Visited thunderbird chicken on their grand opening at wimbledon 🔥🍗🐔 Order: - Chicken burger (thunderbun) was very nice, tender, juicy, and crispy at the same time. - Chipuffalo wings, very nice flavor and spicy 🔥💪, unfortunately they forgot the blue cheese dip 😱 - Cheese & bacon thunderwrap, surprisingly, had nice flavor with a juicy chicken and nice sauce, I didn't taste bacon at all unfortunately 😢 - Meltdown fries tots for the side, the sauce was nice but the fries were bland 😞. Here, I was expecting something very good, but I didn't get it. Overall, it was good, better than I expected but not something stunning!

I’ve been to this store several times and have loved my experiences! The staff are lovely and friendly, and are very quick to resolve any issues or queries that may arise. The food is absolutely delicious and leaves you wanting more! (I’m yet to try the chicken strips but I’ve heard great things about them). The fact that the meat is halal and there’s a vegan meal, allows options for everyone ☺️ Contrary to some other reviews, I personally found the service to be fast and I got my food very quickly, to my delight. The workers were all professional and seemed to be well trained. The first time I ever visited was during the first week they opened, and the service then was understandingly slower as the store had just opened and the workers were all new. Since then things have improved significantly and it is evident that they are a company who take customer feedback seriously to improve their service. I would definitely recommend this place if you like great food and good vibes (I love the music selection). 10/10

I was highly impressed with the quality of food. Wings were the best! The staff where really friendly and helpful. I will return but as mentioned in previously reviews the floor is very greasy. Guys please use some boiling water and detergent and that will solve the problem. All in all a good experience…

Amazing experience and the chicken was very crispy, had the stirps for the very first time. Will definitely go again and probably will try the meltdown. Service was also very good.Big thumbs up.

Great wings! Especially the salted caramel ones, pricey though, fast service, slippery floors, narrow seating arrangement. Slipper steps! If you want to enjoy the wings eat them immediately, by the time you get home they might be less fresh. But if you can dont eat them inside the restaurant, its constantly busy and the customers that are already inside always tend to stay a long while.

Sauces are to thin and runny and theres a load of staff but service is very slow. Probably need a better leader and manager because you could have half the staff and work faster. Chicken was nice but with a few tweaks this could be a great place.

Our first time and we weren't sure what to order basically it doesn't matter because everything is delicious. We had a Thunder bun and a vegan bbq burger with tatter tots and garlic butter fries plus a couple of soft drinks. It already smelt fantastic before we ordered, the service was speedy but polite and friendly, definitely coming back as the garlic butter fries are fabulous.

The drop of one star is because of how much hated the salted caramel wings. I know I brought it on myself by ordering salted caramel wings, but I couldn't not order them, what if they were amazing?! They were not amazing. Imagine licking an old used BBQ then eating honey covered chicken and you've nailed the experience. I also had some chicken strips and fries which were pretty good. Overall everything was well cooked (even the truly horrible wings) and the service staff were friendly and helpful. I will probably go back as the chicken was really nice, though I daresay I will choose something else next time...

Only found out last week Wimbledon had a Thunderbird store. Used to enjoy the Charring Cross branch when I worked on the Strand so was pretty excited. Food was good as expected, would say there's not very much seasoning on the strips, however they feel very fresh and not very greasy. Staff seemed quite pleasant and helpful.

Food is nice, second visit today but the service isnt great like others have said Lady serving and another staff member messing around with the AirPods they are wearing whilst serving on the till - switching them in and out of the boxes This is the second staff member serving with AirPods in in both visits. So Thunderbird has finally opened, i live just down the road and was keen to try. First impressions was the restaurant is dirty, been open a week and the floor, tables and chairs were filthy with food and crumbs. I went for the lunchtime deal, 3 strips, chips, dip and drink for £5.95. Great value otherwise the main menu i would say is expensive for what you get. Long wait for my meal, about 15 minutes and there was hardly anyone in there. The food was freshly cooked, nice chicken, generous chips and a nice hot chipotle dip! Wasnt told i had to get my own drink and couldnt even find them until i looked round a hidden corner, a bit confusing. Otherwise average experience. At least i didnt see fighting staff as others have reported. ***UPDATE**** Emailed the owner as requested below a week ago and no response!

Really good service. When I went first time I had a tall blonde girl serve me she was really polite and friendly made sure I felt welcomed which I didn’t expect after visiting the Clapham branch. Looked for her again but couldn’t see her when I went in today but the service was once again immaculate. A very new branch I enjoy it far more than the Clapham branch and the arcade machine inside is great fun with all the old pac mans and asteroid I am embarrassed to admit I did hog the machine because I couldn’t believe I was able to play an old arcade machine for free and enjoy some of the old games. Really great place I would recommend the meltdown burger I think it was called.
