Reviews of Tower Tandoori Restaurant

Food was amazing. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Although there was a limited menu, we were told that the chef could make other things if wanted something off the menu
y. g.
I have been going to this restaurant on and off for 20 years. It is better than ever.
Food excellent. Service attentive but also discreet. Decors simple and elegant.
Highly recommended.

I Visited this restaurant with my family on the weekend and I must say they were very busy but a nice atmosphere, they have recently renovated with a new bar coming soon.
The food is very delicious, my new favourite dish is the king prawn Meen Moilee.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Definitely visit if you are in the area
F. M.
This place was really nice, with very good service and friendly staff
All of the food was very nice and had lots of flavour.
The poppadoms come with 4 different dipping sauces, very, very tasty.
They have a limited menu, but will be happy to cater for your needs. I ordered a prawn dish that was not kn the menu, it was amazing.

Super kind, some of the best indian food i’ve had
M. V.
Tasty currys and a traditional environment, perfect for a weekend meal. I’ve tried a few of things on the menu so far and I always feel happy with the quality. Recommended!
S. B.
The best food-small menu to encourage you to try something new but chefs will happily make dishes that are not listed, including all the classics. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
P. M.
Really friendly staff, absolutely yummy food
J. E.
Reasonably priced curryhouse, but with a limited menu and missing some of the classics. The restaurant was a bit dated but the staff were friendly enough.
Curry was mediocre but the sides saved it!
B.
Only used for takeaway. I live in Peckham and have probably tired at least 10 Indian restaurants for delivery and this one is the best one I’ve tried in there area. Very delicious chicken dishes - succulent and fresh tasting.
V. R. P.
Great Indian restaurant serving fine Indian cuisine. Situated close to Tower Bridge, a great place to grab lunch. Friendly staff and quick n nice service. Selection of food n drinks. Reasonably priced for quality. Choice of quantity which can be shared if necessary. Indoor seating and clean toilets available. Bus connections available.

It's my first time to eat here because my friend bring us here and I am a big fan of Indian foods. And you need to visit this place because the foods are so delicious come pup up on this restaurant and you will love the foods here it's so delicious. I rate them five stars because in my own opinion the foods are really fantastics worth what we payed for. Job well done to the owner and to all the crew of this restaurant. Keep it up and would love to go back and eat again very very soon. One of the best Indian restaurant that I've been so far.

I now know why these guys are so highly rated. Their food is good as expected but what makes the difference is their hospitality, they really go over and above to make you comfortable and check if everything is fine every minute. There was this young guy which I think maybe from owner family, he took a round of dining area around 5-6 times making sure all is good.
After a long long time I have been to a hotel where they value customer service so much. The whole staff had this excellent attitude.
Keep rocking guys 👍

Great food! Great service, Dipayan is very nice! We really enjoyed the food and came twice during our stay!
J. D.
Great taste. The taste reminded me of my trip to India. Can recommend Chana Masala and the delicious samosa!
R. K.
Great food!! My spicy lamb special from chef was on point. Very tender, the meat literally fell off the bone and it wasn't overcooked. All my friends loved this place. The ambiance is cozy with relaxing music in backround. Good selection of wines and beer. Special thanks to our server Ahmed who constantly made sure that we had everything we need. We also got a complimentary desert which was delicious. It was an ice cream inside the orange which was cool. I will definitely recommend this place!

We had a meal here with old friends. All four of us had sampled a large range of meals in many Indian restaurants and we found our experience at the Tower Tandoori to be one of the very best. What is a big plus here is that your chosen dish can be adjusted to whether you like it mild, medium or hot.
There is a wide range of choice on the menu and the prices are very reasonable.
Staff are very friendly and willing to help you.
We fully intend to back there again soon.
M. A. K.
Lovely indian restaurant near Tower Bridge.
Visited with my wife and kids and must say the food was delicious.
Very freindly waiting staff and nice atmosphere.
Definetely recommend this restaurant to family and friends..
F. K.
The staff was kind and friendly. It's lovely little restaurant. Nice deco. The food was nice. The seekh kebab in the mix grill was over cooked.

This will my first review but I really had to. I was so I was absolutely stunned 🤩 This restaurant I found on Google maps. I wanted to go to the restaurant because I was looking for something good for a great price and good reviews and then I found this one. My friend (Which is a stewardess and cast all over the world with Emirates) she knews about a lots of Indian restaurants but she was so excited like me. We were came expecially to the restaurant over the city London and then we were so surprised. Absolutely AMAZING!!!!! From the beginning of this restaurant to our departure everything went absolutely amazing.Served us I think five men. We always had full glass and always asked us if everything was fine. They were all smiling and friendly. The environment was very representative, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. We left completely satisfied. We spent a pleasant time there, ate well and met new friends. It's an honor to write this review. I will ve back again.
C. B.
Nice place this. Food came out full of flavour and piping hot. Service was really good and attentive. Cocktail was ridiculously strong and small for the money.
J. S.
Stopped in for lunch because it was near where we are staying and it had good reviews. My uncle also wanted a vegetarian option which can be hard to find. We had the place to ourselves which was amazing considering how good the food is. Maybe everyone does take out for lunch. We tried several dishes, all were excellent and the waiter who served us was awesome-I think his name is Amit. If you are in the area and looking for good Indian at a fair price, check this place out.
J. H.
Great food . Naan bread were small for £3 but meal portions were good and service too . Will visit again if in the area
A. R.
The decor is charming and tasteful, and the staff seem to genuinely care but the cuisine is adopted very much for the British palate rather than authentic Indian food. Prices are reasonable, but I'm unlikely to return.
S. P.
We found the food taste as average but different people have different food tastes so one should experience it once at least.
M. A. R.
Visited this indian restaurant with my wife and two kids on tuesday night. We chose this restaurant based on its very good reviews in SE1 and we was impressed. We stayed at a hotel 10 mins away from Tower Bridge and easily walked to the restaurant.
The food was amazing, delicious and authentic . Very nicely plated and decorated, I tried the very tender Mughlai Lamb shank and the paratha which is now my favourite dish.
Staff and management were very friendly, attentive and we was treated like family.
We have recommended this restaurant to our friends and family already here in the UK and hopefully will one day return.
A.
Enjoyed the food! It was actually my first visit to an Indian restaurant. I liked it a lot. Lots of different flavors that activate your taste buds :-). The service was good and they were friendly. Would recommend this place for sure.
a. m.
As always great indian food, well experience staff. Great atmosphere.
Keep it up guys
c. r.
Went with a large group with a short notice reservation, guys were lovely, food and service was great, good pricing! Highly recommend!

So I am from from the US traveling w a friend and found this restaurant on yelp ! We walked from our local Bromondsey Street neighborhood to this place in 5min. We went on Valentine’s Day. The food is great!! Excellent fast service. Nice quaint “date night” ambience. Very tasty authentic Indian cuisine. We ate everything!!!! I recommend the multi appetizers pick for starters (pic below but we ate 1 thing) . Entree- Spicy salmon served w rice. Tender and My friend ordered the lamb shank which is enough for 2 (very large portions). Desert, it was their ice cream
Cake it was so so... we barely ate because we were so full from the apps and our entree! Definitely coming back and will recommend to others if you’re visiting London! 👍🏾
O. A.
Very nice , elegant and peaceful ambiance , food was amazing and not over priced . Highly recommend
A. S.
One of the best Indian restaurants in London with exciting food items and very helpful staff
d.
Very good Indian.
We had a table in the door which was excellent. The A/c worked well considering it was 30+. The ambience is very good. Very attractively decorated and furnished.
We had a number of dishes from the menu as well as Beef Madras which was not on the menu but readily available. All dishes were very good. Possibly a little spicier than normal but all the better for it.
The serve sizes are generous so be careful ordering too many starters. The dishes are served in a fashion that makes sharing difficult and I prefer to share especially Indian.
The wine list is a bit thin. I do not know if BYO is possible but I would suggest doing so if it is.
A very enjoyable evening.
S. K.
Authentic Indian food. The food SPICY are really hot. Tasted their Naga Chicken which was awesome but not mild spice lovers. The staff is very polite. Mr. Kamal who did my serving was very good in suggesting dishes. Overall very nice experience and would visit again when I'm back in London.
M. Y.
Still the best Indian food in London. Thank you dipayan for serving us
M. I.
Owner is very lovely. As it is in the heart of tower bridge, it does not disappoint. The chefs have made beautiful chicken tikkas and lamb kofte’s for me and my husband on our visit to London. They have made us feel very welcome and we will make sure to come again.
J. L.
Absolutely loved this restaurant, we went here on a Wednesday night, would highly recommend this restaurant, can't wait for a return visit, if you love Indian food then put this restaurant on your list to go 😊👌
K. M.
Love, love, love! I live a few blocks away but always bring family and friends here when they’re in town and the food and service never disappoint! I order delivery often from their easy to navigate website as well. Would recommend to any and all! Tourists and locals, get ready for stellar food and service!
O. W.
Ok. Service a bit shambolic. Had to ask for a clean plate as one of the ones that put on our table was not clean. Restaurant had refurb during COVID yet is not finished well inside and has a bit of a tatty feeling about it. Owner is very kind and friendly.
J. S.
Amazing food - a clear notch above average Indian. Polished and great service in a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Z. F.
We had a great time in the restaurant Tower Tandoori with yummy and beautifully presented meal. it was a six of us and everyone enjoy the Indian taste and calm atmosphere.
Food is fresh and yummy. On of us asked to have a meal with no spice at all and chef kindly did it.
Thank you so much we are defiantly coming back again.
I.
We have been to this place once almost six months ago and we just ordered takeaway, it’s been by far one of the most delicious foods we have ever tasted. All clean and safe, amazing customer service, very quick and incredibly dishes! Many congrats to the chef and the whole kitchen!
M. S.
Tower Tandoori serves without doubt the best Indian food I've tasted, every Indian restaurant should aspire to serve food of this quality.
m. s. a.
One of the finest Indian restaurants in London and the Tower Bridge area. Great staff and food always
J. G.
Food was excellent and the flavours were unbelievable. Service from everyone in the restaurant is extraordinary and you leave the place with a huge smile after receiving the full experience
T. L.
Had their Sunday lunch banquet as my first meal out after lockdown. As always, it was a superb experience - their food is absolutely delicious, and the set banquet meal is amazing value. Lovely and professional staff, and meticulously clean and socially distanced. It's great to have the opportunity to dine here again, and I'll definitely be back soon.
a. u.
The best restaurants in the area without a doubt... been in tower bridge road since 1970s
S. B.
Appetisers were pleasing and light but yet filling.
Mains were delicious and definitely worth trying the mixed char grilled sizzler.
Desserts also yummy.
5 stars overall. Great & fast service. Very friendly.
P. M.
One of the best indian meals ive had in london!
A. H.
Had lamb mughlai, and a nan. Meat was very tender and bread nice. Waiters were very hospitable.
(Lamb came with rice but not pictured)
T. W.
Beautiful, freshly cooked curry - really great flavours. Nice atmosphere and very attentive staff! Thanks to Raj and his team for a lovely experience! Have been twice now and loved it both times. Have recommended to friends and family!

43 years Old Tandoori Restaurant!
Definitely doing things right at this place near elephant and castle. The host is wonderful and such a smily guy plus his team are all jolly too. Food was brilliant.... no greasy curries here, everything tasted new and fresh. 👍🏼
S. S.
One of the best Indian restaurants in London. The staff are polite and friendly and the food is wonderful. Takeaway is good too. (Review based on a number of visits in the last few years)
E. M.
I randomly found this restaurant on a business trip. Immediately I was struck by how attentive and friendly the staff were, and was then served an imaginatively presented and delicious meal. The menu was clearly marked with gluten free options and I was impressed by the waiters and atmosphere. I will certainly return. This is a restaurant making a huge effort to make a success of itself and it deserves to prosper.
G.
Had a meal during covid times so the menu was rather small, the meat was juicy but all in all the portions are on the smaller side, the price on the upper end. Atmosphere was a little lacking, table service was good, may try again once the full menu is released but for now it was a one time trip
F. L.
Our experience was great. The food was delicious with the right amount of spice. We like spicy food and some places are not able to make the dishes the way we like. We even had a person in our party that did not like spicy food and they were able to accommodate. The Nan was delicious and all the plates amazing.
M. j. M. n.
Very little quantity of food! Price too heavy for the items which we can get for much better price and tastier in other restaurants. Out of the whole order of 50 pounds we dined in only one item was good rest were all average for the cost they provided. Also to specify the ice cream we had Ferrero rocherr tasted old ....
C. L.
Delicious food, quick service, beautiful decor and a very relaxed atmosphere!
I would certainly recommend this place for a night out!
S. J.
Delicious! Tasty! Nice and spicy! A couple of ice-cold refreshing Kingfisher beers!
Attentive and friendly staff. Aircon restaurant - a welcome relief from cooking in a sweltering kitchen and working from home.
I’ll be back next week to start my new regular visit to support the local community.... and take the opportunity to EatOutToHelpOut 😊
N. C.
Quite a large restaurant for an Indian cuisine and has a good authentic atmosphere. The menu caters to both the authentic and adventurous sides of Indian cuisine. The price of the food is a well priced for the portion size. The manager approached us at the end to just talk about the food which was nice and was very friendly. The staff were nice and I would definitely visit again to try new food the next time.
W. G.
Really good service, food was good. Pricing was very reasonable alsk
M. D.
In town just for a couple of days for business and this restaurant happened to be walking distance from my hotel (Marriott Residence Inn London Bridge). The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Raj, Ali, and the other waiters are very professional but also make the experience very warm and pleasant. A great place to dine alone or with others- will definitely be back!
L. O.
Tandoori restaurant in london bridge with good service and and the best food. lovely flavours and spice. Came here due to the good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The service was exceptional - we had Ali who was attentive but not overbearing. He advised the house special which was one of the best curries Ive had in London. My friend is vegan an there was a great selection for her.
M. C.
This brilliant restaurant is closed but is offering takeout during the lockdown. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. Ordering takeaway was easy through their website and we were able to pick up the food quickly, without a wait! Keep up the great work feeding the hospital staff guys!
J. J. (. G. E.
Located quiet close to Tower Bridge on the South side of the Thames.
We all had an enjoyable meal in a relaxed environment. Thanks to the waiters for being quick to hear our orders and ensure we were looked after.
The cooks did a great job, thank you.
Y. G.
Amazing place. True Indian food with the best service in the city. Definitely recommend.
R. M.
Great place! Got a selection of dishes from the traditional to the more adventurous and all the food was outstanding. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the venue spacious and airy.
After a long day, happened to be in the area and very happy to have stumbled across this place. I will definitely be making a trip back. My only disappointment was didn't leave enough room for dessert.
D. P.
My second visit to Tower Tandoori. I came here for the second time because the food was excellent and staff were brilliant.
I had the special spiced lamb tonight and it really was delicious, superbly cooked and well spiced. I hope to enjoy great food and great hospitality here again.
J. R.
Saw their Announcement of Sunday Banquet, went there at 14:00 to be told it is unavailable and ended up eating from the menu. Food was quite tasty though. Please remove the advertisement or correct the timing details if you cannot stick to it.
A. W.
5 stars alone for the hot towel offered at the end of the meal. My hands feel so soft and fresh and smell wonderful. In addition, really delicious curries that I hadn't seen elsewhere. Attentive service. Kitchen open late. Highly recommend.
G. B.
Me and my boyfriend go here very regularly. Great food, great service (they always want to be of help) and they're more than happy to give recommendations. Enam is lovely and has taken the time to get to know and remember us which we really appreciate. Just a honest-run place where their heart & soul is in making sure you have an amazing meal. If anything is a problem they'll always sort it.
Will continue to keep coming back. :)
C. J.
Went as a large group (13 people) - Food was good and service generally quite good, however staff were quite pushy to sell us as much as possible, which got a little annoying. We were also lied to about the dessert when explicitly asking if the Kulfi was homemade - they told us it was so we ordered a lot of portions. When it game it clearly not homemade and not very nice at all. When we challenged them they just made a joke about it and made no attempt to remove it from the bill despite how much we spent overall. Also restaurant tried to claim we hadn't paid enough at the end when we actually overpaid (luckily we re worked it out ourselves).
Still worth a visit, but I think the staff just need to improve customer service a bit.
M. R.
Had my birthday here and they really went out of their way to make it special. Margaritas were strong and food was quite good, easily the best food I had in london including Gordon Ramsey's Heddon Street Kitchen. They brought me a special chicken dish as well as an ice cream with a giant candle, totally embarrassing but very fun. The wait staff were attentive and personable. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in the city.
M. R.
Great food with really good customer service. Waiters were really polite. Upon ordering the food, it wasn't long until the food arrived as the atmosphere allowed myself and my family to have some quality family time. You could taste that the chef had prepared the food with great passion. I would highly recommend eating in and ordering takeaway.
A. M.
Great place for Indian food.. the person Amit provides excellent hospitality. Must visit for Indian cuisine
D. S.
Fantastic staff and flavors of food. I have been visiting this establishment for two years now during my business trips to London. Besides eating I suggest a conversation with the owner Suhel (3rd generation owner) or anyone on staff and you will be blessed with laughs and knowledge.
I was blessed to visit this amazing restaurant last year during a business trip. I just picked it on a whim. For four consecutive days after that first meal I enjoyed a different dish each night. I was treated to a dynamic mix of food over the course of those days, each with their own fantastic flavors and stories.
J.
Nice Indian with a nice atmosphere. The waiters were attentive without being pressuring. Some other reviews mentioned being oversold but I didn't notice any of that. The decor was nice and modern and the toilets were also nice. The food was fresh with many items on the menu and buffet.
O. M.
Hello Tower Tandoori! Hope you're doing great! Yesterday we had dinner with my friend in your restaurant. I absolutely love your meal and the way you cook :) Thank you so much for great time and fabulous service. Especially I'd like to thank your waiter Shiplu for his kindness and excellent service! Thanks him for dessert! All the best for you, guys ! More satisfied clients and goodness! Definitely we'll see you again !
s. r.
Pretty good ambience with tasty Indian food and nice customer service. The restaurant is well placed for commute with dim lighting apt for casual romantic dine out. The food tastes authentic and fresh. Although the food can be more spicy as it’s quiet blunt for Indians. Definitely worth dining here than crystal china were the food is quiet horrible.
C. T.
I always come back to this place for the amazing experience and delicious food.
The staff is friendly and very professional and they always make sure that our needs are exceeded.
Thank you Dipayan for the lovely service and keep up the good work!
D. M.
A brilliant Indian takeaway meal ordered through their website last weekend. The massala was amazing and the Nans are nice and soft and fresh
T. k.
The restaurant is located near to Tower bridge but not walking distance though. The menu is good and food tasted good. The service was nice but not fast. You can spend your time leisure here. Price is nominal and ambience is not bad to complain. Overall it's a good Indian restaurant to be visited once a while.
S. B.
We booked for Saturday at 7.30 we arrived on time to a restaurant packed solid , we were shown to our table by a very friendly waiter, we were left for some time and then they took our drinks order , I ordered a large coke which came in a small milk bottle with a straw which we thought was strange the coke was very flat,
I asked to change to a glass. We then ordered popadoms for the whole table which arrived very quickly but not freshly cooked. We then ordered starters and mains, starters came after 30 mins and was very good and very enjoyable, 2 hours later we still had not received main meal. . What we did notice there was a lot of takeaways leaving the restaurant, mains finally arrived and to our disappointment that they were not very hot , although we enjoyed the flavour of the curries, I asked for the bill to find the price very reasonable. As we were about to leave the manger sent a bottle of wine over to apologise, I believe this a good quality restaurant just far to busy, customers were waiting far to long for the whole meal experience.
Next time we are there I think we will try again and hope it’s not so busy..
Shane and friends

Nice setting, good service, food was nice but nothing I'd go around raving to people about. I will say that they do push reviews on Google litelly whilst giving you your bill, which felt a bit odd. Otherwise a nice experience, its around the corner for me, but I'm not sure if it justifies a long travel to get there.
B. 1.
Up there with the best, great atmosphere, great service and excellent food. The food is always fresh and full of flavour, I just love the Dill Salmon and Lamb Shank Mughlai. Will definitely visit again.
L. P.
It's celebrating 40 years, with good reason. The menu is on 2 pages, no chips, just the real thing. The food tastes fresh, the spicing is balanced and varied. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's very good. I'm so glad I found it!
F. R.
Great tasting food, good portions and nicely spiced. The staff are friendly if a little too attentive which made me think they are really looking to get favourable reviews which was confirmed when getting the bill, they asked us to review them on TripAdvisor. That aside, the decor is pleasant and it was nice to have the sliding doors open on a sunny evening. Would go back if I'm in the area again.

Wonderful Indian restaurant with great service in London

Fantastic food in lovely luxurious surroundings! The music is gorgeous….

A brilliant restaurant in the heart of London town. The tandoori lamb chops and dal makna was brilliant! The waiters were so helpful and their recommendations was spot on. Overall a great experience...cannot find 1 fault!

My favourite Indian Restaurant in London without a doubt! And being Indian we're a picky bunch! This was my third visit and it was as enjoyable as the first. Well cooked curry with very nice fluffy nan bread. Will have to have dessert next time...it looked so good on the table next to us... who spent more time taking pictures of it! 😄
N. J.
Visited Tower Tandoori with a bunch of friends. When we had entered we were all welcomed in such a polite and friendly manner.
We were given plenty of time to choose and order our food, despite the busy, yet positive atmosphere. Food was authentic and DELICIOUS! Great atmosphere, great food and a wonderful service, not to forget definitely value for money. Definitely recommended.

IF u want an excellent curry then go to Tower Tandoori I went for a meal with my family and had a fantastic time. The food was top class. The service was excellent. ENAM the waiter provided an excellent recommendations. Will be visiting again.

This has to be one of my favourite restaurants in London - it's certainly the best Indian. The menu is very impressive, the food is excellent and the price makes it excellent value for money. We are always treated like family when we go and have indeed taken our own family and friends there all of whom have agreed they would definitely go back.
Z. N.
Lovely place to dine in. Food is very delicious and service was excellent. Enjoyed to have a lunch with my family there. Staff is also very welcoming and helpful.
D. P.
Food was really nice, service was quick.

The general consensus from the group of guys I went with, is that Tower Tandoori is easily the best Indian restaurant we've been to.
Excellent food, authentic atmosphere and incredible staff who were really attentive and willing to do anything to ensure we had a great visit.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough. I can't wait to come back!
L. S.
Staff rather unfriendly, we were a largeish birthday group, saying hello to one another, and they we were told abruptly to sit down. They then didn't take our orders for another good 10 minutes, and everything was slow to come out.
I thought the food was tasty, but my Indian friends were not so impressed - I'm no expert! It was quite pricey though, and the drinks menu was very limited.
Bathrooms clean, reasonable ambience, and free parking outside after 7pm.
L. D.
Visited Tower Tandoori tonight with my husband. Had a lovely meal for our anniversary. The food is always of an amazing quality. We enjoy the atmosphere here which is always enjoyable and we always leave full to the brim!
Lovely friendly staff and we have never been disappointed whether it’s a takeaway or a visit to the restaurant.
Our local Indian restaurant that never fails to deliver on service and quality.
Highly recommended!
M. P.
Excellent venue with great decor. Interesting menu with good selection of dishes. Nice ambiance and friendly service. Not the cheapest but food of high quality. 👍👍
Visited here again tonight for my daughter's birthday. Great food as always, nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. They even gave her a bottle of wine as a present. Recommended 😁

Great polite service, the food was tasty, prawn birayani was amazing. The waiter called Ali was extremely helpful he guided me and my partner on what to order, and was very kind an thoughtful throughout our dining experience. The vibe of the restaurant was very authentic.

Visited this lovely Indian restaurant for our office Xmas party! Our office is based in Surrey but we decided on a few activities in London topped off by a traditional curry!
This was no traditional curry... very authentic and the spicing was spot on! All very tasty food plus presentation was nice too! Service also very attentive.

Booked Tower Tandoori for a birthday meal of 40 people. They were very prompt with responding and helping me organise beforehand, and were fabulous when we all arrived. The service was excellent, everyone always had enough drinks and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was also great. Would definitely eat here again.

Went to this wonderful place for my friends birthday. Excellent ambience, fab customer service and also excellent service on the day. The food was tasty, sumptuous and a beautiful twist to the usual Indian staple and street foods. Food isn't cheap but then that's well advertised. Great location. Highly recommended.

One of the best Indian meals I’ve had during the lockdown! And I’ve had an Indian meal from a different takeout almost every week 👌
R. S.
Going to Tower Tandoori was brilliant and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect dining experience. The service from the waiters was excellent, polite and they all looked happy to be working there! The decor of the restaurant was attractive, eye catching and it worked well with the surroundings. The food was excellent, well presented and not to mention tasty, they got the spices just right the flavor I was getting from the meat was beautiful!
I've come here before and I didn't think they could beat the service they gave me previously, boy was I proven wrong. Tower Tandoori is a wonderful restaurant that is more than deserving of the 5 stars I've given it and I will be more than definitely coming to eat here again!

Brilliant Indian / Bangladeshi restaurant in London!
s. m.
Visited here due to reviews i had seen online. I was not disappointed as service was great and food was fabulous my only negative was that i ordered a mix grill starter and one of the chicken tika pieces felt like it was microwaved and also felt a little rubbery. Other than this everything else was spot on. I ate midweek on a Wednesday and the restaurant was fairly quite so no need to reserve a table.
L. B.
Very nice experience today. I enjoyed the food a lot, so my friend did. Plus amazing service. Will be back 😊
N. K.
A wonderful experience in London tower bridge... the food was fresh and tasty and the staff were always helpful and attentive. Thanks
A. H.
After reading reviews on google plus, i was quite shocked. However, for a girls night out, my friends and i decided on a curry. We took our chances after reading other review sites, which were good!?
The staff, atmosphere and the food were five star! We ordered the works, starters, mains, sides, desserts and even a few cocktails. My fave was the calamari starter and the gulabjam dessert. The waiter who took our order was v helpful and did not oversell and also recommended matching drinks.
The decor even continued into the loos. Probably the best looking restaurant toilets in London! We even took pics...sad i know!!!?@
Its no wonder that even on a sunday night the restaurant was buzzing with customers, we cant wait to go back! 😊

Wow! Really amazing quality and generous sized portions. One of the best biryanis in London for sure 👍

Great place! Got a selection of dishes from the traditional to the more adventurous and all the food was outstanding. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the venue spacious and airy. …

Post lockdown meal at Tower Tandoori in London SE1 near London Bridge was amazing. Great atmosphere as usual and clean as ever. Social distancing in place and well thought out changes for covid including disposable glasses, menus, masks, sanitation stations etc
M. R.
Great food with really good customer service. Waiters were really polite. Upon ordering the food, it wasn't long until the food arrived as the atmosphere allowed myself and my family to have some quality family time. You could taste that …
A. S.
Small menu done well. V friendly.
M. B.
The general consensus from the group of guys I went with, is that Tower Tandoori is easily the best Indian restaurant we've been to. …
J. K.
The service and staff were very nice. However, the food presentation was not great. One of our dish was so hard to chew.
M. B.
Amazing place! The food is incredible and the service is great. A place to come back again!
G.
Had a meal during covid times so the menu was rather small, the meat was juicy but all in all the portions are on the smaller side, the price on the upper end. Atmosphere was a little lacking, table service was good, may try again once the full menu is released but for now it was a one time trip
R. N.
My favourite Indian in the area. Will only get take away from this place. Food is the best! Strongly recommend. Korma & tikka masala are favourites. Both wonderfully creamy. Vegetable samosa excellent too, although they could be a little less spicy!
P. R. O.
Can say this was a pleasant experience. Everyone here was friendly, the ambient was cozy and the food was great. If you are in south London craving for Indian food, please do not hesitate in going here.
D. W.

Waiters are friendly and everyone smiles! 9/10
The restaurant didn't smell like curry like other Indian Resturants and the toilets were clean 9.5/10
Atmosphere 9/10 (birthday celebration was brilliant)

A lot of people have recommended Tower Tandoori to me, so a few of us thought we'd try it out. The food was absolutely amazing, everything was served piping hot! We didn't have to wait long at all between courses and the staff were really friendly and approachable. I will definitely be going back soon to try some more of their delicious dishes! It was a very enjoyable night and such a great atmosphere for dining!
M. A.
One of the best and oldest Indian restaurants in London. We live locally and we swear by this place.... they are a benchmark for Indian genuine Indian cuisine in the UK.
M. P.
Nice food but the staff could be more attentive
A. A.
A truly brilliant experience, the food was delicious and fresh, the service was outstanding. The manager took his time to talk to me and asked how my food was and was very helpful and welcoming. The interior design made the restaurant feel cosy, warm and gave very authentic vibes. I was extremely impressed and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food.
M. J.
I absolutely loved Tower Tandoori’s atmosphere! I went there for my mothers birthday with a lot of family and the staff was amazing and made us all feel very comfortable as we also had young children with us and they was great with everyone. They also had the whole restaurant sing happy birthday to my mum which was excellent The food was great and would definitely go back again. Big thank you to all staff for making my mothers birthday special!!!
B. K.
Great food and great service. We were in London and I found this gem within walking distance of the tower bridge. Glad we tried it! We took the waiter's recommendation for the lamb and chicken.

Wedding Anniversary
Choosing a venue for a 10th wedding anniversary is no easy feat! However, right from our first email enquiry in December 2018 till 10pm last Sunday (when we left the restaurant).... everything was perfect!
The staff did so much to make us feel loved and welcome. The chef even came to say Hello and even gave us a bottle of wine to take home! The menu that was created especially for us was brilliant aswell considering my wife’s celiac allergy.
Bless you guys... you are brilliant! It’s no wonder you are the oldest Indian restaurant in London!
Y. M.
Some dishes were better than others (for example we really liked Chicken Biriani but not so much the Chicken Tikka , who had sweet gravy).
Same goes for desserts and appetizers. Some we finished (Samusa). Others - remained on the plate (the Traka dall).
So this may be a reasonable choice if you're in the area but otherwise - I suspect London has better Indian places.
G. E. J.
Great food, great service - one of the best curry houses in London and that's coming from a brummie... just a really genuine Indian with excellent food - don't think twice just try it
R. S.
We came from India and I definitely think this restaurant has high quality Indian flavour to its food. Everything was perfect, the staff were kind, the music in my the background and the food was extremely delicious. I would highly recommend this place and I will visit Tower Tandoori again.
F. F.
Had an amazing time here when I came with family. Food was delicious, good variety of dishes, definitely recommend if your looking for a good place to just relax and enjoy yourself. Commendable customer service. Would definitely be returning here :)

We visited this place today after our visit to tower bridge.
The food was very nice . The person serving us suggested us dishes and even got extra items for us. We enjoyed our time at this place a lot and the staff only made it even better
I really liked the dessert platter suggested by the staff in the end. It was very very nice.
Highly recommend this place.
G. F.
Had a Sunday buffet for two people on mother's day - poppadoms, very generous mixed starters, 6 main courses with rice and naan, and dessert to finish. Food was excellent and Amit, our waiter, was extremely nice. I have been to Tower Tandoori multiple times and was never disappointed, but this time it was really special! Highly recommended.
A. S.
Great food with really good customer service. Waiters were really polite. Upon ordering the food, it wasn't long until the food arrived as the atmosphere allowed myself and my family to have some quality family time. You could taste that
A. C.
The best food, lovely and hospitable staff! Seriously, we're vegetarian and have been travelling all month and this is hands down the best food we've had, in all honestly it's the best Indian food I've ever had.
M. H.
Being a big fan of Indian food, I feel so fortunate to have Tower Tandoori 10 minutes walk from where I live. The food is just so good, great value portions wise as well, and staff - just as I experienced again tonight. Many thanks and see you soon again!
A. P.
Found our new go to curry place! Everyone needs a go to curry delivery joint. After a couple of years of trying out different places East & South East, we finally tried TT and found our match! We ordered 3 curries to share and everything tasted absolutely amazing - from tikka masala to bhuna to their lamb leg dhansak. Portions were perfect and unlike other curry restaurants they package the curries well without wrapping the containers in layers and layers of plastic wrap. Big fan.
S. M.
First visit to our new local with friends, and we all really enjoyed it. Two of our party were vegan, and the waiters Amit and Babu went out of their way to cater for them. They also provided another of our friends with extra hot chillies to satisfy his appetite for spice! Highly recommend!
J. K.
The service and staff were very nice. However, the food presentation was not great. One of our dish was so hard to chew.
E. Q.
Just had a meal there, first time. Friendly, polite and attentive staff. Good portion sizes and good food. Will visit again!

Really good Indian Food in Tower Bridge Road! Fantastic service aswell
R. F.
We used to live close to Tower Tandoori and went quite frequently. Now that we live in America we only get to enjoy the wonderful food, excellent, friendly service and pleasant atmosphere that Tower Tandoori delivers when we visit London. To my America friends I would suggest that if you want to experience the best Indian food in London don't miss Tower Tandoori
A. S. C.
We had booked a table for 6:30 and we called them to let them know we would be a bit late. They told us we had to be there at 7 the latest as they had other reservations. We were there at 7 and the restaurant was completely empty, only 2 other tables between 7 and 9. The food was quite good and the service okay.
J. W.
Food was excellent, standouts include Tandoori chicken, daal, and palak paneer. Also, garlic naan was exceptional. Super nice staff, got is right in + responded to request for reservations via Google in under 5 min. Highly recommended

Not only were the staff really friendly and helpful, but the food was absolutely delicious. I love the restaurants decor and atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area and looking for a great dining experience.

Tower Tandoori in tower bridge road looked after us so well... Each of us have written a review about their brilliant restaurant. The dishes they recommended were all mouthwatering to see and wonderful to eat. We have decided to book for Christmas day lunch because we all enjoyed the food and service so much.
T. K.
Post lockdown meal at Tower Tandoori in London SE1 near London Bridge was amazing. Great atmosphere as usual and clean as ever. Social distancing in place and well thought out changes for covid including disposable glasses, menus, masks, sanitation stations etc

Staff is courteous, service is prompt.
We ordered Dal Makhani and Chole, both were tasty, Dal was a little too thick to my taste.
Chapaties were soft, would have preferred tandoori roti on the menu. Would like to visit again.
S. W. M.
Great place. We often get takeaway from here, and the food is always great with a wide range of dishes to suit your taste buds. When we do eat in, the service is good and atmosphere is very relaxing.

Hosted a lunch dinner here for 30 people and and the events coordinator Sam could not have been more helpful. They stayed opened past their normal lunch hours for our group. The food came very promply and was enjoyed by the entire group. Service was brilliant amd staff were incredibly friendly! Would certainly recommend for good indian foor near london bridge and especially if planning a party at short notice!
K. F.
Really like it here. Food very very nice and reasonably priced! Also check out the toilets here! No not joking toilets are 5 star. Only slight moan is when it's really quiet staff can be a little too over attentive.
S. P.
A hidden gem. This place is well known to the locals to have authentic Indian food. In addition to this the ambiance is quite nice and they have obviously put in a lot of effort to achieve a pleasant cultural touch. Highly recommended.
I. Y.
Incredible restaurant! I ordered the chicken biryani and a garlic naan and it was perfect. The chicken was exactly the way I hoped it would be and the curry was full of flavor! Service was fast and exceptional
A. K.
Very delicious food and very kind Staff.
M. K.
Proper Indian food in a really nice restaurant in tower bridge! The rann akbari which was recommended by the waiter was something different but really tasty. We also had the special dessert they had... Lovely presentation and a unique take on the traditional banana fritters! Staff were also helpful, friendly and not too pushy. Be back again soon with my parents who love Indian food. 😄
R. C.
We visited Tower Tandoori as a group of 15 people. They had no problems seating us comfortably and provided a swift service. Great variety and we all received our food at the same time.
A special thank you to Sam and Emon for their exceptional customer service. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Tower Bridge / Bermondsey area.
R. L.
Went in for lunch and I can confidently say it was one of the best Indians I've had, the staff were very helpful and we received our food quite quickly, which was excellent.
Would definitely come again.

Exceptional service and food. Was made to feel welcome from entering the door. Especially enjoyed the mix grill along with the chicken tikka masala. Recommendations on the wine also added a touch of flair for the rest of our dinner service. Will be back again.

We now live in America but still visit London two or three times a year. No visit to London is complete without having dinner at Tower Tandoori. Delicious food, excellent friendly service, delightful ambience. For us the best Indian restaurant in London.
S. A.
I read the reviews and visited whilst on business in London. The food and service is excellent. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve eaten in.
U. W.
Brilliant curries and excellent service!! I was served by a Tibetan waiter who was hospitable to my family and I the whole night. I highly recommend this restaurant for quality Indian cuisine!!
S. M.
Now living in Spain and just returned from a lovely trip to London. Was great to return after nearly 10 years and it bought back some wonderful memories! We visited Tower Tandoori in Tower Bridge on Wednesday night...I had actually been here before as I lived in Wapping nearby!
The decor had changed but the place still looks very pleasant. The staff and owners were very freindly and when they heard I had returned after so long, they went out of their way to ensure I had a memorable evening. Even though they were very busy, the staff would keep an eye on my table to ensure everything was ok. In the end, the chef came out to greet us, which was a lovely touch.
He told us how he cooks his makhani sauce, which I really enjoyed. I recommend this place highly and will definitely return, hopefully won't be 10 years this time!!
N. P.
Their service and the quality of their food has improved massively due to their every increasing interest in improving their restaurant, which has been owned by the same family since the 70's. They have a Michelin rated chef that comes in weekly, who oversees how the menu, chefs and general restaurant can contuinally improve in their service. This is not a spot to miss by any means. Apart from actually being in India, this is the best Indian food I have tasted, thus far, in South London.
T. J.
You known when a group of 50 Indians show up on a tour buss you've chosen wisely. I dare say best ive had yet. Our server Mit was a sweetheart and a great server. He brought several items complimentary just to show off the dish and make our meal even better. Highest regards would recomend it, especially if you need a break from British food.
T.
Been here a few times over the years. Always friendly and courteous.
Great food at a reasonable price.
Nice ambience and all welcome.
Would recommend.
A. R.
Excellent takeaway and delivery!
Food is good as it’s ever been. Great speed on the deliveries and I got to enjoy a nice hot indian dinner with the Family
Q. G.

E. L.
Really good food and great atmosphere. The staff were so helpfulnice and patient while we had to wait for friends to arrive. Definitely coming here whenever I'm in the area.

We decided to visited the Tower Tandoori last night with my family that live in the area. It was quite busy for a Tuesday night, staff were very helpful and friendly.
Food was Amazing!! i tried the Shuruwat Thali (starter) and the Naga Chicken for mains, nicely presented and decorated dishes.
We definitely recommend to everyone and will be back.
D.
My friend and I came to this restaurant as it was the only Indian open on a Sunday midday. We ordered a Paneer tikka Masala and a Paneer Jalfrazi (they don't usually cook these) and the jalfrazi was alright but the tikka masala had too much coconut and sugar in it. Our waiter Kamal, was very nice and was diligently looking over us. I do recommend for meat eaters but not for vegetarians.
B. G.
We had a great meal, the service was exceptional and it was the best meal we had in London. Amit was especially gracious and very good with my kids. I’d highly recommend this place. 👍👍
M. S.
Great Indian food with great service to match
L. M.
My favourite Indian restaurant in London! I have visited this place quite regularly over the last 3/4 months for different occasions including a birthday party which was amazing - the chef and waiters all sang happy birthday! 😄
N. C.
Absolutely delicious indian food!
I went to celebrate my birthday yesterday night and the attention was incredible! Thank you so much!
We will come back for sure!
P. L.
As with a diner last week, a waiter recommended the Raan Akbari. The dish was very well presented and was delicious. I asked that the sauce be fairly hot and I was not disappointed.
N. B.
Best Indian meal I've had in the UK. Having just arrived in London after a week staying in Mumbai at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel I would have to say that the food is better here than in the aforementioned hotel's restaurants. Highly recommended, only problem was we couldn't eat all the food we ordered as the portions were so large.
J. T.
Fantastic food with fantastic service. Our host Amit went well above for us and made us feel at home. I had the mixed grill which I can definitely recommend. Delicious!
T. V.
Amazing food. I had the Classic Thali!
The service was top quality, thank you to Ali!
I will recommend this place to all my family and friends
K. Z.
Amazing food in a magical, cozy setting. The servers are very friendly and attentive. The food is stunningly delicious. A shout out goes to Amit, who was a wonderful and welcoming waiter.

My colleagues and I have been meaning to visit this restaurant for some time now as we work nearby in long lane. We finally had the chance on monday evening.
After work we took a leisurely stroll down to Tower Bridge Road and upon arrival we were greeted with enthusiasm by 2 waiters dressed in smart red jackets and another chap who looked like the manager. Our coats were politely taken from us and we were seated at a table near the window.
A few minutes later a waiter came to take our drinks orders and the obligatory popadom order. The popadoms arrived nice and crisp and the dips tasted fresh and homemade.
After a little while the manager came to take our order, we decided not to opt for starters on this occasion. I chose a Tandoori King Prawn in mint and dill sauce, which was advertised outside. My colleagues chose Thali's and a classic Chicken Korma. The chap taking our order was very informative but not too pushy, he could have easily made us order side dishes, condiments, etc. He explained that if we needed to order extra items we could do so later. This would prevent us from over ordering. Why can't all restaurant managers be like this?!
While our food was being prepared the manager persuaded us to play a game of "Carrom" with him. He even taught us how to play it and got another waiter involved to help. We then returned to our table as our food was ready to be served. The Chef personally came out to serve us our food and he invited us to visit his kitchen to watch him use the Tandoor! We didnt take him up on his offer this time but promised to do so next time. As expected the food was nothing but perfect, I vowed that I would try a Thali next time round because it was so nicely presented. My King Prawn dish was not over bearingly minty but carefully spiced and this can be said about all the other dishes as well. Even the rice and naans were light and well presented. After finishing our meals, two of us opted for Milk Chai upon a waiters recommendation. They arrived promptly and as requested they were not too sweet.
Overall, our night out was good value for money, we were treated to a beautiful meal and the staff took very good care of us. On the downside Tower Tandoori has set the bar so high that we will have very very high expectations every time we visit. Nonetheless, it is no wonder this restaurant has been there for so long and so busy for a monday night.
M. R.
Wonderful post COVID meal at the new Look Tower Tandoori... so happy this restaurant has survived the pandemic
H. I.

Good service. Reasonably priced food, the usual limited vegetarian choice. It is a popular place and was busy even on a Sunday evening.

K. P.
Extremely nice food would defenatly recommend and will be going there again! Raj my fellow Wolverhampton friend was very helpful see you soon pal
R. O.
We ordered 2 Naans, 2 steamed rice, 1x lamb rogen josh, 1x chicken dish and 1x venison tikka.
The Naans weren't buttery and soft - they had a smoky burnt taste
The Rice was great, very soft and fluffy
The Lamb rogen josh was really good, full of flavour and soft and tender meat.
The chicken was good too, but there was some gristle in the meat, which wasn't nice
The venison tikka was AWFUL. It was chewy and hard, and the portion was absolutely tiny. It came with a pathetic little salad that added nothing to the dish. I would not recommend to anyone.
Overall, the food was OK. Just OK. The venison and curries containers were not full to the top, about half full which seemed very cheap of the company to me.
I was really looking forward to the meal but was really disappointed at the end
R. J.
Was simply great. Thanks to mr. Dipayand.
R.
The food was very good, and the service excelent. We didn't expect a dish to be hot and they prepared us another one instead.
G. L.

Best Indian Restaurant south of the river between London Bridge and Elephant and Castle! We were spoilt for choice when we checked google, but we decided on this one as it was the oldest in the area! Both me and my partner were impressed with the tandoori dishes and the freshly baked chappatis. The service was very relaxed and we werent rushed even though it was busy! As the saying goes...Old is Gold!
K. E.
