Reviews of The Brown Cow
L. C.
We had a delicious Sunday lunch. We had booked a table but our train was delayed because of the storms so we rang ahead to adjust the booking, which the staff were very accommodating about. It was a relief to enter the restaurant's warmth and cheerful atmosphere and be welcomed by the manager who sat us down at our table. The restaurant was full but we didn't feel on top of other people. Gentle music played. We had amazing service from all the staff in particular a new member of staff. The food was delicious only one small thing was the Yorkshire pudding wasn't hot enough. We didn't feel rushed there and we will definitely return

I had a long walk from East Putney heading to Soho, and I was thirsty and had to stop in Fulham for a drink.. My path led me to this place by chance and immediately felt very comfortable to stay longer than I intended to. I had a really friendly mature conversation with Emanuel, and had the feeling I knew him from a long time. The lovely people who runs the place are very nice, at least to what I witnessed myself.
I can’t say it’s the most fascinating place, but it feels local and cosy.

Joined for Christmas Day lunch here. Absolutely fantastic! The staff were brilliant, the food was phenomenal and the wine list is suitably broad. The only complaint is there is only cold water in the bathroom so not very hygienic imho (odd for such a nice place). Hopefully they fix this, definitely recommended!

At the time of writing, the exterior is still blighted by scaffolding, but don't let this put you off. Once inside you'll find a pleasant pub that actually offers a pint for £5.10, a bit of a rarity in the area.
L. W.
Great menu with delicious fresh food options. Service was a little slow but friendly and helpful.
W. P.
Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and THE best place to be seen in Fulham #instaworthy

My Sunday go to. No roast has been able to compare to the quality quantity and friendliness of this establishment!
D. N.
Very tasty Sunday dinner
All nice and hot.
Very happy 😁😁

The Brown Cow is one my favourite places in Fulham to relax with a drink. Good service, great selection of drinks and delightfull food. Worth a visit.
D. G.
Really nice pub good food and frendly staff

One of my favourite places. Great for a quick drink or a snack.
I've had bar snacks here which are great.
Always managed to get a table here for drinks.

We booked late for 5 of us to have lunch on a 6 Nations Saturday which meant that the TVs were on and there were some big table reservations.....that is the end of the minor negatives.
The food was excellent. All 5 of us had different main course and all 5 loved our choices. I had the Cauliflower Katsu Curry which I heartily recommend. Service was prompt without it giving the feeling of being hurried along. Would definitely use the venue again.

Cute pub with great service, drinks and food!
J. P.
A great casual pub with great food. Very relaxed atmosphere with a rustic feel. I've only ever had starters and these were great particularly the sausage roll and scotch egg. It has to be said that the food is overpriced somewhat. Highly recommend this pub.

The Brown Cow pub is a nice.place. I mostly go in there before Fulham matches. Sometimes it get crowded and there's a bit of a wait. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can book booths which have individual tv in them.. which are great. The pub opens up at 12 on a Saturday, which is a pain. The toilets are nice and clean. Nice place.
P. W.
Great little pub with lovely staff, good beers and delicious food
J. C.
Stop off after Christmas day church! Very friendly attentive staff, but not over the top. Really nice atmosphere chilled in festive way. Best mulled wine I've had this season, only sorry we didn't think to book Christmas day lunch there, it was set out really well and looked like good fun was going to be had by all. Big plus...dog friendly.
J. C.
A nice relaxing pub to meet friends , escape to by yourself to . Good menu , quality food and great coffee
T. P.
We come here often. One of the better gastropubs in the area of Parsons Green. Limited but exquisite menu that changes often. Great meat and fish quality. Ok service, but can be busy on weekends and booking definitely recommended. Priced at £50+ per head with wine like a proper restaurant that it is.
E. T.
Quirky neighbourhood drinking place! Not your traditional English pub, just a cute bar with lots of small tables. Good selection of beers, IPAs and wines. There is a small section of the place for table serviced dinner. Fairly priced beverages and good hearty food. It’s a great place to chill out after work.
S. M.
Unfortunately they had run out of rump steak and ribeye by the time I arrived on a Friday night at 7.30pm. Was in the mood for steak, so ordered the sirloin at £31. Despite there being plenty of staff, no one asked if I needed another drink or dessert. Unfortunately this was an average experience and not worth the price. Shame, as this place has a great atmosphere. Don’t think I’d come back for food.
E. L.
Sunday roast - excellent if you like your beef blue/rare.
Service leaves a lot to be desired and I echo others sentiments that the staff need more training. After being seated it was 10 minutes before we were given a menu - let alone drink order; plates at clear-away were stacked directly on the table while others still eating; And the attitude of staff varies widely from appalling to exceptional.
C. M.
Had a great meal here.. Definitely lots of locals and the atmosphere reflected it.. Will return, even if just for a beer.. Good solid food and attentive staff.
T. C.
we are a couple of Italians, we had dinner here for a special occasion. The environment is very nice, a bit loud though. food was very good, not amazing but good. I really liked scottish egg, We also had risotto with mushrooms and sausages. good wine, price ok.

Class Sunday Roasts, a little busy on the weekends and quite noisey too but thats a corner pub/restaurant for you. Food is grwat quality, happy with the service as the staff were always nice. Food was slow coming out but they had a full house so...well done kitchen! Would go back, would eat anything and be happy there ha.
M. G.
More of a restaurant than a pub,a small bar but a lot of seating,a reasonable selection of craft beers.
Food menu is pretty good although service can be slow when busy,it took 25 mins from when we placed our order to our food arriving.Very popular for Sunday lunches which are good but not cheap
N. N.
Delicious!
Burger, fish and chips & short rib are amazing!
Eton mess was awesome!
Some times a little stinjy with the chips though!
R. H.
Used to love this place for its food and vibe, but while it's still buzzing, the food has taken a real turn for the worse, as has the service. Roast beef (which I like rare) was blue-to-raw even after having sent it back once. On my previous visit, the sea bream was fried to a crisp and far too salty.
j. A.
One of those pubs that really doesn't like to think of it being a pub. There's not much by the way of beer, but what there is is kept well. Food looks fantastic, though pricey. It's generally a nice place to be, but it's barely a pub these days.
W. B.
Good pub, friendly staff would go again
A. R. C.
Good food, good wine choice and plenty beer. Waiting staff excellent. Recommended. Great before the football for lunch/brunch.
R. B.
Pretty tasty food, a bit overpriced

Shocked at Chef's behaviour
I just came from Brown Cow. Have to leave this feedback because I'm upset about what just happened. Am a big fan of BC and it's sister the Sands End. Food is usually great. Have eaten between them lots. Tonight they served the crab cake overcooked with bitter flavour. Because I've been in the gym and starving I ate it, which was silly. Then I told the extremely pleasant waitress Siobhan about it when asked and she apologised, and then her manager unnecessarily but very kindly asked about the problem and generously apologised and suggested they'd do smth at end of meal for us. Expectation set. We didn't want anything after mains so requested bill. I was surprised to see the crabcake on the bill and told Siobhan that if I gotta pay for crabcake to remove service charge. She asked the chef what to do, and he told her to take her service charge off. How mean of the chef. And then I felt bad for Siobhan. I really hadn't expected that response from a decent place. Sad. Yeh I know some of you thinking if no good I shouldn't have eaten it. But it wasn't awful. It was edible. It just wasn't good. And I expect good, not edible. And I was starving, didn't want to wait again, so just ate it. I expect a restaurant to be grateful for feedback, and not just the "I almost vomited" type. I'm surprised at the chef's mean attitude. Siobhan deserved her tip but the protest then couldn't be made any other way and I had to follow through. I've still given 4 stars because that's my averaged view of BC... Not this experience, which was not cool. Keep up the standards. This is Parsons Green where customers don't need to two bit over £7.50. It's the principle... of good-not-edible food which I know BC appreciate which is why this was out of line
I. S.
Loved their scotch eggs! Great selection of beer and good atmosphere in general. They also allow dogs inside.
L.
Always pop in here when in the area. Nice cosy place with locals. Little noisy but service good and nice grub menu.
D. K. C.
Fantastic local pub with lovely food and great atmosphere. It's not cheap but the friendly staff, stylish decor and tasty dishes make it well worth it.
A. G. J.
Brilliant bar with table tennis and activities for the whole family!
Great place to visit before a game at London Stadium.
B. P.
Food is good, staff are friendly, but the food does arrive in a bit of ad hoc manner!
R. G.
Good heir of the Sands End pub: nice atmosphere, classic gastropub menu but with a few twists to make it stand out a bit, and always buzzing with people. The White Horse still remains my choice if you're going for a pint nearby.
C. L.
Great vibe! Definitely be back
D. D.
Very good food and great service! It was quite noisy but I was there on a Saturday night.
The industrial fries are the only downside of the food!
K. F.
For Fulham it's cheap!!... I recommend it! On top of my pint I got a complimentary gin and tonic for registering to the Epicurean club...! Awesome!
D. D. H.
Very new, on a very nice high street, in a nice area of London.
The food is good, and there are some modern entries to complement the classic gastropub fare.
M. M.
Nice restaurant/pub although maybe a bit too pricey (mains are around £17-20). The ribs and the chicken Kiev were good
S. G.
Great variety on the menu, very well prepared food. Manager is a gent. Will definitely be back.

Went for the CL final a few weeks ago, and they were having TV issues, kudos to them they managed to get it working (luckily the match was delayed) but there were audio issues.
