Reviews of The Orchard London
R. D.
We come here regularly and we've never been disappointed. Even when busy, the food and service is always exceptional! Highly recommend!
L. F. (.
This was my first time at this restaurant. I found it as I've waked pass many times and this evening I decided to have a meal there and treat myself. It was a real treat the meal was excellent in my opinion. I had steak which was very well seasoned and very tender. A glass of malbac helped to lubricant and enhanced the steak. Dessert was the ginger pudding with sauce. The ginger was strong just the way I like it and it was almost for me the best part of the meal. The other people in the restaurant seamed to be enjoying there time and meals to, some more than louder than others. A really mixed range of ages and the layout of the restaurant was very laid back with staff that seamed really efficient and not intrusive. Found out later when I got home its also a favorite place of my stepson and his fiancé. Will visit again maybe as a family.

Have been here for brunch a few times. Annoying that you can’t book online as they do get busy! Feels like a miss as they do get very busy.
Otherwise the food has always been of high quality and the service good.
D. M.
Lovely Local Boozer. Family friendly, reasonable prices, fresh cooked food, great beer, awesome staff + WiFi for those wanting to do a bit of work.
J. J.
Really nice pub grub and great service. We had a very sweet waitress who really looked after us. Would recommend the steak, and the watermelon and blue cheese starter.
M. L.
Really friendly and helpful staff, who genuinely know their own restaurant and the food. What a relief that it.. And the food is truly exceptional. Our main courses (one vegetarian and one fish) we're some of the best we've eaten in a restaurant. None of the courses disappointed and the cocktails were excellent too. Highly recommended!

Just off the main road this bar has a quirky and somewhat homely feel with a variety of spaces and an open-air feel with full width french doors.
Seating includes Moroccan style benches, sofas, pub tables and then more restaurant like table dining behind the library/aquarium divider.
The kitchen is open and directly behind the bar in the back left corner. It can be a little unclear where to order but the staff are all really friendly and welcoming.
Food is gastro-pub burger + fancy vegetarian with hand cut chips feeling like they were hewn from a baked potato.
Overall a good place for meeting friends and perhaps a date.
B. G.
All very nice people, but clearly vegan food is an inconvenience to the chef. It's 2021, not the 90's. We don't play the substitution game anymore. Sorry.
A.
Food is always delicious - the bavette steak is a knock out. Staff are warm and welcoming. Great atmosphere.
K. G.
Loved this restaurant. Lovely, friendly staff who are attentive but not overbearing. Nice, cozy atmosphere. Love the small, curated menu for both food and drink. Food was delicious! Can't wait to go back.
E. F.
Love this neighbourhood restaurant and bar - wish it was on my doorstep. Really friendly team, great cocktail list (the Orchard cocktail is very easy to drink!) and tasty food, all with a great vibe. Highly recommend.
M. K.
Beautiful place, great staff, lethal cocktails. The best steak I've had!!
K. o. f.
lovely venue
had a nice lunch with a friend, staff very friendly and attentive. food was lovely too
P. B.
Great food. Meat eaters and vegans all catered for. Child friendly too. Our party of six thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Friendly service. Highly recommended.
H. H.
Once again absolutely delicious food and cocktails. Can't fault The Orchard in the slightest. Staff are so friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere for the quiz, even though we didn't win :( would give it 10 stars if I could.
M. C.
Ahh! The Orchard veggie brunch is amazing! Their beans are so delicious! On my last visit I had a vegan bean curry with wild rice! And the banana loaf served warm is so so good!!! (Not vegan) The service is great, they are very accommodating with those of us who have food restrictions!
J. P.
Amazing food (best steak). Lovely staff.
N. H.
We haven't been to The Orchard recently (covid) but went last night for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. We felt thoroughly spoilt, the service was very warm and attentive, and the food and cocktails were delicious. We are looking forward to returning again soon - couldn't fault it. Also tables were well spaced and everything was clean so felt very comfortable there.
T. D.
This place never disappoints, the food is delicious and the service is spot on nothing is every too much trouble. We were so happy to see them open again after lockdown
N. W.
Lucky to have a consistently good and tasty restaurant within walking distance. Great cocktails and beers, the food is always on point, sticking with some classics and changing up for some seasonal dishes. Steak is a real winner as is the cod and the squid. Have had some really good dinners here and long may it continue.
G. R.
Beautiful food, great service, lovely location.
T. T.
Booked last minute having not been for a while (covid etc) and we had a great meal. Good menu, everything well prepared and presented and delightful front of house.
M. N.
The Asparagus Salad. This is an out of this world dish! Unique recipe, interesting ingredients, beautifully assembled on the plate, enjoyable from the first bite till the last one. Sorry for focusing on the single dish, everything else was fine but this salad just gripped my heart, eyes and taste buds and I cannot stop talking about it :D
G. C.
Lovely place to have Sunday brunch, great service and food.
J. M.
Probably my favourite local restaurant. Fantastic food - the bavette steak is always excellent and a great vegan burger too. Great choice of craft beers and wine including local breweries and a fabulous Italian red. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Can't go wrong.
And they always answer the phone when you call to book (recently discovered many others don't).
E. M.
Lovely place with intimate unique atmosphere...offering good quality food made with flair and served with smiley faces...a real treat with Covid in mind. Lovely place to meet up with friends or family.
M. H.
Great pub. Very good selection of beers on tap and in the fridge. Nice selection of the local brewery’s beers as well. Food was excellent, had the beef.
J. H.
I've been to this lovely spot in Brockley a few times and it's unfailingly excellent every time. Nice relaxed atmosphere, super lovely and friendly staff and delicious food. Visiting here is always a treat 😊
W. B.
Still a brilliant place to eat and drink in the heart of Brockley. But it has become increasingly expensive. The eye-watering bill is usually the main talking point rather than the food.
After eating the mackerel I found myself having to make a sandwich when I returned home. This main course choice committing the sin of being both expensive and small. (Did taste great though).
The staff were great, and I am happy to support local businesses over Covid, but ouch... Not going to be a weekly event.
D. D.
It can’t be easy running a business during these annoying times but the staff here were a delight , especially the lady with the dark hair in a ponytail . Warm friendly atmosphere and the food was just divine . It isn’t cheap but as they say up north ‘ yer get what yer pay for ‘ I will return soon with all of my friends ! ( table for three please ! )
P. M.
Really enjoyed my first visit to The Orchard, tasty food and excellent service. On a Tuesday night it was pleasantly busy and easy to chat. We had an unhurried and enjoyable evening. The seasonal menu provided good choices including interesting vegetarian and vegan choices. Will definitely go back.
S. M.
Lovely food. Excellent customer service
O. S.
Great Sunday roast and consistently fantastic service!
K. H.
Amazing food! And dogs are allowed inside❤
K. L.
Love The Orchard. Have been many times; most recently on a Friday early evening with my parents and children. Staff super attentive and very welcoming despite the fact that I had a toddler and a baby in buggy. Food great, amazing beer selection. Staff brought toddlers food out as soon as it was ready which was a real blessing! Have also visited for brunch which I thoroughly recommend.
K. W.
Awesome breakfast food, generous portions as well. Pretty decent burgers (you only get a choice between medium and well done but the medium isn't far off a medium rare). The sticky ginger pudding is to die for.
I. S.
Disappointed with the food. Overpriced and limited vegetarian/vegan options.
Very good service and staff.
T. A.
An unassuming restaurant that looks like a laid back cafe, actually has a phenomenal menu. It was so good I ended up having dessert (ginger sticky pudding, for which I now need to find the recipe!) It's relatively expensive, for the area (eg. a burger is probably £16) but the food really is worth it. They only had a choice of a few beers on tap which is a shame, but they have an extensive fridge of microbrewed treats.
L. R.
Same great food, drink and service... but with now added Covid safety measures in place that are far more reassuring than some of the other food and drink venues I’ve visited. Thank you for making your place somewhere I can properly relax and enjoy a meal and a drink!
C. G.
Best restaurant in Brockley. I have been eating here for a few years but much more recently as the quality has hugely improved. Nice wine and cocktails and ice that doesn't melt 5 minutes after you have your drink. Very genuinely friendly staff. Keep up the good work guys!
L. M.
Had a lunch here on Sunday and it was absolutely perfect. Worth booking in advance as the place was quite full. Lots of local craft beers, interesting cocktails and very good take on British cuisine. Busy but well worth a visit. Definitely coming again.
L. N.
Great space to chill and relax with a book or write a few emails whilst having delicious coffee and homemade ice teas. Great place to eat a la carte in a softly lit dining space. They've got a really nice balance and friendly staff that keeps us coming back. However, they do have quite high price points, so I can see it being less a hang out and more an occasional treat.
J. C.
We had the full English breakfast. Prices were not cheap but equally the quality was very high. Staff were all super helpful and kindly accommodated our various asks. Recommended for brunch.
P. B.
The most excellent service from one of their main hosts, we didn't book and he managed to make a table for two in 5 mins. The quality of the steak was v good and it was yummy, their brunches are not the usual 'avo on sourdough' different and delicious (wasn't so keen on the home made beans though - it looked like it had just been emptied straight from the tin) and the scallops at £!8.something was a little disappointing but nevertheless the look and feel of the place is lovely and super cosy. Will go back and try more from the menu.
J. S.
Had dinner at The Orchard last night and had a really good time. The place had a lovely buzz and the staff were friendly and attentive. I've been coming here on and off for a while as I live in the area and although they can get busy at times I have always experienced really good service and top quality food. The Orchard is a brilliant restaurant and is all the better for being a local place where the staff know peoples names and what they drink. I don't really write reviews so am surprised to see the negative review on this site which is so far from the experiences I and my friends have had. Or maybe they love the place like me and don't want other people to know about it!
M. A.
The Orchard, Brockley is just fab and loved by everyone. Whether it be for just drinks, brunch or dinner, they never fail. The staff for me is what makes me come back time & time and the food of course but Ed & his team, Stef and the crew, to each and everyone who has always served me and my friends are the most welcoming, knowledgable and friendliest bunch of people and it’s a joy to see them. On top of this, a lot of new people are moving to brockley, they always seem to ask me where to go, I recommend the guys and even new locals say the same “what an amazing place, food and staff” So keep up the amazing work guys, we locals will carry on supporting each & every local Business through these tough times! You makes us smile with your lovely faces and great food! Edamame Fritters are back!!!
S. H.
Good menu and staff friendly.
J. S.
We went there for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. The food we had was well cooked and extremely tasty, waiting staff were helpful and attentive without being overbearing and the place had a nice vibe. They do a decent bloody Mary and have a good selection of craft beer.
B. P.
Lovely food and cocktails. Staff pleasant and attentive!
I. M.
One of the best places to go for a drink or a bite in Brockley.
Very nice and friendly staff. Good selection of beer and non alcoholic drinks. The food is really good too
S. K. (.
Great food and lovely atmos as well.
S. G.
Lovely Bavette steak, thoroughly recommended. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.
j. L.
This place is the best for long lunches, with games and toys to keep the kids amused then the adults can get down to the business of eating the wonderful food. The drinks menu is well thought out with micro brewery beers and single estate wines. The menu is varied enough to satisfy the pickiest of palates. Big shared table in the middle means that its social and lively atmosphere. A great addition to the Brockley locale
J. S.
Great food. The steaks are excellent and they always have vegan and gluten free options. Very good cocktails, beer and wine. Service can be a little slow but it's worth the wait.
C. W.
Their brunch/breakfasts are amazing! They also completely catered for my vegan sister who, as she likes in a small town in Kent, isn't used to such a vegan friendly place.
I recommend calling to book at weekends for brunch because it is very popular. Dog and kid friendly.
I really like it here, though £10.50 is quite a lot for a breakfast without meat but this is my only qualm.
Also, please never change your beans. I bloody love them.
Edit: Someone posted a one star for not having enough gluten free (out of an 8/9 choice breakkie menu one is GF and 4/5 veggie if I remember) and not using raw cane sugar then said otherwise that she quite liked it. This is not a one star place...
t. l.
Great service, lovely atmosphere and amazing cocktails!
E. W.
The service is usually good and nice staff. The food is tasty but I think if you are going to charge high prices then the food needs to be better. If they lowered their prices we would visit so much more regularly. Just not worth the price tag for. us.
M. J.
Nice ambience ,good food
J. F.
Friendly and great food. The food is lovely and you get a good choice of vegan, vegetarian and regular pub food. It has different seating options so you can go for a couch or a table. It can be very busy at weekends and evenings so it would've recommended to book a table.
M. H.
Excellent food, with flavour combinations well above normal gastropub fare. Great selection of cocktails, and bottled beer. Front-of-house friendly, though sometimes busy at peak hours.
T. A.
This is a great bar/ restaurant which serves a wide selection of cocktails and other drinks. The food is really good and there are a few clearly labeled vegan dishes. Nice atmosphere as well!
L. F.
We had great food and restaurant was buzzing.
S.
The steak if superb! The staff very attentive. Reason I am giving 4 and not 5 stars is that the smells from the open plan kitchen are rather strong - the place could do with a better ventilation system.
M. C.
Really nice place, great service. Food was superb. We had steak and the swordfish, both excellent and the flourless chocolate cake was a dream. Only thing was that the lager was a bit flat and warm, otherwise all was great.
J.
Great food. Staff friendly, non intrusive, professional and relaxed.
Have so far tried and enjoyed their full english breakfast and bavette steak. Both well cooked and as good as eating out in central London. Prices reasonable too.
Would highly recommend.
D. W.
Friendly gastropub. I had the full English brunch which was well cooked, the home made baked beans were excellent. Definitely more gastro than pub, although there is decent bottled beer selection from local breweries.
n. p.
The food at The Orchard is great and the Sunday roast is a real mouth watering challenge - make sure you book a table to avoid disappointment. Always find the staff to be friendly and accommodating especially when they are maxed out with customers. They now serve Brockley Pale Ale which is delicious and the coffee rocks too. All bases covered? Yes, I'd say so.
D. Y.
One of the best places in the area. Great food. Great drinks and great service.
S. T.
Lovely pub, good atmosphere and drink selection. Sunday roast had good quality ingredients but varying portion size - could have definitely done with better roast potatoes!!
k. N.
One of my favourite place to go for a meal or just a drink, or even just a coffee.
The place is cosy, relaxing. Out facing wall of tall glass windows provides plenty of natural light. Family and child friendly, yet there is a quiet area with secluded feel and warm ambience, separated by a wall/book shelf that centered with a big, integrated fish tank. WiFi and power outlets available, conveniently.
We arrived for early lunch at 12:30. Seated, ordered and food served, all done within 25min. The Beef coconut curry, £8 and something, was a pleasant, we'll cooked hybrid curry dish. The Beef was tender while the curly flower retains its texture. Perfectly paired with a pint of Rodeo craft-beer.
B. M.
I have never before had a "local restaurant" - until now. The Orchard sprung up in Brockley a few years back - when it desperately needed a nice gastropub - and I have been going there ever since. The wine list is good - the menu is the perfect blend of healthy, hearty, filling and particularly yummy food, the atmosphere is great. It's the perfect hangout with your friends, and I hope to be able to go for a good few years more.
T. c.
Brockley is blessed with many great options for bars/restaurants but the orchard is my fave. The food is excellent they sell good and local draught beers. But the best thing is the relaxed vibe and the super friendly staff. Keep it up guys you're the best in town imo.
R. A.
A fantastic place and well worth a visit if you're in the area. The staff are really friendly, the food is fantastic with a very varied menu and a great drinks selection.
Shame there aren't more places like this really!
J. W.
Can't fault this place, the drinks are great, the food is delicious, and the staff are incredible, very friendly, and i honestly just can't waot to go again!
D. D.
Local pub. Lovely lovely staff, looks great too. I know London isn't a cheap place, but I wouldn't expect city prices in Brockley. This is the only thing here, it is quite pricey! It is worth the money, absolutely. Although I wish it was a little bit cheaper so I could use it as my local weekly. Recommend!
S. F.
Amazing food, excellent staff
J. S.
Great service, some dishes very tasty couple a bit meh
P. C.
Friendly staff, a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, good food, what's not to like? Well there is one thing, wine by the glass should be cheaper, I felt I'd been stung when I was charged £7.50 for 75cl of rosé...
S. S.
We took my Mum to the Orchard last night to celebrate her 85th birthday. The staff treated us so nicely and made us feel so welcome - we had a wonderful evening. Oh and the food was great too.
T. M.
Great food, terrible service. Really terrible and have been there loads. Drinks spilled, orders forgotten, orders confused, ridiculously long wait-times, even when not busy, menus dropped (that's obviously not a big deal, but it's quite comical in the context of overall terribleness). I suppose the food is good enough to keep us going back but still, one of these days I might complain. Or just write a worse review. Sort it out!
A. B.
Love the Orchard. Modern British boutique Bistro in Brockley. Enjoyed a veggie full English and a signature chilli and pomegranate martini. Friendly ambience and interested staff. Lovely for a girly get together, family brunch, late dinner. A great all-rounder
R. B.
That tuna was one of the best meals I’ve had... oh my
Y. Y.
Excellent customer service. The food is good. Variety including vegetarian and vegan friendly options. The edamame fritters are chummy. Good coffee and ice cream.
S. T.
I would give this place a 3.2 if I could but I am feeling nice today so I put a 4 star down.
I usually go to the Quiz on a Sunday night here with a couple of friends. The quiz is always fun and always pulls a crowd. You want a fun pub quiz that isn't full of quiz obsessives and proffesh teams then head here.
What is my main gripe is the table service. Now, it is all fine and well if the staff we actually on it and came to your table. don't have a tiny bar where I can't order just a drink to never come to my table. What then flips this is you then have to pay at the bar. It really doesn't make a lot of sense. It is a good place, nice addition to Brockley with lovely food it is just the logic that lets it down.
R. L.
Nice and cosy. A bit pricey if your just having drinks though. Revisited in July. Great food. Excellent burger and steak.
E. O.
Love this little gem! Exquisite friendly staff, choice of different drinks and a lovely choice of good healthy food. Great place if you want to relax or go with friends.
A. H.
Came here for some evening drinks, great ambience and really good cocktails.
T. B.
Lovely little restaurant in the heart of Brockley. They do fantastic dinner and cocktails. Considering there are not that many eateries in Brockley, this one is a real gem. It is very close to the station as well, which is really handy. Definitely worth a visit!
A. S.
Haven't been there for years and was actually pretty disappointed in the end. We were a group of 8 and the stuff just didn't seem to be able to get anything to us.
For the price you expect a slightly better breakfast as well.
J.
One of my favourite places to eat and enjoy the vibe. Amazing fresh food with an interesting, changing menu, yet not pretentious. Always go for bread and oil to nibble mmmm fresh made white bread!
J. P.
Went for Sunday lunch and was rammed so clearly a popular place. Staff were friendly and the service was surprisingly quick considering how busy it was. Food is nothing special considering the price but I enjoyed the nice atmosphere.
R. S.
Friendly staff… amazing food… good atmosphere… I strongly recommend…
Z. P.
Sweetcorn fritters with avocado and halloumi... in maple syrup! This is possibly one of the most insanely good brunches I have ever had. I hadn't spotted the maple syrup in the description but it made for a rather delicious surprise (halloumi and syrup together is pure sugary genius). As a veggie, I'm instantly smitten with anywhere that does such inventive, fun non-meat options... and my meat eating companions were equally impressed with their huge Sunday roasts that contained 'hidden roast potatoes'. As well as the food, the coffee really hit the spot. And our table next to the fish tank – full of inquisitive fish – and surrounding bookcase – full of old and unusual books – added some extra and unexpected entertainment as we leafed through a disintegrating copy of Victory and Valour while being eyeballed by a fish!
P. A.
I was wary at first because of a few poor reviews of this restaurant but I decided to give it a try anyways and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. Nothing fantastic but well worth a trip if you're in the area.
m. c.
Great place and i wish we had more of these kinds of places in the area. Looks great inside. Modern gastropub / grill. Good beer selection. Comfy seating. Quality food. great
J. H.
Always a great atmosphere with The Orchard, and comforting food to go with it. The steak always nails it. Good beer and wine selection, great casual treat place.
A. M.
Nice staff. Food good, though sometimes over salted. Low level lighting, cozy. Book in advance if you want food else you'll be moved on if only drinking
S. D.
Calamari is divine with it's sticky Hoi sin sauce and shavings of something that is really nice. Always good service and food is reliably perfect everytime. Nice when the windows are flung open and the sunlight floods in.
D. B.
Lovely place for a sneaky beer or a bite to eat. Knowledgeable friendly staff give this place a welcoming feel and the food is normally of a very high quality.
T. W.
Always a good night out. Great food, plentiful portions and a decent wine. What more could you ask for.... only problem is it's not big enough
T. C.
Great food here and dog friendly!! Try the squid, you won't be disappointed. Excellent selection of draft craft beer, ice cream is a must.
S. K.
Great place. Delicious inventive dishes. The best vegetarian breakfast I've had. Good cocktails too.
S. D.
A bit gentrification esq. Pointless table service, but a reasonable quiz. Had fun. OK lager. But at £5 a pint felt a bit steep.
P. C.
Lovely staff, delicious food and a good atmosphere.
J. F.
Fantastic food and service, it's pricey but definitely worth it. My girlfriend hates burgers and she tried the orchards burgers and now she's a burger fiend. All I hear about it burger burger burger and they do gluten free burger.....
Burger

The Orchard is a Friendly bar/restaraunt lovley staff and vibe. Didn't eat, but the food looked delicious, spent a happy hour of my life listening to the burble and snippets of friends enjoying being together chatting and eating. After a while I noticed I'd been distracted from wondering how long the 484 bus would be arriving at the stop, a spits distance up the road from the comfy worn in leather sofa that held me in it's neatly stitched soft and shiny arms by the front window.
I still can't decide if the bar is cool because the people happen to make it cool. Or the people are cool because the bar happens to make them cool.
Either way everyone's winning especially me.
I think I'll scratch the bus and walk through the Brockley neighbourhoods, over hilly fields to lewisham. It's a nice walk.
This city is mine. :)
Hugs easy.xx

This is one of my locals and I love it: good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also great drinks. The staff are very friendly and the manager is great.
J. H.
By far one of the best places to eat in south London, food is always fresh and melts in ur mouth. The Orchard is always buzzing and vibrant. You will not be disappointed!!
m. p.
sevice is slow, but it seems that only one person work in the kitchen. all the people working here are never bothered to smile. Food is average modern pub food: hamburgers, "healty" salads kind of thing. Is not bad and worth a visit expecially if you live in the area. It can definetely improve!
M. C.
Attentive staff always serving great food and drinks
L. C. (. C.
Cozy and modern with nice options on the menu.
I. M. M.
Good local restaurant offering a great takeaway service of coffee and good food. Many thanks, Emily Ho.
R. C.
My mum and I went here for one cocktail and ended up having three and staying there until closing. The staff knew what they were talking about and made my mum a bourbon sour which wasn't even on the menu.
R. S.
Honestly one of the best roasts I’ve had in London. Beef was cooked perfectly and the rest of the plate complemented it.
J. B.
Good food, nice staff, really good selection of craft beverages. However, the internet often cuts out, making it hard to work here sometimes. Wish they would fix it.
A. M.
We haven't been here for a while, the food seemed to have improved and the staff were excellent. Really nice evening.
C. D.
I personally found the place a tad pricey for what they served and the amount of food that they served, especially starters. The mains were really good, absolutely delicious but I found the place trying to be more than it actually is.
The place could be so much more, shame.
E. S.
I always go with my puppy on the weekends, the breakfast is amazing!, specially the veggie english breakfast. Also, is good to note that the staff are very friendly and attentive.
L. M.
Absolutely amazing place, been coming for years and never gets tired. Rose is the best and at £26 a bottle your in for a good night!
T. T.
It's a nice little gastro pub.
Serves great food and more!
However, their bathrooms can be improved.
V. V.
Friendly staff. Great wine. Food not bad but only tried one small thing
R. P.
Great place to go. Food is great the HC Dan is talented and the food is seasonal light and flavour full. Nice atmosphere good location. Don't miss out.
L. R.
My second visit and the food was absolutely delicious as it was the first time. Great friendly, helpful staff and lovely ambience.
G. W.
Lovely food and great service, first time here, would highly recommend
F. a. h.
Well overpriced!
Good pleasant service and ok atmosphere.
Comfortable seating
C. L.
Good friendly service and great tasty food..visited, Saturday early PM. Seems to be a restaurant for folk with very young families..
P. P.
Slow service and not a great choice of food. Won’t come back
R. L.
Great place to brunch. Prices are reasonable. Dogs are allowed to chill and pop a squat. =) Well done people!!
J.
Really good quality restaurant food in a relaxed and comfy bar setting. Dog was welcome and they accommodated a last minute reservation.
P. C.
Had a super meal in a great atmosphere served by friendly staff. Can't get much better better than that!
G. T.
The food was excellent and the service was 1st class
F. T.
Great pub food and good selection of cocktails. I can recommend the Bloody Mary for a hangover brunch.
s. c.
Just ate a fantastic roast.
Will definitely return

As usual, brunch was busy and food was great. Even though we had our food much later than usual we really appreciated the staff for constantly informing us about our food status. The ambiance was great. Felt like my parents house on the weekend bustling with laughter, chat and kids.

Whoever designed the internals of the Orchard knows how to design an indoor space and experience. The music is exactly the right volume and it doesn’t echo off the walls or anything. I know this is weirdly specific but I love being in spaces where I can simultaneously enjoy some background music and also actually hear what my friends are saying without them having to raise their voice. I always have great chats here :)
Also the food is great and the selection of alcohol free (or very low alcohol) beers is great. And the selection of boozy ones too, of course
Get the aubergine samosa.

(Translated) A very nice pub where to have a break if you walk in the Brockley area (and it's a good idea to walk there, it is quite charming): the pub is welcoming, warm, good choice of wines , and quality menu.
(Original)
Un très chouette pub où faire une pause si vous vous promenez dans le quartier de Brockley (et c'est une bonne idée de s'y promener, il est tout à fait charmant) : le pub est accueillant, chaleureux, bon choix de vins, et menu de qualité.
