Authentic, best Indian restaurant in London. Very nicely cooked food. Friendly staff. Thank you
K. A.
Myself and the Mrs visited her on our trip to London! Hands down the BEST lamb chops ever! I'm a food connoisseur and I know my food, simply amazing. The Naga chicken was equally great. Overall, top quality food and a great service from Shafkur
Will visit again on our next trip

Great restaurant with good food and very reasonable prices. The lamb korma with pilau rice is to die for. Hussain was a great host.
They also provide free delivery, which is very useful in covid times. Plus, there was alcohol for hand disinfection in our table and our host kindly asked us to desinfect our hands before bringing out the menu.
We will be coming back

One of the best Restaurant in north west London. I took my parents to London for a 3 day trip. First 2 days we were served with pathetic food in some of the most prominent and highly rated restaurant. I didn't had much hope with this restaurant either. But the way the food turned out is unbelievable. It had proper authentic Indian taste with the right amount of spice. My family enjoyed food to the core. A big thumps up to Rajdoot. Highly recommended if you want to please your taste buds with authentic Indian food😊😊😊

Live in the area and this is the go-to for Indian takeout. If you live close, I recommend going to the restaurant and ordering and waiting. I don’t know what it is about their cooking techniques so that none of their dishes are greasy or heavy. Comforting and exquisite at the same time - thanks Rajdoot for being so consistently reliable!

The best Indian restaurant in London. The best food and service - I have been coming here for 5 years, and I have never been disappointed. Delicious food always full of flavour. Ali is especially good for making the customer feel at home.
R. Z.
Absolutely amazing food. Taste the way indian food should taste. Will be coming again for sure. Their customer service is top tier.
C. N.
Very bland chicken madras. Tasted more like a mild creamy soup than a spicy curry. Maybe their other dishes are better.

I am rapidly becoming a regular at this great little Indian restaurant. The curries are both excellent and plentiful, the environment is very relaxed and it's good value too. I eat inside, but they seem to be a real hit with the locals too as takeaways are flying out. 5 stars all day long.

Delighted by the delicious food and the courteous service. We found this place after visiting Madame Tussauds. The service was prompt and courteous. The food was wonderful in its variety, abundance and spiciness. I ordered the butter chicken and the spicy potatoes and cauliflower along with garlic cheese Naan. Every bit was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I am putting The Rajdoot in my list of London favorites.

One of the best ever Indian food we had. The tandoor paneer was to die for.. Can't explain the quality of the food, it was super good. We tried the chicken biryani as well which was also excellent. Definitely go for it if you can. The host was amazing and they made sure the dining experience was special to each person. All the best and looking forward to come back again.

We loved our curries in Rajdoot. First thing I liked was how warm it was inside, this was pleasing as it was cold outside and a cold restaurant spoils the experience. I really like the list of old-school favourites on the menu and had an onion bhaji to start. I then had a king prawn Rogan and thoroughly enjoyed the big, vibrant flavours - tangy, salty, spicy - really well balanced by the chef. Sides of mixed veg and mushrooms were also very flavoursome. Friend's prawn madras was suitably hot, and again, the sauce was lovely. Naan was bubbly and fresh; onion rice was a nice twist. Slight improvements could be that the prawns, whilst fine, were not as big, soft and fleshy as some of my local places manage, but they weren't bad and I'd certainly order same dish again. Mixed veg curry could be even better with a bit more variety of veg, but I'm slightly spoiled by Tiffin Tin in West Hampstead with regard to that. Another nice thing was the house white wine, that was excellent! All in all, I look forward to my next visit; the staff were polite and very friendly and the food was delicious.

Excellent food and service! Best Indian food in London. Ali is a wonderful waiter with fantastic suggestions on what to order. The Rajasthani Paneer is incredible.

Apologies for the late post Mr. Ali. So surprised coming to this restaurant. It looks like a ordinary restaurant for me but the moment you go down the stairs, it’s like going to a five star restaurant. Beautiful design, the table settings are unexpected. No paper napkins but beautifully folded serviettes. The food was fantastic. My husband loved the biryani while the kids and myself enjoyed the butter chicken with freshly made butter nan. So sad that we never get to taste the desserts being offered. We had few chocolate candies to take though. Great experience while in London. Highly recommended. Thank you Mr. Ali for such unforgettable experience. 👏👏👏💕💕💕

We were regularly enjoying a take away from the Rajdoot. However on our last two orders we tried to use their NHS 20% discount offer on collection and were refused both times. On the first occasion we were told that it's only 10% discount for collection. We accepted this information and put it down to our misunderstanding but this photo is taken from their website. It clearly states 20% discount for NHS staff on collection. The second time when we asked about it again, we were told that it was only if you dined in. Again, that is clearly not what it says. Haven't been back since this experience. Have no issue with paying full price for the food but it irritates me that it's advertised as 20% discount for NHS staff but then not given and also made to feel uncomfortable about asking. Food is variable. Sometimes have had good meals but others have been underwhelming.

The absolute best curry in the area. Ali is the best host and goes above and beyond to cater for your dining experience. See you again soon

Superb.
Excellent food and rapid service. It was packed by 7 on a Thursday, so consider booking!

Bloody delicious. Amazing service for a big group and great food. Good for food allergies and veggies. Mizam & Ali were great!
L. K.
This was an amazing meal. Ali our server was the most kind person. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

My friends and I love eating at Rajdoot. We always have the best service and they have amazing food. Ali is so kind and helpful!

Small quaint restaurant. Delicious dishes full of flavors and excellent service to boot. I was on a stopover in London and decided to try Rajdoot for a late dinner because of it's proximity to my hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will visit again the next time I visit London.

Very welcoming staff, nice decent place. Food a bit on the sweet side though, expected some spicy food coming into an indian restaurant.
F. O.
Fantastic unique food and good service. I suggest the Chef's Special Chicken Tikka Masala. They have all types of interesting food and all of them are top quality. I highly suggest.
K. Y.
10/10 would recommend. The staff is extremely attentive to your needs and have very good work ethic. The food is also very savory and full of flavor. If you get the chance, definitely give this place a try.
I. H.
We had lunch specials there, which were good value. Both chicken and lamb curries were delicious and service was satisfactory.
a. N.
Excellent! Very local feel and fantastic food. We let the waiter, Ali, order our meal after a brief conversation of what we enjoyed and could not have been more pleased. Excellent for family night or date night. Well done, Rajdoot! So glad you are in the neighborhood.
S.
Good food although felt the service was a bit slow. The food was decent but could've been better. It is an Indian restaurant but run by non Indians it seems.
R. S.
While on vacation in England, we were lucky enough to find this excellent Indian restaurant in walking distance after visiting the London Eye. It was absolutely delicious and the staff was exceptional. 5 Stars*****
K. J.
One of my favorite places in London. Great food, friendly and top notch service. I’ve been going here for years and never had a bad meal. It’s a must.
N. R.
Great service and good food. Reasonably priced, although felt a bit expensive side considering portion sizes.
T. U.
Quality of food is 10/10. We were told that all the produce is fresh, and this was apparent when eating the food. We ordered, Prawn Puri, Lamb Biriyani, Tadka Dhal, Naga Chicken and Bhindi Bajhi. Honestly, could not fault anything. Requested all the food to be made traditionally and spicy made with Naga and the restaurant did not disappoint! Staff were also very friendly and accomodating to all our requests. Will definitely visit again when in and around Central London
M. H.
I regularly eat here and have done so for many years. That in itself speaks volumes. However friendly staff, excellent food and reasonable prices make this restaurant 10/10 for me. Conveniently close to Marylebone station too for last train home. And the manager / owner always welcomes me like an old friend.

The food is always good when I visit here for what seems to be becoming a regular occurrence. The briyani is always good and they accommodate for any requests. Ali was very helpful and welcoming.
Y. M.
Keema rice was amazing, the Naga curry was on point and the service was superb
A. H.
One of the best meals I’ve had on this Europe trip. I’d do the pilgrimage here if I was staying on the other side of the city.
R.
Impeccable service with fantastic tasting food! Small restaurant with great character.

Very tasty and varied food. Good service, and tables outside (with heaters too). Paneer is delicious
D. S.
The service was second to none, beautifully cooked lamb rogan. Mizan, Ali and the team were a lot of fun!
A. W.
I am so fortunate to have the Rajdoot as my local Indian restaurant. Have dined in once, but have done takeaways many times. The onion bhajis are crisp and tasty, while the chicken biriyani was fragrant.
The service is excellent! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back again.
J. F.
Probably the best Indian Restaurant in London, lovely service and our friend Hussain will greet you with a great smile. I would highly recommend it. You can order from home as well in Deliveroo website!!!
r. m.
Staff was helpful and good. Food was decent eventhough never had a sweet dal makhani in my life they insist it is due to local they need to make it sweet. Rest ambience was Indian to he more specific its bengali
A. A. L.
This was my first time eating Indian, I have always being sceptic because of the spices.
Well this was not the case at all. Indeed the waiters asked me and checked if the food ordered was okay for me.
As well the service was on point and kind.
The atmosphere is cozy and very nice if you are going out with your partner.
Also they staff is extremely friendly ❤️
a. p.
the papadom was fantastic. the rajdoot special was just ok. the staff was friendly, except we were told that we ordered only enough for 1 person. not wise to make assumptions about people's portion. we were stuffed at the end!
also, we tried 2 dish that were very similar. would have appreciated warning from waiter about that.
A. G. B.
Great, classic curry house. Expect all the favourites, great service and delicious, fresh food (see the menu in photos) at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this place. Try the Mr Naga dish if you like it (very) hot.
A. S.
Best Indian food in London; they never disappoint. This is a family business where the food is always cooked to perfection and the customer service is incredible. Today we were served by Ali and we felt so welcome after months of lockdown. As always, everything was delicious.
R.
Can’t fault this place, fantastic service, delicious food, fraught beer and cosy atmosphere. Loved it. Reasonably priced too.

I first discovered this restaurant on my way back from a now regular twice monthly meeting round the corner. I love my curry and it was a cold evening, so decided, I’m going in after one of the staff standing outside invited me in! I was served quickly, very attentively and tried one of their lamb curries after saying what kind of dish I usually like. It was delicious, full of flavour, staff are cool and it’s not very expensive for the amount of food you get! I enjoyed my first meal so much, I’ve been coming back pretty much every two weeks and trying a different dish! All of them have honestly been absolutely delicious and the lamb each time has been incredibly tasty!! The staff are cool and I enjoy chatting to them! No complaints from a regular, newly loyal customer. Keep up the super cooking guys and see you soon! 🙌
R. M.
We had a fantastic meal, great friendly service and a lovely atmosphere

Even though it might look small, it had plenty of more to offer. I, my mum, my brother, and my girlfriend went to this restaurant. We actually had plans for something else because we we're very exhausted, but a review made me make them go there.
It was worth every step. The waiters were welcoming us with pride and joy. They smiled with their eyes and were very professional, honest and charming.
The service was also very good, we got our food quick and also if you had any allergies their chefs easily could change the ingredients in the meal.
The food was the greatest Indian food WE'VE ever had. The menu was big and we couldn't decide but the waiters had really great recommendations to offer.
Genuine Indian food worth every penny.
If you're traveling to London, alone or with anyone, please, visit The Rajdoot. It really needs to stay here forever. (Since 1964)

Lamb Gulapi is wonderful! Service is top notch. Beer is fresh and good. Nice place. 5 star very much deserved.
M. L.
Had a lovely mix of lamb chops and the chef special sizzling veggies on hot plates. Highly recommend service with a smile, Ali our waiter was sweet and the rest of the team at Rajdoot too! You'll enjoy it...really!
F. G.
A great place to eat out in Marylebone. Super friendly staff, Ali did a great job tonight!
The food quality is great and price very reasonable. We used to go very often when we were living nearby, and glad to say that after all these years and after the crazy last few months, Rajdoot still is as good and welcoming as ever!
Z. H.
This place is amazing. The staff were super nice, attentive and friendly! The restaurant was very clean and screens were in place to seperate the tables, it felt very safe. The food is amazing and authentic, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food and great service. Will definitely be back :)
D.
My boyfriend always meets with his friend here and raves about the food. Tried it last night and it was absolutely delicious! We live local and this is by far the best curry. Would highly recommend, they have takeaway too.
M. J.
Amazing and delicious meals, with the nicest staff. We really enjoyed the Cobra beer as well!
S. S.
There are a great number of choices for Indian food in London but generally the reviews favor those with posh settings and fusion menus. But this small restaurant offers pure and simply very tasty flavorful Indian food in a nice atmosphere. Service is lovely. The Rajasthani paneer, a chef special, was outstanding and the saffron rice was fluffy and spiced perfectly. Glad I found it ranked high on a list! Will be back.
J. C.
Very delicious... so far the best.indian cuisine I have ever had in London.
A. T.
We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience here. The staff invited myself my husband and my two rambunctious kids inside, seated us at a suitable table, and proceeded to sit down dish after mouthwatering dish. The delicious food, the indulgent, kind manner our waiter Sha (and indeed every member of staff) showed toward us, made for a relaxing, wonderful evening. Highly recommended.
A. H.
The Rajdoot has the most incredible menu and their chef is so phenomenally skilled.
My family and I went for dinner on the recommendation from a close friend and have all agreed this is one of the most delicious meals we have ever had.
The tandoori chicken biryani will change your life for the better and the chef special lamb curry is so complex and flavorful.
Ali (our host) was so helpful in aiding our dining experience, providing thoughtful recommendations and excellent service!
A. C. G.
A couple of friends and I went here for hour Thursday curry night last week. We chose it without thinking too much and must say was a great decision. The restaurant is small, with a nice old look from few decades ago, giving it a nice atmosphere. The service was outstanding, attention to detail, friendly and funny. Food stood up to the same levels; tasty, not greasy and good size portions. I wasn't expecting to write a review, hence no pictures, but after the exeptional meal I was left with no choice!
J. M.
Loved the food here and the gentlemen who work here. Great atmosphere and staff are very helpful. Sha was a very helpful waiter and there was another one who was really great with us but unfortunately did not get the name. Will definitely come back and eat again. The seafood was magnificent! The only thing I would advise is to not sit upstairs as it can get quite cold with the door opening up quite often. Other than that, absolutely perfect! Rumen and Ali are wonderful waiters as well.

Abdul was great... Ive eaten many saags and this was top notch- tender meat + good heat. Fresh. Price is reasonable for London

This was the best Indian food I’ve had in my life. Absolutely blew me away.
My server, Ali, gave me tremendous recommendations that ended up being exactly what I wanted.
I started with a Cobra pint and the Prawn Puri on his recommendation. Medium spiced and packed with flavor.
And followed up with my main, Bahari Lamb, which he increased the spice to the perfect level.
It was fantastic and I highly recommend dining at Rajdoot. Best Indian I’ve ever had.
h. l.
This restaurant was so delicious we went back twice in the two days we spent in London (we are both vegetarians, so finding dependably good vegetarian food is easiest at an Indian restaurant). The service was awesome and friendly, the curries are all made to order so you can ask for specific augmentations, and the mango lassi was so subtle and delicious (no food coloring or extra sugar). I would definitely come back here the next time I visit London.
R. B.
brilliant food!! great service from Ali, cheers!!
J. S.
Upon arriving, my partner and I were promptly sat and served. All staff were very welcoming and endearing. The service was undoubtedly top notch.
The food was also incredible. Neither my partner nor I have any doubt that the curries we had were some of the best we've ever had. The staff were even able to reccomend dishes to us and alter our dishes to our liking.
The atmosphere was lovely and very friendly and the prices were very reasonable, especially when considering the quality of the food we received.
I would recommend Rajdoot without any hesitation.
김.
Nice food, Ali gave me good Service! I recommend this place!
F. A.
Delicious Vegetable Biriani, made a little spicier as requested. Huge portion for take out, had leftovers the next day. They even chucked in a few poppadoms free of charge. For central London very good value. Recommended.
P. K.
The best Indian food I have ever had! The Tandoori Chicken Biryani was incredibly balanced — the most tender chicken nestled in perfectly spiced rice. The chef’s special lamb was not to be missed and the naan was perfect and piping hot. Ali provided top notch service and made the experience one that the entire family enjoyed. I can’t imagine visiting London without making a stop at The Rajdoot!
C.
Small place but friendly, attentive staff and great food! Ali is great and everyone was very accommodating; we wanted more spice in our dish and they gladly took it back to the kitchen and added more. Great variety of flavorful dishes.
J. T.
This place is great! We just got off our flight and craving Indian food but many of the places were closed. Luckily Rajdoot was open so we drove over and gave it a try. The food was great! We ordered a lamb dish that was very tasty. The service was great and very quick. We were very grateful that they kept the place open to accommodate us as well.
S. R.
Had my first post lockdown meal here and it was great. Sat outside with good heaters. Food was excellent. Particularly tasty Lamb Bhuna and Saag Paneer. Service was really friendly and quick. Appreciated the complimentary glass of Amaretto at the end. Will be back!!
a. y.
It is Indian restaurant that I like the most in London. I will recommend with confidence.
I had lunch with my family (2 adult, 2 child )several times. Lunch at this restaurant has many charm. For example, many dishes, large number of items, reasonable price, and of course tasty.
The buggy is hard to enter the restaurant, but the staff helped me out.
a. k.
The food here is always great. Service is fast and the staff are really nice, our waiter Ali was very attentive. It is also on a nice street with pleasant outdoor seating which is a plus!
K. G.
We found this place by coincidence and were surprised by very friendly owners and employees. The dishes are made freshly to order and can be adjusted for spiciness. Everything was delicious. Come here for good and authentic Indian Food and friendly service but don’t have too high expectations on the interior - larger groups can sit in the basement.
C. P.
Great little restaurant with a good selection of North Indian/Bangladeshi food. Some good specials. A shame that the chicken chat is served on its own with no chapati, But it was still very tasty. Rates as one of my favourite London curry houses
L.
We were looking for an authentic, non-stuffy place to get some good Indian food and we were not disappointed! We ordered the chutney to start, garlic naan and a couple of the chef’s specials. Our meal was insanely delicious and the service was very attentive. We loved the personal feel of it and will definitely return!
L. b.
The most authentic India restaurant you can find in central London by far!
The complexity of spice yet the subtle balance of fresh spice , consistency and very well priced . All dishes are very authentic . Service is impaccable. Family run for many years and you can sense the hospitality as soon as walking in.
Would really recommend for any occasion !
M. P.
Very welcoming place and great service (shout-out to Abdul). We had lamb and butter chicken - both great choices!
M. D.
Professional, caring service, especially Mizay who was very nice to us. The food was much but extremely delicious. The wine also was very satisfying. I loved the atmosphere and aesthetic of the reastaurant. Would love to come again!
N. K.
Good food and décor is amazing downstairs. However only downside to the experience was that it was cold outside and we requested to sit downstairs and were told by the waiter that we cannot. We were sat by the door which kept opening and cold kept coming in. When asked to move again, he again said no but credit to another member of the team who allowed us to move downstairs where it was warmer.
H. S.
One of the best Indian Restaurants I've been too! Gorgeous tastes, brilliant staff, superb atmosphere, lunchtime and evening. We loved it! Thanks all involved!
B. M.
Happened to pass this amazing gem of a restaurant by chance. My god the food was absolutely amazing with a real taste of India! The staff provided exceptional customer service that I have never experienced before! the atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. I will definitely be back to visit this amazing place. I will recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.
L. Y.
So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. The smell of the food when we walked in made out mouths water. The service was wonderful, the staff are very nice. We really enjoyed our food. We got joypuri which was perfectly spiced, and some vegetable side dishes which tasted lovely. We will have to return on our next trip to London
N. H.
Amazing food, wonderful staff. The menu is large and a little daunting but you can't go wrong with anything you pick. Most authentic Indian cuisine we have had. A must visit when in London!!
P. E.
Service was initially very attentive but was very much dependant on the server. The atmosphere was OK, incense burning early on but the importance of the atmosphere seemed to fade as the evening progressed. Toilets could be improved. Food was good although the paratha bread was sub par. Certainly not 5* but OK for a decent curry, takeaway perhaps a better option.
F. N.
The food and service was fantastic. My family and I had several questions on the menu, and our wait staff happily walked us through. My mom forgot her shopping bag when leaving and the gentleman host caught us outside the door and delivered it. True class and service. 5/5 will hit again next time in London. Cheers
H.
Best Indian food I’ve ever had hands down. Staff is super friendly!
A. K.
The Rajdoot is one of the best restaurants I've been to in London. I enjoyed an amazing meal with my friends, the food was excellent and adjusted perfectly to my taste by the excellent and attentive staff, who delivered great customer service. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for something different to the normal Indian restaurants, it is truly a great experience and I'll definitely be coming here again.
A. N.
Delicious food we have it every Fridays, great stuff and very friendly Abdul is very helpful. So glad to have you as our neighbour Radjoot :)
K. S.
Visited The Rajdoot on a Thursday evening with our two children (11 and 6). It's a very small place with most of the seating underground, so you shouldn't come here for the views. This place is worth at least 4 stars for it's excellent cooking (our children had never before tried Indian food, but loved their Chicken Tikka and medium hot Curry) and the fantastic hosts. The owner (probably) and his team were incredibly friendly and helpful, explaining everything, chatting about our stay, and overall just making us feel very welcome! All the best for them, hope they can continue their family's success story (the place has been there for 50 something years).
N.
Amazing service and great lovely food, huge thanks for Hussain for serving lovely food for us and great accommodation. We are very grateful for your service.
T. B.
Great food, even better service. We were in London for a week. It was good enough to go back a second time. We do not get a chance to eat Indian food often, so the staff was very helpful when ordering.

Awesome experience at Rajdoot hotel
A must visit for Indians who want to have the taste of India in London. We ( a family of four; two kids) visited there accidentally as were passing by this hotel in search of any good Indian restaurant n suddenly a very good fragrance of food made us to spot this hotel...
I will rate them 15 out of 10 for their hospitality..
They served us by heart , played the music of our choice n gave candies after the meal twice to us as kids liked them very much.
Will highly recommend
E. S.
Pretty pricey but the food was good. I got the butter chicken with naan bread.
F. G.
Great food, lovely bhajees, lamb soft and tasty, great service. Not so keen on downstairs room sat by lift, felt claustrophobic and staff too close. But as I say great food, would def come again if sat upstairs.
M. R.
Impeccable service, brilliant food, I’d recommend the tikka masala
S. N. P.
Had it not been for the great food, and the owner finally coming down to provide good service, I would have had a negative review for this restaurant because of the younger brothers who waited on us. The first brother or waiter could not be bothered and was often in the corner on his cell phone. The next brother did a better job than the first, but very impersonal. Finally owner arrived and did a fantastic job. Thank goodness because the food was phenomenal. We were visiting from outside of the country. You only get one first impression.
A. k.
The food was really tasty and worth the price.
The service is also very efficient and the staff, specially @Ruhel was very polite and helpful with suggesting the food.
Overall a good place for Indians looking for some local taste.
K. A.
Great place to eat especially the décor downstairs. Would highly recommend. Only down side was we asked for a time between starters and main course and when the main course came out, the butter chicken was slightly cold however I would highly recommend people to eat here, really friendly staff.
S. S.
Great food, and customer service. Thank you for you patience with one of our "craziness "

Brilliant food. Brilliant service. Best curry in Central London. Ask after Abdul!

Always a pleasure to visit Rajdoot, one of the very few restaurants in London which are worth going to as often as possible. By this I'm not trying to discredit the many amazing restaurants this city can offer, but let's face it. Some of them have great, but super-expensive food, some of them are worth the experience once, maybe for the fancy interiors or the cool-looking food (which usually looks better than it tastes), some of them offer just bland food and you wonder why they're so famous. But very few places in London offer a mix of AMAZING food, FRIENDLY environment and CARING personnel like Rajdoot. It's always a pleasure to eat their incredible curries (I have a thing for their Lamb Saag, but I swear all the dishes I've tried so fare have been equally mouth-watering) and have a chat with my friend Rumen. It honestly feel like going to a generous friend's house, the type of friend who cares about manners and decor, but also wants to give you his best food. It's no coincidence locals (including many smart 'celebrities') love this place. There are two Rajdoot owned by the same family, both superb. This one is the 'historic' one, which has been around since 1964. What makes this one a little different from the other is its tiny space, which I personally love because it makes it more like a big dining room, where you always end up chatting to the neighboor. If you want to feel the real London, interact with real locals and eat incredible food, then look no further!

Great quality food. Staff excellent and attentive. Very busy take out service too but not impacting at all on our experience... Clearly loved by locals 👍

Popped in here one lunchtime having heard about their legendary King Prawn dishes. We were not disappointed! I had the King Prawn Bhuna and my partner had the King Prawn Nobabi, from the selection of Chef's Special dishes. Both were absolutely delicious, with tender King Prawn (Indian restaurant King Prawn is actually fresh water prawn, being larger and more succulent, with an almost lobster-like texture and flavour - FAR superior to the completely tasteless, salt water variety that you get in supermarket "King Prawn" curry ready meals) and real depth of flavour in the bhuna sauce. My partner's meal was outstanding too. You could tell that the chef really knew his trade and understood how to blend spices so as to produce a really authentic dish - so different from the standard, run-of-the-mill curry house so often encountered these days. We also chose a Saag bhaji and a Brinjal bhaji which were also extremely tasty and perfectly complemented the main courses. Service was very good and we also enjoyed chatting to Hussain, one of the partners of the restaurant, who was most friendly and explained how the business had been in existence on those same premises for more than 4 decades. He was also kind enough to offer us a complimentary post prandial drink. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a really well-prepared, "traditional" style curry for its wide choice of dishes, helpful and excellent service. Looking forward to returning soon.

A friendly family run Indian restaurant in Marylebone. It's my first choice for a casual curry in the area, you feel like you're on holiday. The food is always great and the staff are welcoming and helpful.
L. T.
My first time trying this restaurant and it was very tasty. The lamb biryani was a favourite amongst me and my friends and we also ordered the butter chicken, mixed starter, vegetable curry and naan. The staff were friendly and polite and were always willing to make our experience exceptional and pleasant. Central location to lots of london landmarks and fantastic food that I would highly recommend to anyone. I will be visiting again.
R. J.
It's so good that I've been twice in less than a week! The first time my partner and I were looking for late night food and we were pleased when our call was answered and we were able to place our order even though it was almost midnight. The second time around we dined in and were won over by the excellent service and hospitality shown by Rumen. Excellent food and service!

If you're looking for amazing Indian food look no further. Found this place when I searched, "best Indian food in London" and Rajdoot did not disappoint. Our server suggested a couple dishes and they were both fabulous. We will be back next time we are in town for sure.
D.
I have no idea why this place has so many good reviews and 4.4 stars! Its average very westernised Indian food.
The pickle tray was all from cash and carry standard sauces and the curries where average. Mixed grill was goodish.
I won't be returning.
C. H.
Amazing!! The food was great, the staff was attentive without being overbearing. It's a small restaurant, with an upstairs and downstairs, I'd recommend booking a table, it looked like it would get busy on a weekend night. When we make it back to London I would visit again
G. G.
Great curry house. Good food the meat tasted very fresh. Resonably priced and the service was good. Will be revisiting.
They don't hold back on the spicy dishes so choose wisely if you're not used to hot stuff!
A. K.
This unassuming restaurant is extremely friendly with excellent service and truly superb classic Indian dishes plus others that we were not familiar with.we had a takeaway a after couple of days after our visit to the restaurant which equally very good.we will certainly go back next time we are in the area.

The area off Marylebone High Street is full of gastronomic delights, but most of then are upscale and expensive, so when you find a nice restaurant with reasonable prices, especially on Sunday evening, when many other places close early, it's a joy. At Rajdoot the staff is hospitable in Indian manner and even the setting can remind you of many Indian joints, simple and unassuming. We had three mains, one vegetarian, all three were cooked to order, some served on sizzling pans, spiced in different ways and having distinctive flavours, the side dish of dahl makhani was delicious as well. Definitely a place to come back!
L. A.
The best Indian restaurant in town! Have been going there for the last 5 years and still remains the greatest indian food! Was there last night and they have already put in place all the right measures for us to feel safe after Covid 19. Thank you Radjoot for looking after us so well. Rika A
J. E. K.
Rajdoot is my favourite Indian restaurant in London. Excellent service by Abdul, and delicious food as always.
F. K.
Great food and fantastic service! Specially Masala Biriyani.
T. K.
After 5 days in London for our honeymoon and eating at a variety of high and medium end restaurants, I can say this was our favorite. The place is family owned and very welcoming. The food was high quality and affordable. Will be returning each time I am in London.
m. w.
I was very happy to see the most competent waiter after quite a while. Mr Ali who always gives excellent service and is the main staff member with a good command of English. I have heard that Mr Ali is also a supervisor in Sainsbury’s but o really hope he continues to work at The Rajdoot because you will lose your only asset in your staff. Please make sure you dont let him go.
L. M.
The Rajdoot is EXCELLENT Indian food in Marylebone. Amazing food and even better staff! These guys are the best-- always super friendly (great service from Ali) and accommodating- neighborhood favorite for sure! Try the Tandoori chicken!

Stopped by for lunch on a nice day in London. Wait staff was excellent and the food lived up to the hype. Some of the best chicken tikka masala I’ve had in a while. The garlic naan was very good too. I’ll be back!
A.
I personally always love going for dinner at The Rajdoot restaurant. The food is STUNNING! And I always have such great service from Ali. It’s definitely one of my favourites.
G. W.
Great food and service. One of the best curries I've eaten and I'll be back as soon as possible to try some more of the menu. A bit pricey but not too bad considering the central location and worth every penny.
M. G.
I periodically pop in for a quick and nutritious vegetarian lunch when I am in the area. Upstairs it's a cosy restaurant, and I feel comfortable as a female on my own. Downstairs is larger. Excellent value, very tasty food and fast but polite service. Recommended.
M. R.
It's been a while since we were there, but we quite enjoyed this restaurant. Delicious food, and the service was good. We were made to feel very welcome.

The best meal of our 3 week trip in the UK! The food was excellent, the staff were so friendly and kind (even brought my son some sliced cucumbers free of charge when he told them that naan bread, tikka masala sauce, and cucumbers is his favorite meal), and the price was very reasonable. Wish we had found this place on our first day, so we could have eaten there more than once!
A. H.
WoW, we have very much enjoyed the lamb and the chicken curry. Never had one better. Super friendly staff. Great family owned Indian restaurant. Oh and forgot lovely white wine and big glasses of good beer or limonades.

I have just had the most lovely Indian meal with my partner at Rajdoot in Marylebone. Coming from Scotland - with the curry capital of the UK Glasgow - it’s often disappointing popping into Indian restaurants in London. Delicious chicken tikka, suppulent naan and a kind drink on the house for each of us afterwards (amaretto)! Thank you Ali .
F. H.
You can easily order the most spicy dish no problem even for European peeps. Very good would recommend (if you take the spicy ones)
L. I.
We loved the Rajdoot! We finally went there, and even the simplest dishes were very tasty. The staff were super friendly and we had a great time. It's a great alternative to the other restaurants available in that area.

This is the first time we are tried this place.A few friends had visited before and they recommended this place to us. Every dish is
freshly cooked according to individual choices . Very friendly staff and lovely food. We had an office party for group of 30 people. We arranged set meal before (papadam, stater, main course, vegetable, rice and naan bread enough for everyone. )everything ran smoothly . Our host Rumen dealt with everything very efficiently
All our collegues enjoyed their meal and the pleasent service we received.
will surely be back again. Highly recommend.

I had the lamb Gulapi, which was truly living up to the standards of good Indian cuisine. It doesn’t come with anything on the side, so recommend to get it with rice, some tzatsiki/yoghurt and garlic bread on the side. From here on, enjoy!!!
A. B.
Third time here. New resident to London and this is the first place I bring guests. My mother said this is the best curry she’s had. 10/10 recommendation

My favorite restaurant in London. I moved to New York recently and the one thing i miss the most in The Rajdoot. Every dish (especially the Prawn Dansak) is incredible. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
S. J. D.
This is a cozy London curry house. I came here with my Indian companion, and though we are both used to strong Indian curries, we really liked the food here. We ordered the baingan bhaja and balti chicken tikka masala with plain basmati rice and naan on the side. We ordered the viands at the default "medium spicy" level which turned out to not have much heat at all. In retrospect we could have gone for a higher level of heat, but we didn't really mind because the food was still very flavorfulfull of the flavor spices instead of heat spices. Since the heat level (i.e. what most Westerners call "spice level") is so mild, I can see that this would be a safe option for Westerners curious about trying curries but a little wary of the burning sensation in the mouth. Also, service was top-notch; we felt very attended to and well taken care of by the very polite staff. The nice young waiter laid our napkins out for us and answered our questions about the menu. I would come back here next time I'm in London.
C. V.
This is the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Hussain is an excellent server and made it such a great experience for my family and I! I would highly recommend everyone give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

We visited here while vacationing in London and it was fantastic. The curries were delicious, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive and the location is charming. I'd recommend it to anyone.
D. M.
Ordered on deliveroo a few times. Food is alright, nothing too fancy (although naan is actually quite good). As far as drinks go - why on earth do you pour a drink into a tray? How am I supposed to drink out of a tray? Also mango lassi tastes just like the one you get from sainsbury's for 1/3 of the price. Coincidence?
S. B.
I loved it the food was scrumptious also the staff was extremely friendly the service was 100% perfect i highly recommend going to this restaurant👍 and was also freshly cooked .If you have any piference they can change it to medium ,mild or spicy. I loved it must visit.

A great little spot - the menu is fairly typical fair for a uk indian restaurant. But it is all hot fresh and delicious.
Theres only a couple of tables up stairs but theres more room downstairs. If you have a big party i would book ahead.
I had the dopiaza and sag aloo, both were very nice and well spiced.

Our new favourite Indian restaurant in London! Really convenient for people heading back into central London after visiting Wembley. Everything is delicious - my personal favourite is the Chicken Shashlik Bhuna. The Chilli Paneer starter is also a wonder to behold and my wife's personal choice. Really friendly staff make you feel at home. To avoid disappointment I'd recommend you check and book in advance if going at a popular time as it has a fairly small number of tables. That's easy enough to do via Open Table though!
A. M.
I was recently in London celebrating my 10 year anniversary. We read reviews for Rajdoot and wanted to try it out. We were not disappointed. This was the best meal I had in London. We even went to that bougie restaurant Glos Maggiore. I would pick Rajdoot over that.
D. O.
