E.As people say this used to make basically the best burgers in the world but since the changes made (perhaps by new owners) it’s not what it used to be.
I would say absolutely though it is still the only burger I ever buy and is still magnificent. (The chips are no good though anymore, but, again, I come for the burgers, and the jus they also sell is so so good and the brownies are good too)

J.Ok so frankly I was a bit ignorant not knowing what beef bourguignon (shredded beef) actually is and thought this is Just a normal burger ...it's not. It's so much better. So much flavour. Like sooo much. Also got the fries with sauce. That sauce just tasted homemade....this is an absolut treat. They also included a tote bag in the delivery. Unfortunately the sauce leaked and the bag got smothered in the sauce although it does add more authenticity to the bag. Highly recommend this place! Lockdown treat

T. K.Awesome burger version: Beef Bourguignon. Really, really good! The menue is limited offering the burger in a few version with three sorts of cheese. You can also chose between bread or fries. The fries are also awesome! Make sure to eat the sauce!!!
P. C.Great quality burgers, buns and cheeses. Super tasty! I like the sophisticated French approach to burgers. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Soft drinks only, would have liked some red wine or beer - it’s a new place, so I hope they get a licence or charge corkage. Fries we just ok, served with a nice sauce, but the option to add some ketchup would have been appreciated. Tasteful minimalist decor, but sharing tables only (mostly occupied by staff) and cold temperature inside (kept coats on). Overall good, but there’s still room for improvement. I’ll be back. It’s nice to have them in the neighbourhood. Merci! :)
K. K.Expected more from the raving reviews. Menu doesn't make it clear that it's a novelty beef bourgignon burger - basically shredded beef rather than the usual minced meat patty. It was dry and the texture was stringy. Burger was quite small too and had no toppings other than sauce and cheese as far as I could tell (though the bun, sauce and cheese themselves were good). Fries could've been crispier. Service was good and quick (I got takeaway).

For me it's not a great burger experience because there are no items that really turn a sandwich into a burger: pickles for a bit of acidity, onions for sweetness, or tomato/salad for a bit of crunch. Or a very nice burger sauce. Go for it for an amazing meat sandwich, but not for a burger.
B. B.We wanted to try The Patate for a very long time and finally ordered through Deliveroo last night. my wife loved the beef bourguinon and the sauce but I found it very heavy. Its a good alternative to classic burgers but I wouldn't recommend eating it late at night.
