Reviews of The Chelsea Pig
M. S.
Totally revamped gastropub with lovely design (lots of roses, even a diver), super friendly staff, great drinks and lovely food. The stilton sauce was exceptional as were the thin chips. At last a pink burger (although hardness and flavour may need some work). A joy to be here

What a wonderful lunch we had! The decor was superb, a pub with a luxury touch! We chose the chicken, rib eye and lobster pie and every single meal was delicious. Violet Creme Brule as dessert was the perfect choice to end that amazing meal. Mia was just amazing, sweetest and funniest girl took so much care of our table and defenitely made our whole experience :):) defenitely a place to come back
S. M.
I went during soft launch. It was ashamed that they ran out of rib roast. I had the chicken and was impressed with it - it was crusty on the outside and very juicy meat inside. Their dishes were on the salty side though.
R. N.
Simply put, the Chelsea Pig is an excellent gastro-pub. Food is spectacular, service is warm, and the cocktails have their own clever twist.
Not sure what establishment was there before, so you can disregard those old reviews as they talk about a different restaurant.
This newly made-over pub is highly recommended. The staff have always made us feel welcome whether we came in for a quiet drink or a blow out top quality meal! 5 stars without doubt.
S. V.
Beautiful and definitely different place. Interior is outstanding as well as food and drinks comes in a high quality. If you're looking for a place not too expensive but romantic and great service I recommend The Chelsea Pig. Try their Rhubarb margarita and ribs.
Amazing place.
Honestly, interior is like nowhere else. 😍
E. N.
Has Sunday lunch there, beef was a bit too fatty for me but I’m a bit picky. Great size portions & the service was 5*. Scallops for starters were delicious! Will definitely return!!
E. B.
Great for dinner or even just drinks! Very good food (innovative and not your ordinary pub menu) and outstanding ambience. The nice service stands out most of all
A. K.
Hospitable, friendly and passionate hosts. Delicious dishes with very high standards,
especially the fish with caviar 😍 it was to die for! Staff are very knowledgeable and will help you with recommendations. Stunning and cosy interiors. The ambiance makes you feel like home. YOU should definitely treat yourself and visit, you won't regret!
M. L.
Recently refurbished and under new management this ‘pub’ is now high glam 80s fashion establishment with funky music. However, it is overpriced with inexperienced service and wannabe Michelin food. It appears confused whether it is a funky bar or restaurant. If you enjoy high fashion give it a go but stick to the bar cocktails.
I. A.
Cannot fault my visit here. The staff are friendly, attentive and accommodating. The interior is stunning, the perfect mix of traditional, upmarket and fun. The food is amazing. A great selection of wines and cocktails.
D. N.
Nice restaurant. A great improvement on the pub which used to be on this site a few years ago. Interesting decor, good service
c. c.
New on the block - this place could be a long term winner.
The service is very good, fast, knowledgeable, polite and
welcoming every time I have been here.
Great place for a quick drink - nice mixed crowd of people -
all ages, all nationalities and socio - economic demo = not snobby
or "pig" headed ! Good mixing pot. Happy.
Cocktails not bad.
Personally I find the current wine list limited for my taste and over priced.
I would not recommend the all the food on the menu so choose carefully.
The interesting deco is like some of those fashionable old school places in Europe so nice for London.
Overall well worth the vist.
This is a interesting ok to good value for money place to visit by Chelsea standards ( which are basically a total rip -off everywhere )
Hopefully they will build their client base and survive the coming months / years or Mr F.L. will be on the look out for a new plan.
D. C.
Great evening at the Chelsea Pig, fantastic service from Ross and well managed by Damian ( on his 3rd day ) ....Overall great food, atmosphere and service ...the only slight negative is ...if you think it's a bar and a typical ex sportsman type bar then you will be disappointed...it is a restaurant with a great atmosphere that does good food
R. H.
It has to be my favourite place in Chelsea! Recall the old boozer... it was ok. Now... the refurb is 1st class, so welcoming and fresh, cozy and classy. Front of house so wonderful. Great wine list... food v tastey. Will be back, often. Thank you.
M. H. A. S.
Their glassware is beautiful and navy blue velvet curtains and dark deco style is very nice and cozy

Revamped Gastropub with beautiful interior decor by Tom Oulston. Food is delicious and the cocktails are even better. Great for a relaxing Sunday roast or evening meal!
H. M.
Great pub with smart interiors but friendly relaxed atmosphere. Dinner was great, would go back
A. M.
Great service and lovely food. Menu suited.
C. W.
Wonderful ambience, food and service. A superb local - looking forward to our next visit.
N. S.
Good location and with great quality dishes and friendly staff. I dined at the upstairs dining room that was comfortable and nicely furnished
T. P.
Very pleasant bar with fantastic cocktails and the staff.
S. A.
Great place. Friendly folks, very swish
We had a good time
A. D.
amospheric place with delicious food, friendly staff)
A. N.
The Sunday roast we had with lamb was absolutely amazing : both tasty and looks amazing! Beer is fresh had moretti on tap . Do not believe other reviews, we enjoyed both food and beer! All staff were very polite asked how we liked our food! Just come and enjoy it.
D. D.
Lovely service and staff. The decor is cheerful and the community spirit around this pub is obviously lovely. Their ale pumps seem a little broken - the bartender had to pump multiple times to fill my glass which left me with a cloudy, underfilled pint. However he was very apologetic! We enjoyed the free board games.
R. E.
Beautiful place for cocktails 1st visit
J. S.
Just exceptional in every sense - can't beat it.

I booked the upstairs function room for our small evening wedding reception. We had organised to arrive at the pub early in the day to set up the room, which we did. On first sight we didn't think much of it. It needs some TLC. However by the evening when we arrived for our meal, it was certainly cosy and intimate, exactly how we wanted the atmosphere to be.
The set party menu had good selections that catered for everyone and they also catered for one of our guests with food allergy requirements and all of our guests gave positive feedback. We had a young guest also who had a meal from the A La carte menu which was also very good.
All in all my Husband and I were very happy with David and his staff on the night, and will go back again.
j. A.
Well kept beers and the food looks great. Staff seem a little rushed, and it runs out of space fast on busier days. In the summer though, it's perfectly lovely to stand out front and enjoy the scenery. Not a bad pub at all.
P. E.
Fantastic. So good we are going back in 2 days time
D. T.
Good pub, usually pretty quiet and the best bit is there aren't too many beers to choose from - less time for indecisive punters to procrastinate at the bar, meaning service is quicker. Bar staff are usually a laugh too which is rare for London pubs.
A. G.
Great, fine dining experience! Gold star!
P. E.
Not happy about the name change and they got rid of the discount lunch menu, also play less grunge music than they used to.. I have yet to try the steak since it changed hands so can't comment on the food really I just had the soup which was decent but ultimately it's a lovely pub with lovely people
M. R.
Lovely pub thats been in the area for years! Good atmosphere but a strange smell if you arrive before the crowd! The food is great though so well worth a visit in the evening for dinner!
M. D. P.
It's been my local for years, although it has recently changed management for the better! 🔥
The prices are great for Chelsea, the food is phenomenal and the service is unlike any other.
They have an open fire in the winter which is unique in central London. Definitely worth a visit!
E.
Amazing experience. Definitely my go to spot.
R. H.
Enjoyed lunch upstairs in function room earlier today. We were on a bit of a deadline as had a local (baptism) ceremony to go to by 2.30pm. Bit of a slow start which meant not enough time to enjoy canapes, followed by hot lunch on small cold plates which were exchanged for large cold plates. Service was ok but all ended in a rush despite restaurant being briefed in advance about timelines. Food good but soon got cold on cold plates!
M.
Christmas Day lunch.
Christmas Day menu options/ prices on website were misleading- implied 3 available menus (£35-£65), actually £65 only available - only realised on arrival!
Atmosphere good and jolly, we were a table of five and were given our own corner in the pub part. Weren’t really aware of other customers.
Drink- given a glass of prosecco each on arrival.
Food - good portions but turkey wasn’t carved in slices, was served more Like turkey steaks and were quite dry and tough. Extra gravy provided. Pudding - Christmas pudding available but served with brandy custard not the traditional Brandy butter.... which was not well recieved by the more traditional members of the party! I had mine with ice cream which was delicious.
Staff - very friendly and keen to make our Christmas Day as enjoyable as possible.
J. H.
A good selection of drinks and an OK atmosphere and the right music level. The place is let down by the quality of the toilets and poor lighting in some areas leading to a gloomy feeling even in broad daylight.
R. P.
This place used to be a Belgian beer cellar and they've certainly kept the selection of beers adding American craft beers as well as a selection of local guest ales. The atmosphere is friendly and you can have a joke with the bar staff with no problems.
The food is pretty good, standard pub choices with ribs and burgers on the menu. The real reason to come is the beer, don't leave without trying Kwak - a Belgian beer that comes in a glass more suited for an elaborate Chemistry experiment rather then a simple beer!
N. E.
Loved this place, but where I come from people aren't drunk and loud at 5 pm. Pubs aint that busy. Also they forgot to make our steak. But thats allright. We had a great evening and the people were very nice. Love to come back again.
F. L. F.
Pretty nice pub. Perfect for a brunch with friend over the weekend. Simple and good food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff too. I would go back.
D. J.
Fabulous food - explore the menu - steer away from burger chips and you will be amazed - chefs make that extra noticeable effort - I am victor meldrew with regards to food and I'm i'm giving 5 stars. Proper Chefs - 6th visit - celaric and walnut soup - asparagus risotto - pork belly and chorizo - infused pear and quince sorbert - a benchmark most London Michelins cannot match. Love it !
C. S.
Food was delicious.
Atmosphere was great.
What lowered my rating was having to wait over an hour for the food.
Better service, and I will increase the ratings to 4, possibly 5.
D. W.
Handy gastro pub just off King's Road. It’s quite cold these days and seems to lack customers and warmth, but isn't too unpleasant for half an hour or so. When I worked nearby on a local magazine, this pub used to be called The Front Page.
S. T.
Terrific food. Fantastic wait staff. Great beer selection. Can't wait to return. Good job guys.
F. G.
Perfect spot for a hearty Sunday Roast. Go for the roast beef if you're a fan of Yorkshire Pudding as they are massive! Avoid sitting in the row of tables on the left as you walk in or you'll catch the odd whiff from the toilet.
N. B.
Food was excellent, time between course was far too long, if your looking for a good gastro pub, well worth a try.
B. D.
No ales on tap at the no due to change over so a little empty when we arrived. watched the semi final tennis and it got busier. It was called the Pigs ear previously I hear!
A. L.
Excellent food as always
I. R.
Fantastic local pub with a good selection of drink, including cocktails, and excellent food. Always a warm, buzzing atmosphere.
t. c.
Excellent food! Would go back for sure next time I go to London. It's nice and quiet and super cozy.
J. Z.
Ordered the pork belly which was plated attractively and was full of flavour. Certainly restaurant quality for a pub price.
C. W.
This is what a pub should be. A proper pub full of character and charm. Not expensive and friendly in a very smart part of town.
N. D.
Fantastic bar and restaurant. Love it. Food is always good, but gets busy, need to book.
a. T.
One of my favourite pubs in London. Traditional pub dowstairs with a relaxed atmosphere. The upstairs restaurant is more formal.
M. D.
Nice place, great food, welcoming staff and moreover good beer! Would highly recommend it for lunch time.
R.
Good: for having a drink, food is fine, great 'tap' water (with strawberries!), nice ambiance ("gezellig"!)
Advice : very bad coffee, service is not very friendly.
P. G.
Had a great sit down dinner in the upstairs room. Small issues with time between mains and one wrong order but due to numbers these things can happen.
A. T.
Great place! So cosy..the staff are lovely and the food was delicious. So glad we stopped by!
S. s. D.

The Sunday roast the only thing was that in line with its name I was hoping for roast pork with crackling but alas it wasn't one of the roast selections
N. B.
This place shares the same name as Bon Jovi's pub which is why I originally came here, nice enough place but I was underwhelmed.

(Translated) A respectable lunch.
Discovering this place made my day better. Excellent service with an eye to the quality of the dishes served and a fairly well-stocked wine list.
I highly recommend to try the cocktails as well a well executed drink list, it will not be difficult to find the one that suits you best.
Favorite dishes Scottish Scallops and Terrine of Rabit.
Incredible location with real works of art inside.
A fixed stop every time I pass by these parts, even if only for a pint 🍺

Piatti preferiti Scottish Scallops e Terrine of Rabit.
Location incredibile con vere e proprie opere d’arte al suo interno.
Tappa fissa ogni volta che passerò da queste parti anche solo per una pinta 🍺
