A group of us did a wine pairing with tapas and a selection of Portuguese wines. None of us in our party are that knowledgeable about this region so it was great to try something different and step outside our wine comfort zone. As for the food, each dish tasted as good as it looked and eating a number of smaller plates rather than starter, main, desert, makes it a much more sociable evening. Tony was the consumate host, explaining each dish as it was served. Friendly atmosphere, great food, fab wine, I can only give this 5 stars!

Really delicious tapas, with dishes I hadn't seen before! The ox cheek on Macaroni cheese was absolutely spectacular!! Such a convenient location as well, just up from the station. Friendly staff and nice wine all adds up for a great meal!

We went to Tziganos last Sunday eve and the wonderful staff who looked after us and the service we received, warrant our feedback. Pepe was attentive, warm and such a lovely host. Antonio was also very ,very attentive and looked after us well. Greta is the best cocktail maker too!! We had so many El Diablos...superb service. Just superb!

After living around the village for 10 years my partner and I decided to give a go and have some drinks and nibbles at Tziganos. The overall experience was great, from the service to the food. You can tell straight way that the team is very focus in providing the best experience to their customers, friendly team of 3 last night, the orders were taken with in minutes. We only had chorizo and bread for nibbles, but from observing others dishes I can tell you that the food is good. The decor of the restaurant is very cozy and warm, Which I loved it. I will definitely come back for a full dining experience.

Service was friendly, but we had to place our order twice as the first one was lost...round of drinks on the house as an apology was appreciated. Food was really average unfortunately. Friday night also attracted a pretty rowdy crowd, lots of tables of loud girls starting their nights out owing to the cocktail menu and reasonable prices. Really wanted to love this place but we won’t be returning.

The food and atmosphere was enjoyable with the exception of the calamari. They ended up charging for that dish. It was a Tapas serving style, and generally seemed ro.be having in the restaurant. It is worth a look if you are in Blackheath. It was an enjoyable experience.

We visited Tziganos for some nice tapas in Blackheath and I would say that it was very good, not excellent. The restaurant is comfortable and traditional looking. There is a good selection of dishes, we went for the prawns, potato bravas, lamb skewers, meatballs and ham. The lamb skewers were the highlight. The portion sizes were very good and we certainly didn’t leave hungry. I would recommend a visit.

I came here with a dear friend of mine. We had both lived in BH for all our lives, and decided to pour more support into local businesses.The service was wonderful, the wine was divine but the anti pasti was very disappointing. Consisting of crinkle cut picked carrots, onions celery, un unusual and bland addition. A couple of olives would have been a much more expected and delicious addition. The meat selection was of a very low quality, considering it is 16 pounds for 2, it came with 4 slices of bread, each no bigger than a crouton and 4 very mini slices of the same cheese. I want to say something nice about the anti pasti, but it was an absolute mess. it beyond me how something so simple can be done so wrong, and honey cured ham does not belong next to a slice of parma. Don't order the anti pasti! You will be sorely disappointed, but do enjoy the wine and the cocktails, they do sound delicious.

Went there yesterday with a friend and we had a nice experience. We had to wait a little to order but they made us feel more then welcome. Overall food was nice, but some was a little bit bland and the omelette was burnt. Still tho, I would return again. The service was great and the staff we very friendly. I would have scored Tziganos a 3 but the staff brought my score up to a 4..

Great experience, very pleasantly surprised with everything from beginning to end. WE really enjoyed the great half-price Monday Menu, the helpings very generous and our mains courses with delightful. They have created a great atmosphere with accompanying music. We were delighted to look at the menu and see how balanced and unique many of their dishes are. We will for sure be going again to spend time at this great local establishment. It's a must to try, hope you like it as much as we did. Fantastic location as well. Thank you Tziganos for a splendid experience.

Great tapas restaurant. Went here tonight for a meal, the service was excellent, especially from the gent that seated us. The food was great, classic tapas dishes cooked traditionally. Really reasonable price, nice service, good wine... all good. Will definitely be going back.

They have nice cocktails, food wasn't wow amazing, it was fine, however I was extremely disappointed with the Tortilla. I must say it was a very miserable tortilla especially for the price. It was such a bad tortilla, especially because this this is very popular dish in spanish restaurants and I thought it was gonna be really good but it wasn't. The tortilla was not freesh, it was microwaved!! it was dry and very plain, tasted old. I would have been embarrassed to serve that.

First off let me start by saying the service is excellent, the staff are very friendly and really helpful. The food was good, not great which was a shame as it looked fantastic. The seafood was oversalted a sign it wasn't too fresh, the meatballs also too much salt. Maybe it is just our taste that is off, decide for yourselves as it maybe to others tastes.

Friendly but muddled staff, standard food, quite a long wait for service. They also seemed to be having problems with their dumb waiter which wasn't functioning well. Not a very good experience but it was quiet when everywhere else in Blackheath was busy, so worth checking if everywhere seems full. I can't comment on the evening atmosphere because we were there at lunchtime. Try the tapas rather than the Italian food.

Food was really very good. 6 people dining, we ordered tapas, pizza, steak, lamb, mussles...and all got to try a little of each. We went on a Saturday, they were busy and my only criticism would be that our main course took longer than we would have liked to arrive. That said, when it did it was great. Very reasonable prices and fantastic staff. Really looking forward to going again and when we do we'll be trying more from the great tapas menu.

Great staff, tasty food. I do like Tziganos. They also own the deli next door, which is worth a visit if you're in the area during the day. Their tapas may not be cheap, but it is delicious. Their sangria is also worth trying and is surprisingly cheap.

I would like to tell you a bit about my experience in the Tziganos. Tonight I went to dinner at this restaurant specializing in Spanish and Italian cuisine. Basically the menu is full of tapas, but for my total disappointment after a selection of 5 tapas, I realized that this restaurant passes away from Spain ... I wonder where Italy goes in this story. I sincerely hope that the restaurant will improve its food because the environment is very pleasant. Anyway, I hope you think about it.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. The quality of the food was good, although the portions from the grill weren't as big as I'd have liked, but prices were reasonable so ordering more wouldn't have been a problem. Service was prompt and attentive. Definitely recommended. Keep up the good work.

Went here because Chapters was full, and had a pleasant enough afternoon. The service was excellent, and really put a smile on our faces, however the Calamari was overly chewy, and the "King" prawns were nothing of the sort. That said, the Cognac sauce was delicious, the Tiramisu spot on and the deep fried courgettes were to die for, hence the four stars. The wine was also very good. Just a note to the owners - the presentation could be improved with the tapas being served in true Spanish style in sizzling dishes with fresh bread for dunking, and the salad garnish could have been crisper.

whenever we come past this place it is always bustling so we decided to give it a go - we were very glad that we did! The wine list is extensive as is the tapas selection! They really are quite mixed but we went with the chorizo and caramelised onion bread, the courgettes, patatas bravas, jamon and calamari - I would not be able to fault any of these dishes - the bread was like a pizza or a naan type dough, very soft, the jamon looked and tasted like it had been carved off the bone, the patatas bravas wonderfully spicy and the courgettes were crispy on the outside and squishy on the inside and came with a delicious garlic aioli that we could not get enough of! We also got a dessert - the tiramisu - I think it must have been sitting in the fridge for a while - anyways, I wouldn't recommend it. Stick with the tapas and wine here and you will do well! Oh! The service was great too!
