If you’re looking for a warm and welcoming restaurant with a good buzz to visit, then this is the one. It is clean and tastefully decorated, the staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, hot and plentiful. I am a non-meat eater but have to confess, the aroma of my company’s dishes has twitched my nostrils. My nephew let them know about his dietary restrictions and it was at the forefront of their mind as they advised when he was ordering. I have been using this restaurant for 6 plus years now and my family know it as My restaurant. I have had 4 out of 5 birthdays there (only prevented by last year’s lockdown) and am always made to feel special, despite it being on Valentine’s Day. There is a waiter who should be called the entertainer. He is not at all malicious, really wouldn’t want to offend and is very sociable, cheeky and playful, with all. It's his sense of humour, which I find hilarious. I always leave happy, after a great experience and highly recommend it, as long as I can always get a table when I’m ready. Haha.

Enjoyed a meal with my mum. The staff were very friendly and attentive- which is something I appreciate. The food was good and the restaurant was clean too! However there was a lot of noise at the time as other customers were celebrating a birthday and as the place isn’t too big, it did get a little too loud for a while. Update: bought takeaway Lahmacun, was tasty and well prepared. Slightly overpriced but overall still good!

Went here with my family (8 of us) on a Friday evening for a 50th birthday meal. We had a great spacious area, decorated with balloons. The food was excellent, such a variety and so tasty, together with friendly service. The belly dancer was great, with my nieces and nephew and even my mum joining in! We will definitely visit again.

I went to this restaurant last week with my partner and my brother and his partner, I got to say , the food was top notch, service was brilliant, they didn't linger around you're table waiting, it was just a very nice experience and nice surroundings. Would I go bk there, Hell yes!!!!.....and you should take a look at there menu, I'm sure you'll find something to you're liking cos the food is the absolute NUTS!!!. PLS GO GIVE IT A TRY !

I had the mixed grill with fries here yesterday. The restaurant was clean. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. My overall impression of the meal: it was, in my opinion, expensive for what I got. The mixed grill: 1 lamb chop, 2 cubes of chicken, 2 small cubes of lamb, 2 chicken wings, small serving of Doner meat and 1 seekh kabab. It came with fries and salad. It sounds a lot of food, yet was disappointingly small. Don't get me wrong, it tasted very good. I believe £24 for a mixed grill and soft drink is on the expensive side. Especially when you're competing with Nandos. My suggestion would be to increase the portion size or decrease the price. There was nothing left to take away.

Coming from North London I tried not to compare but turkish is turkish in way... Service is ok, restaurant is nice and clean, food is good but not wow. They don't give complementary hummus or Tzazki only bread and olives. Rice says bulgar but it wasn't. Price is a little bit more than normal. Chili sauce is the best!

Although this restaurant is situated on a busy road opposite Catford Bus Garage it's like a little oasis! It's charming inside with Turkish artefacts decorating the walls and window ledges. The staff are warm, friendly and welcoming and the food and Turkish wines are delicious! Well worth a visit!

We came here the day before lockdown 2.0. We originally had to book for 8pm which was a little to late considering we had a child with us and the guy on the phone said it was perfectly fine for us to come in at 7:30. (Thank you Artu) The food was great as usual. The customer service is possibly one of the best I have ever experienced in such a long time especially with the situation going on. They still somehow manage to keep up the positive energy. My 3 year old niece really enjoyed the complimentary Turkish delight and they even gave us extra just for her. Such wonderful service and we will definitely come back once lockdown is over as we have been already a few times!

Having had a really bad experience through Uber eats delivering our meal on my husbands birthday, I emailed the restaurant and explained my disappointment with the experience. Me, my partner and 2 other couples booked for valentines night thinking we’d have a relaxed evening, share some starters and maybe have a cocktail or 2, we were very wrong. The waiter rushed us to order our starters and then the main at the same time telling us we’re going to be busy tonight I need you to order quickly. I’m sorry I thought you would be busy serving us for the evening, some more important customers must have been due in after us! He then poured our glasses of wine almost to the brim even when I tried to stop him he continued pouring and laughed. When we arrived I asked if there was somewhere I could hang my coat, where we were sitting everyone had to walk past to go to the toilet and my coat, being full length would get trodden on if I hung it on the back of my chair. After asking if I could put it with the staffs coats our waiter said okay but then held my coat up saying it’s not even a good one, it’s from Zara, how rude is that?!. I’m sure restaurants make more money from the drinks than food but these guys wouldn’t know that of our group as we weren’t good enough to be given the time to enjoy anything. The food was okay, I’ve had better. I understand being busy (I was a waitress myself for many years) but you should treat customers with respect and give them the time to enjoy what they’re paying for. Due to the service I won’t be rushing back.

I booked this venue for my 35th Bday lunch for a party of 30. I wanted a place that was family-friendly as there were nine children invited. From my initial enquiry, the staff were great with being flexible with deposit amounts, requests for various high-chairs etc. The food was great on the day and my party loved it. The food is good, but expensive, and the service is hilariously bad. Come here for take-away only. I came here with fourteen of my colleagues last Friday. The waiter insisted that we had meze to start, but refused to say what mezes we would get, or to show us the meze menu. He said instead that we would like it, and it is very good. He was very reluctant to let the party order separate main courses, but relented eventually. The service was surly and weird. The dishes were announced, and diners had to shout out to be served. When we had finished eating, our plates were snatched wordlessly by the waiting staff without so much as a 'by your leave'. When a speech was given, the waiter interrupted twice: once to offer to lift the speaker onto a table, and once to give the speaker a napkin. When the speech was over, the waiter donned a hat shaped like birthday cake and brought a piece of baklava to our host. We found it altogether amusing, until it came to the bill. We found that a number of dishes had been added to the total. It took some ten minutes of negotiation with the surly waiter to get them removed from the bill. After this experience, I shall not return to Turkuaz.

The vegetable pida is excellent, all fresh ingredients and tasty crust. However the service is very slow and the chef arrogant when not even rude. Last time they take half an hour to make a pida and a chicken wrap to take away. The chips were soggy and sloppy. Other people came well after us with big orders but they were served before (just because they spoke turkish when they ordered maybe?). The second time we were there we ordered two pidas and the chef immediately said we will have to wait at least 20minutes,which is fine. All done, when we were paying I've just asked if the container whith the salad was one for both of us and he replied with an annoyed tone of voice that it was a medium size container. I just would have liked to say to him "Calm down man, I've just asked..." but I let it go. So to sum up: the food is worth the visit but they have to work a lot on the customer service and make efforts to treat all the same way.

Turkuaz has some really nice kebabs that you can also order take away. Prices aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. Small restaurant with friendly staff and you also get 10 minutes of belly dancer on Friday and Saturday. It's quite busy on evenings so it's better to reserve a table in advance.

This is another one of those places you probably would never discover unless you live in the hood. We eat here more than any other local restaurant. My wife loves the (huge) Salmon, and I tend to mix and match various grilled loveliness. The food i uniformly good, the staff are always very friendly and helpful, and it's always busy with locals. Plus on saturday they have belly dancers! Negatives? Even though the Doner i not up to the standards of somewhere like E. Mono in Kentish Town, they sometimes still run out early in the evening. Parking can be a chore. I highly recommend the neighbouring turkish supermarket too - the Baklava there is heavenly.
