Reviews of The Hercules, Lambeth

Just a short walk from the lovely attraction of The London Eye / Houses of Parliament on the River. Nice vibe and feel about the place.
Plenty of beers on tap and soft drinks available.
We had the buttermilk chicken burger which was lovely ( and the sauce had a nice little
Kick ( heat ) to it ) didn't get much chips which was disappointed but the few I had did taste nice. Not sure if they were triple cooked as advertised though. Recommend the pub if your in the area ( working or as a tourist )

Straight of a train journey from Birmingham Into this pub for a Sunday roast. Bit more expensive than Birmingham but expected that been in the capital (roast beef dinner £19.00) but food was really really good. Service was great and the pub was very welcoming and friendly . Highly recommend will be going back before we leave

❤️ Imposing corner pub and a good place to start a crawl around Lambeth North Tube.
.
As you exit Lambeth North Tube there are a couple of pubs dead opposite on either side of the station to aim for, The Hercules caught my eye and I decided that this would be my first pub on a crawl around the area. This pub really stands out in the crowd amongst the surrounding buildings primarily due to the stunning paint job and the signage.
.
I visited here with a few mates on one of our lads days out which at aged 50 are now few and far between. I shouted up the first round which turned out to be the most expensive of the day and my pint of Asahi was very expensive, don’t get me wrong Asahi is a lovely drop of lager and I really enjoy it but the price point is too high for me. The pub however does have an extensive range of beers to cater for all palates and the more adventurous beer drinkers. The pub is open plan and is set out with bench tables which makes for a very sociable environment, there is also an upstairs bar which can be hired out for private functions. There is plenty of outside space which is where we sat as there were covid restrictions at the time but it was a lovely day anyway and outside there is plenty going on at this busy junction.
.
The @herculesse1 is a decent pub in a great location offering a good selection of beers in quality surroundings. I do however question the price point here purely based on the prices charged by the five other local pubs visited this day, that said, I would recommend a visit here.

Exceptional breakfast, wonderful service - a very pleasant surprise for a pub we just walked into off the street with no expectations. Smashed avocado and poached egg was superb (so much so, I didn’t even think to take a photo! Thank you! 👍🏻

I was visiting London for leisure and found The Hercules while planning the day. Easy to book a reservation on their website. Service is always on top of things, so we never had to call a server. Although, they did not know their line-up for guest taps at first. I got the steak and mushroom shortcrust pie. It was really delicious. I would go to any of the Fuller's Kitchen restaurants to eat.

Big big fan of this place… easily the best craft place near Waterloo!
Decent options on tap (usually 2 of three gems) but the real gold is in the fridges.. loads of American IPA’s to get stuck into from Equillibrium and Other Half.
Always a good atmosphere in here, good looking and pub and the staff are always on top form.. the lad behind the bar (possibly the manager) is always class… dead helpful and a good laugh.. makes a nice change to hair such lovely and friendly staff in a craft place
Get yourself here!!

The beer selection is excellent and the staff were friendly.
Unfortunately the food was really below the standard expected, even for a typical Fuller's pub. We had the fish which was overcooked and the chicken burger which was really only the size of one small tender.
Recommend for drinks, definitely not for food.

We were looking for a reasonably priced, good quality pub whilst on our weekend away in London. We were staying relatively close to The Hercules, so decided to give it a go.
The food was reasonably priced, especially for London prices, the beer was fresh too. A bit pricey compared to what I’m used to paying but again, it’s London, you come to expect that.
The quality of the food was great. Fresh ingredients used. I had the Burger, it came in good time and was a lovely, filling meal.
My partner had the Belly Pork Sunday Roast and she thoroughly enjoyed that too.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, brilliant quality meal.

Dropped in at 10am for a pint and asked for a fish n chips. They were kind enough to accommodate.
Food was tasty AF.
Recommended for a stop! Would definitely come back
