Really had some expectations to this place. The menu seems very unique and reviews were all over good. Well, burgers are very average and chips were almost like half cooked oven chips. Burger salad was a single leaf of iceberg that was cut yesterday (red edges). Kids burger is a joke though the price is low. The picture actually shows the patty before we ate anything. Place is generally run down and in need of a good clean. Service was very good though so I really hope this place gets it right.

We've been three times now and it's actually quite good, though wait times can be long. We've tried the Breakfast Waffle which was very good, the Mac'n Cheese with chilli beef which was also great but just too big a portion for two people and their Smoked Salmon and creamed cheese bagel with coffee. All are great. The New Orleans Chicken Wings (original) were the favourites though. The not so great would have to be the southern fried chicken strips ( very dry) and their version of Jambalaya ( bland) which seems to have dropped off the menu. Its a welcoming place so reserve a table to avoid disappointment.

My little family had the pleasure of dining at waffle Jack's and was amazed a perfect place for families, with interactive tables which worked brilliantly entertaining my one year old son whilst he ate and even whilst he waited for us to finish. The owner Steve was very hospitable and attentive to all guests in the diner. I ordered the NYC breakfast and even though it was a large portion it was not greasy and I did not feel heavy at the end (including the fried slice I requested). But the star dish had to be the waffles (Mrs Waffle Jack's special recipe)... I ordered a second plate since it was so light, fluffy and tasty. Will be back for sure.

Me and the ms went down to Waffle jacks on a spur of the moment as we wanted chicken and waffles. They were very busy but the staff were very helpful in menu selections. A quick tip is the waffles are the sizes of the small record discs on the walls. The food was very good, the milkshakes were to die for and the venue was tastefully decorated. Also compared to other diners ive been to the food is very reasonably priced for what you get. The staff were very attentive the meal but weren't too intrusive and allowed us to enjoy our experience (if you're reading this, this is very good please keep this up). Will defo pop in there again when we are in the area.

I haven't felt so valued as a customer in a restaurant for such a long time, the staff made me feel really at home and ease whilst ensuring to keep spirits high. The atmosphere was great and the place really is a hidden gem! I would highly recommend Waffle Jack's, and suggest for the sliders option, they were a great choice! Will definitely be coming back with more people next time! Also loved the interactive tables with games, puzzles, news etc, really added to the experience.

I had vege burger which was very nice, the chips were soggy and mushy though. However, the other pepple i was with enjoyed all of their meals, desserts ans mikshakes. They even had soya milk for the lattes, which I would never have thought. they have interactive game playing dining tables, which is a good idea for the kids and adults too! The overall ambience was really lovely, the owner/manager was very welcoming and friendly and made us (group of 8) feel at home. I would defo recommend and go back.

Passed by this place hundreds of times but never went in until my friend needed to stop in the area. I was really surprised. It was on a cold day and it was super full inside. Staff asked if we'd like to wait inside for a seat but we said we'd be fine outdoors. They asked us a few times if we were okay, if our food remained hot enough, and told us when seats became available inside. We were served really fast. I mean, right away, even though it was busy. Ordering was easy; you put together your waffle choosing the base (plain, cinnamon, gluten free, red velvet, etc), the size, and toppings. I had half a cinnamon waffle with peanut butter, banana, and maple syrup. It was mouth-wateringly good. Not sure what I expected but it wasn't that. I vastly prefer it over Wafflemeister in Wimbledon. It tasted great and they didn't hold back on toppings. I went back again soon after with my mum and she loved it too. This time we sat inside, and the décor's really cute. Retro American diner with names tables. My mum adores Elvis Presley, so his records and photos on the walls pleased her. Right beside the Nelson Health Centre, between Raynes Park and Wimbledon, and close by Wimbledon Chase Station, it's easy to find an excuse to go.

Well bloody hell... these hot wings will make you regret not buying a drink! Spicy in all the right places but the sticky bbq sauce really finishes it off nicely. Great size and served with awesome french frys. The staff here are very friendly aswell! If you are in the area or even you aren't you have to go to Waffle Jack's!

The staff are so friendly, the food is excellent and the fun the kids can have on the interactive tables is endless. I asked for a rib eye steak to be cooked blue, which is very difficult to get right. They offered for me to do it myself on the table, which I might do next time, but I wanted to see how they done it. The first attempt was still cold in the middle but it was no problem to them. They just put it back onto the griddle for another 30 seconds each side and it was perfect. My daughter had a whole waffle with bacon and maple syrup and she loved it. On the whole it was a great experience and definitely will be returning another day.

Popped in here cause it looked quirky and I love waffles. Decided to share a waffle with my partner. Nutella marshmallows and cream. I thought it was a little pricey for waffles..... HOWEVER I understand why once we tasted it. The waffle tasted freshly cooked, beautifully spongy and soft. I've been to America and tried some lovely fresh waffles but this was next level. Generous toppings and just a real delight. The only reasons it's not a five star rating is 1. The place is decorated very quirky and I love the look but i think it looks a tiny bit dated in places. 2. I only tried one thing. (I will definitely be returning based on that one thing, and I guess I can always update this review when I've tried more things) Dont be put off for the prices, it's definitely worth it if you have the waffles!

Great food, great ambience, great customer service and some really cool table electronic games embedded as a large screen which forms the entire table. A hidden treasure in Wimbledon Chase. We went back again yesterday and spoke at length to the owner. I can see where the ethos for great customer service comes from to. Stephen spoke to most of his customers and I could he has established a friendship with many.

Very nice place, helpful staff and authentic atmosphere. The gluten free waffles were delicious with lots of toppings and souces to pick from. The hot dog was also nice and the portion sizes are huge. Small fries were more like large which I will not complain a about. Overall a nice cafe type food.

I've got just a "take away" so I can't review the restaurant. The bacon burger was surprisingly big with lots of fresh tomatoes, onion etc, but the meat was without any taste so I'm worried if my two covid vaccines work ;)

I went to Waffle Jacks yesterday for a 40th birthday meal and wow what an experience. The service was excellent and the food was all fresh and very tasty. We ordered two slider platters and a vegetarian hotdog meal. All of it was hot and delicious. The American style decor is great. My children loved the interactive table and we all can't wait to go back there again.

First impression came from the hugely friendly welcome given by whom I assume was the owner. Made us feel extremely welcome and service continued to be excellent throughout. Me and my girlfriend both had half a waffle each with extra toppings along with a couple of soft drinks. All was very well done and came to less than £25. Only thing to mention is there are limited tables inside so booking is advised.

I regularly visit this restaurant with one of my mates. The food is as good as you'd expect from an American diner - not phenomenal yet perfectly acceptable. The staff are very friendly, especially the owner. One point to improve would be the decor - it seems a bit exhausted and dilapidated however not to the extent that it would turn people away from eating there. Overall I would recommend this restaurant for a quick meal or box of chips. Makes a good place for a casual meal.

Great food and really wonderful service. We had Philly cheese steak sandwiches, breakfast waffles with bacon and maple syrup and full breakfasts with teas and coffees, bubblegum milkshakes and slushies for the kids. Nicest people at a Takeaway, ever. So welcoming, even though COVID wouldn't let us go in. Onion rings are amazing, and Milkshakes are so good. Mac Cheese was odd though. Literally one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in terms of the service the boss is extremely well mannered, has a great charm, knows how to make you feel great as a customer! Also the food is excellent the portions are very American! The boss really explains the menu and insists on the waffles which was amazing and fluffy the southern fried chicken that we ordered as our topping was actually so tasty and went perfectly with the waffle and maple syrup. The interior design really represents the American theme! Overall I would give this restaurant a 10/10. Not to forget they have an interactive table with games and drawing board. The staff are very accommodating and guy who I believe is the owner/manager is always checking if your okay, he has a very warm, cheerful and has a pleasant manner. I bought a Groupon promo for Waffle Jack's American Diner and we were not disappointed! The platter of burgers were amazing! Even though the burgers look small, they are very filling. The beef patties were tender and the salad was super fresh! The chips and onion rings made the deal even better! Stephan (the owner) is a true hospitality professional as he was very friendly and spoke passionately about his business. There are some unusual soda imported from Mexico and they were very refreshing! If you are in the Wimbledon area do visit Waffle Jack's and you will not be sorry. There are some tables that are basically giant iPads, So you can have a good play around on a few games while having your meal (please see pictures).

Waffle Jacks is one of the best places to eat anywhere near the Wimbledon Chase area.Although quite a small venue, the decor is great and the tables are actually touch screen games and puzzles!! It's a hidden gem in Southwest London. We have been craving for a good American style diner for a long time. We stumbled upon this little diner in Merton area. We were not sure at first. Our first visit to this place changed it all. They serve a wonderful spread of American style food. Best waffles, pancakes and hash brown. They are situated very well in front of the Nelson health center and very easily accessible by bus Nd train. If arriving by train, use the Wimbledon chase station. The staff here is very friendly and makes sure that the customers have all they want. The tables are fitted with interactive games and if visiting with family or friends or alone, you can have a go at the games and spend time enjoying your meal. The ambience is very lovely, filled with license plates from various US states. It definitely has the right attention to details to make it feel like an American diner. The upholstery, looks and food. We visit this place frequently now as we enjoy the food.

If you are looking for something a bit special then this place is perfect! I had a cricket match nearby and arrived early so decided to go for lunch... enter Waffle Jack's. I walked in the door and was greeted like an old friend and made totally at home, the staff and management are the nicest people you will ever meet! The place is decorated with some amazing items and has a great atmosphere and a real buzz of excitement. The menu was vast with anything from omelettes to steak and of course... Waffles! The food was exceptional and the kitchen team do an amazing job to provide great tasting food time and time again! I enjoyed the experience so much in went back the next morning for another helping of incredible cuisine! Note to anyone visiting! The milkshakes are the best in europe and it might sound strange but get the passionfruit milkshake, the manager advised me to try it and boy was he right! You will not be disappointed! Some people write reviews that might be negative but ignore those "Haters". Go and give it a try, I guarantee that you will go back there to try something new and have a great time. Have visited WJ twice now and have had excellent service both times. Food is well cooked and large portions, I think the best tasting onion rings are served here. My son particularly enjoys the freshly made milkshakes. Not tasted the deserts yet as always too full from the burgers or hot dogs.

What an absolute gem of a place. Actually selling take away food to us key workers, nhs staff and everyone else at this difficult time. Crazy as it sounds it's actually really difficult to find great food whilst out delivering to the high streets. Amazing Reuben sandwich on doorstep thick white bread. We went to Waffle Jacks on sunday (fathers day) after finding the restaurant on groupon and we were not disappointed. We went with our two children 4 and 6 and they loved the table firstly then amazingly they had all their food without moaning. The food was amazing, we had the sharing platter with a normal size burger and kids hotdog meal followed by jack the clown kids ice cream, kids brownie (amazing portion size), red velvet waffle and a normal waffle with an milk shake.. Yes we went crazy and had too much food but it was so bloody gorgeous we had it all lol.. we will definitely be returning asap, this will now be our new favourite place.

It has potential... but also a long way to go! Seems like one of those small places that got popular quicker than anticipated and has been caught out by it. Food wasn't too bad, cheese on the chips had a strange texture and no taste... Couple of hygiene issues, saw one of the staff sneeze then wipe his hands on his trousers then carry on taking plates to tables, and no hairnets for the staff prepping the food?! Like I said, I can see potential, but it'd need someone to delegate the staff (as it was a bit chaotic with everyone doing half jobs), hygiene improved, and maybe plan the space out a bit better as it's a bit cramped... Great atmosphere! The owner was really friendly and the food is good. I had a cinnamon waffle with southern fried chicken, egg and a bit of syrup. I would totally recommend this place to meet up with friends or for a fun and affordable date night. Did I mention it was affordable? All together we got a milkshake and two waffles with toppings for less than £11. 😍
