Reviews of The Water House Project

A curated locally sourced food extravaganza.
The menu was well balanced and had a variety of dishes.
Food and presentation was excellent.
The service was also very good.
Wasn’t a huge fan of the wine pairings not all went well with the dishes we felt.
Otherwise excellent

Absolutely stunning experience.
The whole feel of the restaurant is special. Amazing non-alcoholic options for the paired menu. The food is exquisite and packs a punch with flavour. Will definitely come back.

Our night at The Water House Project was magical. The room and the ambience was relaxed and comfortable. The open concept kitchen allowed us to view the preparation of the meal. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. And oh, the food. Each course had it own story. The flavors and tastes were exceptional and exploded in your mouth. The food just seemed to keep coming. 3 hours of gastronomic delight. Highly recommend.

A VERY interesting and unique comcept! Go for the non-alcoholic pairing even if you're a drinker.
The restaurant has pairings included, however unlike every other pairing we've tried, it completes and transforms the dish. We went for the non-alcoholic pairing after reading the menu, and it's 100% the best choice: they are often made with side products from the dish and are very complex and unique in their own right. The one downside is that on their own both the dishes and the drinks are odd and unbalanced, but together thet rival the best 2 and 3 Michelin plates out there.
The atmosphere is relaxed, airy, quite industrial looking. The service is exactly what it needs to be: attentive, pleasant, efficient. Instead of 5 servers and 100 pages of wines, they focus on nailing what really nakes a difference. The bread and butter course is lovely, although the desert was a bit unspiring.
I can only hope that this inspired pairing concept catches on and transforms the London...no, the global food scene

Really incredible. The food is amazing (and plentiful by the time you've got through all the courses). We went to Restaurant Gordon Ramsey recently and I'd say this is on a par.
The whole thing is an experience. The space is great. Busy and energetic but not too close to people. The staff (who are all lovely) prepare everything in full sight. It's a single sitting that lasts over three hours, so no one coming in and out, no one waiting for your table, you can just relax and enjoy it. It's a whole night out, not just a meal.

One of the most exceptional meal we've had! Every single dish tasted delicious and the combination of flavours was so interesting and surprising. We have had the Spring menu and the choice of dishes felt like a poetic journey from richer to fresher spring flavours. The venue was stunning as well decorated with exquisite taste and with an open plan kitchen. We really enjoyed watching the ballet of chefs preparing every dish so meticulously then taking the time to explain each dish and wine pairing to each table. All in all, I couldn't recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back some day. I would just add that I've had many average canelés in the UK, but the ones served at the Water House Project is as good as they get :-) Thank you to the whole team for a beautiful evening!

A nicely curated menu / experience by Chef Waterhouse. Whilst the menu was not entirely to my tastes I appreciated the thought and outcome. Very hospitable and worth the journey into East London.

The new spring menu was sublime. It is obvious that so much thought has gone into the crafting of each dish. It was a pleasure to be an integral part of this passion project and we thoroughly enjoyed this fine dining experience. We will be back...

Best take lockdown takeaway!
A true fine dining tasting menus in lockdown. It's surreal having world class food coming out of your own kitchen, but that's what the team have created!
Everything was well put together, with easy instructions and pictures to help you with plating. The wine pairing really stood out, for me.
Great value and a wave of nostalgia. Can't wait for my next trip.

Winter Menu final week supper club
Far more than merely 5 stars. From the moment you enter the place feels warm and welcoming. The size of tables and number of people is perfectly balanced for the venue. Watching the food made right in front of you becomes a treat. When it’s served what you are left with is a sumptuous delight for the senses, from smell to sight to taste. This is a place not just for recommending but an absolute must if you live anywhere in London. Make the journey. Make the trip. You will not be disappointed.

Got the WHP At Home hamper with ceramics and it was spectacular. Every dish was a delight and it was an incredibly fun evening in. We had a mini competition to see who could plate their food more impressively.
Strongly recommend it to anyone.

No review on Google could possible fairly describe the dinner we enjoyed - it was simply amazing and should be a must for everyone who enjoys fine dining.

What an experience! Well worth the money! Very different but great atmosphere! Food is cooked fresh whilst you're there, great tasting! And wines are paired perfectly too!

We had a private dinner for 20 on the 7th of June. Cannot recommend highly enough - the food was delicious and we had such a brilliant evening!

I never write reviews normally but felt compelled after an absolutely fantastic meal.
I've had a few meal kits over the last few months, this was undeniably the best. Everything was meticulously thought out and executed, i feel like i've stumbled upon a restaurant that is destined for greatness.
Genuinely a phenomenal experience from ordering onwards. We had a minor delay due to illness and had to reschedule and the staff could not have been nicer about it.
wish i had more stars to give.

Gabriel’s food is unique & absolutely sublime. WHP at home is a wonderful way to spend a lockdown evening. Delicious dishes easy to prepare & paired with perfectly matched wines. Menu changes every month which keeps the experience exciting & fresh. Can not recommend highly enough

I had a fantastic dining experience at WHP with 5 friends for a 30th birthday in September. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the evening was enhanced by having the owner and his team deliver a brief explanation of each course in the carefully curated menu. A really unique restaurant and would highly recommend for a special night out - I can’t wait to visit again!

Michilin standard food from a wizard, great guy with unmistakable passion who has created a unique, social dining experience. I love the honesty, humility, courage and heart in this food. 9 course tasting menu with incredibly paired wines is genuinely amazing value too. Would be a sin to miss this experience. Easily my favourite restaurant. Long may it prosper.

J. O.
It was absolutely amazing! The food, service, and ambience were all perfect!
Z. R.
Excellent food, got around 9 courses with 6 wines plus a cocktail to start
To be warned the tables are shared, so don't choose if you want an intimate experience, but I really enjoyed it
The chef explained all the meals before we had them, so it was also more of an experience rather than just a meal
R. F.
Amazing meal, atmosphere and service. Can’t wait to try the October menu.
