Absolutely incredible meal. The set menu was limited but we enjoyed everything! What wasn't limited was their cocktail menu which had different drinks to what you would normally expect and all those we tried we amazing! Staff were all incredibly friendly and could not fault the service in any way. Will definitely be coming again and hoping to get booked for the Whiskey Room too!!

We went here for dinner last night ( we had the 3 course dinner with a glass of prosecco) and we were so very pleased with everything. Starting with all the wonderful staff, the beautiful, elegant place and ambiance and of course finishing with the most tasty food I've had in my life, and all this at a very decent budget. Wonderful afternoon tea and great customer service! I enjoyed an afternoon tea at this hidden little gem, so centrally located yet so serene in it's atmosphere. The service from the moment we walked into the courtyard and reception right through to the very end was fantastic. Staff come across very friendly and happy which is so welcoming as I'm sure it's not easy for them spending a whole working day wearking a mask. My mother in law was relaxed and happy and my 5 year old daughter enjoyed the garden and the afternoon tea experience with us, she was made to feel like a princess. I would recommend the Melody Afternoon Tea experience to all my friends and hope to be back very soon with the whole family. Thank you!

Such a great afternoon tea with bottomless champagne! The sandwiches and pastries were exquisite, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Champagne kept flowing, no letting the glass get empty so kudos for the staff who were really keeping an eye on us. Great variety of teas. Overall a winner!

Lovely cosy restaurant. Came here for Sunday Roast via Groupon. It was easy to find, took bus 27 and there was a bus stop right in front of it. 391 gets you there as well. Food was decent. You get a good selection of lamb, beef, fish and chicken to choose from. Our meal came with cheese cauliflower and a glass of bubbles. The dessert was delightful as well. I like the ambience and atmosphere here. If you get in earlier around 12.30pm you might get a seat by the window. It's a decent place to bring a date and have brunch. Recommended for family gatherings as well. They've got enough place for kids too. The service is fast, staffs are friendly and attentive.

I'm surprised at the high ratings. There experience was mediocre from the beginning. At the entrance, where one waits to be seated, they had piled up used plates from a high tea service. The food looked nice but was quite ordinary. It's decent as a in-house restaurant of a hotel but not worth visiting just for the food

I am in love with the fish chowder starter it is delicious the charred sweetcorn just adds to the depths of texture in chowder. I randomly came in the melody for a late dinner in a cold rainy night, I totally didn’t expect that they make some fancy dishes like these! From the little tulip on the table, bread and butter, mixed vegetables in the garden to the ravioli on the cloud, Everything was just so pretty and cute! Haven’t said that the taste was good too! I like the historical building that the restaurant and the hotel are in,it used to be a public school. I had afternoon tea with Champagne,amazing food and great service. It was not that expensive considering the decor was so opulent. There are alot of lunchtime deals on book table and open table,therefore it is cheaper.

My fourth visit in London was a business visit. I was there for a workshop so during lunch time I had to restrict myself to an area close to the office. On the last day of the workshop I chose to skip lunch at the office and headed to a place close, a place which I found lovely before going inside to eat. On that hot summer day I sat outside, on the terrace, and enjoyed the sun while watching people sitting and eating their lunch on the grass outside this place. The Melody, situated at 153 Hammersmith Rd, is a lovely traditional construction, its design and interior attracting me from the start. Stepping inside I studied the rooms a bit before moving out on the terrace and ordering the lunch fixed menu. Since I was in a bit of hurry I opted for the set menu and from the start I must tell you that what I had was really great. I didn’t have much expectations from a fixed menu but here at the Melody I got a pleasant surprise. Even the restaurant’s website states “Fine Dining in Hammersmith” and after my meal there I believe it to be true. Bellow I will review this place as I usually do so let us dive right in: Location: Hammersmith area. Business area. I set a set point as center at Marble Arch. From there to the restaurant there are 6.2 kilometers so even though the food is good it is hard for me to tell you this place deserves a detour from your time spent visiting London. But if you are in the area with business, since a lot of companies have offices there, you should visit this place. It is in walking distance from many offices and hotels so that is a bonus if you opt in, like me, for a quick lunch or for a meal after your work hours. Staff: Very good impression. After all since this place prides in fine dining it goes without saying that the staff should be top also. Helpful, providing me answers on the menu, time needed to cook a la carte the overall experience was very pleasant. Food: Frankly I did not expected that a fixed menu tasted this good. Everything from the soup, to the second course and the sweets tasted really great. An extra bonus for the sweets which were really, really good. I have eaten in many places both in my country and abroad testing different lunch menus across the places I visited and I can tell you one thing for sure. This is by far the best set lunch I ever tried. I will not take into consideration a la carte, special requests and traditional dishes from the various regions I visited. Only fixed menus and here this place has no competition until now. Prices: I don’t remember exactly the price but I think it is somewhere between 29-35 pounds per lunch and while this might seem expensive you need to take into consideration a few things. First this is London so everything is expensive. Second the area is business and caters to people inclined towards a higher price for a meal. Third the quality of the food. What really gave an extra boost to the meal was that day’s vibe. The terrace is surrounded by a tall wall, keeping the sounds from Hammersmith Rd to a minimum and I sat at the first table overlooking the patch of green outside where young people brought their lunches and they were laughing, joking and sharing a meal together. With such an atmosphere that hour flew by and besides the good meal I was able to sit outside, in the sun, and feel better for the rest of the day. That feeling of freedom, of watching trees and the green grass, of hearing birds not only cars and horns made me relax and unwind. All in all a very good option for a meal if you are close to the place. Since I will travel again during the next year with work I’m pretty sure I will eat here again.

Best garden restaurant in Hammersmith by miles. Don't be fooled by the discreet entrance, this is a hidden gem that offers a beautiful interior for chilly days and a lush, peaceful oasis for sunny weather. The staff is very polite, professional and friendly. The food is lovely and the wine list is rich. It's a great place for spending time with friends or a romantic date.

Fantastic selection of whiskeys! We enjoyed 3 different flights plus a few extra glasses. Staff were great and super friendly, really made you feel at home. We only had a couple of plates of food for the table to share and these were very average, so I recommend eating elsewhere.

Quaint, calm and very pretty. Didn't feel weird about using a voucher as some nice places I have been to almost look down at you, as if you shouldn't be there. But not The Melody! Staff were fantastic, and ir was quite relaxing. The afternoon tea platter (stand?) Was so incredibly yummy, I almost wanted to buy a whole cake from them. Only thing is that I wish I was confident enough to ask if it was unlimited tea or just one each as I wanted to try different kinds -- my bad!

Had a great champagne after tea here. Service was very attentive and our glasses were never empty during the time we were there. We had a really nice selection of sandwiches and two tiers of sweet treats. We went in December and the hotel itself was really nicely decorated. The whole place felt really festive. We don't live that close to the hotel, but we'd definitely make the trip over again as the experience was really enjoyable.

We went here for Christmas Dinner and I can only say that we were very disappointed. At booking the number of people was noted incorrectly when we got the confirmation we noticed this and we called to let the now it was meant to be for more people. Sadly the person's English on the other side of the phone was not really good and we were told it was not possible. After some discussion, they eventually agreed. Upon arrival, the booking was still wrong in the books. Luckily we could be seated. The food was very boring and it tasted okay. the portions were tiny, the filet of beef seemed like half a filet of beef and it was just all a bit disappointing. We were expecting more for 79 pounds a head. If you offer something please do it well or don't do it. The furnishing was really good and the table looked amazing as well. The lady serving us was really kind and served us really well. The manager/supervisor was talking very loudly which was very unpleasant. Some of the other staff were very nice but some just didn't seem to care.

Myself and my boyfriend come for afternoon tea annual to the Melody Restaurant. It's a lovely location, we usually use a groupon deal for afternoon tea. Despite using a voucher the afternoon tea is always lovely with unlimited bubbly. They really do not skip on the bubbly, they constantly top it up! The staff are very nice and they have a lovely garden with flowers blooming in summer. The only downfall is that sometimes the sandwiches can be a bit hard on the outside as they'd clearly left them out waiting for us to arrive. Otherwise it's a lovely place for afternoon tea.

Group of 4 for afternoon tea without champagne (groupon vouchers - roughly £17 each)... food was plentiful, lots left to take home and there was a nice variety in sandwich selection without beef/chicken. Scones were fresh and tasted amazing. TOO many desserts - carrot cake was particularly divine. Decent tea selection. Overall one of the best afternoon tea experiences in terms of the taste/quality of food altogether. Loose/fresh tea rather than teabags would've been a winning point but for the price can't even expect anymore. Service sometimes slow but staff were really nice and accommodating. Spent almost 3 hours there and nobody rushed us out. Decor lovely too- would recommend sitting near the middle windows for more natural lighting. Would definitely return! Want to sample dinner here next.

We had a team Christmas dinner at Melody on the 17th December. Quality of food was good, the room facilities were great with TV, projector and good audio (downstairs suite). What made the experience especially fantastic was the service and the two lovely people who looked after us-Valentin and Alin. They were responsive, patient, cooperative, efficient. I would like to thank them specifically for the high quality service throughout the evening!

Melody Restaurant was lovely, it was very clean, fantastic friendly staff, very attentitve. We went for Sunday Roast lunch as part of virgin experience gift and it didn't disappoint, the roast dinner was very tasty with a generous portion provided which included chilled champagne. We ordered dessert which was additional but reasonably priced. Although service charge is included we left a tip as the service was wonderful, would definitely go again.

The service was good. The decor is lovely, some friends and I had a Christmas meal there. The beef tartar starter was amazing and I'd go back just for that. The lamb shank was also delicious and I could hardly finish it.

The place looks great with a countryside feel. We started off ok with good food and an efficient service. The desert experience was a bit surreal: we had two guests ordering the creme brulee which was so big they couldn't finish it. My wife and I ordered the cheese platter which came with a lettuce salade. We also tried to order a desert wine which they apparently only sell per bottle, not per glass. When we asked the head waiter he was quite arrogant and rather than trying to offer an alternative, he said that the restaurant was 'different'. Not all bad; skip the deserts and you'll be fine.
