Reviews of Veeraswamy
R. S.
As a Michelin starred fine dining establishment with a lot of history, the food is only a part of the experience. In terms of ambiance and decor it's quite tastefully done, and you get a sense for how much history the restaurant has.
As for the food, it's definitely good, but I was expecting just a little more considering the price and prestige. As some others have mentioned, I was also a little disappointed that there's a dress code mentioned on the website but not particularly enforced.

The position is convenient and the environment is romantic. The waiter was very professional and helpful when providing suggestions on food, and made it just enough for four. This lamb is really tender and tasty, but with a crispy skin.
I. K.
An exquisite dining experience. The ambience- interior design, decor and music- is all around very pleasant and definitely high-end, so not suitable for young children. The food is delicious and beautifully presented and the service impeccable! Despite the high price, I would definitely recommend for a special occasion, as London has a wide range of amazing Indian to offer.
A. I.
By far the best Indian food you will ever have. I can not fault anything. Great venue, Great service and Great food!!!
M. K.
The food was absolutely amazing and flavourful. The atmosphere was great and staff was quite helpful. The location is very convenient. Although the price was a little higher it was completely worth it. The was a range of food choices. The only problem was that the portions were quite big so no one at the table finished their meal completely. Suitable for older children and vegetarians.

Great place! Very delicious food!
Dish that stands out in my opinion is patiala shahi raan - lamb shank wrapped in a thin flatbread and cooked for 6 hours accompanied with some curry on the side. Probably one of the best lamb dishes I’ve ever tried, very succulent and soft, good combination of spices.
Also, really liked chicken momos, which was some kind of Indian dumplings.
Lamb chops were cooked perfectly, though I think proper knife for steaks/meat should be served for them, otherwise its really hard to cut them.
Raita was a bit too sweet in my opinion…
Service was good and very attentive, though I think our waitress was a novice and made some mistakes a few times, didn’t have info on some dishes, which is ok in general, but not what I expected from a Michelin starred restaurant.
Overall very good experience, would definitely come back!
A. S.
Amazing cosy atmosphere, delicious Indian food, super friendly and helpful staff, great place for special occasion. We will definitely return.

The best Indian restaurant in London. I had a lunch with my wife and we ordered Chicken Beryani and Chicken Makhani. The food was very tasty and delicious. The service was perfect and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly.

Lovely setting, gorgeous food! I had to take a star off because the website says that all lamb and chicken is halal, but when I asked the waiter I was told that the only lamb suitable was the seekh kebabs and the chops.
K. A.
It was a wonderful dinning experience
Went for my wife’s birthday. All the staff where well mannered and attentive.
We had the tasting menu very reasonably priced for the standard of the resturant.
Started the meal with a
soup - tasting like it was cooked in a indian home
Had prawn and tikka for starters - amazing you can taste the favours engulfing the food.
Had 4 curries for mains
Lobster curry - the sauce was really nice but not being a lobster person that didn’t tickle my fancy
Chicken curry - one of the best full of flavour and tender soft chicken
Meat curry - it was different tasting to any other meat curry i had but i dont like meat and didn’t like this after tasting it so this a person aspect.
Pineapple curry - creamy and warm pineapple was quite nice but there is an after taste that most wont like. I liked it buy my mrs didnt
To end the night they surprised my mrs with some ice cream sherbet and the dessert was chocolate moose with fruits and gold flakes
I want to especially thank *AGNELO* for his expectational service and attentiveness. He ensured that we where taken care of throughout the night. This is credit where it is deserved. I hope management do recognise this and reward him. He was the highlight of the night and made the experience that extra special. Thank you

Great experience during our visit to celebrate a special occasion. Very nice hospitality by the entire staff and the weekend lunch menu has great variety of options, everything we ordered was absolutely yummy.
M. A.
Each and every dish is delicious. You won't go wrong with anything on the menu. Hands down the best in London.
A. J.
The Dahi bhalla papdi chaat was amazing and the paneer tikka brilliant! Never had such soft paneer tikka ever, even in India.
The mains were okayish. The korma was disappointing and not filling enough, paneer gravy was average. Dal and potatoes were decent.
l.
Took the partner here for his birthday and we both had an amazing time! The food is some of the best indian we've had in London & service was very friendly & totally unpretentious for a Michelin restaurant.
Absolutely loved the head waitress (her name escapes me but she mentioned she was raised in So.Africa) - she had spot on wine recommendations for our meal.
A. B.
One of the oldest fine dining Indian restaurant. Great quality of food. Must try Rajkachori from their menu. Classic Vegetable platter, covid safety protocol followed. Ambience was pleasant. Vegetarian and vegan options available.
D. B.
Had a enjoyable Saturday lunchtime meal.
Nice flavours, great to have an Indian menu with dishes you don't recognise ensuring you're trying something different.
Good cocktails rounded the meal off nicely

First time trying Veeraswamy and it totally surpassed our expectations! The staff were amazing and really looked after us. We went as a family to celebrate my brother’s gcse results and they all made it a really lovely experience and even gave him a ‘congratulations’ cake with a candle - such a special touch. Many many thanks to all the staff, we’ll definitely be coming again soon!

The absolute best Indian food! I can’t remember how to spell everything we had but essentially it was shrimp starter, the shrimp curry, duck, naan and sea bass. Truly amazing! Must come back every time we are in London!
A. M.
The food had true Indian cuisine Flavours. Every bite came with hidden flavours.
I. E.
Amazing experience at Veeraswamy. Amazing food, amazing hospitality. They even overheard the overheard our conversation about a birthday and brought a cake and candle - above and beyond
M. T.
This is still one of the best Indian restaurants out there. Amazing and original flavour combinations in the food, as well as an outstanding service and historic charm to it. I do not understand some of the reviews complaining about the portion sizes. This is a place you go to experience many different exciting flavours, not to roll out having stuffed yourself!
J. D.
For a Michelin star restaurant I was hoping for more creative dishes. My favorite was the appetiser. Everything else was decent but nothing stood out. I also expected fresh, decadent naan but it was just ok
P.
A great Indian high end restaurant with good food. The service was of a high standards and extremely friendly staff too. They were able to give us a table 45 minutes before our actual sitting which was extremely kind of them. The food was of good portion sizes with good authentic indian taste.
The only downside was that all other customer's were provided with a hot wet towel before and after their meal, not sure why, it would have been nice to be treated similarly to other customers. But otherwise a good restaurant to visit if you're around the area.
F. J.
Very tasty food, kind and attentive staff, beautiful ambience
I. K.
Absolutely amazing food, hospitality and service! I cannot praise this restaurant enough, It was incredible!
We chose this restaurant because of their reviews and it's spot on.
The only downside was that they only had 2 toilets for the ladies, which one of them were out of order, however the toilets were really nice and clean.
Definitely would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Ps. Thank you staff for an amazing experience!
H. C.
Easily one of the best Indian restaurants in London! We had chicken tikka and momos (similar to dumplings) for starters and prawn curry and chicken biryani for mains. All the food was absolutely delicious. The chicken tikka was so tender and the sauce for the momos was a bright spot. The prawn curry goes so well with the biryani and chicken. The staff were very friendly and professional. The only thing I would wish for is mango lassi in a taller glass - having two lassis would be too much but having one is not enough.
A. S.
Fantastic food and service. Everything was so precise and "just right". For your first visit, go for the 3 courses traditional tasting menu, it's absolutely great.
D. C.
Undoubtedly the best Indian food in London! I highly recommend the tasting menu with wine!
H. J.
The food is so good. Presentation is perfect. Venue is lovely and accessible by lift. Pineapple curry was unusual but very tasty. I could not fault any of the dishes. Very enjoyable visit. Staff were very attentive. Expect to pay between £50 to £100 per head.
S. A.
If you like Indian food, this is the place you have to try.
j. s.
Top curry house🤣🤣 Seriously, a superb experience.
With the exception of the clown on the front door, the rest of the staff were exceptional. We are the tasting menu and loved every mouthful.
A great place for a special treat.
S. S.
I came here for my birthday with my family last night and let’s just say the experience was AMAZING. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, making sure to fill out glasses and answer any questions. We didn’t get the name of our sever but he wears glasses and has a moustache, the care he provided to ensure we enjoyed our meal was excellent. The food sealed the deal. We ordered the spinach chaat, momos and Gilafi lamb kebabs. The kebabs were soft and melted in your mouth. The momos and the spinach chaat were exquisite, we actually asked for them again because they were just that good. The mains were once again great. We ordered the chicken biryani, chicken makhani, stuffed chills, chettinad aloo, prawn curry, steamed rice, roti and naan. The mains were absolutely faultless from the perfectly cooked buttery naans to the velvety prawn curry. At the end of the meal we were so stuffed we didn’t have any room for dessert although the menu did look interesting. We will definitely be coming again for family occasions. Thank you to the staff for making my birthday that much better!!
M. G.
Superb all round experience. Been dining at this establishment on and off since 2003. Always been a great place to eat. Elite Indian restaurant that deserves its status as one of the best Indian restaurants in the world.
M. C.
Without doubt the best Indian restaurant in the country. Great service, lovely restaurant and most importantly amazing food. Will definitely be dining here again.
w. h.
Easily the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Also the most expensive Indian food I’ve ever had but super cool vibe. Staff was amazing.
K. V.
Great service and food was delicious. Paneer was the best and true to the make fresh everyday speel the waiter gave us. Appetizers and drinks were great. Vegetarian entrees were good. My friends loved their lamb roganjosh, chicken makhani and halibut. Rasmalai and kala jamun were there best.
H. K.
Very average food for a 1 starred restaurant, unfortunately, the main course let us down as it came out cold. We decided to go for the mixed vegetarian platter. This comes in the small portions giving you a great idea of what the full size portion would be. The food lacked salt, spice and felt like the curries were heated up briefly before being served into thier individual portions. I have rated this experience three stars on the basis that the starters were fantastic, service was average. The big kick in the teeth was when I mentioned the temperature of the food, the duty manager waived the service charge, which is optional and something that I would have not paid. If you wish to experience a much classier, sophisticated Indian dining then there is plenty of choice around central London. To give anyone an idea of the meal and cost, we had 1 glass of wine, shot of whiskey, two individual starters, popodums, one veg platter, two individual naans all for £89.00. The Naans we had were "Masala chilli" which was a massive let down too! Not a great birthday meal, probably will not be back. A real shame. I hope this review helps anyone considering this restaurant.
K. P.
Delicious Indian food and great ambience! I organised a booking here for a New Years dinner with my family, and we all loved it! It was the first time we all went to the restaurant and everyone was very impressed, the restaurant was very nostalgic inside and it took you back! The atmosphere was perfect, very sophisticated and we got to have a conversation, we were not rushed and the staff were very accommodating of the 2 vegetarians and the fact we had to leave at a particular time as we were going to the theatre after. The cocktails and mocktails were delicious, especially the Mirchi Martini (with vodka, chilli and lychee) - pictures. We were well advised by the staff, so the portions worked out perfectly, the chicken lollipops were so crispy, the paneer in the vegetarian crescent platter was made in house and so soft, and the srikhand cannoli (a definite must try) and chocolate ganache were as good as they look in the pictures. I highly recommend going here for a celebratory dinner!

This is the oldest Indian restaurant in London. Has been open for 90 years. The food was good, but nothing I haven’t really experienced in Los Angeles. In fact, it just made me crave other places. Service was super slow and not very attentive. Was cool to try once for the history, but there’s better Indian food in London. Tradition and history doesn’t always equal the best. Not good for kids, not because of the food but the atmosphere and setting.
F. M.
Truly excellent. The food and service were superb. One of our party was late and the staff handled with charm and an absence of fuss that you don't see often.
M. S.
Food amazing. Portions so small.
J. M.
Very nice Indian food. Quite expensive but it is in prime position overlooking Regents Street. And it is the oldest Indian restaurant in the UK. If you go there try the pineapple curry as a side dish, very nice
H. A. M.
This is the UK's oldest surviving Indian restaurant since 1926).
The restaurant's decor and ambiance reeks of history and tradition.
VeeraSWamy's Cuisine is essentially traditional India. Food. It is delicious and full of flavour. The Biryani is one of the best I had for years. However, the dessert menu is both conventional and limited.
Service is attentive, friendly and efficient.
r. s.
Impeccable service; the food was tasteful , masterfully spiced and seasoned. My mother has wanted to eat here for 50 years and it met her expectations.
C. W.
I think the dishes are well prepared but as a fine dining Indian restaurant, I just feel the cooking is lacking something special. It lacks the vibrancy of the traditional cuisine so fine dining translates more to milder flavours than special flavours.
Service is very attentive and accommodating. I just wanted it to feel unique and astonishing.
A. D.
I attended the dinner service to celebrate a special occasion.
The service was superb, very attentive and responsive.
The food was good but not as good as the other Indian Michelin starred cuisine.
The food was also very pricey in comparison to other Michelin starred restaurants.
I am not sure whether I will return.
V. Y.
The ambiance in this place is amazing and the food tastes delicious. The staff was very polite and attentive. Restaurant is slightly on the expensive side- maybe slightly too much for what the portions are- but the food tastes good.
D. S.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. We had the tasting menu and the food was delicious. The service was excellent, happy to explain and catered for allergies with the minimum of fuss. Would highly recommend a visit. It is expensive, around £100 per head for the tasting menu, but it is worth it!
A. P.
Attended for private dining. Exceptional service, wonderful food,so accommodating for our group with menu preferences and a young child, could not fault at all. Would definitely recommend to any group looking for an intimate group setting. Thank you so much
S. M.
Flashy, fancy Indian in Piccadilly. Good value lunch menu where the mains were the winners, with average starters and below average deserts.
Starters - good coating of spices, but the squid itself was texturally more chewy than what you would expect. Raj Puri was a good mix of flavours.
On the seafood special, the green sea bass was excellent and the prawn curry was decent. In the vegetarian mains, the paneer dish was the highlight and the kofta was so-so.
We ordered the chocolate kulfi for dessert which was a let down. A good kulfi should have a melt in your mouth creamy consistency and it should taste of cream...whereby your mouth is wonderfully coated in cream after a bite. Unfortunately, the kulfi here arrived rock hard frozen (we couldn't cut it with a knife!) and this also means that we could not taste the creamy flavour.

went for Sunday lunch. despite the busy location, inside the place was quiet (at 1pm), perfect for a date! their 3 course at 37£ offer is very good considering the quality of the food, though options were quite limited and I would have preferred to go a la carte if available. service was attentive, at times too much, but as the place got busier towards the end (3pm) they also seemed to pay less attention (which was good for me, I don't like my glass to be filled the second it's empty, or my plate taken the moment I put the last morsel in my mouth)
S. J.
Fine dining at its best! Visited the place on our 10th wedding anniversary. Great food ! Excellent presentation and ambience ! All the staff including the reception lady and the gateman were very pleasant and wonderful. A big thank you to Jude who really made it special for us! Keep up the good work and we will definitely be back for more!
M. L. K.
Food was delish, although very pricey. Also, didn't get the fact that they took a booking for 2pm and then came at 220 to tell us that kitchen was closing! And while food tasted as good as it looked, it was way too heavy, which made me think that perhaps something somewhere wasn't right. Have never felt so uneasy after eating one naan and sharing veg curries before.
M. O.
Excellent food. Worth every penny. Service had some small issues and one big one... But the operations manager dealt with it, explained, apologised and all good.
C. B.
Disappointing. Setting is good but staff are not at the level you would expect at this price point and food is mediocre. Gymkhana and Quilon are several steps above if you want true Indian fine dining - Veeraswamy is trading on its location and history in my view.
B. R.
A well maintained place with ambient lighting. Great food served in a very stylish manner. Really enjoyed my time there. The staff was very helpful
D. K.
Very good food (if you like indian food). Location with history and still good service. Not the cheapest option around. Of you can book the eplace you will enjoy the tasty indian food on the first floor with windows overlooking Regent Street
B. W.
Today we booked table for 3 and I wanted to show my teenage children best fine dining indian experience on my son’s birthday. We have had starter and mains and all great. In the end we ordered some deserts and it was rather taking too long. I did not say anything just starting to have my chai. One of the staff came and said we need the table. I said but we are waiting for the deserts. It is clear he did not have clue what was going on. He then made another staff member to come and apologise. Food was delicious but service today was appalling from this one staff member. I hope it is one off Veeraswamy awful service you provided today.
J. P.
Eating at the oldest Indian restaurant in London is a rare treat and one to be savoured. The restaurant is located on the first floor and is a pleasant light and airy dining space. The staff provide a friendly and attentive service and are happy to engage guests in conversation about the menu or the history of the restaurant. The food is generally outstanding - the chicken tikka had a lovely depth of flavour and slight sweetness - the source of which we struggled to identify, our waitress checked with the chef who confirmed that it was from the addition of honey. The lamb pasanda had a subtle heat and was flavoursome. The duck vindaloo was our least favourite dish as we found that the vindaloo sauce worked against the duck rather than enhancing it. Dessert was coconut brulee which was sublime. Cocktails were excellent and the service outstanding... Especially the doorman. We look forward to returning - though will probably give the duck a miss!
U. A.
Not quite Michelin star. I would recommend Tamarind in Green Park more than Veeraswamy. Summary... Decent food. Limited variety. No chapli kebab on the normal menu :(
J. C.
We had the taster menu £65pp and it was amazing, such good quality of food. The staff was so friendly and attentive, they are very educated and told you in detail what was in the food. The cocktails are very good too
S. B.
Great atmosphere low lighting and gentle music gives it great ambiance. The food was very fresh and delicious. Would defo recommend and will revisit
J. Y.
Without doubt this has got to be the tastiest meal we have ever bought. The service was impeccable, the setting on Regent's Street is amazing, but most of all the food was just the tastiest, freshest, well cooked meal you could eat. By no means was this a cheap meal, but for a special occasion it's was worth the every penny. Will certainly be looking forward to eating here again.
K. K.
Went for the tasting menu - delicious!
R. P.
A favourite of ours. Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. The Raj kachori omg a thing of dreams. Love it. Looking forward to returning again soon.
A. M.
Nice food. Dessert was absolutely amazing - rose ice cream!! Food tastes good but a little overrated and very expensive for the small portions, deposits for bookings etc. Decor is very lavish and historical looking.
M. C.
Food was amazing. Disappointed that the dress code was not enforced. We were the only people dressed for dinner.
P. G.
Amazing food and service. Very expensive but worth the money. Attention to detail on the food is amazing. I went there for lunch with the girls and had the lunch time menu. 2 course £26 pounds and 3 course £30 pounds. Must go at least once for the experience.
S. S.
Lovely Indian restaurant located centrally and in a very tourist friendly area. The menu offers great variety for both vegetarians, fish and meat eaters. We were a group of six with varied dietary preferences including pescetarians and vegetarians which meant that we ended up ordering most of the menu and, needless to say, no one was disappointed.
We also had a three month old baby. The staff was very friendly, we had to stay beyond the lunch time as the baby got fussy and the restaurant was closing down for late afternoon hours. The staff was very accommodating and never once tried to rush us out. Would definitely visit again!
L. Y.
I’m not an Indian food fan but went there for a special occasion
The place is nice and the atmosphere
They have a very private room for 10 pax min
The service is attentive but a little bit slow when you come as a group
The food is very good but you have to handle at least the mild spice level !
M. A.
As you would expect from the oldest Indian in the UK, the food is fantastic. Anyone who goes really must try the pineapple curry, truly exceptional.
S. A.
Amazing meal and great service. Really enjoyed our meal there and very authentic tasting Indian food. The staff were very courteous and had great advice on food choices. Highly recommend.
A. A.
Historical restaurant in London, maybe the first Indian cuisine in Town.
They serve a good food and fantastic beryanies but the price is really high.
They take minimum charge per head 35£ which is expensive.
R. S.
Fine dining. Waiting times. Booking required. Awesome authentic Indian food however portions are tiny. £30 per person on an average meal. Great atmosphere, good staff. Quick service.
K. O.
Amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. We had the tasting menu with wine which was outstanding. Very different to any other Indian dining experience I've ever had.
A. H.
It had been a while since we were here last and we expected better. The food was good but nothing to rave about. The service was attentive but only after we pointed out that they had forgotten a dish. We would probably go try the many other Indian restaurant choices in London next time.
I. K.
Great food and good service. Very nice meal and would definitely recommend. Will be visiting again soon.
J. M.
Verraswarmy may have been around for a while, but they only gained their Michelin Star this year. It's very well deserved. The food is excellent and the lunchtime menu is extraordinarily good value for money.
p. g.
Delicious food and great ambience. Staff is very nice and food portion is also sufficient. Little bit on the expensive side but the taste of food makes it worth.
k. k.
Best customer service.. nice place for date. The food was expensive but it’s taste really nice 👌.. I took the set menu so u can tast everything for better price..
D.
Had an amazing experience. Very different to anything els in London. Truly spectacular and worth a visit.
T. A.
Delicious food, upscale & atmosphere. We had ordered chicken Biryani and lamb chops, they were so tasty 😋 . The service was excellent, and it is worth it to come again.
R. A.
My favourite Indian restaurant in London!
#PutChutney-5 (PutChutney scale ranks best restaurants to n a scale 0-5, from a service generosity point of view)
S. P.
Delicious food but with a high price tag! The Chicken Makhani and Lobster Curry were amongst my family and I's favourites. Be aware that even though Google shows one dollar sign on the profile, it is actually a high-end dining experience. Come dressed in no less than business casual clothes. As mentioned by another review, I do not imagine this is a good place for younger children because the atmosphere is very refined. Service is attentive. My family of five ordered 1 share plate, 2 entrees, 2 side dishes, a bread basket, and 2 bowls of steamed rice with a bottle of wine. We came out with full tummies!
P. A.
An amazing experience and undeniably the best indian food i have ever eaten
Well done to all the staff
D. M. W.
The oldest Indian Restaurant in London. It was recommended a friend of a friend who lives in London. Excellent food, ambiance and service.
H. S.
Aging decor and ambience. Food still good, but imo, by a long way not the best Indian you can find in London
M. C.
Classic Indian food that tastes as good as the place smells when you first walk in, great staff and great atmosphere!!! 10/10
M. F.
Top end indian food in a beautiful and stylish setting. Be prepared to pay for the privilege though.
J. W.
This was a very good meal if you want to empress your partner he or she will very much enjoy the food here fresh and tasty very clean service top class so give it a go I only say it as it is as I am very fussy about my food and this is very much worth a visit
D. B.
Absolutely amazing experience. Went with my wife on our honeymoon and they treated us great. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was a splurge, but we thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Each dish had great flavor and made me a lover of Indian food.
A. G.
Friendly staff, nice view, nice vibe and delicious food. Biryani was unbelievably amazing. But I would recommend it for lunch not dinner.
K.
Great. Very different menu to a traditional restaurant of this type. Highly recommend
J. M.
We had a lovely lunch experience today. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I'd totally recommend it
A. A.
The staff was very friendly lady at reception she was very very friendly the lamb briany is very delicious butter chicken very good briany chicken also very good but the price is expensive the service was good

My wife decided to book us in for an upmarket Indian meal here at Veeraswamy.
Now I am always sceptical about upmarket places, small portions, pretentious watered down dishes, expensive and fake smiling staff.
Well only one of the above fits the description of Veeraswamy... expensive, aside from that everything else is amazing.
As you can see the doorman was more than happy to pose for a pic, once inside the lady on reception was extremely pleasant and friendly making us feel welcomed and relaxed.
We were escorted to the table and looking around you could see that smart casual was fine but smart is the setting of the resturant so dressing up is not out of place.
Looking at the menu I realised yep it was expensive but the ingredients displayed for each dish made your mouth water, we opted to go for 3 courses from the menu which came to just under £200 including a drink each. The set menus start at £35 for 3 courses so you could easily get away with spending under £100 for two if you liked what you saw on there.
I asked how big the biryani was and when told it was enough for one my fear of expensive small dishes kicked in so i ordered roasted potatoes and Dal to accompany. To my suprise when it came the biryani was big enough to share between possibly three! The starters and main courses were absolutely out of this world, flavours, well cooked presentation just everything was exceptional about the dishes. I have never tasted Indian food like it! It's not like home cooked or a cosy family run resturant taste where its truly authentic, instead its fine dinning style with no spices or methods of traditional indian cooking spared.
Mango and strawberry mocktail was refreshing and fruity, the hibiscus champagne was delicately sweet and fruity too.
My only fault I could find was the dessert menu, I'm fussy when it comes to dessert so for me the choice didn't have anything I really wanted. However there's a lot to choose from so others may disagree and find the sorbet or traditional sweets to their liking.
The staff were attentive and genuinely connected enough with each person dining in the restaurant to ensure their needs were always met. It wasn't overbearing with someone standing over you at all times, but it was also not frustrating with you having to wave like a looney to get attention, it was tge perfect balance.
Overall, if you are going to treat yourself and fancy a glam but relaxed and belly pleasing time then definately make your way here.
Summary, an absolutely amazing place, with lovely staff and the some of the best food you will ever taste, book up and make sure you confirm your booking now!
Z. B.
Very nice restaurant, staff helpful & attentive. Food delicious.
G. L.
Incredible North Indian cuisine. One of the oldest Indian restaurants in London. The food is delicious and well presented. The service is also impeccable and friendly. Try the Mango lassi and Raj Kachori

Amazing food, ambience and hospitality! The lamb kofta rogan josh was out of the world!
This restaurant is a historical place too. Do read their brief history mentioned in the menu, and you can also ask Jude, a staff more about the place. Mentioning worthwhile, Jude made our experience more pleasant as he was constantly attentive to our needs, and also served us some raita as a complimentary at the end.
A. F.
Went here for my work party. The food was amongst some of the best food I've ever tasted.
I am also a bottled water enthusiast and interestingly they use Blenheim water which you are unable to buy, it is only supplied to restaurants and hotels.
R. P.
The oldest surviving Indian restaurant in the U.K., this is a solid choice for authentic food in one of the most touristy parts of town. The menu spans a number of normally disconnected regions in the country with the Tandoori dishes, the Biryani and the upmarket Raj Kachori all deserving attention.
However the real stand out is the Raan, lamb shoulder served with a bone marrow sauce, finished a few different ways depending on the day. Without doubt, this is one of the best things you can eat in this town.

We had a tasting menu. Delicious food and amazing cocktails! So full after all if this
S. H.
For very special Indian food with a twist this is the place to go. Amazing dishes and really generous in size....on the expensive side but worth every penny.
A. C.
Really delicious food. This resturant has a great history too which makes it feel all the more special. Slightly odd that there is a minimum spend per head of £35.
J. O.
We loved it! We wanted to try everything on the menu. We recommend the raj kachori, roast duck vindaloo, lobster curry, pineapple curry, angara chicken tikka, Kashmir rogan josh and the aloo gobi.
S. B.
Simply fantastic. Cant say enough about the service, cocktails and the food. Oh the food. I'll be back!
U. K.
Not bad. Was a very tasty lamb biryani tho.
A. S.
The food and drinks were great but not amazing for a Michelin star, and the service was not great, not bad. For the price it's an average experience.
A. B.
I have eaten here a few times due to convenience & ambience is nice. I think the decor of the restaurant is lovely and service is excellent but food is not special enough to be michelin star or luxurious. I think food is overly spicy & restaurant smells of curry from the minute you walk in which isn’t nice. I think the restaurant is very much 4* standard rather than 5*, very nice place but not spectacular!
L. S.
Good service. Not traditional Indian food but still good.
C. R.
The food is too good. Foodies will definitely love and enjoy the taste. Actually the food was absolutely wonderful from the preparation to presentation, very pleasing...
Had a lovely dinner
M. P.
Amazing location @ regent st. Rich ambiance and authentic north Indian food. Good option for a date night dinner or other special occasions
L. S.
If you're going for an epic white tablecloth authentic Indian cuisine experience, this is it. So many diverse dishes that are exquisitely executed. Tasting and pairing menus. Lovely decor and extremely attentive staff. Don't miss out on the prawn starter.
P. M.
Fantastic service, and food. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient. The timing of course delivery to the table was well considered and as a result we never felt like we were being rushed, which also allowed for us to fully enjoy our time within the restaurant. Our food was excellent as we expected from such a revered restaurant, with nothing but praise from the table for the wide variety of dishes we had ordered.
From a Covid safety perspective all staff were wearing face shields at all times and guest temperatures are checked before entering the venue, also hand sanitising stations are posted at multiple locations and diners are spread safely across the restaurant.
a. c.
Superb service and amazing dishes in this high end Indian restaurant. The lamb shank was to die for. One of the most expensive meals we've had but was worth it
R. A.
Great dining experience. Definitely not one dollar sign though. We went on a Sunday and had to do a prix fixe meal for $30 (minimum). Still worth every penny!
L. M.
As always, great food, location and service. We were served by a young and talented waiter, whose elegant manners in pouring the wine gave something more to our evening... Extremely professional! We recommend the lamb shank, cooked with a traditional royal recipe.
A. R.
Excellent place to buy something when in a rush. The customer service is quick, prices are reasonable, good mood. Would recommend to others
P. N.
High end restaurant with tasty Indian food. Amazing location next to Picadilly Circus. Recommended for special occasions or Sunday lunch.
P. H.
Food great. Service polite and attentive. Cocktails and wine yummy. Forgot to bring out a birthday cake which was a bit poor but genuinely apologetic. :)

Time Travel at Veeraswamy.
Veeraswamy is the oldest and the only Michelin Star Indian restaurant in London, in operation since March of 1926. My Great Grand Father Rai Sahib Bhola Singh traveled to London in July of 1926 and patronized the restaurant, and made mention of it in his memoirs.
The restaurant still operates from the same building and even carries a soup, the recipe of which has been passed down the generations. Unchanged.
I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant, on May 18th 2019, and relive what my Great Grand Father would have experienced. I had 'the' Mulligatawny soup and a number of dishes, all of which were superb. The Seekh Kebab, Butter Chicken, Prawn Curry and the Kulfi, in particular, were out of the world.
The Restaurant manager - Jude, was super nice, served us champagne, gave us the earliest picture of the restaurant and made sure we had a great experience.
1. N. V. T.
This is an upmarket Indian restaurant with high quality food and service to match.
There is a good range of starters - crab cakes were delicious- and the portion size was fine.
Mains are well served , delicately spiced , and again portion size is fine . Try the halibut which was really well cooked and flavoured with the side of pineapple curry !
Tables are well spaced and most have good location views inside and out.
Service was friendly and helpful?
Prices are high but so is the quality
K. K.
Outstanding service from a historic restaurant!
n. b.
Delicious food but the service and timings are absolutely underwhelming
C. W.
This restaurant has the best Indian food I have ever tasted. Excellent, quality service from friendly staff in a very pleasant atmosphere. Some would say it is expensive but, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone with a love of Indian cuisine. If you do visit, make sure you sample the pineapple curry, unbelievable flavours.
A. P.
Upscale Indian restaurant. The decor is marvelous. The food was superb. The only downside was at end when a 12.5% tip was added at the end of the bill even though it said it was a suggestion. I had them remove it. The wait staff are fully salaried with paid vacation and health insurance. Forced Tipping I feel is an insult to the an American customer. staff in America make below minimum wage, don't have health insurance, don't get paid vacation or sick time. They are get My 20% tip.
P. M.
Exceed indian cuisine. Submissive staff. Best service.
J. B.
Truly devine, amazing food served by really friendly staff. A true must if in London
D. r.
They managed to fit 10 of us in at the last minute at 10pm. Wonderful service and fantastic quality food. This is certainly at the high end of Indian dining (hence the Michelin star) but isn't pretentious. One diner described it as the best curry they've ever had!
M. E.
Amazing food best Indian food I've eaten , great service but will cost you a fortune.
Z.
Delicious food. Attentive staff. Fantastic recommendations.
S. S.
Great place!! Went there for anniversary dinner. The ambience is superb ,classic indian royal vibes one can get. The service was awesome ,all the staff is humble and polite and one can get a hint of royalty. Last but not least food and drinks - amazing menu ,great wine. Portion of the dish was decent and fulfilling.
L. B.
Oh my. The best Indian restaurant ever.
A. A.
Fancy restaurant. Food is just good but not the best you can have in London.
K. A.
Excellent food... With a good mix of traditional and unusual dishes. Their lamb specialty is interesting. The spice levels are perfect.
The location is amazing... good access, central, and has a bit of a view... The decor is good in the new section. There is a private dining room. The entrance is small though and you have to take an elevator. There are many large and circular tables.
S. M.
Great Indian food and service!
A. C.
I had very high expectations that were simply not met. I was trying to find a hot/spicy Indian dish in London and Birmingham. This restaurant was featured in multiple blogs. Despite ordering the 2 hottest dishes on the menu, they were not remotely spicy. Good flavor, but we'd had better for less money. There is a dress code as we almost didn't get in because one person was wearing shorts. Reservations are recommended. We showed up without any and despite a mix up in the table and number of people, they were able to squeeze us in, which we definitely appreciated.
F. D.
First of all the internal decor of Veeraswamy is just breath taking. The eclectic light pieces and furnishings transport you back to an era fine dining and sophistication. This is only surpassed by the food that is served. The aromatic dishes just transport you to Asia with every course. As you watch the hustle and bustle of Regent Street pass you by. Veeraswarmy is truly a jewel in London's culinary crown.
E. D.
Attentive staff and wonderful food, a frequently visited restaurant that’s consistently top of its game.
S. C.
The interior was the first thing that impressed me about this place. It has a pleasant atmosphere although it sometimes gets a bit noisy. The food was delicious and I was impressed with the polite service. If I have to point one thing that I'll be going back again to try, it's the pineapple curry. Overall, this is probably the best Indian meal I've had thanks to the guidance of the waiter. As i didn't find what I normally order at such restaurants, I had to ask for help and I'm really glad I did as the dishes were all delectable and unique in flavour.
K. S.
The food here will take your words away! Amazing and worth it!
K. K.
Good quality food in a nice environment. There was good availability on a Sunday night and the staff were very attentive. We went for the £65 taster menu which provided a good variety of prawn, lobster, chicken and lamb dishes. There is a separate veg menu if preferred.
N.
Really good food, and super royal interior. The dessert was too good for us to even wait to take a picture of!
A. O.
From start to finish an utterly pleasurable experience. We celebrated a birthday and received a welcome glass of champagne. Followed by a very educated explaination of the dishes with highly recommended platters. The ambience, taste and exquiste service never let our wine glass run dry. Perfect evening. We strongly recommend dining here.
W. L.
Overall nice food and decor. Slightly overpriced though given portion was a bit small.
L. H.
We love this place. It's a little more expensive compared to a regular Indian but we'll worth it. The cocktails are really lovely recommend the hibiscus ones. And the quality and quantity of the mains and starters is great. So many great flavours
L. W.
The finest Indian food. The flavors are exceptional. The seasonings have a way of touching your senses with just enough heat. The absolute best Indian restaurant in my humble opinion. I travel all of the way from Chicago 4 times a year just to have these flavors.
S. A.
Great place for fine dining. Food was well presented n tasty. The business lunch is a great option with many choices. Dessert a bit of a letdown. Definitely worth trying if you haven't been here!
J. S.
Food is unbelievable, staff are great. Really nice restaurant but it is a little pricey
A. D.
Very good food with some of the best Indian dishes we've ever had. All the dishes that we had were brilliant and the décor was up there too.
A. V.
What an amazing place. Food was lovely. Most Indian restaurants are too busy making their food so incredibly rich and oily which I always find hard to stomach. But not here. The food is the closest I have tasted to real authentic home cooked Indian food.... period! It's expensive but the food alone is worth it... coupled with the overall experience, it's priceless.
D. L. N.
I had such high hopes for this place. The reservations are hard to get, the place has massive history, the wait staff and service was great... but somehow their food failed to impress me. The staff at the door was very friendly. They take your coats and bags to make life easier. There’s an elevator to get up to the dining floor. We ordered the 3 course dinner and each of us ordered each of the three vegetarian specials > the paneer dish, malai kofta and the sampler version. The paneer was heavenly, they definitely make their own or have some specialty supplier. The malai kofta left a lot to be desired. The daal in the sampler was good. The aloo (potato) sabji was really good. The breads were out-of-this-world awesome! We ordered the dosas for starters and they were not traditional, but very nicely done. The paneer starter was delish. For dessert, we had the kalajaam, the rasmalai, and the sorbet. These were insanely good. But the portions were super tiny by any stretch of imagination. And I’m comparing them against both Indian and American portions. If I served a single kalajaam or rasmalai in a serving to my guests at home, I’d be so embarrassed!
L. V. H.
Elegant Indian restaurant with a panoramic 2nd floor dining area. Menu options are imaginative and well presented. Staff is professional and informative. We enjoyed every course....a top choice for Indian food while in London.
A. R.
I had the most lovely night here. I was with my husband and 15 minutes in, we were already amazed by the brilliant interior and friendly service. We were offered menus and drinks and our waiter was with us just when we were ready to order. The crab cake started was amazingly delicious and the pineapple curry - flavourful and quite tasty.
On the whole, the place is quite fancy and I loved my stay there. I'll be sure to visit again.
V. H.
Lovely decor, great central location. Staff very welcoming but can be annoying when they keep asking us if we'd like to place an order within a minute of handing us menu. Portions also very tiny and pricey but the chicken tikka was delicious. Paneer was not as good. Naan very fluffy and lovely Toilets very clean.
I. C.
Still as fantastic as ever. We have been at least twice per year for the last 5 years, and the service, food and ambience has not changed since the well deserved star. If you want genuinely lovely, authentic Indian food with impeccable service and reasonable prices, look no further. We'll be back very soon, and we live 50 miles away
M. B. B.
Welcomed by the uniformed staff member on the ground floor we were ushered into a lift to the first floor dining room, a lovely authentic Indian atmosphere and delightful aroma greeted us.
This restaurant has been in operation for a very long time, since 1926, remarkable.
We chose to have the set 3 courses, beginning with a lovely mulligatawny soup then Kerala prawn curry, really good. Desert was a bit of a struggle but with effort we managed the lovely sorbets.
The staff were very good and helpful.
Our next visit is guaranteed!
C. D.
Great welcome, lovely view out over Regent Street, impeccable service and delicious food. Perfect dinner
E. G.
Nice decor and atmosphere with very attentive and prompt service.
Unfortunately, food quality doesn't match the price you pay for it. With London being the place for Indian cuisine there are better and cheaper places to try.
You are paying for prime location, service and decor. Good for visitors trying out Indian kitchen. Not recommended for gourmet crowd.
On the other hand, there is nothing better to recommend within walking distance.

Delicious indian food

Good was ok

The ambience is certainly old-world, but that's to be expected in what is clearly an institution. We found the service to be friendly and helpful - we were given a lot of advice without feeling in the least bit patronised.
A view over the street can be hard to get if you're dining as a couple, since most of the tables at the window were set for 4 when we were there.
However, the main point is the food, which we thought was excellent. Being from the West of Scotland, we have had more than our fair share of curries, but Veeraswamy was a cut above. Some of the flavours and the combinations we ate were, quite simply, new to us, and delicious. Even old favourites were beautifully executed.

My mother and father had a particularly special dinner here in 1966. In 1992, as a family returning to visit London from our home in Australia, my parents and 3/7 of their offspring enjoyed the delights that is British India served in London since 1926. Perhaps in 2020, I’ll make another pilgrimage, this time with my little family. Now there’s a lovely goal! So happy to suddenly think of this place while watching a show about The Beatles, and their 1966 Indian influences.

I never fail to be impressed and pleased with the quality of food and service here. Lost count of the number of times I've been over the years. Hosted a dinner party using the Private Dining Room for 14 people and it couldn't have gone any better. My guests were absolutely delighted by it all. The attention to detail, the service, the presentation, the taste, the setting, the decor - just right on the money as far as I was concerned. If you're having a starter course, ignore the menu choice and just ask for the Raj Kachori. Regal street food, they call it. Indeed it is.
J. M.
Quality and tasty Indian food, probably the best one I’ve had so far. I believe it’s one of the oldest Indian restaurants in London and it deserves the five stars. So many years in the restaurant business have to be acknowledged. Pure food excellence that comes for a price that not anyone can pay, but an Indian food addict like me appreciates the chef’s skills.
P. P.
Had a brilliant time here Saturday night. Service and food was fantastic. We fed back a couple of very minor things that got resolved instantly without us really asking for anything in particular to be resolved. Have not been for a few years (as we had children and moved away from London) so it was lovely to see it still lived up to and exceeded our expectations! Thank you!
k. k.
Delicious food. I have been here couple of times and found their food really nice. Food came hot and in good time as well. Definitely the best food restaurant in town. I recommend to all my brothers and sisters who are after good food around this area. veeraswamy is best you can have here.
P. W.
I love the sense of occasion when we go Veeraswamy: entrance is via a discrete doorway in Swallow Street and a lift up to the first floor, where all the noise from the busy street below has disappeared and the angels of the Regent Street Christmas lights can be seen unhindered.
We had starters of lamb samosas and raj kachori and both dishes were nicely weighted in terms of size and flavour, just enough to make you anticipate the next course. Moving on to the main event, we had plum dopiaza and Hyderabadi lamb biryani. The biryani was huge, but the meat was still very tender, moist and awash with flavour. The dopiaza had a little heat but it didn't block the underlying flavours which were subtle and perfectly blended.
A meal at Veeraswamy is definitely not a typical visit to your local curry house and that is reflected in the price. We paid c. 180 pounds for dinner for 2, including drinks and service, which is in line with the prices mentioned on the website. The service at Veeraswamy is attentive without being intrusive but at the same time it's unerringly polite and adds to the overall experience of dining here.
There's a reason that Veeraswamy is the oldest curry house in the UK (their stat, not mine btw): they get everything right and they are very good at what they do.
B. S.
I have eaten here multiple times and every time it has been excellent! Some of the best Indian food I have eaten and have mentioned going here to multiple friends. If you want to treat yourself to a fine Indian meal this is definitely the place to go. It has a very traditional feel they offer really great service.
P. S.
Very nice Indian restaurant. Established in 1926, and continues to be one of the top rated restaurants in London. I ordered a vegetable palette, with naan bread. Food came under 20 minutes and was extremely well cooked. Highly recommended.
G. Z.
Absolutely love it. Every time I visit London I try to have dinner here. Their Mulligatawny is the best soup ever. It's so good you don't want to wash away that taste with the main course. It's must have!!!
h. g.
This was a special birthday celebration and also the first time we had dined at the restaurant. It certainly was a cut above other indian restaurants in terms of service and quality of the dishes. The portion sizes were perfect and the naan bread was the best we had tasted.
E. W.
Polite personnel, good atmosphere. The menu is ok, you can find tasty drinks there. But personally speaking - for me sometimes it is too crowded there and noisy. It is hard to hear my own thoughts.
However, if you are trying to spend an exciting evening ( not in your bed, reading a book or watching TV), this Indian place is the right one for you.
Besides, have you ever tried Indian food? It is delicious, quite spicy and rich of flavours.
S. D.
My wife booked the table through the website, this was a treat for my birthday.
For starters we shared one of the Raj kachori's, which was recommended by the very helpful waitress and we also tried the kerala style venison and quail scotch eggs, and ordered a second round of these they were so tasty.
Mains were a slow cooked Lamb biriani and a chicken Makhani, both were delicious.
Can't fault the staff, the service was fantastic and very helpful. Food was some of the best I have ever had in a Indian restaurant. Was very expensive put worth every penny.
N. M.
I ate at Veeraswamy restaurant for the first time on the 19th October. I heard about this restaurant from having previously visited Amaya. They recommended I also check out Veeraswamy. My fiancé (husband now!! Also has been here before) and I wanted to have our Nikah marriage ceremony here. We booked the private dining room in advance and I was in constant communication with the manager, Jude who was super helpful and attentive throughout. He paid such close attention to small details and even gave us suggestions for decor which we incorporated. The food was absolutely delicious. This is a Michelin Restaurant for food but their service is also Michelin! We had a beautiful day and enjoyed every minute. We’ll definitely be back again! Thank you so much Jude x
A. S.
I made a visit to this restaurant with high expectations as I have never dined in a Michelin star restaurant before. My first impression of this place was ordinary, just like any other fine dining restaurant. The tables were quite close to each other that I had to squeeze through inbetween get to my seat almost touching other diner's Nan bread with my jeans which felt quite embarrassing.
We ordered three starters which were quite small portions but tasted ok. Chicken Angara and Raj Kachori tasted nice. The paneer starter was relatively bland. The mint chutney felt over salted and lacked balance in flavour.
Then came the biryani and pistachio chicken curry with nan. Both the dishes were nice but nothing special. The biryani rice was quite aromatic and boneless lamb tender but the masala lacked flavour which made it bland. As an Indian and regular foodie to Indian restaurants, I was convinced that I had better biryani than this in Darbaar Restaurant, Snowden street. I would urge the manager to try the biryani there just so they are convinced that their Michelin star biryani is actually not the top in London.
There was a £6 charge for the raita that we ordered along with the biryani. The fact that the raita was sweet was another dilemma as I have never had a thick sweet raita with biryani in my whole life.
At the end, the food was nice but definitely not over the top or worth the value as we were charged around £140 for 2 of us. The waiters did their job well and we were looked after which was reflected in the added service charge. The food taste was nowhere close to the food made in India itself so I am afraid you still have to go to India to have the authentic experience.
Other alternatives that are doing food similar to this but offer way more value would be Dishoom or Darbaar. Dishoom is on the more economical side and Darbaar is more on the high end side but still a higher end than Veeraswamy.
This place did not quite live up to my expectations as it did not add value to my experience.
H. J. K.
Authentic Indian cuisine in the city of London. The service was great and the portion was just right to share. Was a bit expensive but it is in the middle of Regent’s Street.
D. C.
This is superb Indian food. The dishes I have never seen elsewhere, and are delicious. The flavours are subtle and aromatic. Recommend the chicken biryani, or the vegetable kofta. The service is excellent as well. A wonderful dining experience.
s. p.
Fabulous location as well as service. Though the menu is selective and limited in choice, the food does reflect genuine Indian taste.
It caters well to vegetarians like any Indian eatery. Dal and okra sides are awesome.
Only disappointing dish was Pistachio Salan which hardly had taste of pistachio and didn’t live upto the description and expectations with very liquid base.
J. I.
Cool central location overlooking Regents Street with a high end vibe. This Indian restaurant has a nice range of tasty dishes that were all above your average curry house. The prawn dishes were particularly good. However, when you consider the high price, the terrible poppadoms, the lack of any Indian beer, and the competition of places like Gymkhana, Hoppers, Gunpowder, and Dishoom you should only really go here if you are a wealthy tourist or high networth London resident with more money than taste.
L. O.
Amazing service and fabulous food, nothing less than you would expect from a restaurant of this quality and pedigree.
M. O.
Fine Indian dining. A real treat. The food is superb as is the whole dining experience. Lunch set menu is great value. Waiting for next anniversary / significant birthday for return visit 😁

Quite likely the best Indian food on the planet. Staff is friendly and atmosphere is lovely. Even the cocktails are great.

Decor reminiscent of raj. Food is well prepared, decent portions with courteous staff. Wine menu is exhaustive but cocktails are limited.

My girlfriend took me for my birthday and it was a great choice. I cannot fault anything. The service was exceptional. The food was even better !
A. B.
Veeraswamy is so fashionable.
The eye for detail in every aspect of decor, style, food & drinks is class apart.
The detailed service style with the exceptional taste of food makes this restaurant stand out from its competitors.
It is extremely difficult to single out dishes of this restaurant to be your Favorite.
In all, a fantastic place to dine and recommend.

Great in Indian. High end, might be my incorrect memory but they seem to have a lot more regular Indian food than the last time I went, 15+ years ago. Prior it seemed more unusual modern. Was amazing then, and is amazing now too.

Fabulous service for all of us. Great food. Took others advice in reviews with the Raj Kachori as a starter and loved it. They were great with my son who wasn't going to eat anything there, and also great with my father who last went there 80 years ago.

It may be the oldest, and probably the most expensive, but accolades aside it still serves excellent food. If you take away all the faff the food still holds it own. I wouldn't go back weekly (like I do with my local) but I would certainly head back there when I want to spend the money on slightly more fine dining experience.
Don't be put off by the price or the pomp. Enjoy the food!

Great experience, food lovely, interesting south asian flavours. The attention from the waiters was a bit lacking though, you do expect your waiter to talk a bit more and put you at ease but the waiters do not seem to do that. Merely bringing you food and filling your glasses. Shame as food is good. Doesn't compare to the service you get at say Rasoi or Benares. But then you pay twice as much there.
P. N.
Nice ambience, average food
We were a large party and had a fixed menu. Service was attentive and good, but the food was mediocre, aside from the gulab jamun at the end (but it's hard to go wrong with a gulab jamun!). The main dish curries were overly rich and heavy, and clearly aimed at the western palette.
S. M.
Though expensive (£60 for one for the taster menu), the food was very good with nice understated service.
The only thing that was disappointing is that we were there for lunch and there were 6 tables by the window and we asked if we could sit there. The young greeter/seater said that we could not. I asked if it was reserved and he said, "no, but as there are only two of you, our policy is not to have you seated there". During the entire lunch, only one of those tables was occupied and we would have gladly moved if they really needed the table. Their management really needs to look at that policy as it really made it less of an experience as it could have been.
The £48 bottle of Portuguese red wine we had didn't quite open up but it did taste better with the excellent food.
R. F.
Limited options in the menu. Food was below average.
