Reviews of The Garrison
M. L.
I loved everything about this place. The staff so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere. The decor. A super relaxed vibe but with a touch of elegance and style. The food is great. Would highly recommend if you are this side of London to pop in for a cheeky cocktail or reserve for a rather delicious meal.
S.
A really tasty roast. Recommend the crumble for desert, too.
The staff are lovely and there is a great selection of wine. The menu is a little on the pricey side but the restaurant has a lovely light and airy atmosphere, different to the traditional pub, it's got a sophisticated feel.
Really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back.

Pram and dog friendly! We came for Sunday roasts as a group of 6 + pram and dog. Booking is essential.
The meals are made from British produce and the starters were beautifully presented and very tasty. The pigs head croquettes and and squid were a firm favourite among us. The roasts were a very decent size and again, delicious and we were served extra pots of gravy.
They have a good range of gins available, and some contemporary cocktails. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
S. K.
Very tasty food, service was hit and miss (mainly miss) but the staff seem nice enough. I'd sooner take great food with mediocre service than the other way around!
S. R.
Very nice food, made with care and thought out. Nice wine choices. Friendly staff.
M. C.
This restaurant is amazing!! The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. Especially our amazing waitress Lucy made our evening impeccable and made us feel like home. The food and wines are absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths.
Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Central London, London Bridge.
J. K.
Stunning food and service. Despite an obviously busy Sunday the whole team were incredibly accommodating & friendly, giving fantastic service throughout. The food quality wasn't at all impacted by the busyness - 4 incredibly delivered roasts, plus starters, sides, desserts and wine all well thought out and executed. Couldn't want for more - thanks and see you again.

Loved my first experience here.
Attentive staff, amazing well presented modern European food.
Definitely going back for a perfectly cooked steak.
V. T.
Amazing ambiance, the food was lovely and testing I never eating like this I will back definitely, and about service was really attentive thank you too REGIANE was helpful, friendly e smiling thank you for the amazing night

The fish menu here is amazing. We went for a lunch and although the online menu has not got lots on it, there were some amazing specials including Turbot, Seabass etc. The food was cooked very well and staff friendly. If you love fish and are willing to pay for it, I'd recommend!!
M.
What a Superb place to eat and enjoy with my friends. The Sunday lunch was just prefect and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Me and my friends had such amazing time there on Sunday and we will be definitely returning very soon.

We went here recently for the first time in about a year. Our previous memory was really good. It had a great menu and the service was really good.
The menu seems to have changed to try and be more towards fine dining with a more limited restaurant and an edge towards fish for the mains. We like fish so it was fine. The food was ok, definitely had better and it’s expensive for what it is.
Service was ok, but equally it was quiet in the restaurant and it wasn’t particularly attentive.
All in all - a bit disappointing. Not sure if it’s changed ownership or just a different direction.

A very cosy pu to go for lunch. The vegetarian Sunday roast was amazing, but the Yorkshire pudding felt like it was in the oven slightly too long so was dry and crispy in places. The carrots, roast potatoes and green beans were also perfect for roast beef roast, but the beef itself, though tasty, had a lot fat rind and some sinew. The staff were polite and efficient.
a. K.
We came as part of a party and the staff were unable to handle our prebooked food orders. Food came out cold and at very different times on our table. Even our sides came 30 minutes after our main so we had no choice but to eat a piece of chicken on it's own. Drinks orders were ok and came quickly but the kitchen organisation seemed terrible.
T. B.
Brunch and cocktails were perfect. Steak and eggs were phenomenal. It’s pricey but a spot on the street to people watch was worth it.
R. M.
Amazing breakfast time with lovely food. Nick and X-Jenny provided exceptional service and very lovely. I definitely recommend eating at the Garrison.

Our team went to The Garrison on this Monday and Regi was helping us with food and drinks. I have to say she is the best!!!! Would definitely come more often.

This was our first dining-out-in-a-restaurant experience since the COVID lockdown in March 2020 and we are so glad it was at The Garrison. They serve an Absolutely delicious vegetarian Sunday Roast dinner! Friendly and attentive service. Safe social distancing between diners. Overall a wonderful dining experience. Support your local restaurants - visit The Garrison soon!
A. G.
Excellent Gastro Pub serving a big selection of Sunday Roasts. Lamb Leg was gorgeous. Excellent Service. Will return.
C. M.
Excellent location. Nice vibes. Good service. Meat portions were the smallest I've ever seen for a £20 main. Maybe that's just the reality these days.
b. c.
We literally cannot say how amazing this place this is!
Your are always so accommodating, professional and amazing!
The food it alway local and sooo amazing.
I love our home in SE16 and u are just simply one of the the best parts of living in south east London.
Keep up the great work and see you again VERY soon 😍😎😍
M. R.
Servir impeccable, food really tasty and well presented, good food and drinks menu. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly recomendes.
R. C.
Awesome spot with a great style. Food was delicious and unique. We just got to our hotel late and were turned away from several places whose kitchens had closed. They left it open a bit longer for us and were super friendly and accommodating still.
T. B.
Fantastic food Staff and management. Delicious food, fresh cocktails
The star was the sour dough bread and smoked butter.
E. T.
Awesome food, god beer and very good services. The place itself is great. A bit noisy perhaps, but it was a busy Friday so no wonder. Will definitely go there again. The beef tartare was well worth the trip.
D. R.
Went for a couple of Sunday roasts, which were great, really really great. Still, they weren’t worthy of the £18 price tag. Those are nigh-on Hawksmore prices and it’s no Hawksmore. Overall with a Bloody Mary and a pint it came to £56. Still, service was great and the place was rammed. Recommend booking in advance. The bill came with a recipe for brownies (see photo) which we duly baked up that evening. Lovely little touch. A very pleasant afternoon.
J. L.
This is a lovely pub with really nice food and a really good variety of options.
Unfortunately it took almost 45 minutes for us to receive our food. The pub only had 4 tables of 2 in at the same time with what appeared to be 5 chefs in the kitchen.
Waiting staff seemed to be more interested in their own lunch.

This is a charming little place with a inviting environment for a good food at a relaxed pace. Found this place as I was biking through south London during a business trip. The street is full of pleasant shops and restaurants and I quickly made a mental note to bring my wife and daughter here next time in town. I came the very next day and was not disappointed. Full and proper English breakfast so very good and the ingredients were perfectly selected. Definitely want to enjoy this place next time with the family.
P. T.
Great spot for dinner and drinks with friends. The food is very good, reasonably priced, and staff are quite lovely. Had a few mishaps with service but probably just an off day. I’d come back to try the rest of the menu!
S. H. T.
Enjoyed a lovely evening with a friend here. I liked the sound of the small plates, so had 2 of those rather than a main. She had the main, a fish dish from the specials menu. Like restaurants low on formality and high on good choice of food and drinks. I had a crab risotto and a beef shin gnocchi, which I enjoyed greatly. Full of flavour and quality cooking.
My only complaint is that it could have been hotter when it arrived, but I do like my food boiling hot. Borderline lukewarm food appears to be a modern restaurant disease. As is loudness caused by hard surfaces. We sat right by the open door (made possible by a rare warm night in London), so was better than if we were sat inside.
Service was wonderful, thanks to Caroline and Amy who served us. Relaxed, efficient and friendly.
J. D.
Note this is a delightful find on what's turning out to be a pub crawl. Good beer. Good service, cracking atmosphere.
Wish I was eating here, the food smells fantastic!
Plenty of diners even on a Friday night.
A. A.
Small, cute, food is only ok.
My medium steak was overdone - dry.
Lemon posset was good, but some cherries felt... Extra zingy.
Toilets are tiny.
Service ok
It's a. Pub, and not a cheap one.
D. Y.
We came here for Sunday Roast. Being North American, I knew this was a British tradition I just had to participate in!
The environment was absolutely wonderful. Extremely cosy and warm. Brings back memories of Sunday dinners at grandmas house.
The food was pretty average. Nothing was horrible, but also wasn't very good. All in all pretty bland. I will say the bread was amazing though.
Overall, great place to spend an afternoon or dinner with some friends in a great environment. Food is not great, so don't come for that.
L. A.
Randomly wandered in late on Valentine's Day for a late dinner and they managed to squeeze us in, so glad they did! We had courgette carpaccio which was fresh and zingy, I had lamb and my boyfriend had the chicken for mains, all delicious! But the standout was the cheesecake we had for dessert - I wish I could remember the full description but it was light and absolutely perfect. Our waiter was lovely too, attentive and friendly but left us alone to enjoy our time there too. We'll definitely be back!
T. R.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, some spaces are a bit tight but adequate.
I’m giving a 3 star because I ordered a single whisky and was given and charged for a double. Thought it was cheeky, especially at these times where even going to a restaurant/ out to eat is that popular.
H. C.
Had a wonderful time in The Garrison at the weekend. Had the bottomless brunch. The food was delicious and the prosecco free flowing but what made this place stand out were the staff. All so friendly, personality filled and fun - they made us all feel so relaxed and welcome. Will definitely be going back.
J. G.
Amazing food. Questionable service… it’s a complicated menu, not super well explained. But if you’re up for an adventure, worth it!
J. T.
I love the food but the waitresses are clueless and the loud music for brunch sittings is incredibly irritating. What a shame. I’m a local but won’t be coming back
E. G.
Had a lovely Full English here. The service was quick and cheerful, and the food and drinks were marvelous! Great menu selection with reasonable prices. The decor is so lovely and antique, the place is full of natural light and cool details, and the staff seem to be genuinely happy and caring.
J. M.
Check the menu, not cheap and it changes often... but I ordered the rib-eye steak, and I could not have asked for it to be cooked any better, even if i telepathically told the chef how I wanted it 👍👍👍
M. H.
Food was good. Service a bit hit and miss. Would have been helpful if they'd told me they'd run out of chips before slapping my steak down in front of me......
J. E.
A lively welcoming pub with a quality kitchen and friendly staff. I was enjoying my lunch so much that I forgot to take photos after my delicious charred mackerel, cured & roast beets, apple, horseradish.
Recommended. Booking advised.
J. L.
Came in for breakfast on a Sunday. Friendly service, but a little slow. Good food; I had the sweetcorn cakes with chorizo jam and goats curd.
A. A.
We were pleasantly surprised by this place. Initially we thought we will have some decent pub food but instead we got amazing gastropub food. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service quite good (albeit I'd spread out the entrees from the main a bit), and the food simply amazing.
S. H.
Actually would have been a much lower review as like a lot of places it looks like they are struggling to train up new staff but all the issues were spotted by the manager who brought dessert on the house and talked for a while. It's a lovely room and also has nice toilets!
D. P.
Great pub and service and an awesome location. Came back here after a long time recently and had a really enjoyable Fish & Chips!
M. B.
I went to this place yesterday with my date. It was a last minute choice. I have to say it was a gem. Service great, food great, ambience great. We both really enjoyed our time there. It was sunny, warm, and busy. Tables are scarce, and the only down point was that we wanted to have our coffee outside but there were no tables free. Didn't spoil the time though. I will definitely go back here.
J. W.
Excellent atmosphere, great Sunday roast, but service has tended to be slow.
ä.
Good drinks, friendly staff, cool place with peaky blinders theme and everything i love it!
M. L.
Nice pub with an outstanding sunday roast
l. O. D.
The Garrison team and pub are absolutely amazing! It was my first visit to The Garrison yesterday and we booked for the cinema screening. My friend and I had the best time- Ollie and Magda were so lovely and attentive, we had the best cocktails (Amaretto Sour was my favourite!) and the cinema was really special experience. What a great impression of the pub- loveliest staff and I will definitely be bringing people here from now on :) Thanks so much
M. F.
So dog friendly! Our pup had been in the car for hours and seemed to have gotten out of the wrong side of the car when we arrived and wanted to let everyone know about it - She did calm down but we couldn't stop apologising and the staff were nothing but understanding and welcoming. We had mentioned on the phone that we were on our honeymoon and they actually bumped us up to a bigger room which was just SO lovely of them, but more than that, they put a bottle of prosecco and two glasses with strawberries in the room for us with a congratulations card. We were FLOORED. It was just so kind and thoughtful of them! We were only staying one night and they made us feel so damn special! That night we had drinks in the bar and our pup got very curious about what our server was bringing over on a tray and knocked the tray out of the poor woman's hand. We have never been so mortified (our pup is a year old but has always been well behaved so we had no idea what got into her that particular day). Had I been that server who got drenched by an over enthusiastic pup, I don't think I could have held it together the way this poor woman did. We apologised profusely and felt so awful about it and she just shrugged it off, said it was absolutely fine and not to worry at all. We must have been the guests from hell and the staff at The Garrison still went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We were thinking of extending our stay but organisation wise we had to move on (luckily for the poor staff at The Garrison).
Room was gorgeous, spacious, well kept and so clean! The bathroom was a huge wet room which was quite unique but also very comfortable. There was ample space for our stuff, including a clothes rail and hangers. The decor is just stunning as well. Every little detail of the room was just on point and matched theme perfectly. Highly recommend!

I usually don’t leave reviews but this time I just had to!! Took a trip from Germany and went to this restaurant and it was definitely worth it, esp since the one who served us, Snow, was so very nice !! She’s been very friendly and attentive and has recommended me and my friends the vinho verde which was rlly amazing!! Will definitely go eat there again if i get to visit once more and hope i’ll be served by Snow again next time !! ☺️
S. E.
Visited for the first time in years and standards have not slipped. Impeccable service, really incredible food, and a lovely atmosphere with the doors and windows open onto the street. Steak was one of the best I’ve had. Special place!
m. h.
Nice staff , good food but overpiced. Everything very expensive for what it is.
F. F.
Lovely little restaurant, great range of gin and the food on the brunch menu is delicious with big portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
K. C.
Great food (we had roast dinner) and fabulous service
S. T.
A favourite of mine! Amazing food, good cocktails and a great wine list.
B.
Amazing fish. Great atmosphere. The new chefs menu is a revelation - haven't been for years but well worth another visit. Service was 5* as well.
F. B.
Cosy and nice decor. The service is excellent and the food was good. Slightly expensive though for what it is.
B. W.
The food here was delicious and just perfect.
The portions were decent, the prices were fine, and the quality was high. My lamb was done just perfectly. The service was also good and very friendly. There was a nice and lively atmosphere. This is also good if you're catching a show in the nearby Bridge Theatre.
L. P.
The food is nice but the value for money is poor…
D. A.
Great lunch and lovely service. Really comfortable atmosphere
J. A.
Best place to eat in Bermondsey Street... We had the table for hours and the staff and food are superb x
T. W.
We were meant to just be going for drinks across the road, but having not booked a table we were turned away at the door. We ended up trying our luck at The Garrison who went out of their way to find space for the two of us. The food was excellent and with the best atmosphere you've found this side of Covid. What a huge result and a surprise find. I'll definitely be going back.
C. S.
I was let down by the food. Fish and chips was more fish and French fries. In the Mediterranean salad, everything looks very oily and taste like it was out of a can. It misses flavour and freshness. The staff is friendly but it’s not an ideal place for families with small kids. No suitable food for them. Their pale ale was great. Unfortunately, I’m not coming back.
A. Y.
Stopped for a drink - ended up having a wonderful meal . Management were fantastic as were all the staff. To top it all off the choice of music was amazing - thank you.
M. C.
I live locally but it’s years since I last ate here, so thought it was time to give it a go again.
As it was 12:30 on a Friday I thought it best to book - but it was surprisingly quiet. This worked to our advantage as service was quick and staff obliging when we asked to move table as diners next to us were a bit overbearing.
The lunch menu is fairly short (that’s fine) so don’t forget to look on the specials board. We only noticed it after ordering as the waiter didn’t mention specials.
I had the spinach & ricotta tortellini and my friend the sea trout ratatouille with a side of chips. Both dishes were tasty - though I thought the portion size of the pasta was slightly small for the price. I liked that unprompted we were served a carafe of tap water.
It wasn’t cheap at £53 for two main courses, one side, one glass of wine and two coffees - would I go back - yes.
K. B.
I live near by so we often pop in as a couple and I have booked it several times for groups of 6 to 8 friends. The staff are lovely and the food is very good and often delicious at the gastro pub level. I like the shabby chic decor and there is a great, fun ambience. I like the fact they have dog friendly tables near the door. Could be lovely perfection in my neighbourhood. The only problem is that they need to turn the music down 2 notches. People go there to eat, drink and most importantly chat. We had to leave one lunch time as we couldn’t hear each other and one evening, with friends, we all had to scream across the table. Not good when one friend had just flown in from France and we hadn’t seen her for years. I know the staff love the music, we do too, but it’s not a night club. Otherwise very nice.
M. C.
I highly recommend The Garrison for both fantastic service and value for money. I had a table booked for 14 for bottomless brunch; they accommodated changes in numbers up until the day itself. The brunch itself was lovely and came out quickly- Prosecco really is unlimited! The staff were attentive and kind, and let us stay at our tables longer than our allocated time. It has a lovely interior and is in a great location to carry on the day.
S. S.
Really kind front of house crew and some seriously amazing food! Even got a chance to meet with the chef (Ani) ..would recommend to all and would definitely visit again!
R. S.
Good for a quick bite to eat. Food better than expected and the place was packed during a lunch time service. They have little booths towards the back, would be nice if they had coat hooks on the wall to hang up our coasts. We had to stuff it at the end on the booth and it took up space as the booths are small. Still minor compared to the good food.
T. Å. L.
Go here for a really good breakfast. They have it all. The atmosphere and the good food. Recommended.
A. W.
Amazing food. Unique menu. Great cocktails. Friendly service. Can't wait to go back.
M. M.
This was a wonderful quaint pub on the famous Bermondsey Street. We visited for Sunday roast and were not disappointed. They managed to accommodate our vegan friend. Our roasts were delicious, beef and chicken with all of the sides! The Yorkshire puddings were a highlight and they brought extra gravy as per our request.
Desserts were delicious, I had the brownie and it was good. Others had ice cream and sorbet.
We explored the downstairs private cinema room where we managed to meet the wonderful kitchen staff who had been working there for several years and managed to express just how much they enjoyed the pub working culture through limited sign language and lip reading (they were hard of hearing)I was pleased to see the progressive attitude of the working culture here.
Highly recommended for Sunday lunch. Will come again when on that side of town. (We visited the pub after Picasso exhibition at the Tate Modern)
A. F.
Delicious food, friendly staff... not so clean
E. M.
9 of us went to The Garrison last night for a team meal. We hired the private dining space downstairs (very reasonable price) so that we could hear each other. It all started well with a fabulous G&T - I’d go back just for that! We had great service and all agreed the food was delicious, I can’t eat gluten but the waiter had this well covered and knew exactly what I could and couldn’t eat, he also had every confidence in the kitchen to adjust anything to my needs. Really impressed - will definitely be going back!
Y. C.
We booked out the cinema room on Sunday for our daughter's first birthday, and we had a fantastic time. The food was amazing (as always), great space, and the staff were really responsive, friendly, and helpful. They definitely know what they're so doing with the Sunday roast as well!
H. T.
Atmosphere was nice, as was the cocktail!
Only a 3* though because the steak was very chewy and wasn't quite worth the price tag. Should have gone for the whole sea bream or the duck!
R. G.
Super place, very chilled, great food and beer
M. F.
Cold night, warm welcoming atmosphere, small but interesting menu. Service was quick and friendly, limited beer and wine, but enough to make choosing a slight problem.
Supposed to be good for breakfast, but traditional haddock, chips and mushed peas was hot, freshly cooked and just what was required. Not bad at all.
D. W.
Haven't been here for a fair few years. Hasn't changed a bit - still cramped. Limited beer selection on tap. Steak was really good (perfectly cooked) - would happily have that again. Sticky toffee pudding though was a shocker - if you like rubbery, microwaved puddings that bounce back (with unsticky sauce) then this is the place to come.
L. W.
Having always loved and recommended The Garrison I was really disappointed by today's visit. Our waiter was very hungover and disguising it badly, managing to be grumpy, slow and forgetful. It was really quiet so all the more frustrating when simple things were forgotten and coffee took 10 minutes to arrive. The food was good, but not particularly inspiring and they committed my pet hate, skimping on cheap ingredients (one small slice of toast with a £10 veggie breakfast, poor). The place has also started to feel a little tired, and could do with a thorough clean, tidy and patch up. Not appalling but no longer on my recommended list.

Lively ambience and polite attending staff 😍
L. M.
Best dessert and coffee! Friendly staff
K.
Great gastro pub! Food has always been amazing, and has been one of my go to places for a Sunday roast. Price seems to have increased slightly but still very tasty roast beef! Was left disappointed when they had run out of two of the desserts, the brownie especially, maybe next time!
S. “. M.
Amazing strip of pubs/restaurants on this road but the The Garrison takes the cake. Be sure to ask for Reggie, best waitress out
G. C.
Good spot. Hosted a Birthday Breakfast here a while back. Friendly staff with a nice chilled environment. They stop serving breakfast at 11am and start brunch from.12.30pm. Portions aren't too big but the quality more than makes up for it.
T. L.
Food was very nice, high standard gastro pub so would recommend it as a venue for a decent dinner rather than a good pub for drinking with food as well. They pack the tables in so it can get a little cramped and the decor is the sort of quirky rustic feel that a lot of places seem to go for. The night we went a few staff were off at apparentlyshort notice so service took a long time. Our waitress also seemed pretty new so didn't quite know what was going on. Brought the wrong wine but insisted it was the right one even the it had a different name and label. Asked us while taking away our starters if we wanted to see the desert menu before even bringing out the mains. We didn't make any big fuss but main waitress put a large discount on the final bill. Think a lot of tables were having problems. Food was good and imagine service is usually good so would go back to give it another try.
C. Q.
Breakfast was good, but not amazing. The experience was going great until they kicked us out because our table seemed to be the only one with a reservation, when we could see at least 10 of them completely empty. Apparently this was due to the brunch time slot, but I was having brunch too. I just got there early. Maybe I wanted to spend my money on another £5 small beetroot juice or a £3 bread soldier.
S. J.
We celebrated my brother’s 50th birthday in the private dining room, AKA the cinema room, at The Garrison. We wanted a space just for us so we could enjoy each other’s company without impinging on others. The room was perfect for us. We had a lovely meal, really delicious fresh food. We were served by Magda who made us feel so welcome. I’ll be returning and can recommend the pub, food, service and room. Thank you very much for making it a special day for my brother and his family.
Z. S.
Lovely gastro pub with table service in dining area. Ordered ox tongue with beetroot and horseradish. Boyfriend order pork belly with chorizo and sauerkraut. Both really delicious. Service very friendly. Busy over the Christmas period which added a nice atmosphere. Sides were a bit overpriced for the size of them though. My only criticism.
G. K.
The atmosphere is very cool, classic British with cool music and some liberty decor. Service amazing and the food was outrageous. We had Turkey roast and sirloin roast. Cooked perfectly and flavory! And do we want to talk about the dessert? We took a Sticky toffee pudding .... it's like a million calories that blows your mind away! wow wow wow!! So glad we chose this place for our Sunday dinner :)
F. W.
Poor service, cold coffee, poached eggs also cold. Juice they said was fresh but ‘made by one of our suppliers’ but it was definitely just standard from concentrate. Waited for minutes before someone actually acknowledged us when we walked in, and they didn’t look that busy. Gave us a table then moved us saying people had reserved two tables next to each other. They then arrived and sat on only one table. Except for the cold poached eggs, the food was the redeeming feature, great fish and chips, though with a small thimble of mushy peas... burger and tricolore salad both delicious.
P. S.
We went for Sunday roast. Very cosy, warm, characterful, good atmosphere and layout. Food was 6/10 - it wasn't amazing but wasn't bad. Generous portions. Would I go here again? Yes for the pub/drinks, no for food.
T. K.
Fun decor, warm atmosphere, and a standout, personable staff. The Garrison is a great place for English classics with a bit of a high-brow twist, but not too much :) The steak is a must-order! Dessert menu is out of this world! A nice, cozy neighborhood spot for a nibble.
P. R.
Lovely atmosphere, great food (a limited menu which for me always means they actually think about their food and it’s true) and honestly some of the best service I’ve had in London. Definitely go !!!
N. P.
If your hungry (and not vegetarian) get the lamb! It was beautiful!!!

+ lovely interior, + changing menu, - noisy, - pricey
The Garrison was a friend’s recommendation and we followed it on a Friday night. The place was packed though it still wasn’t dinnertime and my companions and I were given a time slot for dinner since we didn’t have a reservation.
A first look at the menu indicated that The Garrison isn’t cheap but a second look inside convinced me to give this upscale pub a try. I was really impressed by the mix of pub, restaurant and living room atmosphere that in total looked like a sophisticated old school dollhouse. Since The Garrison is Michelin recommended I was even more curious about the food. Next to the menu it offers daily changing dishes.
Our little group tried the fish, chicken, and tartar (everything around £12-18) and I personally have to say that it was tasteful but didn’t put my socks off like the pizza at Pizza East or the burger at The Dean Swift. Maybe my expectations were too high or the pints were adulterating my taste.
Overall I liked the atmosphere and interior, the food as well, though I expected more, and would return next time I am in London.

Went for lunch. Was good food and service. Would go again
D. M. B.
lovely staff, quick and professional service. no rush for table. food exquisite and good value for money. will defo be a regular spot.
L. P.
The food is okay but too expensive for what it is, the portions are small and the meat arrived somewhat cold.
T. F.
Had Sunday lunch there as a group of 12 just before Christmas, the place was rammed both when we arrived and left. As such a large group at a busy time of year I wasn't expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. The main (spare rib) was excellent, service coped admirably and cheerfully given how busy it was, all food arrived at the same time and no mistakes were made (though a couple of not quite finished drinks did disappear in their rush to keep the table clear). Would happily go back.
A. H.
It's a nice gastro pub in bermondsey area. They offer nice quality of food.
J. F.
I really like it here. The menu is a very weird combination of quite gastro/experimental appetizers and some delicious hearty pub food - the chicken and avocado sandwich is huge and amazing, the burger is also very good. Specials change constantly, atmosphere is chatty and vibrant and the staff are efficient. Great spot on Bermondsey St, pretty easy to get a table too.
D. G.
The staff is nice and the food options and drinks are great. Best place for a bunch! Thanks Regiana for the service :)
B. S.
Stunning food, nice and cozy

10-May-2018 update: Yes, the noise was still an issue for me but it quickly disappeared once the wine started pouring in. I didn't see any wine list the last time I was at the Garrison but what I saw last night was a good, decent list. As always, I went for the daily specials but I missed out on the starters as the croquette was gone. Had the pig's head croquette and the charred mackerel as starters. Yum! Main, the sea bream and the lamb. Yum, yum! Now let me tell you about the dessert. Hot chocolate cake with salted caramel topped with a scoop of ginger ice cream. My head just exploded. Food at this amazing place is consistently good and I'll keep coming back even just for the ginger ice cream.
Great place! Let me start by saying something about the staff. They were just nice and friendly and accommodating! The service was amazingly fast. All that, complemented with yummy food = happy days. The lambchops special - yum! The bass - tasty! Go for the daily specials. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the noise. Maybe the place can invest in some sound proofing?
The place gets packed so I suggest you make reservations.
P. S.
Food was great. The seating at the high bar was uncomfortable.
J. W.
Booked the basement for a birthday party, and it was great. Very well looked after, great drinks and the staff were so patient and helpful throughout!
A. M.
Service was quick and they found us a table despite being heavily booked. Food came fast, and was absolutely delicious. Meals and drinks were reasonably priced. A great little place to have dinner. However, slightly crowded and noisy.
D. V.
Great service - I’ve been to this pub few times and had always a good experience and service. Something went wrong with my breakfast today and the waiter did not hesitate on putting it on the house. Will come back and keep recommending.
A. S.
Charming little place well located on trendy Bermondsey St 10-12 minutes walk from London Bridge tube station. Refreshing pre-dinner cocktails (try the Hugo). Food was okay. The puddings were delicious (brownies were lovely, as was the Eton Mess). Service was good. We booked in advance and recommend you do because it gets crowded.
N. S.
We've stumbled into this place by accident and have enjoyed every minute. A casual place, nice food, some dishes looked great and appetizing. Though we have entered pretty late, about an hour before closing time - service was friendly and very patient!
This is a kind of a place you'd like to return over and over, to check what's new with the menu and dwell in it's atmosphere...
J. G. (.
Good bottomless brunch with no slacking on the repours, slightly limited menu and very runny mash with the sausages, but otherwise very good. Steak tartare and mackrell starters particularly good, as was the fish and chips main.
B. Y.
My favourite local gastro pub in SE1. Located in middle of Bermondsey Street. About 10 minutes walk from Wilds Rent SE1 where I stayed this summer.
It caters for the young and trendy professional living in the area. But also a great place to meet up with friends and family. There are probably other pubs with a better selection of beers in the area but the food here is very good. Good choices in the menu. I recommend the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding from the Sunday Roast menu. The breakfast available here is also very good.
Very popular with locals and recommend reservations. It is on my list of things to do the next time I visit London.
L. H.
Love borough high street. It is full of lovely boutique restaurants and this one was a perfect find. We had a family dinner here and the food was wonderful. I would return back here anytime I am over near London Bridge. You need to book as it is a popular place.
M. F.
This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. I brought my parents here for an early dinner after a performance at The Globe and they just loved it. The seasonally changing menu emphasizes fresh, local ingredients and innovative twists on English cuisine. The intimate atmosphere and shabby-chic decor make The Garrison feel like a home away from home.
R. Y.
With a handful of other English Breakfasts to compare with, the Garrison's was by far the best. Tomatoes that were actually grilled, not the luke warm, cooked in their own juices, you find else where. Large, thick, slice of mushroom and everything else just great. Friendly staff.
S. J.
This is a gem of a pub. Good craft beer and excellent food. Salt Marsh lamb was Devine! Booths at the back are very intimate. Service was attentive. Definately somewhere I will be returning to. $$ for cost.
N. J. P.
Brilliant atmosphere with such a friendly buzz about the place. The menu has a good selection of food, but some prices are a tad high for what it is. The fish and chips are brilliant! Good enough choices of drinks and the service cannot be faulted. I'll be back as a regular
C. G.
We had the basement room . Starter was soup and warm and average. Main course was Turkey with all the trimmings and pretty good. Sticky toffee pudding was ok. Mince pies I didn't get round to. Staff were friendly. Wine was ok but I stayed on beer. Probably not for foodies.
d. o.
This is a Great place to go! Fantastic cosy atmosphere! Excellent variety of Food! I love the vintage style and the people going there. Nice to go every night of the week and the area is very trendy! Once I had mini duck burgers salad and was so tasty, never had one before! I highly recommended it!
B. L.
One of the many boutique modern bistros in the Bermondsey Street.
I come on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy its beef Sunday roast - a very fine experience accompanied by good selection of wine. Beef is cooked just right, roasted vegetable done just to the right amount and Yorkshire pudding massive and of the right texture.
Tried a bite of friend's chicken option and found it rather dry and not as tasteful unfortunately.
The restaurant uses a lot of interesting furniture but seems to be fitting too much in too little space. There just isn't sufficient room to move around at most tables, but on the other hand this problem is common across most restaurants on this street.
Staff is friendly and hospital; the 2 men's urinals are uncomfortably close together (even though it is clean and has a nice design).
K. M.
Wonderful restaurant and brilliant service! We had the special (cod & chickpeas cassoulet) 😍 and it was delicious. Thank you!
N. V.
Went here after work with a friend! I was concerned about having vegan friendly options. There was nothing to worry about! A beautiful fresh baby gem salad with radishes, cardamom carrots, and pinot Grigio 👌🏼 Great way to end the night!
J. S.
The food at the Garrison is consistently brilliant. The private dining room offers a great space for a meal with friends. Wonderful evening and the service for our group was exemplary. Thank you.
A. T.
I cannot praise them enough. We sat down and decided to eat elsewhere as we were looking for a light dinner. They chased us down the road as I left my phone in the pub. Service exceptional regardless of customer choices. Thank you
J. L.
Went to The Garrison for lunch before Christmas and was really happy with the quality of the food and the service. Despite our continual questions (specifically how much cheese was in one starter, would it really be enough to share or should we just get one each?!) our waiter was very helpful and our group of eight left very happy and full.
N. D.
This place on Bermondsey street serves very good food! Interier of restaurant and atmosphere is very nice, very vintage! It is always busy, but they do very tasty breakfast, classics as Sunday roast and they have menu every evening. It is little bit expensive but you will be satiafied.
A. M.
I really love this place! The decor is really quirky and the food is fantastic. It is good value, especially relative to nearby options, and given the quality of the food. Highly recommend it for small group dinners although does require booking in advance!
O. W.
Like this place very much but why on earth did they stop serving their fish and chips? Best in town then they take it off their menu! Why???
K. L.
Quite nice once you ignore the braying hipsters.
Food is good, the breakfasts satisfying and they've even got a small cinema in the basement. Having to book a table for a pub is a bit over the top and The Garrison just isn't that good to warrant too much effort in doing so, but worth a visit during the quieter times
A. C.
After work treat for a colleague's birthday, the food is delicious, if not a tad expensive for the portion sizes. The atmosphere was live and buzzing full of post-work dates and gossiping friends, with the intimate space and candlelit bare wood tables lending itself to that environment. Downstairs, they have a cute cinema room that only seats 22 around a circular sofa, and on Sundays, you can go there for a free movie and popcorn.
P.
Really nice pub, had the Christmas vegetarian option for dinner, which was tasty, however bit on the stingy side, essentially was a sweet potato Wellington, sprouts and puree....a few potatoes would've have been nice, especially if paying £12.50. Otherwise, would still go again.
L. B.
Went here for a friends birthday, she had hired out the 'Cinema' room downstairs which was really nice, after seven we had to move upstairs and we were then moved from table to table as other reservations arrived which was a little annoying considering the bar tab at the end of our stay.
They have a good selection of food and snacks, I had a fish finger sandwich which was served on basic white bread which was a little disappointing but I guess that they just ran out of the good stuff!
The ambiance and the bar staff however seemed very nice, it had a good vibe but was a little cramped for my liking with small tables that we had to squeeze around. But would recommend for a date or a small group!
N. L.
Great little pub with very delicious food and great service! Highly recommend the Sunday Roast here as it was delicious when I ate it. Also I recommend trying the beef tartare as it was just as delicious and tasty.
D. C.
Big crowds during peak periods. But worth a visit because it is one of the best gastro pub in SE1 if not London. The food is very good. Recommend the breakfast on a lazy Saturday morning or the roast beef on the lunch menu.
F. W.
Great food and lovely staff/atmosphere.
A. V.
Surprisingly nice food for a pub, the Breakfasts deserve a special mention, it's up there as best on the B Street though Village East also goes after this accolade.
Coffee is a little weak.
The downstairs space is very nice, they often screen films as well, typically cult classics like Ferris Bueller or Wayne's World.
Mid week lunch time can get a little busy with the mothers and babies.
N. G.
Always loved this place. Food is up a notch from last time
R. L.
Really enjoyed the food and service. Also pleasently quiet as it's further away from the main borough market and London bridge area. I would have given it 5 stars if it had better options for allergies or special dietary requirements!
D. P.
Fabulous food, what a find!
Fantastic staff, we were really looked after.
F. W.
We came here for breakfast on Sunday, the food was tasty and a good portion size. Breakfast finishes quite early so we had to order quickly but it was tasty.
J. G.
Good little gastropub on Bermondsey Street. The beer selection isn't particularly wide (though they do have Sam Adams on tap, which is noteworthy) but their food is very delicious. Great for a date or a sunday lunch with Mum and Dad, but they are consistently booked up with a very small space, so be sure to reserve beforehand
N. D.
Little gem with great food, excellent service, good wines and all at a reasonable price. Relaxed informal interior and decor with mixed cosy seating and view of open kitchen. Didn't go downstairs to check that as the World Cup was being shown!
S. B.
Delightful place. Cupboard has notes/letters from strangers to read. Coffee is excellent.
T. W.
The Garrison is great for good quality gastropub food. They do everything from coffees & full English for breakfast through to salmon wellington and a wide selection or wines & bubbly in the evening. Although I like popping in for a beer and fish finger sarnie.
Go here for the secret cinema's Sunday films at 7.30, check out there website for listings.
E. K.
Lively place. Very nice Sunday roast and lovely service
S. B.
Crayfish salad was divine! Wonderful, quiet little spot with lovely service & selections that fit a dairy-free, wheat-free diet. Delightful & worth a trip off the beaten path.
R. H.
Reasonable food, with friendly service but feels quite overpriced. Bottomless brunch on Sunday’s seems very popular which results in very noisy afternoons and slow service. Booking is advised.
M. G.
Now, 5 stars are reserved for exceptional places, so don't let the missing one fool you in this instance.
The Garrison is a deliciously placed pub in a rather quaint part of town. Bermondsey is enjoying a recent cultural revival due to its growing craft beer industry and this pub is a fine example of how an eatery can take advantage by complimenting strong, hop-based beverages with a variety of tasty cuisine.
It's unique decor feels like you are inside of a Cath Kidston themed film with a buzzing atmosphere to boot. Honest and fun; the perfect place for an informal romantic meal.
Go check it out.
N. P.
Food always good but was a little below par today as two friend who asked fo stakes to be medium recieved one medium rare and the other on the rare side. Which then caused additional delay but was fixed, otherwise a very decent meal.
K. H.
Visited for the bottomless brunch. Delicious food & good amount of Prosecco. Try not to be in a tucked away table as it's easy to be forgotten (out of sight out of mind).
J. M.
Came in for a quick drink before having dinner, fairly loud and busy. Service was good but didn't stay long as not much space. Prices pretty standard for the area
J. S.
Best eggs benedict I ever had. Very lively place, rather place a reservation. Big recommendation for the espresso martini to kickstart the day.
M. T.
The absolute best burger I have ever eaten. Friendly staff and very casual comfortable atmosphere. A Michelin Star restaurant 2017 & 2018. Very affordable.
R. K.
This place would have stayed at 5 stars if it wasn't for the low-maintenance job they have done on the beer garden, lost character and I feel like a battery hen out there. The food is excellent and the staff are always friendly. Great bastion of Bermondsey Street
T. M.
Been here before and it was good. Less so this time. Fresh orange juice was not, so sent it back. Coffee was bitter. English Breakfast was fine. Staff are friendly.
A. C.
I'm not sure gastropub is the right term - it's really a restaurant and you usually need to book. But the food and atmosphere is superb, vibrant and fun. Always seems to be throbbing in a casual style. Thoroughly recommended.
S. W.
Not great. Food over cooked and expensive. Vegetarian roast really lacked flavour and potatoes were old with overcooked old chips too. Small portions for £17-19 a roast. Wouldn't go back!
A. L.
Delicious breakfast and pleasant "cafe in a pub" atmosphere in the mornings. Had the poached eggs and chill avocado. Eggs were poached to perfection. Friendly staff too.
J. H.
Amazing fish and chips. Very good quality and bustling with life. If you dislike immigrants then avoid it, because customers are diverse and great fun.
W. L.
Gorgeous settings to hang out for a few drinks and have a meal in this gastro pub. Came here for lunch and had an excellent meal. Great choice of drinks to pair with the meals. The service was also excellent.
S. L.
Nice place for a drink and people watching. We had the seasonal sangria; it was just perfect.
A. Z.
This is a really nice pub in the Bermondsey area. It's quite busy on a Friday night but the staff are really helpful and they managed to find us a seat. The food was great!
C. P.
This is a favourite place to go on a Sunday - food is great and the staff are so helpful and kind - feel very lucky to have it on our doorstep, sets us up nicely for the coming week!
G. F.
More chic style in a hip location.
More of a restaurant feel than a pub mind.
C. F.
I had an enjoyable evening here but I feel like The Garrison is taking its foot off the gas - every time I go there I see the standard dropping a little. Please don't let it slide. You've got a good business but don't get complacent :)
R. J.
Had a really tasty Sunday roast (it had really good flavours) and the service was fab. A good vibe to the place too
C. P.
Absolutely fab bottomless brunch. Menu choices were decent, food was excellent and the bubbles kept coming. Recommended!
I. M.
Not as good as it once was. Ran out of most things on the menu on a sat night. Inexperienced staff overcharged our bill. Hate to say it, but was much better when it was a hipster hang out!
E. W.
What a find.
I can't thank the team enough for looking after me today... a wet cold miserable day was made perfect by fresh home made and tasty reasonably priced food plenty of Prosecco and the ability to work without being disturbed, in my own little corner!
All finished with a wonder woman costume change in the loo😂😂😂
Can't wait to come back x
S. G.
Good location, nice cosy atmosphere for a glass of wine at/close to the bar. Keep it simple, don’t over think it, not much else to be said at the end of the day
D. X.
Excellent gastopub, food is always incredible, fresh ingredients, very good staff, excellent vibes, locals and tourists mixed all together. No wonder they are featured as BIB on the Michelin guide
I. M.
very cosy corner pub, a bit pricey
P.
The Garrison is an institution on Bermondsey street, and for good reason. Quirky interior, friendly staff, fantastic food. Always worth a visit for a pint and a roast, or a luxurious weekday breakfast.
I. K.
Awesome place, if you need a breakfast than this is the place for you.
Some portions are kinda small but delicious!
L. V.
Really enjoyed the dinner, nice food great place awesome staff, had really good service by Sarah really planning to come back soon! 👍🏼
I. L.
Great food but always quite busy & crammed full. It has lost a bit of its charm these past years and got noticeably more expensive but the food and wine selection are still great.
G. F.
Very cosy atmosphere, nice staff, good food. Maybe some plates can improve but overall it’s recommended!
Great pub.
C. S.
Really excellent food. I had the lamb from the specials board with dauphinoise potatoes. Meat was expertly cooked, as were sides. Good wine too.
M. R.
Came here to celebrate someone's birthday and we were all very pleased with the quality of food and the good service. Not one of us had any complaints/remarks about any of the many different dishes we ordered
J. O.
Very decent food. The front of house staff are often distracted so the timing of placing an order is hit and miss.
K. F.
Lovely place with smooth atmosphere, nice service and delicious food.
B. #.
Amazing restaurant for lunch or dinner, great service and quality/price ratio. Don't bother for Sunday roasts though, it's really below average.
G. L. P.
The Garrison is a gastro pub with a little more to it than might first meet the eye, for beneath this quaint gastropub, you’ll find your own little screening room. You can hire it for yourselves for up to 20 people – 25 for dinner or 30 for drinks. There’s also a free Sunday night film club from 7.30pm each week.
In its former incarnation back before Bermondsey Street was the cool foodie place it is now, The Garrison was known as the Honest Cabbage and there were regular spars with the patrons of the pub across the road – and supposedly a couple of holes the in frontage are old bullet holes.
And a couple of little tips off for you: choose table 1 for a super cosy nook for four or check out the words of wisdom in the secret drawers on tables 7 or 16.
S. O.
Phenomenal Sunday roast and great service. Seating designed for skinny people though if in a booth. Not very cumfortable.
G. D.
Food was amazing as was service. Also the drinks are delightful
T. K.
Fantastic meal and excellent service. Thanks for a great evening.
Kindest Terry
W. C.
Ordered steak. Was a bit tough and overpriced for what it was. Service was really quick and reasonably friendly. Nice beer on tap.
T. M.
Nice place to go for a Sunday roast and a yummy cheesecake.
S. H.
Been here twice recently-Breakfast,which was excellent and drinks-friendly service, quality ingredients and nice atmosphere-will return for dinner soon.
D. Z.
Really enjoyed our meal here. Very friendly staff, and good food. Good atmosphere. Recommended.
C. B.
The food was out of this world! Delicious food and very friendly staff. It's a nice little place to have a relaxed dinner!
B. K.
Great pub with good selection of beers and friendly staff members.
A. C.
Great Service, great ambience and the steak dish is superb!
N. H.
Great breakfast options. Very good coffee.
I can highly recommend that poached eggs with crispy kale and bacon.
S. L.
Booked out the Cinema Room for a 1 year old birthday party, the staff were great with all the baby related issues on the day.
A. C.
Meh. It’s an ok enough place with a good vibe but food has generally been a disappointment every time I’ve been there.
There is much better food to have in Bermondsey Street.
S. v. T.
Really lovely place for food, it's better than gastro pub!!!! Great service, staff are brilliant and good very tasty - thanks for helping us out tonight guys!!
C. A.
Great roast! Would do it again
s. v.
Lovely vintage design and very tasty food. Always top service here. Lovely karaoke nights too
A. M. N.
The beef tartar was amazing and the lamb incredible, but the masterpiece was Catalina who made us feel incredible!
S. T.
Good for brunch on a Sunday. Got busy around 11am, so if you don’t have a booking - be sure to get there before.
H. B.
Had another lovely chicken roast dinner here and the chocolate brownies are to die for. There could be more vegetables on the roast dinner but all in all great food.
C. d. M.
I found the service to be a little standoffish / unfriendly and the menu quite dull.
For atmosphere and better value I would recommend The Woolpack Pub opposite.
W. L.
Starters (steak tartare and grilled octopus) were nice. Fish and chips - quality fish, but too salty and oily, and slightly overpriced.
S. “. C. I. N. C. I.
Decent enough food staff very nice but they're a bit precious about closing time so get there early
I. S. V.
Traditional English food with very good ingredients. Cosy atmosphere, great g&ts and wonderful Sunday roast.
K. P. A.
Good food and atmosphere, and didn't break the bank. Staff all exceptional thank you for a lovely evening.
A. I.
Good food in heart of Bermondsey Street. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Food is on expensive side and beer selection is limited.
T. T.
Amazing quality of food in a setting that is comfortable and relaxing. Definitely one of the best places in SE London to eat and drink. Would recommend this to all!
M. Z.
Lovely pub, with great wine selection. We enjoyed the food too. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
V. B.
Delicious food, good service. It is very popular so can be difficult to find a table. Book in advance.
C. B.
The Garrison sleek authentic trendy and very difficult to get a table at times this place perfectly blend local hipster-couture with rustic pub given absolutely unique.
A. E.
Wonderful little breakfast spot, good coffee, food and ambiance. Small place, so if you have that in mind you will not be disappointed
C. G.
Strolling along the Thames, around London Bridge? Fancy a break away from the tourists with a vintage feeling to it? Make an escape towards Bermondsey Street. The first part of the street does not have much interest for a while then it suddenly turns into a lovely selection of independant boutiques (even a glass blowing one), foodie shops, a florist with a sense of humour, the Fashion and Textile Museum and the White Cube Gallery. There also is The Garrison, between adorable café and pub with its retro atmosphere, its mismatched chairs, its 50ies style lampshades, a light made of a bunch of teacups, a hundred details that make it quite a fascinating scene. Go there for a coffee, a glass of wine, breakfast, a gorgeous meal chosen from their refined menu or… even a movie in their private projection roon on Sunday nights!
B. H.
This is a bery nice gastro pub. Located in the heart of Bermondsey. Interesting, albeit slightly pricey, menu. Decent cocktails.
J. S.
Decent food but has gone downhill recently. Still a fun place to eat, check the drawers for other diners' receipt messages
L. B.
The food was really good, but the service, though nice and kind, was sort of pushing probably due to the mounting crowd that wanted to be seated.
B. t.
Food good our waiter Enzo was great!
N. B.
Ok, but pretty uninspiring. Pretty odd interior with a mismatched front and back of the pub. Food ok, but ultimately pretty small portions and not a great fat lot going on
J. B.
Nice place food ok. Bit stuck in gastro pub land - not great pub or great restaurant but quite ok at each.
A. K.
An underground cinema! A wild boar head! An Africa Corps veteran with full tache! OK, it's very fancy pants, but the negroni had a perfect strip of orange peel, and the waitress was pure charm when kicking us out for the next table.
G. S.
Better than I expected. I had the rib eye steak, which was tender and cooked as I'd requested. The staff were friendly and patient.
G.
Quaint set up, attentive staff, really great British style food and value for money to. Recommend to all.
O. T.
Average food, pretentious menu, overpriced, nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
J. F.
Beautiful Place and polite staff.
Decorated with taste.
Good coffee served.
Great location luminous and comfortable.
A. S.
Delicious food, beautiful spot
A. M.
Lovely staff, excellent food, and fantastic decor. Maybe a bit pricey, but totally worth it!
F. N.
Very strong gastropub. Very good Sunday roasts. Worth a visit. It can be busy at lunch time on weekends...
E. S.
Fantastic food, a great place to bring visitors and rest assured they will have a great meal and love the atmosphere
S. W.
Incredible roast dinner. Pair the beef with the Merlot, you will not be disappointed
A. S.
Great foodie pub. Not the best beer selection but food great and nice atmosphere.
C. S.
Nice. Second time I've been in but the first time I've had food. Food was excellent, really enjoyed it.
J. D.
Great food, with friendly staff. Not cheap but not expensive. Definitely worth a visit
G. v. A.
I've only been for brunch and unfortunately it isn't anything special. The full English is what you'd expect but nothing truly exciting about it.
Service can be on the slow side.
J. G.
Great experience here, knowledgeable staff and huge selections
H. B.
Really tasty dinner but a little bit expensive for what it was I thought. Cocktails and location were great.
l. d.
Fantastic service and really yummy breakfasts. Nice atmosphere and great interior design pieces
R. H.
Always too crowded so a lot of bumping. Food is only average but they do a fantastic pint of Guinness.
J. J.
Came here for a drink, excellent range. Excellent atmosphere. Great for a catch up with friends.
J. T.
Good ribeye and fries. Nice place but I'd go elsewhere if you could find something more desirable.
K. L.
Great food. Safe environment. Fantastic staff
J. W.
Head the fish and chips. Excellent. The beers ok did not have a dark as I prefer but good selection
E. K.
Delicious breakfast dishes and very friendly staff. The surrounding neighborhood is worth exploring as well.
S. A.
Fantastic food, great service too. Fully recommend the bottomless brunch
C. m.
Bottomless brunch was amaizing. Good food and all the prosecco you eat drink.
C. A.
I've been here twice for food now and it has been delicious both times. They also show movies on a Sunday night, which are free to attend.
M. B.
We like this place great food good service
M. L.
Very Covid-19 safe, friendly staff and doggy friendly if booked ahead.
S. B.
Imagine a cozy English pub but with great food and a knowledgeable but not snooty local crowd. Crowded so book, but go.
P. M. L.
More of a restaurant than a pub but food looks really nice.
f. m.
Food is delicious, service is very friendly and atmosphere is great, highly recommended
E. H.
Really nice pub, good service and good food. Have been many times and never disappointed.
P. J.
Decent Sunday roast but limited choice of Ales. Possibly a post lockdown restriction.
A. G.
I come here for game and suggestive evenings. I've rarely been disappointed by the food and the staff are friendly.
M. H.
£19 sirloin Sunday lunch was very fatty, pork didn't come with crackling, sorry, won't be back in a hurry!
T. H.
Easily the best place for lunch on Bermondsey Street. Beautiful gastropub with a great and exciting menu and cool design to boot.
M. W.
Great place for a lazy lunch and can highly recommended the Esspresso Martini. Great staff especially Rob who looked after us.
B. S.
Meal was nice, but prices appeared to have gone up and then VAT was added on top at the end......
P. H.
Outstanding three course dinner with wine and coffee. £50 per person.
C. S.
Excellent food and ambience.
m. k.
Excellent meal. Great service and great buzzy atmosphere x
C. G.
The food here was amazing. Brilliant gastropub on trendy Bermondsey street. LOVE!
S. M.
Limited but good quality menu. A good place for dinner with friends.
S. B.
Excellent food, reliably short menu, great service
E. W.
