Not many cods in London can be cooked in such an elegant way. They taste so special that you can even feel the texture of their muscle. Nice food and reasonable price. This is a must-try.

Great fish & chip shop! With amazing artwork and massive portions, Vintage Fish is one of the places to be, whether that be on an AFC Wimbledon matchday or otherwise. This beautiful, historic shop even attracts first team Wimbledon players! Plus the man serving gave me three free cans - two Coke and one Fanta! Lovely fish (cod) and chips delivered. Cod could have been a little hotter as delivery time was only five minutes, but that's the nature of delivery vs eating in. For a regular sized portion of chips, I feel there could have been a few more, but those are minor complains in what was otherwise a lovely meal.

What a great customer experience. I stumbled across this fish and chip shop by chance and was gladly taken back by the stylish decor and lovely packaging. You can really see that there has been great care given to the finer details. The rosemary chips and curry sauce was lovely. I was delighted to hear that the majority of the items on the menu, such as the mushy peas and coleslaw were freshly handmade everyday. Will definitely be revisiting this lovely local spot. Excellent. If you want traditional fish and chips then Vintage Fish is well worth a visit. They have a small selection of deep fried fish, including Cod, Haddock, Fancy and Plaice. All the trimmings including mushy peas are also available. They have an alcohol license so you can even get a bottle or glass of wine.

Quality seems to have gone down a lot lately, especially the chips. Prices have all gone up and you'll easily pay over £10 for a small peice of fish with chips, let alone adding extras like mushy peas. Disappointing as the food here was always excellent before.

Very well run fish and chip takeaway with extras like pies on the menu. You really feel they want you to like their business and be a returning customer. My plaice was as fresh as it gets, given that it's not just been caught. The presentation is also a cut above the others. So, you get a good sized meal for two, for just under £20. Recently ordering on deliveroo and everything has been really good. Best chips I’ve had in the Wandsworth/Wimbledon area. The cod could have had another minute in the fryer as was a tiny bit soggy, and the first time I’ve ordered the cod so might not bother again. But have also had the sausages, whitebait and curry sauce and all excellent. Recommended with no hesitation

Our local chippy. Great quality for a London fish and chip shop, although never going to beat the seaside, definitely better than your average pub type offering. Offer of £17 for two huge pieces of fish, a massive portion of chips and two sides (with plenty to choose from) is really good value. The home made mushy peas and tartar sauce are great.

Consistently great fish even if a bit pricey. Traditional seen as the cheaper option, fish and chips can be a bit hit and miss. Usually we reserve such cuisine for when we’re by the sea as I’ve found it difficult to get reliable good seafood in London unless you pay through the nose or procure yourself. This place is the rare exception. Having visited about a dozen times, we’ve never had a bad meal. Portions are generous and the fish always incredibly fresh and juicy. You will likely have to wait whilst they batter and fry your serving from scratch but it’s worth it.

FYI - since writing the review below and not receiving a response from the establishment we have now used other chip shops in Wimbledon. Experiencing much more value for money. Disappointed We were told that we had to wait for the fish, no problem at all. Then told All was ok, even better, we were getting fed quicker, great expectation management. However Get home and the cod (4 times) were no bigger than gold fish. Feel very very ripped off guys. We have used you six or seven times now even using the restaurant but now feel very very disappointed.

I was excited to see that Vintage Fish has arrived in Wimbledon (they are a family business with restaurants in Waterloo and Blackheath - Leopold Road, Wimbledon opened a few weeks ago). I had the best take-away fish and chips last night. The cod was so fresh and perfectly cooked; the fish was tender and coated in golden batter which was crispy yet not greasy. The chips were chunky and very well cooked. The service was friendly and professional - it's evident that the guys running this restaurant are passionate about providing the best food and service for their Wimbledon customers.

This is a review on food only as we have only ordered through Deliveroo. The food quality is really good and arrived fresh and well presented and with the little touches I would expect to see if I ate at the restaurant like the little sprinkling of parsley. Has an economical cod sharing deal for two. The cod is small but its flesh is firm. The chips are bland. So, you have to sprinkle your own salt and vinegar. The fried aubergine is too oily. Just order the cod with onion rings and no chips.
