This was the first time I visited the wharf, I booked a dinner for 3 ( my husband’s birthday) it was a last minute impromptu plan based on a recommendation from a friend. The ambiance was lovely, food was top notch, more importantly the service was impeccable; Jovi who was our waiter was so attentive, he brought a little dessert saying happy birthday, which I thought was a great touch :) i would recommend The wharf - our experience was amazing!

The restaurant has prime real estate with an excellent view of the Thames. The service was good but nothing spectacular. I ordered the rib eye and it was overcooked. The seasoning of the meat could have been better. The portion size was acceptable.

Exceptional food, poor service. Waitress seemed to be annoyed with our arrival even though it was early and slow. Argued with us over menu items. She was slow to check in. We had to stand up to request another bottle of soda. Steak was superb. Would return to eat again but hopeful for a different server.

Lovely salads for a pre-theatre lunch. Attentive waitress ... only gripe ... we were left waiting to be seated for a couple of minutes because they assumed we were a large party of people who had just finished eating. Otherwise, we received good drinks recommendations and the staff were fun, professional and attentive.

Very nice atmosphere, very elegant restaurant , beyond any expectations. The place has a great position and panorama . The food is excellent and many very good wines are in the menu. Nice and friendly staff is providing an excellent service. The place is small and cosy but for a dinner with too many friends is not a good option.

We sat outside at this restaurant on the upper floor and had a view of the Thames and watched people go by. The staff are friendly, we ordered the mussels to start which we shared and then. The oven cook fish. This was lovely and the fish was meaty. If you don't mind bones then give this a a try

On my graduation I promised I’d try the riverside Fish and Chips. It’s exceeded my expectations. The first time I tried mushy peas, and I felt upset that all this what I missed out on. Anyways, I highly recommend to all the tourist, and residents. Tasty, well cooked and presentable. Overall, delicious.

We went there for a Sunday Roast with my partner and we both agree the experience was dissapointing. We waited for 30 minutes to be served food even though the place was empty. The food, although fresh, was bland, portions and condiments mediocre (no sauces, we got served 3 little potatoes each).I have never managed to eat a whole Sunday Roast let alone be hungry after. Service was poorly. When asked the waitress to top up the potatoes she never mentioned it was gonna be another 20 minutes wait, so when it arrived we have already finished our meals. After speaking to the manager we were offered a discount, which was nice considering this place is not the cheapest. The view is wonderful and definitely the biggest asset.

Was underwhelmed with this restaurant to be honest. There's certainly a nice view over the river, and location wise it's good - within easy walking distance to the South Bank complex for example, or Blackfriars Bridge in the other direction. And our waitress was pleasant and friendly. But although our soup was lovely, the main courses were pretty average. Strangely for a restaurant, there was a really long list of dishes that weren't available that day. And it wasn't a cheap eat. So not bad but not great.

My family and I had a lovely meal here last night. I had the Tuna salad. The tuna was a decent size and well cooked. Delicious! Not too pricey considering the location. Service was good and staff friendly. Would recommend.

One of my girlfriend's favorite restaurants in London and with great views of the Thames, especially from the first floor and the balcony in the summer! We ordered the fish of the day and the mussels and both were incredible. The waitress informed us that the order would take around 25 minutes because everything is cooked from fresh, but it was definitely worth the wait. Everything tasted great and was presented beautifully. The service was pretty good, not great hence the 4, and not 5 stars. We did have to ask for the bill twice afterall! It might sound silly, but it's the little that make it! Definitely recommend the mini desserts with coffee. Reasonably priced. We paid just under £70 for olives, 2 main courses, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine.

Situated right next to the river, this restaurant offers a lot, from the warm greeting to a wonderful Wednesday lunch that offers great value for money. The restaurant wasn't packed to the rafters, however the food was exquisite and very traditional in the same time. The menu offered a wide selection of mains and starters, wine and beer. The mussels in white wine were particularly delicious. My friends visiting London and being first time in this part of the city already wants to know when we can revisit next time! OH YES! And view on the river.

We had a wonderful lunch today. The food was excellent, the setting superb and the service was just so incredibly warm and friendly. It had been my birthday this week and I was made such a fuss of in a way that I’ve never experienced anywhere else. Our Latvian waiter in particular was so hospitable. Had dinner here with my boyfriend, great menu .. We had prawn starters, steak and chips, cocktails and then wine - was all fine! I was surprised to read in another review just a second ago that they thought prices are inflated, they're actually very reasonable for this location! The Spanish lady who served us was lovely and attentive, we had pudding and liqueur coffees. The Semi-Freddo was gorgeous. Lovely location and good wine list - with 250ml by the glass around £7. Gender-neutral toilets and not too noisy,

We called in on the off chance late yesterday evening in the hope of getting a table . We were greeted with a wonderful warm welcome and shown to a very pleasant table. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was excellent with good choice. The service was very good from all the staff and out waiter Anthony was very helpful and funny. All in all we had an excellent experience everything was fabulous including the price . Would definately recommend this restaurant

I've been here with a big group of people, we were loud and a bit annoying, but staff dealt with us amazingly!! So polite, always attentive and extremely friendly! I would recommend preorder if you are with a big group to avoid ordering one by one. Very very happy, definitely coming back!

The service was a little bit poor, the food took a lot to come , the starter which was just some mussels and crispy squid took more than an hour to come and it wasn't cooked well enough and the main which was a rib eye steak took a lot as well to be prepared for a medium rare but I would definitely recommend it if you go there because it was really good and tasty. After not such a great experience I would have to think about going again.

Great restaurant facing the Thames River. They have a good selection of beers, you get a regular selection of British/continental food, and the service is very friendly. This is the best choice in this area along the river, the atmosphere is excellent, not too noisy. They have a number of rooms including terraces outdoor, so it is a nice place to hang around for a simple meal and a cold beer.

My friend and I came here last weekend when the weather was incredibly nice and sunny. The only reason I am giving 4 * is because the service was awfully slow (however, my friend and I did get an apology and the waiter was quite friendly in the end!). Otherwise, the drinks we got (Pimms and Aperol Spritz) were excellent and reasonably priced, the view on the terrace is beautiful and the food others ordered looked delicious!

Very popular with tourists, but as a local I've been coming here regularly for years. Amazing location next to the Thames. The menu isn't extensive, but the food is good and the staff (some of whom have been here for ten years) are friendly and really efficient.

Went for a Sunday evening dinner. Most of the starters were off, beef and pork roasts were in short supply. We both opted for rib-eye steaks which were unevenly cooked; in need of being rested; with no frills fries and side salad. Wine and cheesecake deserts were fine; service is great and it's a nice spot on the riverside.

My experience was very mixed. Great location. We went on very busy and sunny friday evening.the restaurant was pretty full but since it is very big there was space Both inside and outside. I arrived we 2 other friends and we were welcomed by a very snob guy which seemed annoyed when we asked for a table outside. After waiting for about 10min We got the table, we ordered and the drinks and starters arrived promptly. During the evening we got served by at least 5 different people so it was a bit difficult to understand who to address. The wine is ok but they only have very generic choices. The menu is simple burgers, chips, salads, some fish dishes like fried calamari and mussels soup or smoked salmon board.The starters are good in size. I got disappointed with the mussels (huge portion) which were overcooked and dry I think they cooked them early and the other dishes were not ready so they left it wait too long... :( The fish And chips of my friend looked very good and I have seen very nice big salads on the table beside but I can comment on the taste. They were nice when we realised they ordered the main size instead of the starter size they offered to make us pay only for the starter.

Great spot for people watching, the terrace upstairs is nice on a sunny day. Chocolate fudge cake and a cuppa was just what we needed after a stroll along the river. High chairs provided but had to help myself and rearrange the furniture, no baby changing facilities. Waiter was not very friendly.

I was here over the bank holiday weekend and really wasn't that impressed at all. We were seated quickly and had a nice outdoor view over the Thames. Sadly, the Halloumi burger I ordered was really disappointing. The halloumi itself was barely warmed through and had no colour on it at all and there needed to me much more in an £11 burger. The other half had muscles and they were really small with a really oddly high amount of empty and broken shells. For dessert, we shared at chocolate Sunday that had pieces of the homemade fudge cake also on the menu. Wouldn't recommend that, it tasted like packet cake mix. Service was pretty poor and we felt like we were being deliberately ignored at times. All in all, sadly, I don't think I'll be visiting again.

Relatively inexpensive and not too hard to get a decent seat. Obvs you'll need to book if its sunny/peak hours.

I should like Gabriel's Wharf far more than I do. It has a wonderful location, it's never too busy and there are a varied collection of shops. But it's just a bit 'meh'. The shops don't seem to have much substance and the restaurants just don't appeal. It also doesn't seem to have altered much in the last decade. I think it aims to be Southbank's (miniature) answer to Camden Market, but it lacks atmosphere. This is a real shame as it has a great deal of potential; a bohemian square away from the bustle of Southbank would be fantastic.

Decorado en diciembre con motivos navideños, es un lugar con encanto. El trato es amable y cordial y el precio bastante asequible, teniendo en cuenta el sitio y la calidad de la comida.
