Reviews of The Ivy Tower Bridge
M. F. C.
We had an absolutely delicious meal here for my birthday, with amazing service by Ellie. Would definitely recommend - cannot fault! Just a shame we do not live close enough to attend more regularly! But, we will be back…
J. _.
We were running super late for the show. And the staffs were very helpful with ordering food. It’s a such beautiful restaurant with lovely view of Tower of London. I wish we had more time there.
The food wasn’t the best to be honest. One of the dish tastes a bit funny but the duck curry is very tasty.
Recommend.
C. R.
Wonderful experience! Service was excellent we had a young lady waitress with plaited dark hair and glasses serve us who was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good, could've been slightly hotter but all in all a lovely visit!
S. H.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Very aesthetically pleasing. The Sourdough bread was fresh and warm, perfect with my duck curry. The curry was flavourful and had the perfect balance of ingredients. Perfect choice of meal. Would love to come back!
N.
Beautiful place! Went here with my boyfriend for a late birthday meal. All the staff wished me happy birthday. They were all so lovely. We sat outside and they offer you a blanket and make sure you are comfortable. Couldn't fault the scenery and surroundings. Food was absolutely amazing. Not a problem with anything. My dessert was on the house as part as a birthday surprise. Can't wait to visit again!
S. C.
I've been to many of The Ivy but this one remain my favourite.
Great view and beautiful location.
Delicious food and good wine list.
We will definitely see you soon!

4 friends and I came to the Ivy Friday night 5.30pm
Food was amazing but one member of staff, Ella stood out above all others.
Although busy she made time to chat laugh and make us feel really good. I did speak to manager as she really was outstanding.
C. P.
Very nice selection of sandwiches and the scones were out of this world. Cake selection a little disappointing. Good vibe inside and staff very friendly. Good place to go for a treat
M. S.
We went there to ask for a table and despite it not being busy were told to book online.
Stood there in the lobby and did just that.
Other than this nonsense, all else was wonderful and the food delicious.
Would happily go again (after having booked online)...
S. S.
Absolutely brilliant. Our waiter Adam was very friendly, memorable and knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended some nibbles which were delightful, the Zucchini Frittas.
Food was a good portion and good value for money. Although busy, it was not noisey and great for conversation. The ambience was just right and the decor was so so pretty.
G. S. W.
Love the location just the menu is not to my taste. Excellent service. Views of Tower Bridge and a lengthy drinks menu. I had a cocktail with some cute candyfloss on the side of the glass. It was a nice and quite strong beverage. The cream tea was quite nice. With warm. Fresh scones. Strawberries. Jam and clotted cream. My tea of choice was not available. Chosen tea wasn't nice. Cheese souffle and zuchinni fries were quite good.
麵.
Walked in on Saturday afternoon for tea and was told that it was full. However I saw many empty seats and still wouldn’t be allowed to go in. Then I booked a table online right away. Finally got a table outside.
Ordered an oat latte and chocolate bombe which was recommended by a waiter. The taste of that latte ☕️ which looked like a dirty was awful 😣 whereas the chocolate bombe was excellent 👍🏻by seeing its melting with pouring hot chocolate 🍫on top.
Service inside the restaurant was good though but not at the front desk. I think the reception ladies should be more patient and polite to customers.
a.
The food is delicious, well-portioned, and worth the price. The waiting staff are very attentive. I will say however, that the atmosphere is fast-paced - staff seem very rushed. Maybe not the best place for a quiet meal, but great if you’re celebrating with a group of friends.
p.
Absolutely amazing restaurant right next to the iconic Tower Bridge. Attended for my wife’s birthday. We had a lively three course meal. The food was simply amazing and the staff were extremely good and attentive. It was a lovely experience and comes highly recommended. Also, ensure you book if you are looking for a weekend slot.
t. s.
The restaurant is lovely, service impeccable and location is great however the food, although presented nicely, is not very tasty. I was disappointed.
D. T.
The Ivy is a good place to enjoy a romantic dinner and have the best culinary experience with your partner!
You can share the appetizers/sides and you can also enjoy amazing main courses at this fine dining restaurant.
The view here is of the city and is very nice during the night.
The bar is also a good opportunity to try their cocktails (which are very good as well!)
Overall, it’s worth the money, being one of the best restaurants in London.
A. C.
Such a lovely afternoon lunch.
Adam our waiter was super sweet and very attentive.
The food was incredible ni faults what so ever.
A lovely way to spend the last afternoon of our minimoon.
L. M.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I don't think we were seated in the nicest part of the restaurant, and the decor is gorgeous! Everything else was fabulous, service and food and the salted caramel martini is to die for! Lunch menu is reasonably priced for the quality, and there is an extensive wine list. I'm visiting another Ivy restaurant in a few weeks and can only hope it is as good as this one. Happy Birthday cake was a lovely touch - thank you.
B. D.
Absolutely fantastic.
Excellent service, superb surroundings, vibrant atmosphere and food was to die for - beautiful. The views of tower bridge on night were amazing.
Excellent hospitality on the euro cup final weekend, staff were amazing. The champagne for getting to final was nice gesture from owners. A flawless service
The prawn and calamari starter is incredible!
Thanks for an amazing experience,
Y. E.
Attended an event in the private dining room, which was lovely! Super attentive team members, great service, tasty food, and lovely ambience!
M. N.
I went there to Celebrate my Birthday and all my friends they loved the food, we had an excellent service from our waitress "Zash" (girl with short hair). I also ordered a "Red Velvet Cake" and it was delicious! We spend a really nice evening, thank you!
R. U.
Stunning restaurant with breath taking views. Food was delicious and the staff are very attentive.
K. G.
Lovely place with a niche interior making it nice and cozy and was lucky to get the riverside view (however lights a bit dark for my liking - would be nicer to see what i’m eating more clearly:) )
Food was excellent- perfectly cooked
A. G.
Delicious food, great setting overlooking Tower Bridge with covered outdoor seating. First time I'd had soufflé and would thoroughly recommend. Thinly cut steak cooked well, fries (both truffle and regular) good as well. Waiter impressive too, genuinely seemed like he was interested and had a sense of humour too
B. J.
Always a treat. I just love this place. Excellent food, good value, attentive staff, one of my favourite places in London
M. R.
Me and my boyfriend went here for our one year anniversary, and I couldn’t fault it one bit. On arrival, the two ladies at reception were very welcoming and wished us a happy anniversary, then a kind gentleman showed us to our table. The view was immaculate, we could see the night sky lights of the city, along with the beautiful Tower Bridge. Our waiter was very attentive and served us with a smile, making sure all our needs were met and we were comfortable. The food was impeccable and considering The Ivy’s reputation, was really well priced. The restaurant itself was exceptionally beautiful, you could tell a lot of thought had gone into decorating the place. After our meal, we went to the bar where we were served by the amazing bartender Molly, who’s customer service and attentiveness was absolute perfection. We have had one of the best date nights so far, and they have definitely made repeat customers out of us! I have no idea why some have given this place less than five stars, neither me or my boyfriend could find any fault with the service or the food. We can’t wait for our next visit!
V. F.
Cheese Soufflé as starter was super delicious. The Sirloin Steak was cooked Mid Rare just how I wanted it. The Monk fish and Prawn Curry has very nice Asian taste with the right level of Tangy flavours. Truffle and Parmesan cheese Flavoured Chips too were wonderful.
S. H.
Excellent place for dining and cocktails, with spectacular views of the London Bridge and Thames if you sit outside.
Inside as can be expected from The Ivy is very plush and staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend for special occasions or somewhere to impress clients.
V. B.
Had been to this place because they had a separate vegetarian/ vegan menu. The place is very nice, the staff are really kind. The place was packed even thought he was a Wednesday evening.
The food was good, the quantity was good too. The ambience is really good. They have spectate places for just drinks and dinner.
Nice place for a date or just a dinner.
A. O.
Came here for a birthday treat and was not disappointed. Very helpful friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
I had the scallops, courgette fries, chicken escalope, and the chocolate bombe. The chocolate bombe was the best thing I have ever eaten, I would go back just for that, and I definitely will.
Had a great bottle of Beaujolais as well.
N. M.
Lovely brunch there! Stylish atmosphere and very professional staff members. Stunning view on the river and people walking by. Definitely coming back there!! The coffee was amazing! The way eggs were prepared was perfect! Thank you!
S. B.
I have visited this branch during the day for lunch and in the evening for dinner. You get a great view of tower bridge in the evening!! During the day it has more of a business/work vibe. Friendly staff, great food, pictured - chicken sandwich and steak with egg. Dessert we tried the crème brulé which was prob one of the best I've had. I always have a good time at the ivy as the food is consistently good with professional staff.
M. O. L.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing food, attentive service...that's all you can ask for.
I didn't enjoy me chocolate bombe dessert hence 4*
D. C.
I always look forward to dine in at The Ivy. All their restaurant is beautifully decorated, the interior design is insane. Love to hangout here and eat. The food was very delicious, and their service were great and very attentive. Definitely a must visit place when in London. Highly recommended.
A. T.
Walk-in for breakfast, lady that served us was well accommodating and fantastic, food was delicious.
Bartender was super friendly!
G. E.
Great service and friendly staff. Really clean, and not too close to other tables. Good menu with plenty of delicious choices - something for everyone I think. The decor looks excellent and there was a nice atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more as a relaxed and informal Saturday lunch.
N. Y.
The Ivy Tower Bridge was really beautiful great design great food we had a perfect atmosphere everything was great.
The staff was fantastic great service great speed highly recommend it
O. C.
Went for girlfriends birthday, when booking I made a note of this and they said happy birthday when we entered and also got a free birthday large profiterole for dessert.
The food was delicious, and a great vegetarian menu with plenty of options. Drinks were reasonably priced, especially for London. 100% would recommend and well be returning.
M. C.
The greeting was good and the staff were attentive. Food was OK, but not what was expected. The salt and pepper squid was nice however would have benefitted from a spiced batter and squid tentacles rather than just flat pieces. The smoked aubergine puree served with the salmon was so smokey, bitter and unpleasant. The spiced tomato sauce did not go with the salmon at all and was definitely not to my taste.
A. P.
Solid food, great service and reasonable price --especially considering the location!
S. L. 8. D.
We had the most amazing night, the food was spectacular and the staff were amazing
Will definitely be returning.
C. B. M.
Visited ivy tower gateway for afternoon tea, great staff, very courteous. Accomodated us without booking. Great selection of teas. Scones were very tasty 😋 selection of veg sandwiches and red velvet cake were great. Scones tasted better with butter and jam. Overall great experience!!
S. T.
I had brunch at The Ivy. The setting was nice. The service was fantastic. But the food was average; prices slightly higher but I feel you're paying for the atmosphere and the name more than what you get on your plate. Food came out not very hot, tasted a bit bland - I've had better brunches at hole in the wall cafes. I liked my visit here, but saying that, I will not be returning.
T. H.
Had a great day at the ivy tower bridge. We just walked in on the off chance and had a lovely lunch. We met a lovely bartender called Mollie who was amazing she has such a welcoming face and personality made us all feel welcome and drinks was amazing!! Thank you Mollie for making us some lovely cocktails we will be back very soon.
M. A.
Great ambiance & food. We walked in for brunch without reservations!
K.
The ivy was a great spot for brunch. The food was fantastic and my wife enjoyed the green juice. I would go back and eat anytime. I would probably go for the fish and chips as that looked good too.
L. P.
The customer service was lovely. Nice staff. The food was tasteful. Forgot to take pictures the rest of the food that was served. Beautiful scenery and calm vibes
J.
Exquisite dining experience. Attentive staff. Good food
B.
What a lovely restaurant! I looked forward to coming and wasn’t disappointed.
I came here for an early dinner and was seated quickly. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The restaurant has a beautiful decor - really elegant and homely. The ambience was excellent. Really good buzz. The al fresco dining area had stunning views of Tower Bridge and the river however I dined indoors. The food came within a reasonably amount of time despite the restaurant being very busy. The food was exquisite — beautiful presentation and cooked to perfection. My partner had the scallops as a starter which I tried. They were absolutely gorgeous and would highly recommend them. The portion sizes were generous (well I thought they were). The only complaint I have is that I wish there was more monkfish and prawns in the curry! Other than that - perfection!
I would highly recommend coming here to eat. Really would recommend coming here.
N. J.
Lovely food and great service but lacking atmosphere at the 8.45pm sitting. Will book earlier time slot next time.
A. S.
Lovely place to eat. Great atmosphere and exceptional service by all.
R.
The food is quite overpriced for the quality, though the view is amazing. The staff is nice and quick to take orders. The salmon fillet had no side, which unfortunately I wasn’t told about and the steak was ordered medium rare and arrived fully cooked.
The biggest issue was the fact that they took our reservation for 9pm and I got an email saying that we would have a table for 1h30. But come 9.45pm and they are rushing us through the door with no dessert or even time to properly enjoy the meal because after all they had to close at 10pm due to government restrictions... it would have been nice to know this in advance.
M. 1.
We went to The Ivy for breakfast and enjoyed the food, the view and reasonable price. Would definitely recommend a visit.
R. H.
Fantastic and safe meal out. Staff and chef were excellent and ensured our guest with an allergy was looked after. Amazing views with perfectly cooked steak and an impressive selection of cocktails. They have outside heaters but still had a chill, but that's London. Will be back..
Y. A.
Absolutely great restaurant! Incredible food and superb serving sizes. The staff were fantastic and very charming, I left the ivy extremely happy and with a big smile on my face.
L. F.
Always a delight to dine at The Ivy. Dined in the outdoor terrace (terrace was heated) at The Tower Bridge branch during Covid-19. All social distancing measures were taken into consideration with hand sanitisers on table, QR scan on arrival etc. Exceptional service throughout with simply amazing food - cooked to perfection! Cocktails were outstanding too! Great atmosphere as always ...Thoroughly recommend. :-)
D. S.
Great view great service and great food . Celebrated my birthday here in style, it lived up to the recommendations. I had 2 courses from afternoon/evening set menu. A starter and a main but as it was my birthday decided to have a dessert. Didn't regret it.
M. K.
Great view lovely atmosphere and delicious food all kind staff and smiley faces
K. G.
Delicious food but service was a little bit slower than usual for an Ivy. Would still recommend it though.
F. K.
Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Menu has variety of food to choose from which is very handy. Like the addition of non- alcoholic drinks on the menu too.
T.
Excellent value Afternoon Tea in superb Tower Bridge location with a special ambience.
The waiting staff are always lovely and professional. The decor is spectacular and the view of the Thames, Tower Bridge and Tower of London is fabulous.
The best part of the food for me is the unique truffled chicken brioche bun. That speciality is the main driver that keeps me returning time and time again rather than going elsewhere, and it's always spectacular.
Our only challenge is the dated silver teapots. Every time we go it's a battle not to burn yourself. The handle and lid get extremely hot. Then, the tea cools down much faster than in non-metal teapots. This means by the time the food arrives, your tea is cold, which is far from ideal for our preferences. I would also love an offering of decaf English breakfast tea, but understand not every venue chooses to provide that.
If the teapots are improved, I'll quickly update to 5 stars because everything else is 100% fantastic.
D. L. L.
Really great atmosphere within the restaurant. All of the staff were courteous and professional when attending to my partner and I. The food was delicious and great value for money. The cognac mulled wine was a delight 😊
L. O.
The only thing that could have made this a 5 star would have been better weather. I believe they could have put screens up to stop the wind. But the food was amazing, service was great aswell. I will definitely be going back
T. Y.
Went in April 2021 during 'Outdoor dining' only Covid restrictions. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Food was great, service was great & beautiful views of the Tower from across the River! For starters - recommend the Cheese Souffle with a side of freshly baked Sourdough bread. Also v.good was the warm asparagus with Hollandaise (the sauce was sooo good). For mains, had the Chargrilled Halloumi and couscous salad. But the best was the cocktails and dessert. The Raspberry+Rhubarb G+G Gin is lovely; and the Chocolate Bombe dessert is sooo decadent. And more-ish! Thoroughly recommend. Bill for 2 adults, with 2 alcoholic drinks each, £120. Worth it. In short: RECOMMEND.
R. K. (. L.
Unfortunately.. not that impressed, the interior design and ambiance is great, location is fantastic, however the service was lacking in attentiveness and the food was bland across most of the dishes, save for the duck liver pate and the chicken Milanese. Otherwise...small portions and flat tasting grub. To be fair the raspberry ice cream desert was very tasty. Considering what it proposes to be, it is falling short. Wouldn't rush back!
F. S.
What an amazing place for date night. The food, service was all excellent. While eating you get a fantastic view of the tower bridge and at night it's so much more beautiful.
When we went in, the restaurant was so busy but did not wait long to be taken to the table and did not wait long for the food to be served. It was probably about 10 minutes. It's such a nice place to be sat in. The staff were all so friendly right from the beginning to the end. The price of food was expensive but honestly so worth it.
A. W.
Firstly the restaurant is beautiful and the staff were pleasant.
I ordered duck and mandarin for my starter which was delicious, I tried some of my colleague's steak tartare which was to die for.
My main however was the issue hence the rating. I ordered the sesame crusted salmon special and double checked that there was no shellfish in the sauce due to an allergy. When my food came out I was presented with a bowl of curry; I reminded the server that I had ordered salmon and was told I couldn't have the sesame salmon but I could have the roast salmon. I said that was fine and asked again if I could have what I ordered and was told no but was given no reason why. I was told it would be 15 minutes and then my side arrived which I sent back as I didn't have a main. Bizarrely the roast salmon arrived 5 minutes later with the hardest green beans I have ever had. To be honest I make roast salmon at home every week so hardly the treat I was looking for. Not sure how they managed to roast the salmon and plate it in 5 minutes either.
Dessert was profiteroles which were lovely. When the bill came they still tried to charge me for the special I hadn't had so we challenged it and they did comp it.
Disappointed that I received no apology or explanation as to why I couldn't have what I ordered in the first place and would have preferred to be given the menu back so I could choose something else (put on the spot so just accepted the alternative).
Sorry Ivy but not the best experience and the customer service let you down
G. M.
Lovely place, friendly staff, excellent food, fabulous venue
S. M.
Pretty good. Food was top notch. Fig & Pistachio dessert was wow! Though the coffee came in cold on the first order. We got a replacement hot coffee.
A. J.
I attended a wedding there and the food and service was great! Lovely views from the upstairs room
E. M.
Absolutely magnificent view, out of this world great food, and truly good attentive service. I always go to a restaurant and can't seem to truly find much on the menu I like, but at The Ivy I could not choose there were so many delicious dishes on the menu!! The service was amazing and I particularly liked the Sommelier, very knowledgeable. Definitely a must go to restaurant. We WILL go back! . I suggest a 6 Stars
S. F.
Lovely spot with spectacular views especially when sitting outdoors. The menu has quite a wide range of dishes so easy to find something for everyone
N. M.
Great location, amazing cocktails and brilliant portion sizes. Staff were also really helpful
S. P.
Amazing service and delicious food. The sourdough starter is the best bread anywhere. Very friendly team and the surprise treat for our anniversary was very enjoyable!
H. A.
Afternoon tea, sandwiches, scones are fresh and tasty tea was very good, nice and cosy atmosphere, waiters with a smile and friendly
S. N.
Fantastic experience, food and service was outstanding.
P. K.
We had Sunday brunch at the Ivy Tower Bridge and lucky enough to get the best table of the restaurant with the view of Tower Bridge. Great and caring service. Beautiful and nicely decorated restaurant- do love the chic stylish green forest theme. A good menu with a variety of choices. All what we ordered were absolutely delicious- I particularly love the non-alcoholic cocktail which did taste like a normal cocktail. Price is reasonable. Recommend booking in advanced.
S. W.
We had the PDR for our wedding breakfast and it was absolutely fantastic. The menu choices were amazing and all our guests were very impressed with the stunning views, food quality and incredibly attentive service.
It really was a treat and the team are highly skilled. I’d recommend for anyone celebrating something special.
J. P.
The Ivy breakfast was so satisfying and the service was even better. Definitely on my favourites list.
If you haven't had a meal here, get booking and don't miss out!
N. S.
Great breakfast at a reasonable price. Service was attentive and friendly.
M.
We booked the ivy for a few birthday drinks and light eating. We were booked in/seated quickly. The views did not disappoint, staff were lovely and tried their best, but some information did seem to have miscommunicated between the team.
Food was expensive and for us did not match the quality offered.
Atmosphere and ambiance impeccable and will return again for the venue and feel.
I was absolutely thrown and very grateful for our lil treat to mark my birthday celebration, very thoughtful.
I. M.
We had booked a table for two on the Sunday evening of our weekend visit to London.
The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent and extremely quick.
The food was good and good value.
The only comment I would make was that the medium rare steak I had was a bit closer to being rare but the flavour and tenderness of the cut was certainly good.
I. “. L.
Delicious food in a wonderful place! This was our second visit to this Ivy location and we will be going many more times because its fantastic. You are immersed in art while eating very good food. We also had fantastic service both times we went from a waitress called Kate who was very welcoming and knowledgeable!
J. K.
Great location with outdoor seating that overlooks tower bridge. Food was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the scallops. Highly recommend.
M. C.
The food, service, drinks and setting were all excellent. The onion soup starter and mushroom linguine will live long in the memory they were that delicious.
R. B.
Good food, lovely presentation and beautiful location. It's a plated service so not like some of the more expensive experiences where you can have as much as you like but an adequate amount of food and great concept. For me however attention to detail is everything when it comes to what is basically a luxury meal that no one needs but is all about the experience. If it's a birthday acknowledge it and if you've been given specially dietary requirements follow them. If a mistake happens, apologise and rectify it don't act like it's a big deal to change a sandwich.
A. D.
Lovely decor, great location, unrushed, friendly staff and most importantly dinner was delicious!
P. J.
I had a reservation for dinner with my friend, we arrived early and they managed to serve us sooner. Food was really good, enjoyed the roasted salmon and truffle arancini. Tiramisu was fine too. I had virgin cocktails for the first time and I loved the Angelic Amaretti sour. Lovely service as well.
A. M.
A decent Sunday lunch by the river. Mushroom starter had a very liquid sauce.
Slow service as we received the wine when we had almost finished the mains.
V. K.
Great cocktails and Great customer service
J. B.
Still very nice. But standards are slipping a bit. Chips weren't great (not just mine) . Service could be better. You expect the waiter to know who ordered what. Waited ages for dessert. Nice location and nice atmosphere I just hope they raise the standards as before.
L. P.
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. We had to sit at the bar since we showed up short a reservation but that didn't take away from our experience. Nicely done!
Z. P.
Beautiful restaurant right next to iconic Tower Bridge. Our waitress Zana was really professional and friendly. Cheese souffle was delicious.
B. J.
Great service and friendly staff. Really clean, and not too close to other tables. Good menu with plenty of delicious choices - something for everyone I think. The decor looks excellent and there was a nice atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more as a relaxed and informal Saturday lunch.
N. P.
Staff and service was out of this world. First time I have been and can understand why it has such a good reputation. Food was delicious and would highly recommend.
Worth a visit to the female toilets just to see the pink doors and flower ceiling
S. C.
We went to the Ivy on Thursday night. The food was amazing. A particular favourite was the chocolate bomb dessert. My only recommendation is take a torch as it’s really dark and almost impossible to read the menu.
t. o. w. t. l. a. i.
5 stars for everything. The food was amazing! The coffees and champagne was delicious! I asked for a nice view and that's exactly what we got and an extra little desert surprise for my mums birthday. The price was absolutely fair for all the things we got. I will definitely go back!
S. M.
The decor was fab and all the food was tasty! It was only topped by the lovely view of Tower Bridge from the restaurant.
We also had a really lovely lady serving us (unfortunately I didn't get her name), who recommended the Chocolate Bombe for dessert, and I'm glad I took her advice. 😊
I.
Excellent service and friendly staff.
The place is located few steps away to an iconic London place: the tower bridge. The entrance is magnificent with all the flowers 💐 and the view in Tower bridge is extraordinary
J. F.
A somewhat disappointing meal for all the hype, not bad by any stretch but definitely disappointing. Scallops to start were fantastic, main course an average fishcake. Service was okay, waiter did charge us for water which was a misunderstanding on our part (fair enough) stated they would take it off the bill as a kind gesture which we very much appreciated. Waiter then took my card, tapped it on the contactless PED machine and walked off, only for us to find they never took it off the bill! Manager sorted it out quickly though. 3/5 for me.
N. Y.
We started our day off with breakfast here and yeah it was not bad for my 1st time eating at an ivy restaurant. Very strong coffee lol
J. D.
Great spot for breakfast. The prices are a bit higher but this place is worth it. Right next to the tower bridge with a really nice view. We started with the espresso martini which is alcohol free. It was delicious. The meal itself was also fantastic. Decent sized portions with amazing flavors.

Had an amazing meal here. The food was so tasty. Best I've had in a long time. Service was second to none and the setting of the restaurant right next to Tower bridge is one of the best places to eat in london. So beautiful at night. Would highly recommend having a meal here. You wont be disappointed.

Had a lovely breakfast on the way to a meeting. Staff were really helpful and went the extra mile. The dining room was beautiful and has great views. The food was exceptional, flavours were really well thought through.
A. A.
Good and efficient service despite a busy time in the day. Ordered the linguine for my 2 year old son and he polished the lot! My chicken milenese was a little overdone which is the reason for not going 5 stars.
L. S.
I was taken for an anniversary breakfast here and straight away the host at the door was rude. Then after being seated the server was rude and the food basic.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful but the rest was a let down.
I wouldn’t recommend completely based on the service from the staff.
We were keen to leave .
S. H.
This branch is new, and has a really good view. It's quite spacious and has a beautiful design. Staff are friendly and the food is very good. I especially liked the mockfish and prawn curry. The calamari could be better. I was not too impressed with the desert though.
N. M.
Great restaurant for dinner, especially on a warm and sunny day. We had the burrata, calamari, ceviche to start, and then the fish and chips - the food was really good, I really liked the fish and chips as it was flavorful without being too oily. The best dish was the chocolate bomb dessert - the flavors were spot on, and it was the perfect size. They have great drinks too, highly recommend the Ivy G&T.
D. R.
Very nice and pleasant place. We get the table outside, however inside it’s beautiful. Staff was friendly and professional all the time. Service was great and fast. Food becomes a tasty art here. I did enjoy every single piece of it. For sure will be back for more!!

The location is spectacular. We booked seating in the terrace, which was the way to go. The starters were great, clearly good quality ingredients. Regarding the mains, the veal was delicious, but the sole meuniere was a bit too unsavoury and the belly part below was slightly undercooked rather than crispy like the top was. Desserts were delicious. Service was attentive and lovely.
The worst: a mouse kept turning up under my bench, running from one end of the terrace to the other. I kept my feet up most of the time as I couldn't stand the thought that it could brush against my foot. I guess getting rid of them near the river is virtually impossible.... But definitely not a nice image for the restaurant.
L. S.
My husband surprised me for my birthday,
We had chosen Champagne afternoon tea.
Stunning view of the river and Tower Bridge, great service.
M. N.
OMG this restaurant is amazing, and the location is fab.
j. d.
The food was lovely and service was good. Why only 3 stars. At the end of the evening the waiter came to the table and said the bar is closing would you like another drink? We decided to have another drink and they duly arrived but few minutes later the waiter came back and said we are closing please drink up. We virtually had to sink our drinks and get out. That soured what was up to then a very pleasant evening.
K. K.
Had a lovely meal last nigh, beautiful decor and the food was really good. Our server Adam was very attentive and made it a very special evening. Thanks a lot guys!
M. H.
Beautiful view from our table of tower bridge and the tower of London, we were seated immediately upon arrival. I was surprised how quick the service was despite it being fully booked, cocktails were on the table after 5mins and then starters 5 mins after that.Everything was delicious, Couldn't fault it.
L. I.
Overpriced(food not grate not terrible), noisy...you have to rise voice to have a conversation. Might look fancy but there's something wrong when people have to use their phone flash light to read the menu , so dark inside. Waiters are polite so that's why the 3 starts otherwise would be 1
S. B.
Had a lovely meal here staff were very engaging Maria ❤️made our daughters night what a credit to the business she is ! prices very reasonable and location is superb we will be back thank you 😊
W. K.
Arrived in London at tower bridge and went for a walk along the river. Found this place as we were walking by and checked out the menu. Decided to go here for a late lunch. Booked through “Open Table,” very quick. Arrived around 2ish and we were greeted by the reservation team who were very polite and used my full name for the booking. Shown to a table with menus and it was very busy. Service was very good food arrived quickly. No problem with to stop sauce or mayo. Portions sizes very good and the desserts very theatrical presentation a great start to our holiday.
B. R.
Lovely family lunch. No kids menu but plenty of options on the menu to suit our fussy eater boys! The service was exactly as you would expect and hope. A nice mix of professional but friendly. Combined with a fabulous view of Tower Bridge it made for a lovely lunch.
T. C.
Decor is fabulous. Service is outstanding. Lovely cocktails. Food was a mixed bag as 2/4 dishes were served cold when supposed to be hot. The crispy duck salad delici ous. Salt and pepper calamari delicious. Eggs Benedict cold and not enjoyable.
C.
Perfect settings, amazing food, fantastic service!
We had an outside table as seemed such a waste to sit inside with such amazing views of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
There is something on the menu to suit all appetites even the fussiest, highly recommend... oh and the cocktails are great too!!
A. W.
Fantastic location. Noisy and bustling atmosphere. Lovely staff although service feels a little chaotic. Food good although expensive and not really value for money but it is London! You are really paying for the name and location - which is worth it if you don't mind a hefty bill for decent food.
O. D.
The most wonderful bartender Mollie, thank you so much. The service and the cocktails, we can't thank you enough!
G. G.
A great restaurant. Next to the Tower Bridge on the south bank of river Thames, excellent location with great view. We had brunch, eggs Benedict, the food was great. The service was polite and quick. Beautiful atmosphere. Prices were normal. Highly recommended.
K. O.
First time at this Ivy and I loved it. Food was great as usual with decent portions. And the view as the night fell was just perfect. Went with friends but would be a lovely place for a date and finish off with a river front stroll
S. N.
Atmosphere and quality of food is great and the same as other IVY's across the city. Been to the Tower Bridge branch a few times at lunch and always find the service is very slow (hence dropping a star). If you have the time, then not an issue.
J. D.
Went here for a meal with my partner, both sets of parents, and my son as a Christmas and my birthday treat. Was absolutely amazing, will certainly be going back.
S. C.
Service was slow at first, but once we got served everything improved.I had the shepards pie and creme brule, they were both superb. You are situated at the side of tower bridge,a wonderfull place to eat and drink.Sat outside to eat but the inside is just as beautiful.a wonderfull evening
S. G.
Had a lovely birthday meal here. Such a great view of the tower bridge if you choose to sit outdoors. Food was good. The fish and chips was amazing. I would defiantly come here again.
S. C.
The location, greeting, service throughout, the food and general ambiance was excellent took my nephew for a 21st birthday lunch and it was lovely, our waiter (I think his name was Stefano?) Was professional and helpful without being cold or familiar not something found in many restaurants. I do not live in the area but if I did I would be a frequent visitor. Thank you it is a pleasure to receive old fashioned good service.
Y.
My wife and I went to the ivy for lunch and it was a splendid experience. We enjoyed the view of the tower bridge while we ate. There was only a problem with my steak as it did not seem fresh, I ordered the ribe eye while my wife ordered the fillet, her fillet was fine. The desserts were sublime.
D. G.
The food was excellent and not too pricey. Cocktails were very tasty and worth the money. We will definitely return.
H.
The food here is consistently good. Have visited about 6 times in the last half a year. I love their brunch - the quality is always top notch and service is good. The tower bridge location has the best view of the bridge as well - ask to be seated on the 2nd floor for that view. My recommended dishes are: eggs royal and beef tartare. Both are perfectly balanced and delicious. On the weekends the place feels really cozy and I’ve come to expect professionalism from the place and the staff. So far it’s been consistently great! I actually also really like their sparkling water... totally random but looks like they make it in house and it’s perfectly fizzly and soft!
J. B.
Wonderful place to eat, best time if you can is the beginning of the week.
Really good food and excellent service. Try their home made Ginger ~Beer
C. M.
Truly amazing! Incredible food and cocktails at a very reasonable price.
The servers were attentive, friendly and prompt.
Would definitely recommend
C. K.
What a wonderful experience. Absolutely a beautiful setting, looking over London and Tower bridge. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was out of this world. Highly recommended.
D. R.
Amazing food and service.
My daughter had a lovely surprise cake for her 13th birthday
Highly recommend
m. w.
It was pleasant experience staff were really nice and located us in a lovely table food was good, although it didn't blow my mind overall. A really nice experience there
K. N.
Loved the aesthetics of this restaurant. Reminiscent of The Beverly Hills Hotel with its use of colour for the interiors, bright pinks and palmy greens. The food was good, reasonably priced for central London too. I paid £14.95 for eggs royale with chips and £16.50 for a glass of Veuve Cliquot Rose and if you are familiar with the cost of London dining, you understand that's pretty reasonable. Nothing to write home about in terms of food quality or presentation. The reasonable prices and aesthetics were the best parts of this dining experience. One point of criticism was the rude attitude of our waitress. When it came to paying the bill, me and my friend were splitting it in half. I asked if she needed me to calculate the split for her and she replied in a huff, 'yeah this isn't a calculator it's a card machine' and it was the way she said it as much as what she said that was rude. I understand that she was busy, however there isn't an excuse to speak to customers like this. My reply was that some people are great at maths and wouldn't need a calculator. Other than that, I enjoyed my experience at The Ivy. Would I return? Probably not! Once is good enough for me.
H. S.
Delicious food and excellent service - a real treat. Four of us dined here and enjoyed a selection from the three course menu. Beautiful presentation and swift service from polite and attentive waiting staff, it wasn't long before we were tucking into our mains. Slight food envy from the boys who opted for a somewhat dissappointingly skinny steak, whilst the girls indulged in a crab linguine. The girls won once again on dessert, trumping our camembert with an unbelievably wicked chocolate bombe...thank goodness they struggled to finish!
Post dinner drinks in the upstairs bar with splendid river views across Tower Bridge brought about a pleasant finale to our evening at The Ivy; an evening to remember and certainly worth a visit.
J. B.
I was an invited guest to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were a party of four, booked an upstairs table with views overlooking the river, Tower Bridge and Tower of London. We all enjoyed our meal which was well presented and tasty. Total cost was about £126.
S.
really loved this place, great food, hallumi popcorn was amazing
E. G.
The ivy Tower Bridge is a restaurant to visit absolutely. Excellent meals, non alcohol cocktails as well. The view of the Thames is amazing!
I. C.
Delicious dinner and great desserts with a good location right next to tower bridge
D. N.
Really a lovely place to be.
Food is fresh and the Service is perfect.
Was there for my bday and they treat me amazingly. Thanks to the team(+ 💯 for the chef)
K. H.
Excellent from start to finish. Superb cocktails at the bar served by knowledgeable bar staff. Good menu with something for everyone plus a comprehensive wine list. Loved it.
L. P.
Food was superb. However the staff who are supposed to be legendary were surly and unsmiling. Very long wait times. Cocktails arrived in the middle of main course. Had to chase for the dessert menu.
S. S.
We had a lovely wedding day lunch here yesterday. The service and food were both great - thank you to the team for making us feel so special.
M. S.
Very good food for this price range. Most deserts are served in a special way and if you sit outside the view is awesome too. Unfortunately when we were there, the kitchen had a problem and we waited an hour for the main course and another hour for the desert...
J. A.
A lovely afternoon tea! Definitely recommend!
M. B.
Omg the food, wine and service was exceptional 👌
E. F.
PROS:Brilliant views of Tower Bridge, friendly warm staff.
the food is INCREDIBLE. The steak tartare and French onion soup are divine, ad are the truffle and parmesan fries.
Service was hit and miss with coffees coming ten minutes apart.
Discretionary 12.5% service charge automatically applied to bill- When did brits start doing this? It's so unbritish! I much prefer to tip as I feel, knowing it will go directly to the waiter.
K. G.
This was a revelation to us, we where looking for somewhere to eat post Shard cocktails and remembered seeing the Ivy on our last visit. It was a Bank holiday Saturday hence we had to wait in the bar for a table. The food was of far better quality than the price would indicate. Great service and attitude among the staff, highly recommended. The Steak Tartare was wonderful.
C. K.
Nice restaurant with glorious views of the river. The afternoon tea is pretty nice. You definitely need to book though as it gets very busy.
L. C.
Another great Ivy restuarant! Stunning views from this venue, right next to Tower bridge.
Service excellent as always. Lovely breakfast menu! Fantastic food and drinks.
C. M.
Lovely spot for breakfast. The view is amazing and both the restaurant indoors and the terrace are decorated beautifully. Food and coffee were good. The staff who served us were smiley, friendly and attentive. The staff members who greet you at the door could’ve cracked a smile.
A. A.
Food was very average. Waiters always in a rush. And even though my dessert came late after I had to ask for it; we was told we only have 10 minutes left on the table.
P. H.
Food was amazing, salt and pepper squid followed by braised pork cheeks. Views of the bridge and the tower on the opposite bank make this location one of a kind. Attentive staff and a cosy environment
S.
This afternoon tea set that I have ordered is fantastic. It taste extremely good. With the environment and the quality of food that the restaurant has offered, I would say that the price that I have paid is worth despite that it is much expensive than usual.
However, I rate 4 stars as their service could have been better. My friend had waited for more than 20 mins for his second course, dessert to arrive. We had informed the waiter 3 times about this.
B. F.
Having attended the nearby Chinese Food Festival and finding the waiting time for food horrendous, we decided to take a walk and what an inspired idea it was. Prompt and friendly service, sadly what I originally ordered (Steak sandwich "French dip") was no longer available. I was recommend a second dish, the Chicken sandwich with Truffles which was lovely. My wife had the Avocado eggs Benedict which was greatly appreciated. A healthy Berry smoothie to was it all down with, what a perfect lunchtime treat while watching the world go by with iconic London in the background.
J. L.
The Ivy Tower Bridge is a nice place to grab dinner after a full day of tour the area. It has free wifi (which is a plus for travelers) and the menu is filled with a little something for everyone. I don't remember what I ate, so the food was is not memorable, however it was delicious. The cocktail menu is also pretty nice. The only unusual thing is that we had about 4 to 5 servers during out visit. Not sure if this is a new style serving system to optimize service times but it was new to me.
G. C.
Great service and the food was lovely. We had a table that had a direct view of Tower Bridge. Do ask for that when you're making a reservation.
D. S.
This was a travel industry event in the private dining room above the main ground floor public dining.
Decor first class and outlook through floor to ceiling windows over Thames the Tower of London and Tower Bridge iconic.
Even those seated facing away from the window had the view via mirrors. Staffing very good, quality of afternoon tea pretty good. Annoying aspect of these reviews is there being no 4.5,only 4 or 5. Little things really justify a 4.5 here. I've had better scones,I've had better coffee, and didn't hear a choice of teas being offered. There was a mixup on numbers and seating was laid out three short, a waiter had a calamitous drop of crockery, and savoury items nice but limited and not adventurous. To compete at the highest level in London for ' the birthplace' of afternoon tea, these things need improving, but when the champagne is flowing everybody is happy
K. P.
Beautiful experience. We went to London on a mini honeymoon and could not have asked for more from this place. Food was delicious, great view of the skyline from the table itself, and they even threw in a congratulations dessert on the house! Absolutely thrilled with the service as well.
A. G.
The location, the food, the drinks, the ambience and the staff were all fantastic! Could not fault anything! I would highly recommend it!
M. S.
Molly thank you for giving us THE BEST SERVICE!
Now we know our favorite white wine! See you next time 🥰 X
W. Y.
Have been here a few times now since it opened a couple of weeks ago. Nice food and good service as expected them to be although they tend to lead me to indoor seating albeit, when booking, I do request a terrace table and there are free tables on terrace. Only when you ask about the terrace again, then you get it ... ...
M. W.
Went here recently, got given a table in the back which meant no view of tower bridge. Service was slow. Food was ok. High point for me was a blood orange margarita. Very expensive for an underwhelming experience.
E. E.
Lovely anniversary meal there. Staff were very attentive and the food was yummy!
I. K.
I'd highly recommend this place! We had a dinner with a group of 5 while on holidays, and had absolutely great experience. Food was delicious and extremely professional and welcoming staff. Great view on the Tower Bridge and city during the evening.
M. B.
The best shepherds pie, ever ! Beautiful place. Kind, courteous staff. Just lovely. We will be back 😘
P. S.
As always, lovely decor inside. Slightly set back off the main drag by the river. Food and service nice as always with an Ivy. Will go back
K. H.
Great spot to meet friends or family for a meal. Plenty on the menu to choose from. Had the shrimp burger which was delicious. Service was slow and it wasn't that busy but we didn't mind towards the end because it meant they didn't rush us to leave.
L. G.
Actually, not that impressed. Greeted nicely and all that, but then took ages to order drinks, then service was a bit rubbish tbh. Food, my friend said theirs was lovely, but I thought my steak was over cooked. Nice ice cream though 😆
Location is spot on, decor is lush. I would go back with the girls to sit outside and cocktails, would have to be a bit more convinced to return for food.
A. H.
Punctual service and decent food. Good for Sunday brunch. Best to book on Open Table as it can get busy.
P. S.
Great food, fast service, beautiful decorations, and a killer view to the Tower Bridge.
Maybe a bit crowded, and little space between tables, but it's typical for popular places I guess. :-)
K. W.
Based solely on quality food, environment and the location, I would very much recommend The Ivy.
For drinks we had Salted Caramel Espresso Martinis, and a Champagne cocktail. Malbec later with mains.
For starters the table had smoked salmon and crab, duck salad, and parfait. For mains, ribeye steaks, and fillet steak. For sides, truffle chips, green beans, sweet potato. For dessert, chocolate bombe.
All the food and drink was outstanding. Wonderfully presented and delicious.
Unfortunately on our visit on Sunday evening there were multiple issues around service. Our drinks order included a champagne cocktail, and instead we were brought just a glass of champagne. We ordered multiple sides with our mains and when they were brought to the table one of the sides was the wrong side. We ordered steaks at different temperatures, and even after checking on arrival at the table they placed the wrong steaks in front of us. We were surprised to be waited on by three different people pretty much the whole evening - whilst this may seem a positive thing, it did lead to quite a lot of repeated questions which could maybe have been avoided if wait staff communicated with each other.
I am willing to believe that, maybe on another visit, the service could be better than we experienced. It certainly hasn't dissuaded me from visiting again in the future, but may point to some variability.
C.
Always enjoy the Ivy Tower Bridge sitting outside for the beautiful views of the river. Unfortunately the views are blocked at the moment with a Euro football viewing venue. Quite fun watching the supporters, it's quite a noisy experience. Food good as always, service friendly but slow. We did not mind as we wanted a leisurely dinner.
S. R.
We went to The Ivy as a pre-theatre dinner. We were running late, and needed our food quite quickly.
The staff responded to our request, and delivered our food at top speed and with impeccable service.
We both opted for fish, which was beautifully prepared and presented.
Great tasting food at respectable prices. What’s not to love?
M. B.
Visited The Ivy for the first time tonight, amazing experience from beginning to end. Food and service were both fantastic, our waitress Maria provided excellent service and added to a great experience.
L. N.
We came here without booking a table but they managed to find us the perfect seats. It wasn’t noisy at all which I liked as I was on date. The stake was amazing. The service was great...the waiters and waitresses were lovely. I really enjoyed my experience here. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
R. B.
Very popular location, you usually need to have a table booked in advance (been turned away on the door a few times).
Good steak, the truffle fries are amazing, enjoyed the meal - the ultraviolet cocktail was a bit crazy, had a flashing UV light in it which kept going!
Slightly on the expensive side for what it is, a main plus sides and one drink each came to £85 - no dessert or starters!
L. S.
Had the most amazing and romantic dinner here. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious food. And the best view of the Tower Bridge. would most certainly recommend.
J. C.
Classic Ivy dishes, but with fantastic views. Doesn't do anything out of the ordinary - none of that small plates, seasonal food stuff.
Just solid mains, simple starters, and nice wine.
Must be one of the best views in London though seated right next to Tower Bridge, overlooking the Thames. Definitely bring a tourist here - they'll love it!
R. H.
Always a pleasure at this place, views are incredible and food is always perfect. One of my favourite restaurants for any occasion. Brunch, lunch, dinner - always brilliant.
M. S.
Place has a beautiful view and very nice service. Food, however, is pricey but not really equivalent to the price you pay. Looks lovely though. Decor is quite specific. I love the tables next to the big windows.
A. C.
Had a lovely time and the food was delicious!
I love the area and the restaurant enjoys a really good position, just next to Tower Bridge.
Elegant decor and service.
I had to wait for a while for my friend to join and also had to write some emails and make some calls after lunch. I was never rushed or treated badly. The staff was friendly and helpful, the whole experience was quite impressive.
P. T.
Nice food but waited between courses. Good experience overall. Staff were nice enough.
S.
Amazing views....great menu lots of choices brunch lunch afternoon tea and dinner...express menu and a la carte.....very nice and amazing setting and service.
E.
Great location, nice drinks and food. Service is generally good except for the attitude of the receptionist who’ve turned away several customers.
P. R.
Lovely food, great ambience and for a great price! Would have been 5 stars but vegan mains options consisted of a curry or salad so not alot of choices. But delicious food nonetheless.
T. F.
Food was lovely...waited a little while for the main course, but it was well worth it. Service was really good too.
M. Z.
Had a very nice brunch catching up with friends. Food portion is great and taste is decent. We were sitting outside but kept spark but heating facilities and blankets.
J. X.
Brunch at the Ivy was so relaxing and peaceful. Watching the world go by and the wonderful landmarks made this an awesome treat from my friend. The staff were polite and friendly. Definitely will be going back.
S. W.
Excellent food in vibrant surroundings. A great eating experience with views of iconic London landmark's.
S. F.
Excellent service by Siobhan, she looked after my lovely wife and I and made sure it was a birthday breakfast to remember.
M. V.
All ok apart from steak ordered asked for medium/got rare got discount waiter excellent service.
T. R.
The ivy tower bridge was absolutely lovely place to have a lovely meal.
The best scallops I have ever had 100% recommend.
The Shepards pie was lovely too washed down with a lovely rhubarb gin.
And as an extra treat I had a choclate bomb which was lovely too. 10/10 and lovely staff very helpful and lovely.
S. J.
Lovely food, cozy ambience and serviced with a smile! Will definitely go again.
S. K.
I booked this for my 50th birthday. My husband and I had a beautiful meal. Service was good. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience and will definitely be going back to one of their restaurants in Scotland. Have to give a special mention to the twice cooked cheese soufflé. AMAZING.
G. Y.
Had a brunch here - quite nice, tasty food, great service, pleasant atmosphere. Good brasserie.
A. L.
Amazing service! Great birthday dinner for Mom, will be back soon. :)
K. C.
Very classy service and food.
P. M.
Oh wow that apple dessert is insane. INSANE.
Also, the view is lovely. We sat outside with a view of the bridge, and even though we started getting a bit of rain towards the end, staff were quick to make sure everyone was properly sheltered.
Great meal, was struggling to walk afterwards...
C. S.
This is the third of the Ivy spin-offs I have been to and they do a job. Don't kid yourself that this reflects the original, however its a amazing location, great service and brasserie food. I enjoyed it and had a good meal.....but it wasn't the unique experience that is the Ivy
L. S.
Nice food, very friendly waiter well priced, only down fall was a little to loud
Y. C.
Great service, great setting. Only had drinks and nibbles - tempura prawns, zucchini fries and calamari. All very good! Will be back.
R. C.
Lovely cream tea excellent staff
L. M.
Very nice place, very nice food, very nice view. However It falls short of its asian version (The Ivy Asia).
J. D.
Better than I could ever imagine. Immaculate from the hostess who greated us wearing a stunning bright coloured dress to the waiting staff. All so well dressed. Everything about the Ivy is bright and botanical.
P. L.
Delicious food, great cocktails combined with brilliant waiting staff and classy decor makes it a real experience. Location offers tons of attractions and fabulous views.
Y. T.
Amazing bar staff... Lovely service and attitude.... Definetly coming back for a dinner.
G. G.
Lovely service. And lovely food. I actually was looking for a different restaurant but ended up on this one and I'm glad I did. Food was delicious! I had the salmon cake with peas.
R. H.
Classic Ivy restaurant - with some tables allowing you to catch a glimpse of Tower Bridge. Nice food. The blackened cod was well cooked with interesting flavours and well priced for a premium dish. Nice decor. We sat towards the back of the restaurant which was a bit more quiet too.
k. P.
My choice of steak wasn't available so I opted for second option. Otherwise the staff offered a good service.
A. C.
I’m changing my review from 4 to 3 stars.
Every time I come back service gets worse.
Also, some of their booking policies are ridiculous. They wouldn’t allow me to book two tables for 8 and 6 people at the same time. They wanted me to do it half an hour apart. We ended up booking two separate tables online for the time we wanted. Not how you should treat regular customers.
J. B.
The Ivy Tower Bridge, by far has the best views. Views worth paying for. The service is perfect and what you would expect from The Ivy (5 stars).
I've only ever had the Blackened Cod and the Fish Cakes, both have been exceptional.
Really enjoyable place, and perfect for dinner for two!
M. C.
My ultimate favourite Ivy restaurant. The interiors are absolutely stunning! I also really like the food and entertainment they sometimes provide there. The perfect location too! And the staff are all very friendly and accommodating.
W. P.
Fantastic food and great location highly recommend
P.
Good veiws. Service was great. Food was ok to good. Steaks could bave been cooked better. I ordered medium rare and got medium well while my sister got the opposite. Only complaints are the air condition was not working on the top floor, so we were like in a sauna in our fancy suits. Lastly, our wine glasses ended up with small bugs four times. They did give us a new bottle. Overall would still recommend but stay on the bottom floor, its a lot cooler and no bugs.
B. C.
Nice restaurant, good menu choices, tasty food, nice view and affordable prices. Food took quite long to be served.
C. L.
Great location great food but more for special occasions than for a casual meal.
P. G.
Had a meal there last night for wedding anniversary. All ok till waiter came up to us during eating our mains to ask I we wanted desert....
We felt the experience was a bit rushed and you was eating at McDonald's. Food was lovely but if you take late bookings don't kick customers out half way through their meal.
n.
We were a little apprehensive about our visit after reading recent reviews but it was very good, with the only slight disappointment being that not all the patio heaters were working on a coolish day. But the service was very good and the staff were very friendly, the food was similarly good quality and the pricing was not unreasonable. We had a very good time.
E. W.
Delicious food in an impressive setting. We sat outside and had a view over the Thames and Tower Bridge. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
e. w. o. R.
Went to the ivy expecting great things but we were a little disappointed. We arrived 10 minutes before our booking but were not allowed into the restaurant having to wait outside until our table was ready. Had a mediocre smoothie and ginger ale. The ginger ale was supposed to be home made but was out of a bottle. We ordered from the 'ivy classics' section of the menu. The blonde had fish and chips and I had the shepherds pie. Both were alright but nothing to write home about. The shepherds pie was small with nothing accompanying it. It needed seasoning also. The fish and chips was a nice size but the tartare sauce was bland and the whole dish was nothing you couldn't get in any average diner. We left before ordering desert as the atmosphere felt a bit stuffy and not fun in the slightest . Beautiful restaurant though with lovely furniture and fittings as you would expect .
J. N.
Great location, attentive staff, a bit pricey and dishes are a bit small
R. H.
A quiet brunch on my own. The portion was perfect - small yet filling.
Had a range of berries with Greek yoghurt, lemon and strawberry (£8.95).
D. S.
Very tasty and good value 3 course lunch menu. Great setting and able to rock up without a booking on a very hot Friday lunch.
H. W.
Very nice food and excellent wine selection. Great service and the view from the terrace on the skyline of the Financial District with the Tower Bridge to the right and the London Tower is awesome.
J. D.
I had lunch here with my 3 brothers and my sister, we had a lovely lunch and fantastic get together. The staff were very attentive and friendly, food was lovely and arrived hot and in a timely manner. Thankyou all.😁😁
R. P.
Brilliant situation, couldn't fault the service which was friendly, prompt and professional. Food tasty and well prepared
K. B.
A fun evening, nice drinks, good ambience - tricky acoustics but we managed. Great service
A. M.
An ideal location with outstanding views of Tower Bridge. The starter and main course were both excellent and the price was reasonable for central London. Good range of drinks. Recommend
S. H.
Great food cooked to perfection, amazing attentive service coupled with a fantastic atmosphere!
D. S.
Had a steak dinner and chips. It was quite a bit pricey but enjoyed the food and great service
J.
Beautifully decorated and with a great view toward Tower Bridge. The menu has lots of lovely sounding options but the quality of the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. I ordered toast and a platter of mini pastries. Both came with preserves and for some reason they brought me all of them including duplicates, an insane amount of jam and butter that I could never finish! It felt a bit silly squeezing it all on our small table. The little pastries were nice though it wasn’t clear if they’re bought in, frozen or homemade. Service was professional. I probably wouldn’t come back but it was nice to try and feels like a good environment for a special occasion gathering.

A. T.
Great staff, good food, lovely location
K. P.
Good service, Great food.just didn't have any fish left at lunchtime.Relaxing place to eat and then stroll along river.
L. N.
Fantastic service! Rebecca & Mattia was excellent and we had a beautiful dinner. The food was delicious and the drinks.Thank you so much for looking after us. We definitely will be back soon.
J. K.
Food was excellent as usual great ambiance and views. Highly recommended
K. M.
Lovely dinner at the Ivy Tower Bridge on Friday evening. Michelle, our waitress was lovely. Although in training I believe, she was so helpful and friendly. A great ‘can do’ attitude. Well done Michelle
s. h.
Staff very curtius/Food tasty/Very clean/
Prices reasonable.
Why I didn't give it 5 stars
Menu could have had more variety
For the size of the restaurant the toilets were small
S.
Lovely food and drinks. Friendly staff. Excellent views of the river.
T. G.
Amazing food, amazing service and beautiful views of Tower Bridge and the city of London.
C. D.
Lovely atmosphere, good service and excellent food. What more could you want!
J.
Have come here several times, wonderful views of tower bridge, food is (mostly) delicious however service is hit and miss. Also located on wrong side of the river, so no sun in the morning if you want to have brunch outside in a sunny day.
Recommend avocado on toast from the gluten-free breakfast menu and the black cod from their lunch menu. Avocado with sesame (forgot exact name) is awful as it comes with a sauce that tastes like salad dressing.
N. G.
Great meal , attentive staff . 1st time visit and everything we hoped for - stunning location , nothing too much trouble - well done !
M. C.
Great place for lunch by London's Tower Bridge (you an see the Tower of London in the mirror). A wide variety of menu items and a casual but elegant atmosphere. Excellent bar choices. Highly recommended.
G. G.
Nice location of course
But beef steak is not their best dish.
Try something else.
I don't recommend Ribeye on the bone
M. A.
The grilled salmon was great and the restaurant has a great view and nice decoration. Also, the staff give really brilliant services.
V. G.
They have veggie and vegan menu but it’s the Same old vegan options time after time, whether it’s brunch or dinner. Salad or a curry. Both nice but I’m not going back because I don’t want to have so little choice. Disappointed with their lack of thought and imagination on that front. Staff lovely though.
M. S.
Wonderful new location to add to the Ivy's roster. Wide ranging menu covering all elements of Great British cuisine. Also a fine Steak Tartar
A. E.
Highclass service and extremely beautiful place. A bit in the high price range, but affordable for young tourist aswell as families and elderly people.
G. S.
Really nice bar staff
Went there for drinks with my partner quite nice and friendly staff
The last time we visited the service was pretty poor so it’s nice for a better experience
C. P.
Fantastic food as always from the Ivy. My only complaint was that this particular one was the noise levels made it difficult to hold a conversation at the table. Also one of the dishes was a little cold
A. C.
Brilliant brunch experience at the Ivy. The Chicken Truffle Sandwich did not disappoint, I would definitely recommend it. Groups of friends or couples would love this place!
C. B.
The food is delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent. Will return for sure!
M. O.
When we arrived the hostess' was nice we got placed at our table , waiter was on point food was very nice the ambiance was alright could do with more light had to use the touch on my phone to see the menu but overall I would go there again
R. K.
Good location and service is impeccable. A bit too "Instagram" décor for my taste.
N. P.
Amazing location and great views. Food didn't blow me away though. Go at night to appreciate the views of tower bridge.
T. A.
Here to have an early dinner. Promotion during tea time for 2 or 3 course menu with really good deal where we just site right beside the Tower Bridge enjoying our food. Great panorama view.
D. N.
We had a dinner in the restaurant and for the price we paid we certainly expected better service. Giving 3 stars because the food saved the dinner, both mains we tried were very tasty.
There was an awkward moment when our order got mixed up. The waiter served us dishes and left us with them for a couple of minutes then he must've realized that it was for another table (the order was pretty similar). Next thing the waiter did was to quickly pull the dishes away from our table and bring them to another customer - not the best thing to do in this situation, as no one going to a restaurant would like to be served a food after it stayed at another table.
K. H.
Great service, really catered well for special dietary needs. Fab location with view of iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge. Nicely decorated interior and great food that's worth the price.
A. F.
Great place, beautiful location, delicious food
S. D.
Very average. Lovely new restaurant at a great location. Went for late lunch (2pm) and it was relatively busy so we expected a delay but service was painfully slow. Surprisingly loud inside also. 15mins to get water and the first drinks order. Meal took 35 mins. Meal came- £16+ for a glorified chicken escalope and salad. You’re paying for the name which I accept. Finished our main and decided to have another drink and dessert. 40mins later someone came over and asked if we’d like anything else. The moment had passed so we went elsewhere to finish our afternoon.
J. T.
Fabulous food & the staff are so friendly. Will definitely return.
D. W.
Great food, service is ok, sat outside, was a pleasant dinner. Biggest steak is 340g @ £32, so not the cheapest option.
P. C.
We booked the day before and was the best afternoon tea I have had just loved the desserts instead of the usual cakes you normally get and the scones just melted in your mouth
N. D.
Visited with 4 adults and two children. Amazing staff and considering the prime location and quality of the food really wasn't too expensive.
O. W.
Love this place! Great view, great service, decent options for lunch/brunch and dinner! Definitely worth coming to when you are in London Bridge area!
D. H.
Incredible decor with a very bright, summery feel. I was extremely impressed by breakfast and look forward to visiting again.
C. S.
A lunch of superlatives. Everything very fresh & well presented. Well flavoured.
Superb staff; smart, knowledgeable...
M. H.
Fun place for a pre theatre dinner. Tasty food and cocktails served by lovely staff. Thank you, will be back when I go to the Bridge Theatre next.
M. Z.
Very good food, beautiful location, different - unique and elegant setting, but at the same time it's casual and relaxing. Top notch service!
A. A.
The ivy is very nice for dinner, but not so great for breakfast. The eggs benny makes me reconsider my life choices and it as my go to breakfast meal. It was super bland, not worth writing about but worth whinging online about. The price is about right. Just lacking flavour. I didn’t take a picture of the eggs benny, so here is a cardboard box.
S. C.
Meal was lovely, where we sat was very dark, had to use mobile torch.
R. S.
Absolutely excellent. Booked for my nieces 18th and we were seated at a lovely table and served by Cory, whose service was top class, couldn't have been better. Great food and drinks, for me the entire service is absolutely worth the money.
L. R.
This was wonderful. Christmas time with all the lights and decorations, and the bridge through the windows. The food and service were spot on. 5-stars from me and our guests.
J. V.
Food was just nice, service slow 🐌.
M. B.
Great location for breakfast and brunch. I would recommend reserving a table before visiting since it is a quite popular. Staff is very polite and helpful.
N.
Excellent establishment. Prices can be high for some but totally worth it for the customer service and quality you receive. Waffles were really nice and fresh - would definitely recommend them.
P. D.
Food was good only complaint was told last orders at the bar..we then ordered drinks .when drinks arrived two minutes later was told they were closing told to drink up not impressed
N. S.
Same usual The Ivy collection thing. The view of the bridge is very restricted. The truffles in the Milanese ruin the flavour palette. No need for truffle everything. The chocolate bomb desert makes a decent IG post. Table service really good
p. d.
Beautiful experience. Must try their crunchy prawn tempura.
J. W.
Fantastic restaurant near Tower Bridge in London to have scones with cream and jam for afternoon tea.
A. A.
Great food, view and lovely and attentive service
M. P.
Fabulous. Food, service, ambiance and location. Well done 'The Ivy'. Will definitely be back. 👍👍
P. P.
Food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Staff was attentive and engaging
S. C.
Our first server let us down...she seemed a bit moody and wasnt particularly attentive. However, a different one took over and she completely transformed our experience as she was upbeat and attentive without being overbearing. Lovely food as always but service makes such a difference!
T. K.
Great location and atmosphere. Food was okay.
P. P.
Excellent food and a very pleasant atmosphere in a delightful location
K. C.
Attended the Ivy after pre booking breakfast her for saturday morning.
Service was amazing. Attended the reception area that uses a cctv camera that registers your temperature and shows you on a small tv screen. We were met by a very polite lady who took our details and seated us inside as that was the location we prefared.
We had no sooner sat down and another lady brought over menus. Gave us a few minutes and came back to take our order. Due to allergies we had requested that one order didnt contain a few items on their set menu. This was no trouble at all and these items were replaced with more of the other items that could be eaten. Service was very quick and the food was presented very well, was piping hot and tasted amazing.
Highly recommend and i look forward to going back again.
A. R.
I’m not always a fan of chains even when upmarket and of all the Ivy’s I have visited this one has been the finest.
The Keralan curry is simply superb and any restaurant that has a vegetarian menu gets extra points.
Impeccable in every way.
M. S.
Good location. Tasty brunch. I had salmon and asparagus. A light summery meal. The courgette frites were very morish. I will go back.
H. T.
The food was delicious. Lovely gluten free options. A gorgeous view of London Bridge as well.
E. G.
Thanks Adrian for amazing cocktails!
Very attentive staff and delicious drinks, especially chocolate orange negroni 🥃
R. A. L.
Beautiful restaurant and bar. Worth a visit for the view and the interiors! Not too expensive but food is not impressive.
C. L.
Food and service were amazing and the view of tower bridge was out of this world.
M. P.
Upmarket afternoon tea enjoyed immensely, fantastic staff ,excellent views opposite tower bridge
A. A.
I had a great breakfast, ordered avocado on toast with gluten free bread and fresh mint-tea. Great service, nice staff and amazing view of Tower Bridge.
J. L.
Accommodating, friendly and staffed by a great bunch of people with good banter and knowledge of food. I came in with my wife without a reservation and was seated within the first 2 minutes. Great steak and the fish curry my wife had was amazing! Overall this restaurant impresses every time. 10/10.
A. L.
Excellent. Everything really! The food, the service and the view.
A. S.
Pretty for breakfast lunch and dinner with the views across of the THAMES
D. L. R.
Had a fantastic time the staff made us feel welcome and tended to our every need will definitely visit again!!
N. K.
Fantastic location and amazing food. Great views of Tower Bridge and nearby Shad Thames....perfect for a nice walk afterwards.
C. F.
Very nice area to visit superb view over Thames, Tower Bridge, The Shard and many more, and also very good and nice restaurants.
e. s.
I've been to a number of Ivy Cafes and this is by far the best setting. The interior is not as nice as the Victoria or Canary wharf venues but the food and service is just as good.
S. C.
The best. Amazing staff. Really good food
P. L.
Wonderful Sunday brunch. Decor is out of this world. Great service! We ended up dining at the bar which was nice and spacious with delightful bar staff! Thank you for putting up with us. It was great fun to watch the drinks being concocted and learn about what goes into them. You were all very gracious and approachable.
The food was delicious! The hollandaise sauce is the best that I have tasted! It was creamy and scrumptious!! The brunch menu gives lots of options including Eggs Benedict, Shepard's pie, pancakes etc which suited our party to a tee! Ur my new favourite brunch haunt.
A. T.
We had such a lovely lunch here. Our table was near the back, and felt private even though we had a great view of Tower Bridge. The food was delicious, the chairs were comfy, the decor was elegant and the pink G&T was worth visiting for. But best of all was the service. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and when she saw a birthday card being given, she secretly arranged for a tiny cake and candle to come with our desserts.
T. X.
Food is incredible as is the view! Perfect spot for a brunch or dinner
P. K.
Great food, service, atmosphere and location all at a reasonable price. Good selection of wine and drinks. Everyone left thoroughly well wined and dined for about £50 a head. Waiting staff professional but charismatic. Will definitely be back.
v. B.
Absolutely fabulous.
Stunning location.
First class food.
Wonderful service by our Beautiful waitress Taz..who looked after us..X
b.
I'd love The Ivy Tower Bridge, good food, a honest selection of wines and an excellent staff
B. A.
What a view, and as always a killer breakfast with impeccable service.
K. J.
Very busy but to be expected in this location. Good food but service was lacking on this occasion.
S. O.
Really good food and great atmosphere. This truffle chicken sandwich and chips. Comes with a fried hen's egg and salad.
J. B.
Very good desert and selection. Everything was great.
T. D.
Amazing! Amazing! I thought the prices were good too for the quality and experience you get. Thanks for making my birthday so wonderful and the delicious birthday desert you surprised me with.
The hand sanitizer they leave on the table was so nice too! I stole it - sorry hope that's ok X
O. A.
Great decor, atmosphere and the view. Very attentive and understanding front-of-the-house. We feelt very welcome and taken cared
of. Birthday scone was lovely touch. It's worth visiting just for the drink alone (the bar section is beautifully arranged, cocktails are spot on). The food however, lacked the taste and punch. It was just bit too bland to be remembered. Maybe menu is designed to cater for broader/touristy crowd that wanders around? Seemed like they want to stay on the safe side. Saying all of the above, it's worth to mention that everything is very reasonably priced.
S. W.
Fantastic food. Lovely staff. Stunning view
S. C.
You’re always going to have a great time here, great value too.
H. B.
Food and ambience is lovely. Menu is limited but the steak I had was almost perfect. And I’m very very fussy with my food. Highly recommend coming here. But book in advance as they’re very busy.
P. S.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, fabulous food!
A. W.
Breakfast with the added extra of great service. The food was very good and it was lovely to sit and watch the world go past with views of tower bridge.
M. C.
Excellent lunch, great food and plenty to choose from. Fabulous view of Tower Bridge as well
a. b.
10/10 delicious
R. S.
Great food, friendly and efficient staff.
S. G.
Amazing place. Beautiful view u can enjoy , while eating excellent food and drinks. The coffee here is the best in UK and maybe the world. Friendly, kind and helpful staff. Thank you for being the best place to relax and eat. Inside outside decoration is unique. Simply the best. 👍
a. m.
Lovely full English breakfast in nice surroundings with views of Tower Bridge and The Tower of London. Excellent service.
T. T.
Very good duck curry alongside their own craft beer.
H. C.
We had afternoon tea.
Lashings of creamy cakes etc. Cucumber sandwiches a little aged which is a shame as everything else was presented so well.
Great riverside location.
J. S.
Loved my visit. It was a busy, friendly atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food was nice.
I. J.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Took my wife for a meal here for her birthday and she loved it.... #brownie_points
n. f.
Very good service, not sure if the foods were value for money.
l. l.
Great food and great service by everyone, especially Christina our waitress who added to the occasion.
L. J.
We had a wonderful experience, a beautiful setting, looking over Tower Bridge.
The service friendly and professional.
As for the food I didn't think much of it, great presentation but in terms of flavour and quality I can easily say I had much better within the price range.
However I have given this place 4 stars for the overall experience.
I would recommend but, I wouldn't be in a rush to eat there again.
C. B.
Absolutely faultless. My partner and I popped in for a drink on the way out of the tower bridge experience and we where so taken by the staff, atmosphere and cocktails we stayed for a few. We then booked to come back later in the evening and dine and it was perfect. The food, setting and staff are top class. Definitely our favourite spot in London.
s. k.
Very good views. Good food and very friendly staff.
N. U.
Enjoyed the full breakfast with a nice view of Tower Bridge. A little bit pricey.
T. P.
Standard Ivy fare, equals good food, the crowd being a bit businessy in that location.
p. d.
brilliant service! my server was exceptionally gracious and the chicken is delicious. However I would say when paying £4 for chips i would expect something much better especially from such an establishment such as The Ivy. I have had better chips from local takeaways.
s. n.
Was given specials menu but when ordered fish pie was told not available. 3 of our party were served their starters and the 4th person ordered bread he was told it was “just coming” but 15 mins later was told they had no more bread as the rest of us had finished our starters it was too late to order an alternative. I ordered broccoli to go with my shepherds pie which was cold. It was reheated on request but was so hard was inedible. Have eaten at The Ivy Covent Garden frequently and always enjoyed my meal. Last night the food was mediocre, the service like the broccoli lukewarm. Would not go back
A. J.
Very nice food and great atmosphere, staff very friendly and polite, will definitely return.
S. C.
Art deco style restaurant with the most amazing view on tower bridge. But the best isn't even the view but the cocktails, the food and the restaurant itself!
C. B.
Love all the Ivy Cafes/Brasseries!! Food is so yummy and so reasonably priced xxx Very happy customer !!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 + 👍👍💜💜 Personal Pics xx
K. D.
Visited for afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. I'll definitely return on my next visit to London.
S. G.
Gorgeous views and decent wine list, enjoyed our lunch here.
A. L.
Nice location and food OK. Not cheap but not too expensive.
S. G.
Great atmosphere lovely food really good staff
S. P.
Good food, fantastic staff, lovely atmosphere
A. D.
Fantastic location and good food at reasonable price for the very high quality. Could be amazing in summer but we had a winter meal indoors, entertaining clients without being too showy. Varied wine list, you can pay (relatively) little or a lot.
S. N.
One of my favourite place to stop everything I'm in London. It is right by Tower Bridge and across from the Tower of London. The food is delicious, the service is always good and obviously the views never disappoint.
L. A.
Always great service and tasty food.
A. F.
Food was flavoursome and fresh but I felt watched the whole time eating was a tad uncomfortable. Some of the hosts squeezed for convo which just wasn’t there. It was very busy so taking our order to begin with took some time, but food was served very quickly. Wasn’t very impressed by the cocktails. Aura and scenery was lush, great for dinner but I wouldn’t recommend the bar.
N. E.
Lovely food, great views and friendly staff!
V. S.
Super happy with the food and services overall. They even do a complementary small dessert with candle in case of a bday visit. However, we are not too impressed with booking and table reservation. We booked out table two days in advance and requested for a table with view or outdoor. The restaurant still couldn't fulfil the request and insisted outside tables or with view tables are for walk ins customers. So we got a table next to a dish collection point. Do go early to avoid disappointment.
B. C.
Fantastic experience. Food as delicious as ever, outstanding cocktails and charming staff. A bit pricey, but worth it for the calibre of food and drink and the treatment. Nothing amiss!
A. B.
Had a great time, the food was amazing.
a. d.
Me and my other half booked a table for 8pm, when we arrived we got taken straight to the table which was next to the window and in the corner which we LOVED! We had views of the tower bridge and other parts of London, which was beautifully lit at night.
The food was really quick, good quality, and priced just right.
My only downfall was that we got charged for two drinks which we hadn’t ordered and when the waiter told his manager that we hadn’t ordered them the managers reply was “they must have ordered them at the bar. The bartender is never wrong.”
This slightly irritated me as people do make mistakes but the manager seems to think not.
We did manage to get the two drinks taken off our bill in the end.
S. S.
Delicious good, great service and super location! Highly recommendable.
T. J.
Had a fabulous evening. Great cocktails, amazing food, very reasonably priced & the best table service by Andreas! Made our visit so much fun with no stuffiness. Very attentive, friendly, positive, professional & polite. Would have given 5* had we had a table overlooking Tower Bridge (which was requested at the time of booking) but if we had, we wouldn’t have had Andreas! 🤗 Will certainly be returning.
G. P.
Beautiful restaurant, celebrating our sons 30th Birthday.
N. W.
Great service, super friendly and with an amazing view of the river!
M. C.
The waiters were professional and fun, the food was amazing all three courses!! The crispy duck salad was just enough to wake up my taste buds ready for my main meal, slow cooked lamb absolutely mouth watering, succulent and just enough before heaven on a plate the chocolate bomb!! A fabulous affordable treat. A fantastic location with iconic views, all in all a great experience!!
S. W.
Its awesome service thanks a lot for tonight
L. E.
Had a lovely meal here. Great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.
