Reviews of The Ivy Cafe Blackheath
B. P.
Great evening spot for dinner with family and loved ones. To start I thought this restaurant was going to be a disappointment, the entrance host had a capricious persona and did not make us feel welcome. However this was turned around by the waitress and supervisor who were fab! The interior of this restaurant is very nice, the seating and tables are very comfortable and presented well. We had 45 minutes to eat and go, the waitress helped advise what was good etc. Food came out in under 15 minutes. The squid was very tasty. I went safe and ordered fish and chips, the batter on the fish was light and crispy, chips were soft inside and crispy outside. The meal hit the right spot, an excellent experience leaving us wanting to come back very soon.

Food was delicious, service was outstanding. The only issue I found was it was too crammed. I've been to other Ivy Cafe's and this just felt like there were too many tables in the small space.

My wife brought me here for my birthday brunch and it was a fun meal overall. Food was good, restaurant is well decorated and fun but the service is seriously lacking. Snobby waiters forgetting that service can make or break a meal and need training on how to serve correctly, I definitely expected more from an Ivy. We also had to wait a long time for everything we ordered whilst tables were served quicker that order after us. As a result our food was often colder than it was meant to be.
We had the Crispy Duck Salad which was extremely tasty and packed with flavour but maybe a tad over cooked, a few pieces of duck went past crispy to hard.
My wife had the tempura prawns but they arrived very wet and soggy, not crisp like tempura is meant to be. They were tasty but would have been more enjoyable if hot and crisp.
For our mains we had the Blackened Cod and Eggs royale with chips. My eggs royale was very tasty and the eggs were spot on, and the chips were good. My wife's blackened cod wasn't really blackened cod. It was closer to cod in a teryaki sauce! Very disappointed in that dish.
Overall I won't be back due to poor service and long wait times but the food was good. Next time I'll try the Ivy in Canary Wharf as I've heard better things.
S. B.
Very delicious, beautiful ambiance. Special treat for my birthday breakfast. Seemed rather busy which flustered the staff slightly
J. H.
Incredible food with a wide menu to choose from. Great cocktails. Beautiful setting with wonderful service. Couldn't fault a thing and will definitely be back.
I.
The food was nice, however what let me down was the forgetfulness with the service. They forgot my brothers Gin and tonic as well as the 2 orders of chips we ordered with our mains. My husband ended up just eating the blackened cod on its own which resulted in us having to buy more food elsewhere. The best part of the experience was the roasted scallops at the start of the meal.

Went here for breakfast it was a nice looking breakfast but I found a hair and could not eat it. They were very good when I pointed it out. I was asked if I would like another but I said no. We were not charged for the breakfast or my coffee.I must say the pot of coffee was the nicest coffee I have had. I would have given five stars had I been able to eat the breakfast. The customer service was absolutely fantastic I could not fault it.
P. K.
Always a lovely experience at The Ivy, set menu and exacting standards you can't go wrong. This time in keeping with the Blackheath area of cheeky. Little (classy) Street bars. Not the same as my trip to Manchester but still a lovely evening out. Special shout out to the staff who were accommodating, pleasant and professional. I look forward to going back there soon
V. N.
Good place and ambience - Cosy and can prove to be a good location for a sunny day to sit outside as well. The restaurant however is not easily accessible for public transport, needs you to walk from Greenwich which is not too bad.
Food however was very disappointing. Thick and chewy pancakes did not feel fresh at all. The Zucchini fritter is advertised as almost a special but is very oily and unappetizing. Had to leave most of it on the plate. Not a lot of vegetarian choices which is surprising for Greenwich standards. Brunch was ok - Chips and Hollandaise sauce were a slight saving grace, but in general my brunch experience was disappointing.
A. S.
Awesome meal (steak not done to order though - asked for medium and it was prepared rare and then improved to medium rare). Great green options (salad, green beans, cream spinach). Chocolate Bombe dessert was amazing. Rather pricy
C. T.
Overall, an enjoyable lunch yesterday. It was a shame our waiter completely ignored my request for a dressing-free main course asian salad. My meal was drenched in a lemon dressing including the replacement I was given after being unable to enjoy the first one. We were also left without service at times and had to get your attention for what we wanted. After dining at your venue several times, and at other countrywide Ivy’s as well, Blackheath is one where service is sometimes ‘hit and miss’. I didn’t feel comfortable complaining too much yesterday as I was with friends who I hadn’t seen in a very long time and didn’t want to potentially spoil our time together.
T. P.
Good food, nice venue, good service. The cafe includes many framed paintings and mirrors on the wall. They were a bit grubby. Get some windolene and a duster and give them all a good clean.
R.
Nice cosy/lavish interior. More for food though, fairly small bar area. Drinks are good, servers seem to need a nudge but were largely friendly. Will hold judgment until I visit again but it could have been more attentive for the staff to customer ratio you sometimes feel a bit ignored which is an awkward contrast considering the opulent luxurious ambience of the place. Will be back though as it didn't spoil the experience.
C. W.
I brought my parents here for a birthday. We had the loveliest time. Great food and wine and a lovely atmosphere. Steaks were cooked perfectly.
T. C.
The Ivy Cafe has a pleasant and friendly environment, as always great decoration, dishes and customer service. :)
M. N.
Great service. Lovely food. Fabulous decor!
S. V.
Really enjoyed the food and service with our family.. on a Monday afternoon the restaurant was 80% full.. highly recommend
S. N.
Would normally have been 5 stars Food great as always and service with a smile from our waiter, but some of the others not so cheery. Few mistakes with our Kir Royale (which was rectified with free drink and appreciated) and bringing us someone else's much cheaper bill. It was a very busy evening though
c. w.
I was there with my Wife Joy and Ellis my Daughter and Lana my Grandaughter. For our 14.15 hrs Booking. As it's my Birthday actually Monday the 10th of January. But this was my Birthday treat from them both. My and my wife's first visit to the to The Ivy. And we thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be going there again. The Service was Top Notch. Our Waitress was outstanding. The food was out standing. And they catered for our Grandaughter Lana. Value for Money. Without a doubt. Chris, Joy, Ellis and Lana
M. C.
We have not been to the cafe for almost two years. Feim remembered our favourite table and our usual drinks. It was impressive and most welcoming. Well done Feim! The young lady that was serving us was very tentative too. Food was good as usual. We had a wonderful brunch. Thank you.
L. B.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, we sat outside due to having the dog which was lovely. The desserts we ordered took a little while to arrive (our fault as I had a train to catch) but definitely worth waiting for! The mince pies and Snowball fight dessert are must if you're visiting!
s. p.
Nice fold, but definitely need to book. Always so busy. Chick is over cooked, other things are nice
A. N.
Never disappointed , good service , drinks and food as always .
We got there and got seated promptly, our orders were taken as well promptly and food came in perfect timing .
Thank you !
K. S.
Nice set lunch in a great space. Service was friendly and excellent.
O. B.
So the atmosphere is great and the food is top notch.
The only complaint I have really is that on arriving we were told specifically (and quite stricktly) that we only had one hour and forty five minutes at the table and then they would need it back. This is fine but based on the speed of the service when it takes 20 minutes to take an order and then over 15 to clear the plates after we felt that after starters and mains we simply didn't have enough time to order desert.
L. K.
The Ivy Cafe is a perfect place for brunch, lunch and dinner. Lovely decor, substantial menu and always friendly service. They’ve put in good Covid measures (with lovely smelling hand sanitisers!) and we really enjoy breakfast before 11. It’s the same price as other cafes but the Ivy is a restaurant and we personally you get a better standard of service and ambience for decent prices. Always worth booking in advance, especially near weekends.
M. C.
We went there for a few times for breakfast and brunch, dinner. The service was amazing with kind welcome at the entrance and waiters were highly attentive with good knowledge of food. The breakfast menu is not very large but food served were excellent. Brunch/ dinner menu is even better. We had tried steak and eggs , a fish dish and the crab pasta. They all tasted amazing. The fish dish especially was our favourite. Desert was very nice as well with great presentation by the waiters. Will definitely go back again as the place has very good chilled but yet classic atmosphere. Highly recommend.
D. S.
Very well decorated, excellent service and staff, little over priced not my choice of menu, not sure what catagory menu comes under ie french, wouldn t say mediteraine
Had a prawn cocktail but had a sort of guatemalan in it at the bottom ?
R. W.
A great place, with food food and a wonderful atmosphere.
It is the sort of restaurant where you can turn up in jeans and t shirt or dressed up in a suit and it feel welcome either way,;the same is true of different size groups. A romanric meal for two or a group of 6 or more can both be at the restaurant at the same time and hold their own atmosphere and not intrude on the others.
Good menu, nice decor and good service. I would definitely go again
N. B.
What a restaurant. We went for our wedding anniversary and were met by some lovely staff who were very kind and generous with their time. The food was brilliant with incredible flavours and superb balance to the dishes. Quite expensive but I think good value for money for what you get and to celebrate those special occasions. The champagne was particularly lovely!!
M. A.
Love the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Staff were helpful and attentive. The steak was delicious and the dessert was nice and moorish
J. V.
Delicious breakfast and quick service, although strangely no where to put our big winter jackets nor baby pram, which had to be stuffed under the table.
R. A.
Went here for lunch for the first time. Delicious food, excellent service. The staff were very attentive and uber friendly.
J. H.
Amazing food. Fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere.
G. H.
Beautiful decor, lovely staff and the food was great. Nice to eat with the restaurant full and a really nice atmosphere.
M. A.
Super place for brunch and lunch. Great service from professional and attentive staff. Not had a bad meal yet, the poached eggs are cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced to boot. Will be returning for dinner.
S. Q.
This place is excellent. Went to the main Ivy 20 years ago a few times. (If you're interested. Saw over the years at different times Joan Collins, Emma Thompson tom cruise, Nicole Kidman, Roger Moore. But Blackheath was every bit as good, minus the celebrities of course. Great, really great, food and the ambience is fin de siecle meets art nouveau. I'd recommend it but don't take my word for t...
A. C.
I was not disappointed, although I was a little underwhelmed with the cheese selection. My crème brulé was superb as was my shepherds pie. Also I can wholeheartedly recommend the Ivy collection champagne. All in all, the good food combined with chic decor and friendly staff made for a pleasant evening.
J. J.
Great but service felt a little slow at first. We got food before drinks and then felt super rushed as everything came at once
R. Q.
Great food and the service by Jannis was exceptional. Generally I have noticed the level of service across the restaurants in Blackheath has worsened in part due to Brexit and Covid. So the quality of the service from Jannis really stood out. We will be going back. Highly recommend it.
A. F.
Visited here in the evening of the 3rd of September and had such a lovely experience. I had the blackened cod which was very tasty and beautifully cooked. As per always the atmosphere was great and the service amazing. We were looked after by Antonio who was incredibly attentive and lovely and Yanousz (apologies if that is spelled wrong), who was so helpful and had beautiful energy, thank you both so much!
J. P.
Very disappointed with our meal, Ribeye steak was £32 which is fine if it’s edible. It was full of gristle and inedible and not what u would expect in the Ivy cafe Blackheath
R. R.
Good food and good service, also nice atmosphere
V. C.
This is actually a nice, reasonably priced place to have lunch in Blackheath. No idea if it's linked to the famous Ivy restaurant chain, but the food is good and priced well for the area. On a sunny day see if you can get one of the outside seats which have lovely views out onto the heath however if the traffic is bad it.can be quite noisy. Service is excellent and food arrived quickly. They have a decent alcoholic drinks menu too. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
S. M.
Wondetful service, complimenting the excellent food. Thank you!
A. A.
Huge improvement on its predecessor, Chapters. The Ivy meets expectations for a new establishment in Blackheath. The food is good and the service is friendly. You’ll pay a premium at this venue, so expect a hit on the cash flow. One star deducted for waiting lengthy periods of time in between courses. Nice addition to Blackheath:)
A. J.
Amazing service and great food. Suggest to book the place is quite busy. Keep up the good work guys. See you soon. AJ
L. M.
Luxuriantly decorated the Ivy cafe looks really different from the old Chapter that used to be in the space. I had hoped but personally I found the music slightly too loud. There is a gold ceiling and fake flowers but no tablecloths or anything to dampen the noise. I found the noise level irritating and so did my elderly mother. Go if you don't mind a slightly fake ' buzz' or will be a lively party yourselves.
C. P.
We both had a vegetarian breakfast which included poached eggs and avocado which was delicious! Nice atmosphere with folks coming in for breakfast.
S. G.
Delicious food, lovely venue, and excellent service. Went for a birthday brunch with family, and although the place was packed, our waiter was very attentive and all the team made an extra effort to make the morning special.
j. v.
I was expecting the food to be of higher srandards, but it was quite dissapoing. The stars are only for the waiter that served us
He was really professional and polite. But the food was quite bad honestly.I finished the cheese souffle, but i couldn't finish the salmon. The food wasn't seasoned at all and the combination of aubergine, green beans ,salmon and harrissa sauce was quite bad.I went to the Ivy in Covent Garden and there the food was amazing.Compared to that place, this one was quite low on quality.
L. T.
Nice and cozy art deco venue. The desserts are delicious and the service impeccable! Great cappuccino too :)
G.
Pleasant ambience, very friendly staff. Food was good but not overwhelming.
P. H.
We had such a lovely day at Greenwich, then made or way to the Ivy, Blackheath, the meal that we had was something special, Could not fault it in anyway, the service and attention too detail was exceptional.
P. H.
Food was fantastic as always and wonderful service from Antonio. Can't wait to return
A. S.
Lovely place but portions were small. Wouldnt recommend vegans to visit as it's not a lot to choose from. My poor partner was left to eat tomatoes and chips. Guess it's what you expect at The Ivy.... they're there for their steak etc.
H. G.
Lovely staff and food was tasty. Would advise you book to safe disappointment. Best scrabbled eggs I've had in a restaurant
M. S.
I booked a table there and in spite of requesting outside sitting I wasn't given that option on my arrival even though the weather wasn't glorious... The food was alright but I was rather appalled by the while booking situation hence didn't enjoy my stay there. The place was also not that 'socially distanced' as it could be, so overall because of all that it was rather a stressful experience. It's a shame as I was quite looking forward to it...
M. D.
Absolutely wonderful. Food was delightful and the service was fabulous. Highly recommend!
J. K.
Beautiful place, great design, location. Very friendly staff, vell presented food, but if we say about taste - nothing extra ordinary.
V. R.
Really really great food. The burger is delicious - I will definitely have the burger again!
Service was ok - we went around 11:30ish and in a pretty empty restaurant we’re sat by the bar/washroom/waiter area. We could hear the managers scolding the staff about various issues & the view of the waiters/waitresses behinds aren’t great when eating. For a posh restaurant that behaviour was quite surprising. We will asked to be seated else where next time.
Food was spot on - only issue was had with food was the time it arrived - over an hour after we were seated and ordered.
We will definitely go back - hopefully get seated in a different area and then enjoy the delicious food!
C. M.
Great food, excellent service. Will be visiting again soon.
K. B.
Lovely experience t'was my birthday and the staff the food and ambience was amazing. Deffo will be back
D. H.
Fantastic food and good service. Slightly more expensive than your average meal out but you get what you pay for. 👍👍
S. M.
Portions are good but need add little more for such money. Altogether environment is good plus plating was perfect.
G. C.
Had a great family lunch today with family, good food and good service.
K. H.
I had my bday dinner here , food was amazing and service was excellent! They gave me this lovely bday cake with a candle, very cute :)
S. R.
Perfecto! Service superb, food exactly as expected having been to 'home venue' a few times and ambience spot on.
G. F.
Amazing food, lovely decor, and great location!
Had the smoked salmon to start, beef fillet for main, and a chocolate bombe for dessert. The Chocolate Bombe was an absolute DELIGHT. Very rarely enjoy desserts, but this was perfectly chocolately.
Our waitor was fantastic, knowledgeable and gave recommendations.
Also, temperature checks and lots of santiser are in place during this unusual time, with management and staff clearly taking every precaution they can.
Left absolutely stuffed! Would definitely go back!
b.
Been there for breakfast few times always on point with food and service. Quality of food always good.
D. R.
Amazing place and lovely waiters food was to die for, portions really big. Well worth the money.
L. R.
Staff are so nice and efficient...they make the experience very pleassnt.
G. M.
Excellent food and efficient friendly service. We will certainly be visiting again.
S. J.
Good food, good service, amazing location, art deco decor. Would recommend.
l. k.
The most amazing place. Brilliant service, delicious cocktails and amazing food.
N. I.
My friend and I booked a table (via Opentable app) for a long awaited breakfast at 9.00 am today and we were so disappointed when we came to the cafe at 9.00 sharp to find it was closed! We tried the door and waited for 15 minutes and we had to leave and look for another place to have our breakfast 😞 I don’t know whose fault it was - the cafe or the Opentable app but it was an unpleasant experience for us.
M. D. M.
A lovely afternoon lunch with excellent customer service. The food was delicious and filling. We will definitely be returning. Our waiter (Janos) from Hungary was excellent, attentive.
E.
Excellent staff.
Nice deserts
G. Q.
Always excellent service and delicious food & cocktails.
D. B.
We had a great time here. The food is great, as are the cocktails. Very hospitable. Pricy but well worth going for a special occasion, unless you are made of money and you can go as often as you like!
K.
Amazing birthday lunch. I recommend arancini to start with! Great and attentive service too.
C. C.
I like the Ivy cafe. I find this one very hard to hear in. The surfaces are unforgiving and it is often very busy. Need some more soft finishes to help. Otherwise great, but affected my enjoyment.
T. R.
Food delicious and staff very friendly. Had a very enjoyable evening.
S. T.
The food was as always excellent, but the experience was slightly let down by the service.. not the usual high standard
R. H.
Really nice food if quite busy and service a bit slow due to busyness. Really good value for money.
L. S.
Went there for my birthday, really nice atmosphere and the food was delicious 😋
P. B.
Good food, great service and a lovely location.
H. P.
I look forward to the pleasure of going to the Ivy Cafe. Friendly staff' delicious food and excellent wines and spirits. Lovely, lovely place. I love it.
P. N.
Excellent food, wine and service and a lovely atmosphere.
J. M.
Absolutely faultless meal. From start to finish delicious and extravagant food and drink. I have to say our whole experience was made by the exceptional service of our waiter Vitowd. He was so courteous, knowledgable and friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon! Would definitely recommend this place!
Y. M.
We came to London to celebrate our anniversary, we booked the Ivy Blackheath and really enjoyed our meal, absolutely delicious.
J. B.
This is a lovely restaurant with stunning interior and more than decent food BUT overcrowded environment and service ( not a criticism of staff) patchy at times at weekend. I am sure may be better during the week.
M. B.
Lovely restaurant in Blackheath. Nicely decorated and had a very organised system for Covid-19 temperature taking etc. Meal was delicious (I had the duck pate and the blackened cod and would recommend both), and well priced (with the august eat out to help out deal). The desserts were really delicious, we shared the chocolate ball/caramel dessert which we all enjoyed
L. N.
We've been here a few times now and the food is always delicious. The restaurant is great for a date night or just generally catching up. When we came on our anniversary, we were also gifted a little dessert to share too which was a lovely gesture. The service is also great with all the staff very polite and happy to help.
K. L.
Great choices with great service. Desserts are a must. - make sure you leave some space :)
M. D.
Had the afternoon tea. Lots of very tastey treats. Would highly recommend.
N. B.
A good place for a nice, but unpretentious, meal. Service was excellent without feeling over the top, and hygiene was also first rate, with temperature checks on arrival and sanitiser on the tables. The food itself was lovely, with highlights being the sriracha prawn starter, chocolate bombe dessert and South Indian monkfish curry.
M. B.
A birthday treat from my sis. Nice ambience and attentive waiters. Lost a star because my chicken was overcooked. But worth a visit.
S. H.
We visited the ivy today as it was our birthday, we both really enjoyed our experience, the food was great quality and the service was up to par. The waiter and waitress that attended us were both lovely. The staff are on the ball with attendance to the table. We fully enjoyed our experience and will be returning again in the future.
R. W.
Lovely food great. Service great recommended this any time
R. C.
Food was brilliant, gorgeous decor and setting. Excellent service. The portions are about half of what you'd expect when reading the descriptions in the menu. I wouldn't recommend the prix fixe menu, not good value. Servers were kind, and the place is spotless. I enjoyed the beef dip sandwich my friend had ordered, and the vegan options looked great as well. The chicken entree I had was not tops, but the cheese plate and olives were delicious.
A. M.
Pleasant afternoon tea at the Ivy Blackheath. Delicious mocktails.
M. Q.
The Ivy 8s great. However itv is in an aspirational family neighbourhood. So although the food and staff are exceptional. I believe it only caters for the apriational side not the family side and where I agree that should be the case post 5 pm pre 5pm it should be more family friendly.... And no I don't have any children.
B. D.
Excellent. Great decor, staff very friendly and food was delicious.
G. B.
Great food and a good service overall. Lovely ambience in the restaurant. Would have given 5 stars but the fact that we were asked to leave because another booking would be arriving soon was off putting. I hadn't even finished my peppermint tea! It seems some restaurants have a silent 2 hour rule and then you are out.
S. F.
Excellent food, very good service, lovely ambience. Just a touch too noisy for our taste.
S. S.
..great restaurant. Fantastic service. Food delish 😋
S. E.
It's okay. The updated menu is quite boring and there are not enough healthy options there in my opinion. I guess they go with popular classics to be on the safe side. Service is good but quite slow. Quality of food is very good as you would expect from an every Ivy restaurant. Overall positive experience and I would have rated it higher if they haven't placed too many tables in such a tiny place. We were given a table next to bar so it was very noisy from cocktail shakers and the area where we sat was so narrow that waiters struggles to squeeze pass by. I appreciate they want to accommodate as many customers as possible but at the moment comfort suffers a bit
J. B.
Great service, the highlight of the meal. Off menu cocktail made and a wide choice. Classic style to the group inspired by the original.
Halloumi main was however sadly disappointing. Two slices of pan fried Halloumi with no char or attraction to it and a miserly 4 Parton peppers.
Otherwise compliments to the staff were excellent and I’d have no problem coming back again. Enjoyable.
P. L.
I had a fantastic lunch at Ivy Cafe Blackheath from start to finish. I had a two course meal from the brunch meal consisting of the carpaccio (which was perhaps overly reliant on the lemon juice but was good nonetheless) and the monkfish curry (which was flavoursome), with several cups of coffee in between. The decor and atmosphere was extremely inviting and, along with the highly attentive service, made the brunch a memorable one.
J. H.
Really lovely restaurant. The decor is great. Service is very attentive and the food and drinks are delicious. Its a recent discovery and I've been twice already in 3 weeks - a new local favourite.
l. w.
Very good easing of lockdown, automatic temperature check, social distancing, doors open, little to no contact. Always great staff and a family friendly atmosphere while still coexisting in a positive environment for friends, couples or business lunches /dinners to take place.
S. B.
Amazing food and lovely people, had a great chat with the waiting staff. We'll be back soon.
C.
Very busy but all Covid precautions observed. Lively and friendly, really nice varied menu, great drinks and very helpful staff. Really enjoyed it.
A. S.
I would like to update my initial review with a positive feedback after my recent visit to Ivy. It was a completely different experience this time. The booking was easy, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent. The food did not disappoint. Will come back! It is nice to see a business adjusting to a customer’s feedback.
I leave my previous review below that I left 6 months earlier when the restaurant just opened:
“We used to be frequent visitors at Ivy in central London, so we were excited to finally get an Ivy over to south-east London. We wanted to book dinner on a Wednesday night in a few weeks time for a group of 26 people, but faced a snobbish attitude of the staff who made us feel unwelcome, giving us a vague response - something like “we are not sure, we don’t really work that way”. We never understood what the real reason was - we did not request a big table for 26 people, separate tables would do, but the staff at the reception made it sound like it was going to be very difficult and like we were wasting their time. Not a good way for a reputable restaurant to win the local market. Oh, well, a good excuse to support other local businesses that are more customer friendly!”
A. R.
I certainly like their food and service, good location very close to my house. The cashiers are always nice. Will visit here again.
R. R.
Great place, Feim is super attentive and goes out of his way to give a personal service
N. M.
Came here on Monday for an impromptu lunch, celebrating my sister-in-laws birthday. Fantastic! Great lunch menu, great value and wonderful service! And they brought her out a little cake! 👌🏼

Lovely restaurant. Fabulous food. Definitely recommend. Gets very busy so book ahead
E. R.
Not bad food. They didn't have anything in stock oj the menu when I went and the lack of a lunch menu is disappointing. Its quite heavy food for a lunch. Nice decor inside and staff attentive. Good covid measures apart from going to toilet which is narrow so hard to pass in corridor but nothing they can so about that.
J. H.
Great night. Excellent food (best in Blackheath by a long way!) and attentive service. We had a perfect meal between four friends and I highly recommend that you give The Ivy a try! It will very quickly get a great reputation and getting a table will be difficult
E. T.
I was initially hesitant about going as I thought it may be too fancy (and pricey). However a friend and I went here for brunch and how pleasantly surprised I was. The staff were attentive, couldn't have done more for my friend and I (we both have 3 month old babies and are breastfeeding). We were so well looked after. Yes, it's a little bit dearer but the service reflects this and I'll be coming here again. Thank you!
N. H.
Went in for a quick early evening meal. I had the bang bang salad, lovely and crunchy, followed by an exceptional chicken escalope. Perfectly crispy with a fried egg on top, with a side of soothing chips with truffle and parmesan. Truly delicious! If you haven't been, it's a relaxed yet bubbly vibe. I will say that I'm not a fan of the dimmed lighting, but that's what mobile torches are for - to read the sumptuous menu! As Arnie said, you be Beethoven, I'll be Bach.
M. B.
Love the Ivy brand, you know what you will get. Quality.
P. Y.
Quite cramped conditions ,not as much space as your normal Ivy restaurants
R. G.
Great food, awesome cocktails (definitely try the espresso martini, it comes with a selection of flavourings).
The food was really nice, and not too expensive. Also, the atmosphere is quite causal. Despite being quite a nice upmarket place. I'd dress kind of smart ish, but don't stress. Leopard print leggings weren't out of place!
V. C.
Wonderful meal at a great location well recomend.Especially thank you for food recommendations by waitress Isabele, very friendly and helpful.
A. P.
A little bit of a visit of miss balance. On arrival we where shown to our table. No one offered coat check. I had to ask. Our table was cramped due to it being moved to accommodate a pram for the next table , with no apology. From staff or patrons at the next table . On balance. The staff were very attentive and the food was lovely. Our visit was enjoyable but very cramped. Hope to book for a lunch in late January.
D. E.
Very pleasant dinner. Went to the Ivy for dinner with my wife and daughter. Service was both professional and friendly. I had the monkfish and prawn curry which was excellent. My wife's salmon was perfectly cooked and my daughter said her burger was also very good.
T. M.
Only 4 stars as the service eating at the bar was not great. The Ivy Special GnTs and Queen Olives were exceptional, the salmon and smoked haddock fishcake very good indeed (but could have been a bit more generous size wise). Will definitely go back, but at a table next time!
T. E. M.
Thank you Aivaras
Great evening at the Ivy with PERFECT food
We had duck salad, lobster linguine, salted prawns and blackened cod AMAZING!! Who needs to travel to central London when on our doorstep we get 10/10 food and service
The best customer service I have experienced with Aivaras Being out waiter. We would come back again just because of his customer service ❤️
H. W.
Came here on a Friday afternoon for Afternoon Tea. Whilst the menu looked promising, the savoury and sweet portions were tiny. As it was, it was filling, however for the price that it cost, we was expecting larger servings. We also ordered coffee and tea (thinking this would tie in with the cost of the afternoon tea like it said on the menu), however we were charged extra for this. The service was quite slow - we were waiting for around 10 minutes before someone came over to take our drink orders and then a further 15 mins before the drinks got bought over.
Overall it wasn't the worst place I've visited, however it wasn't exceptional. The staff were friendly, the food was lovely but I would expect more for what it costs.
C. T.
An absolute delight. A birthday treat from my daughter turned out to be not only a magnificent lunch but a wholly wonderful experience. The food, I had crab and apple salad followed by lobster linguine was to die for, it brought back memories from Bibendum , such attention to detail, polite and friendly staff and an ambience with other customers made the day one to truly remember.
Highly recommended. Thank you for a lovely day.
E. P.
Great food and even greater ambience
B.
6 of us went for an early evening meal, very comfortable restaurant with fantastic decor. Staff were friendly and food was really good, I was pleasantly surprised with the veg/vegan choices. Only problem was we were waiting a while for one of our drinks and had to ask several times for it. other than that it was fantastic, I'll be going back.
B. K.
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere.
O. T.
We had an awesome mother's day dinner at the Ivy. Food was great and the staff were lovely. They also gave my wife some flowers as a gift. That was sweet of them. Would definitely come back
T. S.
First visit this evening. Excellent food, the Shepherds Pie was very tasty. Very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back, and may leave the car at home next time to sample that cocktail menu!
O. B.
Nice surprise this far out of central London. Still baffled how this premium brand managed to explode into a chain overnight, but they’ve maintained a good quality feel and dishes can be reasonably priced. Been to this branch a couple of times now, service and food has been good. Truffle fries are amazing! Must visit if you’re in the Greenwich area.
M. C.
The meal was fantastic ,the service was excellent .The bomb pudding was delicious
D. W.
What a beautiful place. Amazing service. I had the full English breakfast...delicious. we had a young baby with us but it was no problem. They were very accommodating. A bit of an adventure to find the ladies. It's definitely a wonderful experience.
L. G.
Great food and lovely surroundings. I've been here for both brunch and dinner. I think that their brunch is the best, as they have a great range of options. Everyone I've been here with has also really enjoyed their food and drink. They do a lovely iced tea and their coffee with cream is amazing!
N. F.
The food here was very good but I'm only giving 3 stars as my experience at the end of the meal left a lot to be desired. My friends and I had exceeded our table time and so the maitre d' came over to ask us if we could make way for the next guests. That was fair since we had just lost track of time.
He immediately handed us our bill which seemed rather expensive. Upon checking included items we discovered that we had been charged also for the table next to us. We therefore asked for a new bill. Unfortunately the new bill also included some desert items from the next table. Again we asked for a new bill. This bill still included a service charge which we thought was presumptuous considering the problems with the bill so we sent it back a third time asking for this to be removed.
I would have scored this establishment higher if there had only been one simple mistake with the bill but it was a comedy of errors.
S. B.
Great service, smart decor. Lots of choice on the brunch menu, but most of the mains were not inspiring. The butternut squash was a little undercooked and the topping very bland. Desserts were great.
L. G.
Slightly disappointing. Went for afternoon tea with 3 adults and 2 young ladies (11 &13). They wouldn't make any change to the sandwiches for the kids...no discussion, just no, we can't change anything. We were told the options were standard tea or coffee - no option on type of tea, no offer of 'infusions'. On the whole the food itself was quite nice. Lovely scones. But the creme brulee in the doughnut was no more than a dot....so it was just a small, doughy doughnut.
I like the cafe on the whole and maybe they just need to get the more junior staff properly trained - the more senior staff seemed to care a little more.
E. A.
Fine place to take parents but pricey for what’s on offer
B. C.
Very 'swish,' some of my party were a little overcome by the opulence of The Ivy. Maybe not typical of the usual clientele expected to use this facility. Would be nice for a treat though. Staff were attentive, but not overly so. This visit was mid-morning, on a Wednesday. Food and presentation were both good.
K. V.
Food was supreme but the service was below average. We had to ask the waiters to fill up the glasses. We couldn't do it ourselves as the wine bottle was put away from our table. We had to ask for more water too. The side dishes were just put in the middle of the table. We were confused which ones were addditonal orders and which ones came as part of the mains. Had to wait 10 mins for us to order desserts. Definitely room for improvements in terms of service. Cappuccino cake was the highlight of the visit.
G. C.
Very good service and great meal.
C. C.
Whilst food and waiting staff good, when it came to the bill there was a problem with the card machine which meant we were charged twice. We contacted the restaurant several times to sort it out, the manager said he’d contact us when he had time. We went into the restaurant to speak to the manager as no contact had been made by late afternoon, he assured us he would call us soon. When he did he said the money would be replaced in a few working days. This was without apology for the inconvenience of not having access to that money or any kind of recompense.
S. B.
Great buzz and good atmosphere. Service exceptional. Set menu could be improved. Chips are to die for. Will make this a favourite venue. Open all day but do book as it is very very popular.
J. B.
Nice place with good food. Overall venue and seating perhaps a little small.
T. H.
Delicious vegan food: Jackfruit Bang Bang Salad, Keralan Sweet Potato Curry and sorbet to finish. Beautifully executed, polite service. Warm and and hospitable ambience, low lighting, intimate atmosphere. Perfect dinner. 5/5
A. S.
Fabulous food and great service! Would definitely recommend. I’ve been here a handful of times with family and / or girlfriends and it’s lovely!
m. d.
After reading the reviews we weren't sure what to expect. My girlfriend and I stopped for quick bite to eat after work and I must say the food was very good and the service was faultless.
We will be back for the delicious monkfish and prawn curry and chocolate bombs.
M. M.
We've been to the Ivy Cafe in Blackheath twice, once for brunch and once for dinner.
We didn't have reservations for the brunch visit, but managed to snag a couple of seats at the bar. Service was friendly, and food came out promptly. I went for lunch -- the French Dip sandwich -- while my wife went for breakfast -- Eggs Royale. Both were tasty. The french fries with the Egg Royale were a happy addition. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.
At dinner a couple of weeks later, we reserved a table, and wound up in a good spot near the door, but it's worth noting that the restaurant is very crowded, and the tables very close together. I went for crab pasta this time, while my wife went for fish. Again, both were very good.
Blackheath has been in need of a white table cloth place with good food where families are welcome. I think the Ivy Cafe fills that role very well. Yes, the service could be warmer, but that will likely improve with time. For now, it's a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
T. M. M.
Very good food. Very good service. Food was fairly priced too. It's situated in a very nice place and easily accessible by car or by train or by bus ant transport for that matter. It was a good atmosphere and staff were always happy to help with smile. All in all a good night out and a lovely meal whay more can u ask.
G. G.
Good food, but a little to the expensive side
S. B.
Very surprised to be honest as I have eaten here many times and have always been extremely happy. However was there last evening for a friends birthday and I and my friends were quite unhappy with the experience. I'm not sure if you maybe have a new Manager in place, as in the past it has always been very welcoming but the guy on the desk was quite unhelpful, gave us the wrong menu's and there was some confusion with taking the coats and when he was asked if he could take a picture as it was my friends birthday he walked off saying he would but never did come back! So all in all not as enjoyable as it has always been!!
K. B.
Have dined here a few times now morning, afternoon and evening and can honestly say the food has always been excellent and the staff so professional, approachable and friendly. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
L. M.
Lovely food and attentive staff. Unfortunately, I worry that the flash cash, load mouths are going to try and monopolies. A very disruptive, loud, swearing table of 4 in there earlier which ruined it for at least 6 tables who were obviously very uncomfortable. Hope the management take this on board. Better to upset one table than 6, especially when Blackheath is very family orientated. Will be going back for a second chance as it was lovely food.
S. R.
Had a great evening at the new Ivy Cafe in Blackheath. After reading a bad review of the one in Tunbridge Wells I was hoping Blackheath would pull out all the stops, which they did. All of our table of four were very pleased with the standard of food and service. Eve, our waitress, gave us just the right amount of attention and was very knowledgeable about the dishes. A good selection on the menu so looking forward to going back to try other dishes. The apple fine tart was so good that we had to order another.
G. S.
They've squeezed every square inch to maximize the number of tables in this busy and cramped restaurant. The food was good enough and fairly priced, just not exceptional. The red wine was served far too warm and gave away that it is a chain restaurant trading off its name and Central London reputation. It's ok... Just don't believe the hype.
R. P.
Had a bit of a problem with the heating. Air con on in winter and a bit chilly. But they apologised. Went for lunch with my wife. We both enjoyed the food, although I thought my 18 quid curry was slightly small. It tasted great though. If you fancy something "posh" in Blackheath then this is the place.
a. w.
The food was amazing and staff were great. The head chef Patrizio really knows his stuff, what a great meal. Our waiter Philipo was great. Will go back soon. Would give 10 stars if an option👍
D. B.
Chic. Beautiful decor. Great food.
Would be nice if there was a dress code. Dont think tracksuits and shorts are the right attire. Better suited to the Harvester.
I. A.
Beautiful place. Nice atmosphere, good food and variety of drinks.
H. H.
So delighted the IVY has come to Blackheath! Celebrating my fiancee's birthday, the only thing more beautiful than the restaurant and food was the birthday girl herself. Staff were excellent and put me to shame with the array of mustaches.
Steak, Scallops and duck liver parfait go down a treat.
As they say you pay for quality and the IVY did not disappoint at all. We cannot wait to try out the breakfast menu soon.
R. H.
Went for breakfast this morning. As soon as we sat down we ordered orange juice. These didn't arrive at the table until the very end after having to remind the waitress. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was nice. I had to send the toast back as it was cold. The second round came which wasn't any hotter. Seating was quite cramp, it makes you feel like the table next to you are actully eating with you.
Decor was nice.
B. G.
This place has an incredible atmosphere (very Gatsby-esque), and the snacks we had (afternoon tea) were delightful. Several other dishes on the menu looked quite promising, so we’ll definitely be back!
S. J.
Good food, but poor service. We ended up not having enough time to order a pudding as 2 courses took more than 2hrs to be delivered. Our starter plates were left for about 45minutes before being cleared and tables around us received their starters and mains in the time we waited, our main courses were clearly not entered into the system and an apology not given as to why the wait was so long, which was crazy given one was a cold salad and the other a flash fry dish so a max of 10 minutes to prepare. We have been to a number of the ivy cafes across london including the blackheath restaurant before and will not be recommending the chain to friends.
E. K.
Visited on a weekday for a casual evening. Extremely busy between 6.30- 9.00 pm and annoyingly noisy. Partly because of the layout of too many tables too close to each other. Food was of good quality service seemed chaotic at times. Maybe a quieter day/time would be better. This being a recent addition to the restaurant map of Blackheath makes it difficult to book.
S. M.
Waited a very long time for our drinks and when outr breakfasts arrived they were just about luke warm. Cold baked beans are never appetising. The food would have been lovely if it was hotter when served.
M. L.
Great food, great service. Lovely place to eat.
a.
It would be a mistake not to stop by Blackheat ivy cafe with its wonderful atmosphere and unique dessert and cocktail menu, which is among the favorite places of the region.
C. B.
Stopped by for lunch on the bank holiday weekend. Got seated at the bar as it was busy and we hadn't booked. Service was good, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely recommend coming here if in the area.
J. H.
Lovely interior, great food, friendly staff although they could benefit from having more on the floor to help with a busy service. Tables seem a little too close together and cramped but over all we had a lovely meal.
D. D.
Amazing food, service, location and value for money
L. O.
Very friendly and efficient service - we didn't feel hassled or like we had to wait to get anyone's attention. The food was lovely and served quickly. The environment has also been set up really well with a cosy feeling layout, interesting decor and pleasant backdrop of music. All in all a great night out!
L.
Had a lovely breakfast, our waiter was wonderful, my plate was empty by the time we left, we sat outside and got to watch the army horses being walked around which was nice and a surprise to see. I would definitely go back and try dinner and lunch menus out!
R. R.
Beautiful setting, lovely food and good friendly service. What more could you want for a breakfast outting 😊 Also the full English and Veg options were great and very filling. Buttermilk pancakes were scrummy 😋
C. S.
Always love it here. Pricey for lunch and dinner but breakfast is manageable and impeccable service. Thank you for always making it a special occasion, Ivy!
J. H.
The younger me would have said full of rich tossers and avoided like the plague but as I mellow with age I acknowledge that it is quality food and charming service. A good sized portion of scrambled egg on toast and a latte was £11 which ain’t bad when you soaking up that view and the ingredients are clearly top notch
F.
amazing food, good atmosphere,
excellent service... Good job Ivy Cafe team.
we really enjoyed our time here
R. H.
Gorgeous food and impecable service. A treat to visit. Beautiful decor. Thank you
E. K.
Went yesterday with my friend to celebrate her graduation. Beautiful decor and very friendly staff. The food was delicious and the sourdough bread with sprinkled salt on top was absolutely superb.
J. A.
Go lucky and squeezed in a table of 4 without a reservation. Service is the best I have had in the last two years, and the food was exceptional for the price. So glad this a local staple now. Can't wait to go with the same or different friends.
P.
Loved the food and choice and service
A. V.
Chicken Milanese with Garlic Pepper Mayo sauce along with Sour dough bread - would go again for this.
T. V.
Very tasty food and excellent waiters service but in the bill we found the drink which we didn't order. Booking is essential because the place is usually very busy during weekends.
P. S.
Came here for a birthday lunch. Has a fancy feel to the restaurant, nice decor. The food is average but cannot fault the staff and service.
A. R.
The Ivy cafe has replaced the once popular Chapters restaurant in Blackheath.
The decor is impressive, with the feel of a private member's club and keeping in line with the original Ivy in London.
Alas their service didn't meet the same standard, which felt cold and unwelcoming despite a nearly empty restaurant.
Food was just ok, but didn't reflect the higher pricing of the menu.
I know that restaurant is still quite new as it only opened in February, so hopefully they are still finding their feet but at the moment they are still in Chapters shadow.
R. J.
Love it here and have missed it during lockdown. Cant wait to get back there. Great service, lovely atmosphere, good food.
C. R.
Really nice location and good value for afternoon food.
L. K.
Great food and great service. The venue is a bit smaller than most Ivy's but still very nice. If you sit at the bar when it's busy there is a tendancy for people waiting for tables to crowd arou d the bar but all in all a nice place.
T. K.
Friendly stuff & tasty dish.
J. M.
Lovely restaurant. Staff excellent made you feel special. Food Excellent well presented. Excellent experience.
D. C.
Very lovely place. Topnotch food and service at surprisingly reasonable prices. But the noise level is high. Go early to avoid a noisy crowd. The outside tables are quieter.
M. D.
Great to have in Blackheath. We were there on opening day, and the service was great. Food is on par with other locations in London. Overall, if you’re looking for a great breakfast or brunch, don’t wait. Just got to Blackheath Ivy.
A. G.
Consistently very good. Lovely food, good prices, and friendly, yet extremely professional staff. A local favourite!
M. C.
Excellent service and the food and drink were very good. Nice ambiance about the restaurant
A. J.
Pretty, decor a replica of the one in town. Service excellent, food nicely presented and seasoned but expensive. Value for money not great but good for a celebration if you don't want to go into town. Buenos Aires a few doors along worth trying as an alternative if you're not a veggie.
S. O.
Great service from the friendly staff and really good food. Brunch menu has a good selection of almost the whole dinner menu. Cocktails are nice too.
W. L.
A very nice time was had by all
J. A.
We had a great time. It was my Daughter and Sons Birthday treat. The food was excellent and the staff too. Would be going again. Would recommend it .
D. L.
Just popped in for breakfast, the service was very friendly, usually don't like places that are too formal but they seem to have it right. Food was spot on, its easy to over complicate a full English but they've nailed it.
P. C.
Good cocktail at a reasonable price, great starter though the truffle chicken sandwich was forgettable. Very colourful dining room, possibly a case of style over substance.
R. E. T.
The waitress was lovely really excited about the menu and adding to the overall dining experience.
Food was nice.
Although as a veggie would have preferred more choice!
G. H.
A great addition to the area. Good value. Attentive service. Quite noisy though and try not to get a table near the bar (waiter traffic). But I'll be back.
M. G.
Really lovely branch of the Ivy. They also have seating outside that overlooks the green and it's great for a quick brunch or cocktails with friends. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and very accommodating
M. W. (.
Almost 5 stars but slow service. Fantastic food as to be expected but large portions which made it much better. Would recommend the courgette fritti to share with someone. Will be going back.
G. M.
Food is absolutely amazing !
B. F.
Very good food. Small starters but good size mains, still got a couple of sides though. You'll need to book at peak times.
E.
Vegan dishes were superb.
No vegan beer options
Was very cold temperature.
No atmosphere.
Staff didn't have much of a clue.
S. Q.
Rather disorganised. Few mishaps with order but helpful staff and food was very nice.
R. B.
I always enjoy visiting The Ivy restaurants and great to see lots of staff and great food and service here too. The Ivy brings a reliable and welcome 5 star offer to the area and may be unique in this respect. I suspect suburban diners might react to the time limit on table availability - being told you can have the table until x time is always so unwelcoming and happens just when guests are so excited about being there. Another unique aspect of The Ivy in Blackheath.
R. S.
Food was superb with lots of different choices on the ala carte menu. The set menu didn't have much choice. Restaurant and toilets were spotless. Staff were very helpful n friendly
L. G.
Excellent food. Affordable menu. A little bit of West End dining in the heart of Blackheath Village. Lovely staff. We will be back!
D.
Food was good and reasonably priced. Slightly cramped feel to the layout. Badly sign posted toilets. Incredibly patronising and smug Hungarian maitre d'.
S. B.
Great atmosphere lovely food
A. B.
It's ok, very crowded. Dish served did not meet description as per Menu, even when asked got a weird explanation.
N. M.
One of my favourite places to go can be a little bit expensive depending what you ordering. But else it’s definitely a great experience. My absolutely favourite things to order is they arancini
b. o.
Courteous, helpful staff. Always making sure you have a lovely time 🍾🥂💯❤😘🌹🌺🤗💐🤩
L. C.
Great simple seasonal menus. Lovely presentation. Personal service from waiters. love the Art deco styling.
c.
First time here and an impromptu visit, very impressed! Attentive friendly staff, quality surroundings and tasty food of huge proportions :)
G. M.
Fantastic food and great service, we had such a good evening here.
N. C.
My first visit and i loved it! Lovely atmospheric restaurant, gorgeous food, wine and cocktails! Topped off with the fabulous company of my family.
A. K.
Incredible as always. Love the decor and food is always impeccable
C. M.
Food was great, lovely ambiance. Great service and the congratulatory small desserts were a lovely touch. Thank you!
B. L.
Delicious food and drinks. Impeccable service and lovelt atmosphere. Food felt a little rushed out but all in all, would definitely recommend
M. M.
Good food, good portion sizes, nice decor, all of it in keeping with the high quality and standards that the Ivy chains now provide.
P. A.
Was really nice 😊
N. J.
The perfect choice for boys' haircuts, fast and well done!
R. H.
The Ivy brand struggles a bit in this cramped location so expect shortcuts in courses (asparagus replaced with beans) & erratic/annoying/frenetic service at peak times - perfectly okay but a long way from the mothership in West St.
B.
Loved our dinner here after house shopping in Blackheath. Lives up to the Ivy quality reputation and name with a killer interior design, service and food.
C. E.
Excellent and very friendly service, Antonio and Wiltold made my family feel very welcome and accommodated.
Definately looking forward to our next visit!!
A. M.
Great starter but my main was so-so forgettable. Service - v slow. We left pretty unhappy, waiting for our food wasn't fun.
S. Y.
We had to wait a bit for our table to be ready but the food and the service was perfect.
D. P.
It's such a fantastic restaurant!
F. J.
Lovely restaurant and not expensive for its upmarket area. Nice food and cocktails. Staff friendly and helpful.
C. C.
My husband and I went here recently for our anniversary. Very busy, the tables were quite close together, but great service and good food.
G. S.
Lovely food at reasonable prices. Nice building. Very helpful staff.
S. S.
Nice setting but the food is average to slightly above average. However, in an area that lacks other nice sit down restaurants the ivy cafe is a welcome addition
M. H.
We visited here on New Year’s Eve.. it felt a little rushed which we could understand being New Year’s Eve.. some food was a little over seasoned.. the waitress was great.. overall a very pleasant end and start of the new year! Thanks
S. G.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner you know what you’re getting with The Ivy. A menu with all the classics, set in a nice atmosphere, perfect for a quick bite to eat.
R. F.
A lovely coffee, really hit the spot.
f. G.
Waiters wasn't friendly food wasn't great
H. J.
The food was delicious, with lots of options and the service & atmosphere was fantastic. I hope to go back soon!
J. T.
Lovely food, went very well with a smooth Argentinian Malbec...
P. G.
Brunch, eggs Benedict lovely, full English Bacon not great, fatty American under cooked.
Service slow as hell. Just under staffed.
J. “. D.
Lovely service excellent food lovely atmosphere. Set menu was good value. Would highly recommend. Thank you
B. M.
Was taken for lunch in October. Very good food especially the Chocolate Bomb Dessert. Excellent Service. Expensive.
G. C.
Food excellent and staff attentive.
N. A.
Lovely place. Delicious food. Took quite a bit of time to be asked what dessert we wanted.
A. P.
First class food and service but the building insulation is substandard. A seat next to the wall was ARCTIC, the wall letting in cold air as if it was a chipboard. Unacceptable in a supposedly high standard establishment. Get your builders back in!
B. P.
Disappointed with the charge for an extra teabag in the pot. Was charged for a full price of a second tea just so my husband could have his tea strong - not happy!
M. H.
Very suitable for a multi-generational family lunch. Not Michelin, but food amd service make you feel special.
J. F.
Beautiful setting, food not so great
D. S. R.
Simply three words- that speak in perfect pitch for themselves: it’s The Ivy
A. B.
I love the menus, plenty of choice depending on your appetite. Dog friendly ,outside. Impeccable service
k. d.
Have been here on multiple occasions and the service has always been great. The food is always exceptional.
M. L.
Great service from a very handsome man named Chris. Food is tasty as always, love the pastries. Will be back again!
M. S.
The amazing culinary art of Patrizio Petrucci is the deep soul that makes The Ivy Cafe’ so an incredible magic experience. Wonderful.
P. C.
Very nice decor an friendly efficient staff. Food is very good at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit.
L. B.
Lovely lunch for my mum's birthday. Lots of choice and food was very good. Lovely atmosphere too
P. P.
First time here. Really great service. And the food. WOW. The three of us could not fault it. Be going there again.
H. H.
Lovely food, great staff, nice atmosphere. Pricing super reasonable, too.
E. D.
Had a nice evening here. Busy, good food, and the staff were attentive to an allergen request.
T. C.
Lots of staff but slow service. I think one of the reasons is that no spirits are up on optic so slow method using measuring tumblers.
J. D.
The service was amazing and it's the best breakfast I've ever had! You get a lot for your money.
B. S.
Absolutely fantastic, great service, amazing food ,all round lovely place to be
P. H.
Very tasty fishcakes, tables are a bit too close to each other, service was very good.
E.
Stunning place! Nice staff, clean toilets and amazing food for a reasonable price....definitely coming back
I. G.
Liked it, service very good, food is average. Expected more as it was the Ivy.... Perhaps it's the hype.
L. J.
Superb food and service, we liked how helpful the staff were, best steak for miles around,
S. H.
Great customer care from all staff members, lovely food, I will definitely dine here again.
k.
If you want to have a nice meal go here! Service is amazing , food is great and the drinks are good!
D. R.
Very nice restaurant, have been on many times, recently went to Ivy at Tower Bridge, it is not as good as Blackheath, which is more friendly and staff more attentive
B. A.
Food was absolutely amazing. The service and staff were too. We would 100% return.
M. H.

Quite expensive sive restaurant but it's a very nice touch at Blackheath area.. very posh and kind staff.. lovely environment and nice plates.. I recommend it :))

Lovely food thought the service charge added to bill was it bit steep but nice food and drink
T. L.
Lovely cosy place. Friendly staff and great food. If you like the Ivy then you know what to expect.

It's ok.....shall we leave it like that. Food is nothing special, Cafe Rouge or Cote do better breakfasts for sure..and the tables are WAY TOO CLOSE TOGETHER!
I think the problem is the people it attracts...... say no more....
E. F.
Relaxed atmosphere. Waiters attentive. Not sure on the standard of breakfast. Very small .
B. D.
Excellent service and food would go again.
T. f.
Beautiful place, great location, amazing food just little overpriced. And one more thing, mojito would be better with crashed ice.

Upmarket place in Blackheath. A few good choices for vegetarians. Make sure you ask for the vegetarian menu.

Service was lacklustre and food slightly above average. A little disappointing on the whole.

G. H.
Excellent service. Excellent food. Large menu. Excellent wine.

I keep hoping the service will improve, but two visits with, at best, mediocre service isn't inspiring a desire to go back. Not a patch on the original Ivy
