Reviews of The Life Goddess
I. N.
Amazing food, excellent service (every time!!) in a casual, cosy atmosphere with really great background music. I live in North London but travel here often, as eating at the Life Goddess is my treat after a long week. It's 'homemade' cooking outside, at its best. I am usually served by Bruno, Ahmed, Maria, Fare and Jamie, and what a pleasure it is too ❤❤
Thank you team,
From Ines

Wow 🥰
Not only is their food pure bliss but the staff are also very friendly & professional.
Plus, the restaurant is cosy & not overcrowded.
Will definitely recommend and be back when in London again

I went to the Greek Goddess on a quiet Wednesday evening but the intimacy and size of the restaurant meant that it felt full. We were warmly greeted and this service continue throughout the evening.
This evening was about me and my partner and as ever she was happy to share. I tried two starters and two mains. Both were fabulous
The starters of octopus was lovely the balsamic soaked baby onions added to the texture of the moouse and octopus chunks The Spanish sausage was also lovely a rich tomato sauce added to the taste of the sausage. Sometimes these dishes can have rock hard chorizo sausages but not here the sausage was cooked just perfectly soaking in flavours and tastes.
The main of moussaka is my usual favourite so I would say I am quite an expert here, was perfect. The layered dish combined perfectly with the green leave salad to leave me happily full. My wife's seabass was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic
This led me to decide a final cocktail was in order to finish the evening, thank you Greek Goddess you made a lovely evening for us both.

Undoubtedly, it’s one of the nicest looking restaurants I’ve been to. The concept of having a lot of beautifully decorated food items on shelves behind was very intriguing. The service was really warm and the food was amazing. We went with several starters because of the variety of vegetarian options available as compared to the mains.
I would certainly say this has been one of the nicest Greek food I’ve had in London.

Beautiful looking place, very charming. The food was wonderful and our wine considering the low price was delicious. My only negative comments would be they have the most uncomfortable chairs to sit and eat from and they bought out our mains as we'd just tucked into our mezze platter. After asking if they could bring it back in 5 as we had just started eating, another staff member came back and said its not possible as it'll go cold. I get that. But let your customers relax and unwind rather than make them feel rushed and uncomfortable with eight plates, four glasses and two bottles squeezed onto a tiny table and not knowing where to start. Lovely staff, lovely food and interior but customer awareness lacking.

Amazing! I’d been here before in January time and recommended my friends to come here today. I was surprised to see the whole menu was different, but happy to try something new. We shared the mezze and Greek salad - not small portions and they were lovely. I ended up with the Beef with cream potatoes and truffle oil. And it has to be one of my favourite dishes ever. I’ll be dreaming of it tonight 5*

Really enjoyed our visit to this little place! Delicious greek cousin, large selection of wines and cosy atmosphere. What else is needed for a nice autumn eve! 🍂🍷

The food, service and ambiance of the place make it one of my go to restaurant's. I have been many times of the years and each time I leave equally impressed. Absolute quality and great value. I will be returning!

Food was okay, not traditional Greek dishes. They're more like Greek fusion food. I wasn't particularly impressed with The Greek Meze (to share) platter, none of the dips really stood out - not great for the money you're paying for.
As for the mains, I like the lobster gnocchi with truffle sauce. The gnocchis were cooked well, retaining a bit of a chewy texture - great with the sauce!
Octopus stifado was tender but I don't think the sauce go well with the octopus. I guess octopus are best just grilled!
The lamb in the Kleftiko was delicious, nice and tender. But the flavour overall could have been a bit stronger - smaller chunks of potatoes could help as they're quite tasteless.
Dessert portions were very generous. The best one by far was the Angel hair, namely Kataifi, it wasn't excessively sweet and the pastry retained a crispy texture. It went well with the ice cream served on top.
We went there when only outdoor seatings were allowed a few weeks ago. The table was pretty small for the five of us, not the most comfortable dinning experience I have to say. On the upside, the service was very friendly and quick.
Though I probably wouldn't come back for the food, I don't think they quite match the money you're paying for.

3.75 stars. It was fine. Meal for 2 with a drink each about £70. Entree of olives and mixed dips. Mains of beef stew and lamb kleftiko both nice. Sat outside, for which heaters or blankets would have been nice

Great food, amazing atmosphere. Service is slow, which is unusual for London, but this is also one of the reasons I love this place. It gives you time to enjoy your food and drink and you don't feel rushed AT ALL! A really good place for a quick coffee, or a 3 course meal. Love it, and will go back every time I'm in the area

Greek Treat In London - lovely atmosphere and a nice contrast and much less crowded than the smaller coffee ships in the area. Food presentation was great and we received a friendly welcome but service was terrible, had to ask for a menu multiple times and there were no helpful suggestions or guidance. Coffee was good but spinach pie I ordered was unadorned and unheated so very average. Only justifys a 4 star rating.

a proper Freddo Greco in London, nice fyllo pies, good range of wines (no price labels, why?), amiable if amateur service that doesn't really know the greek produce as well as should be

We had a great meal here. Not standard Greek meal. Food and service were great. Will go back. Baklava was exceptional.

I usually pop in once a week because I am obsessed with their spinach pie. The service is great, everyone is very welcoming and kind. Will be visiting more often and trying more items on the menu!

What an amazing surprise.
We went there first to have breakfast (which was good), but we took note of it to get back for dinner or lunch someday...
It’s definitely one of the best food that I had in London.
Great balance between ingredients, really tasty dishes...
If you want to ensure a 10 out of 10 experience, share the roasted feta cheese, the pumpkin risotto and the meat cooked with red wine and mashed potatoes (forgot the full name).

Nice place. I highly recommend it for dates. My only minor issue is that the iced coffee is a bit watery. The staff could use larger icecubes that are not watery.

Amazing Greek food either to have inside or take away. The owner and the rest of the staff is amazingly kind . The plates are very generous (even more if you order to take away). And the ambience is just perfect.

Came for lunch and had ready made feta, olive and tomato sandwiches and coffee which were nice. Had a lovely seating area and good selection of both pastries and sandwiches.

Delicious food, friendly staff. Lovely relaxed, cozy atmosphere with soothing jazz music and fairy lights. Would recommend!

Loved this Greek restaurant. A notice board outside promised 'mum's recipes' and our lovely dishes suggest whoever 'mum' is, she is a fabulous cook. Hubby had a slow cooked beef dish with fondant potatoes, and I had a parceled dish of lamb, vegetables and potatoes. Friendly staff and charming location just off the main streets near RADA.

The food was amazing!!! Had a meze followed by moussaka plus a bottle of Greek wine. Would be a regular if I lived locally.

Delicious food and good service. Love the butter beans.

Great place to eat. Nice place to get a cup of something hot while waiting for the local shops to open.

Good spot for lunch and plenty of vegetarian options.
If not sure what to have, you can have a pick at the counter where all the dishes are displayed and point at those you like/want to have.
Loved their “spanakopita” (spinach and cheese pie). Quite pricey.
Friendly and efficient staff. Also bringing a bottle of tap water to the table on arrival (without even asking for it) was a nice touch.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. The food was excellent and plenty of it. The staff were lovely and friendly and I loved the whole cosy atmosphere. The only reason I have given 4 stars not 5 is( lucky for us we had come to the end of our meal.) The couple next to us came with a dog who was jumping everywhere.

Super friendly staff and v authentically Greek. Wonderful fresh hummus and flat bread starter. The moussaka came in a small pot but was oh so filling and delicious. My wife’s salmon paste with truffle was v truffly and enormous (luckily they let her box the leftovers for lunch another day). Fun relaxed vibe. V much recommended

Lovely place to eat, the portion is great and price is reasonable. We ordered several things but the lamb was my favourite and it tasted so goooood
M. F.
Went with Greek friends, wasn’t disappointed, food was nice, atmosphere was nice. 4 star because of this onion smell present through the whole night making my eyes watery - I felt exactly as if I was chopping an onion and everyone else felt the same thing, so it wasn’t just me.

One of the best dinner places in London. The menu is inspired and delicious. Kudos to the chef. Very friendly staff and amazing interior decoration. Definitely a must-visit.

This is not only the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to, but the best restaurant I have been to since .... forever (most likely since London reopen). The food was so incredibly good and I only stopped for a quick lunch bite. The cheese with fig was out of this world, I canot fault a thing. Compliments to the chef and recommend it to everyone reading this post!

I walked past this place with a friend and we made the best decision to stop for dinner a few weeks ago, although we didn't have a reservation, the staff was really helpful and accomodating, when it started to rain on us, they immediately moved us to a different table. They were very helpful with the wine list too, letting us taste different wines before making a decision. Excellent service, excellent food, highly recommended!!
We will definitely come back!!

Bought a Groupon for this restaurant and we were not disappointed.
There is a set menu but it has nice choices. Everything was fresh and beautifully cooked and served with smiles and good will. Small but cosy You will not be disappointed.

Excellent staff, swift service. Very good menu from which we had a few meze dishes. Order more pitta than you think you want, it is delicious! The saganaki is excellent too.

Good quality food and nice selection of wines.

A lovely cozy restaurant with friendly service. Not too expensive either.

Had a drink, pita bread and some cheese here with my partner. The staff was not very friendly, a bit overpriced and the food was ok. Would not recommend. The tiniest vermouth in the world

Really beautiful and atmospheric place. The food tastes amazing and truly like home (Greece). Exceptional chef. Highly, recommended

Gentlemen made me feel welcome!
Not too busy food and ambience beautiful.
Came here during a lunch break (table for 1) and pleasantly surprised. Always conscience of overpriced restaurants in this area but I would ya e paid full price for this food.
I had a mains (kleftiko) ,water(free) and Greek tea . The main meal was beautiful and I can’t fault it at all taste ,tenderness and temperature was perfect !!
The waiter was 10/10 service I think his name is Salvatore (brilliant man and he was the only one out of the 3 men that had a mask (well done #REMEMBER PPE #EACH 1 should TEACH 1

We haven’t been able to stop talking all evening about how good the food was. For dinner, we started with the zucchini fritters and the aubergine, onion and tomato gratin, which we thought were delicious. We then had the braised beef and lobster gnocchi, which were amazing. We also loved the wine - really impressed to see the amazing selection of Greek wines on offer. The waiters were really friendly and helpful, the restaurant was adhering to Covid-19 procedures, and the atmosphere was festive, cosy and welcoming. We’ll be back, for sure!
