing, very attentive throughout. It felt very safe. Wine was delicious, food was excellent. Still thinking about the sticky toffee pudding - Lovely evening!
C. J.
Lovely location in Sloane Square making it Ideal for a leisurely breakfast whilst watching the world go by. Staff are great and the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed with a lovely ambience. Not a huge menu but well cooked and nicely presented.
R. A.
Just went in for drink, & the team were most accommodating, even though we did not require food
L. H.
The restaurant is nicely tucked away from the bar area, which was quite loud for a Sunday evening. Menu choices were great and enjoyed the schnitzel. Good selection of wines by the glass but extremely over priced. Love the decor.
A. S.
I really liked this place, it was nice , had a bit of a mistaken billing issues but was resolved quickly. The manager sincerely apologised for the mix up and the day ended well. Will definitely visit again
L. A.
Lovely food, friendly service. The menu of a weekend lunch time is split between full meals and brunch options, offering something for everyone. Good wine list with decent selection and price options. Gets very busy of weekend evenings, especially in the bar, but a late lunch on a Saturday is the perfect time for a relaxed visit
C. C.
Had to wait ages at the bar for a drink but atmosphere nice and easy to get to
E. J.
Had the most wonderful time at The Botanist for my brithday. Our waitor Mohammed was great and very attentive. Food was lovely and great atmosphere.
D. B.
Fantastic evening on the 17th May. The team was great, the food and drinks outstanding.
Highly recommended!
J.
Love this place! Firstly, the manager (I think) who worked on the 6th was so accommodating. We'd accidentally booked the Pizza terrace but he resolved our error with ease. He was super friendly and the service was just 5 stars. The cocktail menu was lush, we had the oysters which I highly recommend and then the monkfish for main which was also yum! Can't wait to return.
A.
Wonderful oldie world service. They honestly couldn't do enough for us. It was like going back to a gentler age.
R. N.
Chilled vibe, good cocktails, maybe a little expensive but whatever, sometimes it's nice to live lavish 😁
W. M.
Good variety of cocktails, good atmosphere inside and outside. Try and get seats by the bar next to the window, great opportunity to people watch and watch the mixologists at work. Ladies love watching cocktails being made. 😉
E. M.
Lovely food and service! Thank you Robbie for sorting the booking x
D. T.
Useful location, particularly for a drink before a visit to Cadogan Hall or pre-show drinks before an evening at the Royal Court Theatre. The decor was nice and the staff were friendly. The food was okay but nothing to write home about.
A. W.
Very nice bar, very comfortable and up market. Popped in for drinks after a concert at Cadogan Hall, very enjoyable 😉
T.
Really tasty food, but service was a little slow.
A. B. (.
Went for brunch and love the art deco style of the place, nice view from the big widow, bit of a noisy place but all else was good. Love the food and the service. I recommend the bloody Mary here... They really know how to make one!!!
M. H.
Not enough space to stand or sit in the bar area. Otherwise great
L. C.
We booked pizza on the square on Thursday 15th April. We had a wonderful evening, all the staff were very accommodating especially Karolina the manager who was excellent and very attentive towards us and everyone. Highly recommended, it was very best seafood pizza we’ve ever had and we are from Devon. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next evening.
Definitely we will be returning on our next business trip to London

Hamid our waitor kept our glasses topped up for the duration. Great sense of humour, great food, excellent service, thanks Hamid and would recommend.
G. S.
Casual bar environment. Friendly staff. Great for catching up with friends.
B. K.
Excellent service, great food, lovely ambience!
K. P.
It’s a nice place for a quick drink or snack I would say
N.
A pretty good place dropped in on the off chance . The food was pretty good my fish course was delicious but too small a portion don't be stingy on veggies! Service was ok not attentive. But a really nice atmosphere and they did find us a table on a Friday night hence the extra star.
S. F.
I went here for lunch for the first time. A stones throw from Sloane Square station.
A brilliant spot. I went for a lunch meeting. I had tuna tartare for starters which was delicious. Just the right amount and very well prepared with a delicious sauce.
For mains I had the pumpkin ravioli. Again beautifully made and good portion size.
We also sampled the wine menu which accompanied the meal perfectly.
The layout of the restaurant is great. There’s enough space between the tables to feel that you can have a private conversation. They are also close enough to build the atmosphere and feel.
Staff were very welcoming upon arrival and checked in with us regularly to ensure we were well looked after.
It does cost a bit more than your average restaurant but very much worth it for the food, wine and service.
J. G.
Loved the food; Sunday Roast was awesome. Great service. Highly recommend!!
D. L.
Nice pub, friendly staff but poor choice of beers. No real ale, no Guinness, lots of horrible foreign lager.
J. C.
We had the best experience here with Mohammed. He is the hostess with the mostest and looked after us very well. A 6/5 for sure. He deserves a promotion.we WILL be back soon
P. M.
First time visit and recommended by a colleague. It was nice and good service: loved the decor!!! Will return again next time I visit London.
K. M.
Went to Botanist just after lockdown was released and enjoyed a pizza on the square. Pizza was done in the proper fire oven! Portions were rather small and rather pricy, on the other hand it was tasting like after covid freedom, so didn’t mind that much 😅
Restaurant managed social distancing really well, there was an easy way to order via app. Orders were served quickly.
S. G.
Quickly seated and started with some drinks. Good atmosphere. Main meals good, puddings better...
Y. J.
Lovely area to look around. The flower displayes they had a week or so ago were amazing.
A. J.
Grab a table and enjoy 😉, don't forget to take your hat off at the door! House rules!
g. l.
V busy vibrant place with interesting people, staff changing often new faces, waters can be ignoring , toilets v tiny not for large people .
L. C.
Drinks and food very expensive. Not a big choice on the menu
N. M.
Absolutely loved our experience!!!!
I. L.
I visited The Botanist last week for the first time and, I have to say, I was really impressed how amazing their cocktails were 😍 the staff was really nice and helpful and even created some new cocktails for us when we couldn't find the one's we wanted on the menu 💗 oh and cheese platter was 10/10.
Y. K.
Had a fantastic Saturday afternoon at The Botanist. Our waiter, Dean, was fabulous and looked after us all afternoon. All the staff were great. Social distancing was managed really well and the whole place was immaculate. Definitely recommend.
V. S.
Great place! Bartenders know their mixes very well! Definitely an after work bar, weekend afternoon bar. It's a bit on the pricier side but worth it. Have to still review the food! But if you're in Sloane Square, want to meet up with your friend for a drink or two, don't think, just get to the Botanist.
E. T.
Perfect place for pre drinks, good vibe! DJs never disappointed with the music! Lovely staff
d. j.
Food was good but not amazing. We didn't book a table. When we arrived, there was blonde waitress cleaning a table, who looked over at us with disdain. She came over and asked if we had a booking, to which I said no we don't. She then made the sourest face, as if we had committed a terrible crime and stormed off. I was flabbergasted as the restaurant wasn't busy at all. She then came back with 2 menus and sat us down. We really were in shock at this behaviour and thank goodness she wasn't our waitress for the rest of the evening. Our very friendly waiter came over and he counteracted everything the first waitress did. Our waiter was from Egypt and he made such an effort to be courteous, respectful and kind towards us. We enjoyed our light supper as this was a post theatre meal. My French fries were stone cold and they promptly replaced them with hot ones. I'm not sure I would return due to the waitress's attitude!
G. C.
The Botonist is appropriate to the local environment and plays an integral part at the Square.
A. C.
Excellent service and good atmosphere of a Friday night. Special thanks to the host and the bartenders
E. R.
This is not a part of London I usually frequent but I went for an event. I have unusual allergies and was looked after amazingly. The food was beautiful, really tasty and perfectly cooked along with great service. The location and decor were lovely. I recommend them and their events team. The only warning is that they are strict on their licence times!
A. A.
Nice decor and great drinks. Not my favourite food, but nevertheless a good spot for some post work drinks
k. k. s. c.
Stylish, welcoming and a tiny bit expensive! If you're out in this part of London for the day, you need to make sure you have saved up a bit the week before! You'll find it's well worth it. They've a great range of drinks at this place and some great food available here too. Definitely visit.
S. E.
Great Food. But needs to consider customers needs more. It was so loud in the bar that the barman had to ask for my drink order three times because he couldn't hear me... And I was shouting! The restaurant was better but not much and we strained to have conversation with our friends. My partner is lactose intolerant and was told he couldn't have the mussels without cream. Which suggested that come from a ready made vacuum pack! What we all ate was delicious. But we won't go there again because its so impossible to enjoy a conversation.
T. A. A.
Comfortable, modern interior and efficient service. Food was good, though not stunning, with interesting vegan options and a decent wine list. Ideal for dinner before seeing a performance at the Cadogan Hall, just round the corner. But please note that their pre-theatre menu is not available on Saturday.
J. M.
I loved this place, food was great ... will be back !
R. J.
Busy eating and drinking establishment on Sloane Square. Great atmosphere and good drink selection.
W. B.
As a Chelsea resident I can say this is always an extremely busy bar/restaurant, even weekdays — entirely because of location. Although the quality of the drinks and food is good, it’s so busy I would suggest checking elsewhere nearby before visiting. There is a lack of bars & restaurants in Sloane Square, “The Botanist” is lucky for their location.
A. C.
A less than stellar experience was well taken care of by the maître d - Karolina. Food variety, presentation, and flavour was very good despite the addition of some undesired ingredients and wine served in chipped glassware. Wait staff were attentive and quick to react to the issues. Would definitely return given the attention to customer service!
M. H.
Good outdoor space, in covid times. Forgot my laptop bag, returned after and hour and staff had stashed it safely for me. Too service
A. W.
This is a fairly high-end, busy cafe on Sloane Square. The coffee quality is excellent as well as the pastries and other food items.
It's an ideal location and ambience for hanging out with friends or an informal business meeting.
m. p.
Fantastic find amazing service by Sara and one of the best ever pizzas cooked by oscar
T. S.
This is a beautifully run clean restaurant with lovely staff, decent food and a great atmosphere.
A really good, humble friendly place to eat. Thank you very much for a fab experience.
J. W.
Very efficient and polite service. We had a light lunch in the bar area as the restaurant was full and thoroughly enjoyed it. On its way to a 5 rating but I would like to try dinner in the restaurant first.
V. T.
We tried the Botanist for the first time last night and the food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented especially lemon sole. The waiter Vladimir was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant looked to have been recently decorated. Overall a good meal and great value we will certainly be going back
L. F. J.
I came here for some drinks with my friend last week and loved the atmosphere! The supervisor Chris gave great service, he was very charming and polite. The cocktails were great too! We look forward to coming back :)
P. G.
Really busy on an evening in the summer, it was difficult to find a spot to make yourselves comfortable. But once you go, its great! We found a spot outside, where we watched the people go by (I do love my people watching). The cocktails have really been thought about have a lot of detail in them, so it does take a while to get your cocktail, but all worth it (if you choose one to your taste). The bar staff are great at recommending one, they are well experienced and therefore managed to make me a cocktail to my taste which wasn't on the menu. I'm a sucker for personalisation!
B. O.
This is a super trendy spot to be sure, but the food and service are not sacrificed to the gloss. The calamari is excellent, as most of the staff will point out and most things on the bar menu are reasonably priced, especially considering the crowd. The thing that keeps me going back are the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff and the portion sizes, which combined always make me feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
V. E.
Nice atmosphere, full of hipster. Staff is really lovely and try their best. Not good for food. Enjoy the atmosphere probably is the best selling point. Terrasse far too small unfortunately and very popular
C. S.
Well, if you haven't heard of, or visited, the Botanist on Sloane Square, then you have obviously been in exile on a remote Scottish Island. Last year, it had a major refit. But they have also turned the music up, so that only the younger customers can make themselves heard - or understood. Drinks now a bit more expensive. But none of that's a problem for me now - I met my fiancé there less than two years ago. And I am being absolutely serious. The restaurant is more peaceful now, and the food is really good, with excellent service. Worth a detour!
M. R.
Served crab that was terribly off, smelt hideous. The manager then argued it was perfectly fresh!
Place is good for drinks though as they have nice open area and you can enjoy cocktail outside or at the bar.
T. (.
Amazing place, good drinks, good people, good atmosphere ☺️
G. I.
Very kind staff that not only managed to find us a table but was able to suggest plates that didn't require long preparation as we were a bit in a rush. Food was overall good, and had a good drinks selection.
g. b.
Upmarket bar restaurant good beer
A. S.
lovely cocktails, but quite expensive for what they are. Be prepared to take out extra mortgage to pay for a few rounds!
The breakfast is lovely. Staff are extremely professional - and the decor is quite elegant, so a great place to entertain.
j. n.
Came here with my husband for brunch. Atmosphere was lovely. Food was yummy but a tad over salted. Service was great. Christian, our server, was very attentive. I would come back.
W. G.
Our server Christina was very impressive with her proactive, friendly service. She made us welcome and proactively catering our every requests. Excellent service. Food was good and proportion was just right.
S. S.
There are so many mixed reviews about this place, and the "management" always seem to reply but not actually act on the feedback. My own experience was, well, mixed! Let's start with the positives - great central location, good value pre-theatre menu (I was going to a concert at Cadogan Hall) and well presented, tasty food. As always with central London restaurants, this place is badly let down by the service. The staff were surly and non-responsive to the point of rudeness, it took a long time for certain courses to arrive (when the staff knew we had a deadline) and again for the bill once we had asked for it. The noisy bar next door does not make for a relaxed dining experience either. I will not rush back to the Botanist.
S. D.
Two Baileys £38 lol
a. a.
My server Mario was absolutely fantastic. I went for lunch two weeks ago by myself and he made sure I had an enjoyable time with prompt and personal service. The food and cocktail were delicious!
N. K.
Service was very good, staff were pleasant. Food was ok, it could be better. Wine was good. On the pricing side a bit expensive in relation of what we ate and drank! Overall not bad at a great spot which is one of its greatest advantage.
C.
My work colleagues and I visited last friday. The food was sublime. I had a cod rissotto, which was beautifully cooked and wonderfully presented. The service was great and so were the cocktails. Highly recommend coming here for dinner!! The restaurant has a great atmosphere!
H. S.
Good value pre-theatre menu (£15 for two courses) with very speedy and efficient service.
E. C.
Cocktail menu was minimalist and specialised with gins and bitters, but staff are happy to make personalised cocktails on request. Bar maid was a superb mixologist, and delightful company. She was happy to make up cocktails on request , and let me try them, and watch how they were created, and change them for free if i didnt like them. She was so friendly and bubbly, and made it a really fun experience. Normally im reluctant to try new cocktails in case I don't like them, but she was so easy going and happy to add things and let me taste stuff, so that i had the perfect drink. She created a beautiful sweet lemon + passion fruit martini. Definitely would recommend.
Y. G.
Great fun & lovely staff. Please fix the step in the bar area. Every time I go there people trip up and down the step . No need to have that step at the side of the bar. Easy just to fit a small slope so it doesn't happen. Everyone does it. To the left of the door when you come in. Please fix it.
K. M.
This is one of my favourite places in the square but it helps that Jayden is an actual angel! 🤎
H. G.
The food is fantastic and the decor is so cool. If you walk in the door and it's packed, don't be discouraged; that's the bar. We saw the bar was full but the restaurant off to the side had some tables and we were seated immediately. A really great place
J. P.
Over the years of living in the area I've been here more times than I can count. I don't go regularly any more because it's a bit overpriced, although you do get quite full on a 3 course meal!
As a general review I'd say it's not the best restaurant in the area but it's far from being the worst. The service is usually good and the food is fairly high quality. It's a little pompous and boastful, but that's to be expected in this area.
M. H.
Came here for brunch and had a mixed, but overall enjoyable experience. The food was great, but the service was a bit misdirected. We had plenty of attention, but it seemed that the waiting staff didn't communicate so we were asked for drinks order three times and food order twice. Other than that, I'd recommend if you happen to be in the area.
I. T.
This is a great place to have a drink and socialise. It attracts a lot of locals in and people from outside the area. The prices are reasonable and the drinks menue is great. It has two parts to this place, restaurant and the bar. The restaurant serves good choice of dishes and I enjoyed the service and atmosphere. On the hot day, they have the windows open, mediterenian style and it feels realy nice to see the hustle and bustle of the Sloan square around. Great place with great atmosphere. Will definitely reccomend it.
H. J.
Fantastic vibe. Best location. Great service. Good food. Wonderful selection of drinks. We love this place, it's a great place to meet. . It's always full. Bookings for lunches and dinner is recommended.
S. W.
Lovely to be back out. Great food and if course not too busy
N. S.
If you come here for bottomless brunch and you're willing to swallow your pride, you can squeeze a lot of extra drinks in if you ask.
D. M.
Ok food, extremely polite and professional waiter but ultimately c**p service, failing to provide the drinks within the 50 minutes we spent there having pre-theatre dinner. It’s a bar - how hard can it be to serve drinks?!
A. H.
Came here for a pre-concert dinner with a wheelchair bound relative. Staff were amazing: helpful, accommodating, efficient and friendly. Set menu was very good value for money. Thank you for an excellent evening - we'll be back!
b. m.
Food excellent staff very attentive
A. J.
So so food. Friendly staff. A bit over priced.
K. P.
Our meal was delicious! The crusted salmon was amazing. Service was slightly slow because it was a packed restaurant, but our server was great.
A. S.
Great place but the ap to order not good. Hope it goes back to humans soon hence only three stars
J.
Went for brunch. Nice decor, reminds me of the Ivy in Kensington and Tower Bridge. Full English wasn’t great, black pudding was cold and too firm, poached eggs were hard. Toast was cold and hard. No coat hanger hook on the back on the toilet door.
d. f.
on Thursday hamid was our waiter. We've been there many time but first time he was our waiter. Extremely polite, knowledgeable and very friendly. he had other tables but never failed to make sure we didn't need anything.
Made our visit much nicer
A. B.
I had a great experience. Food and wine amazing. Service outstanding. We were treated warmly and all the staff were kind accommodating and clearly care about their customers.
V. S.
Although expensive - cocktails are around £12 but definitely worth it. High quality ingredients, skilled bartenders and delicious recipes. If you are in the area definitely check it out.
S. T.
The burger I had was really good. They also seated us very quickly. My only grievance is that our server was a bit sour. However the quality of the food made up for it.
J. B.
Best place for Americano coffee but a little pricey for breakfast. As an American we are used to breakfast with sides like potatoes or a meat but you just get what you ordered. My choice was eggs florentine and that's what I got. Just a egg on a muffin sitting in the middle of a very large plate. Was hungry 5 minutes later.
R.
Nice atmosphere, super friendly service, looking out on to Sloane Square.
V. T.
This is a great place to come have drinks and people watch. I am not from London, or British, and locals described the people frequenting this place to me as "very Chelsea." I would describe it as posh trendy rather than funky trendy. People were well dressed here, with many girls carrying designer bags and shoes. The ambience is nice, with modern Art Deco decor inside and small outdoor space at the front. It sits in the heart of Sloane Square, so if you are in the restaurant or at the bar you look out onto the square. While we were there, a club promoter came to our table to invite us to the place next door, a bar/club. He also described the people that go there as very "Chelsea." My suggestion then is if you are looking for the Chelsea London experience go here.

Beautiful Food and Amazing Staff and People.. Coming every 2 months
M. B.
Very enjoyable the staff couldn't do enough for my daughter and her friends as it was a birthday.
E. S.
Very delicious, good food. Busy place due to its location. Got to sit at the window with a little persuasion even though I had asked when I booked on line with Open Table! You won't be disappointed.
A. S.
Lovely location, being so close to Sloane Square. Big dining space, excellent service (they made dining with two toddlers an easy and pleasurable experience). Food is ok, good but rather greasy.
A. R.
Great for cocktails over meet-ups; ideal for first dates. Energetic ambience and beautiful people hanging out there. Good service and friendly staff.
T. H.
Lovely cocktails and wine in an excellent location. I had a 'Jet Black' (interesting take on an Old Fashioned). Good service.
R. M.
Greta coffee! That's how you make an excellent coffee! Had a quick drink here and had a good experience! Staff very friendly. That coffee, that was simply the best!
A. V.
Bought a full course meal. It was pretty good, liked the soup the most, but just okay for the price. Staff were decent, not exemplary. Your mileage may vary.
R. G.
Amazing cocktails, full of Sloaney lurrvies, great pre concert venue for food just remember to book and if you can have a cocktail at the bar beforehand. Food we have found always been good - the mussels last year were the biggest Ive ever had!
A. B.
Enjoyable experience; bustling atmosphere and delicious food. Fairly limited selection on the Sunday menu, but all very tasty. Excellent service.
K. J.
Honestly not great for the prices they're charging. The service was seriously sub-par and when my sister sent back her dish because it was cold, the replacement only came long after the rest of us had finished eating. It's far from terrible, but don't expect much. It's unlikely I'll be back.
M. G.
I have been here for cocktails and also for dinner. Comfortable environment. Not too formal. Great selection of cocktails. Staff very attentive in the restaurant .
C. S.
Interesting, delicious cocktails in a classy joint. Gets very busy with the after-work crowd so try and get there at 4ish if you want a table...
G. D.
Nice. Pricey but that's the location I suppose. No cocktail onions in stock so for somewhere that claims its cocktails are the best no Gibson Martini for me. Boo.
E. B.
Perfect place to grab some delicious breakfast and lunch. The sandwich is very tasty and they also have a wide selection of fresh cakes and pastries. Nice size portion that surely satisfy your craving.
G.
Good cocktails and very friendly staff.
E. S.
Lovely place for drinks or food. Great staff working here, very nice and professional. Very good atmosphere.
M. M. J.
Nice vibe, yummy cocktails and food is tasty too. A great place for pre or post theatre drinks too as Royal Court Theatre is 1 minute walk.
I. D.
A nice place to eat . Quite busy on a Friday night. Service is fair , food quality good and the red house wine tasted delicious.
H. F.
Great hectic atmosphere
F. S.
High quality classic fare at this classy dining room decorated with ancient botanist drawings. Quite noisy and bustling atmosphere. Nevertheless the staff manages very well to accomodate every whim.
T. R.
A delightful bar to have coffee, cocktails or a bite to eat before braving Peter Jones and the White Company
C. V.
Stay at Sloane Square hotel every year and usually pop in for a lunchtime snack before departing separate ways. Need the management to realise how dangerous a particular step is at the front of house! I had something in my eye, went over to the window with a small mirror to remove offending speck. Afterwards, as I returned to my seat, I didn’t notice a tiny step as there was no warning line. Wow, did I crash to the floor, witnessed( very undignified) by all and sundry, ( including front of house) Even though it was two weeks ago, the bruised knee is still very tender. Cursory attention was paid. My shin and knee was every colour of the rainbow! Disappointing....
P. T.
Great welcome ( we had no booking) amazing food and all the staff were wonderful. Out first visit but it won't be our last. ❤️
P. C.
Despite being very busy they were very accommodating when I arrived rather late, and in a rush, before a concert nearby. Excellent service good food and super convenient for the Cadogan Hall.
K. T.
Overpriced, small portion brunch. Good Bloody Mary. Big restaurant with little wait and funny waiters. Perfect for people watching around Sloane Square when sitting outside.
S. G.
Spent there far too many evenings! Brilliant place, very delicious food and wine aaaand cute bartenders!
S. O.
It's pricey, but then it is Sloane Square!
However, it is fantastic value for money. Menu choices were varied, food was delicious, atmosphere welcoming and the service we got was brilliant, even on a busy Saturday evening.
P.
Can get pretty busy, but that's a good sign I think! Lovely location overlooking Sloane Square, which is particularly pretty after dark during the winter months when the square is all lit up.
T. D. C.
The kitchen in the end is like a pub not a restaurant
A. B.
Very noisy place always too busy and service is not great. Pity as the menu is good, food tasty and prices are reasonable.
w. b.
Nice pub
J. S.
Can't fault this restaurant. Friendly, attentive staff. Enjoyed the food, and a good menu with plenty to choose from. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
D. W.
Excellent service and menus. Great selection of wines. Ideally placed off of a busy Sloane Square
K. H.
Very nice breakfast, good location for Sloane Square Underground and the Saatchi Gallery. Service was a bit slow and some food a bit cold but otherwise very good.
A. R.
As a regular customer i am very fond of the Botanist, but the current situation is not so appealing to me and other regulars at the moment, i wish for a better service like it used to be when Fulvio the Italian waiter who used to work there, he was the groove of the lounge, we prefer going to Colbert while waiting for better days for the Botanist.
J. C.
Good food, excellent location, professional staff. Amused to see the decor refernces Sir Hans Sloane...
H. T.
Very nice social bar, and a good selection of drinks. The bar is relatively small and can get very busy after work hours, however this adds to the atmosphere.
E. D.
Classy atmosphere, fantastic breakfast, and a great place to talk amongst friends. If you're looking for a traditional british eatery, this seems to be a fantastic choice!
C. G.
I always go to The Botanist in the evening, after a day shopping on King’s Road, a stroll at the Saatchi Gallery. Great place for cocktail, busy and buzzing, fantastic London fashion, jumping from one conversation to another. I recently stopped by for breakfast and what a different atmosphere, so soothing, so peaceful, the perfect room to wake up slowly. It has a French bistrot feeling - ask for a coffee, a home baked croissant, grab the moning papers. Take your time, enjoy the cream and caramel surrounding, the curves, really look at the amazing wall of botanical engravings.
Breakfast at The Botanist

It was a lovely sunny day - those are to be cherished in England - and I fancied a splash of colour. In a very optimistic thought (yes, sun WILL stay, let’s prepare the skin for it), I opted for a almost silky carrot juice, full vitamin dose. I love that fruit juice is pressed on demand and is always super fresh here. look at the Mint Lift: isn’t this the most beautiful palette of green? Pineapple, apple and mint of course, extra tasty. Remember - we are on Sloane Square. Did you know Hans Sloane brought cacao back to the Uk and even invented its preparation with milk? In his honour, The Botanist serve a superb hot chocolate, slightly sweet, with a cloud like foam, sprinkled with cacao flakes. And a pure luxury touch: a Rococo chocolate stick to crunch on or to be used as a stirrer for a slow-melting effect.
Hungry? Grab a fork. There is a whole page of treats on the menu, from salmon and scrambled eggs, porridge, granola, soft boiled hen eggs with Marmite soldiers, dill cured gravad lax/rye toast/ricotta, coriander/caper and red onion salad… We went for the classic poached eggs with a slight twist. No need to choose anymore, you can have one Florentine and one Benedict on the same plate. Creamy spinach, beautiful ham, hot muffins, rich egg yolk, lemony sauce sprinkled with chives. I don’t know why - it simply makes me happy in a second. Simple comfort food with great ingredients.
But if you want a real change from the usual English Breakfast choices, there is a lovely healthy option to go for. Delicious sweetcorn fritters, roast vine tomato, smoked streaky bacon, baby spinach and a tangy, to-die-for avocado salsa. The bacon is so crunchy, I felt like a kid facing French fries, I just had to eat it with my fingers. Oh, I so need to have this next time with a boiled egg and dip it in the yolk!
J. D.
Varied starters. My main, confit of duck, bland. A bit ordinary.
D. K.
I had a fleeting visit to join friends before an event at the Cadogan Hall. The service was wonderful, I only had time for cheese and biscuits but they were lovely!
J. M.
The Bontanist is Sloan Square has the best brekkies I've ever had in London. I came here with my sister and would highly recommend it. Some things to note: you must make a reservation of the weekend to avoid disappointment.
K. H.
Very 'West' London. Cocktail were delicious and slightly unusual, well made... Though at £12.50 a little expensive especially when you. Got a short one...
C. O.
Was expecting more from this cocktail bar, I think there are better botanist locations than this one (decor and atmosphere wise) but the location is great if you're in Chelsea.
S. N.
Fabulous breakfasts. The service and food has been great each time. I very much enjoyed the eggs bennedict.
M. B.
Nice place, good food, I love their crispy duck salad and tuna tartare.
Make sure you reserve it's usually full.

Good place for a drink the food however was pretty ordinary and not at an ordinary price
B. K.
My all time favourite venue in Sloane square. Nothing bad to say about this place. Great memories and great times.
A. A.
Always nice here food great nice vibe only the bar so busy long wait to get a drink plus bar side needs more seating!
C. M. B.
We went for brunch and all was absolutely as you'd expect from a place like this.
Thanks to Julien, Christina and all the staff for the wonderful experience.
H. S.
Well-meaning but ultimately disastrously slow service, food that you wouldn't exactly write home about, and fellow diners that would, at best, be described as 'dreary'. The 'green' Bloody Mary is, however, of note.
E. Z.
Nice. Buzzy spot full of people loving a bit of wine in the afternoon. Food is tasty. Looks like a budget version of the Ivy.
A. H.
We had breakfast and the food was good, ambience was excellent and staff were nice. Hamid served us and he was a gem
G. L.
Good food and cocktails but difficult to get the waiting staff's attention.

I call the place The Lobotomist. Drinks are ok and the place is quite popular with the younger crowd, perhaps on the trendier side. It gets quite full in the evenings.
S. D.
Tonic was flat ruining the gin and tonic. Cocktails are nice but quite expensive for what they are.
